Setsuko Kaminagi     The Union medship is not technically within Origin System space, but only just. It's stopped near the other end of the nearest warpgate to Jupiter; somewhere that, if the Technocyte Virus does go nuts, the ship can fly itself back into Grinner-Corpus-Tenno space where the experts are. But there seems to be no sign of that happening. It's early morning by the ship's clock, the morning after the mission to find info on Phorid's location, and Setsuko Kaminagi is just fine.

She currently stands inside a quarantine area comprised entirely of energy fields aside from the floor; with a virus that can potentially infect both organics and technology, it's not safe to have so much as a laptop in there during the quarantine procedure. But Setsuko doesn't seem to mind. She's on her feet, calmly and smoothly going through a slow, steady series of sword stances and movements. A step, a strike, a step, a parry; she moves as if the motions of this particular kata are ingrained in every fiber of her being. And her expression is very nearly zoned out, for that matter - the activity is outright meditative for her. A good way to make hours disappear.
Kushiko Approval for entry is one thing. After all, according to their claims, they were immune to the Infestation, and the fact they had kept killing and killing them by any account placed some veracity to these claims.

Still, it was potentially a little unnerving for the silent Nova Prime Warframe to proceed through the ship. As she had proven she controlled and wielded antimatter the same way most people wielded other far less volatile elements.

All that power, delicate-looking frame (by comparison) to the others that had sometimes been evidenced. But Setsuko had vetted her, and the Major's word meant it. She looked unarmed but that was hardly a guarantee against Elites who were themselves living weapons by definitions.

"Perfect form," are the words that come. Not from the frame directly of course as the faint pressurized hiss heralded closing of the door behind her. Nova's head canted slightly as she glanced over the energy fields with what would be modest interest on anyone else, but with the 'helmet' betraying no such easily decipherable element, one only had the Tenno's voice to go by.

"Lotus wanted us to thank you and the others for being extra careful with this. What you call 'Aurics' seem to be pretty resilient, but not everyone's that, are they?"
Setsuko Kaminagi     Given the relative rarity of Elites in the Multiverse, any of them being onboard the ship is probably cause for stares, for curiosity and concern. The fact that Nova Prime is unaffiliated, here under the Major's permission, makes her more interesting on top of that. And the security on the ship HAS been briefed on her capabilities. So yes indeed. Kushiko has some people a bit on edge. But if Setsuko says it's alright, there's not much they can do.

Setsuko's movements don't stop until she reaches a good stopping point in the kata. When she does, she holds her posture for a second, and only then returns Zanjintou to its sheath. "There was a time where my form was masterful, but still human. One of the few things I regret losing. When I see it in others, it looks natural. Beautiful, in its own way." She turns her head such that she can look at the blank 'face' of Nova Prime, and nods. "That's very true. It doesn't matter whether I can be infected by the virus or not. The entire crew on this ship? It's guaranteed that they aren't so fortunate." She turns then, going from simple standing to idle pacing, walking a circuit of her quarantine cell. "And I'd like to extend the Union's thanks in turn. For allowing us to help, and for providing us with information. The Infested are something we could have to fight on our own some day, if it ever gets out of your system."
Kushiko Might also help too that the Void energy; be it directly or made manifest as antimatter that would eradicate the spores be a nice reason to have the Tenno aboard. "Perhaps it is not as lost as you might think." the Tenno offers. "Besides, we have come to terms with concepts of humanity as they are sometimes seen. Sometimes, the past is held onto too tightly when striding toward the future." she offers.

"After all, you lament such a thing. But maybe I am thinking of it differently, that we should think of you not unlike us." A pause, then what might be a smile behind that voice, if sad: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I think, is that what you mean?" The Warframe shrugs helplessly. "I liked it a lot, if that helps."

Whether or not it did help, "It is a shame they do not let me enter. Even if there was the smallest risk, our antimatter would ensure no lingering contamination." Kushiko remarks almost a little wistfully.
Setsuko Kaminagi     "Mm. Perhaps. I suppose I simply miss a time when it was just long-honed skill, rather than a trait of my very existence." Setsuko folds her hands behind her back. "But you're right. Ruminating on the past does me little good." A faint smile. "As for you being stuck out there... well. That's just caution on their part. You're an unknown to them. They have yet to have a chance to analyze your abilities, see for yourself what they can do. The Union subscribes to a 'better safe than sorry' mentality when it comes to unknown diseases, whether natural or created. I can't say I blame them. If someone in this ship were infected because of me, I'd probably never forgive myself. So I don't mind the caution. I mostly just feel restless, eager to get out and work again."
Kushiko Ah yes. Caution. Sometimes a silly thing, sometimes a good thing.

"Of that, we have noticed. We cannot blame their desire to know more, but all the while, we cannot let them pry too deeply. We know of those who would experiment, who would dabble. I know you would trust them, but your trust is not yet enough for me. It is enough that they wonder and theorize. Whatever they come up with will suffice, I'm sure."

As to that restlessness, Kushiko might know a thing there. Simply standing and talking leads her to let a flicker of energy courscate up her hand, an empty sphere of lilac energy dancing along her fingertips for a moment.

"Perhaps once the matter of Phorid is dealt with, we may yet meet."
Setsuko Kaminagi     Setsuko inclines her head faintly. "I can't blame you. When I arrived in the Multiverse, it was a good month or two before I made my decision on what to do about the war. I didn't want to give my loyalties to a military that would turn out... objectionable." Individuals from a given armed force can be honorable or wretched; only observation can really give one an idea whether those individuals are the exception, or the rule.

Setsuko settles to pacing slowly again, only to nod her head faintly. "If you wish it, I'd be honored." She can guess how dangerous it is to invite someone to meet her real self. While she doubts the real Kushiko is /entirely/ helpless, it's still probably a far cry from the Warframes she sends into battle instead. "What exactly is the Phorid, though?"
Kushiko "Quite. We are... better served remaining unentangled by your conflicts right now, free to assist where we are best suited." Kushiko concludes with a slight inclination of her Nova's head. To say nothing of the potential where a large and sprawling system which normally /should/ be good could go one way or another. At least the Union has yet to show signs of similarity to the Orokin.

"It would do well to your understanding of us. Besides... we have not had many whom we feel we could trust to such an idea." That and perhaps even the Lotus felt that Kushiko's desire to outreach was better realized than suppressed.

As to the question of the Phorid, well. That prompts Nova to lift her hand up, displaying a 3D holographic image; a panoramic of Phorid itself. It looks of course, like a large Charger, but reddened plates and other little idiosyncracies setting it apart from the average Infested.

"Something that keeps coming back from the smallest cells. We know there's breeding grounds in the dark sectors of the system, but completely eliminating it and others like it is not something that sticks. Not that it cares. It's a weapon, like us, only that it went wrong."
Setsuko Kaminagi     "So it's... directing them. Or at least spawning them." Setsuko mulls that over, memorizing the thing's appearance. "I take it it's smarter than the majority of the Infested. Or at least more aware. If tracking it down is important enough to run a data-gathering mission like last night's..." They consider this thing more dangerous than a Juggernaut. That alone is fairly telling. "Well, regardless. When you do go after it, I'll be there. My wounds from last night have already closed. I'd say by tonight I'll be back at full capacity." She's ready to go whenever, in short.
Kushiko "That's about the size of it, yes." the Tenno remarks. Inwardly, she frowned, remembering something. Knowing something about it.

"I know you felt the rage of the Juggernaut. At least, I assume you did, because of what you felt with me, and what in turn we sense of you." Nova glances to one side for a few moments, the coils of energy bleeding off the back of her helmet more present before she cants her head back.

"Phorid's scream is worse. It /will/ hurt if you're in the vicinity, as will it's spines which it guides with it's mind." Wait, it's /telekinetic/?!
Setsuko Kaminagi     The rage of Phorid is even worse...? The reaction Setsuko has is likely a bit unexpected.

    She smiles, just faintly.

"Remind me to tell you about Witches some time," she replies, a faint mix of amusement and distaste in her voice. "Suffice it to say, I've been subject to psychic attacks before. It will still hurt, but I'm... prepared, I suppose you could say. I'll be able to fight through it." She finally unfolds her hands, resting the left on the sheathed blade at her side. "One of the greatest boons my blade has given me. Perserverence. I don't think I could endure some of the pain I have if I was still mortal."
Kushiko For what it's worth, where Kushiko was, she was smiling. It was good to see that kind of confidence and power in others. Yes, there was the potential of kinship there, to be certain.

"That's good. I know, and I've seen you take damage like none other. And I imagine... there are stories we both could tell of it. And maybe soon we will!" She pauses for a moment.

"Just because you /can/ take the pain doesn't mean you should. Don't get me wrong. I'm honored by yours and the willingness of others to put forth their blade, but..."
Setsuko Kaminagi     Setsuko chuckles.

It's a small, brief noise, but there it is.

"...There's a medic among our ranks. Sakura Haruno. More than once, she's told me similar. 'Just because you regenerate, doesn't mean you don't need a doctor to tend your wounds.' I feel like there are better uses of her time than me, but I've learned when to defer." She gives her head a little shake. "Don't worry. I don't deliberately let myself get injured unless it will let me get a much better strike in return. Injuries might heal, but they'll slow me down until they do, healing them drains my stamina, and... well, no one likes pain."
Kushiko For a few moments, Kushiko falls silent. That orb of antimatter energy eventually dissipates, evaporating like so much smoke and plumes of flame. Which is weird given it's energy and all.

"Sorry."

For what? She doesn't immediately volunteer. "Not used to it. Not used to others like this. All of this is... odd. You're not Tenno. You feel like one, but you're not. Nor Kotone. Or Alexis." Or Juno Eclipse. The control surfaces on Nova Prime's body flex slightly, resonating with nascent energy.

"It's different. I'm still not sure what to make of it."
Setsuko Kaminagi     "That's normal," Setsuko replies. "The Multiverse... the only one thing that can be said about it for certain, is that it's very different than anyone is used to. No one comes here and gets anything like they expect. Don't worry yourself much about it. I appreciate the concern, and few people in the Multiverse are offended by someone being new to it all."

She glances upward, then around; indicating the quarantine cell, and the entire ship around it. "This, all of this... we didn't have anything like it at home. The Duchy of Bran has advanced magitech, the Kingdom of Emberwood has simpler examples, but none of it was anything like 'ships that sail through space'. And none of it was built on just 'understanding how reality works'. I've gotten used to it, but there are still times I wonder at it all. It's completely beyond my understanding."
Kushiko These notions draw some silence out of the Tenno for a moment. "Sometimes, understanding isn't necessary," Kushiko muses. Granted this might be just a side element to the fact that she's been under the guidance of the Lotus for so long. "Just that it works, I suppose..."

"... it's nice, at least. Besides other Tenno, the notion of interacting with people was... not something we could entertain."

The Warframe's head cants slightly, walking a little bit to one end, lifting a synthetic-enclosed hand to the dividing wall. "One last thing... You'll likely hear Phorid talk." She taps her head. "Up here. I can't completely go into it." Not with the likelihood of being listened in on even by chance. She'd rather not.

"Not here, anyways. Please understand."
Setsuko Kaminagi     Setsuko nods. "It won't be the first entity to speak to me in such a way. And probably not the last. It never gets any less unsettling, but..." Another thin, faint smile. "My life has taught me to live with 'unsettling'. I should be fine. And if not, well... I still have my trump cards, if things get desperate." Kushiko's seen her use Zanjintou's full size in a proper fight now, but she still has one or two techniques she can fall back on. "In any case, I appreciate the visit. I'll be able to pass the time here until they let me out tonight, but..." The company helps with that. Otherwise all she has is her blade. Meditative kata can pass the time, but human(ish) contact is also nice.
Kushiko Well, that much is a relief at least. And it's true, meditative katas can only go so far before you get a little stir crazy. "Seems we all do, in different ways," Kushiko offers somewhat wryly. Then again Tenno don't really know the definition of 'holding back' so it's somewhat quaint. More accurately, while they aren't necessarily wasteful, overkill is their operating principle without so much saying.

"I can linger here for a bit, if you want. I can show you one of mine, after all. A Narta, that is, what you were doing." A kata, but it seems the Tenno had their word for it, enunciated in that Orokin-Tenno language.
Setsuko Kaminagi     "I would like that," Setsuko replies. And, so saying, seats herself in her cell seiza-style to watch, hands resting on her knees, in yet another Tenno-like display. They really are similar in some ways.
