Sanary Rondel It's been a few weeks since Sanary's started playing in ALO, partly to spy on the Union's allies in there and to have something to do with computers that doesn't involve her utterly destroying them inadvertently. Since introducing herself to some of the world's native players, she's actually started improving with her rapier work, too!

Today's not too different, with a red-haired Spriggan out in some field going through her usual routine of boar-stabbing with her usual rapier and forgetting to check her inventory space (again). Surely nothing's going to happen tonight that might put a bit of a fork in her plans, though, right? Right?
Sephiroth In the same general area (MAGICALLY), there is a silver haired Salamander. He is, somehow, single handing a two handed sword.

He's also murdering fake boars. Sanary may recognize the fighting style. You may shove a SOLDIER into a video game, but he's still a SOLDIER. Especially since this game is all about what's in his brain.

That's where all of his skills are!
Nero      Right then, something BURSTS through the sky, and descends at BLINDING SPEED. And then there's a crash as something heavy lands right in front of Sanary. Once the dust effects clear up, what stands there is...a Salamander. She wears a red and white combat dress, with a red and gold breastplate, and gauntlets. Thigh high boots adorn her legs, with light armoring along them. Having suddenly dropped in, she wields a two handed sword, ornate and shining with rarity, and she grips it with both hands, spinning quickly and unleashing a suddenly Sword Skill that destroys the surrounding boars in her immediate vicinity.

     FWOOSH

There's a whorl of flame, and then the urrounding enemy units burst into item drops and EXP. "....." The Salamander, who looks PRETTY MUCH EXACTLY like Nero, just with red hair, and a much taller frame, straightens up and observes the drops collected. "Hrm! Yes! This will do! I will just dispatch a few more to be safe and then complete this quest!"

The avatar didn't seem to be paying attention to the other players about such as Sanary or Sephiroth. If examined, her name comes up as 'Scarlet Saber'. She's gearing up to fly off again.
Sanary Rondel For better or for worse, Sanary doesn't quite recognize the style Sephiroth's using! Or she's just not paying too much attention since drawing attention to herself by staring at someone else in the same area probably isn't the best idea if she wants to keep her cover as just another player that... Happened to splurge a little on the red hair coloring during character creation.

It's all a part of Sanary's.. Or 'Lednor' 's cover, really!

After smiting another virtual boar with a rapier stab to the neck (that would probably just break a real rapier), the Spriggan does jump a bit when another unfamiliar Salamander dives in and promptly destroys a whole batch of boars at once. She's caught between surprise and awe at first, although the Scarlet Saber's manner of speaking and her choice of clothing...

There's no msitaking it. That's Nero, isn't it? Lednor stares at her slack-jawed for a few moments, looking between the lady in red and the silver-haired man slowly while... Actually looking the part of a wide-eyed newbie. She's still using low level Spriggan gear, after all, and the only things of note besides the mane of red hair are the white hat and glasses on her head! "Uh... H-hi there. Did you... What was that just now?"
Princess Luna      Nothing at all will happen!

Well, except someone else barreling into the area, swinging a long two-handed sword. She appears to be an imp judging by the purple clothing and the nearly body-length iridescent purple hair, and she handles her long, sleek, two-handed sword with definite experience. She is obviously used to handling a long weapon against threats.

The mystery imp is just about to leap for another virtual boar when Nero strikes, causing the imp to jump back and blink a few times as that salamander attacks with a fire spell and takes out much of the herd in one stroke. She huffs softly, then gives her sword a flourish before sheathing it against her back. "Thou art aware that there are other players in the area, are thee not?" she asks, though a slight smirk betrays that she isn't really that upset.
Nero      Scarlet Saber pauses, and then turns her head aside to glance at Sanary, and then Luna. "Hrm? Why, if you are so thusly concerned, then I recommend you move to another area!" The smile on her face suggests that she's not even a bit sorry. And besides, there are some enemies remaining straggling off to the edges of the immediate area with middling to low HP.

And to Sanary, the Salamander smirks and shrugs a shoulder. "You mean my beautiful technique? That was a Sword Skill, of course!" Feeling super proud of herself as usual, Scarlet Saber rests a hand against her breastplate. "Stunned? Awed? Unable to contain your excitement? Yes. I understand!"
Sephiroth Sephiroth stares as the boars burst into motes of data. Green eyes squint (though they lack the catlike pupil Sephiroth has. Not that he's hiding /at all/.

God DAMN Hojo.

He approaches, his gear a fair aproximation of his real wear. Heavy pauldrons, a long coat, plain pants and boots, and a far too large sword. Granted, everything is in red and gold and the sword is of the double edged style, but it's not too hard to discern who this is.

"That was rather rude, madam."
Sanary Rondel At least Sanary's not the only one shaken to some extent about the arrival of another known Union person around. GRanted, Luna's probably not in the same boat she is, but...

No, she's just overthinking things. As long as she keeps her cool, everything will go fine! "Ah... Y-yeah, I guess. All three? I-I mean..." She gestures at Luna and Nero in turn with her rapier, glancing over at Sephiroth for a moment and getting a better look at his...

That's not a disguise at all! Oh well. Maybe that's a blessing in disguise (ohoho). "... You've all got cool moves and outfits. All I have is this." She wiggles the rapier for a moment and fiddles with her hat awkwardly. "And... This." Approaching one of the weakened boars as it's getting ready to charge at Nero in retaliation, Lednor takes a deep breath before performing a Sword Skill of her own!

It's Linear. Alternatively, the most basic single-target Rapier thrusting skill. At least there's some fancy purple lighting effects to go with it, and it's even strong enough to dispatch the already-weakened boar! "... See what I mean?"
Princess Luna      The mystery imp just shakes her head lightly at Nero's bravado. "I am afraid I am only mildly impressed. And growing less so by the moment." she says before she looks over at Sephiroth. She looks him over, then looks at Nero. "I take thou art not both of the same guild, despite the similarities in thy clothing?" she says, smiling lightly to the both of them. She then curtseys politely. "I am Lu-..ah...Larina. It is so lifelike within this game that I often forget I am not myself within it."

She watches Sanary dispatch a boar, then nods. "I see we are in similar situations. Though this sword looks formidable, I have so far had quite a bit of trouble dispatching these data-composed creatures with it."
Nero      Nero regards Sephiroth, and then regards his name after a brief status check. ...Shame she didn't actually know the name Sephiroth, but that skill and countenance was sort of familiar! Sort of. "Rude? Hah!" Nero scoffs and then sticks her sword into the ground, completely ignoring the leftover boar getting ready to charge her. She pressed one hand to her chestplate, the other gesturing into the sky dramatically.

"I am Scarlet Saber! Emperor of the Infinite Skies! All of Alfheim Online is my playground! You should rejoice to be in my glorious presence! Ah ha ha ha aha!" ...Really. And then Sanary takes out that boar with a basic Sword Skill, demonstrating her newbiness. The Salamander observes, a hand to her chin, and then speaks. "I see. A standard Sword Skill." She picks up her sword one handed, and swings it idly. "What you witnessed before was a custom Sword Skill. You must create these on your own. However, the game will not recognize it and register it if you do not put your heart into it and come up with something truly unique to yourself."

Lu-Larina's jabs are met only with an amused smirk and a vague gesture of the hand. "Ahhh to be young and new. Truly a once in a lifetime experience! Mhmhmhm!"
Sephiroth Sephiroth snorts in derision. In Nero's general direction. "Your ego is disgusting. Perhaps the anonymity of the internet does not lead itself to humility."

He turns in a rustle of coat, the boars begining to respawn. He moves, his timing just so that a small herd of exactly eight manifest in his path.

"Hm."

Energy bursts from his feet and he vanishes, reappearing at each boar, laying out a masterful stroke upon every one. After all have been struck, he reappears at the middle, sheathing his weapon. The mobs burst in a flare of data.

So he showed off. It's kind of like the Training Room at ShinRa, right?
Sanary Rondel That old-timey manner of speaking. The vaguely snarky tone. Sanary peers at the Imp identifying herself as Larina, and for a moment, she's not quite sure whether she's met this lady before or not. Could it be that dragon lady? Or... Just a very odd coincidence?

Well, it's not Sanary's place to call someone out for trying to keep a low profile, considering what she's up to.

"Larina? That's a good name. Very... Uh." Crap, her habit of talking before she thinks is kicking in again! Time to deflect attention by... Focusing on Sephiroth and Nero instead! It's unmistakably them, at least, between the color schemes and the naming and even the clashing of ego against ego!

Not that 'Lednor' should know anything about them, of course. Instead, she just chuckles awkwardly and shuffles over to hold her (now free) hands up towards the two. "H-hey, let's not fight, huh? I mean, it'd look really cool, but... We're just here to practice or do quests or something, right?"

At least she's already used to trying to be a mediator sometimes. Not having to pretend very hard to be nervous certainly helps, too!
Princess Luna      Larina smiles at Sanary and nods. "It is not as good as my true name, of course, but I have been told that using one's true name within the bounds of this 'internet' is a bad idea. So, Larina is good enough for now." She then looks toward Nero again and snickers softly at being called young. "Yes...youth is a precious thing." she agrees before watching Sephiroth dispatch that new set of boars. She giggles, then raises her hands and shrugs her shoulders in a 'what can you do' sort of gesture. "I suppose I may not be able to complete my...newbie?..quest with so many strong warrior-players in this area. But, I suppose I might be able to pick up those left behind by thy strikes. It could be a beneficial way to increase my character's experience."
Nero      Nero smirks at Sephiroth and his words. "It is no mere ego. No, it is truth! The truth of the myriad universes!" She exclaims, posing dramatically again as she gestured off into the distance like some kind of stage actor. Maybe that's what she thought of all of this as. A grand old play.

And then Sephiroth demonstrates a Sword Skill that pretty much gives away who he is with certainty. ...And yet, the Salamander just smiles and claps her hands at the end of that display. "Ohooooo! Yes, very good, Sir Sephiroth! I am most pleased with your performance! Do keep that up!" At least she was easy to please, huh?

Looks like Sanary didn't have much to worry about there. Larina's statement is met with a shrug as Nero's wings come alight. "I myself was actually already going on my way! I already have what I need from this zone, so I shall disturb it no longer! Do enjoy yourselves with your hunt now! Ah ha ha ha ha!" And she laughs as she ascends into the air.
Princess Luna      Larina blinks as it seems suddenly she will have the zone to herself. She shrugs lightly again and smiles to Nero. "Fare thee well, Lady Nero!" Luna recognized that particular style of bravado and self-importance from the radio, and while she didn't care for it she recognized that Nero was generally a good person. "It was nice to meet all of you!" Larina says as she raises a hand to wave to the other three, then she draws her two-handed sword again and leaps onto the nearest boar, slashing and slicing until it is no more.
