Starbound Flotilla     The Starbound Flotilla have many raiding operations, and many fly under the radar. Sadly, today's isn't, given the fantastical nature. Talon has only sparse connections in the sub-Saharan African regions due to the less than speedy development of megacorporations therein, and the consistent, less direct efforts of controlling Oasis operations in the northeast. That means that there's an open season of sorts on some of the infrastructure there.

That's where ecodome Seed-1 comes in; an anti-desertification testbed, the ecodome exists right on the borders of the Sahara and the grasslands to its south, surrounded by a cluster of structures that turns the place into a bustling town. Here, the main industry is work to maintain the ecodome itself, and more relevantly, to allow its powerful contents -- a well-cultivated internal jungle/forest/grassland diverse mixture, a mini-ecosystem unto itself -- to try to work their magic in spreading soil stability and deal, through technology, with matters of climate-change-induced desertification.

Which is why it's especially relevant that a full-size spaceship has breached a segment of the dome. Heavy, militarized, and industrial, it has blasted an opening around the side and wedged itself in, gunning down many of the security machines deployed against it, and depositing a number of black-armored Talon footsoldiers... As well as certain members of a Flotilla, whose sunrise-from-space logo can be seen on the ship.

This might disrupt those who are attuned to nature, or who might simply have been so fascinated by it that they were eager to visit. The distress call for medical assistance from technicians and workers there might draw other attention.
Welisse Having offered to help out, the masked newcomer of the Concord is taking to the frontlines. Her sword and dagger rest on her hips, as for now she is dealing with any immediate security personnel that come their way, and she's not eager to mess around. After instructing over radio that the others are to hold their breath she inhales for a moment.

Then she breathes out, and out comes a rapidly spreading cloud of purple mist. The toxic fumes aren't too dangerous, as long as they aren't being breathed in. If they are, well... this isn't your garden variety nerve gas, this is the kind of toxic fumes you get from burning something that is incredibly poisonous. The intent is simple, kill any who don't make their way out of here yesterday.
Mercy      Mercy had long been a fan of dome things doing interesting scientific things, no matter what relation they might have to her own base as being a very fine medic and surgeon. Therefore, she had been keeping a scientifical (so to say), eye on the Ecodomes, so when the call came out due to an emergency situation, well...

... there's no way the Guardian Angel (formerly) of Overwatch can say no to that. Donning the Valkyrie suit, it's not hard for Mercy to make her way over to the Dome, the angel-wings behind her allowing her to ascend the dome and directly enter from the impact point. This allows her to get to the greatest need first, even as she swings her staff around as she settles to the ground. Also, face it: Mercy as, well, Mercy, is a (in)famous sight, especially on her own planet.

Mercy almost immediately zeroes in on the injured technicians and others of the dome, and she walks forward, golden streams coming from the Cadaceus Staff as she activates the biotic healing stream.

"I am here to watch over you." She says soothingly.
Corona Arclite From a short distance away a pair of binoculars zoom in on the Ecodome, particularly the ship that has made a breech in the structure. "Yup, that's them all right."

This is one of those days you kind of hope won't come up, but at the same time you know it's eventually inevitable. It comes with the being properly paranoid about such things. But it was inevitable that the methods used by the Flotilla, friends in many regards, would still cross lines with her duties as part of an opposing organization.

"Hopefully they'll understand this ain't nuttin' personal." The binoculars are tossed into the back seat as Corona slips down through the rollcage and back into the drive's seat. Straightens out her hat and then guns thr throttle, plumes of steamy exhaust bellowing out the back as the steampunk buggy, looking even more anachronistic than usual against the world's futuristic motiff, roars off towards the dome complex.
Blossom Blossom is still getting used to how the portals between different worlds work, and today that lands her in a massive desert on an unknown planet. She feels fortunate that she can see a massive oasis ahead, but the strange dome around it gives her a bit of pause. "What is this, some sort of massive terrarium?" She wonders to herself for a moment, only to have her thoughts interrupted by the sight of the massive space ship blasting a hole in the dome and forcing it's way in.

She blinks for a moment in shock, having thus far never seen such a ship. However, as much as the ship's presence made her fur bristle with fear, she was not about to let that stop her from defending this strange yet beautiful biome within the desert from what she perceived as a threat.

Blossom quickly breaks into a run toward the dome, and once she nears it she begins looking for a way inside. Once she's in, she promtly makes her way toward the conflict and begins to assist Mercy in healing the injured. "Please be calm, allow the power of nature to mend your wounds."
Kotone Yamakawa So here we are with Talon again she was quick to respond to the attack and she was quick to respond. She still hadn't forgot what hat happend the last time when teh attack goies out. Such technology was also of interest to the nations of Kotone's world. While the Asian Miracle was able to purge the fallout the rest of the damage remained so here. She almost deploys in her ARMEd Suit powered armor but that might be over kill for the moment, she does cloak as she gts on site looking for any camera systems she can tap into to hopefully get a better idea of what's going into as she moves to move in.

She will get aidea of it's part of her extended family in the multivese. Had the starbounders not found her and hooked her up with the right people? Her story might have ended several years ago still one can correct a friend when they are in need of some correction and it's not personal.
Starbound Flotilla     The Talon men have donned heavy gasmasks at the orders of one of the Flotilla members, rendering them immune -- in a fragile way -- to the spread of purple mist. Even many of the security robots suffer malfunctions in its presence, falling to the ground and convulsing, sparking. The plants here don't immediately decay, but the ecosystem recoils at the introduction of such swampy aspects. If Blossom is so attuned, she might feel the recoiling of pain in a structure that otherwise felt like one lone point of healing here.

The streams of shining light from both Mercy and Blossom help keep the technicians and such alive, but the building toxins in them are still a crucial matter, and they're using their fresh burst of health to flee as fast as they can, and Talon isn't in a hurry to gun them down. Welisse has certainly made sure the group here won't be interfered with by them! These toxins may be more a crucial matter to Mercy herself, but if she can take out one of those Talon men who turn their guns up on her, she could easily grab one herself.

Oh right, yeah, the Talon men are slinging gunfire her way. They're a danger to the average footsoldier, but Mercy's aerial advantage gives her more than a leg up on them. Not so much on the gliding assailant who leaps from a port atop the structure, swinging off a grappling hook attached to the ceiling. Pavo, the bird-girl, wears a divine-aesthetic set of mesoamerican-style armor, with yellow runes and inscriptions lighting up on stylishly gleaming golden armor and robes. "The hell--! What's /that/ kind of tech! Ghh, doesn't matter! Don't you interfere in a god's work, healing this plague!" She calls out viciously, drawing a gleaming, thrumming powered cutlass to strike out in a stylish glide thrust towards Mercy!
Starbound Flotilla     Corona's incoming buggy is identified by the ship, and there's even a moment where the spinning turrets are held. It's not like her history with the Flotilla is anything negative, they just have their differences every so often and work together quite well when they don't. A familiar voice can be heard over the comms as Corona approaches... "Three seconds to turn back. No hard feelings. Two. One. Open fire."

Because there's no way Corona would take THAT, right? And the turrets of the back half of the craft lock in on her, firing pulse after pulse of heavy kinetic energy shot designed to blast the buggy straight onto its side! A port on the side has released a heavy tank, painted in bright white, bristling with turrets; no hard feelings, but Albert won't be holding back against Corona! He's rushing out to meet her buggy head-on, and face her just outside in a heavy-weapons showdown!
Starbound Flotilla     Blossom is going to experience something very strange: An encounter with nature she's sure to never forget. While she's certainly making good progress in terms of healing up the people here, she might not be prepared for the incoming... Tree? Some sort of small plantgirl! Biteblade, the humanoid plant, is in durasteel plating with elaborately carved wood and bone ornaments over glowing powered components that glow an intense green. "Fuzzy preeeeeyyyyy!" She shouts, leaping from one of the side ports of the ship, brandishing a pair of daggers as she does and trying to tackle Blossom!

"Woahwoah! Isss heal... magic?! Hey, noooo! Don't messs up Floran raid!" She yells, trying to land daggers-first on her with a strength-enhanced impact, before tumbling to one side, skidding to a stop, and taking a dangerous, savage "NOW WE FIGHT" kind of pose with her two gleaming powered daggers! "Isss Floran'sss prey here! Gotta sssteal tree bit! Don't messss with, or Floran hasss to ssstab!" The only thing more brutal to nature is nature itself, as evidenced by this tiny tribal and her dangerous energized knives.

Not that there's much hostility in her voice. Blossom is fuzzy and doesn't look excessively /civilized/; it's left Biteblade at least not particularly /angered/ or anything.
Welisse Welisse notices Mercy and Blossom swoop in and heal those she'd just spend some effort poisoning, this does not please her. She draws her sword and with her other hand conjures flames that cover the blade, flames which persist and linger along the slender weapon. With this done she approaches Blossom. The left hand retains lingering flame, just there, licks of flame coming from her fingers.

"I'd rather you stopped trying to help people I'm trying to kill, if you don't mind." The masked figure's voice is pleasant enough, it's a genuine request but it's clear that she does intend consequences for refusing to stop helping, "But if you insist, well I'm sure we all know where that leads." The pyromancer gives a quick glance of approval to Biteblade. "So let's not make this any more difficult than it has to be?
Starbound Flotilla     George is the one that Kotone can pick up. As wildcard as ever, one of Kotone's closest helpers is also the one Kotone spots trying to sneak past the main fight and get into the deeper areas. There's cameras mounted about, on the dome and in small tech stations inside, but most of them are centered around a central tree, a fairly large structure that looks like it's eagerly producing a series of extremely valuable chemicals through a sort of partial cyberization apparatus. The heavy, thick-glassed containers are full of gleaming green substance, no doubt some valuable material for improving ecosystem restoration!

George, in his futuristic combat EVA hardsuit that glows a gentle red at the flat faceplate, is trying to slip past the main exchanges and beeline straight towards it. Might be a good idea for Kotone to get to him before he backdoors an objective while everyone's at the front!
Mercy      Mercy physically moves to put herself between the technicians and that incoming poison. Without a mask, her own Valkyrie suit doesn't help protect her from the mist, but for the moment, the technicians are more important, up to the last second when she can, taking a big step and then planting her cadaceus staff, allowing her time to pull out a strange little gun from her hip - which proves to be a stun gun.

(Don't hurt people if you don't have too! Chibi Mercy suggests in a Overwatch training video.)

Once she has a target down, Mercy dives for that gas mask, quickly setting it up for herself. Once she's more confident in her ability to make a stance, she turns to face her assailant, bringing up the Cadaceus Staff to block the swing, but skidding a few feet back in the process.

"I can and will not! For it is the duty of every guardian angel to come where there are people in need!" Mercy, perhaps surprisingly, swings back, aiming for non-lethal blows, if not to outright just knock out the cutlass from the quite yellow young lady.
Corona Arclite If nothing else it's going to be a challenge, and Corona likes a challenge, and barks a bit of laughter in response. "Com'n, ya know that ain't gonna happen pardner. An' Ah reckon askin' ya the same is just as pointless." That understanding is squared away. "Maybe gets some drinks after if folks ain't too beat u -- Whoa!" Delapitated terrain is kicked up as Corona cranks hard on the wheel and the buggy skids sideways to avoid getting blasted to bits from the beginning by the ship turrets. It jostles a bit as it careens through the shots cascading around it.

Having to zigzag around artillery shots does give Albert time to get out his own big toy thought, the tank coming into view as the her buggy winds out of the range of fire. "Nuttin' personal. Duty is duty and all." There's a bit of fishtailing as Corona veers to orient on the new target, an audible hum and click-clacking of gears as the buggy's weaponry is readied.
Kotone Yamakawa George iroically taught her some imporitant things for her job with the Paladins, such as carry zip ties for when you are out of cuffs. However oday she's going see George going in deep. He always does things like that, she has an idea the strange goo is something with the Terraforming project here. Ot at least something she'd not want to get away she does see that George is ready for biohazards too with that she's going to swifly go after him. She cloaks and moves in. She will evade the various fights, she's got a few things ready to deal with George but she's not looking forward to this.

She will move to stalk him and attempt to pounce him from cloak while she can unleashing a charge from her build in eelware in an attempt to stun George.
Blossom Blossom has dealt with strange and aggressive 'tree people' before actually, though the 'Twisted Onces' who would often attack her home generally attacked with corrupting magic and thorns. This tree girl seemed to be a lot more physical in her attack.

She was still focused on healing when the plant girl appeared, but luckily as she made her lunge, Maxwell chirps to warn Blossom of danger and she takes notice just in time to leap out of the way and avoid being tackled. Backing away a bit as she tries to take in the developing situation, she turns to Welisse as she finds a flaming sword directed at her.

"Hmm, it seems we're at an impasse, as I'd prefer you stopped trying to kill these people." As Mercy seems occupied with her own sword wielding bird girl, that leaves her with plant girl and the girl with the flaming sword, what a combo.

Since they both were threating her, she decides to give them both a bit of a warning shot. Pulling a couple of acorns out of a pouch at her waist, she infuses them with magic and throws one each at Welisse and the plant girl. "How about you go home and leave this place and the nice people who tend to it, alone?"
Starbound Flotilla     Pavo and Mercy engage in heated combat, blade to staff. While Pavo has the advantage in terms of superhuman speed and strength in her strikes, Mercy obviously has her outpaced in moment-to-moment skill, landing several brutal strikes at points of minimal lethality. Joints in the armor are battered badly, leaving them sparking, crushed messes after enough of the exchange. But Pavo is far from willing to let that exchange go one way. When she strikes, she may get blocked or even parried, but she's going to strike with tremendous speed, using the strength-enhancing frame of her armor to deliver blows with enough force to release tremendous shockwaves from the impact!

"Damn you, I'm not about to /go away/. You have any idea what kind of divine works I can do with this tech this useful terraforming? Ghhh... I'll show you what I've done with the /smiting/ tech before you ever get to see it!!" She goes for a huge impact strike to stun, then dashes back! Taking a dramatic, sweeping posture, she summons a trio of brilliant, shining gold orbs, and then launches them dramatically in heavy kinetic strikes! And impact or no, they return for fresh firing just after, making them a stream of huge kinetic bolts that she hopes will be far less easy to parry with that staff! "The hell are you even getting out of this you damned 'angel'?! You're no kind of paid security I've ever seen...!"
Starbound Flotilla     "One bandit at twelve. Engaging. Fox three, closing." Albert's strict tone can be heard through the radio transmissions, and his tank takes off in a quick and stylish slide, brandishing a pair of heavy missile pods and firing a dense volley of swarming missiles trying to both pursue Corona's vehicle and cut her off! "Good tone, solid tally. Fox four." And a pair of heavy turrets blaze rapid-fire kinetic bolts meant to shred exposed machinery, this one far more direct towards Corona!

"Starbound One on-station. End of the ride. The field is mine, nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. Drive your hardest, Corona." He says, in that same strict, tactical tone. But his confidence in his militarized vehicle is clearly underestimating the buggy, if Corona's put her real engineering power into it.
Starbound Flotilla     Blossom manages to land an acorn /hard/ on Biteblade! The impact slams the little plantgirl hard, unexpectedly! A warning shot it may be, but it's still a heavy impact when it explodes! "Wauh! Ssseed bomb?! What...! Fuzzy prey isss like Greenfinger?!" Biteblade cries out, shedding fractured chunks of bone and densewood from her durasteel armor. "Guhhhh... Hit Floran hard... Grah! How?! Not a Greenfinger, not even a Floran!" She seems both confused and fascinated.

"Gonna be bad... Buh!! Alright!! Ash friend, you help! Floran not gonna fight weird fuzzy Greenfinger!" She calls out, in a rare display of actually /backing down/ from an enemy, with a sort of worry! Welisse may be on their own here, but that may be good for their first chance to show off their abilities.
Starbound Flotilla     George may be a little better at sneaking than the rest of the Flotilla, but not that much. And he's certainly no better at all when it comes to observation; it's Seft that has the real power when it comes to sensors. So when the cloaked Kotone comes pouncing down on him, he finds the stunning charge intense. It discharges hard enough to launch him back, with his gleaming EVA gear sparking with electricity that still arcs over it.

"Guh-- Hell!! Dammit!!" George swears, rolling away and trying to shake the stun off. He can't at all, seemingly having suffered some substantial loss of endurance. "Dammit, who's..." He mutters, unable to see through Kotone's cloak. "Cool, I love being haunted by ghosts. I wanted to grow up to be a ghostbuster, you know." He doesn't draw a proton pack emitter. He draws a heavy shotgun. "Nah nah nah nah nah nah... Nahnahnah nahnahnahnah..." He quietly sing-songs the ghostbusters theme as he moves more slowly towards the heavy tree. As he does... He's holding the shotgun with one hand, looking for shimmers and signs of Kotone. But as he does, he tosses little grenades off to his sides, leaving them in an erratic trail. Explosive proximity grenades, almost like mines! Something to trigger if Kotone steps near them, and they're more and more difficult to keep track of as he tosses more handfuls of them.
Mercy      Staff to blade, Mercy is thankful that her staff is made up of something far more sturdier (due to all the mechanical components) than wood. The speed and the strength - combined with the shockwaves - send her flying, using her wings just as much as to keep up with the girl in yellow as it is in order to keep herself from falling backwards on her ass. Lifting herself back to a full stop, Mercys' eyes go wide as there's now... flying orbs.

Great, now she's having Zenyatta flashbacks.

Dodging left and right, the wings take some direct hits, crippling her mobility somewhat, but the staff comes up as she moves through steps she's learned from someone, somewhere. Mercy is looking worse for the wear, but as Pavo watches, the little scrapes and burns are knitting themselves back together, without direct action from Mercy herself. Taking a stance, Mercy swings her staff at one of the orbs, much like a baseball, and aiming it stright back at Pavo.

"I'm not paid!" Mercy says with a laugh. "That is my job, however - to provide aid to those who need it, wherever they need it! For no one shall go on my watch, not until we meet again in Valhalla!"
Corona Arclite There was no denying the Flotilla had plenty of good tech and engineering to pair with Albert's militaristic approach. Right now, that approach was filling the air with a lot of projectiles. The closest thing the Boom Buggy has to that kind of saturation is the gun mounted on the back, and even for her trying to aim at a lot of missiles would be rediculous.

The pods on the sides of the vehicle's back end swivel around to point their nozzels forward, sending out gouts of steam as if to brake the vehicle. But the swivel continues downwards to an angle to whip up the dry dust and debris into the air around it, haphazarding a sort of flak smokescreen out of the environment whipping up around the vehicle as terrestrial grit mixes with the cloud of steam. Explosive swarms plunge into the whirling mess, followed by the kinetic blasts aimed more directly at it's position. Even the dusty cloud doesn't entirely block out the flash of explosions within and chunks of metal shrapnelling out of it.

The display of firepower wanes, and as the dust billows settle back down, there's a visible crater in the ground with bits of brass and copper scattered around. Looks like the end of tha--Wait, that's not merely a crater. It's the start of a tunnel, with bits of scrap scattered around to -look- like something blew up. Might take Albert a moment to realize that, and remember that the front of Corona's buggy has a -drill- mounted on it.

A drill that breaks through the ground on the other side of the tank with the rest of the vehicle following from below, and whopping "Yeeehah!" from Corona. She didn't get through scratch free, but the buggy is a vehicle she's modified with combat in mind, and the damaged was mostly to its exterior plating.

"Nothin' hurts like a li'l improvision!" As the buggy rocks back onto solid ground it's own weapon roars to life with the grinding of machinery and steam pumping the clockpunk minigun into spewing it's own firepower back at the tank.
Welisse "Then we cannot reconcile our differences." An acorn is underestimated, in what seems like a fatal mistake, the natural grenade lands square on Welisse's left shoulder, blowing it out of its socket and forcing it limp. The pyromancer briefly puts her blade away to get out a green glass flask filled with something that's glowing orange. She puts the flask to her mask, fitting the lip through the hole in her mask and drains some of its contents.

Quickly, with an orange glow her arm sets itself back into place, and doesn't look much worse for the wear. The flask, however is clearly a little emptier. She does not appear to have an infinite supply of this healing draught.

Having taken care of that problem, the pyromancer starts to close in. Not rushing in, she's quite comfortable at range herself and does not want to make more mistakes due to underestimating her opponent's attacks. So, as she closes in she uses her left hand to fling forth a ball of flame, aimed straight for Blossom.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is aware that George knows his stuff and if left to his own deives none of the local regular security could stop him. She ends up cloaked for a moment and then comes the shot gun. That is one of the best ways to deal with someone using Therm optic in close fighting. Kotone can't be seen but she can sitll be hit then comes the grnades and she's trying to avoid them. She will also see the mines line exploives too.

Think, think, she should have deployed a drone but she's got a few things of her own as she's foc e to dance about and is clipped by one of the shotgun blasts. Which does cause a shimmer of a female outline.

One it hurst two she's got to move and three she's throwing freezer foam grenadds at George that's some tech he should know every well when she does cut lose with it.
Blossom Blossom watches as both of her exploding acorns hit their marks. The tree girl seemed to grow confused and lose her will to continue fighting. 'Well, at least I got one of them to retreat.' Blossom thought to herself as she turned her full attention to the woman with the flaming sword. At first she wondered if Welisse was just keeping her distance to plan her next attack, but it wasn't long before it became clear that this woman had more means of attacking than the sword in her hand.

With a fireball tossed her way at fairly close range, Blossom leaps to avoid it, but still takes a glancing hit, singing her fur and burning the skin underneath a bit too. She winced in pain and let out a cry. "Ouchie!" Staying focused, she reaches into her pouch once more, pulling out a different seed, which this time she throws at the woman's feet. When it hits the ground, the seed explodes with a bright flash, releasing a cloud of pollen into the air. It works like a natural flash-bang grenade, stunning any within it's influence for a short time. If successful, she uses this chance to quickly run away and hide behind a nearby tree.
Starbound Flotilla     Pavo suffers the brunt of the baseball-like strike head-on! With Mercy's deft aiming, there's no doubt she's landing that hit, despite the agile bird-girl's efforts. She twists around, interposing her cutlass between the sphere and her body in a heavy two-handed grip. The blade itself shatters hard into shining, sparking pieces, leaving Pavo with two spheres and a shattered blade as she flies back and tumbles to her feet. She discards her magnorb controller bracer from one hand, and the shattered blade from the other, and draws a pair of fresh cutlasses... Dual-wielding!

"Ghhh... Hhhhhh... I won't be brought down by a /mortal/ in /cosplay/, healing or not." Pavo mutters with tension in her voice. "Take your healing and /get back home/!" She shouts, before her heavy mechanical wings spread wide and she points one of those cutlasses directly at Mercy. It ignites... With a rush of elemental light! "I'LL SMITE YOU WHERE YOU STAND, BLASPHEMER." Her voice takes on a delusional, imperious tone, and she boosts in hard with a fresh barrage of heavy strikes, now featuring a much more intense doubled output and greater use of short-range glide-dashing and heavy elemental variety, plus stylish aerial flips directly over Mercy! She's planning on outpacing the healing with sheer, overwhelming DPS, so to speak, though it leaves her in a vulnerable place.
Welisse Welisse finds herself having difficulty getting a read on what Blossom is doing, and the flash and pollen keep her stunned and blinded for long enough to give Blossom time to hide, and so the undead pyromancer loses track of her opponent. "Come out and fight me." She says with a clear displeasure with Blossom's behavior, and rather than pursue and search, and let herself be drawn into a potential ambush, she takes a more careful approach.

She takes another deep breath, and then she spreads another dose of deeply toxic fumes, circling around when she does it to ensure she spreads the foul poison in every direction, giving little care about who else may be caught within the lethal mist.
Starbound Flotilla     "No joy, no joy. Drop twelve, faded, no track." Albert mutters. "Opening. Scans." His tank goes from active evasion to a passive, cautious bit of motion, worried, like someone pacing to find an assassin. Until he gets a good look at that drill... And then suddenly, there she is! Corona, splitting the ground, and ambushing from behind. The tank's rear machinery, more vulnerable than the rest, takes a heavy rush of fire! Small flames are already gushing out of ports in the thing, but Albert's voice remains strict, albeit frustrated. "Grrrrgh! Rear reactives bent, bandit six tally, breaking three!"

He floors it, and the tread-pods keeping his tank active blaze a rush of sand behind them. He's trying to burn-out and basically do a donut around to re-orient on Corona's buggy and put his front armor between him and the buggy! He hopes Corona doesn't pull in too tight behind him, otherwise he won't be able to direct his main firepower in her direction...! But the pods, at least, turn and blaze away at her from any direction, regardless of her chosen point of maneuvering. But if it can get all the way around, he's not going to let her use that drill again if he can help it; he's going to try to simply SMASH one of the better-armored segments straight into it and knock it clean off! "Fellow miner. Should have expected. You won't get a hit like that again, Arclite."
Starbound Flotilla     Freezer foam. George knows grenades like that, and he leaps up fast enough to evade a solid chunk, though the foam snags one leg and solidifies over it hard because he's been slowed down so badly from that initial electrification. "Nope nope nope, we're busting tonight, I ain't 'fraid of no ghost." He calls out, tossing his own grenades. These... Are far different. Where they land, they cut huge gashes in the ground, dangerous crevices. While his invisible assailant might have command over sightlines, George has command over terrain, and he uses it to full effect, tearing the earth open to create unavoidable damage in the zone he saw that shimmer in!

And as he does, he blazes away with his shotgun, dumping dangerous munitions wherever there's disturbance he can see. The grenade may have been familiar, but... He's still George, and despite his jokes and silliness and faux-stupidity, he's still about as ruthless as ruthless gets when it comes to violence and lethality in this sort of combat. He's trying to take his foe out HARD with a massive burst of damage!
Blossom 'Damn, should have known she'd go back to spreading that mist.' Blossom thinks to herself as she ponders what to do next. She decides to try and stay out of sight as long as she can, but she isn't done fighting back. She tosses another magical exploding acorn at Welisse from behind the tree, then quickly uses her magic to become invisible for a moment while she leaps behind another tree about fifteen feet away from her previous spot.

Just before she moves. She taunts Welisse with "Why? It's so much more fun this way!" She says with a giggle. Unfortunately even in her new position, the poison mist is drifting way too close for comfort. Maxwell takes the initiative fortunately, and while clinging to one of Blossom's antlers, he flaps his wings in a flurry that would almost put a hummingbird to shame, creating a wind barrier which blows the mist away. Unfortunately, this is probably also going to make finding her new hiding spot somewhat trivial.
Welisse This time, Welisse knows what to expect from the acorn and she dashes to the side, the explosion singing her leg as she's just not quite fast enough to avoid it entirely. "If you insist to stay hiding, then we'll have to do it this way." Welisse answers as she spots the wind barrier protecting someone from her toxic mists. She doesn't approach, however.

Instead, she lowers her left halm and has her palm face upwards, flames licking across her fingers. Then, with a swift, sudden motion she raises her hand, and a pillar of flame rises from the ground, right where Maxwell has been kind enough to ward the fumes away.
Corona Arclite Corona does take a small bit of amusement in actually getting some annoyance, as little as it shows, out of Albert. But overall this is more of a compatition between two styles of engineering to her.

The tank is damaged, but proves to be more maneuverable that expected thanks to it's tread-pod design and not requiring the wider turn radius your standard tank would need to get back to facing her. "Not sure if Ah should be disappointed or not yer not that easy to slow down." She kicks the throttle back into gear to keep up with the tank and stay out of it's primary firing arc, but smoke that isn't a part of the design starts to plume out of the machine. Something must of taken a bit more of a hit than she initially anticipated. Although trying to follow the tank's movements the buggy is slowing down, leaving a trail of something dripping in it's wake. "Slag it awl!" Corona punchs one of the wavering gauges, but it's a leak she can't just bypass around. It won't take long for Albert to gain on her position.

With a grunt she grabs a lever and pulls, jettisoning the minigun and the rollcage. Followed by exhaust steam briefly hissing out of the undercarriage as it's vented from the ejector firing, tossing Corona into the air just as Albert slams the tank into the buggy to smash the drill assembly into uselessness as the vehicle skids away from the impact.

But then she lands on top of the tank, doing a pretty good 'superhero landing' as one hand hits the hull to help brace her landing. "Nawh nawh Albert," she drawls as she extends her hammer in the other hand, the head wreathing in plasmoid energy as the pulsarium core charges up, "Y'all should know Ah'm a hands on sorta girl."

Tail flicking to help keep her balance as she digs in with the spurs on her heels for support and takes a swing at the armored plates of the tank. How well can Albert deal with an enemy actually -on- his tank, that's the question!
Kotone Yamakawa She's not sure if he's serious or just doing his normal banter when it comes to George but wll he's laying down the fire power all sort of muntions and this time the genades. She knows how George fights but never has she seen him go this out and out when it comes to it. He'd normally slink off and problems just stopped for the old fleet of explorers and such. Now this is where Kotone just can't dodge erveyrthing and she's caught int he cross fire a blast catches her in the chest, while not killing her it one forces he out of cloek blows a good deal of damagf einto her ferma exposing interlal cuaing various arcs of elecal energy coming from damaged power lines.

Also a strange red blood like substnace that smell ouyl as hell she's sitll clunging a wepon she's down and yet? She's firing a shot at George there's nothing to say but Kotone's seriously messed up and looking damn inhuman right now fdrom all the damage, and she's able to function like this to fire back.
Blossom Blossom was thankful that her avian friend had saved them both from inhaling the poisonious mist, but she figured this also meant the jig was up. She peeks out from behind the tree to see what Welisse is doing, just in time to see her hand movements. Expecting more fire magic, she quickly moves out from behind the tree, but still the pillar of flame manages to roast her tail a bit along with the rest of her backside. With a yelp, she leaps further out from behind the tree before turning her gaze toward Welisse again with a frown.

"Fine, we'll do it your way then." She says as she throws another exploding acorn at Welisse, while otherwise keeping her distance and trying to avoid breathing in any of the mist.
Mercy      "Two things wrong with what you just said." Mercy remarks, activating what remains of her wings as she starts darting back and forth. "First, it's not cosplay. It's a armored suit. Secondly-- mortal! Ha!"

Mercy starts moving. She's not hyperspeed nor hypermobility, but the Valkyrie Suit, and her own tweaks to her physical biological system means that she's standing. Wiping at the back of her bleeding mouth with one hand after she takes a shot that sends her skidding backwards. However, there's...

There's pretty much a minor (ha) explosion right over there, right on one of the people that wasn't working with the bird-girl of yellow. Flicking a glance over at Kotone, Mercy's jaw tightens, til she flicks a look at Pavo, tilting her head slightly.

     "Until we meet again!"

Mercy is off like a streak of paint, zig-zagging in the air, because as Tracer can tell you, never teleport in a straight line. Once she gets closer to Kotone (not that she really needed too, but sometimes, standing in front of an ally is just as good as healing them.) She settles down in front of Kotone, offering her hand. "Don't worry - I'll help protect you!"

She activates the healing stream, the golden light unbroken and strong as it stretches from the top of her staff to Kotone, quickly healing her injuries. She is also standing between Kotone and the one that was attacking her, providing that secondary moment of cover as Mercy does what she does best...

.... support those fighting the good fight.
Welisse It turns out, Welisse is fast, and she's done with engaging at range. Pulling out a tiny bronze shield, barely big enough to protect her hand, she punches the acorn with it, letting it explode on the buckler. It still hurts, the energy is still being driven into her bones, but it's better than not having a shield there, and it allows her to cross the distance better than trying to dodge.

Once up close, she makes a point of demonstrating her weapon isn't just a fire delivery vehicle. She aims to make a series of quick stabs with the burning rapier, aiming for the tendons of the hands that have been throwing those acorns at her. At least the mist is starting to dissipate.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa has had things repair her body in the past, sure but often it was a slow crew. She wtches the tech angel of Mercy come in and do something. She watches in shock as her body starts to knit itself back together, power lines fuse back up, other things seal, her synth skin regrows and more of her self heals up the pain fade and she's slowly moving back on her feet.

"How... are you an angel?!"

She's not joking she's seriously shocked to see anything like that. She knew this world was advanced as her own if not more so in some areas but she's also got to deal with George she pays no mind to ahem the somewhat embrassing damage to her gear and clothing she's h appy to be in one piece as she'll make use of Mercy's aid to start trying to chase after George.

"Hey old man. There is a ghost in this shell."

She takes a shot at Geroge she's not aiming to kill but is aiming to take him down.
Blossom Welisse is indeed fast, but Blossom is no slouch herself. Once Welisse commits to her charge, Blossom nimbly leaps out of the way and quickly attempts to reposition herself so that she is behind Welisse. "I can see you're getting serious now. So I guess it's time I did the same!" She proclaims as she leaps into the air and yells "Natural Fury!" while sending several waves of raw nature magic at the woman, which would feel like waves of fire washing over you. Upon landing, she would swing her staff at the arm Welisse was using to hold her sword, attempting to disarm her. "Please stop this, now."
Welisse The waves of raw magic crash into Welisse, and she falls to the ground, a loud scream as she collapses under the natural fury, and in trying to dodge out of the way of Blossom's staff she doesn't find the strength to move properly and ends up making it worse, her arm breaks and she falls and hits her head. She takes a gasp of air before she stops breathing.

There's a moment when there lies a corpse on the ground, then a circle of flame burns out of her chest and spreads, circling around her and growing larger just long enough to cover her entirely. The flame is gone soon after, and leaves behind not a single trace of Welisse beyond the damage she has inflicted here.
Starbound Flotilla     Pavo has some mobility, but she doesn't have the sheer agility and power that Mercy has in the air... At least, not without a better piece of equipment, not without a proper vehicle. For now, though her wings go wide, she can't effectively pursue, and despite all her swearing and imperious aggression, she can only manage to fling a few more of those orbs Mercy's way, before it becomes more obvious that they need to go.

George had barely recognized Kotone after that, or hadn't even investigated his pursuer. Or, more relevantly, he hadn't been able to stumble over to her to fight her off before suddenly losing footing from his freeze-foamed leg, and stumbling, unable to get a solid shot on even the one providing cover for her. He pulls back a little, heading towards the big tree he's mainly after, trying to get a grip on one of those tremendous canisters with his Matter Manipulator... Before suddenly turning around at the sound of a much more familiar voice.

"Huh? Wh-- HURK!!" His whole body slams back, bouncing off the tree and then rolling away, clutching at crushed armor. "Ahhh, dammit, okay, I guess this is more of a public library ghostbusting than a hotel ghostbusting, fucking hell, okay! Dammit, alright, I'm fucking off!" Jokes aside, George appears to have taken a savvy assessment of the situation, and he circles around the group, leaping to grab Pavo.

"Pulling out!"
"And why in the hell should I--"
"She just brought that girl back from /near dead/, Pav'. We're pulling out."
"Floran isss ssstill watching fuzzy greenfinger!! Killed ash friend!!"
"Rrrrh... Fine, calling it. We're retreating. Get back to the ship."
"Damnation... Fine, but I'm going after her again soon, mark my words!"

Albert has been having some troubles of his own. While he may have dealt with the matter of the buggy, he can't deal with the matter of Corona, still a full-fledged threat, on his tank itself. She's ripping through and tearing off layers of armor! He halts abruptly to throw her off, but the spurs are dug in. He swings one of the turrets around but it's too easy for someone attentive to dodge. And with an open desert, he can't drive under something low to smash her off. Aside from... Yep, the ship itself. The ramp slams into the sand as he takes off for it, intending to leap through the opening off a dune and remove her from his roof by scraping it with the ship's cargo entrance, before she can rip her way right to the cockpit!

The other members of the Flotilla are similarly packing up and retreating, and they'll be yanking their ship out of the ecodome shortly, and blasting out of here before local air forces arrive. It's a full retreat on their part!
Blossom Blossom blinks in surprise as her attempt to disarm her opponent ends up making her fall and hit her head on the ground. Before she can even take a moment to wonder if her foe is dead or not, the circle of flame reduces her corpse to nothing, not even ash left behind. "Wow... I really wasn't trying to kill her, but that's one dramatic way to go..." She says with a frown, saddened that it had to come to this.

Her attention is now drawn to the other battles that were going on around her. It seems that the forces who were trying to invade the ecodome were leaving, and that was enough to put a smile back on her face. "Not sure who I just teamed up with here, but it looks like we won!" She comments to herself as she heads in the direction she saw the guards and engineers running, happy to see to healing anyone who might still be injured before she started trying to figure out how to get out of this crazy place.
Corona Arclite An attentive eye would notice that's all Corona is doing -- tearing off the armor. She just wants to disable the tank or pressure Albert into leaving, not blow the thing up. No telling what that would do to the Ecodome's complex. Or to Albert inside.

The turret swings towards her, only for Corona to switch her swing to catch the barrel with the hooked shape of the pick on the back of the Breaker and tug her spurs free to swing herself around it and land on top of the turret itself. "Com'n Al, that the best ya got to get one li'l ol' fox offa yer ba--"

That didn't get her off the tank but it did occupy her long enough for him to pull his leap off the dune. Whatever she's going to say is interrupted by her slamming into the hull of the ship as the tank scrapes the top of the hatch to get inside.

".... ow." Corona leans back a little. "This is why Ah wear a reinforced hat." Before dropping off the exterior of the ship and thumping in the sand below. Well, at least they're leaving.

Instead of bothering to get up right away Corona just fumbles her handheld from her belt and flicks it open. "Windrose?.. Yeah, bring out the utility truck. Gonna need it to drag the buggy back... No Ah can't just teleport it up to the ship. Too much power drain."
