Jet Black The sun is shining, the cool ocean breeze fresh and inviting. Everything sems peaceful, as most breezy afternoons at Beach City are, or at least, how they begin.

One thing that seems out of place is a bright red teardrop-shaped thing floating in lazy circles high in the sky above the many-armed carved temple. A bright yellow searchlight gazes down as the ship seems to be scanning the area.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli was lazying out on the beach, sun tanning. Or, well, at least as close to tanning as a gem can get. Really, she was just relaxing after finishing season 5. Not to mention the recent stress and... well, now she just waited for Pearl to give the go ahead. But that other gem was totally slacking so she was trying to destress.

So of course there was a space ship now. "PERIDOT!" She called out, sitting up and staring at it. "What, errr, did you call yellow diamond again?"
Peridot Peridot was on the beach tinkering with the discarded remnants of a motorcycle. She had found it while exploring the outer edges of Beach City, overgrown with grass and vines and piece by piece she had dragged it back to the beach. One days like this, she missed her robonoids. But, there was something surprisingly therapeutic about embarking on a project like this. She was creating something for herself and her enjoyment alone. A sharp contrast to her old life as a Homeworlder. Always serving the diamonds. Always serving the needs of her species.

She looked off to the side, where she had drafted up blueprints for a side-car. As her name is suddenly bellowed, she jumps into the air adopting a defensive stance. "What!? AH! What is it?"

It's then when she spies the familiar shape of the Homeworld vessel. Her eyes shrink to small dots. While Jasper was scary, the orange gem was essentially cut off from Homeworld because Peridot refused to share Homeworld coordinates with her. Which made the threat Jasper represented very easy to define. She's big and strong, but she's one gem. The sight of the Homeworld vessel meant one thing however. The connection to Homeworld was now much more real. There was no easy way to define the amount of threat it could offer.

"They've finally come to shatter me!" She yells, clasping her hands on her cheeks. "All my careful planning and anti-homeworld measures did nothing! Noooo-hooo!" She runs towards Lapis, hiding her leg. "Plan! I need time to think of a plan!"
Pearl     Pearl is up on the Statue arm again doing yet another load of laundry because somehow the last one ended up full of sand! She looks up to see a familiar ship design and stares at it wide eyed before Panicking, running in circles around the hand while flailing her arms and and screaming, then finally warping back inside the house.

She emerges from the front door a moment later with her spear in hand, only slightly calmer. "What did you do *now*!?" It's not really clear if she's talking to Lapis or Peridot, but blaming Lapis for everything seems to be her default position lately.
Jet Black A stone temple, overgrown and broken, far older than anything erected by puny organic creatures; The graceful visage of a tall and powerful Gem fusion is unmistakeable, but marred by decay.

In contrast, the Gem homeworld ship is sleek, modern, it's advanced technology hidden away by smooth lines and flawless design. The searchlight beam shuts off, and the ship carefully lowers itself to align with the apex of the lighthouse, humming softly as it hovers. An outline of light appears as a circular opening slowly widens on the face of the ship, the light outlining the form of a humanoid figure, hands proudly planted on her hips. She takes a deep breath, a if she's about to make some big proclamation or proud speech, but instead she immediately starts gagging.

"Ugh, this place just STINKS of organic life, how can anyone stand it?"
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli blinked and looked down at her leg. She then looked up at the ship, before looking down at Peridot. Slowly she knelt down and wrapped her arms around her. "Shhhhhh. Shhhh. It's going to be okay. Peri. No one is going to shatter you, I promise. If it comes to it, we can run to the portal." As she spoke, a large cylinder of water began to rise up from the sea.

Then pearl started accusing her. "W-what? I didn't do anything this time! This is homeworld! Not my fault!" The water would form into a large baseball bat and then, at the very least attempt, to strike the craft and send it careening into the sand. "It's going to be fine, Peridot," she said soothingly. She was a litttttle worried by the fact Peri's so called defenses didn't warn them. She was once again planning her flight of the lapis now. Mentally judging the fastest way to take Peridot to the portal. Cause screw Pearl, she can get popped for all she cares... Okay, maybe Pearl too. Also, if the ship landed... she still smacked it. Or tried. Gem and all.
Peridot Peridot rubs her temples. "Okay. Okay. Resources. minimal. Powerful water manipulation, Lazuli. Check. Crazy melee fighter servant. Pearl. Check." Having a giant robot on hand would be handy, of course- she had been wasting her time with motocycle projects.

She looks to Pearl and Lazuli. Neither of which would be able to recognize it. "It's a roaming eye. Homeworld vessel. It's designed for scouting and hunting down mobile targets. These things are bad news, especially if she's here to eradicate the face of anarchy of Homeworld! Me!"

As Jet emerges, Peridot squints. It wasn't a gem she personally recognized. A welcome break after her repeated run ins with Sunstone. For the moment Peridot waits to see how she reacts to this new threat.
Pearl     Pearl gives Lapis a suspicious look. She seems to be telling the truth, so she'll let it go for now. She turns to face Jet with her spear pointed at her threateningly. "This Planet is under the protection of the Crystal Gems!" She states as confidently as she can manage. She's definately got that 'Poof it and ask questions later' look on her face. "State your business and prepare to uh.. face our wrath if you mean this planet harm!" Where's Garnet when you need her?
Jet Black Jet's eyes narrow as she sees the water construct come swinging towards her, she clutches the edge of the doorframe as the ship is tee-balled off the top of the lighthouse. Water splashes everywhere, but the ship recovered before it comes crashing down to the sand below... but not without some significant damage.

"And they say I'M the one with the temper! This is how you welcome visitors to your cruddy little planet? No introductions? No witty banter? How rude!" Jet Black smooths down the frizz of her unruly hair and looks down at Pearl with a condescending smirk.

"Yes, the Crystal Gems! Rebels and traitors and cast-offs. Just who I've been looking for! I'm Jet Black, and we're all going to have ~so much fun~ together!"
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli eeped. "Well, I'm out of ideas." Really, hitting it with water was like, the only plan she had. She glanced down to Peridot. "Should I... do it again?" she asked, cocking her head to the side. If Peridot said yes, she'd do it again. After all, Peridot was their leader! She was still holding Peridot, of course. And slowly shifting their way towards the ocean, where it was safe.
Peridot Peridot blinked at Pearl's declaration. She pulls out her tape recorder and presses the button. "Note to self. Practice declarative statements. Base Intimidation factor amplified by roughly 25%." She pursed her lips looking Pearl over. "Eh. Make that 35."
She cleared her throat, being as she was hauled around like a teddy bear.  Crossed her arms and straightened her legs. Adopting a heroic stance best she could. "Y-Yeah!  If you think they're going to let you take me! Clod Black. You have another thing coming!" She was perfectly willing to let others fight for her, in the meantime.
Pearl     Pearl makes a stopping motion with her hand toward Lapis. it's supposed to mean lay off the water bats until Jet makes her intentions clear. whether that message actually makes it through remains to be seen. She raises her spear slight so that it's not pointing directly at the new Gem Intruder, but she's still ready to attack at a moment's notice. "You.. you want to have fun with us? What?" She looks to Peridot for a moment to see if maybe she understood that. "Alright you'd better start explaining why you're here ...Or Else!" She'll wing whatever the Or Else is when the time comes!
Jet Black Jet Black grins, clapping her hands excitedly, sparks and embers leaping from her hands as they slap together. "The posturing and threats part! Introductions are so much fun. A Lapis Lazuli, the terrified squawking of a Peridot, and, of course, a rebellious Pearl. A Pearl that talks back is certainly new and exciting!"
Jet Black Jet Black says, "I'm not going to take you anywhere, Peridot. The world has changed, the rules have changed. You dirtlovers like this world so much... You can watch as I burn it to ash. Ashes and cinders, Pearl, that's why I'm here!""
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli squeaked a little bit, staring at her and hugging Peridot a bit tighter. "Can... can I hit her with the ocean now?" She didn't mean with the water. She literally meant with the full ocean. She actually sounded a little scared. It was beginning to sound like a full invasion, not just one little attack. She then yelped and let Peridot go.

After all, if this was a real fight, PEridot would need to be able to move. She took a small step back, inching ever closer to the water and shaking a little.
Peridot "Wait." Peridot instructed after a moments thought. Perhaps more so than any other gem, she had soft spot for violent Homeworld gems. After all, until very recently, she was just as destruction oriented as Jet. If it were not for one bad day, she would be welcoming her aboard her warship right now rather than opposing her. She had failed with Jasper. but, she was stubborn.

Looking back to Jet. "You can't." She offers in rebuttal. "Protecting all this miserable dirt is kind of my thing now." She says looking around dubiously. "I mean, yeah I totally get where you're coming from. When I first got here I thought the same thing. That it was all dirt and insects." She grimaces. "And I mean, it mostly is. But theres a whole bunch of other awesome stuff too. And most of them are actually marginally valuable! I've even reduced the value to numerical digits and have a five-point presentation on why it's actually more useful than even the most efficient colony."

"And it's all Far more valuable than cinder and ashe, which honestly has very very limited application. From not just a practical stand point, but even chemically."
Pearl     Pearl's about to start stabbing when Peridot goes off on her speech. She hadn't thought of that and the Nerd in her even respects the work she put into it! Holdiing off for the moment, she grins nervously and starts nodding in agreement with Peri's explanation. thought she does have the foresight to shoot a 'be ready!' glance at Lapis.

"So you see now!" She adds nervously, "There's no reason to be violent and I'm sure we can find a way to share this world amicably!"
Jet Black Jet's eyes dart from Lapis to Pearl, and back to Peridot. Even with the ship, the odds don't look that great; There's an awful lot of water.

Jet rolls her eyes at Peridot's rambling about presentations and digits. She clearly is only half listening "Ugh, of course you have a presentation. I don't CARE if you think dirt and bugs and meat is 'more efficient' than a colony. Burning things isn't about VALUE, it's about FUN! There's always something new to burn!"
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli looked between Peridot and the woman. She then slowly kept backing away until, finally, the water was at her back and she slowly began to sink into it, allowing just her head to pop out of the water.

She was the water queen, ruler of the water. Poseidan quivered before her. She stared at the ship, waiting for it to do... something. Whatever it was, she hoped Peridot had a plan. It didn't seem like this gem wanted to be friends, after all. They needed Steven!
Peridot "Fun?" Peridot's mouth curled a little. When she was a technician, very rarely did she consider her work fun. It was.. well, work. Fun had no intrinsic value to her until she freed herself from Homeworld rule. Her brows laid flat across her eyes as she calculated.

"What do you mean fun? What exactly is your mission here?" The diamonds didn't send gems out to have 'fun'! Gems had a purpose- a specific function they must fulfill to further the goals of the empire and job satisfaction wasn't always a factor. "Which Diamond do you belong to?" Peridot would have guessed Yellow, based on context clues. But the details of Jet's job were obnoxiously foggy to the imperious little gem.  Knowing which Diamond she served would at least narrow it down a little.
Pearl     "Alright that's it! Grab her Lapis! This Jet won't see reason! She can explain herself when we've got her safe in the basement." Pearl's expecting a giant water hand to form and restrain Jet, then she cam just jump up and poof her! Easy right?
Jet Black "Oh, we're being NOSY now, are we? My MISSION is not really any of your business. My PURPOSE is destruction. Gems aren't the only power in the universe anymore, it's a whole new world. You've got to pick a side or you'll be.. Washed out by the tide." Jet pecks on a control panel inside her door, the circular aperature sealing tight.

"Introductions are so much fun, hmm? I'm sure we'll be seeing each other again ~real soon~." Echoes Jet's voice from the ship's broadcast system. A small black energy field appears above the ship, and the roaming eye begins to stretch and warp in the presence of the accelerating gravity field. It's got a dent in it, but it clearly still has it's black hole drive.
