Kushiko There are many ways to get where an invitation from Ordis (at the behest of Kushiko) bids those to come. And the invitations themselves arrive in varying different ways, but they all amount to the same thing: the fact that it's the season, and in this season there's ripe opportunities and moods for snowball fights!

Some people would probably know why she wanted the relief after all's said and done, but that goes unstated. For the Solstice, for 'Tennobaum' if one digs around any, Christmas, any number of worldly, multiversal holidays, either way it's for that festive notion of the holidays as the year draws to a close.

For some, it's simply arriving at a very sleek space station, and being guided to an area with a floating glyph, an image to place one's hand against. For others, it's simply arriving there, but the area itself is a mishmash of terrain--some that looks multiversal, some that looks relatively close to the way most places look like here in the Origin System; from space stations to spaceships and more.

One thing's pretty universal however: there's snow! Flurries everywhere, and while it's certainly chilly, it's not so much as to be /painfully/ cold. Snowdrifts abound, and everyone finds themselves given a single little disc that has a faintly glowing diode at the center. From this, they can easily create a snowball to throw at someone.

Or at the least, make use of their powers and abilities in a particularly wintry fashion.

After all, this is a snowball fight as /Tenno/ do it. Those with a melee inclination would find the discs impart a /feeling/, and one of those feelings is the instinctive knowledge to be able to make a scythe that is more candy cane than most, a spearamint scythe. That is, of course, should they want to!

So where is the Tenno in the midst of all this? She's practicing! There's Kushiko, of course, but there's another Tenno spiralling through the air, their Frost Warframe helping to generate some of the snowfall, and give targets--though he also appears to be responsible for a snowman or two that are wrapped with curious scarves as Kushiko--guiding her Nova Warframe about and sending crazy little volleys of snowballs like they were throwing stars to draw a temporary pattern against a wall before the snow slides off.
Nozomi Houken     Oh, this is gonna be... this is gonna be /something/.

Nozomi Houken is looking more and more worried by the moment, staring at the disc she's been handed. "A-ah..." She's got approximately zero clue what she's gonna do with it. And apparently it helps people use their powers with snow? Or... something? She didn't really understand the explanation. But that's to be expected. Poor girl's never had the best head for all the more esoteric tech or magic.

Meanwhile, Taiga is digging in the snow. Diggy diggy snow. Puffs and plumes of it rise up into the air, forming a pile next to a deepening trench that... wait, is he building an actual fortified trench?
Gaonoir "Gaaah, Erika stoppit!" Comes the protests from the shadowy digi-dog as he fusses with his Tamer tying a scarf around his neck. "I already have a fur coat, thank you very much!"
"You can at least look the part, and you already have gloves on~" She leans a bit closer and lowers her voice. "Would you rather I get you the swea--"
She's promptly muffled by one said gloved paw clamping down over her mouth and Gaonoir hissing softly at her. "Don't. You. Dare." He'll endure the red and green christmas themed scarf instead.
"That's what I thought~" The gal replies cheerfully as she stands up, brushing off her own winter coat a bit. "I know the Admiral appreciates all your hard work but you need to do more activities than battling Abyssals. This is kinda fighting, so you should be able to at least have some fun. And it's traditional for the season~"
Gaonoir just huffs, folding his arms and doing his best to retain his usual gruffy look despite the bright colors. "Whatever." Even if Erika is correct, he's not going to satisfy her by acknowledging it.
Kotone Yamakawa Snowballs and an invitation form Ordis, she'd half expected an update about the trials but nope it was for of all things a snowball fight it didn't take too long for her to get there aty the space station. It was pretty slick all things considered as she would follow the glyphs to reach juist where this snowball fight. She paused at the disc and thought about the technology to make a toy like this, it just drove home how advanced the Origin system was even with the Orakin gone.

"So beware the school of the Frozen North! You will drown upon my snowballs!"

She looks to Erika and Gaonoir for a moment laughing a little bit.

"Oh come on your spoil sport you should have some fun."
Gaonoir Erika giggles at Kotone as she picks the disc back up. "Oh, let him have his moment. Got to keep up his 'image' and whatnot." She rolls her eyes a little but doesn't press the matter farther.

Gaonoir huffs, and holds out a gloved hand. "Just give me something to hit someone with." A snowball *plop* from the disc and into his hand. "Oh, well that's convenient."
Kushiko <"Well, hi everyone!"> Nova calls out as she spirals upward, a somersault at the apex so as to orient herself to land feet first, her energy-looking syandana (scarf!) flowing behind her as she slows her descent at the last moment to ensure she doesn't make a sickening crunch sound that isn't snow related.

A quick look and check on how many are actually here, and that makes the faceless frame nod. <"Free for all it'll be. You guys will probably notice something with the discs. Makes it easy to keep snowballs and they work a lot like our kunai here."> And then she demonstrates the other part--swapping from those snowballs in one hand, to what can only be described as a giant snowy candy cane. The Frost that's here launches himself from where he's at, and a feminine voice that's a little more mature is heard, <"Can't I show them how this works?"> the voice practically whines. Nova just shakes her head. <"No, I won earlier, that's why I get to!"> Ahem. <"You should feel the disc letting you know if you want this, you can use it. This, however, is what happens if you get hit enough times by snow--or hard enough by a lot of it, or this.">

Frost steadies him--her?--self for what comes next: Nova literally spinning and backhanding her with the cane, a trail of snowflakes following and its an explosion of snow as the 'scythe' breaks apart--then reforms again as she follows it up again with another swing--overhanded and onto the toppled Frost.

...who promptly seems to explode in a shower of snow. A few seconds--literally about five, he-she-it reappears at another point--a little further away on a scaffold of a ship part of this 'arena' of snow, waving.

<"Hope that gives you all a good idea of the fun we have in store here."> she cheerfully remarks. <"Even if you're not using the Solstice Spheres from the discs you've all been given, it'll help keep track of how many times you've been hit, and 'reset' you for a few seconds, if you get hit enough, while marking down points for whenever you score.">

A brief pause as she looks over at Gaonoir and Erika, as well as Nozomi and Taiga. <"Would, uh, you like to be counted as one? Or maybe this'll be a team effort..."> One can hear the  as she ponders how to deal with this.
Nozomi Houken     Blink. Be counted as one? "U-um... I... Taiga?" Nozomi defers to the robotiger, who pops out from digging his impromptu trench to stare over the berm at Nova. With a small pile of snow on his head. "We will be counted as one unit. I am unable to throw snowballs. Nozomi's physical attributes without my mobility assistance are woefully inadequate against superhuman opponents." To be honest, she is probably not going to do all that well regardless. But she wants to try, at least! Hey look, she figured out how to use the disc and summon a snowball.
Asterios There is a colossal mound of snow just sort of crouched in the corner of the snowy battlefield.

Well.

It /looks/ like a big pile of snow. It's large, fluffy and definitely white, but... Why is it moving?

It's moving... because it is not, in fact, snow.

The pile of white stuff explodes into a great big /cloud/ of white stuff. A curtain of ice crystals glitter as they drift through the air, behind which can be seen...

Well. That certainly is a big man.

"Aa!" Asterios cheers, there is still a pile of snow on his head. He is also apparently... Bare-chested and utterly unprepared for the cold, except for a festive scarf tied around his unnecessarily bushy mane. "Cold! Crunchy! Gwahahahaha!"

Beat.

"I am here to... Throw... balls?"
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "See there we go."

She'll look to Nova and be very glad that this is just for fun given what Nova can do? Yes she stops thinking about that but she looks to Erika and Gaonoir for a moment. "So you done anything with your rooms at teh fleet base? I'm thinking of more formally moving in there."

She grins at teh Tenno though darker thoughts are gone it's time for snow antics. She kidna stares at the Candy Cane for a moment.

"Okay that is ... new."

She pauses at the explosion and gets the idea now this may be the same technology from the Trial Arenas.

She grins a bit.

"Well now this could be a load of fun." She'll looks to the big bull man.

"Yes like this."

she'll make a snowball and lob it at Asterios lazily. This could end up being bad for her...
Gaonoir "Oh look!" Erika points with the sort of excitement one might expect from a nerd seeing fancy technology work as one frame poofs into large amounts of snowflakes to respawn. "Ludacrious Gibs, Winter Edition!" She's giggling with amusement, while Gaonoir just rolls his eyes at the nerd humor.

"Yeah, we typically work as one anyways," the shadowpup replies, mirroring Tiaga's sentiment. While lazily tossing the snowball in one hand. "Scoring, huh?" Now finally there is a small smirk in his expression. "Shall we test it out?" he quips, before whipping the ball of snow at Nova. Lets see if those strong punching arms are as good for throwing.
Kushiko DISTRACTIONS!

<"Well the candidates for what we could use for melee for people who don't have it are pretty slim, so..."> Solstice Scythe, Spearmint Scythe, however you wanna call it, it's pretty amusing.

That said, Nova is mildly distracted, given Asterios' arrival, the terribly amusing way Taiga was rising out of the snowfort, before getting a proper /paff/ right to the face.

Somewhere, Gaonoir/Erika's score went up by '1' since that was a practical headshot, sending her right down to her back with an explosion of snow.

            THE GAME IS ON.
Nozomi Houken     Oh. Oh dear it's Asterios. He is still very huge. And-

    Paff. There goes Nova.

Taiga immediately leans over and tugs Nozomi down by the back of her jacket. Safety! ...until someone decides to walk around their defensive berm. Then they're hosed and will need to move. But UNTIL then, she can sit there safely, and draw out her first couple snowballs from the disc. There, see? She's got the hang of it.

Up Nozomi pops, reaching back with one arm and... letting her snowball go entirely too late. It fwumps to the ground uselessly. Oops.

Take two! The mousy girl picks up her second snow ball and hurls it... well, in Kotone's general direction! It might actually stand a chance of hitting. Barely.
Gaonoir SPLAT! HEADSHOT!

"Okay I might be able to get into thi--ack!" Gaonoir's reply is cut off as Erika grabs the scarf she put on him and uses it much like a leash to yank him behind a snowbank. He grumbles and fusses with the scarf to get it a little lose again. "Is -that- why you put this thing on me?"

"It was convenient to grab," Erika replies, shrugging a little but her winter coat is heavy enough to conceal part of the gesture. "Before someone retaliated." She squats down and plunks at the disc to get more snowballs.
Kushiko Given the free for all quality of the snowday showdown that's rapidly unfolding, it should serve as no surprise to anyone that once Nova-Kushiko's had a chance to 'respawn' as it were, she's quickly bounding along the upper parts of the 'arena' as it were, the technorganic frame laying out an absolutely heinous amount of snowballs into Gaonoir's general direction.

Not so much 'revenge' as retaliation! We swear.

That said, it's pretty straightforward to get snowballs from the disc, or from the nearby area. It's entirely plausible forts are going to be /great/ versus grounded snowfoes, but the Warframe's tendency to practically stay airborne through her parkour and the higher up surfaces may make it...

...un-Tenno-able.
Asterios *Paff*

A snowball has collided with the pile of snow on Asterios' head.

"Aa?" The colossal minotaur blinks as a little counter somewhere ticks up. He frowns severely. "Hmn. I. See. How it is."

A pulse of power surges through the area as the snow-capped mountainside crackles and rumbles. Mounds of snow flow upwards, downwards, every-which-way, assembling into a rat's nest of walls and fortifications. Asterios rises higher, higher, higher, as a tower of fluffy white stuff seems to materialize underneath him.

The minotaur has built his own snow fort. Apparently, in the Japanese style.

By which we mean it's also basically a maze.

"SNOWBALL, THROW." The minotaur rumbles as he scoops up a lump of his own snow-labyrinth and slings the big, fluffy sphere at... Kotone.

Because payback is delicious.
Gaonoir "Besides, no one is going to recover that qui--" Gaonoir started to stand up, only to yelp as a snowball splats him in the shoulder. And ducks back down before getting hit again as snowballs start splatting around their spot more like a hailstorm than anything else. "--I stand corrected," he grumps, shaking the snow off his arm.

"I won't say I told you so," Erika replies as she plops a few snowballs out of the disc.

"You kind of just did," Gaonoir retorts as he grabs a couple of the balls, then slowly peaks out of the snowbank shelter. "Pfff, showoffs," he snorts at the literal maze being raised by the minotaur.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone was moving to dodge Nozomi's snowball it does just graze her shoulder causing a distraction even as it explodes in a explosion of icey flakes.

"Better than I though...."

she is cut off. She was looking at Nozmi making ready ot counter attack. She did not understand the power of the person she had chucked a snowball at as she hit Asterios. She shortly finds out as suddenly he has his own fort and comes the massive snowball slams into her she's knocked off her feet, as she was off blance and she lets out a yelp.

She gets back up slowly and points to the castle.

"SEIGE THE CASTLE!"

She'll start rapid firing snowballs back and Nozmi is forgotton about, and has a clear shot to catch Kotone off guard.
Nozomi Houken     Ah, it... sort of worked. Kind of. It made contact! That's something. But oh my goodness, that's a very big fortress. Nozomi is not sure how wise it would be to try and scale that, but at the same time...

"...Taiga. I don't think I can hit Asterios from here."

The robot peers at her, then rumbles, and crouches down to allow her onto his back. Is he... amused? It's hard to tell. But he's off like a shot. In theory, if that big snowcastle can support Asterios, it can support the two of them! So he's gonna go climbing and darting from floor to floor. The way the Japanese castle's roof is staggered gives him /just/ enough room to jump upward.
Kushiko Oh wow, that's a /very/ creative application of powers. If that Frost-user could whistle, they certainly would. He--or she, whatever they are is definitely gonna keep watching, given his natural inclination to snowy shenanigans.

Nova-Kushiko on the other hand, isn't simply letting herself be limited to one target, least of all when that impressive snow fort--snow /maze/ rises. But instead of solely directing her attention there, she decides to introduce a little ... /chaos/ to the equation, launching herself off the side of one cliff and sailing her way towards Nozomi and Taiga's ascent...

And when she drops down, she sends a Worm Hole upward, so that when Taiga jumps with Nozomi in tow, they're about to get a LOT more air than either of them expected, and possibly put them into perfect position to run at the bull.

At least, before she starts fanning more snowballs at Gaonoir.
Asterios Of course it's a big fortress. It's a maze-castle fit for a minotaur! Sturdy floors are just one part of all that. Also part of being a maze-castle fit for a minotaur, HORRIBLE SNOW TRAPS.

Which is a little... hard, admittedly. You can't exactly put a bunch of poison dart traps in the ceiling or anything-- that wouldn't do well with the winter theme at all! But that's fine, because there /are/ still traps strewn all around.

Like false snow floors that lead to chutes which send invaders sliding right back to where they started. Or the pit traps that are filled with even more snow. Or the candycane tripwires that trigger... snowball throwers?? How devious, this Minotaur's trapmaking skills...!

But while Asterios protects himself against Kotone with his castle's defenses, Taiga is instead launched straight into the sky...!

But where she and Taiga now have a straight shot at the minotaur, so too does Asterios have a clear line of sight to them! And thus comes the /snowball barrage./
Nozomi Houken     It is a very, very rare day when Taiga is utterly taken by surprise. It's not the first time he's seen Nova's portals in action, but it's the first time she's sprung one on him so unexpectedly. It results in a brief moment of flailing and whirling, during which Nozomi hangs on for dear life; he just manages to reorient himself in time for-

    Oh, hello, Asterios.

PAFF PAFF PAFF PAFF PAFF PAFF PAFF-

It takes a few seconds before the duo respawn elsewhere in the arena. In the grand tradition of all cats, Taiga acts as if nothing just happened. Nozomi doesn't know whether to look embarrassed or alarmed. "We should try again," the robotiger observes. And then he's moving. TAKE TWO!
Gaonoir They've got snowballs, but they've got to get close enough to the minotaur (and others) to also use them. "Com'n, lets go." Gaonoir motions for his Tamer to follow, and sprints from behind their shelter towards the maze with Erika following. With Kushiko occupied with something else..

Or not. "Evasive maneuver!" Gaonoir zigs and zags to avoid being an easy target in the barrage of snowballs. Erika is... unsurprisingly less apt at it, just covering her head with her arms as she tries to keep up, squeaking as snowballs come really -really- close. This time it's Gaonoir's turn to grab her and yank out of the way. "I was gonna find the proper way in but--" He yoinks her towards the wall of the maze and winds back with the other arm.

"GAO PAUNCH!"

And makes his own hole in the wall, tugging Erika in after him. Nothing says they can't also use the maze for their own cover.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa own asault is only adding to the walls but she is not under heavy fire from anyone els at the moment. She fires more but they impact into the wall and she'll be attemping to get in now a she spints with cyborg speed to get to teh waall and try to find an entrance. Since this is in play, she's not going to say crash through walls but she is laughing. Wait there are snowball thtrowers which she ends up falling prey to once she ends up getting inside and then the barrage. There is a Kotone there, now there is a snow woman in the shape of Kotone as the barrage settles.
Kushiko Hmm. Decisions decisions--do they go after Asterios directly, continue trying to rack up points with ambushes and the like on Gaonoir, or just let the fickle whims of fate decide?

Given the points that've been racked up so far, the Tenno decides to use her portal-making abilities to, once she's landed on a higher nearby surface, to send herself up! Though since she's far more ready for it, the moment she's up high enough to be on a sight line with the minotaur, she's already flinging a snowball out.

And then immediately 'rolling' through the air to send her quickly out of that position and just /keep moving/. That's one way to try and deal. Hit and run!

After all, Nozomi and Taiga should be back soon enough to keep things interesting.
Asterios Hm, what is this? What is this now!? Not just a double-teaming, but a triple-teaming!? Is that fair? Is it fair that Nozomi and this strange technocyte ninja could just jump /over/ Asterios' maze!? Is it fair that Asterios could summon a maze out of nowhere? Probably not. But he is a minotaur, he has no idea what a 'fair' snowball fight looks like. One thing he does know is that SNOW IS COLD.

Also, his hands make gigantic snowballs.

Unfortunately, he is also a /gigantic target./ The Space Ninja's reflexes send a sphere of slush and ice sailing right into... A snow wall!! The Minotaur grunts, having ducked quickly behind one of his fortifications just in time to avoid being warped somewhere /places unknown./

Besides, he can't exactly disappear into a puff of snowflakes before he can tussle with Taiga!
Nozomi Houken     Fwump puff scamperscamper fwump scamper fwump puff scamper scamper- boy howdy Taiga is moving now. If anything, he's scaling the snow fortress faster than he did before (not including the sudden portal). And it's a wild ride for Nozomi, but the end result is that he can get himself right up along the snow fortress and /leap/ right into the air - a leap that flings him right up into the air above Asterios.

Nozomi has a snowball ready. One, single, SMALL snowball. But to be fair, this time, she's got gravity on her side. All she has to do is throw downward.
Gaonoir After they are inside the maze Erika sets down the snowball disc and pulls out, of all things, her tablet. This gets a groan and a roll of the eyes out of Gaonoir. "Do you have to turn everything geeky?"

"Do you want to not come in last place?" Erika replies.

"... Fine. What geekiness can you geek to our advantage."

"That Nova frame has the right idea with area saturation, but I think we can do one better." Erika diagrams something out, then shows it to Gaonoir.

"That...." The shadowpup picks up the disc. "Is actually a good idea." He takes the scarf off, then ties it around his waist and tucks the disc into it for easy reach. "Give me a boost." Erika cups her hands, and when he hops onto them with a foot thrusts him upward. The launch isn't quite enough to get to the top of the maze, but it's enough to allow him to kick-jump off one wall to get on top of another, then leap into the air. Sets the disc to generate a lot of snowballs really fast as he does, then curls into a ball and starts spinning really fast with his Rolling Counter move. In a moment his form actually looks white instead of dark blue-grey from the motion blurr.

And then snowballs are being flung EVERYWHERE. Not very accurately, but we're going for sheer volume here, scattering randomly all over the place thanks to the vantage point. Everyone seems to have the same 'spam snow from the air' idea now.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa burst free of the snow finally and moves to try and leap over the walls but this is when things get crazy here come she will join in the assult wioth a large snowball of her own, she thtows it for the biggest target but also then starts to thow a few smaller ones but at the apex of her jump she's caught in Gaonoir's assault and goes crahing into the snowly ground, it's a good thing she's a cyborg to be honest, or it could be pretty bad.
Gaonoir And in a true demonstration of quality versus quanity, it's one of those single snowballs that gets through the proverbial blizzard and smacks Gaonoir out of his snowball slinging spiral. He drops back down, bounces off a wall, and lands right on top of Erika to flatten both of them to the ground.

Though to be fair Erika is laughing, because this is part of the fun of snowball fights. "It's a good thing you're not heavy!"

"You mean it's a good thing I didn't evolve to -climb- up and do that," Gaonoir retorts. "Since we're a team."

He sits up, only to use a hand to push Erika's face back into the snow. "does this count as hitting myself?"
Kushiko Well, shoot. That's awfully vexing, awfully vexing indeed.

For what it's worth, Kushiko's being awfully pragmatic about targeting people. People move after all, and sometimes if one can herd and box one in with other balls of the snowy persuasion, it can be easier to hit.

Or at least get people off their game!

Which is precisely what she's doing. She uses another wormhole to *voip* her way to the top of the maze, the wall itself, sending a half-dozen snowballs upward--not so much *at* Taiga and Nozomi but into that general vicinity wherein they will inevitably fall before she swaps to her scythe of a cane.

Because she has to deal with the sudden Erika-direct snowstorm--becoming an elegant dancer of sorts and using her scythe to smash into the snowballs, to sometimes bat if she can, and basically forced to devote a LOT of her energy and resources solely to the art of avoidance and deflection! ... which could get pretty funny and introduce a wonderfully chaotic element of snowflurry to those that still stand.
Asterios Vexing indeed! That is the nature of the Snowy Labyrinth. There are walls everywhere, traps even /more/ everywhere, and generally it's all a great big hazard all around, even without taking into account the people darting around in it...!

MEANWHILE, Taiga is moving at top speed! It's almost as if the giant mechanotiger somehow had his pride wounded. Maybe it had to do with how much flailing about he was doing when he got wormhole'd into the sky. One way or another though, the big cat doesn't take all that much time to scamper up and over the minotaur's fortifications...!

The Minotaur moos(!?) in surprise as the robocatte explodes into the sky with a burst of diamond dust. He winds up a throw, and fires...!

As a snowball splats right in between his eyes. The Servant dissolves in a burst of snowflakes, and reappears...

...

........?

There is a portion of the maze that is sort of... vibrating.

Oh no, did he get... WALL-CLIPPED!?
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone has slamec into the gorund she's been having fun but at this point she's been ratteld roung enough and she's goign to admit defeat as she too burst into a cloud of snowflakws and wakes up elsewhere in the arena, she has a good laugh but she knows when she was beat, honestly she /needed/ something like this given the month she'd had and is thankful Ordis and Kushiko thought to invite her.
Kushiko It's really tempting, but Kushiko must absolutely resist the notion of using her vast, crazy destructive powers against the snow maze! Because, you know, that would be against the rules. A wormhole or two is one thing but geez.

Still, as the cyborg Kotone falls, one feels an ending is coming.

Nonetheless, amidst the snow storm, Frost calls out in their Void-diffuse voice, <"Yeah you should really not be into self-harm like that, it's not healthy!"> Such words provoke a giggle from Kushiko herself, who swings through the last of the snowflurry itself, though there's more than a few bits of snow clinging to the technorganic frame's armor shell.

With Asterios' disappearence, she's quickly on the move--momentarily pivoting away and downward seeing as a stuck-in-wall Asterios is technically a more distressing option versus Taiga and Nozomi (for the moment) and well. She does get an idea. It's a terrible idea, but it's an idea nonetheless, using a bit of bizarre Void physics regarding her antimatter to gather together... well.

A Snowmatter Drop. Which she intensifies with yet more snow pumped into it and sends it careening towards the wall, and subsequently the maze itself as a whole. Which... should be explosively snowy for all.

Totally not the worst idea anyone's ever had, something that the Frost Warframe's user practically shouts, <"WAIT YOU CRAZY--!!">
Gaonoir By this point Gaonoir and Erika are just rolling around in the snow themselves play-wrestling. But that's okay, Gaonoir is actually enjoying himself now.

Until they both get that weird 'impending doom' feeling and look up. Just in time to see the avalanche of the Snowmatter Drop crashing over/through walls and into the maze.

Followed by almost comical shocked expressions as the two cling to each other as the snow flow sweeps over them. With enough snow there's no difference in the snowflake *poof* to be seen.

Both respawn, just to collapse against each other. "Okay, I think I'm funned out."
"Well, it's like they say."
"Which means you don't need t--"
"There's no business like SNOW business!"

Gaonoir just slaps a gloved paw over his face in exasperation while Erika cackles at her own joke.
Asterios The Minotaur In The Wall is paradoxically less creepy while also being significantly more immediately dangerous than the alternative. Sure, it's not lounging all over your furniture and tipping your carefully crafted Ayatan golems. But! He's still a ten-foot-tall behemoth that just abruptly replaced a major support beam to the snow-castle everyone is currently fighting in and around.

And then Nova decides to make the situation even worse.

The Snowmatter Drop absorbs enough snow to turn into some kind of bizarre, swirling snow-globe of a neutron star. It makes contact with the wall. Everything explodes! Snow goes everywhere! A passing Grineer targeting drone is abruptly evaporated in a violent shockwave of snow!

And there, standing in the aftermath, there is...

...There's just snow everywhere. It's all a giant pile. There's no rhyme or reason to it at all. Such carnage, this is the true power of the void...!

...

......

And then Asterios abruptly shunts out from one face of the snow-pile, inexplicably displacing absolutely none of it as he walks out to observe the carnage.

"...Aa," Asterios says, "Big... boom."
