Scene #4707: An unlikely fusion

Owner	Pose
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli frowned at the screen, rapidly tapping at the controller. She couldn't believe this, this stage was absolutely impossible. With a 'doot doot doot doooot' she died again. She let out a scream of frustration. "YOU WILL DIE LITTLE TURTLE CREATURE!" she yelled. She was beginning to understand why this was a punishment. BUT SHE WOULD WIN AND EARN HER FORGIVENESS! The sound of the starting music played again. To think, at first she'd thought this was just some made up disciplinary action.
Rose Quartz	Rose stands by, smiling as she watches Lapis play. She always seems to consider the actual fun and entertaining stuff to be the worst torments, no matter what other tasks she's set. But Rose has been gentle, and brushes Lapis' hair soothingly as the little blue gem plays.
Kotone Yamakawa	SO where was Kotone? Kotone had been usy but had chosen to drop by beach city to see how people were doing and to catch up with hopefully some of the Gems. She really elt there was more going on too, and she was curious. Either way there she was at the front door knocking. "Hello? Anyone home?"
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli growled and grit her teeth, tapping away furiously. the sad thing? It was only like, stage two. It wasn't even that HARD. It was a really easy game. She just had the hand/eye coordination of a toddler and kept having to look at the controller. Steven would have beaten this stage on his first playthrough. To sum it up, she just sucked. But she was almost there. ALMOST THERE! ALMOST-- A knock roke her concentration. Kotone would be greeted by the sound of it sounding like Lapis dying.
Rose Quartz	"You did great, Lapis. You just have to train a little more. Good hand-eye coordination comes with practice." she says, kissing her little gem on the top of her head. "We're in Steven's room!" she calls, "The door's open, so please come in!"
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa enters wipes her feet off out side and the young cyborg makes her way to the loft that's Steven's room. "IT's good for hand-eye coordination and good for working the brain of a human in general." She grins widly at this and she wtches Lapis pausing at the game she's silent and she cringes. Oh she knows that feeling as she enters the room. "Afternoon, Lapis, Rose."
Pearl	The sound of the temple warp can be heard, and a few moments later Pearl's running up to the bedroom. "What in the stars is all this racket!? Is everyone alright? I heard screaming and crying! And is that the Dondai outside!?" Seeing Rose seems to make everything a little better, and she's quickly at her side, looking at her for an explanation. "Hello Rose! Lapis, and.. Mystery Girl?"
Rose Quartz	Rose Quartz looks up at Pearl with a smile. "I was just training Lapis with one of Steven's games." she says, going to give Pearl a hug. "She's a little frustrated by it, but she's really getting the hang of it!"
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli looked up and saw Pearl charging her. She screamed, tossed the remote in the air and dove behind the bed. Or, rather, tried. It was pushed up to the wall so it took her a few moments to actually... hide... between it and the wall. And wasn't even... She didn't really fit.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa pauses for a moment at Pearl as she's called the Mystery girl. "Oh hey there I'm Kotone Yamakawa." She grins a bit at Pearl before turning her attention to Lapis and Rose. " She pauses for a moment at Lapis and seems to catch on something is off, but doesn't say anything for a moment. "You all right?" Such a loaded question and Kotone has no idea.
Pearl	Pearl just.. stares. at Lapis. "Are we still supposed to be angry at each other?" She asks the blue Gem with a perplexed look on her face. She holds bnoth hands up, "Look, no spears! I won't bite, I promise!" She looks at Kotone and shrugs, "If things were actually normal around here, then something would be terribly wrong!" She offers Kotone a hand, "I'm Pearl, it's nice to finally meet properly."
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli paused and then, slowly, came out. She looked shocked and stared at PEarl. "You're... you're not mad that... that Rose and I fused?" she asked softly, her voice just barely above a whisper.
Rose Quartz	"Hello Kotone," she says, setting Pearl back down and getting Lapis out from behind the bed. "There, you got yourself all dusty, honestly, Steven needs to sweep out under his bed more often." she says, tsking quietly as she brushes the dust off of Lapis' dress. "Would you like a snack of some sort, Miss Kotone?"
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa looks to Pearl nd nods grinning. "It's good to formally meet you as well Pearl, Steven's got to be a handful to watch the boy has a lot of energy to burn off." She looks to Rose grining faintly at the mention of sweeping. "Steven's pretty clean for a kid his age from what I see here. You should have seen some of my siblings and if your offering Rose? Sure!" She looks to Lapis she's clearly concerned but how does she a human even approach this?
Pearl	Pearl might look just a little hurt, but she's doing a good job of hiding it, for Pearl anyway. "Oh it's fine!" She waves a hand dismissively, "Rose was probably trying to show you what a proper Fusion was like, right Rose?" She looks at the large Gem hopefully. She then shrugs at Kotone, "We've never had to raise a child before.. but I'd like to think we're doing a good job. Steven's only almost died a couple of times!" She grins nervously.
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli blinked and lowered her eyes. "N-no. It was... it was to save Steven and I... and I..." She glanced to Rose, then looked away. She picked up the controller and started playing again, though her hands were shaking. "I... I did bad things and... and so I'm being punished," she said very softly. Playing games were her punishment.
Rose Quartz	"Oh yes. She was very bad... But I agreed to let her work for me to be forgiven. I'm not going easy on her, and it's going to be a tough road until she's really earned her forgiveness." she says, with an uncharacteristically straight face. "In fact, at some point soon I'm registering her with the Union as a Probationary Ally."
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa makes mental notes to find out about Fusion later, at least that's her plan. FOr now it's just time to be social and get to know the gems a bitbetter hoperfully. "Given Steven's not going mad with power? I have to say yes you are doing a good job." She looks to Pearl and sighs. "Kids do ... dumb things even normal ones." Still a couple dozen /times/? Then again Steven has powers so she could see trouble comming from there alone as he got a handle on it. She pauses looking at the game looking at Lapis? A punnishment? Well it doesn't seem to be a Kaizo edit of a game, but it isn't one from her world so she has no real idea but she does seem to be concerned by how Lapis is talking about herself.
Pearl	Pearl breaths a sigh of relief for the anxiety she totally wasn't feeling. "Saving Steven? We'll that's just a typical day around here! So why.. I mean, well, if Rose thinks you should be punished who am I to argue?" She sits down next to Lapis and picks up the other controller, thought she's just watching for now, "Oh yes I can see how grueling this must be!" She's trying to keep the amusement out of her voice, and leans over to mock whisper to Lapis, "Put in Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A at the start screen and it'll get much easier!" She winks at her She looks up to Kotone, "I hope you're right, we just keep doing what it looks like we're supposed to be doing and hope it turns out alright in the end."
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli froze in place. "W-w-w-what? You want me to join the union? I-I can't! I can't I can't I can't! People will depend on me! They'll need me for things! W0-what if I mess up? What if I fail? What if people get hurt? No no no no no!" She dropped the remote and shook her head. "I-it was bad enough I-I was there for those... those things. B-but what if I get into another fight like that? What if I... what if I hurt you or... or I attack... S-steven again?" Wait, attack steven? AGAIN?! there was a doot doot doot as she died again. "N-no! I almost had it that time!" No she didn't. Wow, she was really, really bad at these games. She blinked and tried the little code. Then... "Oh, wow, I have so many more lives!" she was going to make it through the first few minutes then, might even win! Her hnds were still shaking, though. The thought of the union needing her... kind of scared her.
Rose Quartz	"Lapis, remember what I said. You work under me now. This is part of how you're going to earn forgiveness. You're going to have people depend on you, so you'd better focus." she says, hugging the little blue gem gently. "Oh My Lapis Lazuli, you're a wonderful little gem. It's going to be a hard road, but I know you can do it. You'll be a probationary member, which means that you're only partly in the union. People will rely on you, but they will also train you and teach you."
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa Says "Hey Steven and Rose have saved my hide, I do want to pay you back for that and as for raising him? I think that's most people raising a kid. I think he'll turn out good at the rate he's going. Given he's not rampanting abusing his powers so far as I have seen." She pauses as Lapis gets the idea of joining the union put on the table. She also sees Lapis is afraid of letting people down. Wait attack Steven again? That gets an eyebrow shot up.
Pearl	Pearl looks skeptically at Lapis, then up at Rose, "Did she actually attack Steven or is that just what she thinks happened?" She looks back to Lapis, "Someone is going to depend on you eventually Lapis. It will go alot better if you're not afraid of yourself and your power when it happens."
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli gulped nervously and nodded, relaxing against rose. She got a kind of distant look in her eyes. "R-right. Forgiveness. I... I guess... I... I'll do what you say," she mumbled softly. Then her eyes wandered to Pearl. Then lowered. "I-I was panicked. Afraid. I-I could feel Rose... in me and... us being one. it scared me so much. I-I panicked and lashed out. There were monsters and I didn't know what to do and I just..." The controller fell from her hands and she hugged her knees to her chest. "I just wanted it to end. For the f-fusion not to be needed. I... I attacked everything and... and... I-I didn't know I was swinging at Steven until it was too late..."
Rose Quartz	"Oh yes. That actually happened. But it had to happen, Lapis. You have to learn to control these feelings, to control your emotions. Use them, and don't be used BY them." she says, holding the little blue gem. "There's an old human saying," she murmurs. "It matters not how straight the gate, Nor how filled with punishments the scroll. I am the master of my fate. I am the captain of my soul."
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa is listening right now to the drama that is playing out but it's serious this isn't a soap after all. KOtone listens and ties to unerstand she starts to look sympathically at Lapis. "You show remores and actually care about the fact Steven got caught up in it." The man who mauled Kotone? Didn't even care even when he was sentanced. Then comes Roses's little poem? Well that's what it sounds like to the human. She's also getting the fusion is /very/ serious to the Gems, that much is clear. In what Contex? She doesn't know after all they are not organic like she started out as. So she can only guess what their lives pre human contact was like.
Pearl	"You need to practice fusing when there isn't any actual danger until we can convince you that your experience with Jasper is the exeption to the norm." Pearl suggests, "When you both trust each other, there's no struggle for control, you just meld into a completely new being for a time. It really can be a wonderful experience! Then the next time you need to fuse, you'll be ready!"
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli looked very confused and worried then. "P-practice... f-fusing?" she asked softly, hugging herself. She thought back to the stress and fear, the monsters. She gulped. "B-but if there's n-no need to fuse, why fuse?" Oh, she knew why. She was just being difficult.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa is kinda getting the fusion issue but she's not entirely getting it. She's still a bit of a derp on it then again humans were not made out of the package to do such. She s9impley listens and tries to learn. "Well I admit? I have to learn to control my body I have now...if i hadn't I'd still be tripping over my own feet and crushing door knobs." She's just honestly trying to help but it's a very odd thing for a human to say no?
Rose Quartz	Rose sighs and tries to think... What was that... Thing that Garnet did? That thing... "Would all of you like to come to my room for a moment? Garnet can do this thing where you get into each other's heads. I can't quite do that, but maybe my room can help."
Pearl	Pearl raises an eyebrow at Kotone, "That's not your original body..? What!?" She blinks, "This is some new multiverse thing isn't it?" Rose soon has her attention again, and she's got hat star-eyed look, "Oooooh, I haven't been in your room in ages!"
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli gulped and gave a nod. "I-I guess it couldn't be worse than fusing, right?" she asked with a nervous smile, watching Rose. She'd comment on Kotone but, wellll... she was a little focused right now. (Sorry!) "Wouldn't it just be better for... everyone and everything if I just never fused again? Ever? Though?"
Rose Quartz	Rose is quiet as she picks Lapis up like a little princess and walks across the room. "Now you'll have to be careful. My room is... A little bit different. It responds to my thoughts and desires, so things might get a little metaphysical." she says as the door glows and opens on a room full of fluffy pink clouds.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa says to Pearl with a grin on her face "Yes, I'm presume your aware of prosthetics for humans? Man made replacements to try and help with the loss of a body part? Well it's like that just we can replace ... just about everything. If your wondering I was badly injured Pearl. It beats the alternative, though it's taken a long time to get used to." Then Pearl is just lost in to star eye mode with Rose and she leaves Pearl to it for the moment she looks to Lapis and rose again she's clearly paying attention. "So sounds like someone's personal online space then?" She will get up to follow however and she just pauses for a moment things were so pink here and the clouds. "This isn't quite what I'd expect but it feels like you could see forever here."
Pearl	Pearl just shakes her head, "Lapis! Why would you want to deny yourself a wonderful thing like Fusion? You're still thinking like a Homeworlder." She sighs, "There's so many more reason to fuse than just fighting!" She's already scrambling back to her feet to follow Rose inside the Temple. She looks curiously at Kotone as she heads inside, "You're going to have to explain that to me in detail later.. it sounds fascinating! Prosthetics here are.. well, I think even the humans consider them primitive."
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli gulped and held onto Rose, her cheeks turning a light blue. She gulped and looked up at Rose. Then pearl. Then down again. "But... fusion is so s-scary. I thought... I thought it would be okay. But then I... then I hurt Rose. I panicked and I just wanted it to be over. I don't see... I don't see how it could ever be safe..." She did need some non-stress related fusions, badly.
Rose Quartz	"You don't need a REASON to fuse. Just have to want to," she says, smiling as she enters. The fluffy cloud room starts to reshape as she enters, happy to have her back inside again. And Rose, having heard it from Steven, attempts to do the whole 'sing to make things better', using one of Stevonnie's own songs... Of course, it's 'Here comes a thought'. Hopefully she helps! Because the player behind her sucks at spontaneous musical numbers.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa says "Sure I will be happy to explain later Pearl. Well true but my world's not exactly normal." It's only a decade and a half from this world's year where she is. Then agian nukes are not raining right now so she might consider this earth a step up in that regard. She's now listening to Rose and Lapis.
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli nodded slowly, listening to the song. After her scene comes out, she looks to Pearl. "Here comes a thought... that might destroy me. So many things I did, and how i harmed thee. The things I felt, that failed to be kindly. Things that I am... are swarming around me. I've never had sight. I've never been in touch. All these things you say, that matter so much..." Her eyes lowered again. "They so confuse me... and I fear I will lose me. I need a moment to find myself but... I've never known myself... Why are these moments always the ones I have to ask myself, where I fall apart?" Her own little lyrics.
Rose Quartz	Holding out a hand to Lapis, Rose dances a little. "In here, we're safe. Nothing can hurt us here." she says. "We can fuse, and it doesn't have to be for anything. We can just lay down on these clouds with our friends around us. And just BE." she says, unconsciously putting an arm around her Pearl. It's been a long time since she was in here with Pearl.
Pearl	Pearl happily accept Rose's arm around her, but she's looking at Lapis with an inspired look on her face, and she holds an arm out to her. It's okay. It's okay. It's okay. It's okay. It's okay. You've got nothing. Got nothing. Got nothing. Got nothing to fear. I'm here. I'm here. I'm here. She looks at Lapis with a mischevous grin.
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli nodded, slowly giving her hand to her. Then she looked around. They were safe. They were okay. She closed her eyes. "If... if you want to try. If you want to... if you want us to..." She gulped and, with her hand on both of them. "If you want us to... try... again. I... I can but... She lowered her eyes. "Promise me. Please. Promise me. You won't let me hurt anyone. Please," she begged softly.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa she watches everyting she listens to the music she looks to Pearl she looks to Lapis and she simply now listens to the song from Lapis in moe than a little bit of shock.
Rose Quartz	Taking Lapis's hand in hers, and taking one of Pearl's, she begins to slowly rotate around the room. She seems to have completely tuned out Kotone... it's a serious flaw of hers. Kotone is human, at least to Rose's knowledge, and when she gets caught up in dancing... And fusion... She tends to tune out everything but her partners. Her gem is glowing as she rotates slowly around the both of them.
Pearl	Pearl follows Rose's lead, squeezing her hand, She twirls around in time with Rose, looking like a slow ballet. She makes sure to pay equal attention to lapis, trying to givbe her reassuring looks. She doesn't try to start the fusion herself, shje just waits for it to happen.
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli followed Rose's lead. In fact, she almost perfectly mimicked Lapis, allowing the larger gem to direct their movements. Well, not perfectly, though. She had her own swish to her movements, her skirt twirling slightly while she moved. She soon began to, slightly, relax. Her eyes closed and she let the other gem guide her. She felt a little panic rise in her, that fear. But it was going to be okay. Both rose and pearl were here. they wouldn't let her do anything bad.
Rose Quartz	Rose's light surrounds them. Their gems glow. Their bodies warp, becoming light. And their light becomes as one. Rose holds them both close. "And we can just roll around and be us." she says as they start to fuse.
Pearl	Pearl just relaxes and lets go. Fusing with Rose is easy, but Lapis? She has to do all she can to mitigate her Anxiety? Fear? Irrational Utter Terror? Staying as calm as possible and just letting her have control seems to be the best idea.
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli closed her eyes and felt her mind slowly being melded with theres. She locked up, feeling themselves being absorbed. Soon, she was in with them. They'd feel her panic rise up, the sea of chaos and fear raging around them. Then... it didn't stop, so much as be buried down. She was just barely, BARELY, controlling herself. Her arms wrapped tightly around herself. Trying to control herself. Her breathing was fast, wild, but she was in control for now. Her eyes were closed and she laid there on her knees, shaking. Trying to calm herself. "It's okay, it's okay, it's okay, it's okay," she whispered repeatedly. They could feel it. All the pain, all the fear. The loneliness. The terror of being trapped a second time. All of it mixing together inside her. Held there. She held her breathing as calm as she could, struggling to maintain herself. "I'm okay. I'm okay." Not to mention her mixed feelings for pearl and rose. A part of her wanted this, though. A large part of her. After a bit she'd get enough control of herself to look up. There were chains in the water though. Familiar chains. Just waiting. So close and willing to lock them both up if something went wrong. If anything went wrong. But she was trying. For now. At least pearl would know her fear wasn't irrational.
Rose Quartz	Oddly, the fusion is stable. For a three gem fusion, it's VERY stable. Hardly any monstrousness at all, aside from way too many arms and a few extra eyes. Inside Mora's head, Rose causes a couch of rose petals to spring up. "Now how's that feel?" she says, snuggling lightly at her girls.
Pearl	Pearl mentally sits on the couch that only exists inside Mora's inner realm. "It feels beautiful to me!" She muses, "Now Lapis, we can feel how scared you are. You need to ask yourself, what is it that your afraid of? You're not trapped, you can separate any time you want. You won't hurt anyone and no one will hurt you. I know it's hard, but just try to let go, and then we can find out who we are together!"
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli hugged herself and, shakily got to her feet. Slowly she came to them, step by shaky step. IT was like watching a newborn gem take their first steps. She gently put her hands out to them, giving a nervous look. "I-I don't know. I really... really don't know. I just... I feel..." She'd move onto the couch, hopefully pulled, and then hug Pearl of all people. "I'm just so... scared... I-I don't know why. I don't know why I'm scared. I-I know you won't hurt me. I know you won't... won't trap me again." The fear was rising slowly, like the tide. "Y-you won't, right? And... and won't let me hurt anyone and... and what if I lose control? What if I make you mad? What if I have to be stopped? what if I have to, what if I, what if what if--" Oh she was working herself into a fine little tizzy, wasn't she.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa watches them talk she watches them dance and see they are lost in thier own little world and then the fusion happen. Kotone /stares/ for a moment her eyes wide, she's never had a chance to just watch the process. Given the nature of the one time she's seen it. She watches in no small amount of awe. She's quite but she's clearly floored by seeing this.
Rose Quartz	"Well this is different," the fusion says, trying not to wreck... Wait, in Rose's room. They can't wreck anything... "Kotone, right? Sorry, this is so... it's so new." she says. "We won't let you hurt anyone. if you do, that's going to be added onto your punishment. So be a good girl. I know it's scary, but we're here for you. Together or apart." she murmurs, hugging them both a little. Inside her own head, it's... calm. She knows Lapis will behave.
Pearl	"You're doing fine Lapis" Pearl encourages, "Now forget about what's inside our head, and take a look at what's outside, look through our eyes, try out our arms and legs! I'd really like to know who we are!"
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli gulped and closed her eyes. Nervously she reached out. She took hold of the body. In fact, she tried to control it completely, taking full control. But then quickly pulled herself back and shook her head. She looked to the two of them, gently reached out and took their hands. Then she tried again. The fusions hands reached out and grasped at the air. She slowly knelt down, touching the floor. She lost control of the movements after a moment and fell over. "Sorry! Sorry!" she said quickly, looking to the two for any sign of disapproval. The fear of failure rising up in her. But... they were slowly wiping it away.
Pearl	"I tried to tell her that the other day! Maybe it only works when Garnet says it?" Pearl muses. From Kotone's point of view this must all look especially bizarre, this giant woman arguing with herself and stumbling about. She extends her awareness fully into the fusion while mentally squeezing Lapis's hand, and picks themselves up off the floor. Then, she squats down to peer at Kotone, "So tell me dear, what do you get when you combine a Rose Quartz, a Lapis Lazuli, and Pearl?" She asks with a wide grin.
Rose Quartz	"Shhh, it's okay. All three of us. We are this thing together. We're not three gems. We're not one gem. We're a totally new experience." she says, agreeing with Pearl. "Let's hold onto it for a while. Just......" "Don't think, feel."
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli nodded and relaxed. She tried to feel and... well.... she had a LOT of feelings. Which they'd feel now, too. Rose and Pearl would likely feel something different for each of them. For Pearl, it wasn't... love. Oh, no. What Lapis felt for her was... so convoluted. It was a mix of love, hate, despair, pain, suffering, adoration, dependence. She needed Pearl, wanted pearl. But... there were so many other things swirling around in her. It was no wonder she'd been so scared of the gem and even kissed her. For Rose there was hate and anger, but most of it aimed towards what she'd done to Pearl and... to a lesser extent... what she'd done to lapis. All of this. Every single bit of it. Being trapped. Being helpless. Being on THIS world. All of it was thanks to Rose, in a way. And she... hated her for it. but she loved steven and... knew that without rose there would be no steven. she closed her eyes and hugged herself. She tried doing what they said. "An... experience. Not three gems. Not one gem. An experience."
Rose Quartz	"You think I don't hate myself? For everything I did? For everything I was forced to do?" she asks sadly. The fusion's eyes start to tear up. "Six thousand years. Six thousand years I've had to live with what I did. What I was forced to do, for the sake of all the life here on earth. What should I have done? Should I have just looked aside while The Diamonds hollowed out this planet?"
Pearl	Pearl lets her feelings go free as well in hopes that Lapis might understand her better. Deep inside, she still thinks of herself as just a Pearl, fit only to be something between a servant and a show dog. Devoting herself fully to Rose after learning what it meant to be a Knight helped for a long time, and then Rose was gone, and she was full of jealousy, sorrow, and a terrible loneliness. All of her feelings toward Lapis are of course pretty recent, There's a deep sense of regret at never knowing she was in that mirror, to the point that she feels like she owes her a debt. There's irritation there as well, but she's irritated by everyone around her from time to time. It's at least clear that the worst she might to is yell at her. Poofing is reserved for Gems that get too much out of hand.
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli glanced to rose and could feel that hatred. "I... I'm sorry... I..." She retreated a litttle, but then stopped. No, that wasn't the way. Not this time. "I-I..." She leaned in a little closer. She gently interlocked her fingers with Pearls. Slowly. Gently. She leaned in. "Pearl... I..." she whispered. Oh gosh was she going to kiss her again? Was she... And then Pearl would feel it. Those feelings of being abandoned. When she'd given Steven the mirror, the fear that she'd been abandoned a second time, just like the had been before she met her. And then she burst into tears and cried into Pearl's chest, bawling. Poor Kotone would see a giant lady, easily the size of a building, break down and have a crying fit. Oh, delightful.
Rose Quartz	Rose just holds her two friends and lovers close, waving a hand, mentally at least, to get a box of tissues. There's not much else she can do or say but sing an old, wordless song. Half vibration and half vocalization, she simply loves them. That's all she can do right now, is love them, help them see their flaws and move past them. The fusion itself is... uh.... reaching out for Kotone like a child would reach for a favorite stuffed toy.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa has seen a Giant Woman form she's not aware of the converstion inside but she's also seen the outward parts. She's not even how it works? Something like this could somewhat happene mentally to cyborgs but ic ould result in the death of the fusers and the birth of someone new that was neither. She listens as the fused being speaks, there was a lot to go take in from talk of a war? Having to live with guilt longer than humanity has had fire? She makes sure to keep out of the Giant's woman's way. How could one deal with feelings like that for so long? Given how long Kotone might live due to her agugmentation? That was sobering for her she took a deep breath as she hers abotu the Diamonds? That's something to notes hollowing out the earth? "Look I...." She seems confused she's not sure how to think but she's pretty sure Lapis or part of her is calking ruight now and she move to try and take hold of what she can of the giant womana and try to hug. It's all she can really do right now.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa sees the Fusion is reaching out for her like some kind of stuffed animal and she doesn't seek to run away or fight what's happening. She gets they need all the emotional support they can get and is more than willing to give it.
Pearl	"I'm sorry Lapis.. I never knew until it was too late, but I want to make it up to you somehow." Pearl says apologetically. Just holding the Blue gem in her arms, as if the fusion wasn't acting crazy enough already! "We need to learn to let go of the past. It's not easy, I've been trying for fourteen years and I still haven't got the hang of it.. and now that Rose is somehow, impossibly back! You have no idea how confusing that is! But I think the mistake I've been making is trying to do it alone." She has the presence of mind to sit the Fusion back down, just in case their odd failing might over wise hit Kotone by mistake.
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli nodded, sniffling a bit. Then she chewed on her lip for a moment before. "You... you still love her... don't you?" she asked softly, shaking her head. "Even though she left you. Evn though she abandoned you. all you can think about is her, isn't it? Even now I'm in the way, stopping her from fusing with her alone, aren't I?" At least she wasn't unstable enough to break up the fusion. Yet.
Rose Quartz	Rose clears her throat. "I never abandoned her. Or at least, I never did. I'm still Rose. Just earlier. And I'm coming to understand the rose that Pearl knows. She didn't abandon Pearl, she became steven. she IS steven. I don't know WHY she did it, but she did, but she's still here."
Pearl	"You.. that is, my Rose, fell in love with a human. There were many reasons, but in essence it was the closest she could come to fusing with a Human. It was an act of love." There's no way to keep the hurt out of Pearl, or Mora's voice. She looks at Lapis, "How could I not? If Rose was shattered I'd spend thousands of years gathering up the shards to try and put her back together."
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli clenched her fists and stared at Pearl. They could feel that anger building. "SHE ABANDONED YOU! She left you for a human! You'd been hers for thousands of years and she just... she just tossed you away, to some human because... because she just found it... interesting. She didn't care how you felt or what you wanted or anything. She just... left you..." And there was that anger ebbing away. She didn't even have the energy to be mad anymore. She went still again, against the pearl. The anger and hurt was less, though. And the fear was almost gone. It was helping. So much.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa thinks on the idea of long lives and that makes relationships quite more complex given how long the Gems seem tohave been alive. Then throwing in a twist of the multiverse to everyone's lives even more complex. She can hear the pain in Moria's voice but she can also get it was out of love? "Love's funny that way it knows no rhyme or reason it simply is..."
Rose Quartz	"I know... Steven mentioned a great deal about Greg, but... Not the why. He seems to be keeping what pushed us over the edge a secret. And... Honestly I don't get it. Greg is wonderful, but he's only human. Like all the other ones. Sure he sings well, but he'll be gone in less than a century."
Pearl	Pearl looks sadly at Lapis, "But she didn't.. not entirely She just.. went away, changed. We had a long talk about the why before it happened, and I accepted it. It wasn't my place to try to get her to change her mind, not that she would have anyway." Of course she's not forthcoming about the why, She doesn't want to accidentally lead this Rose down the same path. And also because it hasn't been revealed in the show yet!
Rose Quartz	The fourth wall rumbles as Pearl's thought process disturbs the fabric of reality.
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli growled and glared. "Of course you didnt argue, didn't fight! that's all you ever did. You followed her where ever. She asked, you obeyed... you asked... I obeyed..." she mumbled softly. She closed her eyes and laid her head on her chest. "I'm scared," she finally said. "I'm scared it's going to start all over again. That the gems are going to come, that we're going to get captured, that I'm going to end up in another mirror, helpless to do anything. That I'm going to have to watch as the world goes around me. I-I'm scared I'm going to have to make choices. I'm scared I'm going to fail. I'm scared I'm going to lose steven and... and you... and... and I'm scared it's going to all be my fault and I'm going to be trapped on this rock forever..."
Rose Quartz	"Lapis... That's the beautiful part of the Unification. You don't have to stay. You can go anywhere. There's not just one universe anymore. There's dozens. Hundreds. You could meet yourself from a world where you, Jasper, and Peridot were the ones who raised Steven." she murmurs... And so does the Fusion. It's not totally stable, talking to itself.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa is stating to get the idea socially while Gems have a lot in common with humans? Other things are just plane different, after all. She hears teh fears laid out. "Your not alone, do you think I'd leave people to be trapped like that? I know what it's like to be powerless..." She sighs for a moment. "Your not alone when the world unified the world changed and there's many more options now. Yet? I know it's hard to deal with bad things that have happened I? I used to hate myself think I wasn't even human anymore...after my injuries."
Pearl	Pearl, and by extension Mora shivers at the thought of Rose's Alternate universe. "If such a place exists I'm staying far away from it! But She's right, You're not trapped anymore, and as long as we're around you won't be again! Rose founded the Crystal Gems on the idea that we could be whatever we wanted instead of being bound to a specific purpose! At the least we'll always be your allies. If you'll let us, we can be your friends as well. If you fail, we'll be there to help you get on your feet again. And we can teach you to have the confidence to do the same thing for others."
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli nodded and then closed her eyes, nestling up against the pearl. The little nudges on the edge of the fusion began to drift away. She smiled and gently sighed. She was actually... feeling rather nice, now. Some of the pain and torment was fading and she was just happy to be here. With them. "Okay. As... as long as you'll keep me safe... and I don't know if that would be a fun world. Steven spends so much time raising me,i'm not sure I could raise him." She then gulped and slowly raised a hand. "Shall we?" she asked. "See... what we can do? Is there any water?"
Rose Quartz	"Of course we can," she says. Outwardly, the fusion appears to calm down significantly, as if resolving its inner conflicts. And there's just one big ball of cuddly gems in her head! "Kotone, we're going to go and see what we can do together, in terms of powers. WOuld you like to COMe with us and watch?"
Pearl	"Pearl's Room has lots of water!" It's technically Pearl speaking, but with their inner conflicts resolved she's starting to think more like a fusion. "Or.. We might have our own room in here now! That's got to be a sight! We should try to find it, I'm sure it's amazing!"
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa is thankful they don't seem to mind what she overheard she will have questions later about things such as the Diamonds but that can wait doe now as she moves to follow the fusion. "Sure thing Just don't let me get lost in here, all right?"
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli nodded and looked to the door. "Should we... leave and--" She paused. "But I don't have a room. Aren't these things made for you? The crystal gems? I think it might mess it up if we did that. Can you..." She paused. "Can we..." Again, confusion. "Can I go to... your... room?" She was still having trouble, grasping that they were one. But slowly the barriers between them were breaking down and she was allowing more of them in. Sadly, she and pearl were a lot alike. So it probably wasn't the best. But Rose was helping her a lot...
Rose Quartz	It's difficult. Rose is used to leading, and being... Restrained has never really been her thing. But she's learned, over several thousand years. And she's putting every bit of that time into practice right now, being gentle and considerate as she directs the giant fusion towards the door. "Every gem has a door. Every fusion and every gem has the potential for a room here in the temple." she says aloud.
Pearl	"Alright, Pearl's room it is." The Pearl part of Mora says. Rose's room should always give the occupant what they want, so the door should lead straight to pearls room, and it's triple fusion sized! They make their way in, and are greeted with a large open space full of platforms and waterfalls atop a huge pool of water. Swords of all shapes and sizes are neatly arranged around the room, and a central feature is Pearl Magical Battle Axe. Just what does it do anyway? There also happens to be a life sized statue of Rose with it's arms in a cradling position on one out of the way platform.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa thinks about the nature of fusion for a moment. "The best guess I have on this? It's kind like a storage device I have that access a pocket dimension." She will make sure she follows after the fusion not wanting to be left behind here at this point. "Away we got and I promise I won't make a mess in here!"
Lapis Lazuli	Lapis Lazuli nodded and walked into the room. As she walked, the water turned to ice under her. As she walked, a massive spear formed in her right hand, a shield in her left. She tossed the shield into the air and caught it on the edge of her shield. The shield spun around, becoming a parasol, massive. The water shot up around them, forming into little balls of ice that bounced on top of the spinning parasol, keep in perfect unison and formation, never falling off the umbrella as they walked. The water drips sparkled around them as they walked, beautiful and majestic.
Rose Quartz	She pauses at the huge cloud-formed door. "Is this... Do we... Do I go?" she asks herself. "I don't know what's going to be on the other side. It's strange... I'm scard."
