Alden The location, the digital world, more specifically, Alden's version of the digital realm!. Things have been peaceful for a long while, especially on the level where the gate is located, and with the change of policy regarding visitors, there aren't many 'guards', in fact, the only visible digimon paying attention, seems to be more of a greeter than anything.

Said digimon looks like a young lion. It even has the standard lion colors, with only a small tuft of red fur on it's head, looking like 'hair', and a golden necklace with a green gem on it.

The level itself is fairly nice, the area around the gate is a large plain, green grass, some small buildings around, even what seem to be food stands, the sky is clear, with fluffy clouds moving around, the color being the only thing hinting it might be an alien world, being purple, rather than the usual blue.

Not too far from the gate, there seemed to be a conversation, a large wolf, with periwinkle colored fluff, and some metal accessories, talking with a small bipedal bear who seems to be wearing a baseball cap.
Josuke Higashikata     Well, this wasn't what Josuke expected when he went through the warpgate! A 'digital' world? He kind of expected it to look like that old movie in the 80s where the guy ends up in the computer. White and flashy lights. But this looks... rather normal, actually. Which in itself is kind of weird.

He pauses as he notes both the 'greeter' and the conversation a little ways away. None of this is what he expected. But then, he's probably not what this world expected, either. He looks Japanese, but he's at least six feet tall, and his shoulders are quite broad. Not incredibly so, but moreso than one might expect of a normal Japanese kid. He's in his school uniform, because it's semi-formal, but he can still fight in it. And of course he's go his hair done up.

"Um... hi!" he greets the lion-thing. The tone is bright and friendly, if a bit uncertain. "I'm just sort of wandering around." Not completely a lie.
Alden The young lion perks his ears, and Josuke can tell the digimon feline is curious too, tilting his head a bit, first time he sees a human in that outfit!. Still, he remembers his job and quickly pads towards the 'tall' human, tail giving a flick while he grins, sharp fangs. "Hi!, welcome to the digital world!, I am Liollmon, nice to meet you." he says. Certainly the lion is not aware of the inplications of the hairdo!, and the outfit... he relates to a certain someone, "Is it your first time visiting?" he asks.

Meanwhile, the large wolf beast seems to begin sniffing the air, and turns around to look at the stranger, blinking, saying something to the bear, before quickly padding closer to get a closer look, he only saw that 'look' on tv once, so he is curious!
Josuke Higashikata     Okay. This lion-thing is adorable. Josuke can't help but smile when it speaks. "I'm Josuke," he offers brightly, with a friendly smile. As for whether it's his first time here? Josuke nods. "Yeah."

He looks up as he notes movement, and notes the wolf-thing coming closer. He blinks, and then offers a hesitant wave. "Hi?" He hopes he's not done anything wrong already! Then again, he doesn't really see any people, so... maybe this is what all the inhabitants are like?
Alden $t The lion is quite friendly, seems to even be purring!. "Nice to meet you Josuke!" he says, might be nice for Josuke to meet folks unaware of what the style he is wearing tends to 'mean'. The cat looks back and moves aside, still purring!, "Hope you have a nice visit! don't hesitate to ask for help or if you had questions.".

Meanwhile, the decidedly, sort of scary seeming wolf, breaks into a goofy grin, his long tail wagging, dispelling most of his 'dangerous' look in the process, "Hey, a visitor!, hi!" he yips excitedly, "What brings you to the digital world?" he asks casually, walking to Josuke's side, "I'm Alden!" he says, and raises a forepaw to shake it.
Josuke Higashikata     "Thanks!" Josuke replies to the small lion cub beastie. It's true, the little lion seems friendly enough! And that it's talking does much to assuage Josuke's fear that it might attack. As long as it can understand him he can reason.

The wolf, too, proves that it's both friendly and able to reason, when it too greets him. "Pleased to meet you! I'm Josuke," he offers, returning the paw-shake with his own hand. It seems like a handshake, so that's how he treats it. As for what brings him here? "My world unified pretty recently, and I haven't really gotten the chance to looks around much. So I thought I'd do that."
Alden The large wolf shakes the hand for a moment, and seems to realize that he might have commited some mistake, since as soon as the handshake finishes, he pulls back slightly, still smiling. There is a momentary flash of light centered on the wolf, seeming to 'shatter' only to reveal a far smaller, and thankfully cuter creature standing in front of Josuke, "Sorry for that, hope I didn't scare you, kind of forgot I was in that shape... I learned it freaks people out unless they are sure it's safe.". he does not seem to bother explaining, as if it was normal.

He grins, "I am surprised you took it all so calmly!". He wags his short tail and nods, "Ah, that is a great reason, been doing that as well." he says.

"It's nice meeting new folks, never know when you might need more friends!" he says. The digimon tilts his head a bit, "I like your hair." he says, "Looks really cool.". he comments casually, "Well, I'd be glad to explain things, show things too, do you like meat?." he asks, pointing to one of the stands.
The stand seems fairly simple, with the sign simply saying 'meat' and a simple drawing of a piece of meat on bone. The owner of the stand being a small... green blob with a pair of leaves on it's head. "I sometimes like to spar with new people, but I know not everyone likes to do it, or can't." he chuckles.
Josuke Higashikata     Aha! So even the scary ones can be cute too! Josuke smiles as Alden poofs into his smaller shape. "I was a little nervous, yeah," he admits. "But when you started to talk, I figured it was okay." As to taking things pretty calmly? "I've noticed that things in the Multiverse can be a little weird. And even my own world can get... really bizarre at times. So I guess I'm getting used to the weirdness."

The compliment on his hair seems to make Josuke absurdly pleased. He smiles broadly, and reaches up to pat at the front of his hair. "Wow, thanks!" He really does seem pleased with the comment, an honestly grateful smile on his face there. The question of if he liked meat gets a blink. "It's not like... raw, is it? Where does it come from?" He can't really see these guys as human-eaters, but it never hurts to ask.

The mention of sparring gets a tilted head. "Yeah? I understand that. There's sort of this... separation in my world. I'm a Stand-user, but most of the people I know aren't. They can't see Stands."
Alden The digimon tilts his head, "Hmm, no it's not raw, I mean, back when my Tamer came around he said it was good!" he says, "In here it grows from plants, I know that is different from how it works on most... places." he says, smiling. "Tanemon grows that meat in her farm a bit farther than here." he says. At least he explained a bit!. "It's good!".

He wags his tail more, intrigued when he hears about stands, "What are those?, some kind of special power?" he asks, "I have seen humans on other places that do lots of stuff that humans from here can't do, like magic and other odd things." he says.
Josuke Higashikata     Josuke's eyes go wide. "Wha? How do you 'grow' meat?" This may be directed a little more at Tanemon. But to Alden, he notes, "Yeah, that's sure not how meat works where I come from." He doesn't seem disgusted, grossed out, or distressed by the idea of grown meat.

Alden asks about Stands, and Josuke nods. "Uhuh. They're... well, not magic or anything like that. You've heard of people with psychic powers? Like being able to move things with their mind? In my world, people can't usually see the Stands, so that's what it looks like to most people -- psychic powers. Though I've noticed a lot of people outside my world seem to be able to see mine."
Alden      Alden nods, "I heard of that, using your mind to move and affect things!, I heard some digimon seem to do that.. and heard humans got some powers like that, but in my world seems mostly fantasy." he replies, smiling. When asked about the meat, he guides Josuke to the stand, where the Tanemon begins explaining what pretty much seems 'growing any random vegetable', burying seeds in prepared ground, watering them, and harvesting when ripe.

Alden grins, "I found out you can take grown meat plants to other places, I gave one bacon bush... well a little one, to Tony Stark as a gift a while ago." he replies, "As long as you water them and keepthem in good ground it should still grow bigger and produce meat, but you can't create those plants outside." he says casually.

He seems rather curious, "Are those stands strong?" he asks, "It sounds like an invisible creature following you and doing things for you, when asked."
Josuke Higashikata     "Magic's mostly a fantasy in my world too," Josuke notes. "Usually it's just a really powerful Stand user. I know somebody whose Stand can even stop time! Just for a few seconds, but still. In a fight, every second counts!"

Josuke also seems quite taken with the idea of just 'growing' meat. "Wow... that could solve a lot of global famine problems, if they're relatively hardy plants," he comments. "Do you export them? You might want to consider it; you'd probably make a lot of money that way."

As for the Stands? "Well... it's not really invisible, just most people can't see them." Pause, and he rubs at the back of his head. "If... that makes sense. They can be strong, but not all Stands are for fighting. Some have more utilitarian purposes. My... father's Stand is just vines. But my nephew's Stand is a really powerful fighter."
Alden The digimon nods, "Well, we have to be careful... I am affraid that if things get out too much, other people might get greedy and attack or something, that is not to say... we have not been considering it. They are standard plants from what I can tell." he says. He perks his ears at the time freeze, "That's really cool!, never heard of someone with a power like that." he muses, "I don't think the Sovereigns can stop time." he muses, rubbing his chin.

The explanation of how they vary gets a nod, "I can understand, not all digimon are as... strong, sometimes we just can do things differently, or not even be good in fights." he says, smiling, "Is your Stand strong?" he asks.
Josuke Higashikata     Josuke winces as he notes the implications. "Shoot, that's right," he realizes. "Not only people wanting to corner the market, but people wanting to stop the import of the food plants because it would put them out of business." He sighs, disappointed. "Greedy people ruin everything."

Then he blinks. "Sovereigns?" he asks. "Are those the gods that are in charge of your world?"

At the question of if his Stand is strong, he nods. "<Crazy Diamond> is what the Speedwagon Foundation calls a Short-Range Power Stand. <Star Platinum>, my nephew's Stand, is the same, too -- short range, but really powerful. My father's is supposed to be medium range, but I don't... really know much about it." Since he uh. Doesn't know his father very well...
Alden The small digimon nods, "Very true... I still hope to help people of course, but we have to figure how to handle it." he says softly. He sighs a bit and adds, "My kind were created by scientists... who turned us into a franchise since they needed funds... if you go to our human world... there is... or perhaps was?, things got odd when they found out we were real... but, there were mangas, anime, videogames too, and trading cards of us." he chuckles.

He nods, "Ah, short range!, my strongest form is mostly long range, but got one for close combat too." he says softly. "Crazy diamond, nice name." he adds, wagging. "My strongest form is called metal garurumon X." he says, "It's silly, but sometimes I like showing off to curious people, haha.". He seems to get a bit down when he hears the reluctance about that parent, simply nodding.
Josuke Higashikata     Josuke blinks at the mention of fictional versions of them. "That would be weird, to find out I was a character in a manga or something, in some other world," he remarks. "I don't know what I'd do. There would be a whole world that knows everything about me! What I have for supper, my birthmark, what I'm afraid of... Wow. That would be weird!"

Though he also seems to understand something from the phrasing. "You actually change? Like... shapeshifting? That's not something I've ever seen a Stand do."
Alden      "Yeah, it was weird, at least it helped explain things with our tamers! since they knew a lot about us." he chuckles a bit, "At least... well, the stuff is as species, like having an anime made of your version of japan, rather than following you." he muses. He seems to stare at Josuke when he acts surprised at the idea of changing shapes, "But you saw me do that when we met?" he begins, before chuckling a bit, "Well, that is an ability common for all digimon, even if it comes easier for some than others." he explains. "If you want I can show you the other forms." he says, wagging his tail. "I change physically, yeah, it's not some kind of illusion or anything, I get different abilities too... some digimon change in really weird ways!"
Josuke Higashikata     "Tamers, huh?" Josuke rubs his chin. "I guess it would be easier to just point to a book and say 'you do it like this'. Since I guess that means someone had to train you." Pause. "Wow, that sounded bad. I'm sorry."

The reminder gets a blink. "Oh! Right, that. I wasn't sure what was going on there, actually..." he admits. "But it's like, actual shape-changing?" The offer to show him the other forms gets a nod. "Sure! I'm curious how this works."
Alden The small dog/lizard wearing a small fur on his head steps back, and calls over to someone that was until now, simply watching the exchange. A small catgirl!, ears and tail, the tiny girl moving closer, "Katze!, you know what to do!" he calls, gently handling her a handheld device, and what seems like a deck.

The shinki quickly moves away, and searches for a bright blue card, sliding it through a reader slot on the digimon's D-Arc. Meanwhile, Alden explains a bit, "At least in my case, I need help to do it, I used to be able to change on my own until... an incident." he mumbles, his tail wagging. There is a bright flash of light, longer lasting than that first change, and within, the sillouethe of the gabumon seems to shatter and reform into a much larger one!.

Alden seems to be going all out to show off, since the figure that appears, seems even taller than Josuke!. Covered head to toe in heavy, metal looking armor... or is it completely mechanical?. In any case, the armor is mostly blue, with a gold taking over the chestplate and 'hari spikes' behind his head. He keeps the wolf motive, with a wolf head, and long claws on his feet and his single hand. Weapon wise, he has several! a couple missle pods located on his left shoulder and the sides of both legs. legs. A heavy minigun seems to replace his left arm. On his right shoulder, a long, flat barrel, perhaps a gun of some sort, is pointing up right now, at 'rest', his right arm seeming normal, the clawed hand holdign a heavy looking glove/arm guard.

He tries to stand still and pose a bit, the metal muzzle somehow seeming to grin a bit, "What do you think?" he asks in a familiar, but yet different, deeper voice.
Josuke Higashikata     Josuke blinks at the tiny catgirl. "Huh? Where'd you come from?" And then Alden is changing form, right before his eyes! It's like a while ago, but seems more involved, even though Josuke can't see much beyond the flash of light. When it fades, though, he tilts his head back and blinks, his eyes going wide. "Whoooooa... kewl!" He has a rather odd verbal tic -- he's Japanese, yes, but rather than 'kakkoii' (a masculine way of saying 'cool') he says it 'kappyoi'.
Alden The small catgirl waves to Josuke, "I'm Katze, Alden's Maochao... I am a shinki! kind of like a robot perhaps?" she explains quickly, but otherwise out of the way to let Josuke gawk at Alden!. Alden won't deny he enjoys someone being impressed!, he even turns around and makes a show to lower the shoulder weapon to aim ahead, and spin the minigun. He even shoots at the air a couple times. "Yeah! I was quite surprised when I learned I would do this, but it is not that good at close combat, I need to use a weaker form for that... and learn how to fight properly still."
Josuke Higashikata     "Good to meet you, Katze!" Josuke replies, with a friendly smile. Alden's shooting at the air, and that grabs the teen's attention. The assessement of combat abilities gets a tilt of his head. "But I bet that's great for sniping long-range! Though... I should probably learn how to fight without my Stand, too. There might be a time I can't use it." He frowns a bit, remembering a certain incident...
Alden The metal digimon grins and nods, "Yeah, I am good at aiming like this, but I'd like to learn how to fight on close range too, can't always hope to have long range and be able to blow up things!" he says with a grin. "I mean, as cool as that is, it's not always possible."
Josuke Higashikata     "Yeah. Though I can usually just fix whatever I break, so it's not so big a deal in my case," Josuke replies evenly. "<Crazy Diamond> can do that too. It doesn't just punch things."
Alden Alden chuckles, "That sounds handy, wish I would fix things I break." he says, "That sounds like a really cool power."
