The leader of the ill-famed Corpse Brigade, Milleuda the Slitter, has finally emerged from hiding to lead her men on a raid into the nearby hills. Use the opportunity to slay the killer and bring an end to her bloody reign.

-----------

Anyone responding to the Emergency Alert will be directed to the Aetheryte at Little Ala Mhigo. The place is a slightly downtrodden former refugee camp slowly gaining its footing again and turning into a proper city in the hills of the desert country of Eorzea.

At the Aetheryte is a catman of some repute, at least. Mr. N'Raha stands... looking maybe a good deal more self assured than he was the last time anyone who knows the pirate Miq saw him. The shabby armor is still there, but only because he's still cheap and he likes getting his gear in a hand me down fashion. That axe of his is mighty sharp looking though.
Cirra Constantine     Arriving via the Aetheryte is still new to her, but the plate clad Judge has likened it to Warp Gate travel, which has made getting accustomed to it easier. The woman however looks down at the pool of water the Little Ala Mihgo and shakes her head as she trudges out of it. "You would think some wood boards would suffice to prevent one from getting their stockings wet on arrival."

She looks at the Miq'ote, "N'raha Tia. I belive we've met previously." the woman in the horned helmet holds out her hand. "Cirra Constantine. Judge of Ramuh...just not the local one."

"At first the name 'Corpse Brigade' made me think of the undead, but I take these are just Brigands born from traitorous deserters?"
Alden Alden is starting to enjoy his trips to fantastic realms, if only because they sometimes remind him of the digital world with all the odd creatures, unusual humanoids, and special powers that the people tend to have!. He spends a little while trying to find the coordinates, being his first time around this place, and using that particular method of transport, but soon enough, a small lizard wearing a wolf pelt approaches N'raha Tia, looking around. "I heard there was...", and he goes quiet as he hears someone ask pretty much the same question. He certainly does not look intimidating, no weapons, no armor, and his only gear seems to be a small belt, with a small box, and a weird handheld device next to it. He notices at least a familiar face, wav to Reinhardt and Cirra and smiles to them, "Hi."
Reinhardt Wilhelm     An adventure fighting roving bandit gangs? Reinhardt doesn't need much more convincing than this! The towering knight appears to have suffered recent injuries, as his armor's got a nasty gap that's still being repaired in the shoulder, though potions helped with wounded flesh. Quills tend to be nasty projectiles, Reinhardt is swiftly learning.

"Well met, sir! I am Reinhardt, of the Union." He greets cheerfully, helmet tucked in one arm and hammer in his other hand as the Knight approaches. He waves to Cirra and Alden both as well with a broad grin on his elderly visage, blessed with a GLORIOUS mustache and beard, as well as a rugged scar along one blinded eye. Doesn't seem like a lack of depth perception slows the old man down, though, as he recognizes both as allies in the Union pretty quick. "I heard there was something of a problem involving criminals, one that needs solving immediately. I take it you're here to collect on that bounty as well?"
Reize Seatlan      Adventure brings out the greatness in people. See the world, meet people of different cultures. There is a world to see out there. For one particular adventurer, it had been seeing the multiverse. Where as his original travels took him through various regions, it has gotten to be to where he has traveled through universes. ... This may had been to his bad luck and lack of navigation senses.

    Where does this take Reize?

    Out to Little Ala Mhigo.

Standing upon a very large crystal is none other than the short boy with the distinctively long yellow scarf. His head lifts up, gazing at the crystal in awe. "Wow..." His eyes remain wide, looking at the artifact. It looks like he had been here for a little while, holding his new rations that he obtained from shopping around.

While standing in awe over the aetherite crystal, he cannot help but to overhear a commotion, "Huh?" He quirks an eyebrow, turning his head over to regard the other gathered party: A cat-man with shabby armor, tall armored woman, a large knight with an elderly vibe about him, and a fairly short talking creature.

"Eh? Ooi!" The boy calls out to the gathered. Now, he is sticking his nose into things, "What is this about criminals terrorizing people?"
N'Raha     The catman perks up as for the first time in a while... Offworlders are here again. And at least one friendly face. N'Raha's ears perk up, and he wave wave waves to Cirra. "Hallo, Miss Constantine! It's been a while!" A look in his face like he might have hugged her, if more people didn't show up. Like a Not-A-Kobold, and Mr. Fancy Scarf.
Also, Mr. Man In Magitek armor. Even with the dashing moustache, there's more than a little cry of consternation from the locals, before they realize he's not attacking them and it's not the precursor to Imperial aggression.

N'Raha is still cheery though. Offworlders he's used to dealing with. "Hey guys, and yeah, I'm surprised more people showed up for this, I was expecting to have to handle her by myself. Broken Water's a little out of the way for a lot of people." He chuffs, and then turns to lead people out of the tunnels to the northeast. The shady confines of Little Ala Mhigo will open up into a sprawling, baked land, the sun high overhead, with large lizards milling about, baking in the warm rays of the sun. Off in the distance, there's a collection of hills with canyons carved out. N'Raha hops up on a pale green Chocobo, and clicks at it to start it off into the right direction. "Just here to help out, then?"
Cirra Constantine     Cirra nods to Reindhart, "as I said. I met him the last time I was in Eorzea." The Judge shrugs her shoulders, "This realm has similarities to Galianda in broad strokes."

Cirra looks up at the boy on the Aetheryte, and for some reason feels a twinge of irritation which she buries quickly. "Word of bandits shouldn't be taken lightly, especially ones of such a bloodthirsty nature." She walks outside the caverns of Little Ala Mihgo and lifts her helmeted head towards that green chocobo. "One of the similarities - Chocobos. Though I failed to bring one, I shall have to walk."
Alden Is a bit surprised that no one seemed to bat an eye at him, but then again, it is a nice change compared to some reactions he had in the past. He looks towards Reize, tilting his head a bit, "Hi." he greets the boy, he has no particular opinion on 'boys' or such, who knows how powerful he might be. He moves closer to N'raha, and smiles, "I figured I'd try to give a hand, I don't mind traveling a bit." he says. He tilts his head as he notices the green chocobo, hopefully this one is better behaved than Stark's. He considers for a moment as he walks besides the others, and decides that he is not quite up to doing a long trip in this particular form.

He steps aside a bit, and quickly fumbles with what looks like a trading card, before he transforms into a fairly large (about as tall as Reize) periwinkle wolf with blue stripes. "Better." he murrmurrs, following the othersa bit.
Reize Seatlan      Although generally oblivious around his fate, Reize is able to pick up a noticable change in the residents' posture as some of the outsiders. Or at least, moreso the man in armor. The way that the locals are muttering to themselves, Reize cannot help but to make out a few things. Definitely worth keeping note of.

"Huh?" Reize is admittedly still confused, especially when the cat man moves off to the tunnels to the northeast. "Ooi! Wait up!" Once they arrive out into the warmer lands with the lage lizards milling about, the boy looks at the gathered once more.

When Reinhardt asks about Reize, the young traveler brightens, "I'm Reize Seatlan, just an explorer." While everyone is still gathered, "I was just traveling along ountil I overheard your conversation." He furrows his eyebrows, "I'm not going to let anyone get away with terrorizing innocent people!" He slams his gloved hand into his gloved palm, a look of determinaton forming.

"I'll help!" He brightens cheerfully. At the sight of a large chocobo, Reize glances over at the bird with a bit of distrust. He slowly edges away from the large creature. Why is the boy taken back by the chocobo?

A FEW HOURS AGO IN LITTLE ALA MHIGO!

The young boy had been doing some shopping for a few things. Rations, gear, some torches. He was doing a bit of chatting with the locals. He stood near a few chocobo.

NOW

Reize does not want his hair getting snatched up again.
Reinhardt Wilhelm     Reinhardt doesn't usually attack unprovoked, that's never been his style. He also tries to be as knightly as possible, which might help cool things down despite being seven feet tall even without armor, and built like a semi-truck made into a man. "You know this one, Dame Cirra?" He asks the Judge curiously, before he notes the arrival of Reize curiously. "Don't think we've met either, now that I think about it."

"The Multiverse tends to make travel quite easily when it comes to getting to places, I've found." He nods to N'raha. Deserts are nothing he hasn't been through before, but Reinhardt dreads the inevitable time he will spend afterwards cleaning sand out of his armor. As he dons his helmet, he follows the Chocobo on foot in a jog, every footfall leaving a meaty thud as he picks up speed. "The bandits were smart to pick this as a hiding place, a lot of cover for them and more than inhospitable enough for any large groups of intruders coming to deal with them. Be alert, everyone!" He says, speaking from experience by the sound of it.
N'Raha     N'Raha doesn't seem to mind the travelling companions, that's for sure, but he is edging a bit closer to Cirra than anyone else. Also because he's keeping pace so that she doesn't fall behind. "Well, thanks for the help, really. These guys are brutal and ruthless. And the worst part is they're not even Tempered, they're just murderers and thugs and assholes. And yeah, Mr. Rhinehart, they like to base out of there, but the Slitter hasn't been seen in a long while. The Immortal Flames want her eliminated. Take out the boss and let the murderers sort things out themselves."

He looks to Alden and Reize and smiles. "Oh, almost forgot to introduce myself. N'Raha, of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, and the Light Warriors." ...Oh my, he has taken up that mantle, then. Interesting.
Alden The large, quadruped wolf nods politely when the cat person introduced himself, and smiles!, darn he has a lot of sharp fangs. "It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Alden." he offers, long ropey tail twitching behind him in a lazy wag. Of course he tries his best to be alert, sniffing the air, and keeping his ears up in the air. "I don't really have any real title, at least for now." he adds softly, before he sits and itches his left ear with a hindpaw, tongue hanging from the open muzzle, pretty much destroying any 'dangerous beast' image he was giving.
Reinhardt Wilhelm     "Aye. Simple enough." Reinhardt doesn't exactly feel too comfortable with mercenary work, though this is hardly the time to debate such things. What matters is there are bad guys to be smote, and these guys are ognna do just that. He slings his hammer across his shoulder, and salutes the catman crisply with his right arm, as proper for a military man. "Reinhardt Wilhelm, of the Union and formerly a member of Overwatch and the German military."

"What sort of capabilities do you know of that they possess? For all we know, they might have snipers along the ridge line waiting for us right now." He asks, his gaze going upwards accordingly as they progress.
Cirra Constantine     Cirra cants her head up at N'raha Tia as he mentions being a member of the Light Warriors. "Another commonality." she muses. Though this sounds almost amused rather then the normal clinical comparison she makes.

She moves fairly quickly - that armor must be lighter then it looks; "In terrain like this they can't hide in the open. They'll need a rocky overhang or a small canyon, possibly a cave..."

Having also worked with Alden before she looks over at the wolf and points at a rise just up ahead. "Try getting a scent from up there."
Reize Seatlan      "Pleased to meet you, N'Raha!" With a beamingly cheerful smile, Reize is happy to meet the leader of the party. What catches his attention, however, are the titles. It feels like he heard about the Scions. ...Maybe.

Reize is not sure. Some of the lore, Reize had been trying to listen for since his arrival and wandering.

A member of the Union. "Hm..." This is probably the second or third time someone mentioned that they are with the Union. His eyes glance over to Reinhardt, then he keeps a cheerful smile up. "So we just deal with their boss." He frowns slightly. Murderers, thugs, and 'assholes'.

Though, Reize cannot help but marvel over towards Alden as he studies the beast.
N'Raha     The hills ahead do indeed start to show some caverns and canyons, at least reasonably well hidden from a distance. But it's the sort of place that would make travellers uneasy to get near. And as the group starts to near, they might catch... movement in the upper reaches of the hills, shrouded figures in desert colored cloaks shifting. They've been spotted, that's for sure.

The catman murmurs. "From what I know, they've got pugilists and thaumaturges in their numbers. How many I cant' say, but that means close in fighters backed by magic. Powerful stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if they've added to their numbers either. It was a hard summer and well.. sometimes desperation turns people even more than Primals."

The ridge for Alden won't be a hard climb, but as they near, the scents of human encampments will start to grow on the 'Mon's nose. Meat. Sleeping areas. Dogs. All the 'comforts' of home in these canyons. Cries of alert start to lift up in the walls of The Sepulchre.

    They are expected now.
Reinhardt Wilhelm     Reinhardt frowns. He's not exactly graceful, nor is he good in mountains with this damn suit weighing him down. "If I were commanding these forces, I'd have the magic users up above, like artillery. These mountains make good concealment, and provided they have the numbers, they could bury us in spells." He's not doing a good job not jinxing this, despite himself. He projects a shield when he hears distant voices up above, and hunches over as he raises his shield. "I can provide cover for any behind me. Might be a good idea to do that now." He says, moving slowly as he adopts the posture that the SPartans made famous at the Hot Gates. Shame there aren't 299 other guys with shields, or this might actually be formidable.
Alden The big wolf goes still and looks up as he catches the scents in teh air, "We must be close." he says, of course, he is a bit late, since he barely says those words, and the cries of alarm are already in the air!. He grumbles softly, and moves to take cover, at least while he tries to prepare for the fight!. All he manages to do at the moment is reverting back to his smaller, cuter form, curse lack of hands to handle those cards. "I need a moment to prepare." he mumbles, as he reverted, searching for something.
Cirra Constantine     "Hmn. It's no surprise they spotted us." Cirra narrows her eyes behind her visor and 'draws' her Judge Blade out of the Aether -...the MPether? Eorzean and Galiandian magic similarities haven't been explored yet. A Law card in one hand as she waits for the enemy to come, side stepping into Reinhart's shield coverage. "But ready to use that shield to break their front. WE're after a specific individual after all. The quicker we dispose of that one, then less fighting there will be."
Reize Seatlan      While the group are traveling, Reize looks around the desert. Even despite of his some of his previous journies, he is still out of his element. The desert life s not something that Reize is used to. While wandering along with the others, he glances along the hills to let his eyes wander. Otherwise, the monotony will get to him.

While glancing over towards his left and right, he cannot help but feel like... Nah.

Reize listens to their party lead. "So hand-to-hand fighters and magic wielders?" Reize places a hand along his chin, then he lifts his head up with a grin, "I can deal with the hand-to-hand fighters!" He gives a cheerful smile, which soon fades when the catman explains about the potential numbers that grow.

... And the cries of alert piece the air.

Quickly, Reize moves to take cover with Cirra behind the large man for his shield coverage. This also presents Reize with drawing both of his pair of blue crystal boomerangs. As the weapons glint, Reize adopts a quick stance.
N'Raha     The canyon opens up before the group as they turn to face the crevasse, and inside...

Sunlight trickles down through seams in the top of The Sepulchre, but only light enough to cast dim shadow. The rest of the light comes from torches and campfires... and the smouldering smells of fire magic, aching to be unleashed, somewhere in the dark. The catman dismounts his Chobo, and swats it on its ass to send it off and out of danger. "...Right, time to handle this."

Rheinhart's shield seems to be an alert of some sort, as a pair of mages in the darkenss suddenly open fire... with Fire. Lashing balls of flames slash out through the dark, illuminating several squads of men and women lurking to strike. Hyur and Miq and Elvaan alike, all have turned to banditry here.

A woman's voice calls out in the dark. "What're yer waiting for, you mongrels? GO GETTEM!" And then the lines charge, aiming to get stuck in with the Light Party.
N'Raha     Cirra, the Not a DRK, is approached more warily by the Pugilists, though two seem to take the initative, diving in with fists full of Aether, aiming to knock the wind out of her sails right through that Judge's Armor.

Somewhere in the dark, there's the stretch of bowstrings... and then a volley of arrows lashes otu at Alden, aiming to bring the pain to the Mon. Take cover!

Reize gets a pair of Miq ladies with nasty looking metal claws that clamber down from an upper level, aiming to slash him open!
Reinhardt Wilhelm     "Damn-!" Reinhardt doesn't get much of a warning before he's pelted with fireballs. "They didn't take long to get ready, must've been waiting for some time." He muses to himself, his force field flickering with every impact. Magic fireballs weren't something Torbjorn had taken into consideration when constructing this suit and upgrading it every so often, hopefully the shield hangs in there by the time Reinhardt's foes get in close.
Cirra Constantine     Cirra hns, "They always order them into a full frontal assault." She slams the law card into the ground, "The. Briar!" and crystal thorn vines sprout out of the ground intending to slow the advancements of the main host of brigands.

The two pugalists however need more direct attention. The Judge swings the her blade up and around parrying the first strike of Aether infused fist. "I've been wondering how a fight like this would work out." And Cirra spins around, pushing the first pugulist aside with her sword and smashing her elbow at the face of the second, lifting her foot up and kicking the first in the keister.

"But you're no Black Belts. Disapointing."
Alden What is it with Alden getting targetted by sharp, piercing weapons!. He lets out a loud growl as his thankfully for now, small frame jumps aside, getting a grazing cut on one arm, and snarling in the direction of the projectiles!. Rather than try to taunt, finding the card he wanted, and finally using it!.
A bright flash of light, and now a large, robotic quadruped wolf replaces the small lizard. He can't quite see the targets, only the general direction the attack came from, but that does not stop him from trying to blast the area!. "Giga destruction!". There is a series of clicks, as several missile ports open all around (and a larger one on his back), before a small swarm of missiles are launched in the direction of the archers!. They cover a broad area with explosions!. Most likely they won't 'kill' the archers, but they are bound to get at least hit by the small by the blasts.
Reize Seatlan      As the canyon opens up before the group, Reize's eyes stare at the dim shadow as flames suddenly come to life. "Whoa!" Being near the shield, Reize immediately takes cover behind Reinhardt to avoid taking the brunt of the balls of flames. However, the remnants of the flames do lick near his face.

He winces, gritting his teeth while taking a more prepared stance. At this point, Reize works on breaking away from the knight after the fireballs die down.

It looks like everyone is charging through.

Squads of men and women of all kinds are here.

In the midst of the charging warriors, Reize is meeting with a pair of miqo'te females with some metallic claws. As they dive down from the upper level of the treacherous mountains, Reize quickly brings his arms up into the defensive.

    CLANK!

The metal claws meet with his boomerangs. With a hiss, "Think fast!" Quick on his feet, Reize becomes a blur as he zips from side to side. In the midst of his quick movements, he quickly spins around one of the miqo'te pugilists to unleash a harsh roundhouse kick, intending to force the target to fall towards her partner.
N'Raha     Rhinehart's shield will hold for now. These aren't the nost powerful casters in the world, but they aren't dumb. Though a cycle starts to build up. Fireballs, followed up by Ice Spells, and back to fireballs. Some sort of cyclical casting effect? Maybe. He's going to have to deal very shortly with a trio of lancers that charge in, aiming to skewer that magitek gear he's wearing.

Riese's ladygal friends are not used to people fighting back, not in a long while. None of these people are, to be honest, but the rust is slowly knocking off of them. He knocks one into the other, but the one that falls kips up into an amazing series of tornado high kicks. Yes, she is wearing pants. Sorry Reize.

Alden's rockets lance out, and there's curses and yelling as the explosions expose the archer's positions, the trio falling as rocks and cliffside give way under them. But more of those lancers that are charging at Rhinehart are now coming for the Robodog!

And then EVERYTHING gets fouled up by Cirra. Those tangling vines trip up the charging people, and force the pugilists to take their time and concentrate on their footing more than straight up punching. Not good. Also she knocks one of her opponents stright out with the side of her elbow, sending her sprawling into the dirt. and vines.
Reinhardt Wilhelm     "Nnngh, could use some help with their artillery!" Reinhardt calls out, feeling his defenses weaken with every hit. The cyclical spells show they're not stupid, trying to shake things up as they pelt the knight over and over. He's going to have to take his chances by rushing the enemy, and fighting uphill like this is suicide for him.

Then again, the Lancers might be a better target for Reinhardt. He drops the shield when he spots their approach, and hefts his hammer with both hands. "Alright, come and get it!" His engines kick in, the thrusters propelling Reinhardt with shocking speed as he hurdles towards the spearmen. His hammer's engines activate as well, and he lets off a furious swing into the melee, taking his chances with armor to protect him from grievous injury via spear. There's a good chance he'll be able to dish out more pain in close quarters than these guys can, given his hammer and strength.
Reize Seatlan      After knocking one over the other, Reize lands on his feet and springs forward towards the one that is kipping back up to her feet. What does he plan to do? He is going to congratulate his second partner for getting up in such a great fashion.

... That way of congratulations is in the form of a flip in the air and the boy swings his leg down in an effort to drive the hell right at the cranium of the miqo'te.
Alden The robo wolf turns to face the chargers, since they were the ones closest and... sees that the others had that taken care of, "I'll go for the mages." he calls!. The wolf jumps high and takes to the air, small wings unfolding to the side to hold him airborn. "Up here!" he calls the attackers, "Since you like ice so much..." "Cocytus breath!" he barks, a blue beam shooting from his muzzle, freezing the ground (and any targets), as he does a quick swipe between the mages, hoping to trap a couple, or disperse them.
Cirra Constantine     Slowing down the enemy charge and putting down one Pugulist is a start, but there are a lot of enemies out there. "Alden!" Cirra points up at the magic casters. "Casters. Lock them down!" The Judge ducks and weaves around more fist punches, it seems her provoke caused the pugulist to try harder. Or maybe he just thinks a Gladiator without a shield will go down on one hit.

Cirra doesn't really play by that sterotype though.

A fist strikes the Judge armor with a *clang* and the Pugulist begins to change into Oppo Oppo stance to push his advantadge.

But cirra drops down to the ground, hands bracing behind her head as she picks up both feet to kick the puglist in the center of his chest with with her armored boots.
N'Raha     Well if you wanted to shake up the combat norm, Rhinehart, you've certainly done that. Let's start with him, where that rocket powered charge blitzes through the line of fighters, slamming several of them around and into verious places far from where they were before. It also quite handily brings several out of the fight for good with sickening crunches of bone and flesh.
...No one seems ready to step up to the Magitek now. Funny that.

Cirra's fight is less flashy but no less important as that Law Card fizzles out after a few moments, the vines retracting back to where they came from. Her tussle with the not-a-monk finishes with her the victor, though not without a few aether boosted bruises under her armor. She's goign to feel that in the morning.

Reize fares a bit better on the 'getting injured' part, his opponents already off kilter by the vines and now less so with a boot in their face. The mooks seem to be clearing out. These outsiders were decimating them.
THe mages aren't going to get the chance to run though, as Alden slaps ice into their position from close range, freezign one of them up to the waist and forcing the other to back off and flee into the deeper caves.

But what about N'Raha? He seems to have found the NM. There's the sound of Axe on Shield and the pair skid into view from a hut that Rhinehart has not knocked over, with N'Raha's axe clanging off the very shiny shield of the Slitter. Milleuda howls in glee as she spots all of the outsiders, crying out. "I see t'Flames have spared no expense in their MERCENARY ways. What a JOKE that lot. COME NOW." She slaps the Catman in the face with the flat of her sword, knocking him backwards and calls out. "I am Milleuda the Slitter, champion of a thousand battles, and you are all but DOGS to me! COME!" And with a cry, she charges at... Reize, her sword glowing omimously, her shield flashing with a light that blinds. in the dark cave.
Reize Seatlan      "Whew..."

Reize manages after taking out the last of the pair. He untenses for a brief moment, which he uses to take a nice deep breath. After the moment of calming down, he finally turns his attention around to assess the battlefield. It looks like everyone has managed to deal with the other bandits and criminals within the lot.

However, Reize comes across the battle that is nearby. The person that sends N'Raha back earns a focused look.

"!!!!" This is Milleuda the Slitter! Reize grits his teeth as she charges his way, "Whoa!" With that sword ominously glowing, Reize readies his boomerangs for combat.

... Until the shield casts forth a blinding light.

With a wince, Reize immediately brings his boomerangs together while he hastily rummages through his pouch. As if trying to procure something from his bag of tricks, he is hoping that he manages to pull out the right object.

Reize hoped to procure a smokebomb for his cover. However, he feels that the object is a little heavier.

    ...Crap, it'll do.

In his distress while he tries to unblind himself, he swings it over towards the direction of the woman. The object in question? An anvil.
Reinhardt Wilhelm     "PRECISION. GERMAN. ENGINEERING." Yeah, that sums things up for the bandits not unconscious. Or death. Reinhardt bellows out a laugh as he watches the survivors crumple before him. "HAH, that will show you to fight without honor, cowards!" He says, before he hears the leader call everyone out.

He also turns just in time to get blinded by her blade's reflecting light. "Augh! Come on!" He blinks over and over to try and get the flashing out of his eyes, shaking his head while he staggers towards the hut. Now would be a good time to help take out the boss, blindness be damned. At least she's loud enough anybody with good enough ears could follow her voice.
Cirra Constantine     Cirra gets back up to her feet just as the Boss bursts out of the hut with N'raha Tia. "Mercenary? I'm afraid I only do this sort of thing Pro Bonno." But the Flash of light goes right through the red visor of her helmet, "Nhhg!" she brings up one arm to shield herself but it's too late, and her vision is blurred by the magic.

"Tch!" and not an Eye Drop in sight. "Contain her!" She pulls another Law Card out from thin air and slaps it to the ground. "The. Rampart!" And a barrier of crystaline spikes grows in Milleuda's path.
Alden The robo wolf growls as he hears the voice, turning to face the leader as well, "I don't do this for money!." he protests, and charges in the direction of the battle, only to get blinded by the burst of light. He whines and paws at his face a few times, not really realizing he was getting out of course and smacking against one of the caves. It was not a very damaging thing, but it was painful, and embarassing, "Gah."
N'Raha     The blinding will go away after a few moments at least, but that's going to be enough time for the Slitter to do her thing for a bit. That POCKET ANVIL clangs off her shield, wrenching her arm a bit but not stopping her advance as she drops a powerful downward slice into the Scarf Wearing Hero. That sword is wicked sharp, and could do some awful damage if the DPS isn't careful.

Behind her, though, there's a bellowing cry from N'Raha. If a young catman could sound like a male lion, this would be as close as possible. "COME ON, YOU BITCH. OVER HERE. YOU WANT A FIGHT YOU GOT ONE." Oh dear. In the dim light of the cavern... N'Raha's aether is burning a dull red, an aura of Rage starting to boil off him in waves. The sharp end of that axe lashes out, and with a pirouette of color he lashes out at the Gladiator.
N'Raha     And then those SPIKES slash out of the ground, as the new Law comes into effect. N'Raha is forced to stop his advance as well, but it's keeping Milleuda from getting to anyone else. She bellows right back at the Cat, and the group at large. "Buncha do-gooder nancies! T'Flames are just as corrupt as we are, you know! Them and t'Blades! Alla'em! Ul'dah's just a bit rutting leaky purse!"
Cirra Constantine     As her vision clears, Cirra shakes her head. It's clear to her N'raha has picked up a Beserker sub-job. Or whatever they call it in Eorzea. This is good. With the enemy's attention focused on the catman and Reize, she charges and leaps over her own spike rampart, dropping to the ground in a leg slide. Her sword swings out for the back of the Gladiator's legs in an attempt to knock the woman's knees out from under her.

    "Reinhardt! Charge!"
Reize Seatlan      With the crystalline spikes placed in front of Milleuda's path, this leaves Reize with a bit of reprieve. He takes the moment to fall back, trying to rub his eyes to see again. "Ugh..." He can feel his vision clearing just a little.

While recovering, he separates his boomerangs to where he is wielding one in each hand again. He takes a deep breath, turning his attention back to Milleuda's path. "That doesn't make terrorizing people okay!"
Reinhardt Wilhelm     There's a big mistake about going without backup, and still challenging multiple enemies even if that wasn't your intent. Reinhardt is definitely set on proving this to Slitter, as he feels his vision return in time for him to draw close to the duel between her and N'Raha.

"RIGHT!" Reinhardt doesn't miss a beat as he hears Cirra call out to him, and his engines kick in once more. Propelling himself with missile-like force, he's going to hit like a ton of angry bricks driven by a steam train.
Alden The digimon wipes his face a few more times, before he seems to finally recover and growls at the 'Boss', unfortunately, seems like his normal ranged attacks might be a bit too risky, but he does try to approach as well, trying to find a good opening.
N'Raha     If it's not Berzerker, it's something damn close. Though in N'Raha's case, full on Berzerker would be the worst thing it could be. The catman seethes a bit at the jabs tossed back at the Flames. He may be part of the Maelstrom, but words hurt. Reize's impassioned speech gets a haughty bark of air from Milleuda. "No, they're just weak and in Thanalan the weak are worse than useless!"

But then the ROCKET MAN comes barrelling back in, backed up by Cirra's assault. Let's start with Rhinehardt. It's hard not to see that coming at least, and the Gladiator sets her feet right back. There's a change in the air, and she angles her shield at the last minute. Something familir springs up in front of her as Rhinehardt mackes contact, a massive aether-based energy barrier, angled to blunt that attack and send him past her on an angle. But that takes plenty of concentration, and she's knocked out of it once Rhinehardt passes by that low blow from Cirra. She looses her footing and is knocked to the dirt and stone, snarling up at the Judge. "You t'ink yer better an' us, bitch? You're just a puppet. A toy to the oligarchs. The little rich Taru bastards tha' run t'place. Come on then."
Reinhardt Wilhelm     Oh, now Slitter's done it. Reinhardt roars at Milleuda, indignant fury in his words. "The WEAK deserve to be protected-AUGH!" Sadly his speech is interrupted by impact again the mountainside. He's stuck within the rocks for a good bit, before he pries himself free with elephantine strength. "RAGH!"

"THey need to be protected, out here more so than ever! Scum like yourself could not possibly understand." he says, popping his neck audibly as he emerges from the hole he just made. "You are mistaken, not just corrupt and selfish, my lady. We are no tools of any oligarch or politician. We do this not for money, but because we know your kind will never cease to come forth in the interest of greed and sadism." He storms towards Millueda, hammer in hand. "We do this because we know that the flock cannot always defend itself from wolves like yourself. We are shepherds and guardians, here to put an end to your cruelty."

His hammer, while not raised, is a grim reminder to the bandit leader that she's on thin ice.
Cirra Constantine     The Judge turns from her slide standing back up to her feet. "I'm the puppet?" The Judge chuffs at the repraisel. "Does it not serve the wealthy to ensure the 'weak' and downtrodden remain so? To have them cower in their homes at hte fear of bandits and brigands, so that these mercinaries you speak of my softly move into positions easily darkened by greed?"

Cirra points the Judge blade at the Corps Brigade liuetenant. "That makes *you* complicant in the very corruption you decry." Sounds like she's familier with that kind of corruption.

The Judge slides one foot back, and holds her sword blade up at eye level with both hands, eyes dangerously focused. "So. If you were to disappear. Those same oligarchs would lose their precious pawn."
Reize Seatlan      Just weak? Weak are worse than useless? His expression becomes sour, teeth gritting as he tightens the grip on his boomerangs. "...If that is how you feel about those that are weaker than you..." The young man takes an aggressive stance, both boomerangs are now gripped invertedly.

"Then I'll make you eat those words!"

With Reinhardt and Cirra moving in, Reize closes his eyes. In that deep moment of concentration, a brief glint of energy envelops around Reize as he steels his will. Invoking his inner will, the boy already plants his feet to the ground before pushing forward to meet with Milleuda.

However, it looks like that the Corpse Brigade Lieutenant is on the disadvantage. Nevertheless, Reize is pumped, ready to move in at a moment's notice.
Alden The digimon is relieved to see that the combat seems to be over, or at least under control, instead choosing to move closer, and keep an eye (and a ear, and a nose) on the surroundings, in case someone tried to flank them.
N'Raha     Words and cries and philosphy and insinuation! All of this talking! Well, that gets the bandit's eyes wandering. They're not going to kill her straight away. Interesting. Milleuda's eyes narrow up at Cirra, her words more cloying and true than Rhinehart's blustering. "Tch. And what would you know? Yer armor reeks of silver spoon. Iye bet you had all that handed to yer when yer were born!" We're deflecting the arguement, I see.

Milleuda opens her mouth again, only for N'Raha to step pase Cirra and plant the butt of his axe right into her forehead. Twice actually, beating the words and conciousness out of the woman. That red aura is still boiling, and he snarls. "Shut up shut up shut up!" O-oh dear.

The crystal green eyes of the Miqo'te look at the others, and that axe is held at his waist level. "...anyone got a problem with that?"
N'Raha     ...for the record, Milleuda /is/ still breathing through her busted ass nose.
Reinhardt Wilhelm     "I grew up to parents that were an engineer and a schoolteacher, I joined the military in order to get a scholarship to univer-" WHELP! In spite of Reinhardt spitting back a rebuttal at the accusation of silver spoon hood. The man's EARNED everything he acquired in his adult life, including his rank and status as a member of Overwatch.

Then again, that doesn't matter, as N'raha shut the bandit up pretty promptly. "I suppose that settles that. Shall we turn her in, then? The bounty for her alive could be quite substantial..." He's not exactly the mercenary type himself, but he DOES know N'Raha may not share his nobility and honor.
Cirra Constantine     Cirra shrugs and steps over Milleuda's unconcious body. "She failed to disappear when given the option. I was either going to tell her where I came from, or take off my armor and beat her with my own hands."
Reize Seatlan      Everything is getting heated. Reize's boomerangs are ready, just waiting for a chance to attack if she plans to get up again. Reize is pumped. He is ready! He is...

Oh hey, she's out like a light.

Reize looks over towards the group and he offers a faint smile, "... Why don't we turn her in alive?" The boy suggests, "...No one has to die here if it can be helped, right?"
Alden Alden winces as he sees the way Milleuda is 'calmed', "I agree with Reize, I think turning her in might be better?" he says softly.
N'Raha     The catman looks up, as murmuring starts to gather in the caves again. They still weren't alone, and some braver voices start to call out in revenge, to save the boss, everything like that. N'Raha holds up his axe in an executioner's stance over the prone gladiator, glaring up at the cavern. "Make a choice, people, we're running out of time before they get shirty..."
Cirra Constantine 5r    Cirra turns towards the cavern and holds up her sword. The blade splits in half with a crackle of electricity as a projectile launches out into the cavern and hits the wall with *BOOM* "Let them contemplate that for a while."

Cirra reaches down and picks Milleuda by the shoulders, and turns around to heft her on to her back.

"We turn her in. Corrupt or not, we are not the law here. Unless you wish to perpetrate the same kind of foolish acts she does."
Reize Seatlan      As Cirra manages to separate them from the other bandits by causing a nice cave-in, Reize exhales a sigh. Boomerangs are placed along his side, then he wipes an eyebrow. "Whew."

As Cirra gives her input, Reize stands firm with his decision, "Agreed. I, for one, didn't come to kill anyone. ...Just to make sure that they are not able to terrorize people anymore."
Reinhardt Wilhelm     "Agreed." Reinhardt nods gimly, "I take no pleasure in killing, nor do I feel it necessary to execute a captive like this. Now we'd better get going, if we're to leave these lands alive."
Alden Alden lets out loud growl as the bandits approach, and seems ready to attack, eyes glowing brightly, when Cirra just... collapses the cavern, letting out a huff and calming down. "I can carry her, if you have some way of binding her so she does no try to hurt me." he says softly, moving closer to Cirra, teh rather large creature just offering some help. "Yeah, I... don't like having to go that far... even back when I was fighting other digimon..."
N'Raha     N'Raha lets the axe fall back to his waist, and he huffs, relaxing as that boom spooks the bandits... And in a slow rumble of energy, that red aura bleeds out of him, nearby debris on the floor clattering for a second. Aether needs a place to go once it's gathered, after all. "Hnnnnggg. Alight, agreed, let's get moving."
Getting out is much easier than getting in, that's for sure. Any bandits they do see seem to vanish into the rocks and caverns. The Corpse Brigade seems to have had enough for the day.

Little Ala Mhigo is a welcome balm from the heat, the cool cavern with the natural spings inside making it moist and soothing for the arriving Heroes. The Immortal Flames officer posted here... seems far more suprised to see the return of Milleuda in mostly one piece than anything else... and payments are made to the Light Party. Gold and supplies for completion of tasks, though N'Raha is also handed some small brass plates.

    FATE COMPLETE???
