Sanary Rondel Another day of work, cleaning up, and... Training? Not too different from Sanary's usual routine, but after a long day of practicing in the Citadel's Field of Trials, it's time for a different type of practice! Namely, getting more used to rapier-use in ALO! Or...

It would be, if Sanary hadn't recently found out that she could sell all the stuff she's been holding onto. That's why she's in the Capital City for once, her red-haired (and slightly larger than her) avatar is meandering about, taking in the sights of different players, people speaking in odd tongues, and peddlers trying to hawk their digital wares she's too stupid to equip at this level.

Now where's the nearest junk buyer?
Tomoe Tomoe has been keeping a lower profile than one might expect her too in the multiverse. The purpled haired Salamander was just well for lack of a better term faffing about. She'd been checking out the markets, looking to see she was just heading for a shop, of all the shop, which just happens to be run by her father. She pauses though as she spies the newbie she crashed into.

"So we meet again! You looking for anything?"
Sanary Rondel Hearing a familiar voice and spotting a certain purple haired Salamander, Sanary-er. Lednor blinks slowly before raising her hand in a stiff wave. Remember, she doesn't know you're Sanary! Try and sound more nervous! SHE COULD GET HER FRIENDS TO KILL YOU AT ANY MOMENT.

Yeah, that last one did it. "H... Hi! I'm just looking for the... Uh. Somewhere to sell stuff." How's she supposed to show her inventory again? Oh, right. The weird floating menus. A tap, another tap, and.... Holy crap, just how many boar asses is this girl carrying on her? This is way more than a newbie should even be able to carry. "I'm still not used to where... Er. Everything is here, so..."
Tomoe There's no PVP in the city save for duels and the arena which you have to chose to go into. Tomoe is looking at the red head for a moment seemingly amused.

"Oh I know a place a good spot you could come in here. I know the owner he moves a lot of crafting material, so you should be able to sell it here. Come on in!"

She grins widely at Sanary and heads inside while holding the door for the newer player.
Sanary Rondel Following Tomoe into the shop, Sanary glances around slowly while trying not to bump into anything too much. Then again, would that actually do anything in this game world? She's not about to try finding out so blatantly, of course, but... WEll, she'll figure something out sooner or later.

"Thanks. Uh... What was your name again? I.. Um. I-it was kind of a mess last time, so..." Her cheeks even color a bit at recalling just how they had met last time, too. If nothing else, the technology really is amazing to be able to even mimic that sort of facial response!
Tomoe Tomoe Says "It was a mess last time." Tomoe turns bright red, she's very lucky the other player was so understanding. There'd been no ill intent and she might have ended up in jail. Either way she's looking pretty embrassed about what happened.

"So with that aide whar are you looking for? Just selling? Bying? The shop's owner Pendragon is pretty good at finding things."

Heck he's got a few things from Theo and Liz sitting on his shelves.
Sanary Rondel A clear of the throat, and Sanary nods with nothing else said about that incident! She could say more, but... Well. Perhaps the less said in public, the better!

"Just selling. Kirito told me that I could sell all this stuff, and I'm not doing anything else with it." Heading to the counter, Lednor at least gets through the menus easily enough to get rid of most of that unusable stuff cluttering up her inventory. It's taking a while, though, since... Wait. Is she selling things one at a time?

She's definitely not used to these kinds of systems. At least it keeps her from moving too much! "Have you.. Uh. Been playing this long? Your armor's pretty cool."

Sanary, for her part, is still wearing the most basic newbie clothes that she came out of character creation with. It's cheaper that way!
Tomoe Tomoe pauses for a moment with alook of abject horror on her face.

"Wait are you selling all those items one at a time? You know you can sell them in stacks of up to one hundred? That should speed things up and I can't help but notice your still in the free set of gear you get at start."

She sighs.

"We should outfit you a bit once you finish selling all that stuff." She then teaches Sanary /how/ to sell items and also to equip them. She also explains rarity and what flags something as junk or a crafting material.
Sanary Rondel "... really?" A brief glance around, and Sanary finally notices the other buttons! A few more taps and.. Her inventory is clear! "whoa... Uh. Thanks~" She lets out a bashful giggle at that new information, then tilts her head curiously when the gear is mentioned. "Yeah, I thought it.. Uhm. Looked cool. Not so chunky, you know?"

Oh dear. Is she one of /those/ players? Apparently not, by the time Tomoe finishes her explanation, and the red-headed Spriggan is soon decked out in fancy new gear! Or... At least something that makes her not look like a bot or something. She's taking it all in easily enough, at least, and she's certainly showing a willingness to learn! "So that's how that works... Cooool."
Tomoe Tomoe says "Also yes I been playing for a few years now and have played a few other VRMMORPGs before as well. Hopefully we got that helped yhou a bit. Come on lets see what the NPC vendor Pendragon has up, has for sale it wont' be his best stuff but? Your not there needing that yet till you figure out how you want to play."

She grins sn she nods. "So any idea what you want to do? Spell cast? Melee fight? Heal? Also have you been working on flying at all?"
Sanary Rondel "Whoa. There's others like this?" Now /that/'s news to Sanary. She's heard of ALO several times before in the Confederate reports, but of other games like this? That's actually somewhat worrying. What if there's other people running around doing this and bringing their characters out?

All the more reason to not get caught. "Th-that's... That's really cool. This is my first one, so I'm still getting used to... Er. All of it." A light chuckles, and Lednor strokes her chin lightly. "I haven't really figured that out yet, no... Uhm. I know I want to get better at using rapiers, and maybe a club just in case. But..." She shrugs after a moment, then shakes her head at the last part. "Everytihng else... Not sure. I haven't practiced the flying much yet, either. It's with the stick, right?"
Tomoe Tomoe Says "There can be yes people get too excited or don't think to ask. Such as bliting through the ... tutorials."

Humm an idea strikes her for the next quality of life department meeting at Yamir. She's going to have to look into that.

"I'll be happy to help you get used to things here but first lets get you geared up and rapirers? Well you only have so many skill slots so you may need to pick what you want to do. I'd say focus on the rapier."

She'll move to call out her father from the back.

"Hey Pendragon what do you got in the way of rapiers1"

While armour and such can come as Sanary needs it? A good qeapons is always /key/.
Sanary Rondel Sanary lets out another embarassed chuckle at the mention of tutorials. To be fair, though, it's not like she even knew tutorials were a thing! And between getting caught with her pants down from just falling into existence... She had a lot of starting hurdles to geth through!

"R-realy? Ah.. Thanks! If it's not too much trouble, then. Mm... Can you use two weapon types at once? Like..." She gestures at one of the rapiers on sale, then a club. "I mean, I think I've seen people using two swords, so maybe...?"

A girl can hope. Either way, once she's shown Pendragon's array of stuff, the two-eyed Spriggan (she's still not used to that part) next stares at the weapons laid out before her blankly. Some of them look cool, some of them look boring, and others...

She's not quite sure what even justifies some of their prices with how boringt hey look. "Maybe this one... Er. What's this about skill slots, though?"

On the bright side? At least she didn't waste any skill slots on things she'd never use (yet).
Tomoe Tomoe says "I don't mind and you can but there's no real skills for that, that's just Kirito behind himself honestly. He's .... actually able to do that at this point now that I think about it. Generally magic, crafting and that sort of thing."

She notes the rather tall salamander leans back on the wall and looks over to Sanary.

"You don't have any casual outfits other than the default one do you? We really need to get you ready with the basics, don't we?"
Sanary Rondel "Oh, so that's a thing he does... Hmm." That'd certainly be a useful skill to have, though, wouldn't it? Sanary's just going to have to ask him about that later. "And magic... I guesss I should check that out, too. There's so much stuff to do here, huh?"

Genuine interest! The more Lednor learns about the game, the more she's finding herself unwittingly drawn into it. Still, she can't let herself forget why she's doing all this!

"... Casual outfits? This game even has those?" Or she can forget completely. "Th.. That, I gotta see. Eheh... S-so is there a way to get in touch with you or those two from yesterday easier? I mean... It'd be cool, you know? To have some contacts in here." And totally not to spy. Not even a little!
Tomoe Tomoe says "Yes there are casual outfits, some people spend a lot of time and then there are the full on role players too. It doesn't hurt anything and honestly gives some more yurd for some of the crafter classes ot make off vanity. I do I'm in the same guild as both of them. We have been running togethe for quite a long time actually. So ya I have a few outfits if you'd like to see what one of them is like. I don't have final say on guild invites but I can send you a friend invite if you want. We can likely run a few dungeons and I suspect? Your going to need some help with flying."
Sanary Rondel "Role.. Players? So they play a game within a game?" Creepy. Interesting, but creepy. Not that she'll say it out loud, of course, and Sanary instead just laughs softly before nodding. "That makes sense... Ah... Really? O-oh, that'd be cool. I don't have any friends in this game yet, but..."

Alright, maybe that hit a little too close to home for herself. Lednor's just been busy, that's all! "It'd be good to have some people I know around. Especially for these... Dungeons? And flying, too..." She droops just a bit, an awkward grin crossing her face once more. "That was... Covered in the tutorials, too, wasn't it?"

Tomoe's got a lot of work to do on this one.
Tomoe Tomoe says "Yes people who like on the spot acting. It's comes from at least back home? From table top games and text based online role playing. Dad used to do the text based stuff when he was younger."

With the world seed? Most online role play has gone to small private servers using a world seed to generate things. Tomoe however continues on after a moment.

"Yes it was but don't worry I'll be happy to help you out, the flying is the biggest selling point of the game. As for outfits ohhh."

she pauses looking at the sale menu and picks up an item, a brown paper parsel appears in her hands and it vanishes into her inventory

This one should be cute and work for when I need something more formal than this.
Sanary Rondel Lednor nods slowly as Tomoe gives her that brief history lesson on this role-playing thing, although a lot of it is rather obviously going right over her head. Not that she's from a world without these sorts of things or anything1 No, that's someone else entirely. Noooo.

"Really? Hmm... Guess I should give that a shot, too. I know I saw this little... Rod thing a few times, but I didn't mess around with it too much." Following Tomoe's gaze to the sale menu, Sanary checks out her own. A bit of digging around, comparisons with how much she made selling those boar parts, a little more menu messing, and... A little white hat pops onto Lednor's head!

"Ahah. So that's how this works... Cool. How's it look?"
Tomoe Tomoe says :says "Well there should be some basic starter gear. Check out the packages section, you should find some basic gear at a good price for starting out. Which will give you more than the default gear does. Well what brought you to this game though. I'm curious about it and once we're done want to go hit up somewhere else to get something to eat?"
Sanary Rondel "Starter gear, starter gear... There it is!" Apparently, Sanary's the slow sort when it comes to shopping since she absolutely has to compare eeeeeverything to the base price. Not that counting as much as she's doing is easy, but... It's the principal! Eventually, however, she does finish after settling on a package of restoratives.

The question about her reason for playing does throw her off a bit, though. "O-oh! Uh... You know, I thought this game was... The idea was interesting. Trying different things from what I do in real life, being a different person. Seeing new stuff..." Partially true! She chuckles lightly and nods at the last part, seeming satisfied with today's purchases. "Sure! Uh... Wait. You can do that in this game, too? What about gaining weight?"
