Tamiel     The competition is ready! A small transport - Confederate, not Heaven-aligned - has parked in a remote area of Summer. The pleasant weather makes for a good outdoor kitchen event, though the kitchens do have coverage to keep insects out. Several fully-stocked kitchens with ovens, food processors, microwaves, and so on have been set up. Cameras are here as well to record it, and even a small audience! Very small. After all, these are not exactly top-flight chefs with reputations working here... and the ingredients list leaves something to be desired.

Those competing will get the list of ingredients they must use when they arrive. The first two must be used spread between the appetizer and main course, and include HP22B - colloquially known as a 'Carolina Reaper' pepper - and assorted mushrooms or cream of mushroom. The dessert course is themed around 'ambrosia' and of course variations on it. Various meats, fruits, vegetables and so on are available for when the competition starts.

Tamiel, surprisingly, wasn't informed ahead of time. She's wandering over to her station and staring at the list. "... I am not sure who chose this, but I think they have a poor sense of humor." She's still masked, but her mouth is free. You know, for tasting.
Shin Tokuyama     Shin is here. In place of his normal suit jacket, he's instead got a white Chef's jacket on with the sleeves rolled up to the elbow. He also has his normally unruly blonde hair perfectly styled so that it sweeps backwards, up, and then to the side in the front. It feels somehow familiar to see him in a chef's jacket that that particularly styled blonde hair.

"Mmm. Mmm. Yes." He says, nodding a bit and cupping a hand under his chin as he looks down at the ingedients, "Yes, this was a tough Mystery Box challenge, but anyone with a strong sense for cooking should be able to survive this pressure test." He notes, rubbing his chin as he paces.

He might be planning to wander a bit when people start cooking.
Kay     Okay! Kay has arrived with some worry, because she JUST picked up some reports of stuff happening on Galladia. That's kind of worrying. But she has a CHALLENGE to get to! And she is now here, parking her bike and washing her hands, only to get the ingredient list. "Seriously? This stuff is... uh... hm. Actually I think I can work with this. It'll be a little tricky though. Kinda works great with my skillset though..."

Folding the paper up and tucking it away, she nabs an apron, tosses it on, and grins at Shin. "Now don't go easy on me. If the big bad grigori wants a real cooking contest I'm kind of curious what she'll come up with."
Berserker Berserker shimmers into existence, and she'll grab a list with a critical eye. Her eyebrow twitches, then she murmurs, "Remember, beloved, what we talked about." She does not plan on competing, though that might change if Tamamo shows up to compete. Instead she takes a seat and folds her hands in her lap, curious to see what Kay can come up with unaided. She's confident in her own skills, but the challenge was for Kay.
Kyra Hyral     So according to Kay, this was an /open/ competition. Meaning that more than just Kay and Tamiel could enter. At first Kyra wondered if the sous chef position was open, even offering to do such for Kay. But after learning that other participants were welcome, well...

    Now the competition has Kyra.

She shows up with a big grin on her face. "Oh so it's a /mystery box/ challenge, eh. How interesting! I love these versions." Kyra rubs her hands together. "Alright, so let's have some fun, huh?" There's the distinct impression that Kyra is not exactly very serious about her participation.
Tamiel     Hmmm. Interesting crowd. Tamiel observes passively... or maybe not. The whole POINT of the masks for grigori was so that their opponents couldn't read their expression. "I look forward to seeing what you all create." She tucks her own list to the side, tieing her apron off... and flicking knives into position. A few quick slices are already starting on some chicken she's laid out, and a skillet prepared a moment later. Some dried chiles are set out for chopping and crushing. She makes quick, efficient work of crushing them with the flat of a blade, moving with practiced efficiency.

It looks like she actually knows how to cook.

"I am presuming we can provide a salad to complement," she idly adds as she dumps the peppers into the skillet with a thin tomato sauce. Then she moves over to a bowl to start putting the sour cream and fruits in for the ambrosia, so it can be properly chilled.
Kay     Uh... huh. Kay stares over at the well-practiced motions, then bites her lip. "Great, I had to end up going against the housewife grigori." Oh well. She grins and waves to Kyra, "Hey! Good luck, Kyra, if you're joining in! Look forward to seeing what you're going to do."

Kay sets about making her own prep! She doesn't even touch the ingredients for ambrosia yet, despite its normal prep time, and instead grabs several corn tortillas and cuts them into small triangles, then sprinkles them with oil and shoves them into the oven. She follows that up with a large stewpot on the range, and begins gathering some pork to tear into strips.
Kyra Hyral     Meanwhile, Kyra gets right to work on those super-hot peppers, but not before donning a pair of gloves and goggles before working with them. She actually has quite a bit of experience working with capacin-heavy materials-in particular, she uses these hot peppers to make homemade mace. Of course, that wouldn't be what she's going for here but she does seem to set up an extraction on the peppers, resulting in what looks like a highly concentrated oil of some kind. Or...syrup maybe? She winds up adding sugar to it.

Yep, she's making a carolina reaper simple syrup. Oh no.

Then she moves on to slicing up some portabella mushrooms.
Shin Tokuyama     "Mn. Mn," Shin nods his head, considering Tamiel's dish as he walks around carefully, "Big risk, making a salad that needs to set. Top priority, better make sure she doesn't let it distract her from her chicken. You slice it up like that and it'll cook faster, go dry faster. Can't cook too short either, winds up rotten," There's a chance he's only going to retain this information for as long as he's in this competition.

He smiles at Kay, "I won't go easy on anyone. I expect some top competition here. Anyone feeds me bad food, I'll put on an apron and show them how to really cook," He vaguely menaces as he walks around, adjusting his sleeves. He dips a spoon into Tamiel's sauce and tries a bit before then grabbing a separate, clean, spoon and replacing it. Best to taste-test in a sanitary way.

"Now. If I had to guess outright, I'd say Tamiel is preparing a spicy chile chicken in a red sauce to be accompanied by a salad, possibly using arugula and a vineagrette to cut the spice. Kay, on the other hand, will likely lean into the spice. I'd say she's going to go with a plate of deconstructed nachos. Kyra, on the other hand," Shin rubs his chin again, "Is likely going to be doing a chili-concentrate based mushroom dish. No protein as of yet."
Kyra Hyral     Big, long strips of portabella mushroom are put into a pot of pre-boiling water to which Kyra had added a cup of sugar to not long ago to let it dissolve. She is /candying/ the mushroom, infusing it with the dissolved sugar. While this occurs in the boiling pot, Kyra gets to work on some other items-like any scientist in a busy lab she is, if anything, really accustomed to multitasking. In the meantime she whips up homemade whipped cream from actual heavy cream and sugar, which takes not so long for Kyra to do with a hand mixer and is probably the least terrifying food-related thing she's doing in this kitchen today.

After that, she starts cutting up all kinds of fruit. Bananas, grapes, pineapples, even some shredded coconut makes it into the mix, though this comes pre-sugared from the offered ingredients since she doesn't have the time to break open and scrape a full coconut.

"Wait, Shin, do you really know how to cook...? I mean, if I give you food poisoning are you going to punish me with cooking lessons?" Kyra /sounds/ like she's joking about this. Maybe.
Shin Tokuyama     Shin smiles at Kyra as he looks around for an apron, "I do know how to cook. Mostly. I can't bake. That's a science," He points out, then adding, "But cooking is just like martial arts. You bring things into balance, you temper and focus your vision, and you control everything just right. Even the worst things could be turned good. Watch," Shin muses as he ties the apron around his neck.

Rubbing his hands together, he looks at what kyra has cooking, "I know enough to know you're deliberately making bad food, anyway. Call it the martial instinct, I can tell when a person is feinting. BUT."

He plants a very tiny bowl down on her work station, "Say I take your spicy syrup here. And I add a bit of your candying mixture to it. Then I keep it from setting or crystalizing by adding a little salt to the mixture... add some soy sauce to give it flavor, and then some vinegar..."

He mixes it all together and the whole process, even talking her through it, takes him about 25 seconds. After that, he's taking off his apron and popping a spoonful of the mixture into her mouth. It's a very robust sweet and spicy sauce.
Tamiel     Is... is that a smile on Tamiel's face? "You have a good eye. That is mostly correct." Indeed, the tomato-based sauce is light on the spice, but the peppers are so potent it's still got quite a lot of kick to it. She lets it heat up, then abruptly turns it down to a simmer. Only then does she put the chicken in, and leaves it be for a while to let the slices soak up the moisture and flavor.

In the meantime, Tamiel moves on to making a clear broth, dicing up a few green onions to drop into it and then finally picking out some mushrooms to start slicing.
Kyra Hyral     "W..what do you mean /deliberately/?" Kyra immediately gets flustered, almost fumbling her cutting knife as she slices a grape in half. She actually stops cutting for a moment and gestures with the knife. "I'm really trying to unleash my creativity here, not lose on purpose so Kay can win. I mean, I don't /expect/ to win to begin with, but..."

She trails off, her face red. "W..well..." she watches Shin take over her dish, adding soy sauce and vinegar of all things-which does sound like something Kyra would do herself but not because she thinks it'll make it taste good, moreso that it would change the pH of the mixture and/or thicken it. "But I was going to-mmph." She blinks, then pulls the spoon from her mouth. "...well that does taste good. I mean, the plan was to make an ambrosia trifle with the sauce and candied mushrooms in the layers." She gestures at the fruit, her eyes watering a little due to the heat of the sauce. "Oh-"

She puts a hand to her mouth, "-oh jeeze. Milk. Whole milk. No-" she scrambles away, grabbing a bottle of olive oil and shakily pouring it out into a small ramekin. She drinks from the ramekin like a shot.
Shin Tokuyama     Shin smiles widely at Kyra before the spice kicks in and he slowly edges off screen to avoid responsibility. By the time she's drank the milk, he's migrated work stations to go over near Tamiel and inspect her broth. Unfortunately, in 8 seasons of Masterchef, no one has made a consumme, so Shin can't guess that, "Interesting. Do you think a wild Mushroom broth will be useful to make a risotto that can undercut the spice of your chicken with earthen tones? Hm, I wonder."

"Tell me about how you started cooking, Tamiel?" This is always the part of the episode where a contestant gets their backstory filled out a bit.
Kay     Kay watches Shin with some dismay, "Are you sure you should be doing that?" She isn't sure what KYRA is doing, but at least Tamiel, for all her skill, seems to be doing things relatively by the book. Kay will just have to get... creative, that's all. And she intends to do just that, as she adds some flavoring to sliced mushrooms, and then pulls out some... sweet bean paste. What the hell is she making? While that is heating up, she rolls out some dough into thin squares, a few inches wide.

"Oh is this one of those?" She's only seen one cooking show, really. "Kyra have you been on one of these, before?" She's moved on to grabbing some corn and vegetables, chopping up the latter.
Berserker "This is fascinating," Berserker notes, to everything. "I could learn a lot from this, even if it isn't what I would have chosen to do." The girl leans forward, placing her head in her hands and watching... mostly Kay, because she's creepily obsessed like that.
Tamiel     "You're very close," Tamiel replies to Shin. She's managed to find some time to select lettuce and the other vegetables for the salad, and started on a dressing, which appears to have a mild amount of ginger in it as well. She looks toward Kyra with something resembling worry. "Will she be all right?" In the kitchen, she actually shows concern for others, though it's still delivered with a fairly flat tone.

A question? "How I started cooking? My previous handler, Joseph, liked to attend social functions. In my down time I thought it best to please him by learning to cook, and perform other household tasks. That is where I learned to make Kay's dress, as well."
Shin Tokuyama     "She'll be fine. It's milder than what her food would have done to me. A pre-emptive counter-attack," Shin waves off the worry vaguely, "If you can't take the heat, yada yada, appropriately placed cliche," Shin muses as he looks over towards Kay and then smiles in response to whether he should be doing anything. He tilts his head a bit to inspect what Kay is doing, asiding to Tamiel, "Your dish is the only one I think I can predict from a traditional standpoint," He remarks.

"So. You learned various domestic duties and skills because of previous experiences. Interesting," He nods and then asks seriously, "Do you think this will allow you to compete evenly with Kiyohime for Kay's Sapphic Adoration?"
Kyra Hyral     Kyra's gone for a few minutes as she manages to wash the taste of the hot sauce out of her mouth. When she returns, she offers to Kay:

"Yeah, Honnouji Academy held a cooking competition once and I participated. Didn't win that one but..." she thinks of the fierce poisoning she distributed. "...I made a real big impression at Honnouji." She half cracks a smile at that between fanning off her mouth from the sauce. Despite this momentary Shin-caused setback, she seems to be engaging in the plan she started with and starts layering fruit on the bottom of a big glass dish. She starts putting the syrup/sauce in, then puts whipped cream on top of that, then more layers of fruit or candied mushrooms. Even some marshmallows make it in there to go with the ambrosia theme.
Kay     Hmm, Kyra's is looking complicated! And Kay hasn't started her ambrosia! What's she going to do about that? She doesn't look worried overly much, just knitting her brow. "Wait... grigori have to do that stuff? I thought you were just warriors..." She shakes her head and gets back to cooking, dusting the dough slices with a bit of extra flour.

Kay moves over to her stew pot again, dicing tomatoes and onions beside it. Then, instead of putting them into a salsa, she just dumps them in the pot with the pork, along with several of the peppers. It should be instantly recognizeable she's making a pork-based chili.

Finally, she starts on her appetizer: spooning little dollops of mixed bean paste and mushroom into the dough squares, and folding them into triangles, while she heats up the deep fryer.
Tamiel     Tamiel glances at Kyra with confusion. "Is that some kind of casserole?" It's disbelief mingled with uncertainty on what the challenge is. She taps her lip and tries to think of what Kyra may be planning... surely this is some scheme?

Except that Shin then makes a comment about Kay and Tamiel's relationship, as related to Kiyohime, makes her falter. "W-what?" She pauses while she's turning up the heat for the chicken, then moving toward the ambrosia dish to start layering in the marshmallows. "My interest in Kay is not romantic in any way. If I had any romantic feelings, they would be for..." She thinks a long, long time while she adds the pecans and fruit. "Most likely yourself, Shin. I have no interest in such things. Perhaps Lezard."

    Yeah.
Shin Tokuyama     "Wow that guy? Crazy, I never figured you for the nerdy megalomaniac type. Is it the glasses or the speeches? Because I broke his glasses once. He broke my everything else in return," Shin muses before he wanders off from her work station. He seems pretty unreactive, externally, to her admittance of romance potential. But he might just be playing the cool protagonist Gordon Ramsay right now and will be internally reacting.

He wanders over towards Kay, inspecting her dish. He KNOWS Kyra is making something that will be an attempt to kill his stomach. He can sense the malice in her dish. He doesn't react too much, though. He leans in towards Kay's dish, "So Kay. How would you describe your cooking style? Rustic americana? Latin-inspired comfort food? What are your influences?"
Kyra Hyral     "It's a trifle." Kyra explains to Tamiel, layering shredded coconut after a layer of sliced banana. "A sort of layered dessert. See, the layers make it look pretty." She steps aside and...well, it's true, they do look pretty. Whites from the banana, greens from the grapes, yellows from the pineapple, and an orange-ish color from the sauce. "Mixing spicy things with sweet things is a thing. Even with those hot peppers, I think it can work."

It might set a mouth on fire. But it'll be sweet fire.
Kay     Kay drops the wrapped triangles into the fryer, and quickly checks on the chili. "Mine? Well uh... I mostly learned to cook on the road, seasoning with what I had. So it's more of a 'practical-rustic' I guess. High in protien and energy but with basic flavoring. This is a bit of an experiment for me. I'm used to cooking with heavy seasoning and spices though! So I think I have a little edge on the main dish, because chili is pretty common for me to fix. It's the appetizer and dessert I'm not sure about. Speaking of..."

Kay didn't have the stuff out for the ambrosia! And Kyra is putting hers to shame in complexity anyway. Kay does have a trick up her sleeve though. She layers in soem coconut and cream, then tops with some whipping before dropping in... frozen fruits. No pecans for her, just fruits, and all frozen, mixed in with a number of small marshmallows.

As the fryer dings, Kay shows what she's doing by popping the whole mess in the microwave for a few seconds while she grabs the bean appetizer. Needless to say, thawing the fruit will also make the marshmallows expand into a huge, fluffy and fruit-filled dessert.
Shin Tokuyama     "I see. Three very different dishes tonight," Shin nods as he looks, "And a very definitive and practical cooking style from you. It's important to remember your roots, I think, and play to that. Which you're doing strongly. Chili is a robust dish if done correctly, and you're being daring trying it in so short a time period when it's usually an all-day slow cooked dish."

He finally wanders over to Kyra. The flat stare he gives her says that he's really not buying that her dish is purely creative, "And so, Kyra Hyral. What influences your cooking, besides what I assume to be the Dark Hadou?" He inquires curiously.
Tamiel     Tamiel is almost done now, still chilling her ambrosia but now stirring the soup, while the chicken sizzles. So, after a few minutes of this while Shin is interviewing the others, she starts to put things together. A little ginger dressing on the salad, served with the soup for appetizer, and then she begins putting together the spicy chicken with a side of rice, fairly plain and simple in nature but... arranged carefully, complete with a sprig of parsley. Her dish LOOKS good, at least, though it's nothing particularly imaginative.

"I suppose we will see. It has been a very informative experience thus far," she admits. Kyra's 'unique' but horrifying dish - which she is actually being polite in not saying such - and Kay's more rustic but bold attempt.
Berserker Berserker snaps her fan out, fanning herself thoughtfully. "I have a suspicion that Kyra's dish will be very... flavorful, if nothing else. I admit that both my beloved and Tamiel have surprised me with their own capability, but for a show like this, boldness is important, wouldn't you agree Shin?"
Kyra Hyral     "....what?" Kyra stares back at Shin, "Were you expecting anyone to use Carolina Reaper syrup sauce in a trifle? I bet /not/. As for what influences my cooking....well..." she taps her chin, inadvertantly dabbing a bit of whipping cream on it in the process. "...well, my influence for my skills is kind of a secret I don't like sharing with other people, actually. It's....complicated. I know I'm not really great at cooking but I still have a lot of fun doing it. And if you /do/ get poisoned, I can probably heal you, you know. Anyway, I'm pretty much done."

She gestures at the completed dessert. It at least looks cool with the colors she picked. "Enjoy."
Kay     The hot little pockets of mushroom-bean-paste, which are Kay's riskiest venture, are dumped onto a plate and drizzled lightly. Those are slid over as she tries to finish the chili, which IS a bit... tough to get right in a short time period. She used a little orange juice with the diced onions and tomatoes, though, which gives it a very distinct scent. No alcohol, surprisingly.

"This is a bit spicy, so you're going to want a drink with it," she warns. "The vegetables should make up for that a little, but they'll also soak it up." She's angling on the pork being the interesting part as she ladles out some chili, tucks a few saltines next to it, and finishes it off with a dab of sour cream right on the top. It doesn't look nearly as pretty as the others, but at least that saves it from being plain.

The only downside is her ambrosia, the bowl having inflated the mixture thanks to microwaving the marshmallows, and then deflating it once the oven dinged. It's come up as kind of a fluffy mess in appearance... and that's when she tucks the baked tortilla chips in a ring around the edge. Might also be why she didn't salt them, either.
Shin Tokuyama     Shin does taste each dish. And he goes over them in specific order.

He starts with Tamiel's dish, rehearsing how he wants to try it very carefully. He takes a forkful of the salad, a sip of the soup, and then a bite or two of chicken and rice. He considers it for a few moments, "It's basic. It's a very safe dish. You use a lot of staples, a lot of very well-rounded techniques, and a lot of... mmm... a lot of precision. It's not bad, and it's actually quite good, but it is missing something that makes it unique. Something that makes it 'you'. It's missing a personality."

He steps over to Kay's dish and grabs a new utensil. He very slowly eats hers piece by piece. He starts with one of the dumplings, eating half of it. Then he takes a spoonful of chili and eats it. He finishes it all off with a taste of the dessert nachos, "Mm. This is very daring. Very experimental. It shows that you went outside your comfort zone, that you were willing to try something new and inventive, even if you weren't sure it would work. The flavor profile of your appetizer was good, but the texture did not work. You could have put that filling on toasted bread and it would have functioned much better." He takes a sip of some milk, but seems mostly unbothered from the spice, "Your chili is bold. If it had another two hours in the pot, it would have reached perfection. But you made a strong showing with your limited amount of time. Your dessert was a mess, though. You have salty, you have sweet, you have even more sweet. This would have been a case of less being more, I think. I feel like if you and Tamiel had worked together on a dish, it would have been something really standout."

Finally, Shin stops at Kyra. He actually stares her flatly in the eye and for a moment one expects that he may not eat her dish. But he does, boldly, dip in a spoon and take a mouthful. He remains standing, which Kyra may not be used to, and calmly wipes off the spoon. He sets it down on the table in front of him, "So." He says, taking a sip of the whole milk, "Let's talk about your dish."

"You candied your mushrooms, which was a mistake, and you know it. You can't add that level of a sweetness to something with as heavy an earthen flavor as mushrooms. You should have candied your peppers for a sweet-spicy sauce, but you didn't., " He pauses to take another sip of milk, "Instead you refined your peppers into a syrup, removing any flavor and leaving this dish with simply raw Capsaicin. Added banana to a dish of marshmallow and sliced grape, giving your dish almost no texture, " Another sip of milk to mitigate the terrible taste and burning in his mouth, "Your coconut is raw, you should have toasted it to add a bit of crunch and highlight its flavor. Your pineapple adds even more to the sickening sweetness of the entire affair."

He stares Kyra flatly in the eyes, "I would call you an awful chef, but I believe you have to be a skilled chef to have created a dish this awful without accidentally adding a redeeming quality. That said," He concludes, "There are, by certain definitions, ways in which your dish could be considered a deliberately planned attack. If I were a sovereign nation, I would consider what you just served me to be analagous to the bombing of Pearl Harbor." The fact he's still on his feet should be a testament to both his fortitude and to the fact that he has spent literally half his life eating out of trash cans.

"I have to consider Kay the winner for creativity and Tamiel the winner by traditional flavor profiles."
Kyra Hyral     Kyra stares him down, unblinking, the faintest trace of a smile on her face. Sure, he could refuse to eat it, but he'd lose face if he did, wouldn't he? But he does consume a bite and she watches him very carefully, unsurprised to see him reach for milk to neutralize the oily capacin in his throat left over from the dish. Without that, it would continue burning for the rest of the day easily.

She manages to keep a straight face all throughout the critique of the dish, nodding along, "Fair, I suppose. But I disagree with the last part. I am /not/ a skilled chef." She then pulls out her phone so she can go look up this Pearl Harbor thing that Shin just mentioned.

Offhanded, she adds, "You can't have two winners like that, you have to pick one person. Else there are no winners. -oh, you are basically saying I just started a war in your mouth via a vicious attack on your tastebuds. I see." Kyra scoops up the remaining trifle and elects to /take it with her/ for her own nefarious purposes.
Tamiel     Tamiel considers what was said. "I see what you are pointing out, and concede the point. I should attempt more variety when given the chance if I am to make an impression outside of the standard circles." She learned something today! "I will concede that Kay, for this challenge, was likely my superior in terms of handling the challenge with less experience."

    ...

"I have to try that," she says of Kyra's dish, just because she DOES apparently have curiosity now. "But perhaps when I have medical attention nearby."
Kay     Huhhhh. Kay bites her lip at the assessment of her dessert... the rest she kind of guessed, having figured out the mushroom bit earlier. "Yeah. Maybe I should have used potatoes and gone with a sweet sauce, or toast like you said. I'll figure it out." She shrugs, nodding quietly at the chili comment because it really is something that needs more time, but then the dessert is making her cringe.

"I tried something unsure because I wasn't really up on 'ambrosia' anyway. Guess that one fell flat. Thanks." She grins, looks over at Tamiel's, and then at Kyra's. Finally, she admits, "This is the weirdest challenge I've ever had from a grigori, but it was pretty fun. And Tamiel... I still can't figure you out, but you're... weird. And I'm impressed."
Kyra Hyral     Kyra looks insulted for a moment. "/I/ am medical attention and nearby. You know what, just for that, I'm not letting you have any of this trifle. I'm taking it all home for myself." The white mage huffs, carefully manipulating the deadly treat so she doesn't get any of that syrup on her.

"Anyway, it's been fun~" she grins mischeviously at Shin before skipping off with her new Weapon of Unpleasant Consumption.
Shin Tokuyama     "Wow, that's a hard persona to keep up," Shin muses, slipping back into his normal demeanor as he takes off the Chef's Jacket and starts to put on his normal suit coat, "Remind me to cook for you three some time, though. Most people don't trust me around open flames and sharp objects, but I'm pretty good at it most of the time. But don't tell anyone I really ever admitted to it," He adds, looking stern, "I know that other guy cooks and I don't wanna deal with it," He finishes.

Then he looks at Kyra, "Enjoy your Spicy Thing! Remember to make sure that dish is actually glass or it'll eat through plastic!" He shouts after her as she skips off.
