Starbound Flotilla     Amalgam, or as it was previously known, Epsilon Maiia Minoris IV a. This planet, full of dense forests and sparsely covered with small bodies of water, is what the moon claimed by AMATERASU Lunar Mining Facility 01 orbits (which would, of course, be Epsilon Maiia Minoris IV b). As such, it is the logical place to begin one's expansion. The region they've chosen is a small valley, a pleasant little spot that's neighboring the old site of the Glitch exodus that the Flotilla members caused last time.

Noteworthy here is that the trees are multicolored, and bear massive flowers in lieu of proper leaves. Also noteworthy are the sparse bits of Glitch ruins -- little medieval outposts and towers -- that dot the small valley. The valley of the colony itself isn't too steep, and the sides can be easily climbed. The regions around the valley, the area at its base, and the regions below are designated for the construction today. A teleportation beacon, alongside an artificial warpgate, have both been established here; arrival won't be tricky in the least! There's already a small outpost setup; so far, much of the development area of the colony has been flattened effectively, several residential areas of varying aesthetics and types are set up, there's a now-functioning power grid wiring them up, recycling areas in progress, and a basic craftworks area mostly complete. A dozen or so people have already moved here, but it's still in need of more. The aesthetics are completely varied. While most of the area so far is crafted out of Pixel-fabbed plastic-like substances, some of it is medieval stone, some is bamboo, some is heavy aztec-like stone bricking, some is pure industrial steel, all sorts of aesthetics to the small cluster of structures.

Today, the invitation to the Amalgam site will take whoever is here to do some work out past the warpgate area and over towards the machine shop that Kotone has been building, adjacent to a half-built refinery. Next to it is a larger area, meant for expansion; it looks like, from here, the Starbounders intend to set up full manufacturing! So, with that in mind the whole Core Fleet has congregated in the partially built area, though Moonfin and Seft are the ones who will be doing most of the speaking today. They're ready and waiting to give the briefing, or to hear out ideas people may have already had about where to start. The partially built manufacturing area is also, notably, already stacked with a few full crates of other gear...
Toph Beifong     Construction is always an interesting subject, and why not bring along somebody who can shape the very earth itself and bend metal to their will? Sure, Toph hasn't spent too much time with the Flotilla, but they have been amiable enough. Besides, the earthbending master loves showing off and getting to 'see' new worlds. So Toph is quick to arrive at the scheduled time after word spread.

As always new earth is always interesting to behold, more so than the colourful flowers in the trees as it's all lost on unseeing eyes. Instead Toph focuses on what's in the ground, the composition of the earth, the smell and the feel of it as she digs her toes into the ground as she steps through the artificial warp gate. As she inhales the air she closes her eyes, then exhales slowly. Yup, this place has a nice smell. It's a wonderful day to build stuff!

It's easy enough to 'see' where the other stuff has been built, as well as the stuff that's obviously old. But when she notices Moonfin and Seft standing ready, the blind girl marches over with a grin. "One hell of a place you found! The earth's a bit different from what I'm used to, but it seems like good stuff," she informs them. There are probably more people coming along real soon, and the Flotilla members ought to know just what she can do and what she can help them with today.
Corona Arclite Forges and foundries was something Corona was all too personally familiar with so that was the part of the project she had been putting most of her effort into. Right now she was sitting on the tailgate of the steam-powered utility truck she'd brought up for colony work, various tools and materials and pieces for larger equipment scattered about the back of it. Part of a schematica was spread across her lap, mulling over it while waiting for the actual meeting to begin. Probably puzzling over how to make the technology she's familiar with run on something other than steam or geothermal power.
Sarah Parsle Sarah's here. Sure, manual labor isn't her strong point, but there's always opportunity to put in an honest day's work and get rewarded for it.

"Not a bad start." Sarah assesses the main base, looking over a copy of the plans. "This is going to work pretty well when everyone gets their crap done." Irreverant as ever, Sarah Parsle meanders towards the Flotilla designates, waving. "Hey there." She says, and nods. "Anything can I do to help out, here?" She asks. " I mean, I guess I can transport stuff, but besides that."
Rory White     As before, Rory White beams down in time to hear the presentation! Her ship's in geosynchronous orbit so this is not hard at all. What appears is... her Flexbot. Seems she's gotten out of the flesh and blood in no time at all. And is quite happy about this! Not that it shows too well.

But she does seem to be enjoying fidgeting a little in her Flexbot. After all she's quite proud of how it turned out!

A few people have even complimented it back home.

    PRIDE!

"We need a goal to achieve! Only then can we design and build something to achieve it. What will we be manufacturing here?"
Alexis Maaka     ALexis has been here all night since getting home from the mission in Chica's world. Anything to keep her mind off Linne's little display to Barry. Yugh.

She's currently where Seft and Moonfin are, mulling over plans as she consults a tablet when Toph arrives. She nods to the Earth/metalbender, raising her thermos of coffee. "Hey, I actually could use your help with my place if you got time. We were thinking of a cabin with metallic inserts, mostly steel plate reinforcement if you dig it." She doesn't bother showing Toph the designs on her tablet, knowing the girl's blindness. Not like it'd matter anyways, Toph might be able to figure it out when she sees what Alexis and Kaz have so far.

SPEAKING OF, Kaz is there too. He's kind of a lumpy looking geek, six inches shorter than Alexis is, and sporting a prosthetic leg. He looks more than a bit confused a blind teenager is here. "What, her? She's barely taller than I am." He has no idea.

Alexis just smirks knowingly, "Wait for it. You're gonna see some shit soon." She says, nudging her techie in the side playfully.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa had been expecting help, sure but she'd not been expecting someone like Toph to show up. The Metal Bender was known to Kotone. She was making more progress on the machine shop and was honestly thinking about the colony's defencve systems too but one thing at a time. She also knew that Corona had been working on her own foundy and she did want to help her friend out if she could.

"So your the metal bender, right Toph? I might need some help with a few things before the day is out if your willing."

She gives a wave to Alexi anad Rory as they also arrive.

"So we me, Rory, Corona, Toph and Alexis. With the core fleet I think we can get some serious work done here today."

She grins widly at Seft and Moonfin.
Starbound Flotilla     Moonfin and Seft greet Toph with relatively easygoing posture. Biteblade's over off to the side, messing with something in a crate, but she takes the time to wave over enthusiastically too! And does so for several seconds, maybe /too/ energetically. Seft is the first to speak up...
"Polite. Miss Beifong, welcome. A pleasure to meet you again, under favorable circumstances. You are quite right, every new planet is a very strange one, but our scans indicate its composition should be quite suited to you."
"Tides of hostility rise and fall; such is the way of things. It is good to have your help, and you can expect all proper compensation for your time."
"Informing. I think your skills would be tremendous help in laying foundations and framework, rather than bothering with the fine engineering."
"Guidelines are laid, traces in the soil, a means of directing, but far be it from me to impede the hand of an artist, miss; I invite you to use whatever creativity you wish to add to the structure."
Nozomi Houken     At this point, it's pure momentum that's keeping Nozomi coming back. The colony has become something she has a stake in; she's got a small dwelling here, and she's contributed to the exploration, so she feels... responsible. Tied-in. Like she should keep helping.

The fact that she knows roughly nothing about engineering and colony planning is somewhat of a hindrance, but she's decided that she'll just offer herself as an extra hand, if nothing else. She's got a matter manipulator to work with around here, at least. "Ah, I... I don't know anything about putting together manufacturing stuff, but... if someone directs me, I... I can help..." Her voice gets quieter and quieter, to the point it's almost a mumble by the end. Speaking up is intimidating!
Xiao Li Yu      It's been a while since Xiao had come to Amalgam, as it was now being called. Not since...the initial negotiations and that robotic coup nonsense? Nah wait, there was the mining operation after that. Hmm. Well whatever. Through the warpgate she comes, tablet in hand as usual. Seems she got a copy of the plans digitally and was reading over them at her leisure.

Once she arrived, she glanced up from the screen and on to the actual worksite. "I see, I see...so this is how far things have progressed." The girl brought a hand to her chin thoughtfully as she approached the two Flotilla designates for this present task. "Hello Moonfin, Seft." She smiled and nodded. "I was curious..." A glance aside was spared to the currently standing structures.

"What exactly is the purpose in such disparate architecural stylings? Lack of resources? It's rather garish, I have to say."
Eiko     So, Eiko's here. She doesn't have a ship, but that's what warpgates are for, right? She's back in to follow up on that exploration bit, though it doesn't look like they're getting to part two of that quest today. Oh well. You can only get in on this stuff by staying on the ball, so a miss here and there is bound to happen before a hit.

"Yeah, just point me at what needs doing, I'll figure it out from there." Oh, Escort Quest is still alive, cool. "Heya, Nozomi."
Starbound Flotilla     Moonfin turns to Sarah, and gives a short nod. "Ah, you are the enigma child. I believe I have just the thing for you to work on. The construction of our foundry will require a complex distribution of power, space, and inter-equipment product conveyance, each system affected by the others. George, our engineer of such matters, can be your guide in this effort. You must be the one who helps to maximize the space, minimize the power drained by the arrangement, and the time of each product. In exchange, of course, you may expect your payment." He says, in that eternal smug tone of his. Payment, of course, in this case, may take the form of one of the pieces of equipment the StarFlot folks are manufacturing!

"Encouraging. You only need to get it past a certain profit point and below a certain drain point, and the thresholds are currently generous, given our limited trade and power obligations. Do you think this is the job you can assist with?" That's Seft, offering some encouragement and just making sure everything's okay. They did find pretty much the most puzzly job they could for her on her off-time for solving that door.
Toph Beifong     Seems like there are lots of familiar voices and shapes here today, and Toph turns her head just slightly when Alexis speaks up and asks for help, specifically metalbending. "Want something sturdy, huh? You want it plated with stone, or you going to use other materials for that?" Because she wouldn't be much help with other stuff, admittedly. Though she does raise an amused eyebrow when the person next to Alexis speaks up. "I'm travel size for convenience, Shorty."

Kotone too seems to have a request, and she nods her head. "Sure, I have time to make stuff for me of you guys. Shouldn't take long to do it either as long as you guys can just explain what you want," she agrees readily.

Perhaps it might be a surprise to Kaz and some other people around, but when Biteblade waves in that enthusiastic manner Toph can't help but smirk just slightly, raising her hand as she waves back. Yeah, she 'sees' you too. She focuses on replying to Seft too, recalling that she hasn't really spoken with some members since she first ran into them and they... didn't exactly get along at the time. "Yeah, as long as we're not actively fighting each other I don't really mind you guys." They have been helping some of the same people too, like Juno.

"And yeah, you don't want me doing fine engineering. Lots of other people who can do that." Though the blind girl looks curious as she is informed about the guidelines. Ah, so that's what those things are! And when she's referred to as an artist? The tiny girl practically grins with pride, then she steps forward, rubbing her palms together as if eager to get to work. "Just lemmie know if I should redo it, add more floors and stuff, this won't take long!"

The metalbending will have to wait for a little bit, for now Toph steps forward towards the marked out areas. The other babble is ignored for now as she adapts a wide legged stance, spreading her arms to her sides. Then she kicks one foot into the ground, and the ground around one of the marked areas shakes slightly, the rumble felt in the immediate area as the earth stabilizes, making it more solid and stable for architecture. What follows next are some quick and firm hand movements, and several pillars rise from the ground, clearly becoming corners as they connect, several smaller rock pillars shooting out of the larger ones to connect it all together over what looks to be the framework for a two story building.
Starbound Flotilla     "Of course, Miss White." Moonfin is focusing on Rory now, and as usual it comes with some measure of smug politeness. "A path cannot be a path without a destination to lie at the end. Our goals today are simple. We need to establish our initial foundry production line and determine what products we will begin to have available for our own work. Tools may increase our industrial output or offer new sustenance, arms and armor present both trade and exploration potential, power increases the potency of other regions of the colony, and similar effects. Our goals are varied, but each will be addressed in its due time. We will also take the chance to offer gifts and payment to our members, of course."
Starbound Flotilla "Suprised. Oh! Miss Houken. It is wonderful to see you. You need not feel helpless about this matter for long, I assure you. Please, just a moment. George, can you bring me the gift?"
"The magic stick?"
"STERN. IT IS NOT MAGIC."
"Haha, well, hey, I dunno what gift you're wanting to give the kiddo that ain't a magic stick. Haha, whatever, here ya go."

When Nozomi gets over here, Seft immediately invites George over, and in his hands is a very odd staff-looking thing. It's metalic, shining staff with thin, gently glowing purple circuits up and down its length, with thick plates at regular areas. At the end, encased in a transparent glass-like sphere, is a solid reddish-orange sphere.

George flips it around, flourishing it a little, before handing it off to Nozomi, handle-end first. "Heya kiddo, have your Christmas bonus. Try not to take your eye out with it or nothin'! I'm kidding, Seft spent a cringe-inducingly long amount of time putting too many safeties to take your eye out if you /tried/."
Sarah Parsle "Oh, you want optimization? Okay, I can help you with that. I'll go hit George up and find out what we've got to work with. Thanks for the headsup." Sarah nods, smiling a bit. This is exactly the kind of thing she can work with. God, these guys are /awesome/. They don't stick her with the crap work.

And so she turns and heads over to where George is, since he's inevitably going to be screwing with wires or braining something with a fire extinguisher or something, she doesn't even know sometimes...

And suddenly her train of thought screeches to a halt as she hears a familiar voice. She turns to look in the direction of that voice, directly at Xiao Li Yu. An expression of profound irritation crosses her face as she gazes upon the third most intractable force she has encountered in the Multiverse. "Oh Gods. /Her/." She mutters, and immediately begins giving her a wide berth, trying to just remain nonchalant and totally not try to hide amidst the crates and such to try to keep her from immediately glomming onto Sarah and pestering her.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa has not ment Xiao but does take notice of her as she arrives.

"Welcome to the colony."

She talks on the Flotilla band and soon several drones of various sorts beam in, Kotone hooks up to them wirelessly and strts issuing orders, mostly to start hauling and unpacking machinery for the machine shop it self.

"I could use some help setting up this machinery once the drones unpack it and the contiune with the rest of the shop itself."

Kotone seems to be overing seeing the machine shop for the moment.

"Seft if your still game to help here, it would be welcome!"
Nozomi Houken     Oh hey, there's Eiko, someone who's kept an eye on her in past! Nozomi gives her a nod of greeting, relaxing just a faint bit. And then- wait, Seft and George have a gift for her? Or George specifically? Or... George on behalf of the Flotilla? She's a little confused on the point, but she's being handed some sort of staff. A totally-not-magical staff. She reaches out and takes it from George with a ginger, cautious touch, then looks it over with wide eyes. It's absolutely gorgeous to her, in a weird sci-fi way. "It's... it's very pretty," she decides, her face breaking into something that actually resembles a smile. "What does it do?" Even Taiga is 'sniffing' it curiously. This will help her help the others, somehow?
Starbound Flotilla     While Seft's busy with Nozomi, Moonfin covers Xiao Li Yu's question, soon to be handling more of this. "Amalgam is as its name suggests. We seek a cultural amalgamation, a mixing of spirits that does not become homogenous. The mix of aesthetics reflects the mix of inhabitants; the outcasts, the lost, the wandering souls of many alien and lesser races of all kinds are to find a home here, where their latent skill and industrial talent may be tapped, and where they may find a home, and prosperity. For such a purpose, they should decide their own aesthetics, however tasteless such aesthetics may be."
Alexis Maaka     "Don't mind him. He's kinda new to meeting a lot of folks in person." Alexis says, while Kaz just rolls his eyes. "Oh great, she has a sense of humor to-Oww!" He gets a firm smack on the head from Alexis before the cyborg goes back to talking with Toph. "Good question. We were going to use folliage as cover, so we were thinking some kind of techno cabin. Not exactly my purview but a stone foundation might help to start with, if you don't mind." She says. They picked a clearing amid the forest to start with, something with enough space to work with comfortably. They may need additional help as well, but Alexis will deal with that as it comes.
Rory White     "Well... then Nanofabrication can only be a good thing! I'll help Kotone with the general work! And setup some tools to aid automation and convenience. ... I can't tell what we're going to specialize in... did we figure out how we're going to manage the refining process yet? Who's tech to use?"

Rory's just STANDING there, but anyone watching mesh activity can see she's currently flurrying through dozens of designs and map layouts and checking through drones and AI programs...
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite has to turn her face away for a moment to not show her snickering at Seft's scolding George about using the term 'magic'. Once she's gotten that out of her system she turns her attention back in the direction of other conversations. " 'Ey Moonfin. Do y'all have any idea who, besides AMATERASU, yer gonna get econom'cally involved with? Reckon hat'd pro'ly have an impact on what y'all decide to make to ship out. Gotta know what yer potential customers want before ya can know what you need to make it a thing."

She rolls up the schematic she was working on and tucks it under an arm as she hops down from the steam-truck's tailgate. "Anyhoo, bought time to get back to act'ally work I'd say."
Toph Beifong     It doesn't seem like Toph minds talking while she bends, and she nods her head when Alexis explains what they want. "Sure thing, show me where it is." With the initial framework for the building done she might as well leave it be for now unless the Flotilla members want her to add more to it. Or perhaps they have drawn up more places where they want her to erect some framework too, but she will notice that when she's walking around for sure. For now the blind girl turns to Alexis, following her as she leads the way to where she wants help with the techno cabin.

Of course she can't help but kick her heel into the ground, bending the earth underneath Kaz's prostethic leg, just to make him move as well. "Come on, Shorty! I work better when people complain about me!" she states, sounding amused. Yes, teasing people who complain is real fun.
Starbound Flotilla     And now, it seems, for the main set of requests and information. This seems to cover some of the information too. "As you may know, our primary markets are Ramuh, areas in greater Galianda, and certain areas of our own galaxy. That means much of our interest is in military industrial sectors. Today determines how we fill those needs, and how we expand beyond into other sectors. Before we breach the medical sector of some other world we have little foothold in, we must have supply, for example. That is where you all will come in, today."

He paces in that dramatic way that borders on the pretentious, but only just barely. "Those of you with little crafting skill offer, primarily, your understanding of use, of the specifications to which you rigorously demand your equipment, your materials, and suchlike built. None know the precise demands placed upon armor better than the regularly armored. I will ask to hear what forms of equipment each of you believe we should focus our economic efforts on, and hear the stories of the demands placed upon the products themselves, such that we can reach those specifications precisely."

So, basically, cite your old experiences to determine what products the Flotilla colony should start out with producing, and what specs they should focus on achieving! Easy and simple contributions for those who can't contribute engineering expertise itself.
Alexis Maaka     It doesn't take long before Toph arrives at the clearing. Alexis seems to have already designated a zone for the cabin itself, which she guides Toph towards if the earthbender needs it. Kaz meanwhile jumps with a yelp at the ground moving underneath him. "Ack! Is the ground full of moles or something?" He grumbles, sticking hands in his pockets as he follows along. Poor thing, sassing /the/ Earthbender around.

"So I was also thinking of like, a tunnel underneath the place. Kinda like a basement with some additional paths for a storeroom or two." Beat. "Make that three, my arsenal's pretty big." Right now imagination is the only thing stopping her with stuff to build...that may be a problem.
Xiao Li Yu      A tap of the cheek is had as Xiao listens to Moonfin's explanation. "Hmm, I see. Well, if it's like that, then I can understand the intent, strange as it may be." A shrug followed. "There is, after all, no harm is allowing people to pursue their cultural preferences, no?" Even if it wound up looking like a complete clusterfuck. But that's none of her business.

Movement from the side drew the researher's attention at about that point, and Xiao looked aside. "Hmm...?" Some girl she didn't know was staring at her briefly before putting a ton of space between them. "....???" She tilted her head curiously. What was this? She didn't recognize this one. After several moments, the girl shrugged. Oh well, she couldn't be arsed to remember absolutely every single person she pissed off. Directly or indirectly. She'd deal with her later.

So now's the part where she figures out where to assist. As interesting as observing was; take that earthbender girl for example. But alas, suppose she should do something useful. But for now, she stood back and watched as Moonfin launched into a speech. One explaining their overall purpose here today. "Hmn. Cite experience for deciding on what products to focus on..." ...Well, she knew what she worked with, but she built and maintained her own equipment herself. Not very helpful.

"Well, the facilities that'll be built here should more than likely focus on something general." She brought a hand to her chin, rubbing thoughtfully as she mused aloud. "I would say...mechanical parts rather than whole products. Like...engines, plating, processed raw materials like sheet metal. Things like that, that have multiple applications. That way, you don't wind up locking yourself into too narrow a niche and losing out on potential marketability..."
Eiko     Eiko watches earth pillars rise up as a direct result of martial arts. Illuminated, she opines, "Neat."

Moonfin starts requesting intel, and that's something Eiko can give. "Alright, makes sense. Here's my two bits. Best way to deal with sudden, violent altercations is a two-prong 'don't get hit first' and 'take 'em out quick.'" That about covers her own strategies. "Find yourself inside a pirate ship? Stab the closest guy, shoot the next closest guy, dodge out before the third one gets you, so don't carry too much on the way. That specific enough? How about an older ref--big, flying demons with halberds. Too tough for a couple shotgun shells, and they've got reach on you, but trying to dodge and strike's risky. So you pull out the high explosives. Basically, I can list guys that've tried to kill me all day, and tell you just what I'd want for each of 'em. But they won't often be the same thing, and they'll never be just the one thing."
Toph Beifong     Is that a snicker leaving Toph when Kaz comments on the possibility of moles being around? "No moles, just lots and lots of earthwormy things!"

As they arrive at the clearing Toph stands still, resting her hands on her hips as Alexis explains how she wants the building. "So how many stories do you want to the building above the ground? If you have the metal ready I can begin working it into shape. The tunnel is easy enough... just lemmie know how large you want the storerooms. I can spread them out, make a sturdy staircase leading down..." Toph muses as she reaches a hand up to rub at her chin. She does raise one foot though, kicking into the ground... which opens up in front of them.
Starbound Flotilla "Polite. Ah, Kotone, I will be there in just a moment. George, can you...?"
"Hey, sure."
"Stern. No 'magic' business."
"Cross my heart, steely. Go do your thing."

Seft heads off! "Cheerful. I will be happy to assist you, Kotone. I have never had much appreciation for assembly lines in the first place, speaking with honesty." Seft is heading off with Kotone briefly, leaving George to handle the explanation! Boy, that's not gonna end badly.
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite's tail fwishes back and forth idly as she listens to Moonfin's rather lengthy exposition, completely unphased by his vagely pretenious demeanor. It just seems to be the way he is. That and she's gotten similar attitude from big prissypants types for more than long enough to just not pay it any more heed than necessary.

Then the foxgirl cocks an ear at Xiao's reply. She's got no idea who that is, but the lady is on a good track all the same. "Missy there's got a good idea 'Fin. Focusin' on materials and parts rather than finished products as yer primary outsourcin' also means ya can more easily change between customers or as needs an' circumstances change. Can always branch farther into actual full assemblies later when the colony an' it's output capacity is more established."

Idly she slips a wrench from her toolbelt and twirls it idly in one hand. "Also iffen ya makin' the parts, ya got some say over the parts needed to use 'em. Iffen ya also the one that makes the tools, ya got two sectors of the same market in yer pocket."

She stops spinning the wrench, using it to point towards where the foundry is in the process. "It's also easier t' establish producin' our resources first, and work up to what we're gonna make from 'em and export from there."
Starbound Flotilla     George grins and waaaaves Seft off... Then turns back to Nozomi. "So! This is one'a Seft's magic staves." It does smell ALMOST like magic. If Taiga is able to detect magic, he might detect magic-like psionic elements to it. "Now, see, she was wondering what kind of magic enchantment to put on it, and it was, I think, Biteblade? Yeah, Biteblade tells her," He puts on an accent. It's mildly racist, but that seems incidental at best. "'Floran think tamer friend have potential for partner! Give partner, tamer friend grow!' Or somethin'. So, here's what you do. Jam some, you know, some focus into it. Flex without flexing, does that make sense?" He just sort of shifts his expression to an 'intense' expression.

If Nozomi does that, she'll find the sphere inside the glass beginning to glow, and emit arcs of light. If she pushes it, she'll find it eventually flashes, disappearing and emerging as a small rounded steel drone, with one big camera eye, a small laser mounted below, and a set of varied tools folded into the sides. "It's a summoning staff, kid. That thing can last about as long as your focus, and it ought'a get better while you get better. Seft's theory is that you're basically not ever gonna pull a trigger on a gun or anything, but you're apparently a fucking prodigy at partnering with autonomous fighty shit."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is glad to have Rory's help with setting things up. She's got some ideas about what they could be producing she's a vechile designer at her core with everything else she's done. She thinks for a moment about the idea of what they could produce and she thinks.

"We should focus on things we can use if we're unable to sell them but we could start producing spare parts for common craft. I'm sure there's a market for that, given we can't be the only band out there like this, right? Well I'm a vechile designer with a focus on cars, trucks and motorcycles, so that's what I'm honestly best with. There's been a market for the Knight in the multiverse, I'd want the machine shop to handle anything we'd need for repairs or general maitnance nad hopefully start prodicing...Alexis I never want to deal with mole men again if I can help it."

Kotone gets back on topic now after witing for a moment as she looks to Xiao, liking where she's going with this.

"That sounds like a plan, Xiao."

That's when Seft is coming off to help.

"Thanks Seft!"

Kotone is pretty cherrie as she goes about unpacking and over seeing it.

"We can get a focus once we are established better to have a bit of everything in the end."
Nozomi Houken     Nozomi is still looking over the staff when Seft takes off, so she almost seems surprised when only George is left to explain. And... she's being told to focus? Flex without flexing? That's a confusing way of putting things. "Aah... I-I'm not sure, but..." She holds the staff out, and after a second the staff lights up; this progresses almost immediately to the deployment of the drone, which leaves her wide-eyed. "...ah, i-it's... it's kind of like using some of Taiga's features, when we transform. Not quite the same, but..." Turns out she has some practice in that kind of device use! "What do those tools do...?" Seft is also pretty much dead-on about her and guns, but she's not gonna say that out loud.

Taiga, meanwhile, has taken his usual place at Nozomi's feet, lying on the ground lazily. Stories about their encounters in the Multiverse have been asked for, and George is right there, so why not. "I believe that you and your partners wished for advice on product selection? Unfortunately, I cannot offer any insight on the specific technologies involved in my creation and armament. The military is rather protective of its proprietary technology, for some reason." A snort. Despite lacking lungs. "But as far as more general multiversal advice, it has been my observation that, even in engagements at which keeping one's distance is preferred, most conflict eventually escalates to melee. It isn't a universal problem, of course. But armor hardened against heavy impacts and bladed weapons would be a good basic product, as would blades with some sort of high-frequency or plasma-based cutting enhancement. Nonlethal close-range weapons would also be a sound choice, and most likely see less difficulty with regulations."

    There is a brief pause.

"Also, I feel it worth note that the staff is not magic. But it utilizes psionic energies, which fall within the realm of the supernatural that I have been designed to detect and counter."
Alexis Maaka     "Three stories might work." Alexis says, before she does mental math in her head. "Uhhh, let's focus on the tunnels first before I determine how big I want storerooms to be." She decides, before she grabs something from Kaz. It's a document containing what her plans so far are, mostly just stuff regarding the complex itself. "Any chance you can get a shaft going? I might be able to get an elevator to go up and down from the main floor to the basement." She adds, before pulling a hardhat from her matter manipulator. Foreman Maaka, on duty.
Starbound Flotilla     George, once Sarah manages to find him, is bothering Nozomi and being intentionally stupid, as usual. Well, one and a half of those things are standard business, anyway. He's quick to disengage, though! "Oh, heya newbie! Looks like you're taking a break from that door." He takes an easygoing grin and beckons Sarah on over to the side wall, where some of the initial equipment is. "Powerflows, space is the obvious thing here, and then we gotta get the conveyors all lined up, and each conveyor draws power depending on how it's arranged, see? Basic stuff like that..." He yammers, showing her the rules and the ropes of this.

Good lord does he have a lot of experience with the mechanical side of all this, though. "So that's twice I've been seeing you around. Hope you're gonna stick around long enough to finish that door. You planning on setting up here long-term too? Always got the space for another weirdo to hang out."
Toph Beifong     The blind girl nods her head once. "Okay, time to build our way up then." She steps forward into the hole she just bended open, then stomps the ground once more, creating steps leading down into the hole. "I can make a shaft too if you want that, though it's always good to have some stairs too in case of emergency. Elevators can be broken, you know." Down they go, and Toph assumes a wide legged stance again as she pulls her arms back, all before throwing them forward, causing the ground to shift and become more compact, all while making the initial underground all bigger. Then she begins walking towards the wall, all before the earthbender throws her arms forward again, causing a doorway to open up, and then she begins shaping a large storeroom inside, why... it even has shelves in the walls!
Sarah Parsle Sarah is safe from Xiao.

FOR NOW.

She's sure that's not going to remain the case as soon as she gets bored with whatever she's working on, but in the meantime Sarah has to pull her weight. As... Low as that is, she's a kid. But despite her lackluster physical presence, she's got plenty of brainpower. When she meets up with George, she nods to the master of shenanigans. "The Door isn't that big of a deal. It's going to get cracked eventually, it's just a matter of figuring out the thread of logic that breaks the input. It's security through annoyance. You probably ran into a whole lot of that crap, I bet."

She walks over to the wall, where she looks over the equipment. She examines it intently, while George explains how everything works and the rules of the road. When George asks her if she's going to stay, Sarah shrugs. "I might. Having another place off-world would be handy for when Noa inevitably makes my place look like some anarchopunk hate crime." She grunts, and turns to begin scribbling some things down on paper. She's called herself the brains of her team, and that might not be inaccurate. She's already plotting out the relative power tolerances, efficiency effects, and speed-to-power ratios from a couple different setups. As she works on this, she talks to George: "So yeah, you'll see me around. I have to stay out of the house and on the horse if I'm going to have any chance when things get moving. Probably won't matter, but oh well."
Starbound Flotilla     "I'm to understand that Nanofabrication has many, many benefits that would be best for us to use to their full potential, Miss White. If you will provide your own experience -- you are, after all, quite a capable manager of small, isolated points of human habitation -- or perhaps the expertise of your allies, I would be quite pleased at the opportunity to integrate such systems into our production line. Can you offer further insight into the roles they are best suited to playing?"

That big chunk of text was all Moonfin, of course, having re-engaged Rory quite happily. He does always like new tech, and the exchange of information! He's already queuing up the tools necessary to start clearing space for nanofabrication equipment being integrated on their production line...
Starbound Flotilla     "Mmmh. Trade-focused. We'll need a trading post soon." Albert, of all people, has spoken up somewhere behind Xiao Li in response to what she said. "Not practical for self-sufficiency. Gambles early development for late wealth." He looks a bit contemplative. "...Hmh. As good a gamble as any other. We'll focus that input through Power production to minimize risk. Power system components are still useful independently."
Starbound Flotilla     "Hmmmm..." Moonfin considers Eiko's words. "High-mobility weaponry. I believe I have just the thing. We can integrate our teleportation developments into weapon systems." And then he puts a hand to his chin, thoughtfully closing two eyes and leaving the third open. "That reminds me of a suitable gift for yourself as well." He heads off for a moment, going to the crates... And then returns with a sheathed, modest-looking modern katana. It's simple. Not anything unusual at all, to look at. "A blink-blade. A modern reimagining of an ancient Hylotl legend. Semi-explosive short-range teleportation. It will not move you more than a dozen meters at most, but the teleportation leaves any opposition stunned in its wake, as if subjected to thunderous lightning." He says, clearly smug as hell and expecting this sword to be the hypest. "Something for your use when your more... Restrained blade will refuse to act."
Alexis Maaka     If Kaz was skeptical before, he ain't now. The techie's jaw /drops/ as he sees Toph pull structures out from the earth itself. His eyes go wide, baffled by this display of power used so casually by the Earthbender. Alexis meanwhile just kind of stands there, wordlessly handing her partner a helmet of her own before she goes to compare the plans to what Toph is making.

"Might wanna move." "Uhhh, yeah yeah!" Alexis gently nudges Kaz before Toph's tunnel digging knocks him over. The cyborg meanwhile goes to inspect Toph's handiwork, raising an eyebrow. "Damn...that was faster than I expected. Scratch the foundation." She says, climbing back out as she gives Toph a thumbs up and a grin.
Xiao Li Yu      Yes Sarah. You are safe.

     For now.

Kotone's comment earns her a nod and a smile. "Well, I do try. Though I don't claim to be an economic mastermind in the least." Yeah, she was more interested in making stuff. Learning stuff. The rest other people couldd handle.

Albert's sudden interjection almost causes the girl to jump. She lets out a slight 'Eep!', and then half turns to regard him. "Oh, hello Albert. Long time." She waved quickly and then went back onto the subject. "Yes, it may be the case that trade materials aren't ideal for self sufficiency. After all, they /are/ trade materials. You need a client to trade with. Multiple in order to ensure greater gains."

A shrug followed. "No partners, no gains, the materials sit uselessly." But she smirked a bit after that. "But if you make something people want, then that becomes a non-issue, doesn't it?" She slipped her hands into the pockets of her lab coat casually after that. "All that follows then, is to find out what people want, across a large case study, and then provide it."

     Theoretically anyway.
Starbound Flotilla     "Hmh. More votes for the parts focus. Some potential in that, if it guarantees economic connection. Arclite. Will be able to pull risk down to acceptable for us to refocus our production if you're able to get us linked with traders in your Brimsteel sector. You craft. Any connection?" Albert says, taking some of Xiao Li's words into consideration here and being... Well, kind of blunt and terse with Corona. Albert is blunt and terse with everyone though... This must be why they have Moonfin do all the negotiations about trade.
Toph Beifong     "Move out of here unless you can stand dirt, Shorty!" Toph warns Kaz, then cracks her knuckles before she begins bending another doorway and yet another storeroom about the size of the first. That too doesn't take long either, and the third storeroom is done within some minutes.

The blind earthbender steps up the staircase she made, then brushes herself off. "The ceiling is especially reinforced, I bended it into stone so it won't collapse. It shouldn't be easy for people to get to the stuff down there either, unless they bring an earthbender of their own. Still, they can't see the way that I do, so they might not notice it." So your stuff ought to be safe, Alexis. "Now... where's the metal you want me to bend? I gotta help Kotone too."
Starbound Flotilla     Seft starts pondering. "Thoughtful. These are all quite good points to start with. I believe the Auto Drives from the Galactian Project should be an effective general fit for cross-world distribution, but I believe that is something we should leave to you, Kotone." She is already at work with setting things up, using her robotic precision to full extent. "Cheerful. You are our non-naval vehicular expert, and I trust you enough that you should be in charge of evrything like that." There's those eyes again, flickering to a quick, cheery "^_^".
Eiko     "Oh man!" Eiko is practically jumping in excitement. "Hell yeah, you're the best! That's freakin' *perfect*. I gotta see this kind of thing in action. We have a target range set up here? 'Cause if you're building weapons and don't have a target range, that's a problem, right there." She's taking the blink-blade off Moonfin's hands the moment he'll let go of it.
Alexis Maaka     Alexis goes over to tap a massive tarp covering the selections of steel plates she has in mind. "Right here, make sure there's even placement, I want it so that the logs can cover these for the sake of disguising defenses." She says, backing away to give Toph room to work. "Punching holes for windows might be nice, but I can cut those out later."
Rory White     Having Moonfin suddenly jumping onto the subject of Fabrication clearly has Rory excited. She claps both hands together and sprouts a big, simple smile!

"I'd be delighted to answer that question, Moonfin. Nanofabrication excels the most for SMALL and EXCEEDINGLY COMPLEX components like circuitry. That's where I think it will make the most impact. Large, complete items like an Ecto - err, a PDA -" She taps her chest, and... a tiny lens emerges from one side, flickers to life and shows a holoprojection of what seems to be a tablet PC or smartphone.

"These might take over an hour, largely due to the solid cases. The cases are just solid material. They COULD be machined much more quickly with a traditional factory assembly, right, if the internal components were available? Similarly, each component to be made must be DESIGNED... and designing a complete item from the ground up to be nanofabricated is much harder than designing individual pieces to assemble. One area it could also excel is if it had to create large, precisely shaped and very carefully engineered solid pieces, like engine blocks. Something dense and large like that might take half a day... BUT reconfiguring a production line for every single variation wouldn't make sense, right?"

She's beaming for having thought up these details. Apparently she -has- been doing her research on various kinds of manufacturing technologies besides Nanofabrication.

"The last advantage is recycling. They're not the most optimal solution for large scale REFINING, but feed garbage, leftovers, and scraps into a disassembler bin and you have perfect recycling. THAT technology can be applied to clean any kind of exhaust or waste too!"
Corona Arclite On the other hand doesn't even flinch when Albert joins in the conversation. But with her ears she probably heard him moving around beforehand. "Albert's right. That on it own ain't gonna be self-sufficient. But it's a good start an' a base to work up from iffen y'all ask me." Which they kind of did. Well Moonfin asked everyone, but we're not going to quibble over details.

She looks at Albert for a moment at his comment about connections, and then laughs. But it's her usual rowdy good-natured laughter. "Yer forgettin' my other job is workin' fer one of the biggest frontier posts on Brimsteel! Miss C's family is one of the largest trade family networks, reckon she can connect y'all with all sorts of materials business. Brimsteel's def'nately one place better fer sellin' parts, since most stuff would have to be modded fer environment anyways."

She pauses a moment, rubbing her chin with one hand with a thought. "Can pro'ly help get ya business for supplies we can't just grow or quick fab here in return, too."
Toph Beifong     Sweet, steel plates! Toph grins at that, then gestures for Alexis and Kaz to step out of the way. "Move, you don't want to accidentally get some steep slapping you in the face."

Again she assumes an earthbending stance, and then she extends her arms, all before she moves her right one, causing the top steep plate to slide off the pile, carefully tipping over. Then Toph moves her other hand, and in response the steel plate makes a shrieking sound as the metal bends slowly into a 90 degree angle, and then Toph makes it all move, shifting into place before she lets it fall down into the ground, digging down a bit into the soil. Then she begins on the next steel plate, bending it through the air and over towards one edge of the first corner she placed.

It's going to take her a little while to bend the whole house, but it certainly gives her something to do, making sure the plates get connected, and then to make sure she bends the ground around the plates so they won't tumble over. But then again, bending the earth into rock will help. Then Alexis can fix the rest with woodwork and cement.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is still giving commands to the drones as she talks to Seft. "Auto Drives, it is. I'll get the specs later to look them over and thanks. I do take some pride I got the school to want my talents there." She seems pleased as she's going to also help Seft but while she's gained very good control, Seft's just got more experiance with it as she works. "You honor me with that Seft, thank you!" Kotone also looks over to Rory for a moment.

"Rory you were made to over see a colony right, Rory? This might be your chance to do it right?"

She's also paid attention to what else Rory's been saying and seems to get her line of thought is going.
Starbound Flotilla     "Usual stuff, kiddo! Welding, grabbing, clipping wires, fixing wires, driving screws, undriving screws, crowbarring, crow-/un/barring, you get the idea. You can co-op on the control if you wanna help out someone who knows what they're doing better. This thing, though," George says, and then clonks the little drone on the "noggin" a few times with his knuckles. "Is all your psionic power manifesting, nothin' else. Might be a bit hard to think after it gets busted, if you let it get busted up, or if you're running it nonstop for a few hours, 'kay? Take breaks. You'll build up the brain stamina."

"Ah, you have more wisdom than I would expect of an animal." Moonfin says, seeming surprised. "Few tend to acknowledge the danger and elegance of such well-made blades. I believe our production line profile is beginning to come together. Production focused on power systems and and vehicle parts for trade, alongside melee and survivalist-focused armor and mobility-focused melee weaponry. We will depend on intake from external trade for some time, but with properly established routes, this should be quite a viable arrangement." Moonfin, again, starts speaking up, once he gets an earful of Taiga...
Starbound Flotilla     Taiga's commentary on the staff didn't go unnoticed. George just gives the robocat a grin and then shrugs. "I don't know anything about anything when it comes to that. All I know is, it's a weird magic stick and it summons things. I've seen 'em shoot fireballs. If it looks like a duck, you know? I call it like I see it." It's clear that he actually does know a little -- just a little bit -- about psionics, but at the moment, he's jumped back into his happy-go-lucky know-nothing personality.
Alexis Maaka     Clapping is heard as Alexis just watches this happen. "Shit, I shoulda just stuck with steel. Definitely a sturdy underlayer that's for sure!" She says, grinning wide as she hoods and pumps a fist. "That was /awesome./" Kaz seems to be at a loss for words, just stunned by how Toph is able to command elements like this. "...h-how. HOW." He just keeps repeating that over and over while Alexis appraises Toph's handiwork some more. "I think this shaves a /shitload/ of time for both me and Kaz now. Makes this a lot easier now that we got a place to work with."
Nozomi Houken     "That would be because I'm not an animal," the robotic tiger replies. "I'm a sapient, autonomous anti-supernatural weapon with the ability to reconfigure into weaponry and armor for use by a designated user. My feline appearance is simply due to project requirements."

And then he stretches, exactly like a cat.

"One other recommendation I would offer is to see if you can find a feasible way to produce magically-hardened armor. There are a great deal of supernatural hazards in the universe. Runic engraving is generally the most cost-effective method, but may still require a power source depending on the runic magic used and the strength of the defensive enchantments. Even basic hardening will raise the cost of armors noticeably, so perhaps as a premium line manufactured in smaller numbers until business picks up." The TIGER is one sharp cat.

And speaking of which, he looks up at George and considers his response for a moment, before saying, "It's the difference between sidestepping the lightspeed barrier by tunneling through a wormhole, and sidestepping it by warping space around you. Both will get you to your destination quickly, but both function quite differently and have differing requirements."

Nozomi, meanwhile, seems to already be getting the hang of the staff. And for once, when someone (George, in this case) raises concerns, she doesn't seem particularly worried about them. "Ah, this is... it's not actually that hard... Taiga and I, we connect in... i-it's not the same, but it's not all that different. I feel like I could do this for a while." The drone pops up about a foot, then flies a loop around George.
Toph Beifong     Toph knocks on the steel plates with a grin. "Yeah, this stuff is pretty hard to get through, so you should be safe inside here! Heck, if you want I could always reinforce the ground with steel too if you're worried about thieves or something. Maybe make an extra secure storage unit..." she muses, not really too concerned with Alexis' young friend being flabbergasted by her bending. Though she does toss him a line. "Maybe you should watch some WMAT tapes, Shorty. And I can imagine this being quicker than you having to work with the metal yourselves," Toph responds, even as she begins on the second floor once she's gotten the steel plates making the four walls on the first floor. "Want a staircase in the corner, maybe?"
Starbound Flotilla     "Hey kid, just 'cause something happens eventually no matter what doesn't make it still a big thing. But hey, you're the boss when it comes to that nonsense, I just do the wiring." Yeah, real humble electrician here, sure. "Eh, well, commit as much as ya want. In and out whenever, we're cool with that. Get yourself a warm room just in case, maybe wander around the other colonies we set up eventually. That's gonna be fun times, kid, let me tell ya. Looking forward to seeing you around."

He will, of course, stick around to help her and keep working on his own wiring, mostly just getting it done as Sarah directs. She's got some good startups and they'll refine over time, to some rough, approximate optimum. Might take a bit, but hey, Sarah's getting paid!
Alexis Maaka     "Sure." Alexis thinks for a second, grabbing some spikes marked to hand around as she begins to move out the back. "Let's set up a storage unit riiiiiiiiiiiiight..." She thinks for a second as she walks out back, stopping a short walk away from the building proper. "Here." Returning, she begins to help mark where she wants rooms, as well as a little channel for pipe networks. Piping will be necessary, of course, when bathrooms get get up and all that jazz. "Y'know, I could use you around a little more often if you don't mind making some scratch. Probably nothing compared to your allowance, but it's good to make money on your own if you ask me." Alexis offers, letting Toph do her work.
Toph Beifong     Even as she keeps on working with bending the metal plates, Toph does listen to Maaka as she speaks. "Well, as long as it doesn't interfere with my lessons and my Union work, I guess I could help out some more. And I don't really need a lot of money..." She does seem to consider this though, a pensive look on her face before she carefully raises another steel plate to fasten it to the wall. All in all it looks rough, but sturdy. At least all the plates are relatively even and bended together, and it's going to take a lot to tear them apart.

"I could stop by during weekends when I have nothing else going on, if that works for you that is?" At least it ought to work for the young earthbender. At least she has enough to work with here as she works on finishing up the second floor of the building before she begins bending long holes in the ground to get the steel plates down into. One extra sturdy storage unit coming up!
Starbound Flotilla     "Mh. Sensible. We have minimized the risk of a trade-oriented production profile. It will work." Albert says, tapping away at holo-screens in front of him. Didn't even say 'thanks'! Man, this guy is so military.

Lucky for Xiao Li Yu, there's a few people who aren't. "Heard we're gonna work on mobility gear, lass. Well," Pavo says, approaching. Her beak turns up in a grin. "Might well give ye a little sample. Heard ye got yer wings a bit recently! Ye gonna wanna have somethin' a little opposite!" She's got a good arm/wing, so she can toss a heavy module at catching speed to Xiao Li. It's a GROUND SMASH module! When activated, it ought to surround Xiao Li Yu with an energy field that yanks her downwards at EXTREME speed, and emit a strong shockwave upon impact.
Alexis Maaka     "You got a deal." Alexis grins, shaking hands (or sharing a fistbump) with Toph. "I don't have any problem with your duties or lessons taking primacy, think of this as a part-time thing between friends." She says cheerily. So far, this is going off to a rollicking start.

Kaz meanwhile is just doing tech stuff, trying to stay out of the way of these girls. <DOn't tell me you're gonna take her in.> He messages.

<Only when she's got free time. Otherwise, she's Stark's problem. You're not jealous, are you?>

<Only if she sticks around long term. Just keep her tai chi bullshit away from me.>
Starbound Flotilla     "Well, there is usually hostile wildlife of no great risk near the mouth of the valley. We /should/ establish some form of target range, however. I have not built a proper dojo in many years. It will have to be a project I work on during our next session of founding, I believe." Moonfin says, clearly quite encouraged and smug with how Eiko has responded so positively to her own gift. If she heads for the mouth of the valley, she's going to find that the description was pretty much right. The direction relative to the blade that she teleports is easy to calibrate, and the explosive teleportation only goes a short distance, and drains the internal capacitor a bit, but otherwise functions perfectly when the button at the hilt is pressed!
Sarah Parsle That's a simple observation George just made right there. George knows his stuff, and Sarah doesn't seem to care if he's humble about it or not. Sarah, meanwhile, watches him for several moments, finally nodding her head. "That's true." She admits. Even if something inevitable, the occuracne of the event still has meaning. "You know, you're pretty cool." She replies to George as she works, putting togehter a small scale mockup to begin testing power circuit designs. Her methology here is fairly thorough, and she wants to make sure the scalability seems to bear out in live testing. Her work here isn't the result of mad genius but the methodical exhaustion of possibility.

That might be telling for some people.
Corona Arclite Again Corona isn't really bothered by Albert's militaristic bluntness. She's gotten use to the crew's little peculiarities. Instead she briefly pulls out her own device and flicks it open to make herself a note. "Ah'll talk to Miss C 'bout settin' stuff up when Ah'm back home." Snaps it shut and tucks the device back into her toolbelt. "Now that we got that all sorted out, gonna go see what else needs doin' 'round here."
Starbound Flotilla     "Hmmm. It would seem our best points of integrating nanofabrication technology in our production line would be for power system parts and vehicular parts. I believe I understand. Seft, once she has finished her work in the machine shop, will meet you shortly. I expect you two will have very much to discuss on this topic, Miss White, I look forward to the fruit of your world's advancement offering its benefit to us." Moonfin says, seeming quite pleased with that. Looks like the nanofabbing has a very solid place on the line here, severely boosting the parts trade output!
Starbound Flotilla     "Magical armor... We will have to speak with our partners in the FUJIN Institute. We cannot introduce anything like that into our production line quite yet, but soon, I believe, quite soon we will have just such an opportunity." Moonfin says, now, turning back to Taiga, taking over for George. Then he speaks to Nozomi. "I expected as much. You are born as a partner, a tamer. Should you wish, one day, I would be happy to teach you the ways of Hylotl beast taming. You are one of the humans closer to such aptitudes than most."
Nozomi Houken     Huh? Taming beasts? "Eh?" Blink blink. This seems to be something Nozomi has never even come close to considering - the thought that she might learn to tame actual animal companions like the robot that has designated her as its human. "Aah, th-that's... I..." She doesn't seem frightened by the idea so much as slightly overwhelemed by the concept. "...I-I'll have to think about that," she decides. "For now, I think... well, starting with the basics is best," the girl adds, nodding at the staff.
Corona Arclite Before heading back to the foundry area Corona ambles over to see how Kotone and Seft are doing on the machine shop. "How's it goin' over here? Other than makin' Rory's bots earn there share with the work, heh."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa looks up from her work as Corona comes over and grins a little bit.

"How are things on your end? We're getting to the point we should be able to start making things soon."

SHe pauses tpo pull a wrapped package out of a pocket, ripping it open. There's something that looks like it might be a bruito and she starts to eat it. After a moment she looks to Corona noting "I'd offer some but ... trust me you'd not like this."
Corona Arclite "That's good! Sounded like Moonfin and Albert were getting a good frame fer what sort of stuff they want to make. With that in mind Ah can make sure we got the right kinda forge setup for those materials."

She pauses, raising a brow a bit. Then puts one hand on her hip as she smirks some. "Oh really now. And why pray tell wouldn't Ah?"
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "Because it's full of nanites for my body's systems. To me it would taste like a beef brutio, do you? You'd be asking why did I put this in my mouth, oh god why!" KOtone makes a bit of a face at Corona. "I really should look into seeing about getting the tech for a self maintaning body at some point, but the cost on those are pretty insane."
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite eeeeeeeeh. "... Okay, that's a good reason. Ah ain't no scrapegoat made fer eatin' darn plum everything." Which she laughs off quickly enough. "Ah was gonna say, we got plenty o' types of burritos, but ya, that does make it a bit peculiar."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa Says "Ya it's not fun but I need it. I been thinking about talking to rory about one upgrade for this shell. One of those nanoprocesisng so it can break down normal food I eat and not waste it, you know? I been feeling bad about it but I just can't think about living without eating. It's like breathing honestly."
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite gives Kotone a pat on the shoulder. "Don't Glitch 'eat' despite being robots? Mebbe ya should ask Seth for advice."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "I'm thinking about that too Corona. I'm still floored by the gift Rory made and all the trouble she went through on it, you know? Speaking of Sweft, I want to work on that glitch diguse to make it more practicla use, it might come in handy again."
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite smirks. "Iffen there's anyone here that can pull it off, it's you. Ah reckon ya never know what skills might come in handy some time."
Rory White     "If that's the case," Rory speaks from a little distance away - what with her own work laying out some rough designs and 'wireframe' mockups using AR drafting - "why not resleeve into the Menton?" The bluenette asks calmly! ... Though, from a tiny lilt in her tone, there's no doubting she's lightly poking Kotone in a gaping logic hole.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa pauses for a moment, goes ramrod straight and turns about to look over at Rory. "Oh hey there, wait what why a menton?" She seems honestly confused for a moment at her fellow Bluenette's comment. She seems a bit confused at this as she's not aware of her logic hole it seems. She also gives Corona a I'm doomed look.
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite holds up her gloved hands. "Don't give me that look, Ah ain't got no idea what she's talkin' 'bout either. Iffen it wasn't fer y'all Ah wouldn't even know what a Menton -is-."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa pauses for a moment as sht tilts her head for a moment at Rory. "WAit what do you mean, synthmorph? I thought mentons were made of flesh?" She looks very more confused now, Rory's totally got Kotone on the ropes today and Corona has thrown her to the wolves so to speak!
Rory White     "Because it's the only Biomorph available aboard the Odyssey, of course." Rory answers in good spirit.

She just has to wait for Kotone to catch on. Corona's given a few moments of her pleasant, anticipatory gaze too!
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa pauses for a moment as sht tilts her head for a moment at Rory. "Okay I'm not sure about where your going with this, I was just talking about shell upgrades and you'd given me some ideas." She then pauses for a moment "Ah so you put that one back into storage."
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite shakes her head. "Ah still barely have a clue what y'two are even talkin' about here."
Rory White     "Ah... you haven't figured out something important yet, Kotone. Well, bother me when you do!" Rory chimes... playing, now?! She's rarely this confident in things!

"It's fine. Only few people would figure it out anyways. How have things been with you? No more... incidents underground?" She then answers Corona.
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite shrugs vagely. "The mole men are still down there and all, but ain't seen hide nor hair of 'em since. Long as they stay down there and leave the miners alone, not fuzz off my tail." With that she gives a wave and turns to stroll off. "Ah oughta go finish gettin' that forge together so thing's ready by the time you guys and the manufacturin' plant get up and runnin'."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa there a moment of pause on Kotones face as she looks at Rory for a moment. "Wait are you saying I should use that body... I?" Behold miss Post human who still thinks like a flat for more leas. "So wait your saying I could borrow that morph?"
Rory White     As for answering THAt question, Rory treats Kotone with a huge, bright, rather childish smile!

But she then deeply nods Corona's way. "Hopefully nothing else happens. There can't possibly be... a brother of that creature around..."
