Nagato     It's the afternoon at Hikari Seaport today, the Admiral standing upon the docks leading to the 'Civilian' vessel entry way, or in this case where Akitsumaru will be shuffling everyone. Three other women are waiting there next to her for the landing craft to arrive. Speaking of...

Akitsumaru's at the meeting point, the pale skinned, grey attire wearing woman stands waiting eagerly... or solemly... it's hard to tell... at the gate leading towards the ocean to the Seaport. And when all arrive, "Greetings, sirs. I'm Akitsu Maru, sirs. Admiral has sent me to retrieve you in the Daihatsu, sirs. Please, board quickly and safely, the waters are clear." And as soon as all are on board, it's a quick trip through the gate and an even quicker meeting at the docks... a half hour in total.
Reinhardt Wilhelm     There is no METALLIC tremor when Reinhardt arrives, but the German man does provide a striking figure as he approaches Akitsu Maru, sporting a tight t-shirt clinging to his muscular torso, jeans, and hiking boots. That, and his GLORIOUS BEARD and mustache that makes him look like if a Lion decided to become a Prussian General. A HUGE one, at that. "A pleasure, Fraulein Akitsu." He smiles down at the young lady, wasting no time in boarding the ship. His steps are gentle and careful, hoping he doesn't capsize the vessel. With him is Brigitte, a tall yet young teenaged girl with freckles, brunette hair, and lightly dressed for the sunny weather. who just stares wide-eyed at the seaport at large. "Wow...it's beautiful out here, like the Baltic coast." She muses quietly, as the giant German nods in reply. "Aye, Brigitte. That, or Gibraltar. I didn't get this tan for nothing, after all!" He laughs heartily, helping Brigitte aboard.
Guest Tracer     Tracer was stationed at Watchpoint Gibraltar, but the port there was small. Just enough to keep the facility supplied, and move personnel to and from the mainland. So, that's about the extent of her seeing a legitimate naval base and port. So, the sheer size and scale is definitely impressive, for her. In fact, she's practically pressed against the glass of the window of the Daihatsu, as it makes its way to the docks! "Oooh!"
Yuna Kagurazaka Since Yuna knows Genji, at least, she's chosen to be out there with Akitsumaru, and she waves cheerfully to the Overwatchers as they approach. "Hi all! I'm Yuna Kagurazaka, I think we spoke on the radio when Genji was joining up. It's good to meet you in person, Reinhardt, and ..."

She smiles sheepishly at Tracer, rubbing the back of her head. "Ah. I apologize, but I seem to be drawing a blank on your name ... ?"

She'll help the passengers get settled - and is trying not to get intimidated by how huge Reinhardt *is*, even outside of his armor; she doesn't seem nearly as uncomfortable about Tracer. ... Well, she's not 'uncomfortable' about Reinhardt, either, just wrapping her head around how massive he is. Do humans come that big?
Rebecca Chambers Rebecca's performing some extra duties here at the Hikari Seaport. When she's not busy with duties as a B.O.W. specialist or bio-research, she likes to help out elsewhere whenever she can. In this case, though, she's also out with Akitsumaru, wanting to help with the welcoming session and helping the passengers get settled in. A polite smile is on her face as she greets everyone.

"Welcome! I'm Rebecca Chambers, and we're glad that you could make it!" She smiles a little more and tilts her head to the side. "Please make yourselves comfortable and we should be there in no time!"
Kongou     There aren't many large vessels at the docks, but there is one of specific note, with a tall and distinctive pagoda mast and four large caliber gun turrets. As the announcement of visitors rumbles through the base, a pillar of black smoke belches from the twin smokestacks, as engines fire up. The guns elevate and rotate, swinging out to sea in the direction opposite the incoming Daihatsu transport.

"Allow me to welcome you to our harbor!" a voice calls out over the ship's PA, "How about an <Eight Gun Salute~?>"

It's not a complete broadside, but rather each of the warship's main battery guns fire one at a time, a steady staccato of blasts from the A turret back to the Z turret, surrounding the vessel's port side in a plume of burned cordite smoke.

After the 8th shot, the guns lower. In the distance, enormous flares pop to life, floating down on parachutes-- Star shells. Like they'd use live artillery for this kind of greeting.
Nagato     Arriving into the docks isn't too much of a thrill... at least until Kongou's turrets go off. Three of the four women standing there are shaking their heads with fingers on their forehead. THe fourth is trying not to break out into laughter... and failing slightly. As people start disembarking, the four bow towards the guests, "Welcome to Hikari Seaport, we are pleased to have you." their tone is formal and professional, treating them like the special guests they are.

Akitsumaru gives a slight bow to Nagato and soon dissapears, leaving the Daihatsu there and soon the four lift themselves up. Nagato steps forward, "Welcome, I'm Admiral Nagato. To my side is my sister ship Mutsu, my second in command Musashi and her sister ship Yamato. You've already met my transport ship, Akitsumaru and two of my allies, Kagurazaka and Chambers. We welcome you to the base. If you'll step this way, we can begin the tour proper."

Nagato pauses just a moment as Musashi speaks up, "Wasn't there another in the group, Admiral?"
Genji Shimada     There was no ninja on the docks. There has been no extra passenger the entire time the Daihatsu has been traveling. And yet, shortly after Reinhardt has exited the little ferry to step out onto the dock, a familiar voice speaks up from behind Reinhardt. "All present and accounted for."

There Genji stands, with his back to the towering German's, arms crossed and feet together. "And I might add that you have a beautiful view of the sea and the mainland shores from here. You are fortunate."
Guest Tracer     Tracer waves to Yuna and Rebecca, "Name's Tracer!" She points at Reinhardt, "We're old pals. And-- blimey!" She's a bit shocked by the sudden firing of /huge naval guns/. That's pretty damn loud!

She's quick to cover her ears, and shakes her head a bit, afterwards. "Oi, a little warning next time, love?" She remarks to Kongou, before stepping off and onto the dock. She waves again, to Nagato and company. "Lovely to meet you all!"
Reinhardt Wilhelm     Reinhardt grins at Tracer, watching the Briton ooh and ah with amusement. Brigitte beams and offers out a hand to-

Is that cannon fire? Reinhardt grunts, wincing in pain as well. His eardrums have been replaced many times by now, thanks to futuristic medical science (and Mercy!), but he can't help but hear a soft ringing briefly. "NNgh, never going to get used to that. Now I wish I had my helmet with me..." Brigitte winces as well, "You got it easy, big guy." SHe grumps.

In any case, handshakes and hellos are dished out, as Reinhardt and Brigitte greet Nagato and such. "A pleasure, thank you for inviting us to this island for the day!" Reinhardt says, grinning big, before she shakes Genji off of his back. ANy surprise he might have at Genji's antics have faded long ago, he's more than used to the cyber-ninja's silliness.
Rebecca Chambers "Nice to meet you Tracer!" Rebecca says with a smile. She salutes and says, "Glad to see you come by--" She abruptly covers her ears as the naval guns are fired. She ducks down a littlea nd covers her ears. Once the firing is done, Rebecca stands up and opens her eyes again. "Oh my, that was truly loud." She covers her mouth briefly then says, "Way to state the obvious." She looks to Tracer again and says, "At any rate, nice to meet you and I look forward to working with you hopefully! As does the rest of the fleet I'm sure!"
Yuna Kagurazaka It's hard to tell what makes Yuna jump harder: Kongou's salute, or the SUDDENLY NINJA whom even Elner hadn't noticed until *just now*. "Ah ... hey Genji," Yuna grins sheepishly, catching her breath from the squeak of surprise she may have given voice to. "I should probably introduce myself more formally ..."

The blonde draws herself to her full (if not that impressive) height and a reasonable semblance of 'attention,' then bows formally to the Overwatchers. "I assist the kanmusu of Hikari Port as the Special Light Cruiser Kagurazaka. But if you're more comfortable calling me Yuna, please feel free to do so. I've got a lot of friends here at Hikari," she continues, starting to relax from 'at attention,' "and I've been happy to assist them in a number of battles."

She pauses, glancing briefly at Nagato as though trying to remember if she needed to say anything else ...
Nagato     Nagato shakes her head with Tracer's comment. "That would be the lead ship of the Kongou-class sisters. Kongou. She's a good girl, if a bit excitable." she comments a bit, "Tracer, Reinhardt.." a pause, "Sudden ninja." a pause and then a nod as he speaks. "A beautiful sea and mainland improves morale. And is good to see. I will assume you are Genji, correct? Beautiful calligraphy if I may add." Nagato gives a slight bow and she looks to all present.

"Chambers has it right, we look forward to working with you all, as such the naval base is open for you and yours at your leisure." she does accept the handshake, as do the other three, "Now, where shall we begin our tour and please, we are open to questions as you wish to ask them, there shall be nothing left unanswered."
Kongou     Some time after the rumble (and the ringing) of gunfire dissipates, the great warship floating at anchor in the port begins to glitter, silvery-white in color. The mass compresses itself down, water rushing in as a result and splashing up over the pier. On the waves, a certain brunette in a white outfit skims across the surface until she reaches the seawall. A few moments on the ladder and she's at the same level as the arriving group and the Flagships, her rigging fading away in a stream of silvery particles.

"How was it? <Exciting?>" A hand raises and she provides a two-fingered salute, "As the Flagship says! Leader of the Kongou class fast battleship sisters! Born in England and raised in Japan, my name is Kongou!"
Reinhardt Wilhelm     "One question." Reinhardt posits, "You use battleship classifications, yet you yourselves appear to be no older than Tracer at the most!" He points to Tracer pointedly, while Brigitte is just blown away by Genji's entrance. "Wh-where was he hiding all this time?" "He is a ninja, remember." "Oh."

Clearing his throat, Reinhardt continues. "Anyway, what exactly /are/ you by chance?" He wonders, before suddenly Kongou. "I assume you are the one who fired off the volley, yes? Quite impressive, if sudden."
Genji Shimada     "Genji Shimada, yes," the ninja replies, both to Nagato and to the rest of the group. "Agent of Overwatch. Hello," he adds, with a nod to Yuna. Much of his attention is for Nagato and the other shipgirls, however - especially Kongou, when the English battleship approaches. "I was certainly not expecting it," he replies. "But then, much of this is interesting to me. World War 2 was a hundred years before I was born. And to meet the spirits of its ships, embodied in girls I can speak with face-to-face..." Someone's been reading dossiers. "It is interesting, to say the least."

The ninja turns his head, enough so as to make it clear he's looking at Brigitte. Something about the cant of his head almost suggests amusement.
Nagato     "Ara?" comes Mutsu, taking a look towards Genji. "Someone is quick on the uptake. And yes, we hear the word 'interesting' quite a bit when it comes to who and what we are." she turns towards Nagato and smiles, "Right, sister?" Mutsu giggles slightly as she leans upon Nagato as Yamato steps forth. "First of the Yamato-class Battleships. Yamato." she formally bows and gets back up, "Genji is correct. We're the spirits of old vessels, which is why we're named as such. And we're not all from Japan either. We do have Graf Zepplen from the land of beer and Libeciio from the land of pasta, too!"

Yamato steps back as Musashi makes her presence known even further. "Second of the Yamato-class. Musashi. A pleasure." Musashi soon starts eyeing up Reinhardt's size, a faint-but-obvious-to-him grin is given. "Accents are Germanic, English and Japanese, am I correct? You three will find a semblence of home here with some of our ships."

Nagato turns to look at Brigitte and gives a brief, half second smile before turning up to everyone, "Shall I take you to our launch bays?" she questions, "I am about to have an expedition set out about this time, you can watch them as they head out."
Reinhardt Wilhelm     Reinhardt brightens considerably, not to say he wasn't enjoying this already. "Oh? I will have to meet this Graf Zeppelin later then! It warms my heart to know another German is about as always." He laughs happily, before nodding. The spirit thing makes some sense, though Genji seems to know more about this than Reinhardt can ever claim to.
Yuna Kagurazaka "Hey, Kongou!" Yuna smiles, waving to the fast battleship. She seems to have recovered from the surprise of Genji's appearance. Rather than a wave, Yamato gets a polite bow - there's just something about her that makes the formality seem appropriate.

Other than that, she seems content to continue along with the group, wherever Nagato deems it appropriate to show the visitors. It's a good chance to get to know the trio, and maybe there'll be something she can help with more directly on behalf of Hikari.
Rebecca Chambers Instead of waving, Rebecca renders a formal military salute. She, too, feels the need for formality here, and this is how she chooses to show it. After that, she tags along with the rest of the group, not only because she's doing her duty, but also because she wants to get to know these newcomers better as well. She especially likes Tracer and seems really attracted to her unique attire and way of speaking. "So, uh, Tracer, was it? How long have you been a member of the Union?"
Kongou     Kongou tips her salute, "Enjoy your visit! I have some matters to tend to, but if you ever need firepower, <Count On Kongou!>" With that, while Nagato and the Overwatchers go in one direction, the peppy battleship goes in another, across the base towards the restaurant-styled galley, Mamiya's.

On the way to the deployment bay is the naval arsenal, and from that building emerges a formless black shadow shot through with irregular white slashes. This menacing figure pauses, glancing towards the Overwatch crew with a single visible eye, then towards the collection of battleships, "--Oi, Nagato. Was that tour today?" Single eye closing, Kiso laughs, "Man! I forgot all about it! Look at me in my sortie cape when you've got company over."

To be fair, the cruiser's 'sortie cape' is all kinds of tattered. Does she have one in better condition for special occasions? All signs point to 'no'. "Oi, Kagurazaka. Good work on the last operation," she turns towards the largest of the group-- Reinhardt, "An' you guys must be with Overwatch, yeah? Kiso. Kuma class, torpedo cruiser. What's on the itinerary, fellas?"
Genji Shimada     "Yamato..." That introduction, more than any other, draws Genji's attention. "Now there is a name still spoken even in my time." He turns finally to face Yamato and Musashi both, and offers them a deep bow, right fist pressed into left palm. "It is an honor to meet the both of you." Standing up straight again, the ninja turns to look out over the water, then back to Nagato, and nods. "I would like to see that, Admiral. I am curious about how you all..." He fishes for a way to phrase it. Function? Operate? "...do what you do." Nice save. "Genji Shimada," he adds in response to Kiso. "Apparently, we're here to see a launch."
Guest Tracer     Tracer doesn't really have any sort of uh. Knowledge, when it comes to World War 2 era ships. Japanese, or otherwise. It seems like Genji knows a thing or two, and Reinhardt seems to, as well. She just shrugs, waves hello, and does the friendly thing. "Hiya! Lovely to meet you all!" She shrugs at Rebecca, "Er, I dunno. Week, maybe? Ah, honestly, I'd have to look. Might've been something on that message board about it."
Nagato     When Genji bows towards the two Yamato-class ships, the two both bow in return once more to Genji, "It is an honor to meet you as well. I do hope they use those names with respect." Yamato comments, giving a bright smile towards Genji. Musashi smirks at this, "It's good to see your formality, Genji."

Over the PA system on the base comes another lady-like voice. "Kagurazaka, Zuihou, Akizuki, Hayashimo. You are requested in the launch bay. I repeat, you are requested in the launch bay."

Nagato gives a look towards Kagurazaka and a light pat, a knowing look is exchanged before Kongou is given a goodbye wave by Mutsu and the others and a quick look is given to the shadow and white slashes. "Kiso." she replies flatly towards her. "It is, Kiso. These are our allies from Overwatch and the Union." as she turns towards everyone else. "Kiso here has been part of my right hand since I surfaced from my abyssal trip. One of the most loyal members of my fleet." she nods, "And a tomboy." a bit of friendly ribbing is natural, right?

Nagato turns towards Tracer and nods, "It's always lovely to meet allies. I'm glad you three were able to come." a turn towards Genji and she nods, "You'll find out shortly. That call was for an expedition I had planned. Kagurazaka's not part of it, but I wish to show you the load out." and with that, she sends Yuna on her way.

"Ooyodo, they are cleared for launch."
Kongou     "Well someone's gotta be a man around here," Kiso remarks when Nagato calls her a tomboy, "Have you seen this place?" The grin on her scarred face shows the nature of her ribbing, though her attention is drawn up to the sky as names are announced over the PA, "Light cruiser, light carrier, an' two destroyers, eh? What's the mission?"

The Arsenal's seaward doors ratchet open, pulled by huge chains. First to emerge, skating across the surface of the harbor, is Akizuki, a teenaged girl by any description, in a fairly ordinary outfit reminiscent of a school uniform. What sets her apart is the mass of steel fitted to her back, forming arms around either side with gun turrets mounted at hip level. There's also the obvious shape of a five-tube torpedo launcher set to her back-- those must be as long as her arm.

Also, perhaps offputting, her turrets swing around to glance towards the Overwatch crew. Tracer in particular gets a wave from the starboard side one, which hops right up out of its mount and waggles a paw-like flipper at her.

Next up is a less ornate pair. Following Akizuki is a more slight-built girl with long, raven-colored hair in a straight cut. Fitted to her back is a more respectably sleek superstructure, mostly taken up by a smokestack. Her torpedoes are smaller, but she has two of them, fitted to her legs. Mercifully her gun turret is a hand-held affair and does not appear to be alive.

Bringing up the rear of the trio is an equally small girl in a green outfit that Genji, at least, should recognize. Because Zuihou's outfit is heavily based on traditional Kyuudo garb, worn similarly by the other member of the Shimada clan. Her fitting is camouflaged, covered with bars in varying shades of green and white, fitted to the small of her back and her hips. Unmistakable is the flight deck fitted to her left arm like a shield, and the yumi bow she carries in her right hand. Zuihou herself turns at the waist and waves to shore as well, before she takes up the tail end of the line formation headed out to sea, three girls skating across the waves like dancers crossing ice.
Yuna Kagurazaka With Kagurazaka being called upon to deploy alongside the expedition, Yuna straightens her uniform a little (not that she really needed to) and joins the kanmusu on the 'ready line,' taking the slot left open for her by Akizuki, Zuihou, and Hayashimo. Yuna is keeping her ears perked for mission details as well; she might have to head out as well, for all she knows ...
Genji Shimada     It is in polite silence that Genji watches the launch, waiting with arms crossed and feet together - as one would expect of a shinobi. The blank faceplate he wears makes it impossible to discern any reaction from facial expression, and his poise masks his body language as well; yet, even with this discipline, there are certain subtle hints one might discern. Like the way he regards each girl with curiosity... and especially Zuihou, whose style of dress has the ninja's attention.

"I can certainly say that I've never seen anything quite like this," Genji says after a while, watching the girls launch out onto the water. "Overwatch would have loved to have technology similar to this. It would have made maritime missions a lot easier. And all the more interesting, given the nature of the girls doing the sailing."
Kongou     "Eh," Kiso says with a shrug, single eye closed, "Th' technology's existed fer ages. In this world, th' stuff we're packin' has been around fer seventy years 'r more. It's nothin' new. Heck," Eye opening, she gestures towards Genji directly, "Armor suit like that's way higher tech'n anythin' they're carryin'." Turning towards the sea, the cruiser girl props a hand on her hip, the other hanging loose at her side, obscured by her shoulder cape, "Though I'm guessin' what you mean is that stuff bein' carried around by girls like us. So I'll advise ya keep in mind-- no matter what we look like, every single one of us is a ship of war. So carryin' guns an' torpedoes is nothin' for us. We've alway done it." Eye closing again, she grins, "An' most of us died carryin' 'em, too. You could say we're ghosts, I guess. Just doin' what we've always done, just in new ways."

Eye opening towards Genji, she adds, "You seem like th' sort who's well aware of old dogs learnin' new tricks."
Reinhardt Wilhelm     "He wouldn't be the only one." Reinhardt winks to Kiso playfully, giving Genji a firm clap on the shoulder that would make a lesser man bowl over. Thankfully, Genji's a cyborg with top-quality chassis work and armor plating twice as strong as early 21st century steel plate. He watches the girls out at sea, cocking an eyebrow at Zuihou's garb.

He cups a hand over his brow to block out the sun, before BRigitte helpfully hands him some shades. "Ah, thank you." "No problem!" She grins, before she goes back to watching. "Man, this stuff is so cool...I wonder if Overwatch had any nautical types back in the day."

Reinhardt chuckles, "I only wish, it would be quite a sight."
Nagato     "All of them except Kagurazaka, we've trained her... and a few others... with some modified equipment." she adds onto Kiso's remark about the 'ships of war' comment. "She is, however, right. But it's a past that we try not to dwell on, looking towards the future and how we can kepe the seas safe from the Abyssal ships that darken the waters black with their presence." Nagato turns to look towards the sailing girls, "We do wish for a peaceful sea, in much the way you probably wish for a peaceful world."

Nagato chuckles with Mutsu and Yamato looking from behind. "To continue the tour, we would be passing through the launch bay to the barracks and the airfield." she comments, "The launch bay is a specialized area where most of our armory is stored, the equippable parts that is." she can remember back when Kagurazaka and Amakasu was first introduced to actually launching this way... and a light chuckle, audible to those around her, is given. "Did you have any questions so far as to the equipment or gear? Or any thus far about anything?" she queries the group, turning back to look to Genji, Reinhardt, Tracer and Bridgette.
Genji Shimada     "I did say 'technology similar to this'," Genji replies, with a note of amusement in his voice. "Being able to skim the waves while packing heavy firepower would have been extremely useful on a few of the missions we did. Do you remember the Tokyo Bay raid on the Shimada shipping warehouse?" he adds, turning to look Reinhardt's way. "I probably wouldn't have needed to hang on to that boat for dear life." The clap on the shoulder still causes Genji to buckle just a little, but he quickly stands up straight again.

On the topic of the past, Genji is quiet for a few moments, before saying, "There are always regrets to be had. So long as you have learned from the mistakes that were made, and seek to make things right, you should not hold your past against yourself." At last, the shinobi's arms unfold, and he shifts his weight, indicating his readiness to continue along with the group. "None in particular. This has been fascinating so far."
Rebecca Chambers Observing the launch, Rebecca stands at attention and watches with a neutral look as the launch occurs. It's just like being in the actual Navy for Rebecca herself. Once the launch has finished, Rebecca listens in to what is being said, and then speaks up when there is a free moment. "I, myself, am also being trained with the rest of the fleet." She speaks in a firm, neutral tone of voice. "It is very unique to say the least, and it's taught me some skills that I never thought I would need but are turning out to be totally useful all the same."
Reinhardt Wilhelm     Reinhardt nods. "Naturally. I would've appreciated having some sort of aquatic support then as well. They were well prepared for uninvited guests, as I recall." he says with some fondness, like remembering an old beer run with university mates. Brigitte nudges Reinhardt, "You never mentioned anything like that, didn't end up falling into the water, did you?" She teases.

He nods in agreement with Genji's words, trying to avoid the less than pleasant part of old memories with the gang, busting heads for JUSTICE! "You have matured much since then, I've noticed. It's quite the improvement, I would say." He grins to the robotic shinobi, like a proud uncle or something. "It is one thing to regret, but you can always improve oneself." Nagato receives a raised hand from Reinhardt, like an eager student. "How exactly do your munitions work? Are they physically loaded, or is it part of your...'magic', as it were?"
Yuna Kagurazaka While Nagato is explaining how the launch bay works, Yuna sails back in, still in her light-cruiser loadout - two turrets at each hip (one close in about waist-level, one further down and a bit further out), and a turret-like rifle hanging by its strap from her right shoulder, plus an engine 'tower' on her back, a frame of sorts mounted on her left forearm, and a couple of bits that look like a ship's prow being worn on her calves; if any of the visitors look closely, those last might be part of what lets her 'skate' on the water.

(Reference image here: http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/kancolle/images/b/b7/CL_Nagara_021_Full.png/revision/latest?cb=20150519014052 The uniform underneath is different, though.)

Not that Yuna's still 'skating' when she rejoins the group. "I'm not sure if Nagato had this in mind, but I thought some of you might like a closer look?" she says with a smile and a slight blush, 'modeling' the light-cruiser gear she's wearing. And I *think* it's solid munitions," she adds, looking at Reinhardt. I haven't taken that much of a look at how they're stored internally ... I'm pretty sure magic or something akin to it is involved, though."

Also faeries, but she'll let Nagato explain THAT part.
Kongou     "Eh, they're real enough," Kiso waves off the question about their artillery, "Metal casing, explosive filler, fuse, ballistics cap-- It's all there. An' there's a magazine too," She grins, "Though you'll forgive me fer not pointin' it out. Trade secrets an' all." Silver light gathers around her, throwing her cape into disarray as her black equipment materializes on her hips and thighs, shot through with irregular white camo stripes.

Like this, the cruiser girl simply reaches down and removes the contents of her thigh-mounted torpedo rack, holding the weapon out for Genji and Reinhardt to inspect, "Take 'em, I've got plenty. See fer yerself what kinda weapons we're usin' here."

It's every bit a torpedo, all right. Painted black with red warheads, counter-rotating props on the back end. The scale is off- these could pass for cigars.

"Handle 'em with care, boys. That'll blow a ship in two."
Genji Shimada     Genji's masked face turns to look at Brigitte, then to Reinhardt, and back to Brigitte again. "I am going to have to tell you some stories later, Brigitte."

To the remarks Reinhardt makes about his demeanor, though, Genji replies with a warmer tone. "Thank you. Coming from you, that means a lot." His head turns so that he can look out over the water. "I was fortunate to have such a dedicated teacher as Tekharta Zenyatta. I was not his most cooperative student, at first. But my time among the Shambali... it was exactly what I needed." That said, he turns to listen to the answer Kiso has for them, and takes a step forward to gingerly grasp and inspect the torpedo offered. "Amazing." He looks up, and gives Yuna a nod. "All of this is truly amazing."
Reinhardt Wilhelm     "The Omnic holy man? Interesting, I don't recall you mentioning anything about that before." Reinhardt mentally files this away to discuss later, as today is more about the cute ship-ladies! He cocks an eyebrow at Yuna as she returns with her own ship-gear, wondering for a moment. "I take it anybody can be equipped with this gear, then?" He wonders, taking the shell when it's his turn to hold it carefully. He spent almost forty years in the Bundeswehr, and it shows as he handles it. "Impressive, if it truly can match a full-sized round in performance."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa did over help out here and there at the fleet often doing deliveries but also helping to unload things. Given her strength she'd been helping with a few things in the launch bay, as she did often try to help out where she could as the tour arrives she watches taking sight of all former Overwatch Operatives she has experience with and number of other people. Kotone had thankfully finished up with what she'd needed to be moving.

She'll come up on the party but doesn't want to disturb anyone yet. It does look like the tour's going well she falls in with group.

"The amount of firepower and durability that their gear has is pretty darn impressive in my own experience, Genji. It's also good to see you and your comrades again as well. Humm an Omic holy man? I had no idea the Omics had any form or relgion either."

She gives Reinhardt a bit of a grin as she joines ewith the tour party.

"Sorry I was late, I was helping to unload some cargo!"
Nagato     Nagato turns to Yuna when she arrives, a mix of frowning... and acceptance is on her face at this. "Not exactly what I had in mind, Kagurazaka, but this will suffice for our purposes. "The munitions are solid shell, the fairies that help with them..." Conviently enough, three fairies pop out of Yuna's equipment and one skitters from Nagato's hair down to her shoulder. The fairies upon Yuna's gear give a salute to Nagato's fairy and suddenly everyone else. "There are some things that even Akashi and Yuubari don't know, and that's how the fairies do ammunition, but we always find ourselves with enough for a mission."

"Kagurazaka is showing off light cruiser, anti air specific equipment... and Kiso is showing off the torpedoes. All we know right now is that they work like the full sized gear that we sported when we were built." she does notice Genji's ready to go pose, and she steps back slightly. and to answer your question, Reinhardt... theoretically yes. At least with gear made for light cruisers and below. Anything higher risks overworking the fairies in them and becoming useless upon the waves. Battleship gear was too much to try, the fairies actively refused to try to do it." The Repair Goddess Fairy on Nagato's shoulder gets this very stern look and nods.

A serious look is given to Reinhardt, "The last person we tried with could not fathom how everything worked and tried to ... science... it all. Perhaps I may offer it again soon, if you were interested."
Reinhardt Wilhelm     Reinhardt nods and furrows his brow, trying to understand it. "I see...well. This makes sense, in a way!" He says, nodding as he sees the fairies come on out. "Do they speak by any chance?"

Brigitte just hides a snicker, trying not to seem too amused by how Reinhardt instantly gets this upon the mention of fairies.
Genji Shimada     "That's right," Genji replies to Reinhardt. "After I left Overwatch, I went wandering the world for a while, looking for something to give my life meaning, anything. Zenyatta found me, and when I turned him down, he was... very persistent. Eventually I gave in, and he's taught me to embrace both halves of my nature. It is... freeing." Kotone has a question of sorts, to which he has an answer. "Yes. There is a sect of Omnics back home known as the Shambali. They practice a form of Buddhism. I spent some time among them, and their monastery in Nepal is the only place I truly feel at home. They are good people."

Nagato has some more technical information for them, and to this Genji listens with much interest indeed. Especially with all those fairies around. "Perhaps some day I will give this gear a try, if it will work for me. It would be an interesting exercise."
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna smiles, waving to Kotone - although she's more careful about how she's moving now that her equipment fairies are out and about. She makes a face at Nagato recalling somebody who tried too hard to science things that didn't need sciencing.

She answers Reinhardt, "In a way? When I've got my gear on, I can 'hear' them reporting status and readiness and things like that, warning me about how much damage I'm taking, things like that. And they understand when I 'order' them to do something, too. But their voices ..."

Yuna trails off, trying to figure out how best to describe it. "I can't really describe how their voices 'sound' so much, it's - I want to call it 'some kind of telepathy' but I'm not sure if that's right or not. It works, at any rate."

The mention of 'Omnics' gets Yuna's attention, though, and she looks curiously at Genji. "How welcoming are they of visitors? I'm partly Buddhist and I try to keep an open mind with regard to other people's religions ... I don't think any single religion is the only one to grasp the truth."

That's probably a little more than she ought to say on THAT subject in the middle of something else, though, and she busies herself briefly being affectionate and appreciative to her crewfairies. She really SHOULD show her gratitude to them more often, maybe she ought to equip her gear from time to time just to check in with the fairies when she doesn't need to train or go on expeditions ...
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa listens as Nagato explains a bit more about things here to the fleet'sguest and shebobs her head a few times as he follows the converstation. She wonders how Reinhardt will fair studying the fleet's gear? Kotone hasn't tried, she accept that it works and they can produce what they need. She listens to Genji as he explains and she seems quite interested in that.

"That is quite interesting and I'll have to look up more on that. We never had so far as I know any machines or AIs my world have created to hit the points of being aware."

She also grins to Tuna now for a moment as she keeps pace with the tour group.
Nagato     With a look between Reinhardt and Genji... she gives a nod. "Of course, I can have Akashi fix up a bit more gear for you two sometime to try them." Nagato comments before moving on, "And Yuna. Your fairies appreciate you." she comments once more before moving /past/ the launch bay and towards the barracks. "Though, I do have to mention, Kagurazaka here had a hell of a time trying to wear that equipment the first time." she smirks, "Drank a lot of sea water."

Wait, Nagato with a sense of humor? Okay, who replaced the Admiral with an alien clone?!

"Perhaps I shall visit this place as well, but for now, the barracks are here, housing the entire fleet." There are multiple buildings, some taller than the others. "Destroyers are in one, cruisers in another, carriers, battleships, auxilary ships... " there's another bunk attached to the battleship one, it looks fancier. But not by much. "And command. In addition from this angle, if you turn around, you will see the radar tower where Ooyodo sits. To the right will be the factory where Akashi, and sometimes Yuubari, will be working on equipment."
Genji Shimada     Genji walks with a steady gait as they continue. "It's a good thing my body is waterproof," he decides. But they have more walking and touring to do. In regards to visiting the Shambali, the ninja adds, "It's quite a hike. But if I vouch for you, I think they would be glad to receive visitors. And they would be pleased to meet someone so open-minded," he says to Yuna in specific. The smile is almost audible in his voice. "I'll have to see about that some time."

And now there's more for the tour, so Genji falls silent. He's a very attentive pupil when he's listening, and right now Nagato has his attention! Barracks for shipgirls of varying types, a command quarter, radar tower, factory. "You seem fairly self-reliant here. That's not a bad place to be. One never knows when a stronghold will be cut off from outside supplies and forces."
Reinhardt Wilhelm     "I would be happy to visit as well, if you will allow an old friend to meet your fellow students." Reinhardt says with a bright smile. "I would be very fascinated myself, I haven't had much chance to really look into the monastery I'm afraid."

Falling silent, he remains attentive and quiet, Brigitte as well as they follow along. "Impressive, I remember bases such as these back when I was in the army. Especially Gilbraltar as well!" "He's still proud of that tan of his, he still works on it when he can." Brigitte asides, hiding a snicker.
Kongou     Kiso shrugs, eye closed, "Must'a been before I made it back from my little adventure." To Reinhardt, she nods once, "Go on an' keep it. I'm already reloadin' anyways." She gestures, and on cue, one of the emptied launchers slides a fresh torpedo into place with a ratcheting mechanical sound.

As Nagato starts pointing at other aspects of the base, the cruiser raises a hand, "Yeah, I'm gonna head out myself. I'm already sensin' trouble with a certain submarine, someone's gotta be there to bail th' squirt out when she dives too deep."

Her equipment disappears in silver sparkles as she dismisses herself from the group, hand still raised, "Just hollar if ya need me. I'll be in the harbor, probably."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa has fallen to the back of the group but seems all right with it, Genji's comment about being water proof gets a comment from Kotone.

"Lucky you it came standard I had to shell out the money so I'd not just out right sink."

Her comment was intended in good humour from the tone of her voice. She quirst up as the tour contiunes now she does take a note of Kiso need to depart shell give her a bit of a wave as she heads off. She can understand the need for that.
Nagato     "We are only partially self sufficient. Every woman here does her part." she points towards the sea as a fleet of six come in, all destroyers... small girls that barely look over thirteen... come sailing in. "Expedition fleet. Then we have some that are assigned to guard other shipments in exchange for the resources we use." she gives a brief nod, "The sailors and supply runners are grateful for our assistance." she turns back and points to four more buildings.

"That's where we store all of our resources, from oil to bauxite to steel and ammunition. It's larger than what it looks like, fortunately. And everything in there is what we use to repair ourselves, upgrade our equipment and build new gear." she briefly nods, turning to Reinhardt, "I'm not sure what this Gilbraltar is, however, I believe it sounds like a formidible stronghold." Nagato soon sweeps her hands across the way to show the shore guns lining the edge of the island. "Most of our destroyers handle these if the base is under fire. It has been assaulted twice...."
Yuna Kagurazaka "Eheheheh ... yeah, it takes some getting used to," Yuna admits, rubbing the back of her head and smiling sheepishly. "I mean, I already know how to skate, but when you're skating you've got a solid and stationary surface underneath you. The surface of the ocean - well, 'solid' isn't as much of an issue with the kanmusu gear, but it's typically anything *but* stable. Even a slight ripple can throw you off-balance, never mind the wakes that get kicked up in combat."

Still, Nagato's saying that Yuna's fairies appreciate her seems to set her somewhat more at ease. For now, Yuna just continues along with the others; she'll have to double back to the launch bay to get her equipment taken off and prepped for her next deployment, but she can do that after the tour is over.
Reinhardt Wilhelm     "I'm not sure if I'd be able to use one myself, especially if in armor." Reinhardt thinks to himself, which causes Brigitte to snicker madly over that. "I'd be amazed if you could use it WITHOUT the armor." She teases, before she looks up at the shore guns. "Wow...what's the diameter on those artillery pieces down there?"
Rebecca Chambers Meanwhile, Rebecca simply tags along, standing attentively and listening to what is being said. She has very little to say right now so she figures she'll let Nagato do the talking in general. If she has something to say, she'll speak. To be honest, some of these areas are a little new to her anyway.
Genji Shimada     "Partially self-sufficient is still better than most. You can affect repairs, and ship in what supplies you need yourselves with an armed escort. And if you've got an exchange going on with others, that's even better." Genji talks as he walks, listening and nodding slightly. "Watchpoint Gibraltar... Overwatch had a number of bases around the world for quick deployment, some bigger than others. Gibraltar was modest in size, but it had a launch pad for rocketry." Sigh. He'd love to go back there some time.

"Wave-skating," the cyborg muses, listening to Yuna's description. "It sounds like it'd go over great as a sport, don't you think?"
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa looks at the seix destroyers re coming back in. She watches themwith intrest as the tour goes on. She does however smile a little bit at Nagato.

"It's a location in Europe at least in my world. I ended up falling in with the fleet doing some cargo runs and helping support a friend whose also part of it. Funny how that goes isn't it?"
Nagato     Nagato gives a brief nod, "Perhaps, though, it would be something I would watch, not participate in, myself." she thinks a moment, the battleship looking around some before she pauses, something bugging in her radio. "Ah, if you'll excuse me... I'll give you all leave to look around and explore. Mamiya's is nearby if you're hungry and there's bunks prepared for your group as well. Pardon me."

At this point, Nagato, Musashi and Yamato start running towards the tower, "Ooyodo, I need all the info you can give me about that..."
