Lyner Barsett      Today was the day

Mir's room door burst right open. "Mir! It's time! I hope you're ready because we're gonna go to Urbania and hit the arcade! Come on! Come on!" And here stood Lyner. Actually not wearing his odd looking armor for once. In it's place, he wore a simple white jacket over his brown, sleeveless sweater.

     He looked very excited.

So excited that he didn't knock.
Jakuri     Mir is thankfully dressed this time, although in her bodysuit for the moment. Tugging on the gloves a tad as Lyner enters she shakes her head slightly. "WHAT have I told you about knocking first? Ugh." Straightening herself out, the Reyvateil shakes her head slightly. "Alright then. The arcade. Don't go running too far ahead now." And so they head out to... Where ever it was he said the arcade was. She can't entirely remember.
Lyner Barsett      "Alright! We're off! Come on! No time like the present!"

And without regarding his near miss, he turned on his heel and marched on out the apartment. It was a short trip down to the nearest Warpgate off of Njorun, and then to Urbania. Once they stepped out, they found themselves in a sprawling urban cityscape. Businesses and skyscrapers abound.

"Let's see..." The blonde mumbled, taking out a smartphone and bringing up a map. "Nearest arcade is...aha, right there. Okay." Nodding to himself, he smiled and waltzed off. "We'll be there before you know it!" And as they walked, Lyner slowed down enough to fall in step with Mir. "By the way, how've you been doing with playing games online? Isn't it interesting?"
Jakuri     "Ew. This place is a *mess*," Mir laments as they arrive in the bustle of Urbania. Although Lyner is unlikely to notice, she opts to walk relatively close to him as long as they're in the bustle. She didn't take ELMA with her, either. So SOMEONE has to tank for her if a jerk comes along. Once again she doesn't pay attention to much of anything about the direction they're going in; she rests assured that Lyner is not Shurelia. When the questions come along, she shrugs. "I haven't tried online for... Reasons." She frowns slightly, nose wrinkling as she glances off in another direction rather deliberately.
Lyner Barsett      No worries about tanking. Lyner would do that even if she didn't want it. But then, he wasn't really expecting 'Jerks' to interrupt their day. Though in a surprising amount of oversight, he does have the dagger that's usually on his armor's pauldron currently strapped behind his waist.

"Huh? You haven't tried it yet?" Lyner gave her an incredulous stare as she looked off elsewhere. "Well what are those reasons? You're missing out, you know?" Maybe he shouldn't pry. But Lyner was Lyner. So he was gonna not take a clue and ask!

The walk meanwhile was...well, crowded, but uneventful. The big city was a mess, of course. People running left and right to get to where they needed to be. Street vendors shouting out their wares on nearly every street corner. Groups of teens hanging out and chattering among themselves.

Lively was one way to put it.
Jakuri     The crowded streets only serve to steadily irritate Mir all the more. Although she restrains herself for the time being, it may not take long for her to lose her temper and do something decidedly brash. The Reyvateil remains at Lyner's side as they travel towards his chosen arcade, and she at least TRIES to keep up the conversation! "Because people are dumb and I have no patience for them," is the rather matter-of-fact response. And also the openyl honest besides, perhaps. There may be more to it than that, but this is her explanation for the time being.
Lyner Barsett      "Geh-!" At Mir's response, Lyner sort of stumbled a bit. "Eh hehe...W-Well..." She wasn't entirely wrong, but... "Give it a try. I know some people can be...uh, trying. But still, you might meet people you actually like! You'll never know unless you do it, right?"

That said, he turned a corner and... "There it is." It was fairly obvious. A game center with it's two pairs of double doors opened wide. Mostly young people were filtering in and out, and it looked quite a bit busy inside. Smiling to himself, Lyner lead the way in. "Alright. There's a bunch of stuff here. Does anything look interesting to you first glance?"

It was a big place. There were rows and rows of arcade cabinets containing games of all genres. Fighting, shooters, FPS, platformers, rail shooters, racing, and some physical ones like strength testing, ball tossing, mini bowling, and the like. There was also a food court off to the side, where people taking breaks sat down to do so.
