Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli grinned as she made her waffles! Well, technically they were pancakes. But they were waffles to her because she made waffle mix! And she was getting better, too. I mean, of course the kitchen was absolutely trashed and covered in gunk, BUT! Here's the important part. The waffles weren't super watery AND they had fruit chunks in them! Granted, they had GIANT fruit chunks in them so she still wasn't very good at THAT yet. But she was learning, that was the important part. She had made so many mistakes and now her waffles were actually edible!

So she put some on a plate and ran over the Rose's door, a big grin on her face and knocked on the door.
Rose Quartz The door opens, and a sleepy Rose emerges. Gems may not NEED to sleep, but Rose likes to. So that's why her black jammies are rumpled and her normally pristine pink curly hair is mussed and not as perfect as it usually is. "Lapis? What time is it?" the big woman yawns, streeeeeeeeeeeeeetching out and almost knocking over a vase that Steven had put next to the door because 'it looked nice'. Rose doesn't even notice.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli grinned up at her and held out the waffles. "I made breakfast! And... and celebratory breakfast! Guess what? I BEAT THE GAME! That phase of my punishment is over! The world is conquered!" she said proudly. "All three stages done!" ... three stages. That made up the first world. Of a dozen worlds.

"And I even celebrated with a friend! I had so much fun!" She paused. "Oh, and it's... ummm... a bit before dawn. Why?"
Rose Quartz Rose laughs, hands on her broad hips. "Lapis, that means you beat the first part of that game. But you did a good job getting this far." she says, leaning down to hug her little Blue gem quietly. "Why don't we sit down and eat breakfast while you show me how you beat that part of the game?"
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli blinked. "The... first... part? There's... there's MORE?" she asked, sounding horrified. And then well, soon she was leaning against her and playing it. "I just remembered I can't fly in the game! Oh, oh, and that humans are so delicate so everything hurts them," she said with a nod.

"Oh! and I even tried one of the human 'dates'. Though I think I did it wrong. We just talked. We didn't fight or have any dramatic reveals at all. Oh! And i learned that apparently a kiss on the lips means romance! Even if you DON'T cock your head to the side or close your eyes!"
Rose Quartz Rose Quartz smiles down at Lapis as she heads into Steven's room, flopping down in front of the TV. "Is that so? What do you think about romance so far?" the big, matronly gem asks as she plops Lapis down in her lap for snuggles, eyes almost closed.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli shrugged as she jumped about in the game. She was doing so well! Mostly. Not good. But not horrible. "Human romance is weird. They don't even fuse or anything. They just kiss and hug. But... it is fun to try! Especially with Luna. She is a horrible, awful monster just like me! And was sealed away for a long, long time! We have so much in common!"
Rose Quartz "Is that so? Do you like her?" Rose asks a bit jealously. Who even is this Luna anyways? It's not like she's a gem that can fuse with Lapis and understand her. Well, maybe they are good together... After all, Greg isn't so bad.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nodded. "Mmmm hmm! It feels nice to be around someone who understands you. Apparently she doesn't know how any of these things work either, so we get to learn together! You know about dating, right? You should join us on our next date and teach us what it's supposed to be like! I'd ask Peridot, but I don't think she knows any more than I do. Camp Pining hearts has a lot of detail, of course, but I think there might be more I'm missing."
Rose Quartz Rose Quartz thinks a bit. "Well why don't I take you on a date? Then I can show you how everything goes without having to get us distracted by a lot of other people," Rose says, munching on the breakfast that Lapis made. "This is really good!"
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli gasped, her eyes going wide. "Oh, yes! That sounds great! then maybe you can take Luna on a date, too, and teach her!" She... she really has no idea. "This is going to be such fun! Should we go canoeing? Or meet out in a shed? Or fall into a haunted cave?" She watches too much tv...
Rose Quartz "Hmmm... What don't I take both of you out? Then you can BOTH be my dates! That way I get to meet your friend, take you on a date, and everyone can have fun! Maybe we can show her how to fuse?"
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nodded. "Oh, then yes! Join us on the date! We can have a threesome, right? This will be so much fun!" And then she died in the game and sighed. "I did it yesterday..." She really had no idea what she was saying half the time.
Rose Quartz Rose is loving this breakfast that Lapis made, licking her fingers and making sure she got every last little crumb. "This is really good! Here, why don't I show you how to play a little better. You're not even using your power ups."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nodded, watching her eat. It... honestly gave her thisl ittle warm feeling in her stomach. Watching her enjoy it. "I made extra if you'd like more." She held out her remote. "What are the power ups?" she asked, cocking her head to the side.
Rose Quartz Rose's face lights up with a smile. "Oh I'd love more! This is way better than what Amethyst makes." she says, pointing to the oddly shaped flowers, rounded coins, and other things. "Those things. When you get one, you can sometimes jump further, or shoot fire."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli stared. "WHAT?! I thought those were weird monsters! That is so unfair! The other flowers and mushrooms KILL me! Why don't those ones?!" she glowered. Then quickly ran off, soon returning with like, five waffles, a big grin on her face. And a cup of batter for herself. She liked the liquids so usually drank them straight.

She sat down and started playing a bit more with the remote, humming and then giving a nod. "I ... I see though. It does make it easier..."
