Rhapsody         Tin Street, 9th Block, Sunset.

After Neva's sudden disapearence the night before, and the realization that no one had seen the blue and red planeswalker, a certain sister was sent to find her. By a stroke of luck, she managed to spot Neva on Tin Street. The report of this causes the Guildmaster to step out into the closing hours, before the Moonlit Market opens, to see if she can figure out the reason behind Neva's sudden departure.
Neva Fernandez The information Sidonia would have recieved indicated that a redhead in Izzet colors had appeared on Tin Street about fifteen minutes beforehand, and judging by her methodical wandering around the market, buying various supplies and stuffing them into a heavily filled backpack, it seemed that she was stocking up for a big trip.

Neva had stocked up on non-perishible foods and various camping supplies already, and she seemed to be looking at survival gear for the moment, contemplating taking a knife with her. She bites her lip as she weighs one of the many knives at this stall, before finding a red handled blade with a blue engraving, and she nods to the stall owner, forking over the last remaining Ravnican coinage that she had. She didn't want to give herself a reason to come back and use it.

Neva gazes into the sky and marvels upon the towers and the smoke, and the flying creatures overhead, and sighs a little bit. "Okay... Time to go... What plane next...? Blind 'Walking is dumb, but it'll be... Anywhere but here..." She closes her eyes and traces her through the air in a circle to begin the ritual, slow gathering mana.
Rhapsody         "Neva Fernandez."

The voice was firm, but concerned. If the planeswalker turns to look at the source, she would see a Guildmaster and her azure, more slender, sister. "Could you please let me know what you're doing?" Rhapsody isn't upset, angry, or even irritated. The look that Neva would see on the Guildmaster's face is one of -concern-. One that Neva may be familiar with if she had been that fly on the wall during the last three months.
Neva Fernandez     Neva freezes, her eyes snapping open and her concentration completely disrupted. She takes a breath before turning around and grinning at Rhapsody, "Oh, hey, Rhapsody! What a surprise!" She rehearsed this so many times, in case someone caught her trying to bail, but especially if it was Rhapsody. "Big coincident that you showed up at Tin Street. Yep!" She grins and puts her hands at her hips, "Never mind me, what're you doing here? Shouldn't you be doing... Guildmastery things! Over in the Aerie! There's a lot of work to do, you know!"
Rhapsody     Cue a very disappointed look. "You realize Sidonia here has been watching you for about 15 minutes..?" The guildmaster gives that a moment to sink in before she continues. "What happened to 'I Shall', Neva?"
Neva Fernandez     Neva's eyes sort of twitch a bit at the reminder that one of Rhapsody's siblings was basically an intelligence expert. Still, she doesn't let this trip her up, "Nothing! Nothing happened to 'I shall', Rhapsody. 'I shall' is getting on great. It's right there with 'Maybe sometime later'." Her speaking tempo is uncharacteristically steady.
She grins and pushes her glasses back up her nose and says, "Anyway, everything's cool now, right? Yunomi's safe and sound, the Mana Nexus is doing grand, you're really getting going as the Guildmaster now, youre scales are red and everything." She turns and says, "Soooo, yeah, everything's good now. I figured I'd just mosey off for a little bit. Explore the Multiverse, go on adventures! That kind of Planeswalker thing."
Rhapsody     "Right under 'sometime later'? That's not I shall. That's procrastinating.." Rhapsody is quick to point out. Sidonia, if Neva turns away, is simply gone when she looks back. The azure sister was always good at that. "So... I just want to make sure I understand," Rhapsody begins, idly wandering toward one side of the street, only to turn around and cross back as she speaks, occasionally looking up at Neva. "Everything is 'cool', we are doing 'great', and you have decided to leave the guild that is willing to support you in everything you do," Pace. "You want to explore other plains, when there are -10- guild sectors here, an upper city, a lower city, and all manner of creatures within," pace. "You were about to leave without even saying good bye.." pace. "You left your radio with a -blistercoil- weird that sounds absolutley confused as to where you have gone." Her pacing stops, turning to face Neva again. "That isn't 'I shall', Neva. Can you please explain what it is that we did to want you to leave?" At this point, she rummages into the coat of her new, far redder, jacket. A moment passes, and she produces a mizzium key with the woman's name on it,

        "Did you forget?"
Neva Fernandez     Neva's reflexive reply is to blurt out, her expression flashing to surprise and annoyance, "I didn't leave it with Bob, he just likes picking up things I drop---!" She cuts herself off now and sucks in a breath once more, steadying herself so she can maintain character.

"Nobody did anything, Rhapsody, I just figured it was time... To.." Then she sees the key, and the facade begins to crumble... " Rhapsody... I appreciate... Everything that the Guild has done for me... That you've done..." Her voice cracking and she turns to hide her face, "But I'm just a bundle of problems that you don't need..." The truth finally slips out, and she grits her teeth, "So... Let me just go... You'll be fine without me..."
Rhapsody The guildmaster's head tilts a little, then she reminds the planeswlaker, "Neva.. do you know what the Izzet League was made for?" Pause. "While, yes, it was made to maintain the utilities of Ravnica, to provide it all the mana, heat, and water it would ever need, there is a second side to the guild that has been glimpsed, repeatedly, since our unification." Another pause.

        "We fix problems."

"Not every problem is simple. Not every equation is solved with mathmatics and pipelines, metal and electricity. Sometimes we have to look -inward- and determine our course forward. I recently culled the guild by 20 percent because I allowed people to join that were in the Izzet for selfish reasons. They just wanted money for their research, they wanted to make weapons, they just wanted to live an Izzet life while producing nothing of use to the guild, or to Ravnica." At this point, Rhapsody reaches out for Neva's shoulder, "No one is perfect, and if you have problems? I don't care. We will solve them. It is what we do."
Neva Fernandez     Neva goes quiet for a few moments, absorbing the words and quietly hoping that Rhapsody might just stop talking and let her go. But Rhapsody doesn't stop, she doesn't just let her go, and Neva suddenly has a hand on her shoulder, at which point she flinches and turns back to the dragon, tears welling up in her eyes, the mask having completely been abandoned.

"You can't solve EVERY problem, Rhapsody! Some problems can't be solved with sufficient amounts of science and explosions! And some problems don't WANT to be solved!" Neva's speaking tempo returning to unrehearsed babbling. "No, some problems just keep growing, and growing, and haunting you, and nothing you can say or do makes any difference, until all you can think of doing is run away, and leave it all behind!"

She throws her hands out flailing, "And when it's all said and done, the problem is probably me all along! And now that I left them, everything is gonna be all that much better without me! Ravnica will be fine without me! Earth will be fine without me! My parents will be---...!"

And there she falters, the dam having burst, tears flowing free. "Fine.... Without me..."
Rhapsody There's no interruption. Rhapsody wouldn't do Neva such a diservice. Rather, she simply listens as Neva finally goes into why she is doing what she's doing. "I'm keenly aware of that, Neva.. or did you not notice the Mana Nexus incident? There was not a single bit of science done when we went looking for her. The one thing we did not do? We did -not- do is give up on Yunomi. I will be -damned- if I give up on you."

Rhapsody keeps that hand on Neva's shoulder, but now her other hand mirrors it. "Neva. When I interviewed -every- member of the Izzet League, one of the questions I asked them was one of loyalty. I asked 'Would you stand beside your fellow Izzet, regardless of what they have done?' If the answer was no, then I told them they were not allowed in this guild. The -same- goes for you. You are -Izzet-. And we will -not- be fine without you." Then she points up, a pair of stars simply gleaming as brightly as they were the day Yunomi came back. "If you leave now? You will -never- get to meet him. We -will- make the world stop to bring him back and you -will- be here to help us."
Neva Fernandez     Neva just sort of hangs her head, she's not thinking proper at this point, having reduced herself to kind of an emotional mess. "Will bringing Niv back... make my parents not hate me for running away?"
Rhapsody Blink. Pause. Rather suddenly Rhapsody just -hugs- Neva for a moment, "Why on Earth would they hate you...?" she asks before stepping back a little. "Neva, I really don't think they would hate you. I think they would be worried sick where you went and would be -elated- to see you again. Have you been back to your world? Did you see -anything- that proved you were being looked for?"
Neva Fernandez     The hug was unexpected, but all in all she REALLY needed the hug. Neva sniffles a bit and after a few moments of thinking through all the churning thoughts, she finally mumbles, "I dunno... They were getting into more fights... Arguing over stupid stuff... Everything was lining up for a divorce... It was like a bomb waiting to go off."

After the second question she pauses, "I... 'Walked to downtown yesterday... It was past midnight, nobody was around... The Dairy Queen was still open, but it's 24 hours... There was a flyer on the tackboard..."
Rhapsody Honestly, not knowing Neva's parents, she wasn't sure what the answer was going to be. Finding out there -are- fliers, however? "See, now..? They are trying to find you. They -do- care for you, Neva, and that proves it," explains. "Just... I can only imagine what that is like to go through. I really didn't get to know my mother and I truly enjoyed the time I had with Niv-Mizzet. That being said, they're -still- family. Even if they aren't getting along, they are still your parents and I refuse to believe that they don't care about you if you found a flier." A pause, a memory is recalled.

"Neva, one of the first times we met, you helped me get out from Nivix. Things were stressful, I didn't know what to do, and we just slipped out and had fun that night.. remember? Thing is, we ducked Sidonia, ducked Thianel, and when I finally went back? There was no anger. There was relief. I really, really think, if you give them a chance? Maybe you'll be surprised by them both.
Rhapsody "And if you want a friend with you when you go back, you'll have one."
Neva Fernandez     The redhead goes quiet, sniffling a little more, but finally seeming to have run out of tears to shed, she rubs her face against Rhapsody's shoulder, mostly to conclude her crying upon it, before rubbing her eyes dry with the back of her hand, and nodding, "I... I could use a friend.."
Rhapsody Second hug! "You'll have one, and as many as you need. All you have to do is ask, Neva.." Rhapsody muses quietly before releasing again. "Just.. stay? We've seen people leave enough. I think it is time for people to -stay- in the Izzet, instead of leave."
Neva Fernandez     Extra hugs! This one is considerably more happiness filled, Neva nods into it and says, "Alright, I'll... I'll stay." A moment after saying that she closes her eyes and mumbles, "Running away is getting tiring.."
Rhapsody That earns the planeswalker a smile from the guildmaster. She also holds up the Mizzium key she had produced earlier, "Then you will need this," she offers. "And when you are -ready-, you let me know. And we will go." she actually gives her a very light poke in the chest, "But no putting it off forever."
Neva Fernandez     The Deckmaster takes the key, smiling a little bit before squeeing it in her hand and eep at the poke, "Fine, fine..." She pauses, "I just... Don't know how I'd explain to them that one of my new friends is a dragon."
Rhapsody     "Multiverse," she says about as matter-o-factly as can be expected. "But seriously.. it'll be odd, there's no doubt of that, but so will explaining what a planeswalker is. After that, I don't think a dragon will be a very big deal."
Neva Fernandez     "I'm from -Earth-! Not a magical girl Earth, or a Super Hero Earth, or a Power Ranger Earth, just... EARTH!" She flails a bit, "I think dragons would be a VERY big deal!"
Rhapsody Wince, hands go up, "Ok ok, sorry, sorry, I just.. ok.." that sort of caught Rhapsody off guard. "Sorry, I ah... maybe .. Richard can give us a pointer or two. His world has been around for about as long as Ravnica.."
Neva Fernandez     Neva rubs her face in into her hand, "Sorry, just... I'm already at risk of looking like I joined a cult, or became a witch that needs burning. This is gonna be weird."
Rhapsody A nod, "Well, again, you'll have my support, and very likely the Izzet's support. Just remember, you can do -anything- if you put your mind to it."
