Hoshi Amakasu     Welcome to a neighborhood Hoshi hasn't stepped into for what feels like a years. It's weird how much change a few months can make.

The directions that she'd sent had brought everyone to her old neighborhood, a fairly standard bit of surburbia on the outskirts of Osaka. There's a path that leads into the complex streets of the burbs, but right in front of it was the place they'd come for. A guardian ramen shop, one might say. It doesn't look especially fantastic, but the smell that's coming from inside...

Which is why Hoshi's stomach is growling kind of hard right now. She's patiently waiting for the others to show up--eve occaisonally checking the sky with some concern on her face. Hoping Momoyo didn't come flying in, making everyone think they'd gone insane.

So for now, the red hanging cloth leading to the inside shifts oppen occaisonally with the breeze, inviting hungry souls.
Momoyo Kawakami      Momoyo wanders in with her sister, of course... and with her arm around Ayako. More than likely, both knew they were just kidding around, but it did certainly make things look slightly strange the way she treated Ayako like a date. That was just like her given how Amakasu saw her treat the destroyers.

"Huh... this vaguely looks like the Osaka from our world. Remember how Capt would always try to wander off there and blow off school after seeing it on TV specials?" she comments to Kazuko, keeping her arm on Ayako's shoulder. Given a hard fight recently and having Ayako nearby seemed to set her mood to a '10'. In fact, while teasing Ayako that much might have been worse than flying... even Amakasu could see Momoyo was more or less on her best behavior.

"Hooooooi!" her deep voice calls out, waving to Amakasu. The fact that it was Osaka made it slightly easier to navigate, but everything was in different places and the geography varied a bit... so Momoyo sensing Amakasu within the last mile made things much easier.
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako smiles a bit awkwardly. She not that uncomfortable, it's just... well, she hasn't had someone do this in a while. Besides, Momoyo's in a good mood from the teasing, so she doesn't mind that much. Especially since she was injured quite a lot just a while ago!

Ayako quietly gazes around... and notes that this Osaka seems a lot more normal than some of the ones she has seen while wandering around the Multiverse. After all, there are a lot of Japans. Which does make her a little reminiscent of home. Although that's another thought for another time.

Oh. There's Hoshi! A cheerful wave is given and... "Hello Amakasu!" Ayako does remember that Hoshi doesn't like being called by her first name, unlike her. She then curiously looks at the ramen shop.

Ayako can't smell, or taste. Nor does she eat. Nonetheless, she still likes to watch people eat.
Kazuko Kawakami      Walking alongside Momoyo and Ayako, Kazuko's seeming quite enthusiastic about the food that's about to go inside her if her cheery grin is any indication. "This'll be good... Oh? Yeah, didn't he end up taking down that serial stabber or something? Or was it the car thief..." She furrows her brow as she shuffles along, her lack of recollection of what may or may not have been a regular occurrence keeping her occupied for a brief time.

Luckily, it doesn't weigh on the younger Kawakami's mind for too long as she spots who it is Momoyo and Ayako are greeting, putting two and two together to identify the girl as... "Hi, Hoshi!" She waves excitedly, and the girl's just about ready to dash forward before realizing that she's still on guard duty today! Instead, she just keeps moving ahead steadily at a measured faux-march, glancing around every now and then to make sure that nobody troublesome-looking is following their little group.

She'll figure out Ayako's and Hoshi's quirks soon enough. Hopefully.
Hoshi Amakasu     Well, she wasn't flying. It's a good way to start. In fact, at first glance Momoyo and her little posse might've seemed absolutely normal. Super fit, maybe, but normal. Nobody's really giving them much of the side-eye, either. Except a couple younger teens who /might/ have been caught staring at the pretty girls.

Man, this place was actually pretty boring in comparison to the Multiverse, wasn't it?

As everyone comes up, Hoshi moves forward a few steps so she can bow properly. "It's nice to finally meet you in person, Ms. Kazuko. It's nice to see you both again, Ms. Momoyo and Ms. Ayako." Hoshi then blinks and tilts her head. "Uh... Can you actually eat ramen, Ms. Ayako? Like, I'll pay for you if so, that's fine, but..."

With a couch, the kendo girl spins on her heel and pushes her way inside. No more putting her foot in her mouth. "C'mon. If you like pork, you should get his chashu ramen. I prefer Tonkotsu myself, but...

The inside of the place is filled with the scent of spices and cooking meat, a delicious aroma coming from an older gentleman stirring a couple pots behind the counter. "Welcome, please have a... lil' Hoshi? What a surprise! I haven't seen you since you moved." A pleasing, relaxed smile comes to his face as he waves everyone else in to come sit at the bar. "Please come in, come in. You... don't quite look like lil' Hoshi's clumb members, though." Close, but...

Hoshi grabs for menus and passes them to the others, but the moment she opens her mouth the cook chuckles and starts adding spices to one of the pans. "Spicy tonkotsu ramen. Don't worry, it'll be done soon."
Momoyo Kawakami      Momoyo gives a half-assed salute into a wave. "Yo." she quips, her arm rubbing up and down Ayako's shoulder lightly. While a few younger teenagers did stare slack-jawed at Momoyo and Ayako both, and every so often Momoyo leaned in to whisper a dumb joke to the water spirit about how they were being looked at, she did look relatively normal. Dressed for cooler weather, Momoyo arrived in her black vest and slacks with the sweater and necklace. "Doggie's been sticking close by me until class forces her to leave, since my fight yesterday." she chuckles softly.

Momoyo made no comments aloud as to how badly wrecked she came out of that fight, but Amakasu could tell even Momoyo's ordinarily sharp red-eyed smirk was a bit exhausted looking. She had bags under her eyes, which was /extremely/ unusual. Normally Momoyo appeared to have limitless energy to the point of annoying everyone around her. Instead, she left keeping watch on the surroundings up to Wanko while she continued to tell dumb jokes to her mostly giggly pacifist-in-crime. For her part, Momoyo didn't say anything dumb out loud about Amakasu's persona. "I'm paying for Ayako. She'll have a tall glass of ice water."
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako of course, loves to be stared at. So she doesn't really mind the stares. Although Momoyo gets the most of her attention. She giggles brightly when Momoyo brings up that they're being stared at and, if one looks very closely, she has the faintest hint of a smug, vain smile on her face. Anyway, there's nothing wrong with boring. Especially when someone's recovering!

Ayako returns Hoshi's bow and then giggles brightly once she straightens herself. "I can't really eat. I mean..." Her amber eyes glance off to the side for a moment. "I can act like I can eat, but... the food is wasted on me-and I don't really like wasting food." She nods her head once. "So please don't worry about me." A cheerful smile follows. "Oh. But water's always nice."
Kazuko Kawakami      Kazuko grins as she gets close enough to see Hoshi properly, looking her over quickly in their approach. "Same to you, Miss Hoshi~ You look... Normal." Strangely enough, she actually sounds quite pleased with that. It's not every day she meets a new Elite that actually looks normal, after all, and it's quite a relief considering that the last few she's met have been a little on the larger side.

Giggling lightly at Hoshi's foot-in-mouth routine, the smaller martial artist puffs up a bit at Momoyo's praise(?) of the self-appointed guard dog. "Nobody's gotten close enough to even touch sis without my say so! Miss Ayako's okay, though." Kazuko gives Ayako a light pat on the back before continuing along with the rest of the group, scanning the inside of the restaurant quickly before nodding in approval.

"Nope! We're just friends of Hoshi's. I'll take a chashu ramen!" The girl knows what she likes.
Hoshi Amakasu         Thankfully inside the shop is nice and warm from all of the stoves and steam; mixed with the sort of faded classic look inside made this place actually seem pretty homely. Truly a place to cast aside one's cares into a bowl of soup.

As they come to sit down and Hoshi hands off the menu to Momoyo, she frowns and leans in a bit closer. "Jeez.... you look exhausted, man. How many fights can you get in? Even if you are a..." She blinks and glances over to the cook, and pitches her voice low. "Even if you are a powerful samurai blood person, you look like you haven't rested in a week. DId something happen?"

On to lighter subjects, Hoshi tilts her head to consider, then nods with Ayako's assessment. Not wanting to waste food is always a pretty good thing, even if the person doesn't actally need that kind of nourishment. "Well... Water it is, then. Good news is water and barley tea come free here."

A wry chuckle is pulled from Hoshi when Kazuko calls her 'normal'. Even if she wasn't really that far on the weird side, she definitley wasn't ormal anymore, much to her dismay. "Well, try not to get too excited. There's no poison in the food and nobody here wants to fight the girl they can't see because they wanted to oggle Ms. Momoyo.... Not that they don't deserve it. Creeps."

With Kazuko's order, the chef smiles and adds another pot to the stove. He goes underneath the counter to grab a handful of various spices , and liberally dusts each pot as they boil along. Once he's done, he shuffles into the back to bring out a jug and a few glasses, as well as one full of icy water. Free barley tea and water, and Hoshi pours herself a glass and drains it quickly.
Momoyo Kawakami      "Let's not talk about that right now. You guys can discuss it if you want." she waves off the response to Amakasu, preoccupied with teasing Ayako... but that left Kazuko to answer why she was guarding her clearly stronger sister. "This place is kinda nice, though." she replies, after rattling off a large order of egg drop soup.

"So, Amakasu... why haven't you come to us to 'clean up' yet?" she asks, casually. It was an honest question, as both sisters would be undeniably useful... but neither seemed to be mentally reliable depending on the Shadow. Mostly, Momoyo just did a poor version of a terrible accent to keep up the facade... as honest as Momoyo was, she wasn't about to disrespectfully make things hard on her cute companion for no reason.
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako cheerfully sits down and takes the cup of water given to her. She slowly sips from the cup and curiously watches everyone else eat. As someone who doesn't eat, she is curious as to how others do and react to 'food'. Her amber eyes move down towards the water, where they linger for a moment. Ahh... water.

"Aahh..." Ayako sighs softly as she comes up from her cup. "Well... it was just one fight, but it was quite the fight!" She nods her head quickly. "I gave her some Red Healing Water for her muscle aches, Purple to heal any wounds that her own healing might have missed, and Green to help recover her recover from exhaustion." Her head inclines to the side gently. "But you know... rest is still rest." She smiles softly and then resumes sipping from her cup of water.
Kazuko Kawakami      Kazuko giggles bashfully at the mention of non-poisoned food. "H-hey, I learned from last time. Besides, someone mentioned that I should be invincible to it now. It won't catch me twice!" Pleased that she's found the silver lining to that little incident, she takes one more look at the door before settling into her seat, then leaning in to keep her voice down while turning to Hoshi.

"Momoyo fought two really strong people recently. The first was Arthur. I didn't see the match, but I heard he was really loud and kinda funny about it." She seems rather hesitant to continue, glancing over at Momoyo and Ayako while weighing her options before finally speaking again. "The second was Sagat. He had this really cool scar on his chest and an eyepatch, and he was super tall and shouted 'TIGER' before a lot of his moves."

Another hesitant pause. "He beat sis. She had to use a lot of her ki, too, but it was a really good fight. No magic or robots or anything." Although there's some anxiousness in Kazuko's voice, she also sounds mildly excited. Motivated, even!

With that off her chest, Kazuko finally relaxes back in her seat before turning to Ayako with a curious look. "That's how your magic works, then... Cooool. But if you're a water spirit, then..." The martial artist strains a bit as she thinks hard on this! "... Is that water part of you or your family or something?"
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako stops sipping from her cup for a moment. "Well... you still should be careful about what you eat!" She smiles an awkward smile. "Ha ha... if you need any healing, don't be afraid to ask, Kazuko!" Her amber eyes drop back down to her cup of water. "Un. Yes, this water's a part of me."

She then playfully grins and offers Kazuko her hand in a handshake. "Here!" Momoyo knows what Ayako is about to do.
Momoyo Kawakami      "Hmhmhm~." she waits until Kazuko takes Ayako's hand. "Wanko, look, the menu has meat on the bone." she teasingly distracts Kazuko, lest her sharp senses realize Ayako is up to something... helping out the water spirit's mischief was amusing after all.
Kazuko Kawakami      "I knooow. Don't worry, I'll be prepared for that guy if he ever shows up again. Thanks, Miss Ayako~" Grinning confidently, Kazuko nods at Ayako before peering at her cup of water as well, then at the water spirit's hand.

Luckily, she doesn't suspect a thing as she reaches her hand out to take Ayako's, and Momoyo's distraction only serves to make the ploy even easier! "Ooh, really? Mm... I'll have to pay for that myself if I get it, though. But it sounds so good...!" Decisions, decisions.
Ayako Hasekawa     "Eh heh... I look and seem really human, right? But I am a water spirit! Despite how it might seem... this body's made of water." Ayako giggles softly. "Like so!" And after Kazuko shakes her seemingly normal hand, it swiftly loses it's solidity and color. It literally becomes a hand made of water-still in the shape of her hand, but made of floating water. Water which fades back into solidity and flesh color at her wrist.

This sort of prank is something Ayako loves to do to people she meets!
Kazuko Kawakami      Blinking slowly, Kazuko turns back to Ayako with a curious look as she feels her hand going... Through Ayako's hand? She jumps a bit in her seat at that before giggling lightly, poking her hand into the water spirit's hand-mass a few times curiously. "Whoa... Cool! But... What happens if you get more water on you?" She still looks rather curious as she looks from the glasses of water, then at Ayako, then at Momoyo, and then at Hoshi. Is she plotting something?
Momoyo Kawakami      "Hmhmhm~. That's Ayako's special move." she replies, stretching... and then leaning in on Ayako's shoulder of all things. "Yaaaaawwwwnnnn~... I could bathe with you all day, Ayako." she replies with a flirty pun.

"And now, time to nap with my date." she abruptly begins snoring softly. Of course, it's Ayako's favorite thing, someone resting up and healing, and Wanko and Momoyo both shared traits of sleeping quickly. But for Momoyo to do it without being bored... it was a measure of just how utterly exhausted she was. Seems her endless energy applied only to fighting and sometimes work, but it was telling that she was actually pushing herself to be here today...Despite acting completely childish to the point she made Ayako look like the mature one taking care of her and Kazuko.
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako giggles brightly at Kazuko's reaction and then reforms her hand. Her head inclines to the side gently. "Hmm? I just absorb it into my body." She giggles again as Kazuko looks around at the glasses of water and follows her gaze. "Yes, I'm over there too. And over there. Also there."

And then Ayako blushes lightly at Momoyo flirting with her. But she does smile softly at Momoyo when she gets some rest. She has been pushing her to rest, after all.
Kazuko Kawakami      "Whoa.. Then you must get super full when it rains!" Kazuko's got that star-struck look in her eyes again. Even she understands basic things like how containers, work, though, and she eventually gives Ayako another curious look. "But if you're in all those places, then... Where does the extra water go if you can't put it somewhere else?"

Peering over at Momoyo, the younger sister giggles lightly at Ayako's blush before her expression softens, looking both relieved and worried at the same time. Straightening up in her seat, she gives the water lady a rather formal bow of her head. "Thanks again for all your help, Miss Ayako. Sis really wore herself out with that fight, huh...?" It's probably an obvious question with an obvious answer, but the younger sister can't help but ask anyway.
Momoyo Kawakami "Mmrmrrmrmmnn~." she mumbles. Eventually her head slips down to Ayako's lap, scooting over in the booth. But it wasn't because she was fooling around, it was just about time for her to go home. For that matter, the Kawakami Temple had been getting more and more used to Ayako helping out in random ways, so they let her enter and leave Momoyo's room without a second thought.

A few idiots around the restuarant glared jealously at the clearly thuggish and childish Momoyo getting to rest in the lap of a Yamato Nadeshiko type like Ayako, but the jealous glares of other people wanting to rest on Ayako probably only further fuelled her ego. It seems that the water spirit's earnest desire to help the Northern Deva was mutually beneficial in a ton of superficial ways.
