Carna     Tomoe had that dream the night before. In fact, she has been having it for several nights, though the woman only appeared for the first time last night. But now, this time, something is immediately noticeable as different. For one, there are no dragons. There are some sweeping grassy planes, hills, and mountains all around. The terrain looks a lot like Ireland or Scotland or something. One of those places. They're basically the same, right? Anyway, the wind sends ripples through the grass, the smell of nature is on the air, and a low mist creeps over the lowlands, masking them in a sea of fog, even as the sun shines upon the highlands where Tomoe stands.

However, the woman from the dream is here. She is much more identifiable now, as her armor is the same as that which Tomoe has worn to the Halloween party in the past of Lumiere two years in a row now. She looks quite different from Tomoe in it, however. Long red hair, bright green eyes, tall, broad of shoulder, with clear muscle even through her armor, but graceful like an Olympic athlete rather than a body builder.

"My name is Adair. I am a Dragon Knight." she introduces herself. Even though this is a dream, it feels completely real. Every sensation, more real than any VRMMO. Almost more real than reality itself.
Tomoe Tomoe awakens from a dream about dragons, from dragons being consumed by the worst nature of human kind. If a dragon was a simple apex predator that rampaged that would be one thing. If it was one with a mine of it's own like Rhaps or the infamous Thionxial of yester year? They would need to be judged on right? She had that dream on her mind for the last several nights, someone had wanted to talk to her but they vanished.

This time she's dreaming again this time it changes it looks a lot like the lands her own ancestors are form she she'll pause to enjoy it for a moment as she takes a deep breath but this time the woman is here.

"Wait that armour! I know you, your Adair the actual Dragon Knight! I am Tomoe the Iron Lily."

She smiles and seems to be friendly here. Things feel so real, really so very real she's never felt something like this.

"You said you needed to talk, given what I have to do at Halloween? I would be an jerk to not hear what you want of me."
Carna     Adair's eyes seem slightly unfocused as Tomoe speaks. But regain clarity after a moment. "Yes, as I said, my name is Adair, and I am a Dragon Knight. We are the ones who aspired to be like the creatures of legend, long gone from Eternity before ever our order was founded. We molded our souls to fit those mythical beings as much as possible, to take on their traits, and their strengths. We always hoped to find a living one somewhere, but were never successful."

She looks out across the vast wilderness around them. "There is something you need to know. The dead that used to return to the Land of the Living when they reincarnated were made to drink from a vial of water taken from the river Lethe, which would make them forget everything. That way, when they were reborn, they would start over fresh. However, there is another pool of water in the Caverns of Hades. It contains waters that hold all human memory and knowledge, once guarded by a Titan named Mnemosyne."

Her eyes return to Tomoe. "I did something I should not have. I stole waters from that pool, and mixed them with the waters of Lethe, and then gave them to my sister, so that when she came back to Lumiere each time, she would retain some vestige of memory and recognize who I was." She looks away again. "Such a thing was entirely forbidden. But now, the pool of Mnemosyne is being sought by another. If they possess it, then there will never again be a hope of recreating Lumiere as it once was. Nor will there ever again be a hope of resurrecting dragons."
Tomoe Tomoe notices as Adair's eyes become unfocused for a moment she wonders what that was but she listens to Adair for a long moment she seems to get something major is up and then it drops. The talk of the Lethe, she knows of a similar tale in the land of the dead.

"I will not condemn you for doing what you did, what done has been done, right? So you have someone who was coming for the pool and they want to make use of it. If they have it it will break things, even further?"

A horrible thoughht comes to mind and she dares to ask it as she listens to the last request about bringing the dragons back into the world.

"Who seeks the pool, though I fear I may know whome and what would need t be done to bring the dragons back into this world...?"

She does not know if this is a good idea but someone is asking for her help and trying to fix this broken world is why /she's/ here after all, right?
Carna     Adair shakes her head. "It has many agents. Many minions. And it reaches out its influence to recruit more even now. The imbalance of Powers has awoken many terrible forces, even as souls like yours have aligned with new paths to Powers. To name them all is impossible for me. I do not have that knowledge. I only know that dark beings are returning from their death-sleeps, or near to doing so. However, there is an opportunity here as well."

She steps closer to Tomoe, seeming to blur and shift in the process. "A Heroine once delved into the Abyss itself to retrieve the distilled essence of dragons from its depths. The Concept of dragons was slain by the Primordial Man, but they gave up a piece of themselves before they went to war, to create a weapon, in the hopes that those who survived them could learn how to adapt to and overcome his power."

She holds up a hand and a glowing crystal that shines from within in a brilliant cascade of colors and flitting shapes appears above her palm. "Constance Lorethal retrieved the Heart of Dragons from the Abyss. She put it somewhere for safe keeping, though I know not where. However, the only remaining dragon in Lumiere might be the vessel for it, or at least know its location. You can find that dragon at the very peak of Escher."

She closes her hand and the vision of the Heart of Dragons fades. "If you can bring it to Mnemosyne's pool, and submerge it in those waters, Lumiere will remember dragons again, and resurrect them fully. They might be able to provide the power needed to protect the pool and support you in stopping other evils as well."

Her gaze goes unfocused again, distant. "I can not linger here for much longer. I have already strayed too far from my post."
Tomoe Tomoe listens and thinks for a moment about the death of the dragons and what she saw in the dreams as she's given more information of jut what happened.

"So with that remaining bit the dragons could be return but I must ask. Why did man in ages past go to war with dragon kind?" She wants to know more but she does understand she has some ideas for a comment if there is still a remaining dragon then there is something she also tries to focus on the vision before it fades so she will not forget what it's looking like.

"I will do what I can on this and go if you can not stay longer...any help we can get to restore the world will be needed in the end."

She's just going to have to trust the Dragon Knight and the connection they seem to share, right? She's got to go forward there's no turning back in the end.

"I will seek out the heart and this final dragon, to make the world remember what they are."
Carna     Adair's distraction fades at Tomoe's question to be replaced with a scowl. "Humankind did not go to war with the dragons. Albion is no man. He is a monster. Be glad he is gone. He is the neglect, wrath, cruelty, selfishness, and apathy of Humanity. He is culled from the darkest potentials of our species. Humanity is not directly responsible for the death of all dragons, but we played a role, because the actions and sins of Albion are in every one of us. That potential to do evil where one could have done good, or to care only for one's self when one could care for others. He did not care about the existence of species, of gods, of worlds. He only sought to satisfy his own wanton desires."

She distorts and blurs again, more heavily. "I am sorry... I really... Must go..." The world now start wobbling and fading. "...The Heart of Dragons... It may be the only way... To recruit the allies you need... In sufficient numbers... To stop... His return..."

There is almost nothing left of the dream world or Adair when her faint voice says something about... Hands?
Tomoe Tomoe now seems to understand and she seems to be unhappy but Tomoe needs to know about what happened and she gets an idea about it. She now has a somewhat clearer path forward and she is going to do what she can. She smiles at the dragon knight as she starts to fade.
"The Heart of Dragons, find it, restore the idea of Dragons with it in the well."

She would wake up moments later as the last thing she hears in the dream is something about Hands?! In her quarters Tomoe snapped awake, the Salmander pushing herself out of bed shaking her head a bit, about the dream she walked to the window looking out at the alien moon and rock formations above the castle as the starts twinkled before her.

Her life really would be never simple would it?
