Theurgus     Locus. A new addition? Resumption? Hard to really say with a reactivated Drive in a world built within a computer.

The doors have been left open for those who wish to visit, the System Bus providing access from the System Hub, which has a decidedly purple hue to its light strips. The Hub changes hands rapidly, but the Bus retains a cross-fading rainbow of light in its tron-like strips.

Should anyone approach and board, they would find themselves transported with expediency to a floating platform connected to three other large floating islands via a series of cable cars. The entire world has that same rainbow light-stripping to it, despite being very magical in construction. The central, largest island is dominated by a massive spire that reaches into the sky, supporting a huge gemstone that changes hue along with the piping. The smaller islands seem to be newer additions, smaller structures partly completed. Anyone arriving would be greeted by a slender woman wearing a patchwork of armour and clockwork components, carrying a gun-shaped device with a large crystal instead of a traditional barrel and reciever assembly. "Welcome to Locus travelers!"
Dorian Pavus     A magical world that was also a computer? Oh you better believe Dorian's interested in this. He's seen few examples of magic and technology living peacefully together -- in fact he's seen more examples of just the opposite, where the presence of one disrupts the other -- so he's quite interested to know how this world managed it.

That said, he's also keeping on his toes. There's always the chance that it manages its seamless meshing of magic and technology by draining magic. And he's rather not become next on the menu. Tsk. Such a pessimist.

Anyway, Dorian's arrived here in his usual outfit -- his leather armor, white cloak, and dragon-headed staff. The last of which is slung by a strap on his back to show that he has no malicious intent. And despite his wariness, when he's greeted as he disembarks from the bus, he offers a smile, and bows in greeting to the soldier. "Thank you," he offers politely.

Then he asks a question of his own. "Where would you suggest a newcomer go first? I'm eager to see the sights, as it were, and it's hard to know where to start. Oh. And where should I most definitely avoid?"
Theurgus     "The main Spire would probably be the best place. Stay away from the Eastern Outpost... we've been getting reports of Virus outbreaks in that area." replies the trooper, keeping her weapon in a parade safe grip. She gestures with the crystal 'barrel' towards the central of the three cable cars. "Lady Diamond Soul is in the Cathoderal. She does enjoy visitors, but I would suggest you speak to the Oracle first. She should be in the Comperal at the base of the Spire."
Dorian Pavus     Dorian listens to this information, a thoughtful look on his face. He crosses his his arms over his middle and raises a hand to his chin. "Viruses? Computer viruses?" Pause. "Well... perhaps that does make sense..." This is said in a musing tone of voice.

However, he nods to the information. "Thanky ou very much," he replies, with a repsectful incline of his head. "I'll head to the Spire for now," he decides.
Theurgus     The Cable Car is a quick ride, much like the System Bus. It opens out onto the main island at the foot of the Spire. The courtyard is filled with various beings. Most look human with that same rainbow light piping on their clothes, others though, look thoroughly alien. There's a few small blue blobs with dog-like faces bouncing around, playing with children like adoring pets. Small blocky creatures that look like someone took a pixel art piece and turned it (mostly) 3D, carrying clipboards and floating along. One huge robotic construct carrying construction materials and sounding out in a deep, thrumming voice. "CAUTION. THIS MECHA IS TRAVERSING."

The main entrance of the Spire is across this thoroughfare, a large double door set into the side of the building.
Dorian Pavus     Quick ride or no, it's certainly a scenic one. It's rare when Dorian feels like the plain one. But that just makes him stand out more, he figures. Besides that, he's still stylish! Ahem. Anyway.

The mostly human beings will get a look, yes. But those bouncing blobs and blocky-looking creatures will get a longer look. They're much stranger, at least from Dorian's point of view. And he's definitely staying out of the way of the large golem with the armful of construction material. Wouldn't do to get squashed!

And so he makes his way across the thoroughfare to the double doors of the Spire. Unless stopped, of course.
Theurgus     Noone stops Dorian, and as he approaches, the doors swing open to allow him inside.

Within, it's obvious why the place is called Comperal. It seems almost church-like, like a small chapel really. Seated, or more aptly, floating upon a book, behind a desk across from the door is a small fairy. She's about two feet tall with glowing white wings sprouting from her back, a white 'nurse' hat, and a purple and blue dress outfit. She's looking over at the slowly closing doors and seems inquisitive of the new arrival, but waits for him to make the first move.

This must be the 'Oracle' the trooper spoke of.
Dorian Pavus     Dorian pauses as he sees the small fairy. Blinks. He does seem surprised. It would be easy to discount it. Maybe she's the Oracle's receptionist or something? But that would be rude to assume, and as arrogant as Dorian is, he knows better than to assume.

Thus Dorian approaches the desk, with a polite bow of his head. Keeping his voice neutral, he ventures, "Hello there. I was pointed here to find the Oracle? I'm a visitor, and was curious about how the magic and technology seem to... well, behave themselves here. It's a rare thing in other worlds, I've noted."
Theurgus     The fairy perks up, lifting a little higher with her hands folded neatly in her lap. "Ah, welcome to Locus! We've been expecting visitors to start coming around since we reconnected. You are the first after the initial investigation group." she replies, then lifts one hand, placing it against her chest and bowing lightly while remaining otherwise perfectly still and upright in the air. "I am Charta, Oracle of the Diamond City." she straightens up, "Ah, that is due to our current DCC's predecessor. She had a unique insight into how both Science and Magic worked in the world, how they interfered, but also how they harmonized. By promoting that harmonization and limiting the interference, the two schools, while usually opposite, can be brought together to create a greater whole." she explains.

"Not that there aren't problems still, but what kind of invention is without problems?"
Dorian Pavus     Dorian bows as the fairy Oracle introduces herself. He offers in return, "I am Dorian Pavus, Altus mage of Tevinter." He stands straight as he listens to her explain. "Well, I have heard someone say that a sufficiently-advanced technology can seem like magic." He takes that thoughtful crossed-arms, hand on chin pose again, thinking about this. "I suppose magic would be considered a science of its own if it could be completely explained." A bit of a wry air enters his demeanor. "Something the Chantry back home could do with a look at, I'd say."

Though he does let this wry air fade, as he has a more serious question. "Forgive me if I seem... uninformed. What is a 'DCC'? I fear I come from a world that has a much lower level of technological advancement, and I've had to... well, 'catch up', as it were."
Theurgus     Another voice sounds from off to the side. "I believe I can answer that question." It's deep, female and has a playfully wry undertone. "DCC is shorthand, it stands for Drive Core Controller." The owner of the voice steps over, doffing her hat and running her fingers through her hair briefly before placing the peaked 'witch' hat back atop her head, letting the cogs clink against one another lightly. "I am Theurgus, the DCC of this Drive. Diamond Soul, The Mad Magician." she sweeps her arms in a wide expression. "Welcome to my domain traveller."
Dorian Pavus     Dorian looks towards the source of the other female voice quickly, not having expected someone else. He notes that attacks are not immediately coming his way, and looks back to the Oracle with a polite bow before turning towards the owner of the other voice. Wouldn't do that have the Oracle think he was snubbing her, after all.

"I see," Dorian replies. The explanation actually does make sense to him, as he's started to learn a little more about modern computers, so he knows that a 'drive' is more than just a carriage ride for fun.

"I'm very pleased to meet you," he offers when Theurgus introduces herself. "My name is Dorian Pavus; I'm also a mage." He bows also to Theurgus. "How do you do?" At the welcome, he returns, "Thank you. The opportunity to come and learn more is appreciated."
Golden     The digimon's tamer wanted to see the Multiverse, which Golden is happy to oblige, having spent so many years wandering through it. Or a version of it. He had admitted to Ashley that the Multiverse was all new to him again.
Still, the tamer and digimon found themselves in this strange realm, too reminiscent of the Digital Worlds that were the native dominion of Digimon. The young woman narrows her eyes at the chapel-like building, looking at all the details. "Looks like a church? Do digital beings have gods, Golden?"
"Speaking strictly for my world, yeah. We had the God-Computer Yggdrasil. Not much of a god though. It threw a tantrum and destroyed the world." The digimon is a short lanky dragon-like being with blue leathery skin and a whitish belly. Yellow 'V' adorn it. Pair this with the 17-ish human girl with ashen hair and a bright look on her face, dressed in sturdy-looking travelling clothes. Odd couple, one supposes. To those who sense magic or things like it, the blue dragon-man reeks of it, and the girl seems to possess a small trinket no larger than a fist that resonates with the same magic as the digimon does.
They enter the chapel unless anyone stops them.
Theurgus     Charta bows back to Dorian and is about to resume her duties as Theurgus takes over answering the magus' questions, when more visitors arrive. She flits over, and greets them instead of waiting like she did with Dorian, probably to help keep the conversations separate. "Welcome to the Diamond Compural, I am Charta, Oracle of the Diamond City." she says, by way of greeting and introduction. "What brings you here, travellers?" She does eye Golden curiously, her bright blue eyes gleaming as if 'scanning' the creature.

Theurgus covers her mouth with the back of her left hand, and chuckles softly behind it. "Wahahaha~. Another of the Learned I see! Curiosity is the lifeblood of invention after all!" she remarks, looking Dorian over closely. "How do I do what?" she asks next, tilting her head after folding her arms over her chest.
Dorian Pavus     That sense of magic actually draws Dorian's attention back to the entrance before the Oracle's greeting to the Digimon and Trainer. He's got to way to sense data or information like this, but he can definitely sense magic. He nods politely to Golden and Ashley, as well as a politely offered, "Greetings." He does actually assume here, assuming that, by the fairy's reaction, that the strange creature and his accompanying human are just as new here as he is.

Theurgus's laughter draws his attention back, and he smirks a bit. "I am," he assures her, to the mention of 'learned'. Though the question gets a tilt of his head, and it takes a moment for him to quite get what she's asking. "Oh. Oh yes. 'How do you do' is just a greeting. Asking after one's health, generally."
Golden     Ashley is taken aback by the sudden influx of attention from Charta and Dorian. "Uh, hellow. I'm Ashley Amber. We were just wandering because I haven't seen this city before."
Golden errrs. "Yeah, I'm Goroubei. I haven't been here before either. I'm Ashley's guardian beast." Well, it's a half-truth, but Golden supposes it works. He's looking around the place with those red eyes of his, taking in the sights.
Ashley ahs... "An oracle? You tell the future?" The girl had heard of things like that, but hadn't seen or met one living in Vale.
