Sokka Sokka was going to die. Was so going to die. He ducked and weaved and narrowly avoided getting skewered by an earth spike. "Ack no bad no ack!" Toph and he had ended up chasing a bunch of bad benders across the lines of the dimensions and they'd ended up trying to set up shop here.

But hey, Sokka at least knew how to deal with evil benders. So he was, for once, holding his own. He ducked under a burst of fire with a yelp. Two fire benders, two earth benders. "Toph, you get the earthies, I'll get the fire balls!" he yelled before charging the two. His boomerang went out, knocking the feet out from one before he wove around, narrowly avoiding a blast of flame by his hair, the back of his clothes getting singed. "Hot hot hot hot!"
Toph Beifong     The call from a world that Toph knew something about at least had caught her interest, especially when it was reported that benders were the problem. So the blind earthbending master had yanked Sokka with her to respond to the call. Paladins are here to uphold the law and beat some asses while at it! The biggest problem was to read up on the laws in the area on the way there.

Two earthbenders... now that's child's play. Back when she was twelve she could fight several Dai Li agents on her own, and it's not like she's grown weaker over the last four years. There's no question that she's gotten the easiet job here, and she arches an eyebrow. "Make sure you don't get your ass fried!" she warns him, then leans slightly to the side as a rock goes by her head. The next earthen spike that the other earthbender sends her way gets intercepted as she kicks the ground and raises a wall from the concrete in the street, all before she throws out her hands and launches several small projectiles at the two earthbenders. It hits one of them and makes him stagger back, though the other moves to circle the blind teenager.

"Okay, first of all you guys do not have building permits, so that tearing down the wall is one minor offense... as for /you/ guys," Toph asides to the two firebenders, "Pyromaniacs are frowned upon in this world, that's a major offense with how you set that house over there on fire!" Luckily it was easily distinguished by sand... ugh, having to know all these laws are a bother, especially when citing them to the lawbreakers as well!
Tomoyo Daidouji     Tomoeda is a peaceful little town, and that's how all the residents like it.

So when a bunch of benders start roughhousing in the streets under the pale moon, calls are swiftly made. When it's clear that some of those roughhousers are the law of (some of) the Multiverse, someone else has to step in.

That someone else is not the Mage of Tomoeda. Rather, it's her best friend who drifts down from the starry sky atop a plodding magic carpet. She's wearing lilac pyjamas with a coat and black sneakers thrown on quickly. Her hair is still damp from a pre-bed bath and she looks downright exhausted. Sitting next to her on the carpet is her school bag, hastily packed with... things.

Even as Toph complains of a house being set aflame, she floats overhead and produces a flask from her bag. Opening it up, it starts to produce rainclouds that let a gentle drizzle fall upon the structure. Not much help, but better than nothing!

"Good evening everyone," she says, in a clear yet tired voice as she bobs overhead. "Your... enthusiasm for Tomoeda is wonderful, but people are trying to sleep, and you're damaging property. If it's not too much trouble, could I ask you to stop all this? Or at least, take it elsewhere? I hope you understand."

In spite of her sleepiness, her tone is firm in spite of her soft voice. There will be Consequences if this keeps up, be it from her or others.
Neva Fernandez     This is the story of all about how Neva's life got flipped turned upside down, when just 'walking through worlds without a single care as earth and fire fly through air. This rhyme flows semi smoothly through Neva Fernandez's head when she very much OUT OF NOWHERE poofs into existence in the middle of the ongoing battle. "AAAA--THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A PEACFUL JAUNT TO A PEACEFUL PLANE, WHAT GIVES?!" She very panickedly yells out, as she ducks and dives between balls of fire and clumps of rock flying about.

In her panic, she throws a few motes of Mana about, and summons a pair of Blobby creatures that pulse from the energies flying around, as Neva commands, "Bob and Bob II, body block!" At which point the Blistercoil Weirds do in fact just stand and cover her.

From behind cover of the Bobs, she peeks out and tries to assess the situation, spying a bunch of people just throwing elements around and.. A boomerang? Also, wait, is that girl on a flying carpet? Wait, I know those two! "Hey Toph! Sokka! Please don't shoot me!"
Sokka Sokka was super excited, even as he narrowly avoided being flame seared. He wove away from another blast, before... "Demon fang!" he yelled, slamming his sword down. His strike sent a blast of PURE FIGHTING SPIRIT(okay, it was really just a standard shockwave, but who argues sematics?) at the other fire bender. It knocked him back a little bit, enough for Sokka to get close.

He gripped his sword and partially drew it, just enough to slam the hilt of the sword into the stomach of the second fire bender, dropping him like a sack of potatoes.

The first one was getting up, spinning and sending up flames. "Tiger blade!" Sokka yelled, flying over the attack, ending up behind the first guy. He then grabbed him, one hand on the back of the collar, the other on the shorts and... bodily hefted him up and slammed him onto the ground, hard.

Okay, maybe that was a bit excessive. "You have the right to remain silent, anything you say or do can be used agaisnt you."

"Groan..."

"If you continue to fire blast at people, I will have no choice but to use painful, but not fatal, force. Do you understand?"

"Mommy..."

"Good. Now." He held up his wrist, tapped a few times and... "Per Tomoeda policy, you will be cuffed and hauled to the nearest dimensional warp, where you will be tried before a cross-dimensional judge." He took out his cuffs. "Any questions?"

"My shead..."
Toph Beifong     At Neva's sudden appearance Toph can't help but blink, turning her head slightly. "Huh... Neva? Where the crud did you come from?" She... was suddenly there. "And why would I shoot you?" the blind teenager asks, all while the second earthbender is still advancing on her, coming ever closer and raising his fist to send an attack Toph's way...

An attack that's stopped before it begins as Toph kicks her heel into the ground, sending an earthen pillar up into the man's chin, all before it sinks back into the ground right before the man falls back, knocked out cold.

The sound of Tomoyo's voice from above also catches Toph by surprise, and she winces a bit. "Sorry, we're trying to clear this up as soon as possible, Tomoyo!" she adresses the other girl. "Say... when did /you/ learn how to fly?" Sakura she knows can fly, but the seamstress? Nopes. "We'll make them stop, and I'll bend the stuff back while we wait for the police to apprehend them!" Though they might want to take them back to their world afterwards, it all depends on what the local law enforcement deem necessary.

The first earthbender meanwhile recovers from the rain of small earthen projectiles, letting out a roar of frustration as he charges at Toph, who steps to the side, avoiding the series of earthen spikes that shoot up from the concrete. A series of earthen spikes that head towards Neva as well! Toph turns, focusing on the earthen spikes nearby, bending them into dust that she sends whirling up into the other earthbender's face, blinding him!
Tomoyo Daidouji     Oh, they aren't listening. Well, at least they wrap up quickly. It's only now, as Tomoyo rubs the sleep from her eyes and sets up more rainclouds to put out stray fires, that she actually pays attention to who is here.

"Oh... oh! Hello Toph~" she says sweetly, immediately more okay with the state of the ruined street. She lands so Toph can 'see' her properly and rolls up the carpet. "Oh, this was a gift from before the Jack Slash incident. Came in very useful that day...It's lovely to see you again, especially after so long. But would you mind fixing things up as best you can?"

Gesturing at the craters left by Demon Fangs and earthbending, she notices Sokka and Neva also. The former she's never met, the latter she only knows distantly. "Thank you both for your help in stopping this!" Offering a deep bow to both, she looks at the four benders and sighs. "Well, you all probably have to wait for someone to come process these four. Would you like to wait at my home? I'm certainly not falling asleep for a while."
Neva Fernandez     To Toph, Neva simply responds, "Planeswalker! Duh!" As though it eplains everything. "I can teleport basically anywhere I want in the Multiverse so long as I've been there before or have a visual, or I can do it blind and have no idea where I'm going, and most likely get into trouble!"
At least now that she knew Toph wasn't gonna throw rocks at her, and she was pretty certain Sokka was not doing anything of the sort either, she focuses her attention on the Earthbenders, commanding the Bobs to rush on the Earthbender and tank any incoming rock damage.

However, Neva knows the Bobs can only take a hit or two before popping, so her real plan is to pop her gauntlets on, and then proceeds to incant, "You! Stoppit! VOID SNARE!"

She times her spell so that the remaining Earthbender would manage to take down the Blistercoil Weirds just before she's done casting, and before he have a chance to react to her, he would find himselves wrapped in Blue Mana, and suddenly SHUNTED out of reality. He's just gone... Where?
Neva in the mean time breathes out a sigh of relief, "Well, that happened..." She glances at her watch. "Give them thirty seconds..." She says to nobody in particular. "So, that's how I'm here. What's up with these guys?"
Sokka Sokka felt pretty cool right now. He'd actually done something, hadn't gotten killed! Sure, his shirt was a bit damaged... would need to definitely be replaced. But hey, other than that, he was good. He went on the coms. "Yeah, need four for pickup. We got a B-602. Uh huh. Yeah. What? No. Yeah. Good." The sounds of sirens could be heard already approaching. He then glanced over and...

"Oh, hey! When'd you two get here?" Completely missed them. Leave it to Sokka to miss those little details. Well, until now. "Neva? Hey, long time no see," Gave her a BIG Sokka hug. "And--" Paused. Then, if tomoyo didn't resist, he'd take tomoyo's hand and gently place a kiss on it. "Why hello. I don't think we've met."Then he got that goofy grin on his face. "Toph's boy friend. Guessing you already know her. most people do," he joked.
Toph Beifong     Oh right, Neva walks between planes and all that. It's not something Toph had bothered to read up a lot on, so pardon her for not knowing all the details.

It's much easier when Tomoyo turns to her, and so Toph leaves the last earthbender to Neva, obviously not regarding him as a high threat at the moment. As a Paladin she's also expected to talk with the locals, right? And to keep the peace and all that. "It's been a while, yeah... and sure, I'll bend it back in place. Otherwise my superiors in the Paladins will get on my ass." Again. Man, the comments she got after the road incident... "The fire damange I can't do much about, but I'll file a report with the Paladins, insurance should cover that," she adds with a sigh.

The rogue earthbender does indeed focus on the Bobs as they rush him, kicking up two large rocks from the ground that he punches at them. And then a moment after he gasps when he's surrounded by blue... and is gone...!

At that Toph blinks, turning her head sharply. "HEY! Where did you send him? We kinda need him here for when the police show up!" Ugh, this might have been okay before, but how are they supposed to charge him with a crime if one of the criminals aren't here? "Thirty seconds? You mean he will be back in thirty seconds... right?" Toph asks, walking towards the planeswalker, even as Sokka hugs her. And as Sokka moves on to greet Tomoyo, Toph still looks a bit disgruntled. "Could you summon him back so I can cuff him? I'd rather get that sorted before I begin bending stuff back here."
Neva Fernandez     Neva nods as she steps over to where the Earthbender had been, taking a moment to just sort of gauge positioning, "Yep. Void Snare shunts a single non-land permanent into a pocket dimension for a short time before they get burped back out where they previously were. Which means that guy will be back and confused riiiiight..." She raises up a gauntleted fist and winds it up, "Now.."

The Earthbender pops back into reality, freaking out and confused, but he has no time to assess the situation, as a powered gauntlet swings right for his jaw and knocking the man out cold. "There you go. All better---"

And suddenly, Sokka hug, prompting Neva to squeak and go wide eyed, her face reddened. "WhowhaI--HiSokka." Then, when Tomoyo invites, she just nods and blurt out, "Yesplease,I'mfineperfectlythanks foraskinghowareyou?"
Tomoyo Daidouji     Tomoyo does let her hand be kissed, a slow grin spreading across her face as Sokka introduces himself as Toph's boyfriend. When the blind earthbender doesn't refute it... well. Toph should count herself lucky that she's blind, because the tailor has a pretty scary look in her eyes now.

"Her boyfriend you say? How... interesting~ A pleasure to meet you. I'm Tomoyo Daidouji, a tailor by trade..." Her eyes fall on Sokka's scorched shirt. "And it looks like you need one. I'll patch that up for you if you like~ Consider it services rendered for your efforts here." Shameless flatterer, isn't she?

She also notices how flustered Neva gets, and offers a gentle, soothing smile. With a friend like Sakura, Tomoyo has gotten very good at being a soothing presence. "I'm glad~ Come along then."

Thankfully, it's a short walk to the grand European-style mansion. Tomoyo keys in an access code for the front gates, then it's a short walk past the well-kept gardens, a silent key slipped into the front door's lock and they're inside. "Is anyone hungry? I believe there might be some leftover cake in the fridge..."
Sokka Sokka looked down at his shirt. "Ah man! This was one of my best ones. It went with my bag AND my shoes. How am I going to get a new one with that perfect little wave pattern on the bottom? I don't see those very often."

Then... once they were walking. He stared. "Wow. Okay, seriously. Is everyone in the multiverse you know loaded, Toph? I swear. First your parents, then your dad, now this, not to mention all the space ship owners. I mean, come on. Maybe you just like... summon gold by your mere presence?"
Toph Beifong     Visibly relieved, Toph lets out a sigh as the criminal reappears... and then promptly gets knocked out. "Thanks... would have had a hard time explaining why we didn't have all of the culprits here," Toph comments, then reaches into her bag to produce some metal cuffs that she bends onto the ankles and wrists of the four benders. This way they can't get away until the police arrive.

No, Toph doesn't deny Sokka's claim about him being her boyfriend. Perhaps she would have been nervous if she were able to see Tomoyo's expression... but for now she's busy bending the street and buildings nearby back into shape. It's an easy task for a master earthbender like Toph, after all.

Once the criminals have been picked up it's fortunately a short walk to Tomoyo's mansion, and Toph reaches out to Sokka's back when they walk, frowning a bit. "Man, you're lucky your back didn't get burned...!" she points out. As for her knowing so many rich people...? "It's not my fault that many Elites have many resources, is it?" Few of them are as rich as Tony Stark is though, then again he's in a league of his own. "And don't be silly, I don't summon gold. It's not the best metal to bend, after all." It's not sturdy for one thing.

The offer of cake sounds like a good one, and Toph nods as she accepts. "I'm sure we can stay for some cake... if it's okay for you, that is." Maybe Tomoyo's just being overly polite as always. Being inside the house makes it a bit hard to see with the wooden floors and all, so as she always does in these situations, Toph reaches out to hold onto Sokka's arm, trusting him to lead her around like he has done so many times before.

"So, Neva... do you always pop around different planes at night? Out for a midnight snack or something?" she inquires the other girl.
Neva Fernandez     Oh good, food, that'll take Neva's racing brain and heartbeat off of being hugged by Sokka, though really she'd react like that if anyone hugged her. "CAKEISGOOD!" She then forcefully ahems at herself to try to slow herself down. "Yes please."

And now they're walking. "You could probably make a killing using Metal Bending for Mining Gold, though... Yoink, three gold nuggets, and there's pocket money for a month!" Neva grins.

As for her own reasons for being around, "First of all, I 'walk where I want mostly because I can, and secondly it was daytime where I left."
Tomoyo Daidouji     "Coming right up~" Tomoyo says to Toph. It's hard to tell if someone is 'just being polite' when they're always polite. She ventures off, and soon returns with four plates with red velvet cake. One in each hand, and the other two meticulously balanced on her forearms.

Serving each one with a smile, she says to Sokka, "Well, Toph herself is from a well-to-do family. Like attracts like I suppose~" She's teasing clearly. Looking to Neva as she finally manages to calm herself, she looks concerned. "Isn't it scary, losing a whole day like that? What if you lost weeks, months?"

But internally, she's scheming. And it finally bears fruit.

"Mister Sokka," she says sweetly. "I have a wonderful idea for that shirt of yours. I can fix it, and give it an even better pattern than before, if you would hand it over~" Is she really asking him to go shirtless in front of the easily flustered Neva and easily disgruntled Toph?

By the way she extends her hands to accept the shirt, it seems the answer is yes.
Sokka Sokka nods. "Oh yeah! Cake! Awesome! I like you already, Tomoyo. Heh. I don't know if our world has enough gold right now to match Toph's net worth," he teased. "Huh. I guess you do know a bunch of elites. Surprised they have a fancy word for all the people with special magic powers." He then glanced to Tomoyo. "So, everyone else I've met has them, what's your special powers? Mind control? Or maybe you can talk and the words turn into like... bladdes or something." He didn't seem to mind Toph on his arm. In fact, in a subtle way, he reached down to take her hand and held ensure she never stepped near anything. Even when they went from floor to carpet, or there was a step, he'd silent signal her so she didn't get hurt."

"My shirt? Sure." With a hup, he lifted up his shirt and held it out. "Here you go." He... did not have a six pack. Namely because they were unhealthy. But working a forge, constant physical training, all of that had resulted in him having a very healthy warrior's physique. And the seat he had taken was between Toph and Neva.
Neva Fernandez     Ooo cake. Neva sits and recieves cake just fine, "Thanks! I'm Neva by the way, not sure if we formally met before." She digs into the cake but before she can swallow more than a bite, suddenly Sokka is taking off his shirt and...

Neva goes wide eyed... "Eep..." Her heart going rapidfire again. No, Neva, stoppit, she's mentally cursing at herself.
Toph Beifong     A snort leaves Toph at Neva's suggestion. "Why the crud would I want to mine gold when I can do more important things with my bending?" she points out. "Besides, I'm already rich." She's the heir of the Beifong family, and well, even if she's not the Stark heir now that there's a biological heir to that technological throne, it's not like she doesn't get a hefty allowance from Tony every week.

While still holding onto Sokka's arm Toph takes a seat on the couch. While she can't see the room and the things in there, it does smell clean and neat, and the room isn't cramped... it's obvious that this isn't just any house. And when they are served the cake, it's tasty too, that much Toph figures out as she lets go of Sokka's arm to rest the plate on her lap as she eats. It's not a big surprise that Tomoyo has ideas for how to fix Sokka's shirt. And much like Sokka, Toph doesn't seem flustered at all. Even as Sokka lifts up his shirt and holds it out to Tomoyo, the blind teenager sits calmly and eats her cake. Though she does cant her head a bit towards Neva. "Is this the first time you've seen a shirtless guy or something?"
Neva Fernandez     "N-no..!" Neva tries very hard to say quietly and calmly at Toph's sudden question before biting her lip, "Just... Not so up close and..." She sucks in a breath, "It's fine, it's fine, I'll be fine." She tries to keep to herself.

Of course, why did Sokka have to decide to sit between herself and Toph, she will NEVER KNOW. More heart thumping.
Tomoyo Daidouji     "Wonderful, thank you~" Tomoyo says, playing clueless to Neva's anxiety. Examining the burn for a moment, she abandons her cake to vanish deeper into the house, before returning with a bunch of materials. An iron and ironing board is included. When she gets back, she answers Sokka. "I don't have any special powers at all~ I'm perfectly normal." Hah, sure.

She gets to work with fervor, cutting out some fabric of the same blue as Sokka's shirt, lining it up to cover the hole and making a needle and thread dance throughout to patch it up. Next up is a bunch of stencils and a flat sheet of... something. It's unclear. But whatever it is, Tomoyo uses the stencils to carefully cut patterns out of it with a thin sharp knife. Next, she places the shirt on the ironing board, before arranging the shapes on it.

All the while, she keeps up a steady stream of questions. It's been too long after all! "How are you finding the new factions?" she asks first. "Have there been any... run-ins with former allies? Butting heads with new ones?" is next. "Are you happy there?" Oof, that's a big one.
Sokka Sokka nodded, before looking to Neva. "Hey, you okay?" He leaned over and put a hand on her forehead, giving her way too good a view as he kind of leaned over him. "If you're not feeling well, we can get you to a doctor or something? Don't make yourself sick," he said with a grin.

Then he looked to Toph and then grinned even wider. He... kisses her, on the lips? Why would he-- OH MY GOSH THE BASTARD STOLE THE CAKE OUT OF HER MOUTH! That was cheating! That was so uncalled for! And he was totally expecting a punch for that one. Or for her to steal some of his cake. But hey, messing with his girl friend was half the fun of HAVING one.

Then... he blinked. "Wait, you don't have any powers? None? Nothing? You're completely normal? Not even like... shooting laser beams out of your eyes?" Oh my gosh he freaking sparkled. "FINALLY! I KNEW I couldn't be the only one! I knew there had to be SOMEONE without special magic powers caught in all this mess!" He held out his hand. "Sokka, Paladins, happy to finally meet someone who can't destroy me with their mind or some other super fancy thing," he joked. "And the factions are pretty cool. Paladins have a lot of homework, learning a ton. Gonna figure out how to drive soon."
Toph Beifong     Ooooh boy. Toph rolls her eyes slightly at Neva being flustered by Sokka being barechested right next to her, then returns to eating her cake.

If there's somebody who can work needle and thread, it's Tomoyo. Sure, she might not have Rarity's magic, but she's got skill, there's no question about that. It would be interesting to see just who of the two former Union seamstresses who would win a contest where they--

"She's not sick, Sokka," Toph informs him, moving another piece of cake to her mouth. Only for Sokka to lean in the next second and snatch it from her mouth in a dastardly kiss...

The blind metalbender's eyes widen even as she blushes slightly. And yes, she does punch Sokka, /hard/! "HEY! You got your own cake, Meat Head!" she snaps at him, then grumbles. Oh, right... Tomoyo asked them all a question. "Eh, Paladins are okay, though it's hard to learn all the laws and such. Working on it though... and no, haven't had any run ins with former allies that ended up having to fight them, luckily. So yeah, I'd say I'm happy with the Paladins. Even if I don't get to spend as much time home as I did before," she adds, then reaches out to grab some of Sokka's cake with her fingers.
Neva Fernandez     PROXIMITYYYYY. Neva just goes wide eyed some more at Sokka being sooooo much of an oblivious doof. Also, just because the abs arn't packing, there is something to be said about tone, and oooo boy, Neva can see how toned Sokka is. Badump badump.

And as Sokka's attention is sufficiently NOT on her (when Sokka is being distracted by his smooching Toph and the subsequent punch), Neva scoots away just enough. "Eatyourcakemeathead--ImeanSokka!" To other questions, Neva shrugs a little, "I was never in the big two to begin with. I signed on with the League though, which is... Interesting."
Tomoyo Daidouji     Tomoyo listens patiently to everyone as she takes the iron to the weird patterns. "I considered joining a faction but... the Paladins seemed too rigid, the Concord too loose, and the League too farsighted. So I decided instead to stay independent and grow Inspiration Trust. I have some big plans once my store in business. I'll be putting out more stuff like this~"

Her work complete, she holds up the shirt. Those patterns turned out to be iron-on designs. When viewed as a whole, they form the image of a shark in tribal designs. Its gaping maw now takes up a lot of the shirt, while also hiding the seams from the new patch. It looks brand new!

But then she catches the kiss and her eyes alight. "Oh my goodness, how forward~" she gasps. She's Japanese after all, you don't really see public displays like that!
Sokka Sokka glanced over. "Huh? Forward? Not really. You should see the stuff we do when no one is looking," he said with a chuckle. Then blinked. "Wait, actually, you probably shouldn't." Pause. "Nothing too bad, though! Don't tell antlers." He gives a shudder.

"And yes, I do have my own cake. But you taste so much sweeter," he teased. He didn't mind when she stole his cake... and then he leaned in and gently nipped her ear lobe. Because making Toph jump was one of his biggest pleasures.

"And yeah, paladins are a bit rigid. I was surprised that toph wanted to join them. I never would have picked the Runaway as someone who wanted to follow the law. But, you know..." He rubbed her head. "She's really gotten good at it. She's always been kicking butt, but now she's able to figure out all the laws and she's really getting into the swing of things. She's totally going to end up the best person on the force at this rate."

Then he saw the shirt and... "Oh my gosh that looks AMAZING!" He took it and held it as if it was some holy relic. "Wow. And you're going to do a whole store of this stuff? You've got to let me know when that happens! Heck, I might want you to design my whole wardrobe!" He put it on, grinning down at himself. "Hey, Toph, what do you think? Does it make me look awesome?"
Toph Beifong     "The Paladins aren't that bad, and eh... they asked me and Sokka to join them, so we did. Could be worse," Toph says with a shrug. Sure, she's having problems fitting in, but at least she's working on it! Not that she needs to go into details with Tomoyo. "I don't know too much about the League though, so what's their deal, Neva?" Might as well ask, right?

"Let us know when your store opens up again, will you?" she adds to Tomoyo next. "I might have to order some babyclothes. For RJ, he's bound to grow quickly." A big sister needs to take care of her baby brother!

It's too bad that she can't see the design on Sokka's repaired shirt, isn't it? For now clothes aren't her main concern, especially not when Tomoyo comments on Sokka being forward by kissing her like that. And she's just about to respond... at least until Sokka makes it so much worse, making Toph choke a bit as she begins coughing... and then punches Sokka /again/ in the arm. "S-Sokka!" she hisses, "think before you speak, remember?!" He's making it all sound way less innocent than it is! Not to mention he seems to like messing with her, doesn't it...? The nipping at her ear makes her squeak, pulling back and raising her shoulder in attempt to block her ear. "Not in public!" Well, semi-public with only two other people here... but still!

Of course she knows how to get her revenge when Sokka asks her opinion about the shirt. "Not really, now the colour totally clashes with your eyes," she says in a deadpan voice.
Neva Fernandez     Neva would comment on Sokka's new shirt, but really, the amount of affection was starting to make things a little bit more awkward. "Yeah, dial the PDA back a tiny bit...?" At least it makes herself feel better about her earlier bouts of being flustered, but she'd rather her own comfort not be at anyone else's expense.

Neva hrmms a bit at Toph's question, "What's the League's deal? 'Progress', I think. I wasn't really sure myself, because I kinda didn't know if I would fit in there... But if you can teleport across entire stretches of Multiverse in an instant? That kind of ability to explore is great for knowledge getting."
Tomoyo Daidouji     "I'm glad you like it~" Tomoyo says to Sokka. "And yes, I am. I used to have a shop, but it... burned down." Her voice dulls at the mention of it, but she quickly perks back up. "Oh yes, I heard that Misses Potts had a baby~ Do congratulate them for me, won't you?"

And then she looks to Neva, her expression shifting to one of concern. "You just joined up without really reading anything? That's... very dangerous. I just hope they don't make you do anything you don't want to do... but I suppose you can just teleport away if they get untoward~" And finally, she takes the time to eat her own cake, before glancing at the grandfather clock.

"Oh goodness, is that the time? I'm sorry for keeping you all! You should probably go make sure your arrestees are properly processed. And Neva, people might be worried about you!"
Sokka Sokka blinked and looked down. "Really? I thought this color went great with my eyes. I never--" Then paused and frowned. "Why do you feel the need to do that?" Awwwww.

Then he blinked and... "What?" He looked down at the computer on his hand. "Sorry, it's not a PDA, is the light too bright?" ... Oh gosh he didn't know what PDA met.

Then blinked and glanced to Toph. "Right. We should probably go, too. Classes and all that, need to get my project done, too." He took her hand. "Come on, let's go finish booking some annoying people," he said with a grin.

Once they were walking a bit though, he did glance to toph, leaning in to whisper in her ear. "I wasn't teasing you too much there, was I?"
Toph Beifong     "She's technically Mrs. Stark now, dad likes to point that out," Toph corrects Tomoyo. "But yeah, I will congratulate them for you. You should visit sometime."

There is a good reason why Toph feels the need to make fun of Sokka. "You make it so easy," she comments truthfully, not without a grin crossing her lips. Besides, it's payback for him teasing her like that in front of people. Then again he does that to himself too when he doesn't get what Neva meant. The blind teenager sighs, then turns towards the planeswalker. "I kind agree with Tomoyo, knowing what you signed up for is important... and well, I've heard of some League members breaking the law here and there, so I'll say it here and now. Don't go on jobs that could get you into trouble with the law, because then the Paladins would have no choice but to oppose you." It would suck having to fight people that she has no problems with otherwise...

But yes, Sokka is right. So Toph nods, licking her fingertips free of cake as she rises to her feet and holds onto Sokka's arm again. "Thanks for the cake, Tomoyo... and thanks for the help with the benders, Planeskipper... catch you guys later!" With that she follows Sokka out. And when the taller boy leans in and whispers in her ear, she lets out a slight grumble. "... did you /seriously/ have to steal my cake /that/ way?" That answer your question?
Neva Fernandez     Neva points at Tomoyo and Toph as they criticise her reasoning, "Hey, it might have taken me a while to figure out what I was doing with myself, but I've figured that out now. I like to explore, and go on adventures to places I've never been before. That's discovery, that's research, and that's scouring of knowledge. I can get behind that."

Neva then rolls her eyes, "I see you're taking pro tips from the Azorius, with the whole 'Law Law Law Law' rhetoric." Neva's bobbing her head side to side to poke fun at the whole thing. "Look, I'm just an explorer, I haven't tried to rob anyone who didn't deserve it, so relax. Take the fun out of everything why don't you."

Neva yawns a little, "Oh, right it's dark, and late, and time to go, I suppose.." She crams the rest of her cake into her mouth and swallows it down, "Well, it was nice to meet you Tomoyo. I'll pop by some other time, hopefully when there isn't fire and rocks flying around." She then waves to Toph and Sokka, "I'll see you guys around. Toodles."

And with a gathering of mana and some gestures... POOF. She has 'Walked away.
