Nagato     It's early afternoon on the Seaport, it's been a few days since that event on Christmas and the Admiral is walking around base, an idle smile gracing her features, content in what the new year may bring to her and the Fleet. She twirls a small peice of paper in her fingers... a linkshell number... then taps on her headpeice. "Takane. Bring Rondel and yourself to the base. I'll have a cruiser escort you to the meeting point on base, I assumne we have a lot to discuss, don't we?"

She lets the signal fade after that before heading to Mamiya's, "Three parfaits." she mutters, heading towards a more secluded area of the building. She closes the curtains and there she waits. Meanwhile, at the docks, Choukai waits for the two summoned.
Yari Takane It's good timing as Yari finishes up her daily training regimine! A swipe of a towel, a sigh, and she clicks the linkshell. "Give me twenty. Meet you there Sanary once I'm presentable."

One short shower later, a quick smoke to calm the nerves, and she's at the docks. No kimono this time, just some jeans, a t-shirt, and a grey overcoat to keep any water off of her. The ninja doesn't bother hiding herself as she approaches after a swift walk over the water. Unless Sanary has her own way to get there easily, she'll offer a good ninja piggyback ride!

Either way she hops onto the docks and lets go of her ninjutsu. Cheating ninjas. Snapping a salute, the ninja falls to attention. "Yari Takane, reporting. Glory and honor, Ma'am. You're our escort?"
Sanary Rondel One to send, one to use. Sanary lets out a satisfied grunt as she finishes the last of her work with the pigs, then turns her headset's microphone one when she hears the call coming in from Yari. "The docks? Uh... Okay. I'll see you there."

An invitation to the Seaport... It wasn't that long ago that Sanary and Yari had been been at odds with the Fleet, and the nigh-180 they've taken towards each other over the past several months still has the healer reeling somewhat. Is this real? Is she being too trusting? With the recent upheaval, maybe it's not such a bad idea, but she's still somewhat on edge even as she approaches the meeting point alongside Yari.

She's also looking rather embarassed by the time they get there, having taken her up on that ride. Flying only really works in short bursts, but not for sustained trips like this! At least the healer's dressed casually today, donning a similar t-shirt and khakis combo of her own along with her older white coat. Spotting Choukai, Sanary mimics the salute with one of her own! "Sanary Rondel. Good to meet you, Miss...?"
Nagato     Cheating Ninjas and Flying Humans.... this world is strange. Choukai stands ready at the docks, giving a salute to Sanary and Yari. "I'm Heavy Cruiser Choukai. A pleasure." she looks between the two and frowns, "I don't know why the Admiral invited you two back on base, but... follow me and nothing funny." she starts pointing in the direction, "Let's get going, it won't do to have the Admiral wait." Seems there's still some kanmusu who don't trust the two...

Choukai does, however, lead the two directly to what looks to be a Resturant. Mamiya's in fact.. She points towards a section of the inside that has its curtains closed, "Admiral is in there. Don't make any trouble please." a brief smile and she goes to sit down, ordering a parfait...

Once the two make their way in, the Admiral's done up in her normal outfit, "Come, sit. I have some parfaits on the way for you two. I believe there's much to discuss isn't there?"
Yari Takane Choukai gets the smallest of smiles. Can she blame them? The fact no one's shot at her from the docks yet is a testament to discipline and Nagato's command. A glance to Sanary. Reach, and a squeeze on the shoulder.

"Keep alert. Relax. We should mostly be fine if we don't wander off." She whispers. The ninja isn't ruling out any attacks of opportunity on a former enemy's base.

A parting salute to the Heavy Cruiser, and then she'll open the curtain for Sanary. Two chairs later, and the ninja the admiral another salute.

"There is. Thank you, Admiral. You're extending trust we probably don't deserve. I won't forget that."

Yari sucks in a breath. Then out, and she tries to look calm.

"Ever since the Upheaval happened, I've been thinking. Admiral. You've been fighting the Abyssals longer than I've been fighting alongside them. Something about the Abyssals always seemed...off. If it weren't for Miss Wo-class, frankly, I would've sought other assignments."

Then a glance to Sanary quickly.

"Why do you think the Abyssals fight the Fleet so hard, Nagato? What drives them? I need to know." She might be asking it directly to Nagato, but she nods to Sanary too. There's a mystery the ninja at least wants a hint at.
Sanary Rondel Choukai's suspicion is actually something of a relief to Sanary for both of their sakes, and she responds to the cruiser with a satisfied grin while holding her hands up lightly to show that she's unarmed. "Your guess is as good as mine. We won't pull anything if you don't." Having someone greet them being all chipper and happy like nothing's ever happened would probably be raising more alarm bells in her head, but this?

This is just fine. Entering the restaurant, Sanary's eye widens slightly at the fact that there's actually a restaurant here at all. "So you /do/ eat... Huh. Good to know."

Not that she's planning on bringing anything to the Seaport or anything.

"Yeah, I don't plan on running around without a go ahead or something. Although if they've got food here..." She hums curiously while looking around some more, eventually turning to face Mamiya once she addresses them. There's a moment of hesitation before Sanary steps in through the closed off area, glancing back over at the Fleet Mom and giving her a short nod. It's only natural they'd be suspicious, after all.

"Don't worry. Not like we're at war or anything now. We'll be good." The healer smiles politely and gives Yari's shoulder a light pat, and then after they step inside the booth proper! Inside, she nods slowly towards Nagato before moving over to pull a chair out for Yari while regarding the admiral. "Thanks for meeting with us. Yeah, there's some... Stuff we need to figure out."

Sanary's more than willing to let Yari handle the bulk of the more serious talk, although she does chime in after Yari. "Are they even still around? I mean... I haven't really been keeping my ear to the ground-er. Water, but-" It makes more sense in her head. "-I haven't even heard from Wo in a while. Did you...?"
Nagato     You can't really blame a suspicious heavy cruiser, can you? Choukai's watching the room intently, she doesn't want anything happening to the Admiral of course, but she has some confidence in her ability to handle things. THough, she's now digging into that huge parfait...

    Meanwhile, in the private area:

"I'm aware. It may have only been a few days, but I'm still not ready to fully trust you, hence the escort." she gives a stoic look to the two and pushes a couple parfaits in front, "I promise they're not poisoned, it's not in my nature. Enjoy them." she listens to the Ninja and the Healer... but Yari gets the answer first. "The Abyssals are offended at the lack of rememberance of our former history. It's through some people that our history is remembered, as those great warships of a time long forgotten... and they want us to ... return to such. To destroy mankind and us for even daring to forget them. Showing the humans that we... that we still existed and that we will never be forgotton."

Nagato sighs, taking a bite of the parfait, "As for Wo... I've spoken to her. I can let you know she, Tsu-Class and I-Class are well and we've ended hostitlities with each other. But that's all I'm going to say, there's things that even I still have to keep secret. As for the splinter Abyssal cells, they're laying low from what I know... considering the split of the Multiverse, we no longer know where or when they'll attack, to say that is distressing is an understatement."
Yari Takane A good pat has Yari finally has her forcing herself to relax. 'It will be okay' is a mantra that goes off in her head constantly. Nipping paranoia can be a bad thing.

And Sanary brings up a huge point, too about a certain Abyssal.

Smirk. "I would not think a woman I couldn't think was an idiot." Cheeky ninja she is! She digs into the parfait heartly. Nomf nomf nomf. No caution here at all.

Nnngh! A few seconds later she's stifling curses and holding her temple! "...Worse than poison. Delicious frozen treats. You're a dangerous woman, Nagato."

After her brainfreeze goes away, she attacks her sugary prey with more respect. As for Wo? "Good.." Slow pause. Frown. Her gaze closes. "I'm going to smack her in that ridiculous hat for not letting us know she's alive, however." Yari definitely sounds very much miffed right now.

Growing a touch more serious, she gives a grave nod. "In otherwords, they're after revenge. Exactly the kind of thing our fight devolved into. We were all just after revenge. Pointless. Entirely pointless, and a stain on my honor."

She licks her lips, and stares blankly into her food. "Having someone you love right next to you, that you feared was lost...wondering where your daughter is. Nagato. The Abyssals won't ever build anything, will they? They'll just destroy. No safety. No advancement and discipline for the conquered. This entire campaign has just been slaughter." Both fists clench until her hands start bleeding.

"Admiral. I don't want to ever participate in that kind of war again. I want to stop that kind of thing."
Sanary Rondel After Yari takes her seat, Sanary shifts over to sit beside the ninja while peering at the parfait. On one hand, she wouldn't expect Nagato to be the sort to use poisons considering the ceased hostilities, but a part of her is still somewhat wary of touching it at all. Then again...

It does look really freaking good right now, especially after hitching a ride on Yari's back earlier. "Nah, nah, that's fine. We need to be careful here, too, so." Clearing her throat, Sanary straightens up in her seat and takes small bites of the parfait while listening to Nagato's explanation. It puts a lot of things in good context, especially in regards to the Abyssals. Still, after what she's heard before, she's still not completely convinced just yet.

Sanary does, however, snicker when Yari gets hit with that brain freeze, and even breaks into a smug little grin. "Gotta take your time with this stuff~" It's not like she's done it herself countless times in the past or anything. Nooo not at all.

"Revenge ain't gonna... Hmnn. Well, it's a good thing Wo and some of the others have stopped. But the rest..." Sanary shakes her head lightly and scoops in more parfait, then nods slowly in agreement with Yari. "Rather not get involved in war at all now that I'm out of it... But... Yeah. We don't need more people ending up doing what we did."

She leans back in her seat while glancing between Yari and Nagato, pausing for a short while before turning to the latter again. "... Did you have something in mind? Calling us here and all."
Nagato     "Even I can think of things to cause you pain, Takane." there's an odd laugh coming from the Admiral before she leans back, "Eat it slow and you won't suffer." though her face goes back to the same stoic admiral look she normally has. "Its ok, I have smacked that hat of hers for you." she gives a brief, stifled chuckle, before taking another bite.

"Revenge for being forgotten, it's the same thing I have felt." she comments, alluding to /something/. "The... only Abyssal I think that would build something would be Wo. The others? Destruction is all they will care about. It's why I split off from the Abyssal Navy and found my true self... and why I have this fleet. To destroy the Abyssal Fleet and create a wonderful world where we're all remembered." a pause, listening to the words of the Ninja...

"While I hold no love for what you've done to the Fleet... and whom you've allied with, it's refreshing to hear this from you, Takane." she looks to Sanary and nods, "Even I would like this war of ours to end... to just... relax. I hope the day will come that I will not have to put on my equipment and sortie... but until that time comes, we have to."

Upon Sanary's question, she gives a nod, snapping a finger. Akashi moves into the room, followed by a barrage of fairies before the former sits near the Admiral. "I'm Akashi, Repair Ship of the Fleet, a pleasure. The Admiral's requested my assistance in performing a deed for you two." Nagato gives a bit of a nod, before Akashi continues. "We've set aside enough material: Bauxite, Steel and Fuel, to build a house for you two and Takane's daughter. We have just been waiting for the right place to build it."

Nagato gives a bit of a nod, "You two know as well as I that the war will do uncouth things to everyone... and I still stand by the promise I made. While I will not offer you a position in the fleet, there's a small section of the island we're on that is undeveloped and I can request one of my members to help develop it for your use."
Yari Takane Yari actually sounds extremely relieved at Sanary's words. "There's no need for you to risk your life unless there's something to gain, Sanary. That's good. Besides, we need to make some brilliant pork dishes together."

Is Yari grinning? Why yes, she is! Her tail sways just a bit happily.

A glance away from the farmer-cleric. "I've been outmatched." Sigh.

"Glory and honor, Miss Akashi. I'll be looking forward to seeing your skills, Ma'am!"

Yari takes in everything. There's silence. And slowly, slowly she nods.

"Honestly Nagato, even that is a risk to your fleet. Well. I don't intend to hurt any of you anymore, but I'm sure members of your fleet see it that way. No offer to join, huh?" Then, Yari slowly laughs.

There's a slow shrug. "I accept, Nagato. I regret trying to sink you. Still. There's one problem."

Humor fades dead away and she looks Nagato right in the eyes. "You see, Nagato, I really hate leaving jobs unfinished. I am too attached to this war of yours now to just walk away. Especially if this place will be where the two most important people in my life will be living. So I really can't stay neutral."

A wave of the hand. "Let me make you a proposition. I don't want you to offer me anything. Test me, Nagato. No, let your entire Fleet test me. I've harmed you, harmed them, and I want to work to make it up to them. I want to earn a place, stopping this war." Comes the ninja, bold and plain as day.
Sanary Rondel The talk of memories and being forgotten makes Sanary go quiet again as she focuses on eating the parfait, a pensive look crossing her eye even as she tries not to look like she's enjoying that dessert too much. Some small part of her is still worrying about just what's in it, but... Well, if anything does happen? There's probably people that would be able to piece things together, right?

Hopefully. "Can't blame you there. I mean, if I was getting paid to break things, sure, but... Eh, I'm getting too old for that." She mutters like some sort of grizzled veteran, notwithstanding the fact that she might easily be younger than anyone else here. She laughs lightly at Yari's mention of cooking, and she reaches over to give the ninja another pat on the back.

"Definitely. I've had some mroe free time lately, actually, so... Maybe we can bring something over here some time." With that more or less settled, the healer's takes another bite of parfait right when Akashi arrives to make that announcement, and she gags in surprise for a few seconds before catching her breath.

"A... A place? That's... Uh. That's a big thing right there. I don't know if we can..." She looks towards Yari, trying to figure out what she's getting at while also weighing her options. There's definitely some large risks and benefits to consider having Linh and Yari putting so much stuff on land so close to the Fleet's base of operations, but at the same time...

It would be a good way to patch things up. Before she can finish thinking it all through, Yari makes her own counter-offer, and Sanary actually laughs in surprise before nodding in approval at that. "If Yari's going through that, then it wouldn't be right for me not to join in, too. I dunno about trying to join the fleet, but... Well, I can't just stay at home and handle pigs all day, either."
Nagato     Nagato looks Yari dead in the eye, a peircing stare into her soul. "Test you?" she questions, "Your conviction..." and she tugs a note out of her top... the same note that was given to Tana "And this paper would almost be everything I need right here... but you're right, you're too invested, but if you two wish to join the Fleet... or just abandon the Abyssals, then I shall think of a suitable test." a few taps upon the table... and she nods. "I'll have Ooyodo forward some information to you. You'll be joining me and a couple other girls in an Abyssal takedown."

"You'll be killing your former allies, in a hope of bringing them back to our side." she continues that peircing stare, "You will be joining some members that do not like you or Rondel. I will not hesitate to have them shoot you down should you prove to go back on your word. We have no place here for betrayers. My axe has felled a number of Abyssals... and it's felled your arm. I won't hesitate to let it taste you again."

Akashi scoots away, shivering slighty... "Admiral, you're being a bit scary here..."
Yari Takane Somewhere, in the back of her mind, the ninja is imagining a vast kitchen, and Sanary hauling in fresh pork. Stews, grilling, all sorts of possibilities! Her culinarian heart grows three sized this day.

And Sanary piles on! There's a burst of confidence that helps balance her sense of dread. She knows what the Admiral's capable of when angry.

Case in point. That gaze strikes into the ninja's heart more keenly than any blade, deeper than any bullet. Her heart rate rises, and that comfortable old feeling of being in front of a predator hits her. The ninja dives deep into her training, pushing back the fear as hard as she can. Her own gaze outwardly is cold as ice. A well trained assassin dealing with someone her equal...if not even greater.

But this close, it'd be hard to miss the sweat that drips down Yari's chin. Or how she has to swallow to wet her suddenly very dry throat. It's a very difficult thing not to break the peace here out of reflex. To eleminate a threat. Only her tail settling along one of Sanary's ankles manages to keep the ninja in line. A small comfort.

The feeling, too, reminds her of Hisoka, of her own mother's intensity.

"I...really am still weak." Comes a mutter to herself, just a little bitterly.

It's a few seconds belated, but Yari manages to speak evenly. "Okay. That is an operation I can work in. So we will risk our lives, for your fleet, and for the sake of the Abyssals as well? All with the risk of being killed not only by the Abyssals, but also your girls can kill us on your orders?" The ninja once again considers. It's risky. And she wouldn't put it past some to use it as an excuse to try an assassination attempt.

Yari smiles. "It should be a good challenge. Count me in. Sanary. What do you think?"

A look back to Akashi. "You should be proud of that, Miss Akashi. That's a sign of how strong your leader is, after all."
Sanary Rondel Finishing her parfait, Sanary lets out a satisfied sigh before clearing her throat a little too loudly. "That was... Okay, I guess." As always, she's not a very good liar on the spot like that. It takes her a moment to get her bearings back, but once Nagato explains her proposal, the healer grins again.

"Like I said. I got no ties to any militaries like I did before. I'm just doing this for Yari's sake and for..." She pauses, a thoughtful frown crossing her face for a moment until she simply shrugs. "... Myself, I guess? But if these other Abyssals are really as bad as you say they are, then sure. I'll help out, too. Can't blame you for still being careful after what happened... But!"

The mention of taking of Yari's arm does cause a slight twitch in Sanary's eye, although it might just look like she's blinking normally. Having one eye makes it hard to be expressive in certain ways!

"... I still haven't forgotten about that. Even if we're weak... I still owe you an asskicking for that. So if you really want to test your skill with an axe, we can handle that on the side with or without all that in the way, too." She's putting on her own game face in response, looking a little more crazed and a lot more confident as she keeps on going.

Sanary meets Nagato's piercing gaze with a flat one of her own, trying not to let herself be intimidated. At the same time, she's trying to work herself up to be the sort of steady bulwark that Yari can rely on, especially when she notices that tail around her ankle. "You've got a big one, but I've been using these since before you were even a hunk of iron in your..."

And then her bravado falters some. Not with a fearful or intimidated tone, but a curious one along with a blank stare. "Builder's... Mine shaft? Er. How old /are/ you, anyway?"
Nagato     "Then it's settled." she states, the Admiralship letting go of her piercing gaze, leaning back into the comfort of the booth. "They will know not to act without my order, you have my promise there. But yes, I believe it an appropriate test of loyalties and to see how honest you two are in stating such... change of hearts." she turns to the healer, giving a nod. "Builders. I was born in Japan roughly a hundred or so years ago. But didn't your mother ever tell you not to ask a woman her age?"

    They were all women here...

"You two are some sorts of adorable, if you have my opinion on it." she looks to Akashi, "Go find a good spot to build the house, Akashi. If you have to leave base, you're cleared." with that, Akashi snaps a salute and runs off, fairies following her. A very specific fairy pops up from Nagato's head, out of her hair. She tilts her head and looks at the Ninja and Healer curiously before putting on a stern face... then ducking back in.

"Now relax you two, no woman on base will harm you as long as I'm here. I've given the orders that no one is allowed to do anything to you. Feel free to have Choukai let you explore the non secured areas of the Seaport."
Yari Takane Such ferocity for her sake. Yari's heart fills a bit with guilt. That she caused Sanary so much suffering, even if indirectly. The ninja proudly tilts up her head.

"As expected of Sanary Rondel. I'll be looking forward to seeing that."

Nomf nomf. Pause. Nom nibble! Huuurk.

She leans out of the curtain. "Green tea please. Hot." Cursed Fleet and their delicious yet painful treats!

"Actions before words. Yes, that's the quickest way to know. You're a bold woman, Nagato, don't lose that spirit." Chin-tap. "You might just live through all of this."

How scary a fairy! Upon seeing that stern face? Reeeeach! Yari applies a single head-scritch with a finger.

Whump. And so the ninja does. "I need something to chase down this parfait, so I'll stay here for a while. Waitress! Your best curry, please! Extra spicey! And whatever these two want."

"Okay. Feel free to tell your girls if they want CQC practice, I'll be available. Might help them let out some steam. I'll be gentle, don't worry." Yari might be underestimating certain fleet members. Woe is the lizard.
Sanary Rondel Sanary can feel a grin forming again when Yari gives her that indirect support. Looks like she's in it for real now if she doesn't want to look like a chump! With that matter settled, though, it's time to focus on other things. Like... Proper manners. Sanary blinks slowly as she shakes her head at Nagato's question. "Why not? I mean... If I want to know how old someone is, isn't that the easiest way?" She actually sounds a little confused at that, stroking her chin after a few moments and looking over Nagato slowly. "Especially since you don't look /that/ old. Then again..."

Did anyone in this Fleet look over forty? Or thirty, even? Ship ghosts sure are mysterious. She reaches over to give Yari another pat on the back when she starts gagging as well, not looking surprised in the least.

Getting called adorable actually draws another confused noise from the healer, though, and she huffs a bit as if trying to counteract that somewhat. "Wha...? W-well, so are some of the people here, but we all do our jobs without that getting in the way." She sounds like she's getting a little defensive, although she reels it back a bit when she sees that fairy pop out for the brief moment. "We'll be looking forward to the joint mission. Should be interesting."

Once they're granted permission to explore, Sanary recalls enough of her training to salute more formally to the Admiral. "Got it. I have been kinda curious what you do here besides..." She trails off and makes vague hand gestures, eventually just looking confused. "Ship... Stuff?" She shrugs once, then raises an eyebrow at Yari briefly before sniffing herself and frowning slightly.

"... Wouldn't happen to have a shower around here, would you?"
