Felicia      Felicia had been seriously cheesed at Jedah Dohma--well, when was she ever /not/? The guy was an ancient, moldy makai vampire that wanted to flush the universe by deleting all souls and sendign them to his weird space baby dimension and reboot everything--but had moreso been due to the little trick he pulled on her last time. And besides, she was curious what that journal of his contained--and we all know what curiosity did to the cat! Well, Felicia would be showing Jedah a trick of her own tonight.

Getting into the bar was easy enough in her white house cat form, sure it had a shock of her blue hair that was a fairly good telltale sign that it was her, should anyone be looking, but most folks didn't seem to notice it. Cats got genetic mutations and had weird colored eyes or fur all the time, right?

The bar itself was this smoky piano bar/lounge that was sorta sleazy but also high class enough to sport a variety of patrons with deep pockets, and likely also a fair amount of mob types and other bad guys. And speaking of bad guys... she had her eyes set on a certain one tonight!
Jedah Dohma Jedah was at the bar. Yes, it was kinda sleazy, but Jedah wasn't picky. It was as good a place as any to go over his notes. Noisy places helped him think. Often reading and researching, he could do this just about anywhere.

He didn't notice the cat at all. Not at all. His notebook was sitting to the side and he was drinking something red out of a glass goblet. Bloody Mary? Or blood? Who knew? He rubbed his temples.

That virus research had taken way too long. He had to help out with a lot of other research to earn his keep in the labs. However, he had some leads, and had managed to affect a few avatars, and that strange creature in the market. Meanwhile, he was sitting with the notebook fairly vulnerable to ledgermain.
Felicia      Sneak sneak sneak. Felicia was used to being in the guise of the cat, really it made things a lot easier--except when you were trying to infiltrate a somewhat noisy, smoky nightclub while in the shape of a short-haired white cat. The main issue was avoiding people accidentally stepping on you, really--but as she got closer to the bar itself she ducked under a table around a booth nearby, her green cat's eyes peering up at her quarry from beneath it. Yeah, that was Jedah alright, and he had his book with him. Felicia had hazy memories of the evening in the makai when she'd seen him writing in it, and then when he'd showed her after--he had stuff in there, important stuff--dangerous stuff. Not any world-rebooting space baby dimension stuff, but weird viruses and other sorts of things he was working on, from what she could recall. She just couldn't remember /what/.

Now she just needed a diversi--oh, there we go.

In a streak of white, Felicia dashed out from under the table in her housecat form and intentionally bumped into the legs of a passing waitress with a tray loaded with drinks--crash!

Now she just needed to hope the vampire would be distracted enough for her to slip up and take that book from him...
Jedah Dohma Jedah made a few final notes and saved the edits. That should keep him busy for the next few weeks at least.

Jedah looked over at the clumsy waitress for a few moments. The book was unprotected. If Felicia wanted to snag it, now was the time.

He turned his attention back to his drink. It was, at least, slightly intoxicating. All sorts of dark fancies lingered in the back of his mind for a moment. He took a deep breath, and looked back for the notebook. Was it still there?
Felicia      As Jedah looked over to the crash and the waitress cursing under her breath, Felicia was like quicksilver and had already bounded up onto a stool nearby Jedah and had soundlessly walked over and picked the ipad/notebook device up with her teeth. He'd likely be staring face to face with her with it in her teeth, the cat having an unmistakeable grin on as that shock of blue hair fell over the side of it's face. He'd even notice the very deliberate wink from that white cat as she then bolted down from the top of the bar and was making a break for the backroom area!

If Jedah wanted his device back, well, he'd have to catch her first~
Jedah Dohma Jedah was eye to eye with Felicia. He sneered and then she was hightailing it backstage. He quickly leaped up into the air (in spite of the low ceiling) and flew after her, tossing the occasional blade of a razor wheel. Hopefully they weren't hitting the bystanders, who probably didn't know what was going on. He doubted he be able to hit such an agile target, but that wasn't going to stop him from trying.

The book wasn't essential, as it was only a pocket book, linked to the main book. Without Jedah's retina, finger print, or DNA, it won't be that useful eventually as it require authentication after about 12 hours, but there's no sense in telling her that. He continued the chase for the moment, relishing the hunt.
Felicia      Felicia was hightailing it out of there--which was kind of a good way to say it--when creatures like dogs or cats ran from something for dear life they didn't want something grabbing their tails and catching them that way--so you can be sure that thing was up in the air!

Felicia made it backstage--dodging a razorwheel by jumping into the air with her white legs flailing--like cats do when they're super freaked and decide to display their agile nature!

Unfortunately for Felicia however, she was coming to a bit of a dead end--as she held the pocket book in her teeth, she jumped to try and hit the back exit door's handle--it was the kind you pushed against to disengage the latch--but damn! Locked!

this also of course meant that she had jumped and flew towards the handle, managing to bonk her head off the door itself and fell back stunned for a few seconds, the book falling from her teeth. Ow.
Jedah Dohma Jedah had to suddenly stop short and land, as Felicia was headed toward a door he knew he could not clear. As she bonked her head and dropped the book, he considered what he might do. He approached her calmly and cautiously.

"Enough, Felicia, if you're interested in my little diary, please, help yourself. It's no loss to me," he says concealing his wings,"Are we done with transformations and parlour tricks? As effective as they might be?" Perhaps trickery? Or was he lying?
