Tomoe Haven was a castle in a strange part of the multiverse, it was on floating landmass which was spiralled up like a screw, the castle was somewhat populated now with people who had lived in Najourn and a few other attracted by the small adventuring hub, it had become. The sun was out, one could see the strange landscape from just about any vantage point given how the alien land was laid out.

On the top of one of the towers though was Tomoe laying back looking up at the sky, she wasn't thinking too much, however, there was a data pad beside her with all the notes on the Dark Lady Questline. She wanted to get this over with. She was just taking a break and also would from time to time look down to the town below.

the Castle it self-had some modern things one might catch sight of Solar panels here and there along with LED lights here and there which would come on at night. All and all a sleepy day in Haven
Leyanne Looking down from above at the right moment, one might see the mouse stepping out of the warpgate and looking around. She's in her red armour, but instead of the backpack, she's wearing a large carbon fibre wing, with a pair of gas turbine engines buried in the wing roots. She looks around, grinning at the architecture, before climbing the spiral until she's got around a hundred feet of drop below her. After making sure both jet engines are working, she swalks to the edge and... just launches herself off the edge. It takes her around thirty feet to properly adjust her attitude so she has control... another thirty to bring the nose down so there's air into the engines...

Meaning she skims barely above head height as she pulls up, blasting over the warpgate before starting to chase the spiral upwards, flying as close to the 'ground' as she can.
Staren     Staren comes out of the warpgate while Leyanne is headed up the helix, and makes his way towards Haven, riding a flying broom. When suddenly he hears jet engines and turns to see Leyanne dive out of the sky and speed past. The broom can't actually keep up with jet engines, though, so he can only watch her go.

Staren flies up to where Tomoe is hanging out. "She looks like she's having fun, huh?"
Tomoe Tomoe looks upon Leyanne for a moment she was not expecitng something like that she just stares for a moment at her, she's not quite sure who it is, as the fast moving form, is headinf right for the castle.

"Looks like it Staren, what has you out this way? I thought you had duties to the Concord?"
Leyanne Leyanne doesn't even notice Staren; he's not in her flight path, therefore he's not a navigational hazard and therefore he doesn't register on her consciousness. She swerves neatly around rocks, skimming as close as she can to them without ever actually hitting them. Before long she's doing around 300mph across the ground... fast enough that a crash would be nasty, and spectacular. Fast enough that it really doesn't take her long to reach the castle, landing around the corner from Tomoe and Staren. It's a neat, pull-up-and-cut-thrust touchdown, not that anyone can see it with a wall in the way.

What they will hear, however, is her loud "YEAH!" as she surfs the crest of the adrenaline wave. She has no idea she had an audience.
Silica     Silica is tending to some animals in the outer courtyard when Leyanne comes screaming in. The tamer manages to keep the animals from panicking, but when Tiny shows her face, she'll find a very cross looking Cait Sith staring at her from somewhere around waist height.
Staren     Staren blinks at Tomoe. "It's not like I gotta do busywork 24/7. Just thought I'd come and check on how your infrastructure is doing. The data could help with establishing similar settlements elsewhere in the Multiverse." His ears turn, followed by the rest of him, as Leyanne approaches... and he whistles as she lands, and leans over the tower's crenellations. "Nice one!" He smiles and claps. "So, what brings you here? Just had to try flying on a helix?"
Leyanne Leyanne looks over at Silica sheepishly. "Uh! Sorry, I wasn't... expecting anyone... sorry for spooking the animals!" She gives a sheepish grin and a wince. Then she looks up at Staren, waving with a grin. "Heyy, Staren! Yeah, Pretty much, I was bored, so I went to the warpgate and just... started visiting places until I found somewhere that looked cool to fly."

THe eight foot mouse fully shuts down her wingpack, the whistling engines dying away into silence. Another sheepish, apologetic grin is sent to Silica
Tomoe Tomoe watches as Leyanne finishes her landing and seems uite amused about it.

Well she's having fun. Oh I figured Priscilla had you working a lab when you were not out in the field. My bad." It's clear she's razzing Staren and little more than that. She thinks for a moment "Ya not bad landing welcome to Haven, keep clean and we won't have trouble." She grins again and gets up, the padd vanishes into her inventory. Her wings flare out and she flies down to join Silica and Leyanne.

"Welcome to Haven one of the only places in the multivese with a Sayain friendly buffet diner."
Staren     "Cool to fly." Staren echoes, looking up at the helical landmass and then back down to Leyanne. "I guess this is certainly that!"
Leyanne Leyanne smiles to Tomoe with a slight bow. "Thank you! Lovely-looking place, Haven is. And I really dig the landscape!" She giggles, swishing her tail. "Saiyan-friendly? What's that mean?"
Tomoe Tomoe says "They are a humanoid race who are infamous for how much they can eat. Ever see a cartoon where a character eats out a whole buffet? A Sayaion can actually /do/ that." She grins and also looks to Silica grinning at her long time friend.

"We kinda cleared out this castle and moved in to keep our main base not on our home world. As at the time it had little defence against people like us..."
Leyanne Leyanne listens, looking around "I dunno, I can put away quite a fair bit myself." she laughs, looking around. "Nice place. I love the access route. Defensible, but stylish, and easy to get up, if you know the way." A thoughtful pause. "And if someone's flying, they're easier to pick off. Good choice."
Staren     Staren nods at Tomoe's explanation. "Which makes it an excellent example for observing how such settlements might be established elsewhere in the future." He looks to Leyanne. "Many of the defenders would be flying too, I think."
Tomoe Tomoe laughs "It wasn't intention it was more hey no nations or faction claims here so we got a castle. That's bassically how it would go. I have no idea what I'm going to do long term about this, people just have started moving in so to speak..."
Leyanne Leyanne chuckles softly. "You've got your own little bit of turf. It's defensible, it's strong, it's home... you know that's about all you need to start a nation in a place like this. Just a little city-state, like." She chuckles.
Staren     Staren hehs. "I suppose. It's more of a small fort at the moment, but who knows? With a Multiverse of people, some might like the combination of surroundings, defensibility, easy access to the gate network, and high technology with elite defense. Looking at it that way, you can see why some of the Njorun refugees would come here..."
Leyanne Leyanne nods in agreement. "True." She looks thoughtful. "Poor guys. Would be good for 'em to have a place to call home."
Tomoe Tomoe says "That's kinda a scary thouhght I'm not sure any of us are fit to ruile a city-state." She does seem legitly concenred about it. "I barely am finishing post secondary at a monster hunting school!" She makes a face and takes a deep breath. "It's hard to turn people away i admit and I have been thinking about what happened with Lookshy but... I'm concerned about culture class. Though humm there's other regions of the spiral we're not using...."
Staren     Staren shrugs. "If it gets that big, you can keep the castle as a Gatecrashers facility and just let the other settlements on the helix put together their own government."
Leyanne Leyanne nods a little, thoughtfully. "Don't have to lead it, just defend it. Maybe... keep the castle as your space, as the Gatecrasher place and - yeah." She nods to Staren. "What he said. You know more about this side of stuff than me... I'd suck at running a city-state too. I'm one of nature's sergeants."
Tomoe Tomoe says "Those are some pretty good ideas. I'm not sure how well I'd do ruling a land you know? Given the mess with the Dark Lady and given what Kirito and I found? It's going to get even more messy I think...I think there's a raid boss waiting for us."
Leyanne Leyanne nods a little as she listens. "I hear you, I know I wouldn't be any good. Five, six people is about my limit, and even then it can get... tricky." She chuckles
Leyanne Leyanne seems to be getting angry at someone over the radio. Ends up just disconnecting
Tomoe Tomoe looks to her friend "Hey problems on the broadband?" She looks concenred to her friend "Come one lets hit up the buffet I'm sure after a stunt like you did you must be hungry."
Staren     Staren sighs. "Mitsu's being a jerk. She's... kind of troublesome to deal with, sometimes."
Leyanne Leyanne takes a deep breath and then nods. "She's going to get her nose broken." Leyanne says, with a sigh. "The R word is... it's touchy amongst Martians. For the longest time there were two rodent species on Mars. Our history says the rats betrayed the mice..." She sighs. "Logic says that may not be completely true, because history's written by the victors, and we drove them off Mars. I mean... not all rats are bad, but... y'know, there's a lot of... old anger and hate there."

She looks to Tomoe, her words sinking in. The mouse nods. "Yes! Let's." She chuckles. "Man, it's weird hearing your voice coming from... well... you. I think this is the first time we've met since Emblem."
Tomoe Tomoe says "That old Feddy runt? She's a mouthy as bad DPS that's to be sure." She look to Leyanne for a moment "I didn't know that, I'll ty to keep that in mind." Tomoe grins wildy at the comment about her voice. "Oh Leyanne I admit I have several masks I wear the quesiton is which is the mask and which is the face." She turns about for a moment to head in the direction of the buffet. "I get all about old anger, I get like that about the Laughing Coffin, a group of crazed killers from the death game SAO."
Staren     Staren gives Tomoe a concerned look when she expresses that she herself may not be certain which is the mask and which is the face. And then makes an angry growl at the mention of Laughing Coffin. "We should've hunted them down. Hunted them down and... had them rehabilitated. But nooo, the Union was afraid of overstepping some political boundary with Japan."
Leyanne Leyanne listens as she follows Tomoe, nodding a little. "It's the first time I've seen you not as... well, yourself, not Jeci." She sniffs. "Met a few guys like that. Need to make sure you know who you are - whoever that is - before you end up like..." She trails off. "End up in a bad place." She sniffs, nodding at the mention of Laughing Coffin. She frowns at the political trouble that went with it. "That's why I didn't join the Paladins. With the guys I'm with now, much less... worry about overstepping bounds."
Staren     Staren looks at Leyanne. "Process of elimination makes that one pretty easy to figure out. I don't have anything against the Watch, though, just August and A2. Yang and Yuna are good people, for instance. And Tomoyo if she's actually a member, never was sure."
Tomoe Tomoe says "But no the Union respected a soverieng state....and it's a mess a few of those types did get sorted out belive it or not." She looks to Leyanne for a moment. "No its rather fixed." She tilts her head a bit. "I turned down the Paladins offer too. The union's body hadn't even cooled when they tried to Jackel me." She looks for a moment she doesn't comment on Leyanne's friends, will until Staren does.

"August is a shit party memebr the sort that will get people killed running off screaming his own damn name. I get you Leyanne lets just say my odenoty and self is complficated."
Leyanne Leyanne snorts and nods. Almost unnoticeable on her armour, there's the symbol of the all-seeing eye, in dark colours that almost blend into the black section it's printed on. "Yeah, the Watch are a good bunch, mostly. Funds are kinda shit - I'm pretty much self-funded through the bike shop, sponsorship, and A Bad Idea - but their hearts are in the right place. Even August's. He just..." She frowns. "He's a wanker. I don't like him... respect him, and I respect that he sticks to his guns, but honestly he's a twat. I try and keep as far away from him as possible, honestly."
Staren     Staren nods. "I have to wonder, does /anyone/ in the Watch like August?" He shrugs. "But, perhaps we don't want to discuss politics... Weren't we getting some food?"
Tomoe Tomoe says "That's a dangerous question Staren." She'll move towards the entrace to the resturant which would have inside a bunch of old Union related proganda pictures of past clients and the like. She looks to Leyanne. "Ah, I get by on adventuring money, my SAO settlment and the money I made working for certain parties in the multiverse. Yamir and the Union paid pretty damn well."
Leyanne Leyanne sighs a little, nodding. "It did pay well. Most of what I bought the shop with was my Union wages - thrillseeking's only an expensive hobby if you wanna travel, and I had the World Tree to do stupid thigns on." She chuckles. "Good times, they were. Then everything went... to shit while I was back on Mars and I couldn't get back to the 'verse as a whole." She sniffs, swishing her tail. "Still, A Bad Idea and sponsorship pays well."
Leyanne Leyanne tucks into the buffet cheerfully, however her commlink interrupts her after only one serving. She listens to the message, grinning. "I need to go, there's a dude visiting Hoonah who can apparently sell me a gatling-type laser weapon of some kind." She says. "He's only in town for a few hours. I'll be back afterwards, but... this kinda deal doesn't come along very often and I really need to diversify my heavy gun armoury. Distinctly lacking in non-ballistics."

She picks up and starts to strap her wing on
Staren     Staren nods, himself somewhat distracted by the radio discussion going on. "Well, it was good seeing you! Let me know if I can help."
Leyanne Leyanne nods "Let me know of anyone selling interesting big guns at low prices!" She tells Staren. "Conventional or otherwise... I'm kinda a big-gun connisseur."
Tomoe Tomoe Says "Ah come back afte rI'll cover dinner for you if you like Lyeanne!" She grins now and looks to Staren for a moment "Oh you listening the comm I had it off I admit."
Staren     Staren gives Leyanne a sort of... 'Do you not know who you're talking to?' confused look. He opens his bag and pulls out, with a grunt of effort, what looks like a large-bore rifle, then lets it drop back in. "I'm also working on a type of anti-tank round that can be fired from a standard slugthrower -- but so far I can't get it smaller than about .44 caliber, so it won't go in most standard rifles yet."
Leyanne Leyanne chuckles "Staren, your work's a little bit out of my price-range. But that said, I'm definitely interested in seeing what you can do." She chuckles, finishing up strapping her wing on. "Let's talk turkey some time, yeah?" She grins, making her way from the castle and returning to the warp gate the fast way.
Staren     Staren repeats the look when she implies he only makes expensive guns, but nods at the invitation to talk 'turkey'. "See you around, Leyanne!" he waves.
