Anivia has yet to see the fabled 'Infinite Library' that she heard so many stories about. She was told this is where her old ally, Nasus from the Institute of War could be found... which was a good enough excuse for the Cryophoenix to visit the building. One of the Union's many, many resources that puts even the fabled Item Vault of the Institute of War to shame. Though she has lived countless of lifetimes, the Cryophoenix's never expected to witness such a thing... and yet, here she was.

Knowledge in the hands of any mere mortal could be dangerous enough; she has seen entire civilizations and species wiped out, based one the intelligence of just a few dangerous individuals. Any Champion who doesn't fear age, not just Anivia or Nasus, but Kayle and Morgana, or Karthus, Viktor, knowledge really IS power. They have all spent countless of hours in libraries like these... but this is certainly the most astonishing library that the Cryophoenix has ever seen.

Upon her arrival, Anivia quickly set foot into the Library, eyeing the countless of shelves, almost feeling giddy with anticipation; like a child in a Candy Store.

It's been eons since she felt this invigorated.

As she casually debates where to begin her new research, Anivia sticks nearby one of the large rivers that flow through the library... greatly enjoying that little detail. She'll have to research the architect himself! Perhaps after she catches up on the new Arcane abilities of the Multiverse? Or perhaps she should study their Technology first... Biology? Or it might be worth memorizing a few hundred maps of the most important areas of the Multiverse?

As she was lost in her thought, Anivia almost forgot why she came to the Great Library to begin with. Pausing next to the river however was causing small ice crystals to form on the very surface of the water and a slow cool breeze to slowly spread through the library halls that might be quite noticeable to those already in the Library.
Ahri     Since Ahri hadn't seen Nasus since he arrived in the Multiverse, she had decided to ask Anivia to assist her with a visit to the Union's Infinite Library. She felt that if there was a single place in all of NJorun Station that he'd be, it would be in a place familiar him. Surrounded by books of paper, papyrus, and mediums not even seen in their world and some otheres.

As she enters, just a pair of steps behind the Cryophoenix, Ahri smiles at Anivia's rection to the place. For a creature so ancient, she had hoped such a place could be something new, surprising, and unexpected. It wasn't often immortals got to experience such feelings, right?

A few more moments, and she'd finally speak up, "I -think- he's in here, somewhere, and I'm sure you two would like to catch up. It may just be hard to find him.. it's a big library, as you can see..."
Nasus     Nasus is indeed here, somewhere...It's hard to tell where the Custodian is in the massive library, unless one an hear him talking to himself. He is prone to talk to himself, it helps keep him sane despite the eons of isolation, "Hmm. Intriguing.." He muses to himself as he looks through a book. He seems to have been just finishing it.

He re-shelves the book and hefts his halberd, rising from his seat and placing the weapon back onto his back, before he walks away from the table he had been sitting his massive frame at. TIme to find another book, and a new topic to read about.
Guest Anivia Much to Ahri's expectations, Anivia was caught completely off guard by the true majesty of the Infinite Library. Upon first walking through the doors, if Ahri was quick enough to notice, a brief look of surprise passed along the Cryophoenix's face. The Multiverse continued to catch Anivia by surprise again and again... all to the Phoenix's absolute delight. The feeling of discovery was a thrill that Anivia had missed. Runeterra was certainly a great start... a very, very great start, but even Runeterra in all its magical diversity couldn't cast a shadow on the Multiverse.

Ahri's voice suddenly pulls Anivia out of her newfound energetic trance. "Oh yes, I can't forget, plenty of time for books later." the Phoenix responds as she turns to face the Nine-Tailed Fox. "It's becoming quite a handful to keep track on the Champions of Runeterra in the Multiverse. Though I will admit, it was only a matter of time until Nasus would visit this Library... This place is certainly massive though... it might be hard to simply wander into him. Let me see if I can spot him from above...."

With that brief warning, Anivia opens her massive frozen wings and sends a freezing gust of wind out from under her as she launches herself high over the shelves. Her avian eyes quickly scans the library from above... but it was a familiar deep yet surprisingly soothing voice that catches her attention.

"Ah-ha, there you are." Anivia remarks as she slowly drops altitude, calling out to Ahri. "Found him."

As Nasus begins to move on to find another book, he would suddenly feel a cold breeze blowing on his back, as Anivia the Cryophoenix lands on a nearby shelf above him, just a few inches out of reach of his staff. "It has been too long Curator of the Sands."
Ahri Aw, but flying was cheating! Seeing Anivia take to the great indoors' roof just made her smile. She did not expect Nasus to be found quite so fast, but then again, if the Curator started from the FRONT of the library, then well, mthat would explain things. The kumiho would start to follow, going in the way that Anivia flew. There's a lot of shelves!
Nasus     The sense of cold coming down over him is detected before Anivia herself is. He turns his attention to her when she calls out to him, and he bows his head to her, "It has been quite some time, Anivia. I did not realize that you had left Runeterra as well."

"So what brings you to the library, old friend?" He asks, as he turns away from Anivia to one of the nearby shelves, running his finger along the spines of the books there.
Guest Anivia Anivia takes a moment to look up, blinking her magical glowing eyes... and realizing that Ahri wasn't quite right behind her. Oh dear, she hopes she didn't leave the Nine-Tailed Fox too far behind. Oh dear, she hopes she didn't fly too fast... Ahri was quite speedy but there were A LOT of shelves in the way.

When Nasus speaks, the Cryophoenix looks back down at the fellow ageless Champion. Her raptor-like feet shimmying carefully along the shelves, following Nasus from above as she takes care to ensure her talons didn't damage anything.

"I go where a Phoenix is needed, and there is much turmoil in the Multiverse. Runeterra is stable... enough for now, that I can also lend my guidance to those of the Multiverse as well." She pauses as she looks over her shoulder to see if Ahri caught up yet. "As for why I am here right now, a mutual friend of ours told me that you were spotted here. I needed an excuse to visit this library myself." She chuckles and looks down at Nasus, "We both share a fondness for knowledge and books after all."
Ahri It wasn't -that- far. Besides, Ahri was, as stated, a fairly speedy champion. A few moments after the two begin to talk, the Kumiho comes into view from the edge of one of the isles, "Ah, Nasus, I see Anivia found you," she calls as she approaches. "I almost feel out of place between the two of you."
Nasus     "No need to feel out of place." Nasus says once Ahri finally shows up. He turns his attention to her and smiles, "Despite our age, we are all still Champions just the same. I view both of you as my equals. And my friends." He says, before turning back to the shelf for a second, "Ahh.." He pulls the book off of the shelf and moves to a nearby table, laying it out on the table.
Guest Anivia Anivia blinks as she takes a moment to look away from Ahri and Nasus, and for the first time focuses on the spine of the books nearby. After a few seconds of silently craning her neck, turning her head back and forth as she scrolls she seems to find something she likes on the top shelf of the bookcase nearby.

With a small hop Anivia lands on a shelf opposite of her, latching onto the frames with her feet and using her beak to try and remove the book from its place. This... actually took a while, as Anivia was trying to take care not to harm the book in the process... her natural grace earned VS the clumsiness of not having any hands or thumbs in a Human-driven world. She had to peck at it slowly, nip and nudge the book out far enough that she could grab it in her beak and slowly wiggle it out, occasionally flapping her wings feverously to keep her balance.

After much hassle, Anivia finally removes the book and lands on the ground with it in her beak. She gives a quick and cheerful, but muffled chirp, quite pleased with herself as she trots to a nearby table where Nasus placed his book and drops it on the surface with a loud 'thump!'.

With that process out of the way, Anivia turns her head back to Ahri. "We were all friends before this entire Multiverse ordeal happened in the first place. I feel quite comfortable with the two of you than with anyone else I've met thus far."
Ahri And Ahri watched the WHOLE process. Partly out of curiosity, partly out of surprise. She actually goes to offer a hand, thinks better of it, and then turns to follow after Nasus. No book for her. . . Thanks. "So, have you been here the -whole- time since you arrived, Nasus?"
Nasus "For the most part." Nasus says, "I do not need water or food to survive, however this place is nice enough to provide both of them. He looks at the book on the table and opens it up, "I have been looking information from all over the Multiverse. There is so much to know.."

He says, "And if I understand correctly, there are even books that are not printed on pages, but on screens like those from Piltover.." He turns the page on the book he has on the table, "It is very fascinating.."
Guest Anivia Anivia nods at Nasus' explanation, having a similar magically-driven biology that required very little nourishment or rest... though overdoing it does take its toll. Only then does the Cryophoenix work up an appetite. Anivia turns back to the book she worked so hard to obtain, carefully opening it with a frozen wing and looking down at the hand-written pages. "Knowledge comes in all forms, all it requires is a bit of adaptation and a keen mind."

Carefully stepping back so Ahri could see the title page; "Magical Theory: Magic Diversity Across the Multiverse / Is All Magic Connected?" in big bold text. "I have already flown across dozens of different worlds and plains in the Multiverse. I have seen so much and learned so much already, but there are some things you can only learn from others. A good book is an excellent place to start."

With a small chuckle, Anivia looks over at Ahri, "Has nothing caught your eye young one?"
Ahri "Hmm?" Oh. She was asking about a book? "Oh, no, not today, Anivia," she says without even missing a beat. "I wouldn't even know where to start in a place this size," she muses before looking over at Nasus, "And what are you studying? I'd bet there's a book about how desert dunes shift about if you wanted to find it..."
Nasus "I'd say to start with what interests you," Nasus says to Ahri, "And then work your way out from there..As for what I have.." He looks at the book that he picked out, "Grays Sports Almanac, 1950-2000 edition.
Guest Anivia Anivia blinks as she looks over at Nasus, tilting her head slightly to one side. "Oh? I'm not quite familiar with this... Almanac, so do let me know if you learn anything interesting!" Anivia remarks, quite oblivious to human sports in general as she turns back to Ahri. "Too many options? I know the feeling. But Nasus is right, there's a bit of everything here. Ficton or Non-Fiction, you might learn quite a bit about humans from a well written book." she chuckles, "That's how I learned about the Humans and Yordels of Runeterra when I was first summoned to your world. If it worked for me it might just work for you."
Ahri Earflick. Tail twitch, "Maybe," she muses toward Anivia, though taking note of what Nasus pulled out, "Sports..? Wait you? Sports? Hahaha, that's fantastic. I wouldn't figure you to take that by choice, Nasus. Any reason that one stood out? I mean, there aren't a lotta sports in the desert, right?" Yup. Deflecting, constantly, in a very non-chalant (sp?) way.
Nasus "No, there were not many sports in Shruima." Nasus replies, "At least not the same type of sports they seem to depict in this book.." He muses, "But something about it made it stand out..As if it were some sort of artifact.." He hmms, and turns the book over in his hand, "I sense something like this could be used for great evil, if in the wrong hands.." He turns the book over once again, "It does have a nice dust cover, though.." He shelves the book again, and then turns back to the other two, "Thankfully it is within these walls, guarded by the best the Union has to offer."
Guest Anivia Anivia is normally an expert reader of people... and she did notice that something was bothering Ahri. The Cryophoenix blinks as she eyes the Nine-Tailed Fox, silently wondering if she should pry... but Nasus's voice catches her attention and causes the Cryophoenix to glance over at the Ancient Champion as he returns the book back to its shelf. "One of many treasures in this Library no doubt."

"Well do take care not to get lost in these tomes dear friend, reading all the books in this Library would be a great undertaking, even for one such as yourself." the Cryophoenix asks as she glances down at her original book, flipping a few pages with a brush of her wing.

She also casts another glance at Ahri... obviously wanting to dig a little deeper and find out what she was trying to keep from Anivia...
Ahri "Mmhmm, There are plenty of books in here but we miiiight need you if we come across Baron Nashor again, or worse. Last time I was at the Institute they were very concerned that Noxus or Zaun may try to do something here. Avoiding the rules by coming here," Huff. "Typical.."
Nasus "Ah...Actually that makes me think...Perhaps I should donate some books on Noxus and Zaun for the library here...Any suggestions?" Nasus asks, as he looks to Ahri. She keeps changing the subject and dodging the question. It's making the old dog curious.
Guest Anivia Anivia's gaze keeps switching from Nasus to Ahri at this point, the great bird swishing her head around as does so. "Well..." she gives Ahri a soft but worried look. It was obvious that the Cryophoenix and the Curator has stumbled across something the Nine-Tailed Fox didn't want to let out.

Sometimes Anivia had to remind herself that Ahri was new to being a human. She never met her fluffy fox form... but that just might have something to do with it.

"Well, I'm afraid Noxus might fall back onto old habits now that they have so many ample targets to wage war on, without the Institute interfering. Perhaps some books that show how formidable the Multiverse is might give them pause... if only for a moment." Anivia then looks back at Ahri, "Any ideas dear Ahri?"
Ahri Another look is sent toward both of them, a breath, "I'm not formally Union, so it's probably best to ask an officer what we could share with the Institute. I kinda think that nothing in here is classified, but there's the whole 'not sharing things people shouldn't know' aspect I've heard about here and there... knowledge is power, all that?" One of these two told her that once. She's sure of it. "If I had a choice, though?" ponder. "Something about the Confederacy, known members and abilities..?" Not a book name, but it's information that could be shared, right? RIGHT?! Eartwitch. Weight shift. "Excuse me.." Huh? Well the stream is right there. Looks like she's just going to get some water. (AND A MOMENT TO GATHER HERSELF)
Nasus Nasus watches as Ahri basically runs off, tilting his head a little bit as she goes, "That's not a bad idea." He muses, "Something about both factions, at least enough to...Deter them. Once they realize the consequences." He turns his head to Anivia, "I do not think Ahri shares quite the same passion for literature as we do."
Guest Anivia Anivia nods her head as Ahri speaks, but every little ear/tail twitch and shift was noticed by Anivia's keen eyes. She kept her tongue to herself as Ahri turns and heads to the stream, waiting until the fox-girl was a bit farther away. Her tail feathers flick a few times... then she turns her head over to Nasus and speaks in such a hushed tone that not even Ahri's powerful Fox-Ears could pick up on it. "I know she's hiding something from us. She's only been human for so long... I doubt she had access to any tutors or books as a fox." Anivia pauses her train of thought and sighs, shaking her head and looking back at Ahri, wondering what was going through her mind at the moment.

Even Immortals wish to be psychics sometimes.

Realizing it would look bad if Ahri turned around and Anivia and Nasus were whispering to each other, Anivia stops the conversation as quickly as it began.

After a few seconds, letting Ahri take a brief moment for herself, Anivia begins to make her way over to the stream. "Ahri, may I ask you something personal?"
Ahri     When the Phoenix wanders over, Ahri hears her before she actually speaks. There's a small sigh, and then without really an explination the Kumiho starts to head -out- of the Library, "Another time," is all she says, but it's downright -frigid- how she says it.
Nasus "Let her be for now.." Nasus says, as he watches her head out, "She will come around in her own time. You have had quite a lot longer than she has to develop." The Curator says, "I shall be deeper in the library...Call me when you need me." And then like that, Nasus heads further back into the library itself.
Guest Anivia Anivia pauses as Ahri turns her back to the Phoenix and moves to leave. She hovers there for a moment, considering going after the Nine Tailed Fox, but quickly decides against it. It was clear to Anivia what just happened, but any further prying today would just cause more problems than anything else.

"You're right, of course." Anivia speaks to Nasus as the Curator turns and once again steps back into the maze of the Library, leaving Anivia alone once more.

The Phoenix looks around the now suddenly empty room. "Well, I suppose it's back to work then." She mutters, before she moves back to the shelves, once more scrolling through the books.
