Adele Rozenbach Sande nel Goriel is fairly large as far as elven cities go, out of the way but with enough tourism to provide basic tourist attractions like art museums and a zoo. Now, the zoo is small and mostly uninspiring, but the pride of the zookeeper and the one reason why one might visit this particular zoo is the pteranodon colony, a small collection of the flying reptiles.

It's an hour before closing, and the sun has already set. Adele is wandering through the zoo, her butler in tow, and stops near the pteranodon colony. "I want one of those." She announces, and with that, she shoves aside a security guard and opens up the grand cage that houses it.

Immediately, automated security spells start complaining, including a public broadcast.
Fiera Kitsun This is not the kind of place to turn a fire elemental loose in. Fiera is keenly aware of that as she wanders through the Pine Core, not too far away from Sande nel Goriel - she's aware of the city thanks to Arashi, her Fearow, who's flying around overhead, but she doesn't really have a reason to go that way ...

At least, not until the alarm spells go off.

The Fearow stops meandering among the treetops and homes in on her Trainer; Fiera knows Arashi is coming, and places herself in a clearing, raising her arms so Arashi can grab her and bear her into the sky, heading towards the elven city as quickly as the Fearow's wings will carry her and Fiera, slowing down only enough to skirt around trees instead of trying to go through them.

Shortly thereafter, Fiera is deposited atop one of the buildings near the pteranodon cage; Arashi takes back to the air to help be an eye in the sky, and Fiera takes in the situation through her own senses and the Fearow's combined. She's already reaching for her Pokeballs, evaluating her options ....

And two more seconds are all the time that passes before Taki, Fiera's Gyarados, materializes from a Pokeball, rearing up in front of Fiera and *ROARING*. That should make the pteranodons a lot harder to manage, for better or for worse - and it should also draw attention to the flying sea serpent, who looks ready to start wreaking all kinds of havoc given the slighest excuse.

Fiera is hoping to prevent such an excuse from being generated, of course.
Adele Rozenbach Adele sighs as she too notices the alarm go off, and someone respond to it. "I would appreciate it if you left me do my work in peace, but I guess manners are not very appreciated these days. Very well." She closes the cage back up and turns towards the flying sea serpent, "Jeeves, take cover please."

Then, she casually pushes the sleeves of her dress up her shoulders, freeing her arms shoulderblades to the air. Her shoulders, upper arms and fingertips tear themselves open and blood starts to spew forth.

This blood coalesces into bone, sharpened bone claws at her fingertips, sharpened spikes extruding from her upper arms, and the skeleton of large wings from her shoulders. More blood spews around the skeletal wings, forming muscle and skin, resulting in large batlike wings.

"Do you still want to interrupt me? Because, well... I must say I don't much like being interrupted." She starts flapping those wings, taking to the air. If she looked innocent before, well... this is a much more monstrous appearance.
Fiera Kitsun Just like that, Fiera's night gets worse. On the plus side, her opponent is now airborne - which means less chance of collateral damage if Taki starts going wild .... which is unfortunately VERY likely; Gyarados aren't renowned for their level tempers or sweet natures, after all, and Taki is particularly prone to going nuts if Fiera doesn't manage her very, very carefully.

"It's not about whether we *want* to interrupt you or not," Fiera states, reaching over her shoulder for the hilt of her sword. "You're trying to steal animals that shouldn't be let loose. That would be bad for everyone in the area, and not just for people like you and me who can hold a conversation." She pauses briefly, looking past Taki's undulating form to study Adele's monstrous appearance. "So whether I want to interrupt or not, I'm kind of obligated to stop you. Do I have a peaceful way to do that so you don't start hurting my Pokemon, or are we going to have to do this the hard way?"

An angry snarl rises from the Gyarados, and light starts gathering between its jaws. Taki clearly has no problem at all with 'the hard way' - but whatever attack is being prepared isn't being unleashed yet.
Adele Rozenbach "I would just take one for experimentation. I'd pay, but I've found organizations like this have weird ideas about that." Adele clucks her tongue in disapproval, flying upwards and upwards, until she gets to a position in the air she likes. "My own collection of animals is much more interesting than this one, anyway. I'd just like the opportunity to add some more variety."

Suddenly, her upward motion turns into downward motion, gravity assisting her dive past the Gyarados her opponent has out, claws extended to swipe at it, to rip it open, before pulling herself back up to return to floating in mid-air.
Fiera Kitsun While Gyarados do have scales - and typically rather sturdy ones - they're not bulletproof, or clawproof for that matter; Adele's claws slash through Taki's flank, eliciting an earsplitting roar of pain and fury, and a gasp from Fiera as she clutches at her own side. "Ah, so you fancy yourself a 'collector' ... ?" Fiera replies, still wincing despite the fact that *she* doesn't seem to be bleeding. "And how much do you - well, you said you want to *experiment* on one of those pteranodons ..." She shakes her head.

And while Fiera's still shaking her head, Taki whips around in mid-air, trying to smash its tail into Adele and bat her away from the zoo - the further, the better.
Adele Rozenbach Adele is slammed into by that tail, a direct hit that forces her to stumble backwards, making her wince in pain while recovering herself and landing on both feet in a nearby tree. She seems somewhat annoyed by this situation, "You know, that actually hurt." She sounds surprised by this fact.

Then, she launches herself back into the air, "I am an artist, and flesh and bone is my medium." She explains, while rushing forward, trying to go for another rake of those bone claws into the gyarados, "And I need specimens like these for inspiration."
Fiera Kitsun "GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!"

If the previous roars from the Gyarados qualified as ear-splitting, this one is fit to obliterate eardrums at close range - mostly because, by chance or by design, Adele managed to reach INSIDE Taki's mouth and slash her claws across the unprotected flesh of its tongue. However, that also puts her directly in harm's way - and while the energy which was being gathered earlier had been allowed to disperse, it comes back in a hurry as Taki swings around, trying to keep Adele squarely in front of her mouth -

"GYARADOOOOOOOOOS!!!!!"

- so that she can eat a Hyper Beam at point-blank range, accompanied by a roar which the Multiverse translates loosely as 'You want a specimen? HERE YA GO!!'
Adele Rozenbach Adele's wings get shredded by the hyper beam, because she uses them to shield her from the full blast, instinctively reacting to them. Then as she falls, blood trickles from the shredded wings, and this allows them to reform, still the landing that follows is rough and overall the undead woman's face is contorted in obvious pain.

She jumps back up, and flaps her quickly repaired wings. The job isn't perfect, and her flight is somewhat lopsided. "This is getting to be more trouble than it's worth." She sounds frustrated, "I just wanted to grab one, close it back up and be gone."

"How about this, I leave, you leave, and we'll just pretend we were never here. This never happened. Collect that bounty if you want." Adele lands on top of a cage, "And in the future if I come to do something like this, I'll be ready for someone to disturb me. Thank you for proving the truth of what I was told, I wasn't entirely sold on it."
Fiera Kitsun A beam of light strikes the Gyarados, illumination spreading over the flying water-type Pokemon's form, and Taki resolves back into a cloud of energy, drawn once more into the Pokeball for safe keeping.

Only after she's returned the Pokeball to her belt does Fiera pause to run the back of her hand across her mouth; she's not sure *her* mouth isn't bleeding after all of that - or maybe she bit her tongue or cheek or something; there's red on her hand, but she suppresses the impulse to spit blood out of her mouth. The elves might not appreciate it if she did. Then again, Adele is bleeding too ...

"Sounds good to me," Fiera calls out, her voice somewhat ragged. There's a piece of her - or rather, a piece of Taki still echoing in Fiera's mind and heart - that wants to obliterate the blood-user; however, the memory of Taki's pain is still very strong, and Fiera isn't sure any of her other Pokemon would stand much more of a fighting chance. "I won't pursue you. Hopefully we never cross paths again ... I may not be leaving as quickly as you will, especially if they want to pay that bounty."

Not that the money is that big a deal to her; she can probably put it to good use, but she won't argue about it if somebody objects to paying.
Adele Rozenbach Adele nods, and without another word, those additions she put to her body before dissolve into blood that gets sucked back into her shoulders, arms and hands, returning to a regular human appearance. "Oh and if you could do me a favour? Tell them my name, and that I'm displeased with their reliance on outside intervention."

She adds, almost as an afterthough. "You probably don't know my name either, do you? Princess Adele von und zu Rozenbach." She walks up to the car her butler had pulled up during the fight, and takes a seat. It being a 1904 Ford, it's not exactly the swiftest vehicle, and there's no windows to intervere with conversation, even as it starts to move.
Fiera Kitsun "Fiera Kitsun," the red-haired Pokemon trainer gives her name in return. No reason to be rude, after all.

She *almost* asks if Adele is with the Confederacy, but somebody warned her that there'd be opposition to her theft of a pteranodon - that seems like the kind of warning the Confederacy would give. And Fiera's content not to mention openly that she's with the Union; odds are, if Adele *is* a Confederate, describing her to her allies will bring recognition from somebody or other.
