Ebon Ribbon      A lovely afternoon in Spring, as usual. The sun is shining, cottony clouds dot the sky, and plenty of wildlife is roaming around. All in all, a very peaceful and beautiful place.

Which means that the dark pony, Ebon Ribbon, is sulking beneath the shade of a tree. She dislikes all this sunlight, being a creature of the night, and so is just waiting here until the sun starts to go down. She is passing the time by regarding the local wildlife and whatever other creatures might pass by, trying to decide who or what looks tastiest. The wildlife seem to sense something about the purple-grey pony, and everything from birds to deer are staying well clear of her.
Alden Alden was quite enjoying the sunny, lovely day, was a nice change of pace after the crazy spots he visited lately... and other stuff. He decided to just take it easy and walk around, chewing a piece of meat attached to a larg ebone, it kind of looks good, but it's hard to tell what kind of meat it was. He seems unaware of the dark unicorn, even as he moves nearby. While he is not enterily unable to feel something... odd, he is more curious than alarmed.
Ebon Ribbon      Ebon Ribbon raises an eyebrow as she sees that little lizard...thing that seems to be wearing a wolf pelt. He does not look dangerous or strong at first glance, so she does not leave the relative darkness of the shade tree, but she does watch him carefully since he is obviously not a native to this area.

As Alden walks along, though, a cute little baby bear wanders across his path, sniffing at the air. It looks around, then notices the meat Alden is holding. It starts toward Alden, looking quite hungry, but being smaller even than Alden it is unlikely to attack. However, it does move in quite close.
Alden Alden looks around again, that weird feeling... he feels observed... The digimon hesitates, tail swishing behind him, and he seems about to turn around when cute happens!. He spots the tiny bear, tilting his head and moving closer, "Hey little guy." he chirrs, and then realizes what the ursine wanted. He is too nice not to share!, tearing half of the meat he had, and placing it down for the bear to eat. "Here you go."
Ebon Ribbon      The little bear looks quite happy when Alden sets the meat down. It waddles toward it, and then...a fox! A decent sized fox dashes by and takes off with the meat before the little bear can get to it. This, naturally, causes the little bear to plop down and start whining. And Ebon Ribbon snickers at this turn of events.

Up until there is a roar from a nearby section of woods, and the little bear looks over before heading toward it. A moment later, a large brown bear stalks out of the trees. And it looks right at Alden, then growls menacingly. How dare you make my cub cry?! That's the obvious look from the now angry bear. Then, it charges!
Alden Alden growls at the fox, glaring at the vulpine, before he turns back to the little bear, "No, don't cry, here!" he tries, slowly offering the bear the rest of the meat. The roar from around, and the brown bear makes the digimon whimper and step back, the meat forgotten on the ground. The digimon does not want to hurt the bear, but also does not want to get mauled by one!. He has no time to run, so he chooses the other option. In a rather swift movement, he grabs a card from the cardbox in his belt and slides it across the D-Arc (yes, got to add those to the description eventually). "Digi modify evolution chip S!" he mumbles.

As soon as that happens, his form begins to glow brightly!, enough to momentarily blind anyone staring at him, before he seems to... explode in a burst of voxels. When the light fades, a much more fearsome creature stands where the reptile was. A lare, quadruped wolflike thing, as tall as the average person, with somewhat oversized paws and a large muzzle filled with large teeth. He growls loudly and tenses, prepared for the bear's attack.
Ebon Ribbon      The big bear is now even more convinced that the blue wolf creature is after her cub! Why else would he turn into an even more dangerous creature? The momma bear stands tall, reaching nearly 9 feet, and roars powerfully. The transformation does at least stop her charge, though. But, she isn't about to back down, not being a big bear with a little cub.

Ebon Ribbon has taken notice now that Alden has shown his true strength, and stands in the shadow of the tree. She decides to 'help' Alden. How? By conjuring her Ebon Streamers and sending them sailing toward Alden. Assuming he doesn't sense them and dodge, they would wrap him up and suddenly yank him toward Ebon's tree and well out of striking distance, leaving both bears looking confused.

Of course, if that -does- work, Alden would feel quite a strong drain of his energy from those glowing neon purple ribbons.
Alden The digimon was not showing quite his 'true' strength, but certainly showed some!, he was not quite hoping to fight the bear, perhaps buy time until he can... And while thinking that, he gets yanked by odd... ribbons?. He feels the energy drain, whimpering as he tries to shake them off, trying to bite at one of them. Of course, by that time he was far from the bear, "Hey, let go." he growls softly, kidn of affraid to yelp, while struggling against the drain.
Ebon Ribbon      Ebon Ribbon giggles as Alden lands near her and starts struggling. Her ribbons hang on to him probably longer than necessary, though his bite does sever one of them. Finally, the ribbons release him and reel back into the unicorn's horn. The bears, with both Alden's remaining meal and him at a safe distance, retreat back into the woods with the baby bear gnawing on Alden's bone.

"Relax, big guy. I just helped diffuse the situation. Sorry for the bit of a bite my ribbons gave you. I cannot turn that off, I am afraid." the pony says as she looks Alden over. She then holds out a forehoof, as if to shake. "I am Ebon Ribbon. And, you are welcome."
Alden The digimon lets out a sigh of relief as the draining stops and he sits down, regaining his breath, "Sorry... it does not feel good... my energy being sucked away so fast." he explains, ears splayed, "Sorry for biting." he adds. He raises a big paw and tries to shake the hoof, not reverting for now at least, "Pleased to meet you Ebon Ribbon." he says, admiring the rather large equine, "I'm Alden." he says, before tilting his head, "Sorry for the dumb question but... are you a pony?, I mean... I met a unicorn before but she was... not quite as big as you are."
Ebon Ribbon      Ebon Ribbon just giggles a bit at the apology, as if she doesn't think it is necessary but thinks it is a bit cute that he is apologizing. "It did not hurt. My ribbons are magical." she says, which is probably obvious by the way they disappeared into her horn. At the question, she hmphs. "I am, though they would be loathe to claim me." she says, obviously a bit bitter toward other ponies.

She turns her eyes toward Alden again, her nose still raised in a proud, better-than-other-ponies way. "What unicorn did you meet? Not that obnoxious Twilight Sparkle, I hope."
Alden Alden shakes slowly and nods, "I was just making sure... I am not sure how that works." he explains, meaning the magic. He tilts his head again at the tone, "Twilight sparkle?" he asks, thinking, "Purple unicorn?" he mumbles, "I barely met her... the only Unicorn I really talked to was one called Rarity, she was really nice."
Ebon Ribbon      Ebon shrugs as well. "I am not even sure how it works." she says, smirking lightly. She nods at the response about Twilight. "Good. That goody-four-shoes is always ruining the fun for us." she says, then smirks lightly. "Rarity, huh? She is a goody-good, too. But, at least she has class."
Alden Alden chuckles a bit, "Eh, no worries, I am not sure how my own powers work." he says with a grin, sharp teeth!. He itches his left ear a moment, before nodding, "That kind of person, eh?" he asks, nodding a bit, "She was rather nice, Rarity I mean." he says, before he adds, "Thank you for saving me from the bear."
Ebon Ribbon      Ebon Ribbon waves a hoof dismissively. "Think nothing of it. You were tasty." she says, as if it is a perfectly normal thing to say. She then stretches out beneath the tree again. "Ug...all of this sunlight. Why is it not dark yet? Does this place even get dark?" the unicorn says as she lies her head down, grumping at the bright green grass lit by the sun only a few feet away. "Why do people like ths sun so much, anyway? It is hot, uncomfortable, bright..."
Alden Alden grins, "Thanks... I think?" he says, puzzled, but not minding the odd comment!, his long tail wagging slowly as he sits closer to the unicorn. "It is a bit bright... yeah." he says softly, "I'd offer to help, but I don't think I can do anything about it." he says.
Ebon Ribbon      Ebon mmphs softly. "It is my own fault for stepping into an area called Spring. I suppose I will have to tolerate some of the sunlight if I wish to return to Equestria anytime soon." she says, though makes no effort to stand. She looks over at Alden as he sits closer to her. "So, I am a pony. What are you? Some sort of pokemon?"
Alden Alden nods, he'd pat the pony's back but... wolfpaws. He nods a few times as he streetches, yawning in a rather canine fashion, tongue curling and all!. He shakes his head, "Nah, I am a digimon!" he says softly, as if that was a good explanation.
Ebon Ribbon      Ebon waits a moment after Alden answers, expecting more. But, he doesn't offer anything else. So she giggles. "I see. And, how did you transform from a small lizard creature to a large wolf creature?" she asks, sitting up on her forelegs now. "Are you a shapeshifter?"
Alden Alden seems to realize what he did and blinks, "Sorry, I am a digimon, I am made of computer data and stuff." he tries to explain, before adding, "Hmm, I am still not sure what a shapeshifter is... but digimon tend to be change forms as they get stronger... for most it is a permanent change, but for me it's only temporary." he says softly, "This is not my strongest form, I just wanted to be safe if the big bear did get close to attack me."
Ebon Ribbon      Ebon's ears perk as she listens. "I see. So you have even stronger forms?" she asks, seeming interested. "And, those forms contain more energy, I assume?" she says, mostly to herself. She smiles after that. "Well, that bear would likely have needed a bit more persuasion. That was her cub that you didn't upset." she says, then giggles. "It was so funny when that fox ran across and snatched up the meat. The look on your face when the mother arrived." She giggles again.
Alden The digimon ponders, "I am not sure... I mean I only have so much energy... just changing forms I end up using more... but I guess I might have more in a stronger one..." he muses, not really realizing the idea behind the question. He licks his own nose, "I was just going to create an ice wall, perhaps freeze teh bear to the ground for a moment and just leave." he says softly, "I was affraid to use stronger forms... did not mean to cause harm to the forest." he says. He does chuckle at that, "Yes, that darn fox... the momma bear really scared me."
Ebon Ribbon      Ebon frowns lightly at learning that his energy actually decreases as his form gets stronger. "Ah. Yes. Peaceful resolution is always good." she says half-heartedly. She still smirks again as Alden agrees about the fox. "I wonder if that fox realized the trouble he might cause. Perhaps he watched from the forest, snickering to himself. But, at least no one was injured."
