Nagato     It's evening, the Admiral's office is lit up and the map board is back with more marks upon it. There was something bugging her, what happened over the radio a few days ago... the direct threat to one of her subordinates... and then her Boss. The Admiral sighs a bit and moves to sit upon her chair, pulling out a small glass. "Kagurazaka, Admiral's Office." comes the voice over the radios, along with some other voices to direct the Fifth Fleet.

Another sigh comes to her as she looks at the door expectantly, pushing a glass to the edge of the desk, in preperation for the woman to enter.
Yuna Kagurazaka It takes *just* long enough for Yuna Kagurazaka to arrive that she probably wasn't at Hikari when the summons went out; however, the door to the Admiral's office opens and Yuna enters at a brisk pace, even wearing her SDP uniform. "Reporting as ordered, Admiral," she says crisply - even pulling off a proper salute, *not* something she usually worries about.
Nagato     Punctual. Nagato gives a brief nod and opens a palm towards the chair. "Please have a seat, I trust you have your report ready for me?" She leans back slightly. "In addition, There's other things we need to talk about." she leans forward, gendo-posing. "Now, shall we begin?" she questions, "Water is at your ready for when you need it, Kagurazaka."
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna nods, taking a seat on the offered chair, tucking her skirt up under her legs so it's not rumpled behind (or under) her. "All right. There are a few things I'm not quite fully caught up on, but I'll go over what I *do* know." She pauses briefly, gathering her thoughts.

"A friend of mine said that he was worried about the Paladins' plans to try summoning an entity which is capable of freely opening warpgates to any desired point in the known Multiverse. It's also been mentioned that this entity - initially called a 'Warp Iris' - is an infovore: it eats knowledge, data, even memories. My friend was worried about a being like that in the hands of .... pretty much anyone, and he asked me to help make sure that it didn't happen."

Yuna grimaces slightly. "Actually, he wanted to destroy it. I wasn't so sure, but I decided to help him out as best I could." She pauses for a sip of water.
Nagato     Nagato thinks about this, nodding some as she listens to her subordinate speak. "I see. An infovore." she writes a few things down on a pad and listens some more. "I wasn't aware of these plans to summon an entity to open warpgates. Maybe it's beyond my paygrade." she mutters, listening some more, "Who was it that you helped? In addition, who was it that wanted to kill you if you stood in his way? Keep in mind, i take matters involving my fleet seriously, and since you're part of it you're under my protection too. I can't stand to lose any more fleet members."
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna sets the glass down again. Well, she was going to have to explain that at some point, wasn't she?

"The young man who asked for my help is a German student named August Kohler; I met him when I was drawn into events at Drachenblatt Academy, the school where he and several others are enrolled. Having seen what happened for myself, though, I think August may have been overreacting - the Warp Iris *does* pose a potential threat, but I believe we have a good chance to persuade it to try and coexist peacefully with people. It may not work out very well over the long term," she admits ruefully, "but better try to make peaceful inroads than resort to trying to obliterate it out of hand."

"As for the man who threatened me, he's a Chaos cultist and sorceror. I don't mean Chaos as an abstract concept, either; there are gods of Chaos whom Argast Wyrdseeker worships and claims to serve." At this point, Yuna's normal good humor is *completely* absent, an atypically serious expression on her face, accented by a troubled look in her eyes. "I've crossed his path before, and I've ... I've seen what other servants of Chaos have done, from Karian's universe. I *will not* let Wyrdseeker have his way with the Warp Iris ...."

She trails off, fists clenching on her lap.
Nagato     ... August Kohler. "Ugh, that name." she sighs, "No wonder... okay, he.. he really isn't someone I would prefer you sortieing with in the future. He's unstable and I'd rather not have a valuable member like yourself caught up in antics that will get him killed." she sighs a bit more, "I'm not sure if this... Warp Iris... is capable of doing it, I am not as involved as you are.. or the rest of the Paladins. But please, if it decides to try to harm you... or anyone, I do not think talking to it will be of any help at that point."

A pause, then the Chaos Cultist is brought up now. "I'll have to join you if this ... Chaos Cultist decides to do anything to you." Nagato comments, "If that also means /destroying/ that Warp Iris before it gets the chance to accept help from someone who has globablly said they would kill someone if they got in his way... I cannot allow it to stand."
Yuna Kagurazaka "August is a friend," Yuna says patiently. "I wound up not agreeing with him about killing the Warp Iris, but I'm not going to abandon him when it comes to the Mirror Forest incidents in Alberichstadt. As for the Warp Iris ... I think we collectively convinced it not to hurt anyone, at least for now. When it shows up again, I may want to offer it my knowledge of friendship and love - I'm pretty sure understanding those will teach it the value of those things, and it'll want to seek out peaceful relationships rather than continuing to attack people."

That's mostly a welcomed sidetrack from the Chaos stuff, though, and Yuna picks up the glass for another deep sip.
Nagato     "I have heard him, I've seen him do things... and it makes me question him and his group's sanity." she shakes her head, "This MIrror Forest... I've only been there twice." she mutters, shaking her head, at least until she hears what Yuna's been doing for the Warp Iris and the offer. "With that, I'd still want to be behind just in case. I don't trust it... I don't trust a lot of the things that are going on now with that and I wanna make sure you're fine."

There's a foot tap... and a look of pondering upon the Battleship's face... "Mmm..."
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna makes a face. "Yeah, they're ... a little crazy sometimes, I guess? But they really are protecting people as well as they can."

She finishes her water. "I'm more worried about Wyrdseeker," she admits. "I'm not so much afraid for my own sake ... but I've seen what the servants of Chaos do, and ...." A darker look crosses her face, and she carefully sets the empty glass down on Nagato's desk. "Stopping things like that is why a Savior of Light needs to exist. I won't let Wyrdseeker do as he pleases."
Nagato     "Protect... huh?" she shakes her head, "Then I will support you in what you do." she turns around, "Also... as a Paladin.." she sighs, "I may have to punish you. Right now, I am not going to. Your goals are noble." she leans a bit. "For now, you can go rest, thank you for the report."
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna gets a rueful look again. "It's things like this that are why I didn't join the Paladins," she admits, rising to her feet. "If there's somebody who needs help, or a monster who needs to be confronted, I can't just follow orders when those orders keep me from getting involved where I'm needed."

She bows politely. "Have a good night, Admiral," she says softly, before leaving the office.
