Mitsu Mirage     It's close to mid afternoon, the grove that Mitsu scouted out earlier yesterday is still there where she left it, untouched by human (and pony) hands as of yet. It's a peaceful setting, tall trees with blooming flowers upon them, radiating magic miles wide. This is the target that the Mage wanted so Anne could fix her dolls. It'll take a bit, but Mitsu's running across the plains towards it, bouncing here and there off bushes, trees, rocks and the like with, hopefully, Bramble in tow following after.

Meanwhile, the kingdom near said grove is all hustle and bustle, making contacts to people and setting a general 'request for help' call. The entire castle is ran by fae folk, wings and all, but any sort of actual defense is either invisible or non existant, and it'd would still take them a long while to get to the grove. It's here, hopefully, our intrepid heroes will answer said call for assistance and head to the grove to... stop a possible attack?
Bramble Patch Bramble Patch can't leap and bounce along the scenery like the bunbun can, but she doesn't need to either. She's an Earth Pony, she can just run, and run, and run some more. She's got more than enough stamina to keep going and keep up reasonably well, if not quite as quick.

But the farther into the woods and closer to the grove they get she does let out a soft hiss to herself as the gemstone in her headband pulsates a few times. The corrupt nature magic contained within the gem is having a fit over the fae forest's own magical essense it would seem.
Zephyr Windstar     Itinnerent mercenary Mage. Check. Personal grudge against the interloper. Check. Teleport seal in Mitsu's path. Priceless.

Zephyr appears in the open field, axe in hand, and turns towards the approaching intruders. "That's about as far as you go." she says, brandishing her axe in it's smaller form, three sub Bits rotating lazily about her body. "You want these trees, you'll need to get past me first."
Mitsu Mirage     There's conversation! And now a laughing Mage from getting a possibly 'not joke' joke. "So we gotta do it the old fashion way, huh? Punching and kicking and uprooting it by .. mundane methods, huh." she gives a shrug as she looks back... the pony keeps up quite well, this is nice. "Okay, so no just making it walk up on its own. I may have to see that with a regular tree, that /has/ to be some interesting magic, y'know." They're approaching the open field in the forest, getting close to the grove itself... you could almost /feel/ it radiating magic the two are that close.

<Master. Device Signature detected.> Mitsu screeches to a halt into the clearing, "WHAT?! Now? Here!? OH for the love of whatever deity..." the claws on Kratzenfaust spark up, the rabbit mage is quite angry at this, she didn't expect any opposition... just come in, get the thing, go out, no big deal. Then Zephyr had to show herself and she sighs.

"Look, Zephyr... It's a TREE.... it's not like I'm going to uproot the entire forest to take back to do some crazy magical things to it..." 'yet...' "I just need the wood for my boss, y'know. Go in, get tree or three, go out. We leave the rest alone." she looks at the axe and the Bits... "Though, I have a feeling you don't care.. do you?"
Bramble Patch "It's okay, I came prepared for this sort of thing." Probably why she's got an axe slung across her back instead of her usual spade. But that might be a moot point by the sound of it.

Bramble Patch slows down when she hears the exclaimation about opposition, and has to resist rolling her eyes. She's been dealing with so-called good guys interrupting things for long enough to just expect it, if the way she slows to a trot is any indication. "Yeah, so why don't you just go mind your own business instead of sticking your nose in ours."
Zephyr Windstar     "Nope. I've been hired to protect this grove by the locals... so unless you can get past me, or buy out my contract," she leans forward a bit. "That'll be three times what they paid me to even consider it." straightening up. "You're not gonna get any of these trees."

Zephyr rolls her shoulders, then cracks her neck. "So, I see it you've got two options. Fight me and get your ass kicked, or turn around and go home." <Master. We are outnumbered.> "And?" <We do not have Union support if we get wounded this time.> "We've been paid up front Dee. Can't just go backing out now." <Alright. MISTRAL STORM. AREA MODE!>

The Bits flit out and the air in a 200m area around the Mage becomes very hostile.
Xiaomu "Little rabbit," a likely-familiar voice calls out from above, "if I had a koku for every time somebody said 'it's just another tree, the forest's full of them,' I could buy a whole archipelago for displaced youkai *and* feed them for at least a year. You don't even know where you are, do you? Or is it just that you don't care?"

The speaker shows herself quickly, as Xiaomu leaps out of the branches of the tree she was perched in and lands easily in front of Mitsu and Bramble Patch. "Do you have any way of knowing who or what inhabits any of these trees? Not to mention that this whole kingdom is richer in magical and supernatural forces than any world I've set foot in - odds are there are spirits and other entities living here that *I* don't know how to identify. So yeah, if your boss wants some lumber, try to find a way to get it that doesn't involve cutting somebody's home down. You *might* be able to get away with pruning a few branches, but I wouldn't even place bets on that."

Zephyr engages Mistral Mode right as Xiaomu finishes, obliging the sage fox to raise her voice for the last few words.
Mitsu Mirage     ...Okay, there was Zephyr. That much was fine. Lightning and Wind go hand in hand most of the time. "Of course, protect the locals from the so called bad guys. We're not even punching or uplifting the castle nearby." 'yet.' The offer to buy out said contract causes the bunny mage to perk up. "Of course you little sell out. We'll see how long you last. You know you can't beat me..." a pause, listening to the device... "You know, that device is smarter than you. I'm surprised it doesn't leave you with how reckless you are."

Pot calling kettle pitch black there.

There's another voice... and Mitsu's face faults. Seriously?! Xiaomu shows her face and she shakes her head, "So Madame Flat shows up. Y'know I just don't really care. My boss wants something and by whatever deity you believe in, Imma get it." she cracks her knuckles a bit, looking between the two. "Once again, we don't really care, if I have to, I'll just /burn/ this place down. Trees catch fire really nicely when you strike them with lightning."

She backs away slightly, getting into a defensive stance. "Hey... Bramble. Think you can at least get one of them off my back? Maybe?"
Bramble Patch Bramble Patch's nostrils flare as she snorts, stomping a hoof a few times on the ground as equines tend to do when they're agitated. "Like swattin' flies with a tail. You two should just do yourselves a favor and run back to whatever hidey hole it is you lurk in when not butting into none of your business."
Zephyr Windstar     Zephyr glances to Xiaomu when the Sage Fox arrives. "Glad for the backup... I'll take care of little miss Bunnyhop, think you can handly small, hoofed and plant-controlling?" she asks the Shinra member, as she shifts her stance and moves out a bit to the side, aiming to intercept Mitsu if she tries to break past.

"Hey, gotta put the offers on the table. Merc life is hard, y'know. Gotta get the best deal." she retorts at Mitsu for the 'sell-out' comment. "You couldn't buy my contract anyway, too rich for your blood." She holds off on her attack for the moment. She's here to defend the place, not destroy it.
Xiaomu "Your grammar is off, because it's 'deities' plural," Xiaomu says matter-of-factly. "I'm not sure off-hand what the count of Buddhist deities comes to, but Shinto sets it at about eight hundred million. Just for future reference."

She twirls her staff, the rings on its headpiece jingling with the movement as she looks between Mitsu and Bramble. "You think I *want* to be out here? I have games and anime and movies to catch up on, I'd sooner be curled up on the sofa in front of the TV, whether the controller in my hands is a gamepad or the TV remote. But I can't ignore a request for help, either - and like I hinted, this kind of thing is personal."

The staff stops twirling, and Xiaomu's right hand reaches into the back of her vest, coming out with a white handgun marked with a black dot. "So, you work with plants?" she asks Bramble Patch. "Seems like you should want to kick the rabbit's teeth in for casually talking about burning a forest down .... but if you're out for me, fine. Not my first rodeo~"
Mitsu Mirage     A look is shot towards Xiaomu, "No, my grammar was perfectly fine, but we're not gonna talk semantics here. If you wanna be there with a game pad, tv remote and watching anime, why the hell are you here? Get out of our hair and we'll be out of yours." she gives a shrug before turning to Zephyr. "Oooh, bunnyhop, that's a new one. Hey Bramble, I'm leaving Foxy Mccan'tchooseagod to you." she smirks slightly, rolling her head a bit to make a few cracking sounds.

"NO less than fourty eight hours out of the hospital for the /last/ thing I did... and now this, oh well." There's some shell loading sounds as that Belkan magic circle appears under her. "Sorry. Not sorry." a wild grin comes to her face and she slashes at the air! "Lightning claw!" six blades of blue lightning are created and shot out towards Zephyr, going for first blood before launching herself out of that circle to rapidly close distance with her. "Come on, Zephyr. Shall we dance the storm of air and lightning? Let's both burn away this forest... together!"

Kratzenfaust makes a few estranged beeps of protest when Mitsu launches, <Master. Don't fight at one hundred percent, risk of injury is high. "CAN IT!"
Bramble Patch "This isn't -my- forest, why should I care beyond what we came here for?" Bramble Patch snorts in respons, lowering her head as she scrapes the ground again. Eyes narrow as the fox whips out something obnoxious like a gun. Tch. People thinking they can just come up and shoot her, end things easy as that.

As she narrows her eyes the gemstone on her headband pulsates a few times, still in a bit of flux as the corruption of Everfree's dark magic squirms through the fae magic of the forest. She can't just uproot a tree to walk away easily, but she can still mess around with smaller growths. Like making several thorny vines sprout of the ground at Xiaomu's feet, trying to lash onto the arm holding the gun and pull it in a direction away from Bramble Patch.
Zephyr Windstar     Zephyr braces as she sweeps Divine Wind in a wide arc. <MISTRAL SABER!> A swirling purple blade beam lashes out to intercept the blue from Mitsu's attack.
Zephyr grins a bit as Mitsu Dashes forward. She would find her approach stifled by a sudden pulse of high pressure, coupled with a sudden lowering of the air pressure behind her, attempting to drag and shove her backwards as Zephyr jumps and hovers back and up a little. "I don't plan on burning anything." she retorts, the blade of her Device splitting into thin 'vanes' that rotate rapidly around the gemstone at the head. Mana-infused air focusses into a sphere between those rotating vanes, and the Mage intones, along with her Device in unison <CYCLONE DRIVER!> "Cyclone Driver!"

The 'ball' distends, and with the sound of a machine gun firing, a stream of kinetic pellets lash out to pummel the rogue mage and the ground around her, kicking up little plumes of dirt with misses.
Xiaomu Xiaomu wasn't even aiming at Bramble Patch yet, but going for the gun arm is technically a smart move nonetheless. The sage fox is already on the move, though - STILL not actually aiming at the arbormancer pony, but opening fire nonetheless ... and causing ice to form where the bullets hit the ground. If Bramble's too close to any of those shots on impact, the ice might encase a leg or two as it crystallizes.

To say nothing of what'd likely happen if *she* gets shot with that handgun - not that the ice is that big or that heavy, but it'd likely slow her down quite a bit.
Bramble Patch Bramble Patch jumps backwards as Xiaomu opens fire anyways, even though she's only shooting the ground to form clusters of ice. She manages to stay out of the way but the cold crystallization does catch some of the vines she was lashing up, making them freeze and shatter apart. "Ice the ground so I can't make anything grow from it? Not sure if that's clever, or if its just a lucky accident for you."

The pony rears on her back legs, so she can reach into the contents of her vest with her forehooves, and pull out a pair of large peppers. "If you're going to be such a ice queen, I'm just going to have to turn up the heat." Bramble holds the peppers at the sides of her head, so she can bite both stems at once and pull them off. Then throw them towards Xiaomu, making the stem break almost look like pulling the pins out of a pair of grenades.

Which turns out to be pretty accurate imagery, because that's exactly what the hot peppers do. Explode like inciderary grenades with intense heat and smoke laden with all those natural compounds that make hot peppers so, well, HOT.
Mitsu Mirage     "Well, we'll just see about that, I'll turn your raging wind into an inferno of lightning!" she calls out to the Wind Mage, the blades of blue lightning explode on contact with the Mistral Saber and it only serves to propel her forward, at least, until the air pressure decides to do a strange dance of high and low, dragging her back a foot or two. "H... ey you cheater! But that's okay." she grins a bit, "Shocker Shield." a barrier of lightning surrounds the woman to help normalize her own barometrics and to take the brunt of the mass of air pellets, holding still as the dustcloud gets bigger.

There's an odd chime from Kratzenfaust, <Master. You aren't going down, are you?"> a grin comes to the mages face, using the dust cloud to bury herself into the Earth and using her magic sense to try and detect Divine Wind. <Master. Need I remind you, I am not a digging implement for your hare brained schemes.> "Relax, this will work. I hope." digging more and more under... she stops to roughly where she thinks the Wind Mage is.

The sound of cartridges load once more, echoing... before "Shocker Breaker!" a blast of lightning and earth explode from above where Mitsu was at, sending shrapnel of rock shards up and away like a grenade along with a large ball lightning that streaks its way towards Zephyr!
Zephyr Windstar     <Device Signature has gone subterranean. Tracking.> Mitsu isn't the only one that can track Device signals! Once the other mage stops, Zephyr shifts quickly to one side, taking the edge of the blast, and getting showered with shrapnel, but not taking the full brunt, though the ball lightning does lash her Barrier Jacket with a few scorch marks as it passes. "Digging around like the little rodent you are huh... try this one on for size!"

She shifts her stance, and with a recall of the Bits, forms them up around those spinning vanes of her Device. The three Bits channel energy into a 'confinement' ring, as a purple ball of energy begins to grow. <MISTRAL BUSTER, TEMPEST SHIFT!> The beam that lances out, aimed where the last signal was located, is a very tightly focussed thing, designed for pinpoint, instead of wide area strikes.
Xiaomu Xiaomu doesn't even have to wait and see what the peppers do; she uses grenades herself from time to time - and ironically, she made a point of NOT bringing any tonight, because you don't bring incendiaries to a *forest* that you're trying to *protect*. So she's pretty sure the peppers are going to explode or something, and leaps back to try and avoid being where they'll land. She fires a couple more shots from her handgun, as if she's trying to knock the grenades out of the air - or more likely, encase them in ice so the explosive damage is limited ...

But she wasn't counting on *Bramble Patch's* pepper grenades being just as incendiary as Xiaomu's own occasional Shinra specials. The fireballs erupt with enough force and heat to shatter/melt whatever ice the sage fox might have left on them, and Xiaomu actually gawks briefly before slamming her staff's butt on the ground next to her, trying to raise MORE ice and squelch the flames. Yeah, the staff has ice magic too. "Okay, if you two are going to go all scorched-earth, you're not giving me much of a choice. I'll do my best not to kill you, though ... there's no honor in beating a dead horse."

She re-holsters her handgun, then leaps into motion - literally leaping, trying to wall-jump off of a couple of trees and get over Bramble Patch's position. *Then* she drops, not to land on the pony directly but to try and drop a roundhouse kick across the back of Bramble's head.
Mitsu Mirage     Well, that's gonna be a problem. This worked against Princess Luna, so she thought this would work against Zephyr to the same extent, after all, playing this trump card twice probably didn't help either. Once her position is obtained, that Mistral Buster's beam lances out and strikes Mitsu's thigh, scorching the armor from the high intensity beam there, and raising her eyes... "Oh, so you wanna be serious?" Mitsu's face upturns to a scowl, cracking her neck and other body parts to make some loud noises.

It's here... that she makes a break for the grove! "Screw it!" she shouts, bouncing towards the raging wind wall, eyes scanning it some to see how high it is before she takes a large leap... twists around. "Hey, Zephyr." and launches her six claws towards the other mage, "This is how you do a binding spell!" she shouts, coursing lightning energy through it, to try and wrap around the Mage and use the tension to slam her into the ground!

"It's to make your target suffer... to torture them... to make them give up!" she intensifies the lightning burst down the cables before landing near the edge of that wind wall. "Let the wind wall go... let me get my trees... and I'll promise to let you fight me again another day!"
Bramble Patch As the magical hot peppers explode with enough fiery force to blast ice and sage fox alike around, Bramble Patch cackles with the sort of glee one would expect from a pony that use to proudly proclaim herself as an aspiring villain. Though at that one remark it cuts short with such sharpness that when she snaps her head back down to glare you can almost hear the 'record scratch' sound that would be there in a cartoon. "Hey, that's racist! How would you like it if I threatened to skin you for a fox fur coat?!" Not that Xiaomu is visibly furry, but it's the same sort of insulting implication.

But true to antagonist form getting her on a bit of a rant is just enough of a distraction for Xiaomu to forest parkour her way around the pony and land a good hard kick from behind that sends the pony tumbling across the grove.

Until she manages to roll back to her hooves and shake herself off, trying to ignore the ringing in her head from the roundhouse kick. "Geez! Who do you think you are, Buck Norris?" With a huff she grabs some of the vines tucked in her mane free, which wind themselves into a barbed ring as she does so. "You're not the only one that can use the environment to bounce around."

Well she doesn't bounce around herself, but Bramble Patch does throw the thorny charkam to ricochete off a few trees before actually hurtling towards Xiaomu, trying to get it at an angle that will be hard for the sage fox to predict. Yeah yeah, this trick is also a bit of a rip off. The warrior princess can kiss my flank if she thinks I care. I'm a bad girl, stealing things is what I do.
Zephyr Windstar     <REACTOR PURGE!> intones Divine Wind with a note of finality. The Bind latches on, slams Zephyr into the ground and courses electricity through her... until the energy is cancelled out by the outer layer of the Mage's Barrier Jacket literally exploding outwards, shattering the bind but leaving Zephyr with less defense.

Zephyr gets back to her feet, grimaces as she shakes the last few sparks out of her right hand. "How about 'No'?" she returns, then kicks her boots against the ground, before she launches with enough speed to cause a crater in her wake.

Zephyr's form blurrs out from the burst of speed, and she brings her right fist up under Mitsu's guard with a chime from Divine Wind. <MACH PUNCH!> that fist glowing purple and encased in a shape-charge kinetic blast.
Xiaomu "You think I *haven't* heard that one?" Xiaomu complains as she just goes flat on the ground, letting the crown of thorns rebound past over her head. She does NOT stay down for long, though - when you're fighting someone who manipulates plants, the ground is as far from 'safe' as it gets. "And why should I make your life any easier by telling you what my specialties are?"

As she comes down from her latest leap, a big chunk of ice forms where Xiaomu's about to land - and when she DOES land on it, she imparts enough momentum to send the ice block sliding forward at a very good clip. Straight at Bramble Patch, too, like she intends to run the pony down on that big chunk of ice.
Bramble Patch "Why should I care if you do or not?!" Bramble Patch retorts, while muttering to herself that despite the tricky throw Xiaomu still manages to duck out of the way. Then more of the ice, this time using it to speed towards her. Ugh, she wasn't kidding about cold making it harder to work her magic, especially when she already has to struggle against the local fae magic opposing it.

Fortunately, she doesn't have to quite sit there and take being run down. A pony is still a horse, and a horse is a horse of course. Especially ones of the Earth Pony variety, with their tougher physical traits.

Which would be why as the sage fox iceberg surfs towards her Bramble Patch spins around, planting her front hooves to the ground and bucking up to kick with the back legs, trying to smash the ice block right out from under the wily not-kitsune-but-I-can't-spell-the-other-fox-demon-name.
Mitsu Mirage     The bind works at least for a bit, she got to slam her rival into the ground and bind her up for a change! This is finally going Mitsu's direction for once! At least... she stops the dancing in her head when the barrier jacket explodes and forces her to retract her claws in order to not lose them. "Well, that's new." she mutters, holding still, a bit dumbfounded in what just happened. "Well, damn." and it doesn't even take that long for Mitsu to attempt to get out of the way...

And fails, taking a gut punch from the Wind Mage that sends her reeling, coughing up blood from the sheer force of impact and sending her to her knees, coughing hard, trying to catch breath that was stolen from her from that insane hit. Kratzenfaust chimes angrily, however, <Triple Lightning Shield.> it calls out on its own, forcing a triple layer of lightning orbs to encase the rabbit mage in hopefully protective energy. "Nngh," *cough*

"Zephyr... you find yourself a protector?" she coughs, again, standing up weakly. Portions of her face and body can be seen through the rotating shield, the storms eye looking out towards Zephyr. "You're nothing but... a useless mage!" Mitsu stumbles forward, coughing up again as she catches her breath, before stumbling backwards. She's getting close to the wind barrier, maybe she can...

"I told you. We are going to light the forest on fire together." she gets a strange grin upon her face. "Triple. Lightning. Burst." There's a large Belkan magic circle under her, the triple orbs surrounding the mage start to contract, encompassing the rabbit tightly in its protective shell.

The sound of cartridges being expended to fuel this burst echo even with the raging wind. <All cartridges expended.> comes the warning from the device as she nods, "Release!" the trio of lightning orbs explode out, sending heavy, magically charged bursts of lightning in every direction, hoping some will ride the wind and set some of the woods on fire. Or at the very least, area effect damage.
Xiaomu Well, Xiaomu wasn't expecting THAT - but she takes advantage anyway, jumping up and off the ice block as Bramble kicks it away ...

And trying to land on the pony's back. Not for a ride, though - she's not THAT rude (usually) (she can be tempted, though), but just to grapple, trying to wrap her arms around Bramble's neck and apply pressure. Sort of like a sleeper hold.

She should probably study up on how to apply a proper sleeper hold to a pony sometime, in case this becomes a regular thing. And given *her* line of work, she can't assume that it won't.
Zephyr Windstar     Zephyr pants softly as she recoils from that strike. The shock along her right arm rendering it limp and numb, useless for the time being. "Useless? Heh... I'm not the one stumbling around with probably a broken rib or two." she replies, then winces as her Linker Core throbs, leaking a burst of raw magic into her chest and dropping her to a knee.

The Wind Wall shimmers, faulters, then collapses, taking the lightning with it... though a few patches of forest have caught from the errant strikes.

The Wind Mage grits her teeth, and retracts her Bits once again. "Mistral Storm. Bind Mode." she says, pointing the Device itself towards Mitsu.

The Bits flit over, and trail purple 'ribbons' as they circle around the other Mage, attempting to bind her much like Mitsu bound Zephyr before, though these binds don't send electic shocks through their target.
Bramble Patch Smash goes the ice!... Followed by Bramble Patch smashing to the ground as Xiaomu lands on top of her. "GAWDANGIT I AIN'T NO MOTHERBUCKING MOUNT!" Arms wrap around her neck, but it's doing more to keep Bramble from getting up as she's squirming than it is actually getting her to pass out. Or maybe she's staying down because Mitsu is letting loose the lightning.

"Just because I'm keeping you off her back doesn't mean you need to be on mine!" Hahaha, call back. With a growl she focuses, the Everfree gemstone pulsating brighter for a moment. As the corrupted nature magic course through her it triggers the botanical materials woven into her vest, and several large sharp needles abruptly sprout out of it in an attempt to make it all the more difficult and painful for someone to stay on top of her.
Mitsu Mirage     A couple trees are on fire... and Zephyr is still up. The mage collapses down onto her knees and the wind wall is gone. THe bits retracted and she glares at the Wind Mage, eyes going wide at those words. The purple 'ribbons' bind the Rabbit all over, crushing her radio as well, her line going dead with the League for now. "NNngh!" she falls flat on her face, wincing... and starts rolling, struggling against the binding. She wasn't at 100% today, it's showing too.

"Augh son of a ..." there's angry beeping from Kratzenfaust to drown out the string of words that Mitsu lets fly. "You... stay away from me." she growls, the bunny-gone-bindapiller moves to hop up and stand, trying to break away from those binds, just a bit more... just let her break out of this... "Come on... Shocker Shield..." and there's no response... that's right, all her cartridges were expended that last attack. "Fuck." and then there's also Xiaomu, but Bramble's doing a good job keeping the sage fox away from her.

There's heavy panting coming from the bound up mage as she flails about in the binds. "I'm still defiant in the end!"
Xiaomu "YEOWCH!!"

Long, short, or in between, it barely matters if you're practically lying on top of whatever the thorns are suddenly sprouting out of. Suffice to say that Bramble Patch's gambit pays off, and Xiaomu scrambles to get off of the pony. "Didn't think I'd knock you flat like that," the sage fox says ... actually sounding kind of apologetic, too. Not exactly prostrating herself for forgiveness, but they *are* still fighting. "Anyway, yeah, I can't let you or bunnygirl steal any trees here, so ..."

Around comes the staff at high speed, and Xiaomu tries to simply clobber Bramble Patch across the noggin - not that she expects to land a knockout THAT easily, but you never know.
Bramble Patch As soon as the fox is off her back Bramble Patch bolts back to her hooves and scrabbles back from her opponent. She starts to say something but all that she manages it a wicker of surprise when her pet squirrel pops out of her mane and gives one of her ears a tug. "Gah! Not now Cupel, I'm busy!" But the squirrel gives a persistant tug again, chittering sharply and waving a paw in the other direction.

"Oh what is it that has your tail in a knot?!" But all she has to do is glance in the direction he's tugging in to see. "Oh." Then look back just in time to see the staff being swung at her. *WHACK* Bramble reels, leaving the squirrel comically midair as she's knocked out from under him. Good thing Cupel is a flying squirrel and just drops onto her head again afterwards, still chittering sharply.

"Yeah yeah, I know, I know! Sorry toots, more important things to do." Bramble gives a mock salute with one forehoof, then turns to run in the bound bunbun's direction. "I'm all for defiant but we're no good to anyone if we get beat into submission." Pause. "Or tied up like a hog." Sigh, she's gonna have to drag the magibun off isn't she.
Zephyr Windstar     Zephyr pants heavily, pushing herself shakily to her feet. "Defiant huh..... nnngh. You're bound, and I think my foxy friend is in better shape than all three of us put together." she replies. "Back off, go home, and maybe try approaching for a trade deal instead of straight up stealing." she wobbles, stumbles back against a tree, as Bramble comes over and just slides down it, gripping at her chest as the binds very faintly flicker.
Xiaomu Well, if the pony is running and isn't trying to make off with additional wood, Xiaomu's got better things to do than try to wrangle her further into submission. She heard thunder earlier, though, and not the refreshingly deep natural kind - plus, Mitsu *was* threatening to light the forest on fire with her lightning spells.

Xiaomu takes a couple of deep breaths, looking around from her current ground-bound vantage point, then tries climbing a nearby tree to see what she can pin down about where the actual fire is - and what she can do about stopping it.
Mitsu Mirage     Mitsu grumbles a bit at this, even if the binding seems to be flickering. "Back off? BACK OFF?! I can't, you know I won't... whby do you even..." suddenly, she's moving. And it's not by her own will! Being dragged away by the Earth Pony. She's still struggling against those binds as she is dragged off... and hitting a few of the rocks and dirt she blasted up... "ow... ow ow ow... damnit, Bramble, be gentle!" she shoots daggers towards Zephyr and Xiaomu, then looks beyond them.

There's about four trees on fire, and if it's not taken care of soon, even more will start to catch fire. "I'm not going to let you live this down, Zephyr! I will get my revenge!" even if the magibun doesn't get anything, she knows where to go next time, still squirming against the binds as she's dragged off... "How... embarrasing."
Xiaomu Xiaomu makes a face. Seriously ... "Oi, Zephyr!!" she calls out. "We've got a few trees burning, can you use your wind magic to starve the fires of oxygen or do I need to -"

She looks down, seeing the wind mage leaning heavily against a tree. Very heavily. More sitting than leaning.

".... Right, I'll see what I can do," the sage fox calls out, then heads towards the burning trees.

Her approach is going to be pretty simple: conjure enough ice to quench and/or smother the fires. She's got more potent ice magic in her staff, but the Roc's Icebrand might do some good on that front as well.
Bramble Patch Bramble Patch mutters something to the effect of "You get use to it" but because she's got her mouth full of holding onto Mitsu to drag her away it's not very clear. For as much of a jerk as she can be, she's not the sort to just leave her allies abandoned in the middle of the battlefield.
