Lyner Barsett      Lyner Barsett had a problem.

After enjoying a relaxing vacation with Misha, they'd returned to Njorun for their own separate duties and responsibilities. But Lyner...Lyner was faced with a conundrum. ....A conundrum the likes of which he needed to get an opinion on. A conundrum....that at this moment...he could only think of one person to ask.

     Mir.

And so here Lyner came, stepping through the door of Misha's apartment. But this time, he was prepared. He inclined his gaze upwards as he stepped into the main area.

     "Miiiiiir? You here?"

No, he wasn't going to be SPIDERMAN'd today! Nope. Nosirree.
Jakuri     Never one to disappoint, Mir makes a surprise entrance. This time, however... "Hi." She pops up from behind the couch! "What is it?" She's not good at being, well... Not blunt. Still, she seems to be slowly warming up to Lyner's general existence! Slooowly. "I'm always here. Unless i'm not. Such a silly thing to ask." Hopping over the couch and plopping down to sit, she offers a somewhat overwrought yawn and a stretch. "It's not often you come looking for me specifically... So. What is it you screwed up?"
Lyner Barsett      "BWAHGDdaf-!"

     Mission Failed.

In a moment of Deja Vu, Lyner jumped and then dramatically backpedaled, flailing his arms comically until he crashed right back against a wall. "M-Mir! Why, how, just- Agh!" And once again, breathing heavily, he pointed at the suddenly appeared reyvateil frantically. "S-Stop doing that!"

A deep breath, and then he calmed himself. "Okay...okay." He stepped forward, still looking a bit miffed, but it passed soon enough. "Actually, I didn't screw up anything this time! I wanted to get your opinion on something." Whoa. Get her opinion? Either he was desperate, or he really trusted her.

     Who knows.

Sitting down on the couch, Lyner sighed and shook his head. "Well...ah...I need to pick out a ring for Misha, but I have no idea where to start." ...Huh? He didn't explain any more than that either.

"Do you know anything about this kind of thing?" He then asked, glancing aside at Mir.
Jakuri     Mir very briefly chews on her bottom lip, studying Lyner with the most careful of expressions once that question is asked. Her expression seems to ease a moment later however, and she glances away for a moment. She does, however, pat the area of the couch directly beside her. "It doesn't need to be anything flashy or expensive. All it needs to be is... Special. Something from you to her, with all the meaning you want that to have. Something that's her favourite colour, perhaps with a unique design."
Lyner Barsett      "...R-Really? Just like that?" Lyner asked, blinking a few times at her answer. "I mean...great! I...ah, I'm jut-" He chuckled, lightly scratching his cheek with a finger as he hesitated. "I'm not good at this sort of thing, you know?" Well that much was obvious.

"Ask me to fight a rogue robot? I'm there. Ask me to pick out the perfect ring? I have no idea, haha..." Well that's why he was here. "Something special though...." He lowered his arm to his lap and looked down. "....What could that be?"
Jakuri     A roll of the eyes at that and Mir just shakes her head slightly. "That's the conundrum, isn't it? I can't really choose for you, because it's not a gift from me to Misha, is it? You need to actually go and look. Check out a jewelry store, or... I don't know. Maybe someone in the Union is a jeweler and will make something for you? It's something to think on, but here's a start. Her favourite colour."
Lyner Barsett      "Ah, you're right, of course."

Lyner sighed and nodded. "I need to think on this for myself. But I think you've got the right idea." He smiled after that, recovering from his mental turmoil rather quickly. "I'll have to do some shopping around, and see if I can find anyone capable of doing the job." Right, he can't half ass this. That wouldn't be right.

"Her favorite color though...that's a start. I'll work with it." And then he rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "It's not like it's a big secret, since she already knows, but I want to try and keep this from blowing up. It's...kinda embarrassing, haha..." After a brief chuckle, Lyner looked towards Mir again.

"Thanks for your advice, Mir. It's helped! I'll figure this out soon enough, just you wait!"
