Jim Raynor     Backwater Station, as the town is called, has something of a storied history.

Four years ago, it was a military base-turned-refugee town when the Terran Confederacy gave the order for the colonists of Mar Sara to pack up and run like hell for the hills when the Zerg and the Protoss came knocking throughout the Koprulu Sector. Now, four years after the conclusion of the Brood Wars, Backwater Station has shed its legacy as a military base and become a bustling town. For all its hard-edged Terran grit, it seems like it could be any sort of dusty rural town throughout the Multiverse.

Emperor Arcturus Mengsk of the Terran Dominion, however, is extending his reach. Mar Sara must be reminded of its place within his empire. To that end, there's already a sizable contingent of red-armored marines, wargear and vehicles inside the town - yet more are descending within dropships and orbital landers.

Someone, however, appers to be unhappy with the returning landlords. At the southern side of the town, there's a small contingent of motley-looking marines in blue and black trading fire with the Dominion enforcers, and their leader wears a skull-faced visor.

By the shouts of the Dominion grunts, the one in black is named 'Raynor'.
Reinhardt Wilhelm     There's something vaguely familiar about this landscape.

Reinhardt could have sworn he's seen something like this place before on one of D.Va's streams, and the view he has from a Union transport is definitely giving him flashbacks of gameplay from the pro gamer turned pilot's tournament sessions.

"Go ahead and drop me right on top of those red soldiers!" Calls Reinhardt, radioing the Union pilot flying him in. The pilot sounds a bit disbelieving of the order, "You sure? It's a hell of a drop, sir!"

"Just do it, I'll be fine!" THe pilot sighs. "Alright, if you insist. Hold on to your hat!"

Reinhardt will fall from the aircraft like a boom, a parachute only slowing his descent enough to keep the fall from killing him on impact. The marines will find themselves hit by Reinhardt as the knight comes right on top of them, his hammer swung at the nearest Dominion marine in range. "CATCH PHRASE!"
Shigure     A world like Mar Sara is no place for a ship. But heedless of the desert dust pan or the blowing grit, the Shiratsuyu sisters, Shigure and Yuudachi stand atop a ridge, looking down at the fire fight. "Red means dead?" asks Yuudachi, her red eyes flashing menacingly. "Be careful not to hit the civilian structures." answers Shigure, her own blue eyes surveying calmly.

"Alright! Lets start a party!" crows the blonde sister, as she hops over the ridge, and starts skidding down the slope, bringing her hand-held cannon up to bear. "Mmm I wonder which one I should start with?" she asks herself, before firing a High Explosive shell into the middle of a cluster of the red-armoured Marines.

"...So impulsive..." sighs Shigure, shaking her head before following the more energetic girl. "Attention, 'Raynor'. This is Shiratsuyu-class Destroyer, Shigure and Yuudachi, approaching and opening fire on your engaged targets. Approaching at bearing 063, heading 257 at twenty knots. Please confirm."
Karian Icefang     Terran marines weren't the only marines that were coming to this party. Despite having similar looks, gears, and other things, the Imperiums Marines were about to land. Cracking the sky with their drop pods, the Space Wolves rocket to the field. With a heavy THUD, the pods open and deploy their passengers. "Secure the civilans and lead them out." Karian orders simply. He looks over and watches for a moment, before committing to a side. "Engage the red armored soldiers. For Russ and the Allfather!" Shouts the Wolf Lord, leading from the front as he charges for the nearest group.
Ixqor Nathrach The rift would appear only a few paces from the backlines of the Blue Armored Marines, and their rebel leader. Unnatural lightning crackled around the edges of the space tear, and cloud like smoke spilt from it almost endlessly. From the colorful smog came a soldier all his own, armored, somewhat similarly to the red and blue marines ahead of him. Though his was bulkier, broader, and was adorned in various marks and symbols. Upon it's helm were two horns, and skull fixtures in between them. He certainly wasn't from around here. He towered over them, by about a foot at most, and his weapon matched theirs' in size. His armor was a murky blue, with acid green highlights, the symbol of a hydra on his left shoulderplate. And perhaps most striking, was the sword, sheethed at his side. It's hilt was silver, with an eight pointed star glimmering in the mid day sun of Mar Sara on it's end. Something else made it hard to look away from, something that couldn't be seen with one's own eye.
He took a few steps forward, his heavy boots leaving deep imprints in the dry, cracked sand. He took in the sight of the battlefield, noted the sides. Who was winning, who had the advantages, the disadvantages, why they seemed to be fighting. And then, to his surprise, came others from the various factions. A large, no, massive knight, dropping from the heavens, a vehicle of sorts speeding to, and, the Valka Fenryka? Now this intruiged him.
"Hello. Brother. What brings you and your dogs to this engagement?" The Alpha Legionnaire voxed over to his space marine brother before advancing upon the Rebel lines. He'd take no side yet, he'd want to see how these new arrivals pan out first.
Kotone Yamakawa Backwater Station? That town put a chill through Kotone's mind as some memories came up, but she couldn't assume everything would be like the last time. Still she was here. She had an idea of how bad the Dominion could be after all. Kotone had her stealth armour on and was cloaked as she was making for Raynor's marines. She had a feeling of dread but she pushed it away. Raynor needed help and with what data that the Dominion was bad news, while it had fixed some of the sectors old problems things didn't seem to be going so well.

She'll attempt to get on to Raynor's tacnet and speak up.

<<Samsara reporting. You boys could use some help.>>
Jim Raynor      Raynor finds cover behind a parked groundcar as gauss rifle spikes rip through the air around him. He makes a signal with his giant armored hand and a set of Raiders move up, spraying the street with fire as Dominion marines advance with expert precision.

That is, until Reinhardt lands amongst them, swinging his huge hammer. One marine goes flying, sent through a storefront, and his squadmaters open up on Reinhardt with a full auto roar!

A deafening explosion announces the arrival of the Shiratsuyu sisters, blowing apart a small group of Dominion marines. Raynor glances to the sky, not seeing any sign of any destroyers, and then calls hesitantly, "Uh, fire mission confirmed, darlin'! Give 'em hell!"

What he does see, however, are the streaking comets of the Space Wolves as Russ' chosen make their entrance. They run straight into the nearest group of Dominion marines, pitting chainsword against CMC plate. As Ixqor advances on the rebel lines, Raynor gives the order to hold fire on the Chaos Marine - he seems just like the rest of the weird types who've suddenly emerged in Backwater Sation. But that's fine, the Raiders need all the help they can get!

"Sure can!" Raynor calls to Kotone, "We're kicking Mengsk's men off this planet!"

They seem to be successful too, as the sudden assault of Elites sends the Dominion marines retreating out the northern end of town - those that survive, at least. It's only a brief respite though - sensors indicate that there are Dominion reinforcements incoming. A lot of them. Might be time for an ambush.
Reinhardt Wilhelm R    "RAAAGH!" Reinhardt sends one marine flying upon landing, and then the other guys take their shots. They're not idiots, and Reinhardt knows it. He throws up his shield to try and soak up gauss rifle fire, and he hears the howls of wolves not far from his position. He fiddles with radio tech, before he hails the Space Wolves over short-wave radio. "Hail, friends! I could use some assistance with these soldiers, my shield won't hold out for much longer..." he messages, before he drops the shield to boost towards the marines.
Shigure     "Confirming area denial. Shigure, moving north, heading 010. Warning, radar picking up multiple contacts approaching." reports Shigure, one of her fairies signalling with fevered semaphore to Yuudachi's rig fairy. The blonde huffs a bit. "Aww, I was gonna chase 'em through the streets!" she pouts, but shifts course and rejoins with the brunette elder sister. "More friends to play with?"

"Looks like it. Air and ground. If you focus on their land forces..."
"You can take them out of the air!"

The pair look at each other, nod once, then split off again. Shigure hooks her hand cannon on her belt, then unhinges the two large cannon tonfa from her backpack. They swing around, and deploy control grips as her eyes light up with a glowing green-blue aura. "Scanning. Targets sighted. Load Explosive Flak, airburst fuse. Bring secondaries to bear. All gun crew, incoming aircraft." Her rig lights up, tracer fire lancing into the air, while the large cannons in her hands report loudly as they hurl flak shells into the paths of the incoming air targets.

Yuudachi's eyes shift hue slightly, as she charges straight into battle. They leave a mild trail of red as she moves. "Radar reporting, multiple ground contacts. Load HE Impact fuses. Ready torpedoes for full spread launch." A mechanical CLACLANK sounds from her hand cannon and rigging cannons, and with her left hand, she draws a trio of torpedoes from the launcher on her left thigh. They have little grinning shark faces painted on the tips, and the red tails ignite like flares, before she brings her arm up, and hurls them towards the incoming targets. Those flares turn into rocket motors, hurling the high explosive warheads rapidly forwards.
Karian Icefang     The terran marines that run afoul of the space wolves and survive are taunted by the tell-tale howls of the victorious soldiers of the Imperium. As for Karian, he narrows his good eye as he hears the voice of Ixqor over his vox. "I knew it was too much to hope you went back to the rock you crawled out from." He then looks and spots the incoming reinforcements on his scanners. With practiced speed, the sons of russ set up in a line of defence, with heavy bolters prepped for ground forces. "Not sure what all of you others have prepared, but my brothers will hold the line. Our concern should be air forces." He says, marching with speed towards Raynor and anyone else nearby. That is until Reinhardt makes his call. As the knight boosts towards their line, Space Wolves and even Karian himself move in to provide cover and, if someone gets close, a taste of Imperial blades.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is unaware of the Chaos forces here in all the madness of a battle. She's got an idea to help with it and she's going to try to get into the Dominion comms if she can figure out how to get in and maybe fake orders to pull back? She could get some of the goons off the planet with less shots fired right? Then again she could at least sow misinformation. At least that is her plan also she knows there may be automated weapon emplacements she could try to get into. For now she's sneaking about attempting to find such.

<<I'll see what havoc I can cause on any automated gear they have or even their comms.>>

She's aware that the Space Wolves have shown up along with some of Hikari fleet as well. Reinhardt is also hard to miss in this and only now she becomes aware of a certain follower of Chaos. Then again? He'd seemed to have different nature, he actually would talk and has kept his word in the past.
Ixqor Nathrach The chaos sorcerer had reached rebel lines by this point. He gave a curt nod to Raynor before speaking. "So it seems the calvary has arrived, as it always seems to." He chuckled briefly. "I look forward to speaking with you, Once we've driven these aggressors back." Without giving the Rebel leader much of a chance to speak with him, Ixqor began to move again, first walking, and then sprinting into the enemy lines. He was aimed towards the group attacking the brave, and now cornered Knight. But he would not be alone for long, as IXqor joined with the wolves in assailing the Dominion Forces.
He took his bolter in one hand, and drew his sword, a magnificent, and harrowing thing it was. Dark green warp energies sparkled along the blades edge, and soon consumed it in a fire like shroud. The flames took form, appearing much like some terrible snake, with black eyes, and enormous fangs. However, upon closer examination, the daemonic seprent itself wasn't being emitted from the blade, the blade had become the serpent! He lunged forward with the daemon weapon, and the serpent did to, extending to try and grasp one of the Domion Marines around the waste, it's terrible fangs seeking mortal blood. "Drink deep, Jomungandr!" Ixqor called out to his serpentine weapon.
With his other hand he began spraying bolter fire into the crowd of DOmion soldiers, unlikely to kill any of them for sure, but enough to wreak havoc among their lines. "Encircle their lines! Let the Serpents' coil tighten!"
Amidst the battle and carnage, Ixqor paid no mind to the insults his gene brother had thrown at him. Now was not the time for brotherly squabbles, both Ixqor and Karian certainly knew that.
Jim Raynor      Raynor stomps his way to meet with Karian. "You're right. They'll prob'ly be droppin' some air support on our heads any second. Unfortunately, my men and I ain't loaded for that. I think your people are needed with our hammer-wieldin' friend. I'll take my people and lay out the welcome mat for Mengsk's people."

By the sounds of it, the destroyer girls are already laying out the mat. Flak lights up the sky, followed by a spread of torpedoes. A few Wraith fighters fall out of the sky, flaming wrecks, but they're followed by slower, heavier Viking aircraft. Aircraft, however, seems like a misnomer as they transform into giant robots with gatling cannons for arms, plumetting down to engage the destroyer girls at close range!

Reinhardt finds himself reinforced by Karian's Wolves and Ixqor Nathrach and the Dominion marines are cut down in short order. Raynor surges past, his men in tow. "Come on! We need to head 'em off before they get into the town!"

Kotone can find a few old Confederacy relics - missile turrets and other hidden emplacements. The technology is old and simple and easily enough hacked. She could use them to catch the Dominion forces unawares. Of course, their communication network doesn't seem too difficult to break into either - maybe she could confuse them?

As the Dominion make their push into the town, what must be a whole platoon of marines plus a scattering of heavier Firebats and Marauders - and is that a Ghost scrambling up the side of a building - Ixqor gives the other to encircle them and the great serpent drinks deep, fangs ripping through marine battleplate!

"Light 'em up, boys and girls!" Raynor shouts, spraying fire. "This's why they pay us the big bucks!"

"...ain't no one paid me in three weeks," a Raider mumbles.
Karian Icefang     Karian nods toward Reinhardt and gives Ixqor a long stare. He doesn't pay the alpha legionnare any mind, but instead runs with Raynor. Once in place, he also openned fire with his bolter, and so did the rest of the marines when they got in place. "Complain later, shoot now." He says towards the one Raider.
Reinhardt Wilhelm     As the Dominion bootlicks are taken out, Reinhardt hoots in satisfaction at his fellow warriors. "Well met, brothers! Let's take the fight to them!" He seems a natural among the Astartes, as he seems to lead the charge with a steady jog. He points out the nearest squad of enemy soldiers, a fireball from his hammer flung towards the nearest FIrebat. "Keep your distance, this could get toasty!"

Knowing flame throws, Reinhardt's attack might set the Firebat to go off like a walking bomb. Poor sap.
Shigure     "Mmm, so many targets to choose from~!" chirps Yuudachi, grinning as the Viking bears down on her, gattling guns firing heavy slugs around her. "Those are so cute~, Let me show you some real firepower!" the blonde chirps, then with a flash of blue-white light, where the blonde girl was... is the slowly falling, angled hull of a full 300+ft length, and 1.6long ton weight of a Shiratsuyu-class destroyer, looking to simply crush the offending transforming mech beneath its keel.

"... so reckless..." sighs Shigure, before having to dodge her own Viking. "I'm disappointed in you guys." she says, before beginning to sing across open frequencies. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOFhatyCEhQ ). She shifts her stance, and levels her right cannon at the Viking. The cannon emits a KACHUNK, then a report launches an AP shell right at the center of the Viking's mass. She fires a second blank shell from the other cannon, throwing her sideways and clear of the firing arc of her opponent.
Ixqor Nathrach The sorcerer sighed with relief as the marine was sucked dry, his life esscence feeding both his own, and the daemons hunger. But there was much to sate in Jomungandr. WIth a simpel flick of teh hilt, Jomungandr thrashed, and flung the dead marine aside. He looked to Reinhardt, and the Wolves, seeing that their focus had shifted. Hearing Reinhardt's rallying call, and the way he referred to them, he may have mistaken him for an astartes of some other universe, not much different from his own. He certainly looked the part. Ixqor cheered with him, happy to take part in a battle once again. It had been too long. "Ahh! After you comrade!"
Following the crusader, Ixqor assisted his assault on teh clump of enemy marines, extending his serpentine sword out. "Suffer, and be broken!" Ixqor exclaimed, harnessing his psychic powers into firing bolts of wapr energy from teh maw of teh Daemon Serpent. Several orbs of chaotic energy then descended on the marines, hoping to leave them as either melted piles of armor, or mutated spawn, were they paticularly unlucky.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone now seems to be focusing on the turrets she's going to one get them off line for detecting her, they have scanners that might pick her up and she'd not wnat to get shot. So she'll move to bring the turrets off line or to read the raiders as friendly maybe she can turn their scanning system against the Confederates, meanwhile she's going to try to get into the comms but that's going to be a separate attempt.

<<Allied forces I'm working to subvert their automated turrets to hopefully flip them to us or at least take them off line. I have no want to get shot by rapid fire coil guns if I can help it!>>
Jim Raynor      Reinhardt's hammer collides with one of the Firebats and the impact kicks off his tanks of fuel, sending the marine - armor and all - up in one hell of an explosion. Another Firebat levels his huge flamethrower gauntlets at Reinhardt, only for the bolts from Karian's Wolves to put him down, great big holes blasted in his armor.

"Down with the Dominion! Down with Arcturus Mengsk!" Raynor shouts, guiding his Raiders forward. The Dominion forces are caught in the open, exposed, which makes them easy targets - particularly when Ixqor throws out his chaotic orbs, melting them down into piles of flesh-metal goo. Gross.

Some of the Dominion marines dive for cover, but find themselves caught between the anvil of Raynor and his allies and Kotone's newest hammer - the reprogrammed gun turrets. The coilguns open up, and the Dominion soldiers are sent backing and out into the open. More of them all, big red armored heaps.

A heavy round strikes Raynor, driving him back on his heels. "Ghost! Sniper!" Raynor shouts, "Eyes peeled for cloak glimmer!"

Meanwhile, the destroyers and Vikings remain locked in battle. One of them is promptly crushed beneath Yuudachi's bulk, the pilot only barely getting out a 'What the f-' before he never says anything again. Shigure's AP shell lands just as the Viking opens up, chainguns ripping through the ground, and then the Viking detonates, spraying shrapnel.

It looks like the Dominion forces are attempting to withdraw. Surviving marines are attempting to bug out, routing down the northern road...
Shigure     Shigure grunts, a few of those heavy slugs ripping through her uniform as she darts aside. One striking dead center on her stomach, but only leaving a scorched, blackened mark instead of punching straight through like it should have. As Raynor shouts about the sniper, Shigure's Radar sweeps around, seeking out the stealthy assassin. She probably won't get a hit, but the fact someone's looking for them might get them nervous.

Yuudachi makes a soft disappointed sound, as she transforms back from her Ocean Fit-out, the girl stood on the flattened hulk of the Viking. "Aww... I broke it." she chirps, then turns glowing red eyes after the fleeing Dominion troops. "You've now seen the Nightmare of Solomon!" she shouts, leveling her cannons and firing some parting salvoes at the fleeting Terran units. They're not particularly well aimed, more a kick in the arse than actually attempting to do more damage. "Flee before me, cowards!"
Reinhardt Wilhelm     Reinhardt is about to attack the second Firebat, before he goes down to Bolter fire. "Nice shooting!" He calls to the Space Wolves. He'll continue to press the assault, smashing Dominion troopers left and right with thunderous hammer strikes.

It's crazy how he's able to throw these dudes around with his hammer, given they're about the same size as him thanks to their armor. Then again, these guys are clearly not trained in close-combat.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone has managed to get the tureets and they are opening up she doesn't like to think about it but given what the Dominion has been doing? She knows how bad it is. She tries to not think about what she's become. She's really not sure but she can't let this go on and the people suffer but the warning of a Ghost is caught and she's going to try to use the scanners from the turrets she's taken over, to do what she can to find it. She also knows she might be a target for the Dominion and she's going to turn off the guns to let the marines flee. If they are running she's going to let them go. It's just how Kotone is as a person.
Ixqor Nathrach The sorcerer paused in his rampage, hearing Raynors warning of the enemy sniper. "Heads dow! Check your strikes! They must be close!" Ixqor ducked behind nearby cover then, whatever it may be, and sheethed his blade, as it would do him no good against an enemy at this range. He took his bolter in two hands and surveyed the various vantage points, trying to catch even the most obscure inormality in the surrounding areas. He looked to Reinhard briefly and signaled with his left hand towards the allied rebel troops. "You! With hammer, protect our allies from this would be assassin! We cannot allow them to fire freely on us!"
Jim Raynor      Shigure pings the surrounding area. Over the background noise of explosions and people dying, there's the telltale signal of something doing its best to hide itself. One part ECM, one part active camoflauge. That has to be the Ghost, up one one of the rooftops, and sighting down its long rifle.

Reinhardt's right. The Dominion marines aren't trained in close combat. Oh, sure, some of them have huge bayonets on the end of their rifles, but against the Zerg and the Protoss, if they get within arms reach then you've done something wrong. Very wrong.

It's about that time that the Ghost nails Reinhardt with a lockdown round - whether it'll disrupt his systems for a time is anyone's guess. Some keen eyed people might catch the brief flash of a canister rifle, and Shigure might be able to call a target to those who didn't!

The Dominion forces scatter down the highway and over the ridge. Kotone watches them go. They'll be back, but not for a while.
Shigure     Shigure's vision filters down to a small field. A flickering target reticule resolves over a building roof, the null outline of a human figure knelt, sighting down the scope of some kind of weapon. "I found you." she murmurs, before transmitting the location coordinates. She loads High Explosive timer fuse shells, just in case, but holds fire.

Yuudachi moves into the town, moving through the streets stealthily. Well, as stealthy as a teenage looking blonde girl in a black serafuku can while humming and skipping happily at least. The image is quite sinister, what with those balefully glowing red eyes and the serene, unearthly grin on her lips.
Reinhardt Wilhelm     Reinhardt grunts, his body moving sluggishly as he feels the Ghost's shot tag him. He tries to get back into movement, but his motions are stiff and make him useless to pursue the retreating Terrans. "Nnngh, grrrr...dammit, someone take that sniper out!" He calls out, trying to get back into moving again.
Ixqor Nathrach The coordinates were shown on his power armors HUD. Ixqor squinted, after facing the direction of the given point and trained his astartes eyesight on the area. It took a few moments, but he caught sight of the cloaked killer. His bolter roared, sending off at least six shots into the general direction of the shilloutte that he briefly saw. With luck, the ghost would lie a stain on the rooftop. "Target may be down, keep your eyes on that vantage point, I want confirmation that he breathes no more." Ixqor voxed onto a general radio feed.
Regardless of the outcome with the ghost, he stood from his thread and joined the advancing rebel line. He saw no more dominion forces in his sights and lowered his weapon. The fight was won for now. "A descicive victory, but a small one." He voices openly, looking to Reinhardt's haggard movements. "He will need medical assistance, most likely. Have you anyone capable among your men?" The sorcerer questioned the rebel leader, only cocking his head slightly in his direction.
Karian Icefang     Karian was in the midst, chasing off the Terrans, Honest! But the sniper proved to be quite the annoyance. With a whistle, Karian played his trump card. His mighty wolf darted around in the area, trying to sniff out the sniper and do what he was trained to do...and hunt.
Jim Raynor      The conclusion of battle is marked by a high explosive shell finding the building the Ghost had been using as a belltower of sorts, blowing it and the infiltrator to pieces - whether from it or Ixqor's bolts. Hard to tell in the heat of the moment. Raynor whistles. "Nice work. Sniper down."

Raynor nods to Ixqor as he approaches, face hidden behind the visor of his marine suit. "They'll be back, and in greater numbers. Mengsk don't take defeat lightly. We've got a medic or two. You're all welcome to set up shop here for a bit before headin' back to, well, wherever it is you came from. But thanks for the help. Couldn't've done it without you lot."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa now is attemping to use the turrets to help scan for the Ghost. There's a lot of people around and she knows that if she exposes herself? The covert agent will come after them. She knows there are others better able to handle it and she's going let them deal with the direct fighting though maybe she can tracka comm signal if the Ghost is broadcasting to someone?
Ixqor Nathrach Ixqor nodded to Raynor. "Very good. Now, I must admit. I am ignorant on the reasons behind this engagement... Care to enlighten an old warrior?" Now that all was calm, his voice sounded much more cultured and erudite, compare dto his roaring and barking of orders and curses upon his enemies. His bolter was holstered at his side now, and the Alpha Legionnairre reached for his helm, undoing the seals that kept it air tight, revealing his pale, bald head. His eyes were a piercing amber, and his expression was curious, but otherwise stonewalled.
Karian Icefang     KArian narrowed his eye at Ixqor, now that the fight was over. "What could a heretic like you gain from being here, Ixqor?" He asks. He marches back to where everyone was seemingly gathering. With another whistle, the massive thunderwolf Ygdril pads over to his master's side, though the alpha legionnare would find fanged bared his way. He then looks to Raynor and nods. "I am Karian, Wolf Lord of the Allfather's Space Wolves."
Reinhardt Wilhelm     HOO! Reinhardt slowly gets his mobility back, and he arches his back with a painful groan before he approaches Raynor. "I could use some assistance if you have a mechanic, by any chance. My suit's acting up at the moment, thanks to that sniper shot."

He shrugs a shoulder, before looking around. "Raynor, was it? I am Reinhardt Wilhelm, of the Union. Well met!" He claps Raynor on the shoulder firmly, counting on the Terran's power armor to keep him from crumpling over. "What exactly do we know about those Dominion sorts then, hm? I take it they weren't exactly keen on asking nicely for this spot of land."
Jim Raynor      "The reasons?" Raynor asks Ixqor, pulling his visor up to reveal his face in turn. His eyes betray a wearyness that isn't matched by the rugged handsomeness of his features, dark stubble around his jaw. "Hell, what reasons are there then power? Emperor Mengsk abandoned these worlds after Kerrigan kicked his ass at Char. Now, he wants 'em back. And I'm not lettin' Mengsk have anything he might want." He nods to Karian, then to Reinhardt. "Jim Raynor, Raynor's Raiders."

"Technically, it's still Dominion territory - but there haven't been many of 'em aroudn since Mengsk pulled his survivors back in the wake of the Brood War to reinforce 'more strategically important assets'. Kerrigan really did a number on 'im..."

A mechanic pokes and prods at Reinhardt's armor, working to restore operations.
Reinhardt Wilhelm     "Typical tyrant. Goes and abandons his people, then returns expecting them to act like nothing happened." Reinhardt scoffs, prying his helmet to reveal a blinded eye and scar, as well as grandfatherly, rugged features and a weary countenance that isn't dissimilar to Raynor's own. Either way, the aged knight holds out a hand to shake with both Raynor and Karian, Ixqor as well with a smile. Poor Ignorant knight. "You fought well today, I'm honored to call any of you my brother." Yes, that includes the Chaos sorcerer.

It shouldn't take long for Reinhardt's suit to get fixed, thankfully. As the mechanic does his work, Reiny can feel his suit's back to normal. "Much better! My thanks, technician."
Karian Icefang     Karian nods towards Reinhardt. "Anytime, brother." He says with a smile. Then, back to Raynor. "Indeed a Tyrant...and an insult to the title. The God-Emperor would never do such. Perhaps we will work together again, Commander Raynor." Then, a final glance to Ixqor. "Traitor." He says with a nod, and walks towards his waiting Thunderhawk.
Jim Raynor      Raynor nods to Reinhardt. "Mm. Somethin' like that." He shakes his warmly.

The Mar Sara Marshall watches Karian go. "Careful with that God-Emperor title," he calls, "Mengsk might start thinkin' he needs somethin' like that!"
Ixqor Nathrach Ixqor sighed, shaking his head, only somewhat pivoting to look in Karian's general direction. "Truly brother have you know manners? To introduce someone else to a stranger like that? And insult them in the same motion! I had thought better of you." THis brought a slight snicker to the canniving sorcerer's face, but only for a few moments. "If you really must know though, brother, I sensed a shift in the warp energies surrounding this neck of the multiverse, I sensed strife, conflict, and so I came. Of course this answer won't satisfy you, your too busy grasping at straws that aren't there. Looking for an excuse to end me no?" Ixqor shook his head once more, closing his eyes as though he were a dissapointed father.
His attention returned to Raynor, and the wounded, newly met warrior. "I apologize for my brothers' rudeness. He refuses to look at things from more than one angle. And, as he so impolitely put, I, am Alpharius. Sorcerer and scholar, at your service. Should I find your cause worth pursuing." He took a curt bow, a hand across his breastplate. His eyes looked up at the hand Reinhardt had extended, and he took with firmly, shaking it with a content expression upon his face. "The same goes to you, Reinhardt. Your holding up well after taking a shot like that. But I suppose I should never underestimate a warrior of your age." The compliment came out genuine, but how coudl one tell if this snake was buttering up some bubbly knight of old, or truly appreciating his strength.
Ixqor then heard Raynor speak of his plight, and nodded, a hand placed inquisitively upon his chin. "Typical of mortal rulers to think themselves so mighty. And I say this with no insult to you and yours, but if he thinks he has right to this land, but cannot even subdue an uprising like this, then he is a weak fool, unfit of his title." Ixqor was disgusted with the explanation given of this mengsk fellow.
And of course, what was a meeting of gene brothers without the passing of deragatories. "Savage." He remarked plainly.
Reinhardt Wilhelm     "Ah, nothing I haven't taken before." Reinhardt chuckles, giving the Chaos Sorcerer a manly clap on the arm. "To be quite honest, I'm unsure if I even want to ask, though I feel like I'm missing a bit of context with this." He says, looking mildly confused at the interaction between Karian and Ixqor.

As Karian leaves, the elderly knight just shrugs it off. "In any case, this Mensk may prove to be a greater problem regardless. A ruler unable to settle these affairs might have more than he bargained for to deal with." He turns to Raynor one last time, nodding. "I will be keeping my ear to the ground, so to speak. If you need further assistance, you need but ask." He hands the Raider leader a communicator of some sort, essentially a set of comm info for easy contact with Reinhardt.
Jim Raynor      Raynor shrugs, and it seems like his powered suit struggles to match the movement. "No offence taken," he tells Ixqor - or Alpharius, as it turns out. "Well, nice to meet you, Alpharius. It's not just a cause," Raynor says, shaking his head. "The thing about causes... Well, they always end up betrayin' you."

Raynot looks out towards the far distance. The horizon, and everything that lies beyond. Mar Sara. The Dominion. Mengsk. Sarah. "He's not weak. I don't doubt he could drop a hammer on us if he wanted. Thing is, the man's gotta watch everywhere else. If Kerrigan wanted to come down from Char and wipe us out, she could. Or if the Protoss came back on the warpath. I bet Mengsk is tied up makin' sure that he's got eyes on both of those things before he worries about ol' Jim Raynor and his band of merry men and women."

Pause. "Or, shit, maybe he's about to hit us with an orbital strike." The brief smile says he's joking.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa deloaks now as she moves to join up with Raynor and everyone else. "He's got to watch everything yes... and Zerg?" Kotone is shivering visably like someone who has seen them in action. Sjhe listens but with the joke that Raynor made of all things about nuking it from orbit she relaxes a little.

"I'd be ... ready for that Commander Raynor. I hope I was at least helpful from keeping your people out of the grinder."
Ixqor Nathrach Nodded Solemnly to Raynor, respecting the wisdom he had to see that all plots are somewhat fickle, and always have a chance of coming back after you. He listened further, hearing various names being given. Kerrigan... Who is Kerrigan. The Protoss? Likely an organization, or perhaps a xenos race. Then comes the dark humor, and Ixqor returns the smile. "Perhaps. But, as far as long term prospects go, I must ask... What is your goal out here, Raynor. You push back this unstoppable force with a minute man force, and I commend you for this. But you must have a goal in mind that is just mere subsistence. Something... Greater you aspire to. No?" Ixqor leaned in slightly closer, speaking in a worried tone almost, as if Raynor may be making a mistaken in not having planned for the future. Then another came, a woman, uncloaked. Ixqor had sensed her pressence, but assumed she was part of crowd. She seemed interesting at best. A Subordinate perhaps? The zerg.... Another Xenos race perhaps. And the way that word made her shiver. Clearly they were a force to be reckoned with. "Ah. I believe it was you who sent the coordinates on the sniper to us. You did well, miss." Ixqor bows his head briefly, keeping a rather respectful demeanor for a man of the eight fold path.
Jim Raynor      "Goal?" Raynor asks, like he's heard the idea for the first time. "Easy. Fight 'em until we can't. Ain't nothin' to do but finish what we all started back on Tarsonis." He's not quite lying but he's definitely not telling the whole truth either.

"You're right. I've just got this tiny force, using old hardware and older hand-me-downs from the last poor guy to bite it. If I have a goal, it's makin' life hell for Mengsk."
Ixqor Nathrach It was smaller than Ixqor had hopped, but he nodded in agreement. "A grand act of defiance then. I can respect that. Your rebellion shall serve as a clarion call to the others under Mengsk's rule. Perhaps they too will see the light." His arms folded across his breastplate. "I know that I support you fight, as futile it may be in the end." He chuckled. "Who knows. WIth all of these would be heroes showing up from the nether, perhaps you are not without a good fighting chance." Ixqor extended a hand. "In fact. I have a proposition. How about I agree to assist you and your rebellion to it's fullest. I am a warrior of a hundred years and more, and have fought many a great enemy. I am also a sorcerer, and wielder of great, wonderful powers. In return, should you get this operation off teh ground so to speak, you assist me and finding something I have sought for several years now." The alpha legionnaire smiles, genuinely... Which is more frightening than him being threatening. "Would you agree to these terms?"
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is not comfortable around Ixgor she's seen what many force of Chaos have done she's not sure what he's up to honestly. Or maybe he's looking to him, she had the miss fortune of knowing both what Zerg are it's true. The memory of facing down several Zerglings with only a pistol is a hard thing to forget. If some local terrans hadn't noticed and backed her up? IT would have been bad. She pushes that memory away, Ixqor isn't looking for a fight and by god she's not going to pick one with a Chaos worshiper who isn't actively tyring to smite her. She's polite at least.

"I'm going to see what I can to help around here, there's an armory to loot right? Mr. Raynor?"
Jim Raynor      Raynor looks towards Ixqor. He listen, mulling the Chaos Marine's words over. "Sure," he says, at last, and takes his hand so they might shake on it. "Could always use another hand." And, besides, when you've already made so many deals with so many devils, what's one more?

Raynor nods to Kotone. "Yeah, should be. Heaps of Dominion guys on the ground, too. Try not to take too much, gonna need it to arm some of the militia here for when they come back."
Ixqor Nathrach The sorcerer looked extremely pleased. "Excellent. You will not be displeased. Why, I may be able to bring more to join your cause. SImply give me time, and I shall direct those who would follow my word to you. Be they other travelers of the multiverse, of denizens of my own realm, they should be of good use." IXqor bowed again after shaking the hand firmly. "But now, I can see you are quite busy. I shall allow you to retire for the moment." The sorcerer extended his hand out to Raynor, open palmed, holding a rolled up piece of parchment. "And take this. It is a scroll of summoning. Though you may be no man of magic, merely speak my name whilst holding the scroll aloft, and within a minutes time I shall arrive, ready for whatever task you should deign fitting for me."
Jim Raynor      Raynor nods, although the good-natured smile on his face seems to betray the scepticism towards the scroll of summoning. He accepts it, of course. "Nothin' like a bit of abracadabra, right? Say the name, hold the scroll high, wait a minute. Got it, loud and clear."
