Owner Pose
Tomoe So Japan, well another Japan, this one has had some odd talk about it from the talk of a mysterious black castle on the US west coast, to an island off of Califorina which seems to be a post apoch sci-fi wasteland with a massive city with in it. Or here with Japan? A massive floating castle which can be seen from down Town Tokyo itself. Josuke would have found a fairly good gameshop one that was involved in a number of video games going back to the Atari they even did imports of forgien games too both native to this world and beyond. They even have a section titles, When Development takes a diffent path. Were alternate takes on local series from other worlds are posted for sale.

Today there's various people going about the shop and one is a very tall red headed woman, whose clearly not japanese and she oddly has floral tattoos on her left arm, one might be able to make out a bit. She's chatting with the owner likely about something or another. Her Japanese while accented is ... actually fairly good and shows she's had a lot of practice.

"So the order's in? Great and I'm not shocked VR systems are ... not selling as well as they used to."

The owner nods for a moment "Tell me about it Miss Armstrong but I have to go tend to a few other things. If you have anything else to buy do let me know."
Josuke Higashikata Hey, nice! A Gamestop! The franchise has only been in business for a few years in Josuke's world. Not nearly enough for a good many of them to have found their way to Japan. But that's not the case here. This world seems to be further along in time than his own. Which he's not complaining about. Though he IS curious how such small phones can be 'smart'...

Anyway. He's heard about the relatively recent 'additions' to the world. That's kind of why he's here, in fact. Video games, but totally not? It's weird. But yes, he's stopped temporarily outside the Gameshop to see the floating castle. And blinks. "...What's that?" he asks, to no one in particular. After watching the floating castle for a few moments, he heads inside.

And it's here where he hears something interesting. And he turns towards the speaker. So he moves over to the girl with the floral tattoos. When he's in easy speaking reach, he asks hesitantly, "Excuse me... did you say something about VR?" he asks. "As in, 'Virtual Reality'?" That was a pipe dream in his word. The closest thing Josuke's world had to 'VR' was the Virtual Boy...
Tomoe The woman with the long red hair turns to look over at Jojo for a moment nodding for a moment nas tilting her head a little. "Yes, exactly that. Come looking for some gaming hardware? Given what's happened the price and interest on Virtial Reality gaming notably MMORPGs has dropped off a bit." She seems friendly enough though she carries herself a bit on the odd side. She seems friendly though. "You curious about that sort of thing? I been into it for a while."
Josuke Higashikata If Josuke notices how oddly the red-haired girl carries herself, he doesn't mention it. Even if he did, it would be rude to say anything, right? Josuke's not that kind of kid. Though her answer does surprise him, and he tilts his head at the answer. "With what's happened?" he echoes. He seems surprised at this. "What happened to kill VR sales? Something better come out?" He can't really imagine anything BETTER than true VR. "Yeah, we don't have anything like that where I'm from. The closest thing we've got is all red and messed with your eyes."
Tomoe Tomoe says "Not so much that more what's happened. I'm certain you saw the Castle floating off in the distance? That was from a game a rather infamous game to be honest. It's bleeding all over the place into reality now and everything things have been chaotic to put it midly and people are now a bit more wary of the technology or too busy dealing with things. We have the floating castle there, America's got the Island now of Glocken off it's coast. Jamaica and the like are dealing with CCO related thing and now there's that castle in Washington State. Oh I'm Sheena Armstrong."

She says the name like she's almost not used to using, it but that wouldbe silly right?
Josuke Higashikata Josuke nods at the mention of the floating castle. Then blinks at Glocken Island. And his eye twitches when he's told about Jamaica's 'CCO', whatever that is. And then shakes his head at the mention of the castle in the state of Washington. "Wow! So all those places are from games? But they're literally bleeding into the real world?" he asks. Pause. "I mean. I saw the floating castle on my way in. I didn't know what it was, though."

Oh, and then names, awesome! As Sheena introduces herself, he bows politely. "Pleased to meet you," he says, almost meekly. "I'm Josuke Higashikata."
Tomoe Tomoe says "Yes it's like it's been super imposed on all of reality yes. The castle is from ALO and before than SAO. CCO was a pirate themed game and Gloken is from GGO aka Gun Gale Online. We had things start to spawn away from it too. A massive old boss from ALO appeared and rampaged through the city a few weeks ago. It's good to meet you Josuke Higashikata. Welcome to a very sadly now strange corner of the multiverse. I'm honestly worried about the long term effects of things."
Josuke Higashikata That's a lot of information to take in at once, but Josuke's a smart kid. He can sort it all out. "So, the alphabet soup are the names, right?" he asks. "I've never heard of any of these games before." But he can definitely understand one thing. "Yeah... if these places are bleeding into the real world, where's it going to stop?" He pauses a moment, chewing on his bottom lip for a second, in thought. "That... actually brings a lot of questions up. And none of them are really ones I'd like to think about happening here."

And then he seems to get an idea. "Hey. If these are like video games, they need a party of adventurers to go through and clean them out, right?" he asks. "Maybe they'll go back to normal if that happens. I'm pretty good in a fight. I can give you a hand if you need it," he offers.
Tomoe Tomoe Says "Short hand for a game's full title, more or less. That we don't know yet, so far we had no major cities directly effected but it seems it's not going to stop any time soon." She tlooks to him sadly and says "There are some adventuries out there many of the more ... hardcore players found they had abilities now. As for that maybe we don't know but more help would wbe welcome if you actually can fight. I don't wish to lead anyone to their death. I hopw you understand that much? What kind of Tank would I be if I didn't make sure anyone helping out was at least able to surive, right?"

Her posture shifts a bit she's sizing up Josuke for a moment like she's trying to get a basic idea of what he can do.

"You do understand it's lethal now, I hope?"
Josuke Higashikata Josuke seems relieved when it's noted that the whole 'suddenly you're a video game' hasn't happened to a major city. Yet. That could be a problem. Though he does blink as she notes people suddenly have abilities now. "Really? So it's not just the monster nests, but even some heroes too? That's good." It would suck even MORE if monsters nests started showing up and people couldn't fight back.

And he nods as Sheena explains her point. "Oh yeah, I definitely get that. I wouldn't want anyone to get in over their head, either." She says the word 'tank', and Josuke pauses. Thinks a moment. MMOs aren't really 'a thing' where he's from, and most of his experience is with side-scrolling shmups and platforming games. But he's played the odd RPG -- hell, that one Japanese RPG with the guy with the spikey hair and the big sword just came out not too long ago!

So he notes, "Tank... that's the big guy you send out front, right? So everybody else can flank the enemy while the armored guy keeps the enemy bound up?" He's got the Joestar ingenuity, he can puzzle through this with little context. Though he does happen to think about something. Sheena doesn't... really look lik a big, armored guy. So he... blinks a little.
Tomoe Tomoe says "Maybe some are heroes are not. It's just how it goes with everyone but yes there re people who can fight back. Your catching on, yes the person up front who takes the worst hits and tries to keep the enemy focused on them. While the Support, heals or whatever you wish to call them do their thing and the DPS or Damage Per Second the damage dealers bring the monsters down." She is however tall Sheena is about five foot ten which is pretty tall no matter where your from.

"Looks can be deceptive too. Let's just say I had to learn by sinking or swimming back in the day."
Josuke Higashikata Indeed, there's that. Sheena's nearly Josuke's height. Which, given Josuke's tall for a Japanese first-year student, is quite a feat for a woman. That said, Sheena doesn't exactly look Japanese, so Josuke's a little less surprised. Sheena's lesson in party mechanics gets a thoughtful look. "Huh. That makes sense," he ultimately decides. "I guess, in that framework, I'm probably best suited to... DPS? I can do a bit of healing, too. Though, uh." He pauses, raising a hand to rub at the back of his neck, looking sheepish. "It's a little unorthodox by 'white magic' standards. I don't exactly break bottles with fairies in them."
Tomoe Tomoe is very not japanese that much is clear she gives him a basic less and he catches on for a moment. "Those who can heal are ... valuable. They can mean the diffences between someone making it home and not, right? Heh that's fine the crew I work with we're not exactly normal. Though you seem to have experiance with things beyond the mundane though."
Josuke Higashikata Josuke nods. "I figured you could at least use another healer, even if you've got all the damage-dealers you need," he notes. "It works a little funny... and I have to get to somebody BEFORE they die. After that... well, there's nothing I can do except fix their body. But they're still dead..." There's a bit of an edge to his voice. As if... maybe he found this out the hard way?

As for experience with beyond the mundane? Josuke tilts his head one way and then the other, looking sheepish. "Well... you could say that, yeah," he admits. "I'd be willing to explain it, but... not here." He looks around a little, just for a moment. "Most people can't see anyway, and I don't want people to think I'm crazy. Though... they might think we're talking about a game or something. Though I don't really wanna take the chance, y'know?"
Tomoe Tomoe says "Fine we can go somewhere else if you like I know a good cafe, it's friend of mine. He's trusthworthy and honestly not many are at Dicey's right now till after work starts to really let out." She notes with a grin she'll take what she has bought and put it into a back pack she has. "Or we can meet up later." She'll give Jojo her contact information.
