Samira Amirmuaz     Once Yang had made her presence known to be picked up by the Skyranger, she was handed off to one of the support staff to lead her down to the second level east compartment. The way down into the bowels of the ship involved a lot of dim lighting and enclosed corridors with plenty of construction equipment around. Everything looks... well. It's a bit rough on the eyes for now. At least they've got a footing.

The compartment itself, though... As Lily had suggested, the entire room was a mess. Metal bits, destroyed machinery, dust, and filth. It's all pleasant, all the time! But she's not alone; Shen's standing inside with her ROVR unit, already trying to start scanning for reusable materials. Once she hears the door slide open, she turns around and nods while waving Yang closer. "Hi, come in. Just give me a second and I'll get your GREMLIN unit started. Please, be careful with him, okay?"
Yang Xiao Long     The blonde brawler waits patiently for the Skyranger to come pick her up, clambering aboard with a practiced ease. Not much different from a Bullhead, really. She grins at the support staffer as she's lead through the bowels of the repurposed cargo ship. She kinda gawks here and there, the inner workings of the Airships back home are generally off limits to people her age, so this is like awesome.

When she's shown into the compartment where Lily's waiting, Yang waves back with a grin. "Heeey. Lily, right? What's shakin'?" She asks, then nods. "I'm always careful with other people's stuff."
Samira Amirmuaz     It seems Lily's not really the one to stop working even when she was talking... The ROVR unit beeps positively twice after a quick scan over an area, which causes Lily to immediately spin around to go diving through the trash to find whatever treasure he'd detected. It's... just a hunk of metal, really. It gets tossed in a bin by the compartment door when Shen comes back.

She makes her way to the corner of the room to pick up another of the levitating devices, as well as the controlling earpiece. THe unit doesn't need much of anything to be activated, what was important was the earpiece that Yang gets carefully handed. "This one's just a loaner. It only responds to basic commands, 'scan', 'go', 'return'... Stuff like that. If you had your own GREMLIN you'd be able to program it with multiple commands, but... Something tells me you're not really a tech girl." Pause, cough. "Which is, uh, fine. That probably sounded a lot more offensive than I meant."
Yang Xiao Long     Yang takes the earpiece carefully, putting it on then grinning at Shen. "Hey, dont' sweat it. I'm not really a techy type, I can just keep my gaunlets maintained and work on my bike." she replies, lifting a hand to clap the engineer on the shoulder. "I guess I'm more of a practical engineer than a theory one." she adds.

The golden bracelet on that arm shifts a bit, probably catching the eye.
Samira Amirmuaz     From the looks of things, Shen was expecting to get thrown aside when Yang hits her shoulder... And really, there might be a way for her to actually do that, but at least she isn't going for it, right? Even so, she winces a bit and rubs afterwards. "That's fair enough. It's what's important to you. That's why I'm doing what I can... That's really pretty." Once she's sure Yang's ready, she motions her over to another crate that happens to be filled with pickaxes and shovels.

At first it seems that Lily's about to leave. "I should get back to Engineering and start fabricating new facility materials," she says, and starts walking out... Only to pause and turn around while tilting her head slightly. "Actually - How /did/ you manage to get those gloves of yours to work? I don't know if you know the math..." She pauses and coughs again. "Nevermind. I guess it's still just hard to understand someone being so strong. Especially someone who could be in high school. Not that I'm judging. Working in my teens is basically what ended up happening to me, too. Just with... tech instead of punching people."
Yang Xiao Long     Yang blinks a bit at Shen, then shrugs with that good natured grin. "I can demonstrate, if you like." she comments, then with a very distinct motion, deploys Ember Celica. The little golden bracelets unfold, extending out along her forearms. How all that fit into those bracelets will probably make Shen's brain weep. "It's mostly to do with the Dust infused into the metal. I dunno all the details, but it works."

Yang then collapses the gauntlets again, before turning to the crate with tools, yanking one out, then pointing to a pile of debris. "Scan."
Samira Amirmuaz     Indeed, the sheer audacity of her just suddenly having full, large gauntlets from bracelets... "Sometimes I wonder if you guys just constantly cheat physics," she comments dully. "Then again, that's not really that far off, huh? I've seen a couple of different Elites by now in combat, and every one of them does things that I can't even fathom. Makes me worried about XCOM if we ever get the Confederate faction really upset with us... Or a lot of scenarios, really."

The GREMLIN obediently floats over to scan the material in question and runs the scan--negative. Full disposal. Even Lily gets back to work. She just can't sit around idle and talk. At least she needs to do something. "Maybe we should visit other worlds sometime... see if we can pick up some specialty weapons. Maybe not, uh... shotgun fist levels, though."
