Nagato	<================================> - <X3 - <=================================> - A FORCE OF DARKNESS HAS ARRIVED - - BATTLEFLEET ALPHA - - Hikari Battle Squadron - - PREPARE FOR BATTLE - <================================> - <X3 - <=================================> THEME: BATTLE OF THE FOUR FIENDS (Orchestra Ver.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aES3Wevrbuo The four black shrine maiden dressed women are set quite a ways about, faculty set up around the area with black paint on them playing dead for the Hikari Battle Squadron playing up a Heartless Fleet. A small wind wall surrounds the four girls, just high enough to prevent most agressors. In front of that wind wall are three control panels... what they do, anyone's guess. Nagato gives a look towards Chitose, grinning.. whispering to the three, "Let's play this up." she nods, "All Heartless Cannons, all Heartless Planes... FIRE! LAUNCH!" she shouts, Musashi's eyes glowing yellow as the black dressed woman's turrets angle. "HEARTLESS SHIP NUMBER TWO, FIRE!" the rapport of turret fire sends those black globs of paint sailing, crashing into the ground near and on the dorms... Nagato's cheek pulls up into a smirk, oh how she's going to enjoy this...
Shigure	Chitose cackles like a witch, and aims her launch rails skywards. "FLY! FLY MY PRETTIES, AAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!" the sound of piston engines strikes up, but... the Zuiun are all dressed up to look like... clown planes... yes. They buzz about, diving on and dropping paint and confetti bombs on anyone that comes close to the barrier. Yamashiro stands regally, even while she's dolled up in black garb with white facepaint, black lipstick and eye shadow making her look like a caracature of an Abyssal. "Sink... Sink to the bottom of the ocean." she says impassively, while her turrets traverse, elevate, and launch paint shells in a bombardment pattern.
Xiao Li Yu	MEANWHILE INSIDE "I'm so close..." Came Xiao's all too creepy mumbling, her fingers dancing across a laptop keyboard. "Just a little longer, if I compile this and then run it..." Her grin widened. "Hee hee~ Oh, if this works, then I'll be-" THUNK THUNK THUNK THUNK- "Eh?" She looked up from her work and glanced aside out the window. "....Seriously?" She squinted, taking in those black garbed forms, and the barrage of pitch dark 'shells'. "...Oh right. That WAS today, wasn't it?" Heaving a deep sigh, Xiao got up, opened the window, and then casually hopped out. her anklets lit up, and she floated down to the ground safely before walking towards the...heartless? Or 'heartless'. Let's go with that. "Oh no. Dark, evil, horrible beings have come to split us is two! Whatever shall we do?" The researcher voiced aloud in a faux dramatic manner, casually spreading her arms. With several clicks, a dozen black metal blades flew out from her sleeves and began to revolve around her form. "Well then, dark, evil, servants of chaos...or something like that; let's get this over with. I have work to get back to doing."
Lyria Mason	Lyria Mason was not sure what to expect as evertying were going nuts as the attcks come. She had not been expecting it this toon and had to think the headmaster had very well played on the hed masters part but she's already running to the dorms as fast as she can go, and she's not alone. Though there's not as many drones as she normally has tailing after her as she makes her way into the dorms hoping to catch whomever these heartless are. "So the darkness comes for us? Well then have at it!" She makes note of Xiao who may know why Lyria is missing drones at the moment but there seems to be no bad blood over the night before, at least outwardly. "I was working on repairing my drones! You had to hit now, so then I shall punnish the darkness for this!"
Nagato	The sound of ammunition being loaded from Nagato and Musashi is loud and clear, as another rapport of sixteen black 'shells' take flight in sequential order just to keep the pressure on any approaching wannabe rescuers. "Draw them out. Get them to come out of that building." Nagato let's another set of eight aim and splatter black around the windows to obscure vision, to try and force them to come out. "WELL WELL WELL! Do we have COWARDS here? This... will be so boring to take over, it's almost not even WORTH the effort." Nagato's voice sounds oddly cruel and haughty, compared to her normal countenance. Musashi smirks, hands on her hips, "I might have to wear this more often and scare the Destroyers into doing work.." she mutters to the three, firing another eight shells at windows to cover them. "COME ON OUT MY PRETTIES! You can't stay in there forever now!" Musashi belts out this wicked laugh, it sends a chill up Nagato's spine... "GET TO WORK!" KABOOM
Xiao Li Yu	Xiao, of course, notes Lyria's presence, but she hardly has the time to grief the girl over what happened the night before. A shrug was given, and then she stepped out into sight of those rather irritating people, shrieking things about 'her pretties' and such. "Really? Do we have to do this now?" Well, yeah. A grade depended on it, after all. With a sigh, she made a lazy gesture with one sleeve, and her revolving blades split into two groups of six. "Right then. Grrr, go back to where you came from. Rawr and all that." Rolling her eyes, Xiao directed an arm forward, and both sets of blades shot forward, six headed forr Nagato, and another six headed for Musashi.
Lyria Mason	Lyria Mason hears the wound of ammo being loaded and that hs her going for one of the two pistols on her hips, the other hand goes for a cutlass of some sort on her back as she stares down the enemy for now. "Oh really? You say that, but will you be able to put your money where your mout..." Lyria shuts up and dives out of the way as the fire comes. She gives Xiao a bit of a look while she comes back up with her off hand pistol firing off lightning elemental rounds in reort at this point. She dives up her bursts btween both Nagato and Musashi as she attempts to get to melee range, while her drones follow her.
Nagato	Nagato gives Xiao a strange look, its an incredulous look too, someone actually doesn't care? Well, Nagato should be able to fix that. The turrets line up.. The wind wall knocks some of those revolving blades around and makes them dig into the ground near the three machines. "Well, that didn't seem to work now did it?" Nagato fires, eight black shells launching towards Xiao at high speed, it'll hurt if it hits, but no lasting damage, fortunately. "We're not going back just because you half-heartedly say so~" Musashi cackles again, the lightning elemental rounds crash into the wind barrier and barely make it through, nicking Musashi in the side, "I'd say that would be a nice shot, but your aim is off, girl." the turrets line up another shot, the three electronic panels come to life and screens with various mathematics problems on there show. The girls, and panels are still a bit aways, and another rapport of cannonfire from Musashi's turrets launch black shells towards Lyria, "Come on!" her secondaries light up and start pelting the area at random with black shells. Nagato shakes her head, at least someone's getting into it!
Shigure	The reports of cannon fire are joined by the Clown Zuiun. They dive in on the two Defenders, dropping 'bombs' made out of black paint and GLITTER! Glitter Paint Bombs! The Horror!
Xiao Li Yu	Xiao blinked, watching as her orbital blades were mostly deflected. "Oh. Well then." PLONK. A black shell hits her in the midsection and knocks her over onto her back. The others make impact around her, but the first one is what mattered. "...Ow." She muttered, sitting up with a sigh. "Okay, so they actually put some effort into the craftsmanship this year." "Fine, fine. I'm supposed to take this event seriously?" Xiao grinned, and a plume of purple flame flared up right around where her heart would be. "Black Bane." She raised an arm, and the blades stuck in the ground around Nagato dislodge themselves and fly back to their owner. "Drain." The blades became covered in an aura of green. It would drain life energy on contact. "Phantom Weapon." The purple flame flaring up from her heart broke off, the energy transferring to the twelve blades revolving around her, solidifying into ornately designed weapons. Swords, spears, daggers, lances, the like. And then Xiao lunged forward, dashing right for Nagato while taking care to avoid the aerial bombing happening above. ...Was that glitter? Glitter and paint? SERIOUSLY!? Grumbling in annoyance now, the researcher skid to a stop in front of Nagato, sweeping an arm outward, the twelve blades revolving around her split up and flew off, taking their places around the fleet commander before converging on her from all sides.
Lyria Mason	She catches the look from Nagato to Xiao and just raises one eyebrow. This is going to be even more interesting than last year from that alone. She's going to keep her focus on the battle now as she hears Musashi cackles she's trying to play keep away. As the shots come her way, this could be quite the problem with the sot of weapons fire is comming after here. She shifts a bit s she's forced to aboart going to melee. She slams her feet into the ground and a urst of flame forms for a second consuming the shells but this leaves her unable to attack for the moment. "Shiver your timbers lass but your not going to win this, and your a fool to think if guns are the only thing I can do!" She's got a plan, but Musashi has a opening she can make for a strike on Lyria with.
Nagato	Nagato smirks, "Of course, or do you want your precious school to fall?" Nagato's eyebrow raises with the words are being spoken. This will be intersting, but then again, there's that wind barrier preventing melee... "Smart." she mutters, some of those words actually meant something to the Fleet Commander, having played some in ALO... "All very... very nice weapons you have there, but do you think they'll penetrate the wind barrier before you?" Musashi takes the opening, ammo loading sounds then another blast of eight shells head straight towards Lyria, that cackle still there with each sequential burst. Two then two then two then two. "We will see that~ Come, show me what you can do with that tiny sword. Or can you even get past this little barrier setup now? I'll even go easy on you if you do..." for Musashi, easy wasn't really in her settings... Nagato shakes her head and lets her secondaries loose, sending many small black balls over the field, trying to pepper the area where Xiao is while her own turrets start reloading, switching to a secondary paint type for this one, "You might have to show some people that next time~"
Xiao Li Yu	Xiao frowned, watching as her blades failed again to reach Nagato. The dark aura washed off her weapons, and they returned to orbiting around her. Time to change strategies then. While Nagato let loose with a barrage of small black paintballs, she weaved left and right, taking a few hits, which blackened her school uniform. "Washing this out is going to be a pain..." She grumbled as she jumped aside. "...." Silently, she sized up Nagato, trying to figure out how to get through. "Hmn...Well then..." She called her orbiting blades to her arms, and they folded up, forming into a pair of black gauntlets that covered her arms. She clenched her fists and took a ready stance. "Okay, let's try this then!" Slamming her fists together, the girl channeled another spell. "Blizzaga!" Freezing air surged up, traveling all over her body into a cold aura. And then she dug a foot into the ground. If Nagato was surrounded by a barrier...then let's find out where it ends. Xiao reared back, and then slammed a fist into the ground. At first, there was nothing. And then suddenly, the ground between her opponent broke apart as a huge pillar of ice jutted up, attempting to strike the admiral from below. The tip was flattened. This was an exercise after all. Not life and death.
Lyria Mason	Lyria Mason says "Tiny sword?" She does not seem happy with that comment as she's moving in even as Musashi reloads, or is she? Two small spider drone like hing skidder across the ground trying to get close to Muasahi and if they do? She'll find things getting very cold, like to the point ice will start forming on her gear and it doesn't seem to be stopping. "Oh I was worried about bringing the house down." Lyria stops worrying about this as she launches some small grenades, they don't exploide but painful levels of Kyra's Mogstep come fromt the sonic grenades as well. MEanwhile a larger drone is nearing the fight and it looks almost like a robotic sea serpent.
Shigure	Chitose huhs. She leans in to whisper a bit to Musashi. "I... think we got the defective batch..." she mentions, before backing away, out of the firing line again. The three consoles still remain lit up, invitingly. Perhaps they have something to do with the barrier preventing direct assault of the aggressor forces.
Nagato	Musashi gives a brief nod in agreement... then she points to the air, "Get rid of those, won't you?" she smiled at Chitose, before those Mogstep Grenades crash into the wind wall, adding its noise to the whipping wind. "What is that dreadful sound?! This is worse than a scratchy vinyl!" she clutches her ears and shakes her head violently to try to shake away the god awful noise, the quad turrets firing off not eight but a whopping thirty two, wide spread, type 3 anti-student shells. Designed for maximum dispersal over a wide area... Modified Anti Air shells.. "Don't worry, use some bleach, it'll come out." Nagato offers helpfully before readying her guns once more. However, that Blizzaga spell hits home and sends the Admiral up into the air, only to crash back down with a loud bang! "Nnngh, cold... th... that was.. unexpected!" she grumbles out. She presses a small button on her headpeice and the three terminals suddenly crash together, albeit undamaged. Soon, a panel opens up under it with a paint grenade being thrown from it, then another! "We came... albeit mostly prepared for you. Didn't expect that cold pillar but..."
Xiao Li Yu	"Bleach. Right. Of course." She'd just send it to the cleaners. She didn't have time to be worrying about that! Work needed to be done! ...Speaking of work needing to be done, she had to get a good grade on this event so she could move on! ...Unfortunately, this...person, thing, whoever was under all that makeup and costume was proving to be rather strong. She scored a hit finally with the ice pillar, but that was just one for...many hits she took already. Sigh. That sigh didn't last very long as she saw the grenade launched her way. "...Aiyaaaaa...." And then she scrambled back, not wanting to be anywhere near the resulting explosion once it happened. All this paint was driving her nuts! Sigh, what to do now? The attack from below tactic wouldn't work again. ...Maybe it was time to be a little reckless? Xiao thought for a moment, and then tossed caution to the wind. With fists clenched, she ran around, dashing towards Nagato's side before unleashing a flurry of punches against the barrier, testing to see if it would budge at all.
Lyria Mason	Lyria Mason says "Heh, Kyra wouldn't he happy to hear that!" She calls back to the fleet daughter. She's going to make use her summoned ocmpanion. AS the shells comes in the blasts are going to be nasty and they really are. Lyria's caught up in them an she yells out. "Remora! SICK EM!" The thing hisses and it's jaws snap open. Inside a canon forms and there's a very bright glow from the depths of the barrel. Lyria isn't doing so well as she's caught int he blast but as it goes off? Remora does fire the very large energy beam at Musashi.
Nagato	It's about time they started taking this seriously, Nagato sure was going serious from the get go, even if it was hamming some of the words up some. Nagato's eyes look towards the untouched consoles and then back at Xiao, then she shoots a look towards Musashi, Yamashiro and Chitose... Nagato's got her answer, more so when she speaks with Cirra later... Oh what fun. But focusing on the battle, the Admiral raises and eyebrow and kneels down some at Xiao's punching at the barrier. "Do... you really think brawn is always the way to go?" she offers, a slight bit condescending, "Or are all of you students all fight and no tactics? How... dissapointing..." she turns to Musashi and Yamashiro and gives a nod, "All mains... anti-student shells." She was going to have to finish this with a failure if this kept up. "Fire!" and with another thunderous noise, the shells are launched and break apart into hundreds of smaller paint drops, planning on coating the rest of this battlefield in black paint, with some hitting the consoles. Musashi follows through with her own rapport of sells, but that Remora energy beam does go through the barrier, albeit at a lower intensity than what was intended, the buffeting winds providing some sort of good protection against attacks. "Really?"
Xiao Li Yu	"Hah?" Xiao slowed down. "......" She stopped completely, staring at Nagato. Then she turned away and brought a hand to her chin. "........." What were they implying? Were they not supposed to directly attack? Well, that would explain the whole line about 'being prepared' for them. "......" And then her gaze settled on those consoles. She'd ignored them before, figuring that they were some part of the enemy's plan. But maybe... Xiao doubled back, avoiding the paintballs as she backed up and took a look at one of the consoles, arm raised to shield herself somewhat from the rain of black paint shells. "What do we have here then...?"
Nagato	The consoles have a few mathematical puzzles on them and a box under each monitor with a keypad under it. The first one of the monitors, should she get to see it all is as follows. To those familiar with the traditional song "The Twelve Days of Christmas" how many presents, by the twelve days end, would I have. To those not familiar with it for off world people... the hint will be as follows. Twelve drummers drumming, Eleven pipers piping, Ten lords a-leaping, Nine ladies dancing, Eight maids a-milking, Seven swans a-swimming, Six geese a-laying, Five gold rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree. There seems to also be a small calculator opened up too... curious.
Lyria Mason	Lyria Mason is doing her best to keeo Musashi distracted, she doesn't want to turn her back on AOE firepower like this she also knowx Xiao is damn smart. She an trust he to handle the rest. One of her drones however is heading for one o the consoles as well. All the while she notes. "There's also such a thing as turning your back to an enemy, or have you ever heard of such a thing as diversion?" With that Lyria is contouing to dodge about while the spider goes for one o the consoles it will attempt to link up and hook contents into Lyria's goggle's display.
Nagato	The spider drone manages to hook up and route the second puzzle to Lyria's goggles. It displays on them as follows. There are three people (Alex, Brook and Cody), one of whom is a knight, one a knave, and one a spy. The knight always tells the truth, the knave always lies, and the spy can either lie or tell the truth. Alex says: "Cody is a knave." Brook says: "Alex is a knight." Cody says: "I am the spy." Who is the knight, who the knave, and who the spy?
Xiao Li Yu	"....Seriously?" Math in the middle of a fight? Who came up with this? Tell her so she could punch them. She sighed, hoping Lyria would keep the heat off long enough to handle this, and went to work. These lyrics were from a christmas song, right? December was just last month, in AU23. So then, these numbers all needed to be added, right? She entered 78 into the keypad.
Nagato	Paint bullets continue to fly from the battleship squadron, but when the number 78 is entered in... it makes an angry sounding buzz and gives a tiny shock! "What's the matter? Can't figure out a simple puzzle?" Nagato grins, "My girls back home could do it!" She looks towards Yamashiro and smiles, this was actually a difficult one, it did take the Admiral a bit to get it... Meanwhile, Musashi's still chasing down Lyria with her turrets! "Heeeheeeheeee!"
Xiao Li Yu	"Ow!" Xiao hissed and drew her hand back. "Really? Okay..." She reread the riddle and considered the lyrics again. "How many gifts..." She sighed and wiped some paint away from the monitor before making another attempt. "Wait a moment, maybe... Ah, the days as well? No, but...hmn... Let's try." She rubbed her chin and then entered another number. 364 this time.
Lyria Mason	Lyria Mason is dancing about at high speed now as the fire comes in, she sees the math word problem. Wait seriously? Not even Mr. Greene would think of things like this. She's trying to not go down at this point and Muasahi is chasing after her with the heavy turrets, she uses the spider drones to make several ice barriers. They won't last long but they will slow things down a bit. "Alex is knight, Cody is the knave, Brooke is the spy!"
Nagato	Nagato gives a fake shocked look, the wind barrier was going down! There looked to be two openings in it as the two give correct answers to the consoles. "Well, perhaps I might have underestimated your brains then." she grins, "But you still have... one more left!" The turrets start firing another set of shells, probably the last set as the last problem enters the screen. "Six wolves catch six lambs in six minutes. HOw many wolves would it take to catch sixty lambs in sixty minutes?
Xiao Li Yu	Success! ...Another problem. AND MORE PAINTBALLS! Xiao growled and leapt away from the console. She read the problem, so she at least had that. "Six wolves...sixty lambs...sixty minutes..." She mused while hopping left and right, and dodging around to avoid the paintballs while half thinking. "Maybe...well, if they're anything like the monsters around here..." She decided to try. She ran up to the console and entered a number. Six. Wait, six!?
Lyria Mason	Lyria Mason is going to have to trust in Xiao for the moment as she's still vaunting about from the incoming attacks. Xiao's at teh console and she'll attempt to give her some cover with an ice barrier, but that's about it, she's still boggling at this one, is this like a trick question?! She's not sure but for now she thinks on the answer in the unlikly even Xiao fails.
Nagato	The last of the wind barriers falls, leaving the four girls open to attack... but before that happens, "You win." Musashi and Nagato give a sorta cheerful... awkwardly sounding congrats... "Perhaps you are smarter than just beat your head into the wall and see how far it gets you. Come girls, they've got it figured out, we'll have to retreat for now and come up with something better for another day." a pause, then she looks towards Yamashiro and Chitose, "Coming girls?"
Shigure	Yamashiro turns and sets sail without a word, following after Nagato and Musashi. Chitose hisses, recalling her Zuiun. "Next time! We'll get you my pretties. NEXT TIME!" she flourishes, snagging the planes on wires held between clenched fingers, then turns to skate off after the others.
Xiao Li Yu	"......." "Wait, that's it? We just run around and solve some math problems?" Xiao blinked twice, and then glanced aside at Lyria. "...." And then she hung her head and sighed. "Fine, I'll take it. Grrr! You eevil witches and your riddles! Don't come back!" She shook a fist at the retreating foursome. Once they were mostly gone, she turned around and walked off. "Let's go, Lyria. I'm sure we both have work to do, don't we?" Something something broken drones. Wasn't her fault, honest. Really.
Lyria Mason	Lyria Mason sees that Xiao has finished it up and just seem to slump, she's tired, like physically so. She lowered her weapons and put them away as she looked to Xiao for a moment and nods. "That I do, I got some work to finish uyp and two other projects. We also should meet up later for lunch and plan a few things." She looks to Nagato and Musashi for a moment. She looks ot the others for a moment gives them a respectful salute and moves to depart. "We'll see about that formal tour soon enough Admiral."
