Drowned Ophelia The ocean; When seen from above, it is a smooth torquise jewel that stretches off to horizon, broken only by the occasional reef or sliver of land. If even that. And yet, hours off the coast of Beach City, the waters do not run clear; No, they are cloudy and dark, swirling around themselves around what appears to be an off shore drilling platform. Storm clouds crackle and snarl overhead, lightning forking in webs throughout the bruised and pregnant atmosphere. Winds howl and swirl, flinging salty mist around. And throughout it all-
METAL. Beautiful FUCKING METAL, the guitar releasing the scream of a demon; The sigh of an angel. It's current wielder unseen, but the music pours out none the less. Lightning crashes in time to the trickling sound, the very air itself vibrating in time to distant drum beats and thumping bass. And CREATURES crawl about;
Freakish undead. Building something, drawing things up from the depths as they ready some momument to things beyond this world. Already decorative wing-braces curl outward from the platform, lightning crashing and crackling along its length.
What the hell's this?

Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli had come to see whatever... this... was. Or rather, she had been flying about when she heard whatever this thing was. Was it some kind of Homeworld weapon? They did use music in their fighting. Was it a new kind of weapon? It looked like some kind of weapon. She was flying towards it, confusion etched on her features as she got an even closer at its appearance.

She had no idea what it was. It didn't look like it was something Homeworld. MAybe it was something else? It was messing with her ocean, that was for certain. Should she go to the gems, let them know? Could they even do something about it? Should she try? What if it was related to the cluster? She stood on the edge, where the water swirled. Slowly she reached out, gingerly grabbing the water around herself and trying to stop the massive swirling and maybe find out what this... thing, was supposed to be. "Hello?" she called out. Eh, maybe it was friendly. Steven made friends all the time. Besides, she didn't want to have to fight it.
Drowned Ophelia For perhaps the first time since Lapis had 'come back' to herself outside of the mirror - the waters resisted. There was something -wrong- in them, something tainted and dark. Like toxic sludge, they seem to possess a mind of their own, pulling as if to continue their heedless and chaotic spin. But Lapis is the master of these oceans - she can force them still if she really puts herself into it. The creatures who clamor up and down the construction turn only once to look up; Humans? But pale and all dressed the same, most of them waving shovels or other implements in a vaguely threatening manner before going back to work.

Lightning flashes above, and there - sillouetted atop the tallest tower - is a figure. Pale blue legs dangling off the array, a strange guitar caught in hands, her clawed fingers gliding and hammering away. Wake candles along the machine head flaring and snapping in time to the METAL that reverberates, filling the air and robbing sound. Like a darker, more brutal version of Steven's ukele, in fact. Chin down, as inky blackness drips from her chin and takes the long fall to the waters below. It's almost like a -bad- reflection of Lapis herself! If everything had gone horribly, horribly wrong. The creature lifts its chin, eyes bright in comparison to the dead blue skin and 'running mascara' of Black Tears. She tucks one leg up, slowly straightening upon the crossbar, swaying slowly.

"Hello, child~" Comes the voice, cool and cruel. "Have you come to play in my waters?"
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli stared up at the creature. Okay, she could do this. It's not like the thing was a Diamond. It was just... some kind of corrupted Lapis? No, not that. It was talking. So it wasn't a corrupted gem at all. She took a slow, deep breath and then flew up, her wings spreading out to allow her to fly up to the woman. She stopped only a few feet from her.

"Hello. My name is Lapis Lazuli and you are intruding on... I suppose humanity's oceans. And mine. I'm not quite sure what it is that you are doing, but it doesn't seem very nice at all. And I know that Steven probably wouldn't like it. Would you please stop it? Perhaps instead we could just sing a song? You seem to like that." Oh by the stars she was serious. "If... if you insist on causing problems, I'll have to get the crystal gems. And then they'll bubble you and probably lock you in a mirror for a few thousand years. It's... not pleasant."
Drowned Ophelia "Humanity's oceans?"

Begins the creature, lifting her claws; The Six Stringed Sorrow evaporating like a bad memory. But the METAL continues, pulsing and hammering in the air, just no longer under her direct control. The creature tilts her head, before gigglinga broken giggle. "I didn't see their name on it~" She singsongs. And then Lapis says something very, very interesting-

"Oo. Steven?" Wings curl up from behind the creature as she takes to the air as well - raven wings, invariably, because you can't be super srs goth emo (4 reals u guis) without raven wings. Her black tresses of hair blown by the nasty crosswind, but she doesn't seem to mind at all. Clawed fingers twitching as she lowers her chin. That cold, brittle smile crossing black lips.
"So - you're one of -those-, hm? With the big fat pink bitch who ruined my fun? Steven's such a sweet boy - shame about what'll happen to him."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli blinked a few times. She knew Steven? What would happen to him? "Oh. No. You have me wrong. I don't like that fat pink bitch. In fact, I think she's one of the most annoying, sickest, vilest creatures to have ever walked this world. It frankly makes me sick to know that she's still here. But..."

Her head lowered slightly and her hair covered her eyes. "If you mean Steven any harm, I won't forgive you." Her hand moves out and the water around the spiral moves out. "I will not permit anyone who means Steven harm to reside in my ocean. Because he is far, far better than any of us." When she was finished, it would be as if the spiral was standing alone, surrounded by air and then, about a dozen feet out, the rest of the ocean had pulled back to leave the swirling mass alone.

"And while I'm not a crystal gem, this is still the closest thing to a home I have and I will not-- WILL YOU TURN THAT SOUND DOWN IT IS REALLY ANNOYING WHEN I'M TRYING TO TALK! Can't you play anything softer? It's like listening to Jasper scream in my head, over and over and over!"
Drowned Ophelia "Maybe you just need someone else screaming in your head?"
States the broken creature, white teeth flashing behind black lips. Before she closes her eyes, tilting her head back. "Mm.. no, this - This pleases the fucking Dead Gods of Metal. You can hear their misery leaking through even now." Eyes flick open to watch the waters receed from her whirlpool - which, in and of itself, wobbles and begins collapsing without more of the sea to draw into itself. Brackish, blackened, sickened by this strange woman's touch, with all the pure ocean drawn away. And then she's looking back at Lapis, those black lips turned into a snarl.

Before it clicks. Patience, patience - a greater misery awaits. The snarl smooths out to a thin lipped grimace, before she gestures with a claw. "Mean him harm? Oh.. didn't you know..?" White teeth flash. "We're -besties- now." It's an absolute lie (mostly), but the gem had revealed her heart. Far be it for the Queen of Tears to not try and break it.
"I guess you can call me Ophelia, mm? As for Steven - it's not me that's going to wind up hurting him."
"It's that fat pink bitch we both despise. And her war. Such a tender, easily bruised little heart - and such a cruel, vicious war she's pulling him into. A war without end, without borders. Look up? See that? .. Every star another hurt ready to crush widdle Steven." A soft, dangerous giggle. "Why, he's walking right into it, isn't he? And you know - there's really only one way to keep him safe"~
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli blinked and froze. Her control wavered at that and the waters around them wavered. "I-it... no. It's not. He..." Only HE would befriend something like this. Well, sure she tried. But only because of him. "She won't... I..." Her hands clenched. She said the words she already knew, though. "Homeworld is... it's..." Her resolve was crashing in around her. "I... I don't need anyone else screaming in my head..." she whispered, the first line to cut her. Her own weakness, fear and despair was beginning to rise to the surface. "Her... her war will... I-I don't care. Things are... are different now. When the time comes... when the time comes... I'll take Steven. We'll escape to another place. Somewhere safer. T-there are hundreds, millions of planets out there. Other homes. One of them will be safe for him. Any... any one of them will be..." Her hands were wrapped tightly around hersefl and she was shaking.

Those words had cut deeply. It didn't help that Lapis already had so many wounds just waiting to draw the knife.
Drowned Ophelia A curled, black claw seeks to curl under a downward chin and lift it. Pale blue features, stained with the Black Tears, black lips a thin line. A slight upward curl of a smirk. Such tender hearts, these Gems had! How proudly they hold them out for the first bitch to come and bite. "Then maybe you should do a little screaming of your own first?" Giggles the broken creature, before she gestures with the other hand. Palm up.

"No, you know that won't work, don't you? Not for -Steven-. No, if you want to keep him safe - you have to keep him -home-, don't you?" A flash of white teeth. "Surrounded by the very .. -friends-.. that he's gathered. It's outside his home that he's in danger. Oh, he might be bored, but he'll be safe and sound, won't he .. Lapis?" Tongue touches black lips, as if to taste the word that passes through white, sharp teeth.
"I suppose it'll take some convincing of the other gems as well. But after a few weeks he'll surely see the -sincerety- of what you're trying, won't he? And where better to be than inside, at all times, protected by those who .. well. You get the rest."
"He may not like it, but that's what -friends- are for, isn't it? Keeping each other safe - even if the other person doesn't want it at first. Safe, sound, and secured - locked in his home."

Where, inevitably, the wicked bitch of the west can work her rebellious wiles on a child longing for freedom!
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli froze at those words. Completely. She just lingered in the air for a moment, frozen in place.

"Keep... him... prisoner? Keep him... safe?"

It was as if it call crashed down around her. "HOW DARE YOU?!" she screamed. "YOU THINK I WOULD DO SUCH A THING TO STEVEN?! I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!" she roared, lifting her hands. The waters around them began to swirl around, a new pillar of water rising up around the smaller one as the ocean was slowly drawn in. "You think... YOU THINK I WOULD IMPRISON STEVEN?!" Definitely hit a nerve there. Then slowly a darker smile formed on her lips. "I held Jasper prisoner beneath the ocean for how long. I wonder if I can do the same to you?" And then the waves would crash in on them. Her oceans water, collapsing in on the whirlpool, the lapis' anger, pain, hatred, all crashing in around them like a tsunami of rage. She lashed out with a fury, the same fury she had once unleashed on the gems.

After all, she'd been a prisoner once. And now that girl had unleashed all of that pain at once. But hey, Ophelia had managed to find the mega nerve. Especially considering Lapis was now crying, tears going down her face as she brought her waters in, intent on destroying ALL of... whatever this THING was.
Drowned Ophelia The metal structure groans and buckles as the slamming waters crash into it; When they rip and tear at it with Lapis's fury. The Doom that had clung to the structure, slowly warping it to suit Ophelia's needs, are swept into the tidal pool and disappear into the depths; Being the freakish undead, its hard to say how much they'll be hurt at the end of it. Just as it's absolutely certain that the Queen of Tears cares nothing for their final resting place. She lifts an arm, curling her legs in as she flaps hard against the sudden swirl of Lapis's power. But rather than frowning, or growling, or -anything- one would expect-
She's laughing. Cackling, mad and broken. "I THINK YOU WOULD TO SAVE HIM! But you're going to -lose- him, Lapis! He'll wander into his own doom again and again while he's free. It's the only guarantee - everything you love will leave you in the end! And it will -HURT-!"

The structure buckles, and begins collapsing downwards, drawn into abyss. The water claps with a thunderous sound to shake the world, and for a moment the broken creature is gone.
But neither is she trapped; Her poison remains, drawn down deep, hidden in the abyss, spreading slowly. But the creature leaves behind no gem, nothing to claim and keep. Nothing to fuse.
As alien to the Gems as they are to the Humans, this Tear Drinker with her liquid Sorrow.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli stared down at this wreckage, this destruction. As the waters crashed in and destroyed whatever that thing was. She didn't see any gem, or anything, really. Nothing but that black ichor surround her ocean.

She snorted. "Stupid creature. Steven won't be... anything to you. And now you're gone." She had absolutely no idea. But still, that nasty, black stuff existed. And those creatures. She lowered her hand over the calm sea and, slowly, the water began to rise up, holding the blackness within itself to create a orb of black and blue. Her powers didn't extend to the blackness, but they did to the water.

Once she was certain she'd gathered it all, she held out her hand again. Starting at the core, the water began to freeze, forming a core of solid ice before extending outwards, until the black and blue orb was black and white. "And now you're out of my ocean." She didn't care where she dumped it, so long as it wasn't in her ocean. She tossed it to the land, far enough away she was sure it wouldn't melt and drain into her ocean. She then turned and flew away, satisfied that Steven was safe from... whatever that thing was.
Drowned Ophelia The sphere landed like a dark marble somewhere soft and green. But within its depths, black moved upon black, shades of darkness that swirl and curl. Ice cracks - and the ichor drips outwards.
The flowers will not grow here for months, when the last drop of Sorrow draws itself into the browned flora and away. With the soft, whispered giggles of a broken hearted monster.
