Scene #3648: Don't Touch The Displays

Jasper	Aboard the Gem Warship, Jasper looms in the command chair. The truce hasn't been kind to her. It's not something she understands, this notion that war can just be temporarily stopped because both sides agree to it. It's ridiculous to her. In war, you shatter or you get shattered and there's no such thing as stopping the fight. You fight until you can't. Still, the truce allowed them to track down some promising leads. One of those leads is within a museum in Gotham. Signatures that correspond to Gems or their technology. While such a thing - salvage - is normally beneath Jasper, even Gems need to get out and 'stretch their legs', so to speak. The Gem Warship arrives above Gotham, like a great green hand of God. "Assemble me a division of robonoids, Peridot. Have them retrieve the Gems while I see to anyone stupid enough to try and stop us."
Peridot	Peridot was poised and ready in the weapons bay. Though she was uneasy with letting Jasper have a taste of the command chair - this was her mission to this planet, after all- She had momentarily relented point on this particular mission. Jasper had been the one who noticed the blip, followed up the lead and located the gem tech. Peridot herself had been too busy monitoring Kindergarten. It was perhaps risky in of itself to not contest it. But, Peridot was also distracted with less relevant thoughts. She had been indulging in stress-relieving acitvities that had been working to soothe her over-taxed mind. Part of her appreciated the break. "Very well. Just remember to stay on task. No assaulting humans who are Steven's height. We will risk our confederate alliance unless we can positively identify them as elites." She talks to her holopad.
Terry McGinnis	Terry was standing on the roof of Wayne-Powers looking over the city of Gotham as he had a hand to his face and was shaking his head at the Union chatter channel, "Can things get any worst?" heasked himself as he looked over the quiet city for a change. "At least it is quiet," he mentions and blinks as he sees something floating in the sky, shrugging, he thought nothing of it until it got closer and bigger, much bigger. "Wait," he says to himself as he looks and sees the hand, "I know that ship...." he states as he sees it fly overhead, . o 0 (What are those Gems doing here?) he thinks as he runs and jumps into the Batmobile and begins to follow the ship. "Great, just great," he comments as the floating green hand hovers over the measum. "..." Terry angles the Batmobile over the top of the hand and drops out of the bottom access hatch and lands on the top of the hand ship, "Hello," he says as he looks he looks for an access hatch and tries ot find one to let him get inside the ship. "This is not a welcome to the neighborhood visit," he comments.
Jasper	Jasper grunts in reply to Peridot. Yes, yes, she gets it. The alliance is apparently important. She won't pick a fight with 'civilians', whatever those are. There's no glory in that, anyway. Gem technology is practically seamless. Behind Terry, a circular section of the ship glows and emits a glowing sphere. It hangs there for a brief moment, as if resting on the green-crystal surface of the vessel, before falling open. That leaves Jasper, in her nine feet of broad orange muscle and her mane of white hair, standing there. Her shadow falls over him. "You're right. It isn't. I've come for what you stole from us. I'll give you one chance to withdraw. I really hope you don't take it."
Peridot	Peridot raises onto the surface with Jasper, as she is accompanied by a torrent of robonoids. Small machines that Bats would recognize from the raid on Hikari Harbor. "...Ah! It's- the strange mammal-man." She points, ensuring to put Jasper between herself and the Batman. "Observed combat capabilities... flight, noteable strength. Engaged with lapis over the water." She begins to type away into her holopad inputting instructions. The robonoids begin to scatter in all directions and start jumping off the ship.
Terry McGinnis	Batman looks at the tall Jasper and then to Peridot and thinks as he looks and mutters to himself as he looks at Jasper, "Sorry, but Gems should be allowed to be viewed by all, and these ones are a lot older then you are," he states as eh looks at her, "So, sorry, I am not gonna leave," he adds as he stands there. "And if I remember right, your the hothead of the gems?" he comments as he watches the two of them.
Jasper	Well, that's that, then. Jasper's face splits in a grin, revealing teeth that seem more like fangs, and the Gem simply tenses her neck and shoulders and brings her forehead down, crashing it against Terry's head! "Oh, you'll be leaving - but it won't be under your own power!"
Peridot	Perigot growls. "Typical earth-thing! You don't know anything about us!" Her fist curl into tight balls and she points at Batman as Jasper leaps towards him, a gust of wind whipping strands of her hair. "You don't even know what it is you're protecting! Baseless assumptions, blind guesses with no information! Graah!" Peridot seemed sufficiently angry. She turns her attention to her holopad to remote control her robonoids on the ground. "This is why we have to do everything the hard way!"
Terry McGinnis	Batman is headbutted and this knocks him back and to one knee as he rubs his head and sees stars, "Ow....." he says simply as he stands up and moves back, "Come on Bertha, bet you cannot do that again," he states to her as he moves back to the edge of the hand and waits for her. "Besides, I hear you are as dense as granite," he mentions as Terry does what he does best, talk to get people to mess up and he probably got a light concussion from that hit. "McGinnis, are you crazy?" comes a female voice over the Batsuits internal comlink. "I know what I am doing Max, and have some Ice, advil and anything else to handle a headache," he mentions to her. "Your gonna get more than that if she lands another hit on you. The Batsuit took a majority of that hit, but that was equal to a ton of force. any more and your gonna be hurting... really bad," she says as Terry narrows his eyes and nods. "Figure a way to stun her," he asks Max who is int he Batcave as he waits to see what Jasper does.
Jasper	Jasper immediately charges, obviously goaded into it by Terry. As she takes her first few strides, there's a glowing corona around her head and there's suddenly an absolute battering ram of a helmet there, with a wicked prow that illustrates it is as much of a weapon as it is a piece of protective headgear. The moment she gets close enough to Batman, Jasper starts throwing punches. Jabs, hooks, a few downward hammer blows. She's surprisingly nimble, obviously able to keep up with smaller gems, but Terry might be able to slip past most of her blows. And that might be the clever way to approach it, because Jasper is putting her entire body into those attacks. She fights like a wrestler or a MMA fighter, powerful blows, trying to grab and wrestle and hammer Batman into submission. At the edge of the Gem warship, however, she'll have to watch her balance!
Terry McGinnis	Terry McGinnis looks at the attacks as he watches them and begins to move and dodge with ease as he jumps, ducks, sidesteps and all the cool Batman style of attacks he is known for. As Jasper gets closer, he looks and moves, grabbing one of her hands as she moves forward, and using her forward momentum, pulls her towards him. As he falls to his back, his foot goes into her gut as he flips her over him and over the side of the flying hand. As she goes, he lets go and looks as he rolls over, "Watch that first step," he comments as he watches her and hope she goes over the side. During the swigns that Jasper did, Terry did get grazed and hit a few times, but took it pretty well, as he was moving, but they still hurt and he is now gonna be bruised in those places. besides the head, they include the arms, hands, side(s) and legs. The Batsuit can protect Terry but the sheer force of Jaspers hits are able to overpower the protection that the Batsuit offers. However, there will one hell of a hole in the ground when she lands, wherever that is as he looks at Peridot and throws a batarang at the datapad, "Sorry, no recording," he comments as he jumps off and after Jasper, the wings coming out as the Batman glides on the air towards the ground.
Jasper	Jasper is a whirlwind of angry blows. She keeps up the pace with Batman, not seeming to block attacks. No, she doesn't block - every intercept is a counter-attack. She's all offense, all the time. It doesn't matter what position Batman tries to put her in, she just /attacks/ from it. A knee here, an elbow there, a headbutt for flavor. When she's struck, she certainly /reacts/ with grunts and growls of pain but she doesn't seem to bruise or blemish under Batman's strikes. And, when she's flipped, she goes right over the side. There's the sound of a heavy impact, metal crumpling - and then the loud squeal of a car alarm. As Batman glides down, he can see Jasper, looking more dishevelled, picking herself out of the wreckage - and silencing the car with a heavy thump of her fist. Her golden eyes seem to light up and Jasper leaps at Batman as he glides towards her. Jasper seems to ignite with golden fire, blasting towards Batman like a shell from a cannon. She goes to grab him in mid-air, and hurl him down towards the ground as well! Luckily, it probably won't be a long fall.
Terry McGinnis	Terry McGinnis looksand blinks, "Oh shi..." and he is grabbed and thrown does into the ground, hard, causing a very small impact crater. Terry lays there for a moment as he looks up, "McGinnis.... MCGINNIS....." she yells as he mutters, "I don't wanna go to school....." is his remark as he lays there and Max does the next best thing, she pushes a button and the Batsuit cloaks as she activates it and breaths a small sigh of relief, but knows Terryisgonna be in a lot of pain. Terry slowly comes too as he hurts, "owwww," he says simply as he lays there and looks, and notices a message on the visual feed that says cloak active.. and so he stays there, not moving, as moving will hurt.
Jasper	As Batman vanishes, cloaked from her sight, Jasper paces like a caged animal. Every part of her body language, from her curled fists and hunched shoulders to her furrowed brows and bared teeth, says /rage/. "Where are you? Do you think you can hide from me!?" She picks up that car she has just fallen upon, lifting it like a children's toy, and hurls it to where she thinks Batman is hiding. It's a clear miss, but it does take a nice chunk out of a storefront. "Show yourself!" Jasper barks, "We're not done yet."
Terry McGinnis	Terry slowly moves, "Careful McGinnis," comes Max's voice. "Your not gonna survive this," she adds as he looks at the car, "Your telling me," he replys and stays where he is at, "Oh my head and ....." and he closes his eyes, "Great, got a concussion," he mutters as Max speaks, "Yea, and its not a good one either. Your out of your league, as Bane can do damage, but not on this level," she adds as he nods, as he thinks and looks as he smiles and thinks as he activates two batarangs and throws them at Jasper. These two batarangs are special ones, designed to annoy people, an it might work on Jasper. If they hit, they will begin to flash as one releases an electrical current and the other beings to vibrate due to a sonic wave that is probably being felt by Jasper. And if she is a Gem, then she has a similar body makeup and lattice layout... Looking, he sees the robowhatever of Peridot's leaving and he sighs, "Damn," and he drops the cloak as the Batmobile drops down above him, "We'll finish this later," and he throws another batarang at her that will flash as well, only explode as he jumps and sighs, "Not gonna do that," he comments as the Batmobile climbs up and flies off. Batman is not dumb, he knowns when to get out of a fight and this is the best time.....
Jasper	Jasper turns, as if she can /hear/ the batarangs being thrown. "There you ar-ggggh!" The batarangs hit Jasper dead centre - after all, she's a pretty big target - and the combination of a powerful electrical current and a sonic wave is definitely an effective attack. Jasper staggers, grunting in pain, and falls to one knee, her white mane of hair falling over her face. "Y-you! Fight me! No tricks!" Her fingers curl against the asphalt, and take great chunks out of it. The fight itself might be a draw, but it seems like Peridot got whatever it was they were after, as the robonoids file out of the museum like lines of giant robotic ants.
Terry McGinnis	Terry McGinnis sits in the cockpit of the Batmobile as it heads for the warpgate outside the city as it is on autopilot, "McGinnis, you know your gonna hear it from those who care about you," Max says as he nods, "Not so loud Max," he states to her as he knows Jasper is gonna want a rematch, but he just got into a fight that was more then he could handle.....
