Karian Icefang     Along the planet of Hagalaz Beta IV, Necron monoliths were setting down. Where once stood a prosperous farm planet now was a world beseiged by the unliving, and undying monsters. Their goal was unknown, and despite the planet having no real standing army, the machines pressed on. They slaughtered with little care for anything, atomizing everything to dust, and their strange gauss weaponry even destroyed the slightest form of life in that. They were there to turn this planet into a grave, a tomb world. Thanks to Yuna's arrival, they Imperium as a whole learned of the event, as did the Space wolves. Rocketing over at their quickest pace, they immidiately deployed in the last standing city. The warp gate on the planet was being used by the progressively thinking governer to evacuate his people, mainly at the behest of the Space Wolves.
"My lord, we're moving as quickly as we can. About half of the populace has been successfully evacuated, but there are reports of scarabs in the poorer sections." Said the governer. Karian nodded, and grimmaced. "Already? Damn...We need to redouble the efforts." He then looked up and cursed in his native language. "Allfather...we need a miracle..."
Yang Xiao Long     Necrons? Well whatever those are, they didn't sound good. Besides, Yuna's a friend of hers, so of course the Blonde Bombshell's going to turn up. She roars out of the gate between waves of people evacuating on Bumblebee, cresting a jump to clear the throng, before slamming the wheels back onto asphalt and tearing off towards the front lines.

"This is Yang to whoever's in charge. Tell me where you need me and I'll get there ASAP." she radios in over her Scroll, embedded into her bike frame to act as a navigation computer and to remotely control the vehicle. "I'm currently on... Fifth and Throne, heading eastbound."
Yuna Kagurazaka It was really pure luck that Yuna happened to be in this sector; she had a live appearance coming up in one of Hagalaz Beta's neighboring systems, and she dropped back out of FTL in this system to do some extra looking around the area, get her bearings, see if there was anything worth taking particular note of.

To be fair, a Necron fleet *is* 'worth taking particular note of,' but not the kind that Yuna was looking for.

She still has a stomach full of butterflies as Elner guides the Mike-maru-go down at the spaceport - well within that last city standing, but if the all-devouring cyberzombies aren't stopped (either 'driven off' or 'obliterated'), nothing is going to be safe anywhere on this planet. "Right," Yuna says as the cruiser's hatch seals behind her, leaving her and the Matrix of Light standing on the spaceport tarmac. "Jiina, Powered Form; Erina, Marina, lend firepower or other support wherever it'll be most useful. Elner, you're on overwatch and communications support as usual, let everyone know if there's a crisis point not being tended to."

After Jiina combines with Yuna's Light Suit, Yuna powers up the hoverthrusters, gets a direction from Elner, and races off to assist the Space Wolves wherever she can be most useful. Helping to try and secure one of the poorer parts of the city may be in order; she technically has bigger guns at her disposal than the weaponry of Powered Form, but they come with a giant robot, and the Necrons aren't THAT big.

... At least, Yuna hopes there aren't any giant-robot-scale Necrons around. Taking out one of those monolith-ships might call for El-Line, though.
Cirra Constantine     And on the back of Bumblebee is an armor clad woman, hanging on tight as Yang manuvers the motorcycle around the fleeing civilians. The platemail armored woman puts one foot down as the her ride comes to a stop.

"I'd ask where you learned to drive, but I feel like the answer would be rather groan worthy."

"We need to find a choke point, bottle them up there and creat a kill zone."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa had considerd Karian Icefang someonewho was worth helping and she knew enough about his sector of the multiverse to know what was there? Had to remained bottled upSo here she was, and she'd brought her drones for all the good it would do, she needs to get some serious weaponized ones and she knows this now. She'll get on the VOX net and reply.

<<Samsara here understood moving to Heroes square I'm picking up signals from all over the place where do you need me?>>
Karian Icefang     The necrons seem undeterred by the arriving heroes. They continue their advance. But the most haunting thing about them is the silence. As they draw in, their visage can be seen. Steely metal wreathed in green energy, with almost skeletal designs. They truely looked like an army of the dead. Above them could be seen the tell-tale structure of a Monolith, moving towards the city. Guardsmen tried to fight off the warriors, but their gauss weaponry showed it's horrible power as with one strike, it both drew guardsmen forward, and equally shredded their molecular bonds. Behind the line of Warriors were the Immortals. Heavier in armor and body, and wielding Gauss blasters, they targetted turret emplacements and buildings. Behind that was what looked like the grim reaper itself, a Necron Lord.
Karian held his ground, even as some guardsmen broke and ran. At the sight of yuna, and hearing the others, the wolf lord let out a sigh. "Beware the necrons guns, they are deadly. I don't know their purpose here, but they can not take the city. Worse yet, there are rumors of Scarab units in the poor sections. We need to clear them out...and keep an eye on that Monolith. If we destroy that, or the lord, the necron forces should shut down."
Yang Xiao Long     Yang turns to look at her companion, smirking a bit. "Good plan, I like that plan, lets do that." she replies, then grins brightly. "C'mon, my jokes aren't /that/ bad, are they?" she enquires, before setting up to head out again. "Hang on tight princess, this'll get a bit rough!" like it wasn't already!? "This is Yang, gonna try and cut around the front to get at the big guy in back. I'll drop Cirra off to disrupt their firing line." She guns the Dust Engine in her bike, and tears off through the city streets, aiming to get past the front line of the Necron forces, slowing down only enough for Cirra to combat dismount before gunning it again. Her target's the Necron Lord... and she doesn't look like she's about to stop as she pulls a wheelie to slam the entire bike's weight into the metal monstrosity.

Bumblebee is /not/ a light vehicle, but it's not a car either... it's just enough to let the blonde brawler get clear, get her bike helmet off and her gauntlets deployed. "C'mon ugly! I've seen Grimm more lovable than you!"
Cirra Constantine     "I'm not a princess-" Cirra starts to protest Yang as Bumblebee peels off and the Judge clings tightly to the back of the motorcycle's seat. "It was rough when you jumped a fruit cart to enter the warp gate." She begins as she pulls up her legs as they weave through the attackers. "This is combat."

The Judge then back flips off the speeding motorcycle. Uncurling in mid air as she comes down, forming a Law Card in her hand, and her Judge Blade in the other, and stabbing ti through the card in mid air.

When she hits the ground, she slams the card and sword down and drags a line across the street as she slides. "The. Briar!" And twiting tendrils of crystals form out of the ground, completely with thorns to entrap the advancing Warriors.

Then the sword quickly transforms into a railgun-like rifle, firing exlosive crystal shards into the enemy ranks. "Combat is as rough as you make it."
Yuna Kagurazaka If the Necrons aren't unnerved by the arriving heroes, that puts them one up on Yuna in particular. She knows that the Necrons are basically robot drones (and as close to zombies as robots can get, at that), so she has no real compunctions about fighting them - which should be readily demonstrated by what happens as soon as she reaches the front lines.

Specifically, Yuna comes to a full stop, digging Powered Form's heels into the ground beneath her, and she braces herself as thoroughly as she can while the lenses set into the exo-arms' shoulders open up. Behind those lenses are mechanical bits, already starting to crackle with energy as Yuna gathers herself, making sure - ABSOLUTELY sure - that none of her allies are within her field of fire. "Here we go ... ! *FIRE!!*"

And the beam cannons go off - twin torrents of crackling, radiant power, ripping forth to slam into every Necron soldier or scarab in front of her, and for several dozen meters ahead of her before the beam cannons' blast peters out.

Meanwhile, Elner has gotten another task, and while Erina and Marina contribute their firepower - pulse blasters and minitorpedoes, respectively, shredding smaller clusters of Necrons who threaten to advance further into the city - Elner continues scanning, trying to pierce the interference given off by the Necrons and scan deeper beneath the planet's surface. Karian was worried about something specific, and while El-Line may be necessary to take out the Monolith, Elner's own sensors won't be as useful after the combination to bring the Matrix Figure into combat. So the scanning has to happen now, and Yuna and her partners have to help hold the line in the meantime.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa was already making to move she knew they didn't have long ans she'd just got out of the gate she can't fault the Guard for running. hell she wants to run, she really does want to run very badly. Kotone's weapons do open up as she's moving in there's no real srelath this time but the gauss weapons what kinda sadists make these things? She doesn't want to know how the necrons think just from their primary weapon she'll open fire where she can onthe Necons but there's just so many of them...
Karian Icefang     The worst was confirmed by Elner's scans. The Necrons had come to awaken their brethren under the very lands the heroes fought on. However, that also gave the heroes targets. They knew that they needed to take out the lord and the monolith. Speaking of, yuna's beams cut down scarabs and warriors alike. The Immortals fire at her, but her status as an elite makes the blasters and gauss weaponry hurt alot, but not strip her atoms. Cirra's rifle shots implant right into the chestplates of her warriors, dropping them to the ground soundly. Yang's bike gets the lord's attention. He stares at her, his gaze cold and intimidating. He whips his staff around and uses the bladed edge in combat. Karian and his wolves take the offensive at last, leaving the lines to the waivering guardsmen. But they found resolve to hold somehow. The space Wolves slice and shoot into the machine horde, sending them to the ground. Karian's blade flashes with anger and speed, but that's when the necrons play their deadliest card.
Every single warrior and immortal that had fallen suddenly spasms. Some that had fallen to the ground pull themselves back up, severed torso's and legs crawl back together and reassemble. Even the one's with the diamonds in them get back up, and resume their attack.
Yang Xiao Long     Yang grins as she gets the Lord's attention. Her own expression is wild, unbridled. This is where she thrives, in the heat of battle. As the Lord turns that bladed staff on her, the blonde bombshell ducks and pushes in under the swing, aiming a flurry of punches into the Lord's central torso, each one punctuated by a shotgun blast of kinetic force.
Cirra Constantine     Although the exploding crystals do their job initially, when the mechanical menaces begin to repair themselves in front of her eyes, Cirra's estimation of this battle quickly changes. If these things can be put down permenantly, then it must require specific components to be hit and destroyed.

As Necrons attempt to push through her barrier of vines and thorns, Cirra changes her rifle back into it's crystal like sword form and moves in to close range while the Necrons are still delayed.

Cirra swings her sword, slashes, thrusts and basically attempts to make holes in as wide a range of Necron parts as possible.

"If the Gaurdsmen would be so kind as to /fight to win/ and lay fire support thiry feet ahead of me, I wouldn't consider them cowards."
Yuna Kagurazaka And this is the OTHER reason why Yuna went with Powered Form: not only does it live up to its name offensively, it's also the tankiest mode she has in terms of defensive strength. Which is a very good thing, because even if she'd thought to invoke her kite shield, Shugoseiheki, the Necrons who are shooting back at her are spread out far enough that she'd be taking fire that the shield couldn't be positioned to block all of. The immediate result is a number of bright, crackling flares from the Light Suit's defensive aura as it labors to protect Yuna from injury and her armor from unnecessary damage; if any of the gauss weaponry is getting through that protective field now, it isn't doing a lot more than stripping paint - but even taking the blasts on her defensive aura takes its toll on Yuna, spiritually and physically. She may not be getting injured (yet) but those blasts still feel like they hurt.

So when Elner finishes scanning, Yuna is ready to lay down cover fire and pull back from the front line. Erina and Marina break from combat as well, flying to Yuna's position, and Elner doesn't bother with teleporting - the tiny robo-faerie just flits above the battlefield before descending to join the three other figures ... or rather, four figures, when Jiina separates from Yuna once more.

That leaves the idol singer turned warrior a little woozy-looking, but she sucks in a deep breath before calling out in a clear, strong voice:

            "LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT *UP*!!! EL-LINE!!"

And in response to Yuna's shout, a pillar of light erupts around her and the rest of the Matrix of Light, hiding their forms from view as they rise into the air. Moments later, the column of radiance fades out once more, revealing the gleaming form of the Matrix Figure, El-Line - already maneuvering above the battlefield on a beeline for the Necron Monolith.

Within El-Line's cockpit, Yuna takes advantage of the scant opportunity to catch her breath and muster her inner reserves; she doesn't know what it'll take to destroy the Monolith's core, but even that brief fight with the Necrons on foot has left her feeling it. She hasn't totally recovered from the recent incident at the Vale docks, either, although she got off more lightly from that than she might have. "Elner, what's our best assault going to be to take that thing out ... ?"

/Already analyzing,/ the robo-faerie reports from a side monitor.
Kotone Yamakawa There are N#reocns all over the lace and they are not stopping. Kotone is also starting to get something odd on her hudd, staticing out and odd runes appearing she pauses nod liking this. There's no real sign of being hacked but she turns off her wireless systems entirely and hopes to keep them out but there's also something odd as some of the fallen necrons get back up and that's when Kotone is staring to lob plasma grenades into the mix.
Karian Icefang     The necrons fall, and this time they stay down. It appeared to be a scientific thing indeed. The truth was that on occasion, a necron system can restart and repair itself. But on a mass scale, it doesn't happen to every chassis. Slowly, the line thins, and the path to the Lord opens up. The kinetic force from Yang sends it up, denting the armor. It twists it's head and swings harshly at Yang, and moves to get distance. He then changes over to the blaster end of the staff, and fires.
Karian and his wolves charge through the necron warriors and immortals, slashing at them. "KILL THE LORD!" HE shouts.
Cirra Constantine     With the discovery that the Necrons can be permenantly defeated with enough repeated stabbings, Cirra calls into the Gaurdsmen to forsake precsion and just use whatever explosives they have. Kill them in a firestorm of artillery.

When the Space Wolves charge through the lines, Cirra follows in their tracks, swinging her crystal sword as Necrons attempt to fill in the Astartes wake on way to the Necron Lord.

"The Machinations of dead machines won't be overlooked by Ramuh!"

The Judge uses an Imortal as a spring board and comes down at the Lord, bringing her sword down as she flips forward, once, twice, three times she summer saults in the air to slash her blade before landing on both feet.
Yuna Kagurazaka One of the advantages of bringing El-Line into the fray is that instead of wading through the Necron forces, Yuna can fly over most of the battle. On the downside, the Matrix Figure is a BIG target by comparison, and while its defenses are comparable to Yuna's own when she's on foot (scaled up somewhat, of course), too many of those gauss blasts *will* start shredding through even El-Line's armor - giving Yuna an excellent reason not to waste any additional time getting to the Monolith and doing what she can to wreck it.

Of course, to do THAT, she has to get through the Monolith's own defenses - including, she fully expects, its *own* gauss cannons, which are probably on the scale of anti-capital-ship weapons.

"SHUGOSEIHEKI!!" Yuna calls out, summoning her kite shield - now scaled up for the Matrix Figure. Hopefully that'll give her some extra protection while she's closing the distance to the Monolith, but it's only going to protect her in one direction - and she's going to be using it for defense against the Monolith's blasts. And once El-Line is close enough ...

"LIGHTNING SWORD!!!"

If there's one thing Yuna's picked up, it's that most spaceships aren't properly equipped for 'melee defense'. The latter invocation, combined with El-Line stretching its right hand out in front of it, prompts a crackling flare of light before a giant sword materializes in the Matrix Figure's grasp - and no sooner is the Lightning Sword fully manifested than Yuna shouts a wordless battlecry, channeling as much power as she can spare through El-Line and into its sword, and bringing the blade *slashing* down at the Monolith's hull. If it takes more than a single slash, then she just keeps cutting and stabbing, but there's a key power core somewhere in there ... Elner's got what she hopes is a decent reading on where it is, so it's just a matter of time and determination.

Plus hoping the Necrons don't manage to punch through her defenses before she finishes carving her own way through theirs. In the back of her head, Yuna is hoping that the others manage to bring the Overlord down first - because every extra slash it takes *her* is a precious moment in which the Necrons can keep killing any innocents in their path ...
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is making sure to also shoot the fallen ones a second time after they go down to make sure they are down. She's not sure what's going on is. She keeps moving ad the lord ius spotted Kotone is laying down fire now, but it's mostly to keep the attention ghough she may be a bit more crazy than some Guard are now? She'd have been running screaming a few years back it's funny how things change and she just empties several clips at the lord never letting up and using her body's agility as hard as it can go.
