Kazusa Ujikane     Dinnertime in the Union cafeteria is bustling as usual. Nevertheless, Kazusa has managed to secure a table big enough for several people, and a fair bit of food besides. Most of it is finger foods, at that; chicken wings and tenders, pizza bites (they make pizza bites here?), mozzarella sticks with marinara, it's a great big snackfood spread. She herself is a pretty hungry girl, and she's also got not one, but TWO Servants coming to the table today! So she's planned ahead.
Frankenstein     Dinner is always good, especially since it's another Master's 'cooking'. Even more so when White Berserker gets invited to the dinner after her exploits over in Home and seeing Bahamut and the like there. Her Master isn't around for some reason, probably studying, but that's okay, for some reason Kazusa wanted her here.

She slowly walks around the area, dragging the Bridal Chest along the ground, the tap of metal boots echo on the ground, only to make a beeline towards Kazusa... even if it means forcibly moving tables... "Good... evening..."
Black Arachnia It's been a long time since Black Arachnia ate with any of her flesh-and-blood allies (not counting the handful of binary-bonded humans who work with the Union's detachment of Autobots), so the invitation to meet over dinner ... kind of caught her off-guard.

Not that she was going to let that show, of course. She's got her image to uphold.

Fortunately, the Union cafeteria does offer energon, and other Cybertronian-compatible foodstuff-type things. Getting a tray of suitable munchies isn't too difficult; Black Arachnia solves harder equations the way some people play video games. Getting from the serving line to Kazusa ... *that* would be the tricky part.

Except for the fact that Black Arachnia is, like her name suggests, a spider. At least in her beast mode.

So while White Berserker may find it necessary to displace some furniture (and maybe some people) on her way to Kazusa's table, the Maximal spider simply navigates across the ceiling, carefully keeping her tray balanced in her manipulators - and upon reaching a point above said table, she just spins out a glowing strand of 'web' to descend. "Pardon me," says the spider as she sets her tray down where she intends to sit, then detaches from her web-strand with the words, "Black Arachnia, maximize."

A split second later, where there was a robotic spider danging from the ceiling, there's a somewhat spidery-looking robot pulling her chair out to sit down. ... With a little improvisation, given where her kibble sticks out. Nothing she hasn't dealt with before. "Good evening to both of you," she says courteously.
Moonlit Saber "You came here early, Master." The silver-haired Saber is suddenly -there-, fading into existance from spirit form. Finger foods? How... unsightly! That won't stop Saber from reaching out to take something to nibble on, though. She'll just avoid the greasy and messy things for now.

"Hello, Berserker." The other Servant is given a soft smile and an incline of the head in greeting. She does glance toward the Bridal Chest for a moment, but doesn't look too concerned.

"And... Black Arachnia, is it?" A spider robot. Hmm. Saber tilts her head slightly, then gives a slight bow of greeting. "I am Saber. I know there are several of us in the Union, so you may address me as the Silver-haired Saber, or Saber of Silver... or simply Silver. I will answer to any of those."
Kazusa Ujikane     That poor table. It still had so much to live for.

Well, people don't seem to be THAT upset over it; there's a couple of them complaining, but this is the Union cafeteria, it's probably not the worst thing that's ever happened here. Though when Berserker sits down, Kazusa gives her a slightly sheepish look. "Aheh, ah, hey, Berserker... gotta be careful how you walk in here, make sure you go around stuff instead of through it..." Ah well, no harm done (to people, anyway). She's just about to grab for a cheese stick when-

"Wawawaah-!" Along came a spider, and sat down beside her. Kazusa does not seem to have expected this surprise! "O-oh, you're- you must be Black Arachnia." Well now she /really/ looks embarrassed. Caught off-guard so easily. "Ah, it's good to meet you." Then comes a comment from Saber, prompting a grin from the Master. "Well, I wanted to make sure the food was ready by the time everyone got here." And maybe dig in on some of it herself. Possibly. She'll deny it if called on it.
Frankenstein     What table... YOu mean that pile of wood and such on the floor? Oh well. She sits down close to Saber and Kazusa, tilting her head slightly. "Around..." she repeats, only nodding slightly, "I... am sorry." she turns to the people who are giving her a few not so happy looks then she turns to the two... "Hello. Saber." she replies back, following those eyes towards the Bridal Chest. "Mmm." she keeps a good hold on it... just in case. "I... don't leave... without it..."

Though, when Kazusa makes that surprised noise with the unexpected roborachnid comes dropping in from the ceiling... she gets herself ready to smash it... only... for Kazusa to seemingly be okay with this so far. She lets the Bridal Chest down some... and nods... "Hello..." she flatly says, no real emotion in her voice, "Black... Arach...nia..."
Black Arachnia "That was still my designation the last time I checked," the Maximal says dryly, "and I haven't heard of another Black Arachnia signing on with the Union. I do check the rosters fairly regularly." Still, she favors her tablemates with a polite nod, picking up a crystal of energon from her tray. "It's good to meet you in person, Berserker, Saber."

She gives Bridal Chest a momentary looking-over, as if trying to decide how dangerous of a weapon it is. She can't be overly concerned, though, given that she's already nibbling on that first piece of energon. "So, Berserker and I are the candidates to fill in those cards you mentioned?" she asks Kazusa.

Small talk? What a quaint notion that must be to her.
Moonlit Saber Saber pats Kazusa lightly on the shoulder. That was an adorable surprise take, and she may be poking fun about it later. "I suppose... You know I always get nervous when I do not know where you are, but I suppose Rider could not make it into a place like this." She makes a brief, worried face and lets out a breath. "I suppose it worries me more that he has been so quiet lately." She shakes her head. "It is nothing to worry about for now. I am sorry."

Saber manages a smile, if a bit forced, and reaches for another mozzarella stick. "Do not worry too much, Berserker. I know you were eager to come join us." Reaching out, she slides the plate of mozzarella sticks over. "Here, these are wonderful. Try one?"

Black Arachnia is given another careful look and a nod. "Mm.. It is good to meet in person, yes." After a glance at the energon crystals, she decides it may be a bad idea to offer other food to the robot, though. "Master, what cards are they going to fill again?"
Kazusa Ujikane     "Mhm." Kazusa replies to Arachnia, nodding her head. She finishes her current bite of food, wipes her fingers, and then reaches into her purse. When her hand comes out, she's holding a pair of cards. The exact same cards from the image in her notice on the Union board. "So, uh. This isn't really hard or anything, I just kind of... I hold them out, and then... well, uh. The last people I've done this with, they said they heard a voice. Or, not really 'heard', and it wasn't quite a 'voice' so much as... it's hard to describe, especially when I haven't heard it myself. But something will ask your permission. The Beast and The Cutthroat," she adds for Saber's benefit. "...you know, I've never really tried loading two cards at once, so..."

She holds both of them out, backs towards the Maximal and the white-clad Servant seated at the table. Both of them will experience the same thing; it is similar to being spoken to, but more basic. There are no words to it, only impressions; a 'voice' heard in the mind, speaking in concepts at the most basic level. A voice that works on a lower level than language. But if words could be put to it...

...Black Arachnia's would be something like, "O shadowed avenger, will you lend your silence to this brave soul?"

...Berserker's would be something like, "O fearsome fury, will you lend your ferocity to this brave soul?"

Kazusa does not seem to hear either. She simply looks back and forth between the two, curiosity in her eyes.
Black Arachnia Shadowed avenger, huh? The second half of that isn't a way Black Arachnia typically views herself, but she's here because she wanted to see what use Kazusa could make of her unique set of abilities ... so while she's not entirely sure what the 'proper' way to answer that question is, she accepts/confirms at what would best be described as a machine-code level. To put it in binary terms, where she could return a 0, she consciously returns a 1.

And she keeps right on eating, her various sensors perked to see what happens. If she has to respond out loud somehow, either Kazusa will say something or Black Arachnia will figure it out for herself from the lack of anything at all happening.
Frankenstein     White Berserker tilts her head slightly, looking at the cards curiously, and as the Beast one is presented towards her, she closes her eyes, listening to that 'voice'. Those impressions. This was Saber's Master... but she's been nothing but kind to her. She even called her adorable. And her Servant is polite as well. She does consider this for a bit, opening her eyes for a moment.

Fearsome fury... was she specifically wanting her power for something? Was Saber not good enough or did she need more power from Saber. She doesn't entertain these thoughts any further, making a small grunt of confirmation towards that request. This was a curious thing for the Berserker to do, helping another Master, but...

She takes a look towards Kazusa, "You... can have... my help."
Moonlit Saber Although Saber herself has some experience with the Knight card, she doesn't know much about the others. She certainly doesn't know what they ask potential candidates! She's never seen a card being accepted in person before, though, so it does make her wonder if that's what it looked like when she communicated with the Knight.

Saber nibbles a bit more on the cheese as she watches, giving both of the others a grateful smile once she sees they've accepted. "Thank you both. I am still not fully used to the idea of my Master going off and getting herself into dangerous situations where I am not able to come help, but it is heartening to know that she has friends who will lend their strength." She tilts her head toward Kazusa and lightly pokes the girl's arm to let her Master know she was only picking a little bit.
Kazusa Ujikane     Neither Arachnia nor Berserker receive a 'reply' from the cards, but after the former gives her silent assent and the latter speaks her permission out loud, Kazusa's eyes widen a little, and a bright grin spreads across her face.

When she turns the cards around, the dagger on The Cutthroat has been replaced with a black widow's crimson hourglass, and the bestial jaws have instead become an image of the Bridal Chest. "There! It's all done." She takes them both in one hand and slides them back into her purse, starting to eat for a moment before realizing... "Oh! Oh, the two of you don't quite know how they work, do you? I can explain, if you want." Nomf. What Saber says has her nodding energetically as well. "Mhm! I really appreciate letting me use your abilities. I know something like this can be really personal, so..."
Frankenstein     Berserker nods... moving to take a cheese stick into her hand. Nom. "This... is good." She tugs the plate close and starts nomming the cheese sticks before perking up. "What... does the card... do?" she questions in response to the whole explaining thing. "You... are welcome... but I... want to be.. there when you do..." she comments.

She looks between Saber and Arachnia... and pushes the plate towards Saber... "Did you... want some?" she questions, a bit of a smile is given and she tugs the plate over to Arachnia... "You... want some?"
Black Arachnia "Magic is pretty much a complete mystery to me," Black Arachnia replies to Kazusa with a diffident shrug. "I *am* curious how much of my abilities you'll be able to use with that card; I doubt you'll be able to transform the way I do, or do the same sort of hacking that I can ..."

She waves a hand slightly at the offer of the cheese sticks. "I'm good. If I wanted something besides energon, I would have asked for one of the grilled cockroaches."

... said in a near-total deadpan tone, as if she isn't even joking about it.
Moonlit Saber By the time the plate is offered over again, Saber has finished her first cheese stick, and she quickly takes another one. She may be dignified, but she still needs a lot of food! It's just... neat and tidy in how she stuffs her face. "Thank you, Berserker."

Despite her regal bearing, the look that Saber gives Black Arachnia is not one of disgust, but one of confusion. "Does that mean you are able to consume normal food on top of your robot crystals?" She pauses and shakes her head. "I am sorry, I do not know the terms. That sounded wrong." At least it doesn't seem like she meant to offend. "How it works is difficult to explain. I have seen it happening and still do not really understand it." She glances aside to Kazusa, though, to allow her Master to do any other explanations.
Kazusa Ujikane     "Ah, no, I actually will!" Kazusa replies to Arachnia, enthusiasm seeping into her voice. "See, when I use my card, it turns me into a complete copy of whoever it's of! Or, um, it turns me into 'me as a complete copy', I guess. When I use your card, it will turn me into a transforming robot version of me! I'll even take on some of your personality traits. When I copy Berserker, I'll even be a Servant. That's how it worked with Saber, too."

She settles back in her seat a bit, dipping a mozzarella stick into the marinara. "See, I've got the five cards. Each one takes only a certain kind of hero. And I can use it once, and the transformation lasts for a while before it shuts down, and then the card is used up. Inactive. Once all five of them are used up, they go back to normal and I can use them again! It doesn't matter what order I use them in - just that once I've used one, I can't again until I've used up all the others too." She pats her purse. "Right now, The Cutthroat and The Beast are the only ones left to use before they reset and I can use them all again. Oh!" She sits up a bit. "I almost forgot. Loading your powers is only good once. When the cards reset, if I want to use your powers again, I'll have to come find you! Or you come find me. Or, something."
Black Arachnia Black Arachnia stares briefly at Kazusa. "How would that even ..." she starts to ask, then trails off.

Right. It's magic. It doesn't HAVE to make sense, at least not from a scientific point of view.

"Make it count, then," the Maximal settles for saying. "And remember my first rule of stealth operations: if you start leaving a trail of bodies on your way *into* a place, you're doing it wrong; all the corpses will do is draw attention to the fact that there's somebody unauthorized on the premises. You're always better off starting the trail of bodies on your way *out* of wherever it might be."

She takes a 'bite' of another energon crystal, processing it down for full ingestion, then adds, "You might find that tidbit useful in other situations, too."
Frankenstein     When she hears that Kazusa would become a Servant, the Berserker's eyes fall upon Kazusa with a heavy gaze... "Who... would be your... Master then... to draw from?" she questions, a look towards Saber and then back to Kazusa. Another pause is given... "I... do not.. have much... personality." she responds, a frown, "YOu.. will be OK? Will.. you have to... draw from... My Master?" she questions again, leaning back only to nom a cheese stick again.

"These are... delicious. I wonder.. if Master would... enjoy these...."
Moonlit Saber Even seeing that sort of thing happen has not gotten Saber used to it. She does wrinkle her nose slightly as she looks toward Black Arachnia, though. "There should not be any trail of bodies. Neither my Master nor myself wish to kill anyone when not necessary." Saber would shudder to even imagine herself stuck with a Master who would be so quick to kill. "I will not fault your personal methods, but I do not think there will be bodies where she is involved."

Green eyes blink as she looks toward the Servant next to her. "I do not think she requires a mana source for such a short amount of time..." She pauses and looks back to Kazusa. "The last time you borrowed my powers, did you?" It's a valid concern, one she never thought of before! But... turning, she reaches out to poke Berserker's cheek. "You have plenty of personality, Berserker. You are just quiet. Do not sell yourself short."
Kazusa Ujikane     "I don't have a clue how it works!" Kazusa replies cheerfully. "It's magic. It defies common sense." So chipper. But whatever reaction Arachnia was expecting from her advice, the one she gets is 'rapt attention'. The nerdy card-user is a very attentive pupil! ...for short stretches, anyway. She gives the Maximal a wide-eyed nod, looking as if she'd be writing this down if she had a pad of paper handy. "Aah, well, Saber's right, I'd rather not kill anyone at all if I don't have to, but... this is still good advice! Even if I'm just knocking people out."

Then Berserker raises a very good question.

"I, ah... I don't think I draw from anyone? I'm not sure..." She shakes her head at Saber. "I don't think I was 'linked' with anyone. I'm pretty sure I just had enough magic in reserve to last me one fight." But now Kazusa is frowning. This is a very good question! So is the other one the Servant raises. "You should take some home! Just remember to heat them up so it's all gooey when she bites in. And take some of the sauce too. It's the best when you've got the sauce."
Black Arachnia "Technically, it could be a trail of 'unconscious' bodies rather than 'dead' bodies," Black Arachnia remarks. "The premise behind it still holds true."
Frankenstein     her cheek is poked and she squeaks, looking at Saber then back at Kazusa. "Be... careful. I do not.. .want to see... you hurt." by your own hand that is... "If... there is... something I ... can do. Let me know." she whispers, only to perkup as she gets the permission to take some of the cheese sticks home! "Master... will thank you too when she can see you again..."
Moonlit Saber "That is true. My apologies." Saber inclines her head toward Black Arachnia. "It is useful information." She glances aside to Kazusa. "I am afraid that I am not terribly stealthy, Master."

Oh, but that sound is adorable. Saber will have to remember that Berserker squeaks when poked. "I am sure you can take as much as you like, Berserker. I am certain I am not able to eat all of this." She glances down at the table for a moment. A blatant lie, it's more like she won't than she can't.
Kazusa Ujikane     "I appreciate the advice, regardless," Kazusa says, bowing her head gratefully. "And I appreciate that offer, too, Berserker. You're really nice, you know?" She settles into her chair again, very nearly slouching; the comfortable seating of a teenager who is near the end of a delicious meal of dubious nutritional value. "Ah, well, you don't need to be stealthy, you've got more than enough cool to make up for it, Saber!" A pause. "...What do you mean, you wouldn't be able to eat all this? I don't know many people who-" She is probably treading into dangerous conversational territory here.
