Eryl Fairfax     It's a scorching hot day in Eden as people go about their business. Some tend to their rooftop gardens, others work in the fields. Some are in the grand tower, organizing logistics concerning Eden and other settlements. Others are below the towers, in the giant bunkers, working on new technologies.

But all of this comes to a halt the moment Mitsu Mirage comes into sight. Needless to say, her image had been circulated the moment she made those threats over the radio. Upon being spotted, a call is made, and all work is suspended as everyone hides out in designated bunkers. Eden effectively becomes a ghost town.

And then, a projected voice echoes from all over.

"Mitsu Mirage and companion!" it says, belonging to a woman that neither has heard from before. "You've come to take your revenge, no doubt. We've prepared for this eventuality, and we have a deal to offer you." It pauses for a long moment, so that may sink in before continuing.

"We have Lily Cooper waiting for you at the bottom of a series of bunkers. If you promise not to hurt anyone, we'll show you to her." Another pause, so the two can consider it. "However, we can't just give you to her. So between you and her, there will be defences which includes the rest of the Eden Defence Force team that was present at the operation. They WILL try and stop you, but you have to promise not to kill them, or the deal is off."

"What do you say Mirage? As long as you don't spill any more blood, you can get your revenge. Deal?"
Mitsu Mirage     It was about time that Mitsu finally made good upon her threat, to find Lily Cooper and well, get her revenge of course. After all, she, and the other cops decided to make an outright fool of her to certain people, like her companion here... She parks the vehicle she helpfully took from a previous run and grumbles, "How dare they make fools of me..." she mutters, gripping the wheel tight... "To make a mockery of me to my compatriots... ugh." with a screeching skid to a stop, she 'parks' the vehicle in front of Eden and hops out, a look of disdain and anger upon her face...

At least, it only lasted a few moments as the residents scatter and hide, a chuckle coming to her finally. "Well, at least that's a good response." she replies to the vacating and retreating. Though, the voice catches her ears and she stares ahead. "A deal, huh?" she questions to the disembodied voice coming from somewhere. "What kidn of deal are we talking about?"

When Lily's name is mentioned, it immediate sets the Rabbit into standby mode, quickly equipping her barrier jacket and Kratzenfaust showing its full display... "So what is it, don't hurt them or don't kill them? It's easy to do the latter, I'd rather not MORE blood on my hands than already there, kay?" she scoffs slightly, muttering to Camilla, "I won't be able to use any of my lightning magic, oh well, right?" she perks up and shouts, "And I can do whatever I want to Lily Cooper, right? Just as long as I don't kill your goons, huh? Sounds like a fair deal to me."
Camilla Ulyssa     Camilla is indeed here! That big coat she wears as a cape billows dramatically behind her as she hovers behind Mitsu. Her swords, idle in that big mechanical double-sheath, hang behind her, strapped to her body as usual. She's really just here to JUDGE Mitsu, perhaps hardly, perhaps not, and so didn't intend to help her punch through defenses.

Though if their host insists on having them fire at Camilla too, she can't promise anything. Nonlethality, she can probably handle, at least.

The fox places her hands behind her back, suddenly flipping herself a hundred and eighty degrees to hover upside down, watching Mitsu's response. "You'll be fine, those are pretty big gloves. Just knock 'em out cold. Remember, as long as they're still breathing, it's not a kill!" This is terrible advice, don't follow it. Too closely, anyway.

"So, what ARE you going to do to her once you have her?"
Eryl Fairfax     Through the many cameras and microphones, the woman hears Mitsu's agreement to the deal. "Anything you like... as long as you can get to her. Opening the bunker door now." And indeed, a hatch in the grass to the pair's left opens up, revealing a ladder, descending far below. Lights turn on to shine on the descent, which takes... a while. How far down are these bunkers exactly? Is this a trap?

But finally, they reach the bunker. It's about the length of a football field with a high roof. Every surface consists of white squares of the same dimensions. Can the structure of the room be altered somehow?

But, more importantly, Tabitha Reston is already waiting for them.

She's in a hulking machine body again, this one packing a large shield on her right arm. Designed more for defence perhaps, considering how easily Camilla carved through her with a good spell last time? Furthermore, this body has a large cable trailing from it to the roof. She's plugged in, drawing power directly from the grid.

"Last chance to walk away! This body was made to fight the pair of you!" she bellows, before her helmet emerges from the body.
Mitsu Mirage     "I'll decide when I have her in my hands." she replies, "But yes, I'll just knock them out cold... Kratzenfaust, retract the claws. We're going in blunt force." those claws retract back into the gauntlets and Mitsu's face frowns before jumping down into those bunkers, climbing down when she can... a jump from that height... well... she /did/ jump from that airship down to something a long way down so. She looks down and hops off once they reach the ground and a crack is heard, knuckles popping.

It's also a good thing that Camilla knows this person, because Mitsu doesn't. Therefore, unknown person equals goon equals can't kill. That cable /does/ get a good look from the Rabbit, an idea forming in her head. "Hmm, I wonder..." she smirks, looking at the machine body once more, "Walk away? Bah, I already made that deal, to go back on it would be to dissapoint my Familiar here." she smirks, "Now, c'mon... you're in my way and I'm not going to have it... Kratzenfaust, Shocker Shield."

A chime is given and the mage is covered in a ball of electricity... her standard defensive spell. "Now, do you want me to pound that thing into dust or are you just gonna step aside?"
Camilla Ulyssa     "You found a new body! And it's awesome!" Camilla exclaims, upon seeing Tabitha. Oh yeah, this thing is MUCH meatier (no pun intended) than the last one. THIS is why she didn't try to snipe the head as it floated away, and wouldn't do it today either. People like Tabitha, they're made of 'come back stronger'. They're made of FUN.

Surely their hosts don't intend Camilla to just watch now.

Though with an idle glance she points out, "Hey, I'm no familiar. I'm the genuine article. I make other magic-users jealous of how much juice I have." It's a lot, that's the answer.

"Still! I'll let you handle most of the work. I'll pitch in and set the field up though. Show me how you handle someone who thinks they can take us both on, with just a bit of help! Mars, wake up. Spin the wheel of fate!"

She'd hoped for lightning, as she unsheathed one of her blades, illusionary runes dancing on the surface like the display of a slot machine, before three runes carve themselves into the metal.

<Your fate is sealed: continuous holy shockwave.> the blades (even the sheathed one) announce, with their smooth and flat male voice.
"Ooh. I can deal with that."

Floating behind and above Mitsu, Camilla pulls her sword arm back, suddenly allows a massive amount of magic to flow into it, and then hurls the blade towards the ground. It plants itself in, firmly, and begins vibrating. Shockwaves of bright, searing light ripple out of it towards Tabitha.

Think of it less as an attack and more like a battlefield effect. That's going to tick holy damage until it runs out of mana or gets recalled.
Eryl Fairfax     Tabitha grunts as holy magic washes over. She certainly recognizes this light as what got her last time! "Dammit..." she groans, before planting that shield between her and the blade. At which point, hatches begin to open up on it, revealing tubes. Not just a shield it seems!

"FIRE!" Microrockets erupt from every tube, propelled with magnetism before afterburners engage. Several home in on Camilla's sword, aiming to disrupt this AoE! The rest suddenly split and swoop upwards, fanning out... before homing in on the fox and the rabbit, streaking down on them to explode tremendously!
Mitsu Mirage     So Camilla can do more than a simple fireball, this is going to prove interesting as she readies herself. "Heh, so she can do more. Welp." she eyes the shield a bit as it opens up, "Well, crap. Hey, brace yourself." she shouts as she watches the little rockets fire around! "Shocker Shield, BURST!" she shouts, the shield surrounding her expands violently and cracks, sending bursts of electric magic around her area, hopefully destroying some of those microrockets!

"Kratzenfaust, lets grab that cable, let's see if we can't overload that mech with a good burst of lightning!" <I do not advise this. Probability of killing the target is high on prediction of overload into explosion.> "Damnit..." she growls, taking off in a run, time to go get up close and personal with thie mech-lady! "Okay, look here, you're in my way and I don't appreciate it, now get the hell out of my way and just leave us alone!"

She launches herself into the air and grabs her lost logia, throwing it open to make that pair of black holes, one facing the shield-using woman and one in front of Camilla. Moving to land, a shotgun sound is heard and she shouts, "SHOCK BALL!" launching a small lightning ball towards Tabitha!
Camilla Ulyssa     "Aww come on, I complimented you! At least acknowledge it!" Camilla protests, wanting Tabitha-senpai to notice her. "How many spare bodies do you have anyway? Do you have one even cooler and bigger than this one? Could you have one MADE that's even better?" These are important questions.

Tabitha missiles fly, sadly not answers to Camilla's questions. The second blade comes out, the fox... disappearing. She teleports, straight to her other sword. She's unsure if it could be destroyed that easily-- experience tells her Fas Rota, as a weapon, is close enough to indestructible it doesn't matter. It also tells her not to try to find out at what point that stops being true, as that is a lot of missiles.

A swing of her blade unleashes another wave of light, and then another and another. The blade rings like a tuning fork, almost, each vibration another shockwave. Missiles are scorched, forced to detonate. Those that don't crash into Camilla, who stands in ground, shielding her other sword.

When the smoke clears, she's still whole. A few burns across her face, a fair few more on her clothes. It's a mystery how she's so tanky. Or, really, it's not, she'd answer if asked.

She doesn't attack back; her sword in the ground handles that for her, continuing its rain of inconvenient light waves. Their power IS diminishing already. Tabitha's shield would be up to the task.

Camilla's more concerned about that pair of black holes that just opened, asking Mitsu loudly: "Hey, what's with the holes?"
Eryl Fairfax     It's hard to tell under the helmet, but Tabitha might be glaring at Camilla. "It's none of your business how many bodies I have!" She's probably just a little mad at all her rockets being detonated by the pair's magic. And unfortunately, that opening is enough for Mitsu's hole gambit to work. Tabitha is not able to think with portals, apparently.

The shocking blow connects and sends Tabitha reeling a bit. But she braces her chunky leg and stays standing, before pointing her free hand at the hole, her steel mitts curled into a fist. "PUNCH!" With a woosh of rockets igniting, her hand flies off! Connected by a steel tether, it soars through the hole to streak at Mitsu... before the hand opens to grab at her! If it does, Tabitha retracts to slam the rabbit against the surface the other hole is placed on!

As for Camilla and her reverberating swords, they have that big shield hurled at them, Frisbee-style! It's pretty durable, nothing that can't be cut in half... but given how many explosives were packed into it, does she want to risk that?
Mitsu Mirage     Mitsu growls a bit and lets out a shocked kyaaa as that hand grabs her and slams her right into the surface through those holes. "Ugh! Damnit, ow ow... someone figured them out quick!" she shouts as she is thrown around! But when she's told over the radio about that head... she breaks free of that hand and hops up into the air, aiming at that cable... "I'm going to shock that cable so hard the city's gonna black out ten times over!" there's quite a few shotgun sounds as the cartridges are loaded with magic.

"SHOCKER BREAKER!" she shouts, letting a massive ball of lightning at the cable connecting to the wall /and/ Tabitha, hoping that it'll course through not only the area here but also into that damnable mech and blow it up or disable it! "I'm done, I'm done with you being in my way, now GET LOST!"
Camilla Ulyssa     "But it IS my business! I want to fight with them and see if one of them can beat me! Come on, spill the beans, which one's your coolest? And what made you decide you wanted to be just a head that latches onto new bodies?" That is an extreme life style choice, after all. She's curious to know how to come to choosing it!

But she'd better deal with that shield, first.

By the way, the answer is yes. Absolutely.

The holy light has faded by now. The grounded sword is out of mana. Camilla lands, retrieving it. Both blades glow. White, blue-ish energy. It's generic, non-elemental. She crosses the blades to form an X, ready to swing.

    "I should really name this."
    <Cross Slash.>
    "Generic."
    <X-Slicer.>
    "Too easy."
    <Will you just slash, it's not a special attack.>
    "Fiiiine!"

And slash she does. The blades are sharp and cut well as it is. The mana crammed into them, which results in a bright X-shaped blast of magic, is just overkill. Did she even stop to think about the explosives in the shield? Nope. Granted, the mana slashes are going to protect her... partially. There's no escaping the backdraft of fire, shrapnel and smoke.
Eryl Fairfax     Well, that's no good.

The Before Times prided themselves on their power systems, but one never knows with magic. Maybe Mitsu COULD fry their systems, which would be Bad. And considering how easily the pair are dealing with Tabitha's attacks, she does the only sensible thing.

A claw emerges from the cable to grab her head, and then promptly retracts. Her head and spine separates from the body, leaving it standing there as the rest vanishes through one of those panels. But not before she yells at Camilla as she tanks the shield (which does explode, by the way), "So I can keep fighting assholes like you!"

Well, it seems like they won. Not like the body can keep fighting without the head, right?

At least, not until it violently self-destructs.

As it turns out, this wasn't even her strongest body. A lot of systems had been taken out to fit that amount of explosives and engineered shrapnel and flies out when the former detonated, filling the bunker with flames and hot metal.

But once it's over, another hatch opens, permitting the two to go further.

The next bunker is less of a climb, and it is far less open. Two rooms separated by those panels with only a narrow hallway connecting them. It's too dark to see what lies beyond. A very obvious trap, but what is its nature?
Mitsu Mirage     "Don't ever... get in my way again!" she shouts to the now retreating woman... but hey, the self destruct! She ducks and covers herself enough to try and make sure that she doesn't get hurt TOO bad from flying shrapnel. It does cut into her Barrier Jacket and her arm, leaving some blood splatter on the ground, fortunately, it's just hers.

"Okay, that's one.." she grumbles, moving to peek her head down the hatch... shaking her head, "This doesn't seem great but hey, let's do this anyways." and this time, she just hops down, not even climbing... too bored to use the stairs.

"C'mon, let's go." she grumbles, "Can you light this place up?"
Camilla Ulyssa     Additional scorch marks and minor skin burns: acquired. In the wake of the shield's explosion, Camilla's clothes even tore here and there. As the smoke clears, they're mending themselves with magic, good as new. Sadly, the wearer can't just do that, so she'll be sporting those bruises on her exposed skin for a while.

The self-destructing body is, luckily, much easier to predict. Telegraphed, even. Camilla's blades cross into an X again, and a shield of generic blue-ish energy covers her from the worst of the explosion, though a few layers of the barrier shatter like glass before it's all said and done.

She's just happy Tabitha flew off. Maybe she'll get an even better body. She certainly seems dedicated to fighting people! One of those has to be dangerous and exciting.

Without sheathing her blades, she falls back into line with Mitsu after the brief recovery period, down the next hatch and to the next bunker. Upon request her blades also begin glowing bright white and blue, providing light. "Bet you it's a trap! Narrow hallways, poorly lit... there's got to be some ruins-tier traps in here. Gas, spikes, arrows from the walls. Maybe the walls'll try to crush us?" Man that'd be kind of cool, Camilla thinks.
Eryl Fairfax     Into the dimly lit hallway they go. What could possibly go wrong?!

It's not until the halfway point that the spooky noises start. Behind them, the panels on the walls have opened up, issuing tons of scrap metal onto the floor. But more concerning is what lies ahead. For the lights have come on, and the barrel of a very big gun is lined up with the hallway.

At the same time, magnetic field kick in, dragging all the scrap metal behind them into the hallway, flying at high speeds through it, just as the big gun fires a single large round with enough speed that it leaves a trail of fire, purely generated through friction with the air.

Between a rock and a hard place.
Mitsu Mirage     What could go wrong? What could go wrong... everything can in this case. That scrap metal is dumped into the hallway and then there's the light... And a big gun. Mitsu's face falters slightly as she hears the word 'cool' come from her partner for the little thing, "God damnit, this is not cool, this is..." she ducks with that large round being fired... "Holy shit..." she pants, and the magnet is still dragging the scrap at high speeds. "Shocker Shield!"

Once again that shield of hers pops on and she looks around, "Damnit, what to do..." she mutters, rolling here and there to try and dodge them. "Kratzenfaust, scan the area, tell me what the hell's making this scrap go around and what's behind that gun!" Kratzenfaust bings a bit and starts its scanning, "Ugh, I'm... not sure what to do... Camilla, a bit of help here?"
Camilla Ulyssa     C'mon, traps! A giant boulder down a hallway! Something cool and cinematic! Camilla is bubbling with anticipation, and then scrap gets dumped everywhere. Okay, hold your breath, it could STILL be something cool and not just a trash compactor.

    Panels open, a gun fires.
Scrap is being railgunned through the room.

"Yeah! Awesome!" Cool, even! "Mars! Spinny!"
The runes dance again; the first set disappears, fades out, unforges itself from the blades, as colors dance on the swords again until a new trio of runes appear, in the metal itself.
<Your fate is sealed: large ice enhancement.>
    "YEEEEAH, JACKPOT!"

The temperature drops. A tremendeous amount of mana flows from Camilla to her blades, from which frost is bleeding out. They glow a dull white and blue now, until the entire blades are coated in a layer of ice, which keeps growing and growing.

"THINGS I HAVE: THIS! GET DOWN!"

Mitsu had better heed the warning, as Camilla, moments later, performs a Zelda-style spinslash with both blades. Ice shoots out, freezing the air, the scraps, the gun, the walls, possibly even the projectile that fired out of the gun. Mitsu is safe, as long as she ducks, though it'll be pretty cold in the hallway as a result.

Whether it's enough to stop everything is another matter, but there's a hell of a punch on this spell, and it might well leave everything frozen in place, harmless, and fragile.
Eryl Fairfax     On paper, this seemed a perfect trap. Between the flying scrapnel as a distraction and the railgun as the killer, this could have ended it.

But pure random chance is a variable no one can take into account, especially when it's being weaponized.

The hallway is frozen. The shrapnel, frozen. The shell frozen, leaving a trail of formerly heated air frozen behind it, connected to the frozen railgun. The chips of metal continue to fly around, but every tiny bump makes them shatter further, until it's more akin to a bunch of pesky flies than it is a lethal barrage.

But then the perpetrators reveal themselves. William Davidson, Phillip Troch, Jamie Tsu and Bonnie Moon pop out from around the corner on the far end of the hallways, before the gun, with their own weapons raised. They fire, sending a barrage of shots down the hallway!

But this is clearly the imperfect plan B. Much more easily dealt with.
Mitsu Mirage     ...MItsu frowns some, looking towards Camilla. She shakes her head and sighs, could she have done this without her being there? She mutters, looking forward. Everything's frozen and shattering and making it a lot easier to move around and well, survive. She shakes her head and looks forward... and there's people showing up now with firearms... and now they're shooting. "Ugh... they wern't kidding."

Mitsu hops up a bit and frowns, stomping towards the four who's firing. "I'm not going to be stopped, I'm going to get her!" she shouts, some shots grazing her sides, and she winces but stomps forward even more, "I'm not going to have you guys get in my head again!" she shouts, another shot hitting her side and sending a spray of blood, but it's not stopping the Rabbit.

Getting closer and closer, there's a small spark between the two gauntlets and those dagger-like claws return. "Shocker Tazer!" she shouts, launching those daggers to try and wrap around the four and shock them into unconciousness. She's actively trying to control the electricity generated to make them go down too!
Camilla Ulyssa     Now they're being shot at! These guys really don't want Mitsu to get her hands on Lily, huh? Sadly, Camilla can't just spin the wheel again so soon. Mars would complain the weapons need to cool down (this time the pun IS intended) first. Luckily, there's still some ice left, and even if there wasn't, her swords wouldn't have stopped being swords.

Nonlethal agreement still in place. Camilla would point out it's a bit unfair it only applies one-way, but really it just makes this more interesting. More likely to use up her mana. Buys her a few days.

A graze on a cheek, from a bullet. Several hard impacts on her chest, where her Vestis halts the bullets but can't absorb the whole shock. Uncomfortable, but better than being shot through.

The moment Mitsu launches forward, Camilla blinks out of existence, letting the rest of the gunfire hit the wall behind where she used to be. Blinks, literally, as she reappears behind the four men, two meters away. A swipe from one of her swords, angled towards their feet. She's too far for the sword itself to cut them up.

Not too far for the wave of frost that launches out to fail to reach them, though. It's spread, without restraint, but luckily not powerful enough to cause frostbite or worse. Its goal is just to freeze their legs to the ground so Mitsu can go to town. If they struggle hard enough, they could break the ice by trying to walk. Or dodge! That's always an option. The smarter one, usually.
Eryl Fairfax     The rabbit and fox march through the hail of bullets, tanking them with their equipment and bodies. Camilla flash steps up and freezes their feet before they can react! William, the tall dreaded fellow, goes for a knife to fling, only to be tased with the rest. They all slump... thankfully, the electricity melted the ice so they don't fall awkwardly and pull a muscle or something.

Again, a hatch opens, leading down. This leads into a large, dark bunker. On the other end is a spotlight, shining down on a figure. It's hard to tell who it is, as they sit with their back to Mitsu and Camilla. But the hair atop their head is certainly whiteish.

That was the whole team. This has to be Lily... right?
Mitsu Mirage     Mitsu's emotionless right now... this entire thing, and depending on Camilla for a lot for saftey, has kinda drained her. But hey, Camilla's probably kept her alive through this suicide run... and hey, she owed her a few things. Marching through that hatch, jumping down once more, she lands hard and winces... those bullets, that shrapnel and many other things already taxing her but she had to perservere.

Once she sees that spotlight and that figure, she starts to stomp towards it, taking three steps before stopping. "And who are you to get in my way?" she grumbles, staring at the white haired person. "Lily, or someone else? I don't care who you are, you're in my way..." she looks to Camilla, "Stand back this time, this one is mine if it's her."

She takes a few more steps forward, frowning some. "Answer me, please."
Camilla Ulyssa     That went alright.
For a given definition of alright.

Camilla does not object when Mitsu asks her to stand back. She does however quip: "This has trip written all over it. Careful, if it were me setting this up, that body sitting on the chair wouldn't be hers, and it'd be full of like... bombs." Traps are really not her thing, too. Too impersonal. Rude.

She prefers personal combat. It's not even an HONOR! thing, she's just an adrenaline addict.
Eryl Fairfax     The figure speaks. Right away, it's clear that it's not Lily. The voice is male, calm and clear. "Well, since you were so polite, I suppose I'll disarm this trap." He rises, the bunker lighting up properly to illuminate him. The 'white' hair is more a very pale blonde. He walks towards the pair coolly, keeping his palms visible to show that he's not armed.

"Miss Mitsu Mirage, and her companion. I'm sorry, I've not had the pleasure of learning your name. I welcome you to Eden, if not a very picturesque part of it. I do wish it could be nicer but... you did threaten the life of one of our precious soldiers."

He stops, and smiles pleasantly at the pair. "I'm sure you've noticed, but the EDF... well, they try their best, but they're not much of a match for you. So I have to ask... why are you wasting your time here?" He looks to Mitsu and says, "You've made it very clear that the TSAB has aggrieved you in some manner. Do you really have the time to be gunning for everyone who dares to question and oppose you? The Multiverse is full of such people who would; will you attack all of them? Isn't that terribly distracting from your main purpose?"

Next, he looks to Camilla. "You've made your thrill-seeking very clear, and your interest in our Tabitha Reston is very clear. Unfortunately, ReGenesis' full conversion technology is limited. There are stronger people out there, much more suited for a rivalry with someone of your skills. Would they not be more attractive targets?"

Eryl Fairfax smiles again, and awaits an answer.
Mitsu Mirage     Mitsu steps forward more, trap or no trap... she's going to meet Eryl half way. He's unarmed... and she does something a bit bold. Her Barrier Jacket is dismissed, Kratzenfaust goes back to the bracelet... and she's unarmed and depowered right now. If she needed to, she can hop right back in, but she's going to do something... she's just not sure what right now. "I appreciate the welcome, would be better under different circumstances, of course." she gives a brief nod. "I had my reasons..."

Though that smile really makes her want to punch it off his face... but careful Mitsu, who knows what trap was in this room. "They do. They would have had me too, if it wasn't for my partner here." She makes a motion to Camilla and she stares down Eryl... The question does get her, and she stops... she blinks. Why did she come here? It was to get Lily, make her eat those words... at least, that's what she thought she'd do, but with her not here... well.

"The more I know about those who'd defend the TSAB the better." she claims, "Though, perhaps you might be slightly right..." a pause, a shake of her head, "No, not this again.." truth be told, she didn't really wanna be hit by Camilla. Who knows how much that'd hurt. "I still have things I have to do... things that you wouldn't understand." she frowns, though, when she looks at Camilla as Eryl speaks to her, she falls silent, letting her respond...
Camilla Ulyssa     No body full of bombs, that's good news.
No Lily, that's bad news. For Mitsu, anyway.

Camilla, curious, wanders closer to Eryl, after sheathing her blades as a sign of good faith. She inspects him, ponders his words, and then laughs.

"Oh, believe me, I don't put all my eggs in the same basket, ever! Name's Camilla, by the way, but nevermind me today. I'd love to fight Tabitha again! Let her know I said hi. I'm sure she's fine if I see other people too, right? I don't think we have an exclusive rivalry or anything like that."

Well that's one way to look at rivalries.

She muses. Mostly, about Mitsu's behavior. Is she going to give up that quickly? It's not really her place to decide where this is going next.

"So, dead end, huh? What's your name, mister?"
Eryl Fairfax     As much as Mitsu hates it, that smile is not leaving Eryl's face. It doesn't even look all that shifty! "ReGenesis and the TSAB have but one common link; the Union," Eryl says simply. "To be frank, they deal with issues we cannot. Our soldiers are no match for mages, as you have adequately proven. I doubt we'll come rushing to their defence anytime soon. I promise you, in dealing with them, you won't need to worry about us."

The smile shifts, into one that almost looks like genuine concern. "I realize that you don't like this kind of talk, but my intent is to not make you feel guilt, but to see reason. Coming here merely distracts you from your actual target. It's a waste of time and resources, with little to gain from it. The hatches behind you remain open, you can walk away at any time. ReGenesis will not discuss this if you do not, so there is no chance of public shaming." He turns his head to look behind him, where there is a hatch in the floor. "But you were not lied to. Lily Cooper is beyond this bunker. You can continue your quest, but I would have to stop you, and I don't enjoy fighting. If nothing else, consider it a favour to me?"

A quick aside look to Camilla, and a look of surprise crosses his face. "Oh, where are my manners? I am Eryl Fairfax, diplomat for the ReGenesis Corporation. Forgive me, I've slipped a little. I've been... on a long vacation." He laughs at Camilla and says, "I'm sure if you organized something in which lives are not on the line, Tabitha might be a bit more willing to fight you."
Mitsu Mirage     "I don't really like any of this talk, thanks..." Mitsu muttered, walking closer to Eryl, her hands clench in a fist and she frowns. "There's no such thing as a waste of time." she comments, "Every moment I spend here, every moment that I talk to you, the more I learn, the more I can use." she tilts a bit to the left to look behind Eryl and she frowns... "You want a favor?" she questions, "Don't enjoy fighting, huh? Then fine." she reaches back and does a quick right hook to Eryl's face, sharply turning around to walk.

"Let her know that I'm not going to pursue her for now. She's good to do what she needs to do behind her wall of minions." truth be told, getting down here was a task in of itself. "Camilla... let's get out of here. I'll buy you dinner." she comments, "Least I can do for dragging you down this personal hell." she sighs slightly, rubbing her hand... that cheek was hard, that really kinda hurt. She does stop just before she gets to the ladder...

"And Eryl... if you don't like fighting, then I ask... why are you here and why are you in the Union? You can at least answer me that, can you?"
Camilla Ulyssa     "To be fair, I organized neither of the outings so far! I don't intend to give her a choice anyway, so she'd best get used to the idea! I'll push her until she either beats me or can't improve anymore. She doesn't strike me as capable of the latter, so she'd better bank on the former!" Camilla says, chipper, obviously not as bothered as Mitsu by this turn of events.

She watches as Mitsu attempts to punch Eryl in the face. She's curious. She gauges Eryl; no one would stand so close to these two maniacs after seeing what they could do, unless they could match it, or were basically fearless.

She wonders which of the two the diplomat is.

    How he'll handle the blow.
    How much he'll flinch.

She's no robot, no cyborg, but those green eyes of her seem to visually devour everything about Eryl's reaction to Mitsu's blow. And then with a smile, she'll happily leave with the rabbit, if nothing goes south.
Eryl Fairfax     BAM!

Eryl takes the hook to the face. His head swivels, but entirely due to the force of the punch. There is no head-slipping here... but his eyes definitely tracked the punch coming. He wasn't blindsided at all, he just didn't even try to avoid it.

He straightens up, rubbing his injured cheek. He's still smiling. "Thank you for seeing reason. I'm sorry you went through all this." Again, he sounds maddeningly sincere in that statement. He looks to Camilla, and for a moment, the smile tightens around the corners, then relaxes again. "I'll be sure to let her know."

But Mitsu has one last statement to make. The smile grows, just a little. "Because, no matter how much violence and madness there is out there, there's always time to talk things out. I hope you learned that, if nothing else from today." He bows his head to the rabbit and fox. "Have a wonderful dinner, both of you."
Mitsu Mirage     "Always time to talk things out, huh?" she questions, shaking her head. "Sometimes people won't listen, you know. Sometimes you have to force it to happen." she rubs her hand a bit and starts climbing, "I learned a lot today, thanks to you... and to my partner here." she pops her neck slightly, and looks up. "You have a good day, we may meet again, we might not." she takes a soft breath, "Camilla, let's go, I got a place for dinner you'd like."

She quickly starts climbing the ladder, cursing the fact she can't fly... though, in her head she thinks about all this... eh, maybe he's right but she sure as hell isn't going to admit it...
Camilla Ulyssa     So he IS a secret badass.
    The plot thickens!

Camilla remains silent on the matter, at least for now. She'd already voiced her thoughts on radio, telepathically, on the fact Eryl was either badass or a good bluffer. She's sure she'll get to verify first-hand just how right she was eventually!

"Thank you~" she replies to Eryl though, hoping Tabitha gets her message. For now, she's off with Mitsu!
