Nero      The time at the Nero Festival, the red clad emperor herself introduced the main draw of the celebrations; the battle arena! With grand challenges awaiting brave heroes willing to face legends and reach out to grasp at a chance at glory.

Their challenge was Heracles, and although they fought and killed him once, their ally, Krusty decided to forfeit the match. Which Nero jumped right the heck on to declare a loss. People were not happy about that, but the time marched on and now, it is time for the second match! The arena seats are filled yet again with vistors from all across the Multiverse, along with the AI residents of the Moon Cell and others. The colosseum grounds are prepared, and our heroes are back.

And of course, Nero and Hakuno are back up in the openfaced viewing platform. Hakuno sits on a throne, looking mildly exasperated with this whole charade, but Nero stands next to her, a mic in one hand as she speaks. "Welcome back to the grand stage yet again, ladies, gentleman, and all others inbetween! It is time once more, for the next match of the Nero Festival!" With her other arm, the Servant thrusts outwards and points. "Last time, our heroes faced down Heracles! One of the greatest of heroes! With power overwhelming! But today... today, they will face not just one... but TWO great heroes! Behold!"

She sweeps her arm over to the other end of the colosseum as the gates creak and lift up... chains rattle and rise up until.... kchunk. They stop. And then come not the loud, thumping footsteps of a giant, but the light, measured pace of someone far more in control of themselves. "You had better put your back into this one, boy." Comes the voice of a woman as she speaks to her companion walking beside her.

And then she steps out into the light. She's clad in black, with long, purpleish brown hair and bright red eyes. "... So, they are to be our opponents then?" She asks no one in particular as she looks up over at Nero on the viewing platform for a moment. Then back to the group.

Nero, for her part riles up the crowd as she makes the introductions. "Their opponents are... The Warrior Queen of the Land of Shadows! Scathach! But that's not all! Along with her, is....!"
Cu Chulainn Walking out of the gates alongside Scathach is a man in a blue bodysuit, with blue hair tied up in a short ponytail and a pair of sparking blue earrings. He's carrying a red spear, held between his hands and resting behind his head as he walks, speaking to his partner. "Yeah, yeah...let's make it a good one."

Cu Chulainn had wanted a fight. He'd been on light duty when he got the offer, and couldn't at all refuse it, so he convinced Felt to give him as many mana boosters as he could. There'd be one hell of a crash afterwards and back to light duty, but how often do you get to be in a gladiator fight? The fact it was alongside his teacher was interesting, and also kind of scary.

Like, really, how the hell did she get here? Was she haunting him? She was totally haunting him.
Nero      "... The Hound of Chulainn! Ireland's Child of Light! Cu Chulainn!" Nero finishes bombastically, looking all too excited now that she's done the deed.

     Someone is having fun.
Seifer Almasy      Seifer Almasy being 'not happy' is sort of his default state. Seifer is rarely described as a 'happy' person. Grumpy, angry, vicious, aggressive, rival-ish, loud, hot-headed, hot-blooded, romantic, bullying, all of /these/ are words that people have used to describe Seifer Almasy, but the only time people use 'happy', it usually is as part of the word 'unhappy'. So it can sometimes be hard to tell whether or not Seifer is actually 'not happy' or just...Seifer.

This is not one of those times.

     Seifer's *pissed*.

The Fox's Knight enters the arena clad in the same stuff as last time - the chain with Tamamo's symbol hanging around his neck, ungloved to show the Command Spells on his arm, white coat with a red cross, and so on. There's no motorcycle this time. There's only Seifer, roiling with irritation as he makes his way into the arena.

Seifer being pissed doesn't even begin to describe how he's feeling right now.

He levels the blade at Cu Chulainn.

"If you're a real-ass knight and you're workin' for that cheater, then I challenge you to fight like a man. No teams. Just you and me, one on one."

He shoulders the gunblade. "I'm fightin' for the honor of my wife, an' since my /team/ fucked me over last time, I figure that my safest bet is challenging you alone instead of fighting the cheater's pet over there."

"How about it? Are you a real knight? You've got a sorceress, so I figure you are, but how about /honor/? You got that?"

     "Or,"

     Seifer sneers,

"Are you no better than that red-clad bitch up there? Can you even win without cheating?"
Android 17     With the other contestants, is a young man with black hair and striking blue eyes. He wares plain clothing, a normal shirt with a logo on it, and a pair of jeans. Right arm has a bandanna that is orange tied around it. Right now his hands are in his pockets, but their covered by leather gloves as he stands there, watcing the proceedings. He heard there were prizes to win, money to earn...and really, that could go a long way to fueling his trip around the multiverse and expericing the various animals there in. The man's striking eyes look around, watching the over top announcement of the woman claiming to be Nero.

"Huh...she was a he in our world." he shrugs. Looking back, he sees other heros...he wasn't sure about the woman with the spear, but he knows passing about the other spear guy. He's not super into mythos, it's not his bag.

Of course, then this OTHER GUY just walks up and demands a 1v1. He shrugs...and doesn't say anything or object...except...

"So, if that is allowed, we're not responsible for his losing right?" he asks, looking back across towards Scathach.

"That's a lot of titles you have." He says, politely. He's not going out of his way to be antagonistic...after all they're going to fight. Best to keep it civil.
Sanary Rondel      Sanary is absolutely feeding off the energy in the arena today: From the crowd to Nero to Cu Chulainn and Scathach, the healer's grinning brightly as she saunters into the arena with axe and staff slung over her shoulder and back. The technical loss against Heracles clearly hasn't dampened her spirits, and she's standing in sharp contrast to Seifer's...

Holy crap, that guy's pissed. Glancing back and forth a few times, she laughs after a moment before clapping a hand against Seifer's shoulder and giving Cu a thumbs up. "Just don't go too crazy, alright? I can't heal you if you're dead by the end of all this."

They'll be fine. Stepping away, she turns instead to the spear-wielder in black. After sizing her up for all of three seconds, Sanary's eye lights up!

Figuratively. Grasping the axe and staff, she crosses them over each other before settling into a more appropriate stance with the axe in front and the staff behind her. "Cool spear... Ah. Right. I'll get pissed if anyone holds back, so let's make this a show to remember!"
Touta Konoe      Once again the festivities of the Nero Festival begin and once again Touta Konoe makes an appearence. He seems to be pretty well rested after everything that had transpired only a short while ago. His wounds are healed, he's got a smile on his face as he arrives back into the arena, and he waves to the crowds. It's clear that he's pretty happy to be back. After all, he wants to get a win for their team after the previous fight with Heracles.

Upon his greetings to the fans he also gave a rather friendly wave to both Nero and Hakuno. Though the waving cuts out as a familiar face appears onto the colosseum floor. While the woman that appears in all black is someone he's unfamiliar, he totally remembers the blue-haired guy and shouts out to him.

"Hey! You're that Servant from when Foreigner showed up! I didn't know you'd be here! This should be awesome!" Or...It would have been awesome.

The young man looked like he was pretty eager to go toe-to-toe with this Lancer. But Seifer declares his intent for a 1 vs 1 challenge and that sorta ruins the mood. There's a bit of irritation on the boy's face for a moment as he jeers at his 'teammate'.

"Jeez, Seifer...Save some for the rest of us...But whatever..." But instead of making a scene, Touta figures he should go with the flow.

For the most part he feels pretty familiar with everyone whose shown up so far...Except for the guy with the black hair. Since they'll be working as a team, Touta walks over to the guy. Like Android 17, Touta's hair is also black. In fact most of his attire is black except for maybe the t-shirt under his jacket. Even the sword he's carrying is black apparently. That said, his expression appears nothing but bright as he tries to make a pleasant greeting.

"Yo, looks like we'll be paired up this time around. Name's Touta, how about you?"
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason is all fired up and ready to go at this point she looks to Nero as Seuger tells her off for a moment. She look to see that Cu is up to fight oh this would be interesing and today she's brought a drone with her a serpent like thing which hisses for a momne she also sees Seifer anger and honestly she's not happy with this set up either. She however lets Seifer speak for the moment she just watching Nero with a wary eye.
Cu Chulainn As he's announced, Cu twirls the spear in his hands, spinning it into the air and catching it. A little trick for the crowd. He expects a big fight and a lot of interplay with Scathach, his mentor. Touta gets a nod, and is about to get a reply, when Seifer speaks up and challenges him. Cu raises an eyebrow, but listens, leaning against his spear.

"Cheater, huh? Sounds like you got big problems with the little lady in charge. That's not any of my worries...but if you're asking me if I got honor, well...I'll just have to show you."

There's a toothy grin, as Cu glances to Touta. "Sorry, kid. We'll have to fight another time. Me and blondie here have a playdate." As the fight moves to begin, Cu sweeps the spear up into his hand, and holds it in both. "You willing to /die/, huh? Because you're fighting a real knight, here. I'm not gonna hold back on you, and I expect you not to do the same for me! We'll fight until one of us drops dead or cries uncle." Cu Chulainn seems so playful about it...and then, he cries out.

"I'll take the first strike, then!"

Getting into a two-handed stance, he moves like he's about to charge and strike...and starting to dash forward, suddenly, he might seem like he's just /gone/. Cu Chulainn moves so quickly that he clears the distance between himself and Seifer in seconds, ground kicking up dust behind him. He's moving to try and pierce Seifer directly in the stomach with his spear, though Seifer's reaction-speed and skill aren't something he knows. To Cu, if you can't handle a strike like that, you never should have challenged him in the first place. The red spear is sharp and brilliant, a weapon worthy of a hero, and if it hits, it hurts like /hell/. "Show me what you got, blondie!"
Nero      "Well! Well! Well! What do we have here!? Right as he is introduced, Cu Chulainn is challenged to single combat by Seifer Almasy! Interesting!" She thrusts her arm out after that. "Very well! I shall allow it! Now go! Show us a rousing battle!" Hakuno meanwhile smiles just a bit and waves down at Touta, before facepalming at the impromptu one versus one. "Nothing ever goes smoothly. But..." She shakes her head, deciding not to comment otherwise and focus on watching the battles to come.

Nero brings the mic to her mouth then, "Round Two of the Nero Festival... BEGIN!"

Scathach meanwhile quirks a brow at Seifer, and then glances aside at Cu. "I see. Fine then. Go on, Cu. I can handle the rest by myself." And so, the shadow queen turns away from those two and faces the remaining four, twirling her red spear and then getting into a stance. "As the emperor has stated, my name is Scathach. And I invite you to show me that you are more than just weak souls struggling to find relevance in your lives." Then, she reaches out with her other arm, and second red spear phases into existence.

     And then she's gone.

The next instant, she's right in the middle of the group of four and spinning in a furious whirlwind of red.
Seifer Almasy      Sanary gets a grin and a wink. Touta gets a roll of the eyes. "I'm the only one here with anything to lose, so I'm gonna play by my rules, not hers. You got a problem with it?"

Cu's response gets a huge, almost feral, grin from the blonde. The gunblade taps against his shoulder. "That's what I want. You show me."

Seifer brings the Gunblade out. The stance looks ridiculous. It looks outright stupid. He's holding it like it's a pistol, despite obviously not having any exit point for the bullets. It hangs there in his hand, moving slightly in a circle, his other hand hanging loose, the long, thin, sharp blade just *there*. Seifer's free hand goes to his scar as he smirks. "I don't do 'sparring' and I don't do 'padded blades' or 'wooden swords.' You only get better if you fight for real. So bring it on, 'real knight.' You're fighting the King of the Moon, knight and husband of the Fox-Tailed Caster. Remember that when I drive your ass into the ground."

Cu surges forward. That deadly red spear flashes outwards at speeds a normal human could not possibly block, could not possibly see. The spear gets an inch away from Seifer's stomach, even managing to scratch along him, before Cu finds the blade *way* off the mark. Seifer's face is close to his, and his lips split in a wide, mean grin. "You wanna see what I got?"

The gunblade grinds along Gae Bolg. Sparks flicker as Seifer accelerates it, stepping forward into a round slash. At the point of impact he pulls the trigger; the blade shakes violently, a brutal vibration as the gun discharges with a thundrous BANG.

     "I got skills."
Sanary Rondel      "Relevance...? Big words from someone I ain't even heard about!" Although the words do hit a sore spot for Sanary, she's quick to snap back with some barbs of her own. With the fight underway, the healer's reaction is quick and...

Stiff? She knows her weaknesses well enough, at least, and trying to evade that whirlwind attack coming out of nowhere is just asking to get a spear lodged in her face. Instead, she brings her axe up to defend her head and neck, bearing the brunt of the damage on her staff arm and splashing the field with blood for her trouble.

"Teleporting right in the middle of a...? You got guts, but so do I!" Tossing that staff aside for later, she lashes out with the axe, aiming to catch the lancer in black in mid-swing!
Android 17     Android 17 looks towards Touta for a moment, and nods. "Nice to meet you, Android 17." He says, calmly, before Scathach makes her attack.

    Well, that's a thing.

The android barrier comes up a moment later, a green field of energy that attempts to resist her attacks. He braces, trying to draw on inner strength, but her attack pierces the barrier, sending the Android back and causing him to skid across the field a bit. He can see the bleeding already...

"Oh you're THAT kind of person," he says, cracking his neck. There is a moment, as Android 17 starts...channeling his energy through him. There is a definte aura that starts to surround him. When he stops, he returns to a fighting stance.

A moment later, he was gone, appearing right infront of the Queen of Shadows, aiming to try and shove his hand up towards her face, while at the same time aiming to sweep her legs from under her.

He disappears again, aiming to move with great speed to just slightly above her, and brings both hands down, aiming to return the favor of her attack right back at her.

"I haven't had a chance to cut loose in a while. It'll be fun."
Lyria Mason The battle is on and she suspects there will be trickery afoot here after the last time. Still, she'll respect Seifer and Cu's duel for the moment she's got other things to worry about in the meantime she's got to worry about a certain lady who trained Cu and a good deal of his crew from back in the day. Not that she knows the details of this she looks for a moment.

"I'd be happy to."

She's already acting as she sees the woman vanish, she has an idea of what might have been coming but she wasn't quite right even with her having an idea about what might come she does not escape the fury of this woman.

She does, however, get her cutlass out in time to keep from being cleaved in two by it, the legendary weapon clashes with the weapon she forged herself and the shock of the impact shakes Lyria. She's forced back from it and goes for her pistol opening up with M-Tek rounds on Scathach as she attempts to dance away and her drone hangs back like it's making ready for something.
Cu Chulainn As Scathach draws a second spear, Cu Chulainn actually mutters at some point. "Why the hell does she get two?!" But the fight is busy moving, so he doesn't keep focused on her for too long. Instead, as his spear cuts along Seifer, it's deflected off-mark, and the grinding noise as the gunblade crosses against Gae Bolg is pretty awful, but Cu's most worried about the damage. He wasn't entirely expecting a deflection like that into an attack, and he has to admit, it's pretty impressive.

And also he's been cut. The slash draws blood from his stomach, and the vibration hurts him, staggering him backwards. He's not staggered long, because he's absolutely a superhuman, and he's not super injured, but it's definitely making him go to play seriously. "Hah, I guess you do!"

And so, in a pivot off his foot, Cu moves to one-hand swing the spear up and into Seifer's right side for a hard impact. He's then going to play off this strike as a distraction so that he can pull back, and then rush into another super-fast surge. At first, it might seem like he's going to go for another gut-stab, but that's too easy to figure out now. Instead, Cu Chulainn moves to try and circle to the side of him and sweep Gae Bolg across his side and back, letting the blade slash him, sharp enough to cut and be effective at it, while using force in the swing that could seriously hurt someone.

"I'm not human, you know. I'm a Heroic Spirit, I'm much more than that. You got what it takes to handle that by yourself?" A little lack of modesty never hurt anyone, Cu Chulainn reasons.
Touta Konoe      Touta will definitely hold Cu to that. But for now it looks like him and Seifer get to have their one versus one unimpeded. It seemed that no one else was going to impede with their match as far as he could tell.

His attention turns back to Android 17. That's an interesting name...Or Number? "Android? That's cool, one of my friends back home is an android. So do you do stuff like rocket punches and laser beams or something?

As Touta's new found interest in 17's skillset arises,Scathach makes her presence known with her declaration. Just from her first remark she reminds him of a certain teacher of his. Like someone with plenty of confidence and alot of experience to back it up. She quickly displays that experience when she finds her way inbetween all four of them without any of them noticing!

"How did she even do tha-" There's no time to even question it as Scathach conjures another spear and begins her assault. While Touta's attempts to raise his blade, Scathach proves right from the get-go that she's not to be trifled with. Her spear slashes through his torso tearing away at his red t-shirt and instead gives him a red and bloody chest. Honestly it looks like he had received the worst of it from Scathach. Though just as quick as that wound appeared steam was already appearing from where the wound had been and the size of Touta's gash begins to look smaller and smaller before the Celtic warrior's eyes.

"Scathach huh, name's Touta Konoe and I'll take that invite no questions asked!"

A smile acrues on the boy's face as he charges back towards the black-adorned woman. As 17 begins his assault on Scathach, Touta's following in tandem. Taking his blade he attempts to position himself above her just as 17 did and raises his blade above his head and prepares to swing down full force. He's got to try and show that he can dish out just as much as he takes.

     "TWO-THOUSAND FOLD!"
Seifer Almasy      Cu brings the spear up around to Seifer's right side (well, Cu's right, Seifer's left; Seifer's right-handed). That's a good idea. Hyperion is in Seifer's other hand, so there's no possible way he'd be able to block that spear coming in.

     He does.

It's like watching a great artist paint. The first strike bounds off the gunblade as it goes from where it /is/ to where it /needs/ to be. There's nothing supernatural about it, either, no superhuman speed at play, no superhuman strength as the gunblade goes over Seifer's shoulder to block the first, distracting strike. Cu can *tell* the difference; he's good enough with his spear to *see* the difference. It's just raw skill.

Cu steps up, bringing the blade around as a cutting tool. Seifer steps forward, spinning to meet it; the blade scratches across his arm as he deflects it upwards, cutting through his coat and drawing blood. The riposte becomes a thrust as Seifer steps into the Gae Bolg's reach, the gunblade jabbing out for a stab at the heart. Seifer doesn't fuck around with 'side attacks' or 'back attacks' - he goes right for the kill.

     "An' I'm Seifer Almasy."

"The man who's gonna become the Heroic Spirit everybody's gonna wanna summon!"

Seifer taps his scar again as he thrusts. It's kind of insane that he's even willing to do that. "So you better memorize this face, 'cause you're gonna be seeing it from here till the end of time!"
Nero      Scathach comes to a stop, both spears held in her hands as she ascertains the results of her sudden opening strike. Looks like these four have some actual ability to them. "Interesting. Perhaps I may be able to enjoy this after all."

Just then, Sanary comes in swinging that axe at her back. Scathach responds merely by spinning one of her spears and angling it so that the axe blade clashes with it and takes most of the momentum out of the strike. "Hm. Decent power. But something tells me that this hardly your specialty, girl."

Next comes Android 17 reappearing in front of her. She knew that hand coming at her face was feint, and instead, stabs one spear into the ground just as her legs are swept out from under her. Using the falling momentum, the black clad woman disperses one of her weapons, presses her hand flat to the ground, and vaults backwards to her feet. Just in time for Lyria to fire a bullet at her.

Without looking, Scathach swings her lance and cleaves the projectile in twain. Thus the remnants of the force strike over and past her. "Hm. A fascinating weapon you have here." And then Touta comes barreling in with a 2000 fold strike, which the Servant responds to by bracing her feet, and clashing against that sword with one of her red lances for a moment before she parries the strike and leaps aside. "And you too, boy. A weapon that can increase its own weight? Fascinating."

There's a smile playing on her lips as she gives her appraisal of those who have attacked her thus far. "I sense great potential in all of you. Surely, there are even greater heights to which you may rise to." Scathach resummons her second lance. And then behind her, several more lances appear, floating in the air. Sorry Cu. It was more than just two.

     Hey, that rhymed.

Anyway the queen of shadows goes on the offensive, unleashing a sudden burst of red prjectiles as those lances hurtle through the air at alarming speeds, splitting off into two sets of four each while Scathach herself dashes in and goes right for 17 and Touta with a precise and furious spinning lance strike from the side to the android, followed by a turn into a thrust with the other lance right towards Touta's midsection.
Cu Chulainn Seifer's good. Extremely good, better with his gunblade than Cu is with his spear. Cu can tell that. It actually revs him up, gets him really into the fight. As his first blow is blocked, he smiles, and as Seifer pushes against his second and moves to stab Cu in the heart, he laughs. It's a happy laugh, one from someone who's enjoying himself.

Which doesn't mean he'll just take it. He tilts his body to the side, preventing himself from getting stabbed clear in the heart, though the blade still plunges into his chest, up near his shoulder. The lancer hurks, blood pouring, muscle and tissue torn, as he uses his spear to push Seifer back with force, pulling back to take a moment for a breather. Making sure he's watching his guard for a potential follow-up, Cu slides his finger across the blood, and begins wiping it against his chest in a pattern, sort of like writing a letter. As he finishes it, it glows bright blue, the rune starting to patch up his wound. It's not exceptionally quick, but it's enough that he won't have to worry about it.

"Trying to steal my heart, eh? Aren't you devoted to your foxy girl?" Cu Chulainn teases, wiping the blood off his spear. "Well, two can play at that game." Cu Chulainn takes a two-handed stance, preparing to lunge, and then dashes in again. At first, he's not as fast, clearly letting Seifer see him.

And then, he darts to the side with superhuman speed, shifting his body-mass off to make it difficult for Seifer to hit him center-mass, while trying to focus the spear with his hands to move for Seifer's own chest, attempting to plunge it into his heart. It's not his best work, but his best work is a massive cost of mana.
Sanary Rondel      Sanary's expression actually shifts into a slight scowl as Scathach keeps hammering her figuratively, the words bouncing around in her head and reminding her of past failures.

So many past failures. So much wasted time. Still, it's not as if she can just let the spear-wielder get away with saying such things. She's got more pride than that, and said pride drives her forward as she focuses some healing magic into her wounded arm to stem the bleeding. "You know... Maybe.. Maybe you're right. Just swinging this around ain't my specialty at all. Nah... Here's my specialty, then, you...!"

Just how old is Scathach, anyway? She doesn't look /old/ old, but Sanary's fairly certain that there's still a significant enough age gap between them. Taunting her about her age could be risky.

High ground for now. Channeling healing energy towards Touta next, the healer brings her injured arm up again as she rushes right through the rain of spears, deflecting a few and redirecting others to graze against her sides rather than impaling her outright in her rapid advance towards SCathach. "Multi-tasking's more my speed!"

She's lying. She is lying through her teeth. in all fairness, though, it's not all that hard for her to shift her focus to supporting someone else and attacking at the same time, and she opts to do just that. The axe is raised high, and the healer moves with... Not quite alarming speed, but something resembling speed as that axe comes back down towards Scathach to try and catch her in mid-stab yet again!
Seifer Almasy      Gunblade meets flesh. Seifer tears it out, and Lancer starts healing himself. That's fine. Seifer's smirk is unparalleled in its smugness. "I'm completely devoted. I'm a devoted Sorceress's Knight. The only reason I wanna take your heart..."

Seifer swings the gunblade to the side, splattering the blood on the ground and cleaning it in a single swipe. "Is to present it to my foxy lady and see the smile on her face. That's my romantic dream, buddy; making my Sorceress safe and happy. And what makes my foxy lady happy is crushing everything the cheating red bitch on the throne likes."

     "Gilgamesh!"

The red-clad phantom appears behind Seifer. It's grey-skinned, with three grey arms emerging from under the tattered red robe. Blank, inhuman white eyes shine from under the red cowl. Three...cardboard cutout?...arms set on the shoulder, as if it's missing some of its limbs.

The grey-skinned phantasm reaches out as Cu takes his stance. Blue light gathers in its limbs; it crushes the light into a ball, then disappears. Seifer whistles. "Interesting. I'll have to try that out in a bit. Nice work, Greg. And thanks for giving me that opening. The Noble Phantasm things are all pretty interesting."

Hyperion lowers. As Cu makes his pose, Seifer raises his hand, and gestures. He's *full* of openings. The cocksure grin on his face is practically mocking, but it's clearly not mocking Cu - it's mocking Nero. As Cu starts running, Seifer doesn't move.

     Flash.

Cu Chulainn shows his incredible speed. He dodges to the side, and he shoves the sword right for Seifer's chest.

     There's a sudden thump.

Hyperion comes up, intercepting the stab.

Everyone can see it. The Gae Bolg, blocked on the tip of a blade. The point is driven against the tip of the blade itself, not the flat, the thrust blocked by Seifer's motion, a motion too fast to see.

"I'm gonna rewrite my Caster's story," he says, loudly enough so everyone can hear, "I'm gonna give her a happy ending, and then I'm gonna go into your Holy Grail War and protect her for the rest of time."

"And I'm gonna dedicate every victory to her!"

     "And just to her!"

     "Starting with this one!"

     "ISN'T THIS ROMANTIC!"

Seifer's told people before of how he stopped an impossible blade, how he turned it against its master and used it to kill a god. But he's never shown how. Now, though...now, he's showing how. Seifer steps into the motion, bringing Gae Bolg around with the tip of his blade. It's more than a parry, more than a riposte; it's trying to force Gae Bolg's own point back on its master in a way that a spear absolutely *should not* be able to do. It's more than a parry-and-riposte; it's a *reversal*, an insane, impossible trick that only somebody whose skill transcending mortal limits could ever even think of pulling off.

     Seifer's skill transcends mortal limits.

And he makes it look almost *casual*.
Android 17     The spear comes in again, this time the Android braces, the shield coming up and aiming to block against the thrust. One might ask which is stronger...but then there is a crack. The shield is penetraited by the spear, and Android 17 feels yet another massive amount of pain from the strike. This is one of those people who does not warm up...she goes for broke, even when he can see the strain she is putting herself under. Well, that is one way of doing things.
Seventeen flies back from the attack, sliding across the arena for a moment until slowly he stops. His head looks down for a moment, until he stops, and his head shifts up again. Staring right at the woman from the shadows.

Seventeen disappears again, but this time appears higher into the air, pointing a hand down. Straight down towards Scathach, as energy charges on his palm. Well, if at first you don't succeed...hit them from a different angle!

The ball of ki flies down, electrified as it surges through the air, aiming to try and catch the woman from above, and explode in a devent sized blast, aiming to put some heat on her.
Lyria Mason Everyone was Kung-Fu Fighting, wait no? It's a brawl with two crazy Celts not Kung-fu. Android 17 is proving he's no lightweight and as for Touta and Snary she knows of their reputations in the multiverse enough, that she's confident they know what they are doing. She, however, has no idea she's dealing with a trainer of legendary heroes but she may get the idea very quickly just how powerful as she is, she seems to be a dragoon who is pulling off stunts she expects out of a Samurai back home.

"They are quite useful."

She keeps moving but the projkect9iole attack hit with such force that even Lyria while ready for more hits is just floored by the savage assault what might be impressiv ei she gets /back/ up. She's clearly had the snot knocked out of her from the looks of it but she's still in the fight.

"My creations are not the only ways I can fight."

She notes as she turns part of the arena trying to form several large protion of rock to catch The Queen of Shadows, hopefully unaware.
Touta Konoe      There's a smile that creeps onto Touta's face, and with it a bead of sweat. A strong offense and defense.

"Thanks...Though if we're comparing my sword and your skills I think you are totally winning out. Seriously, you look like you've been using those spears for a thousand years or something." That's how he saw it at least. While she didn't have the raw power that Heracles had, Scathach had skill, pure skill in her craft and she left it on full-display against all four of them. But at least when she says she thinks they have potential it feels pretty meaningful after that whole display.

But the Celtic legend transitions from defense back to an offense just as quick. An assortment of lance projectiles are conjured and with them signal her retaliation. Lances going flying and right behind them Scathach charges forward with spears in both hands towards 17 and himself. For a moment Touta thinks that he might have found an opening as she attempts to strike at Android 17 first.

     He was wrong...

17's barrier is broken through and without a moment's delay Scathach's able to transition another powerful attack flawlessly. There's very little time to react and as he tries to shift his body at the last moment, but ultimately a large piece of flesh is ripped from his side.

He steps back for a moment trying to create some distance. Even if the guy's immortal he can tell that he'll definitely lose if he keeps getting hit by blows like those. Yet he gets a second wind. First from Sanary who supports him. While he's already got a healing factor it's always appreciated to get some help. Then 17 starts his own counter offensive with a large ball of...Ki? Touta has Ki in his world, and he has androids in his world, but he's pretty sure he's never seen an android use ki...Especially like that.

It's at this point he can't help but have the thoughts in his mind burst forth. "Man, you guys are awesome!" Everyone was going all out and if the crowd wasn't eating it all up, Touta sure was. Though that only meant he had to put up his fair share. So with that...

Touta readies his stance once more, he's waiting for the moment. His feet planted firmly in the ground. As the explosion finishes Touta bolts towards Scathach likely veiled by the smoke of the aftermath. It's only when he can see a black shadow within the smoke that he strikes. Unlike before going for full power he would go for a different approach.

"ZERO FOLD!"

     "ONE-THOUSAND FOLD!"

         "ZERO FOLD!"

             "ONE-THOUSAND FOLD!!!"

Instead of demonstrating the strength of his blade, he wanted to show this skilled warrior his own strength /with/ his blade. A flurry of slashes assault Scathach, but upon impact each one while not as powerful as before emphasize a show of strength that shouldn't be possible at the speed they were coming at.
Cu Chulainn Seifer does...something with a three-armed man. Cu Chulainn doesn't flinch. He's clearly taking it seriously, as a threat he has to be careful about. When it doesn't do anything tangible, he focuses back on Seifer directly, and then he makes that lunge.

Something Cu Chulainn has never seen in his life happens. As it does, his eyes widen, clearly shocked. The stab is intercepted on the tip of the blade, and the spear begins to spin around in his hands, moving to stab Cu. It plunges into the lancer's side, him able to push back against it enough that it doesn't hit him center-mass, though he's certainly pained as it rips through his flesh in such a logic-defying way.

As he's stabbed, Cu Chulainn pulls his spear back and begins to take a step backwards again. He's being schooled by a human his age. He'd commented recently that warriors seemed so rare, that it was all so boring...but this, this was what he believed in. This was the type of person that the world needed more of. "Hah...hah...hahahahaha! You're great, definitely the kind of guy I like to see fighting. You've got one hell of a dream, but I wish you luck in seeing it. But right now, you and me, we're opponents, and I'm not gonna go easy on you just because you're impressive. That'd be /insulting/."

Instead, Cu surges back in, moving to thrust the spear a multitude of times. It's a flurry of blows - individually weak strikes at a high volume, because he knows Seifer's going to end up blocking several of them. As the healing magic continues to work, Cu Chulainn will use this to give himself a breather, because he's overextended after that heart thrust.
Seifer Almasy      Cu's stabbing is absolutely ridiculously fast.

Seifer meets every single one of them.

It's not just stupid, it's *impossible*. It's something out of the realm of mortality and into the realm of a godlike blade saint. Cu Chulainn is not slow, not weak, not even remotely holding back. Any of those strikes could probably shatter stone, at the least. They could tear through Seifer's skull with one blow. They're faster than any human could ever hope to be.

And yet each and every time the speartip hits the tip of Hyperion, pushed aside and redirected. Each and every time the speartip comes flashing in it finds the tapered point of the gunblade meeting it. It's like water being turned aside by wind, but a thousand times more precise. A needle turning aside a hammer. Even watching it is seeing something that shouldn't be possible.

"I'd be really damn mad if you held back!" Seifer calls as he turns aside another stab, "If you held back, I wouldn't get to rub it in that smug red bitch's face with nearly as much satisfaction, and a victory where the other guy's not showing me his best isn't worth giving my foxy lady! An' if you expect me to hold back..."

The grey giant appears as Seifer deflects another blade. He jams the blue sphere into his Gunblade as he shouts, "YOU AIN'T BEEN PAYIN' ATTENTION!"

                                LIMIT BREAK
                               LANN AN BHAIS

     Cu Chulainn knows this.

     He knows it intimately.

It is the sensation of 'being struck' without any obvious cause. The sensation of a blade raking through his body before Seifer has even swung. The sensation of a sure-kill attack, a certain death strike, though no strike has been made.

     The sensation of Gae Bolg.

Seifer swings, dragging the blade upwards.

Still, for a sure-kill attack, something like that is awfully unreliable, isn't it...? There's probably a way out of it, even as "cause" and "effect" become inverted, and "blade" becomes the "effect" of "damage." Assuming Cu knows his own trick as well as he thinks he does...maybe this is, indeed, the best test he could've asked for.
Nero      Sanary actually takes heed of her words, and Scathach's opinion of her improves just a little bit. "Very good, girl. Use all of your strengths to your advantage." She says as that axe comes down and clashes against a spear. But the downward momentum forces the weapon into her shoulder, drawing blood at last. "I see." And then she swings and parries away that axe, spinning around to find Lyria's stone clusters flying her way. "Earth magic. Good. Vary your means of attack to keep your opponent in their toes. A viable tactic. You have good sense." The queen of shadows says as she meets those stone clusters with razor sharp swings of her lances.

They slice through the rocks, but even still, one gets through and strikes the black clad woman in the midsection, sending her skidding backward a bit, but still solidly on her feet. "Hm! The strength is commendable. I can hardly call you mediocre now. However..." Those red eyes spy 17 trying to blast her with another energy attack, and she has anticipated it. She even anticipates his anticipation of her movement and feints a dodge in one direction, before stabbing her spear into the ground and swerving in a completely different direction.

This causes the blast the strike the arena floor, the electrified force crackling at her back as she sails forward and slides across the colosseum floor. Just in time for Touta to get in close. "You're back, hm?" Scathach smirks, twirling those two lances and then lurching forward into a flurry of blows as the boy tries to alternate between speed and power to change up his strikes. "Using your weapons unique properties to fool your enemy's perception." The Servant states amid the clashing of weapons and flying sparks.

"You have only begun to show me your ingenuity. And this much... is not nearly enough!" Even as some of those slashes get through, none of them seem to land a decisive hit aggravatingly enough, as Scathach swerves and twists this way and that.

And then she ducks underneath Touta's next swing, and sweeps her leg out in order to knock the boy off of his feet. In the next moment, three two additional spears are summoned into thin air as the queen of shadows looks 17 and Lyria's way.

"Fly." They hurtle forward, blitzing through the sky as they aim to pierce in any way they can.

And then Scathach is gone. Blazing across the arena Sanary's way to deliver a heavy sideswipe to her midsection.
Sanary Rondel      Wait. Was Scathach /complimenting/ her now? That was... Actually completely unexpected. Queen-like, even, by Nero's use of the word. Good thing Sanary decided not to run her mouth off earlier, or otherwise she'd feel pretty bad about it by now.

"All of 'em... Heh. Got it!" Another lie. Instead of mental anguish, she can focus on feeling bad about the physical issues. Her spirit is strong as ever, but the wounds are mounting, and it's clear that the speed difference is never going to work in Sanary's favor. No, she needs to play to her strengths! With that suggestion of ingenuity, though, more questions start to pop up in the healer's mind.

For example, what kind of thing could she even be... Ingenuisy about? She's already tried weathering attacks with healing magic to return them just as hard. She's already tried focusing on supporting others. What other new things does she even have? Touta's moves are too fast for her to mimic, 17's blasts and Lyria's magic are too fancy for her to really understand yet/ever, and Seifer and Cu...

Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to learn the spear some day. Or a gunblade, if she could ever get her hands on one again. Maybe some kind of latent teleporting technique she could only learn by watching Scathach not be where she was seconds ago? Also, where did Scathach go?

Next to her already, it seems! Clenching her teeth and focusing magic into herself to weather the blow, the healer eats that swipe hard and can feel her flesh rending painfully from the strike. At that range, though, there's only one thing she can do:

Swing her axe again. And again. And again. That was the bulk of Heracles' attack style last time, so why can't she do it just as well? Instead of just swinging wildly like she normally does, however, she opts for something slightly more strategic: A brief feint from the left, then a flurry of strikes aimed low to try throwing the Warrior Queen off at the last moment. It's not her mightiest of attacks by far, but it's a work in progress!
Cu Chulainn For a human being, without any superhumanity, Seifer is impressive. As he meets every strike, skull-crushing force impacting against his blade, both Cu's respect for and his wanting to crush the blonde go way up. As he indicates he's not going to hold back, so Cu Chulainn prepares to block and dodge. He's got to be really careful about whatever Seifer has.

And then, there's that sensation, as he cries out something that sounds like a sure-kill move. The sensation ripples through Cu's body. He doesn't try to run away. He doesn't try to block. It'll be futile. The power of Gae Bolg always hits.

But from experience, it doesn't always kill. Cu shifts his body as the blade meets it, making sure that the strike, which strikes true, doesn't strike his heart. It slashes through his right shoulder, severing something as the spear arm goes slack, forcing Cu to shift the spear entirely to his left hand. As the blood starts to dye his bodysuit red, Cu Chulainn moves to strike back. He can't safely use his Noble PHantasm, not with how Felt has no Command Seals. But he can still use the power of Gae Bolg to amazing potential.

Gae Bolg starts to surge with burning red energy. It's like the activation of his Noble Phantasm, except not as potent - blistering energy surrounds the spearhead, tangible enough to hurt, empowering Cu Chulainn's blows. He moves to do the flurry again, but this time, putting more effort behind every single strike, overexerting himself again. He's not going to be able to fight much longer...but if he can severely damage Seifer, his pride will remain intact even if he's defeated.

And if he's killed, well, this is a fight that's worth it. It's one that's taught him something new. Not that he wants to be killed, but hey, it's not the worst way to go.
Android 17     Well, that was something Seventeen needed to know...if she had a range option, and he found out quickly

THIS time, however, Seventeen was more ready for this, once more the barrier pushes the spears back, but the advantage is on his side, as he rolls with the blow, instead of trying to challenge them directly. The blades scratch the Android, instead of getting a more telling blow, as he continues his flight, this time dropping down, and hitting the ground below. Both hands come up this time, deciding to keep things at a distance, while others engage her in melee. There is no clear advantage for him to fight her where she is stronger, so he decides to fight her where she is not.

    Which is to his advantage.

The strike this time is not a ball, but a wave of energy, a beam fired from the hands, with that same electrical feel to them. This time he focuses on trying to break through her defenses, it might be cliche, but sometimes overwhelming force can work for your advantage.

"HAAAAAA!" he shouts, as the ground trembles at the force of the energy he puts behind it.
Seifer Almasy      That's a thing.

     That's definitely a thing.

Seifer can't block that head-on. His stupid trick is great, but Cu Chulainn has an overwhelmingly larger strength, and Gae Bolg is a magic weapon, and Seifer can't just parry and reverse everything. Even as he starts doing so, even as the tip of Hyperion starts turning aside the spear again, Seifer can tell that he can't keep this up. Cu's pushing him back. Little by little, each impact is pushing him back. Little by little, each hit is damaging his footing.

Little by little, he starts missing the tip. He's still blocking, but it's less clean, less effortless, less perfect. Scraping blades and pushed-aside shoves and more and more Seifer has to work for it, more and more Cu puts him on the defensive as Cu draws the last of his mana and puts all his strength into the fight. Seifer is pushed back, back, back, each step a gulf, each step a potential trip into death. He's living on the edge as the turned-aside Gae Bolg becomes something he has to struggle against, as the turned-aside flurry becomes a rain of indomitable, dangerous, lethal blows and he has to start *dodging*, his head moving back and forth. Seifer's good; Seifer's *beyond* good, *stupid* good, *disgusting* good, *divine* good - but he's still a human being, and that's still a Noble Phantasm, and even with his boost from Gilgamesh being Junctioned to him, he's not matching that head on.

So Seifer does the only thing available to him.

     He finds the gap.

Or, rather, he makes the gap.

Seifer grabs the spear. His free hand - the hand he's had free the entire fight, the hand that's been hanging at his side - goes to grab the spear and stop it in its tracks. He doesn't expect to hold onto it - Cu will free himself from it in no time, with no effort whatsoever - but he needs to still it and shock the Lancer-class Servant for all of an instant.

Long enough to close the gap and slash one more time, and damn the consequences when he lets go.
Cu Chulainn Cu Chulainn pushes in against Seifer, powerful blows striking against Hyperion, but he's also exhausting. His wounds are getting to him, and he's over-exerting himself from how much he wants to win this. So when Seifer makes the gap, stopping the spear with his hand, and slashes Cu, two things are going to happen.

One, when Seifer lets go, the spear's probably going to hit him. Cu's still pushing and forcing it forward, trying to stab into him. But more importantly, two, Cu is slashed into again, aggravating some of his wounds. Cu takes a step back afterwards, panting. He wants to keep fighting. But he knows, immensely, that doing so would kill him. But he doesn't care. He's a warrior of Ulster, right? Someone who doesn't back down?

And then, he remembers. Felt's somewhere in the audience. Felt's watching. And if he dies, Felt loses a partner. After Felt made that big showing to him before, Cu Chulainn can't do that to him. It'd be unfair, and disloyal. So, he does the only thing he can do: he surrenders. Pointing the tip of his spear into the ground and resting again it, Cu Chulainn shouts out.

"I can't fight no more. He wins!" After whatever the crowd says, Cu Chulainn turns to Seifer. "Seifer, right? You've got real skill. Hero's skill. I underestimated you at first, thought you were just some hotshot human wielding a weird weapon. And for that, I gotta say sorry. Good luck with your dream."

"And /next time/ we fight, I'm gonna kick your ass."
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason says "Most people don't think the ground can turn on them."

She notes she also gets the feeling she's getting a lesson here too she will make note of it and look there are more spears heading her way. This will be bad, she raises the earth to act as a barrier it does not entirely block it, but it does keep it from being anything other than a flesh wound at the very least, still painful, but not as bad as it might be. She now thinks there's no real source of water she can make use of here, so rather than go for earth again?

She'll leap upon one of the earth constructs she's made, and then just throw what seems to be some sort of sphere at the Queen of Shadow.

Just what is it? A powerful sonic grenade it's not very pleasant worse it's using some pop ban bankrolled by the Mursaame Record Lable to boot. Weaponized Jpop more or less.
Seifer Almasy      Damn the consequences /means/ damn the consequences. Seifer takes the blade right across the face, a sharp cut that digs into his cheek and draws blood. He's about to make a second strike-

-and Cu Chulainn surrenders. Seifer puts on a wry, somewhat smug, smirk, his usual facial expression, the blood rolling down his face. "You're pretty good yourself. That's right. Seifer Almasy. Remember it, Cu Chulainn. 'cause next time we fight, it's gonna be just the same."

Seifer turns and points Hyperion at Nero. "HEY!"

     "I WIN!"

"And this win is dedicated to my wife, the Fox-Eared Caster. You hear that, 'Your Highness'? I'm expectin' a victory token to present to her, so hurry up an' get a nice ribbon or somethin' pretty for me to tie in her hair, huh?"

Seifer finally takes out a potion from his inventory and heals himself, closing the wound on his cheek with a tossed green bottle. He wipes the blood off his face. His bad mood is *completely* gone now.
Touta Konoe      Scathach applauds their ingenuity yet...Touta's swept off his feet. It's much less of an assault than he's received previously from the last few strikes. Though the moment he's on the ground he knows that she's quick enough to probably put a spear through his head. That doesn't happen though... Infact, Scathach leaves her back to him as she heads assaults the others. Lances laucnh towards 17 and Lyria, and a blazing charge towards Sanary.

Perhaps there was no meaning in that decision. Maybe it was a miscalculation? Or perhaps a feint? Or maybe...She just wasn't as impressed with him as she was saying.

     "Grasp the earth..."

Whatever it was didn't change what he intended to do. If she had forgotten him, he would remind her. If she was luring him in he would take the bait. If she had lost interest in his abilities, then he'd make sure to leave a lasting impression with his next hit.

Just as Scathach had blazed towards Sanary, the ground around Touta crumbles away as he shoots towards Scathach.

Sanary is the first to take back an offensive with her flurry of feints and strikes to catch Scathach off guard. Android 17's wave has enough power behind it to shatter through her defenses, Lyria's grenade that not just blows up people but eardrums, he knows these last few attacks will be the closer. This last attack could end her...For good.

As the blast from the sonic grenade booms, removing any sound that might have hinted at Touta's strike he appears from the blind spot that she had left when she turned her back to him. A voice attempts to shout out loud enough so that the one being attacked, the one's fighting on the other side of the colosseum, the people in the stands, and so the emperor and her praetor could hear him.

     "FIVE-HUNDRED THOUSAND FOLD!!!"

His sword attempts to slam into Scathach's midsection with enough force to knock her entirely off her feet. But even with all that force behind it, his blade wouldn't cut through.
Nero      Nero and Hakuno, who have been watching this battle the entire time, rapt with attention. And then, finally, one half of the battle comes to a close as Cu announces his forfeit. "Well! It seems that we have a winner in the battle between Cu Chulainn and Seifer Almasy!" She thrusts an arm out, gesturing to the white coated man. "And our winner issss.... SEIFER ALMASY!" Immediately, the crowd erupts into raucous, roaring cheers. "HOWEVER! This battle has not yet ended! The Queen of Shadows still faces off against the rest of our heroes! Let us watch and see just where they will go from here!"

And then Seifer might notice Hakuno smiling down at him, even if Nero's brow is twitching at his demands. It's the Master that speaks. "Congratulations for your win, Seifer" She raises a hand, and a holo panel forms before her.

A few buttons are pressed and then suddenly, a cluster of voxels form before Caster's knight, detailing into the shape of a medal attached to a red and yellow ribbon. The medal is designed so that it looks like a sword crested by twin wreathes. And on the back, words are engraved; 'Winner in Round Two of the Nero Festival. Seifer Almasy.'. It's just going to float there in front of him until he takes it.

Meanwhile down below, the second battle continues. Scathach's words only serve push her opponents to fight harder and smarter, and as a teacher, she can't help but feel proud of them for applying their tactics. First is Sanary, actually bothering to do more than swing her axe around like some sort of Heracles-lite. The feints are anticipated, but nonetheless some of those strikes pass her defense and leave cuts across her body.

"Applying feints and aiming to anticipate your opponents reactions. Good." But not enough to down her. The Servant sidesteps the next swing and vaults some ways away, just in time for 17 to launch a wave of energy at her. "I... see! Using this range to your advantage and keeping me... pinned down!" Both spears are crossed over, force extended to reduce the brunt of the damage as that energy washes over her. In the end, Scathach is left smoking, but very much still standing.

... Then, a spherical object rolls her way and she glances down. She wastes no time and immediately leaping away as it explodes into a wave of horrid sound. Is that some kind of music!? It's so shrill! The unconventional weapon turns to to be... exactly the opening that Touta neded to get in and swing that five hundred fold weighted blade right at her. Scathach responds by stabbing her spears down into the ground vertically, just as the blade makes contact, and shockingly, those weapons don't immediately shatter.

Scathach is lifted right off of her feet, and tossed acrossed the arena from the force of the blow. But she turns in midair, backflipping and landing into a skidding crouch as she stops completely. "......"

After a long moment of silence, the warrior queen stands back up and shrugs. "I think that I have seen all that I wished to here." She looks over at Nero and Hakuno. "I also concede this match. These children have won."

The arena is silent. Nero is silent. Hakuno is silent.

Nero sweeps her arm out over to the four. "AND OUR HEROES HAVE WON COMPLETELY!"
Seifer Almasy      Seifer takes the medal and winks at Hakuno, his wry smirk turning into a wry grin. He raises it up over his head as his victory's announced. He's not a *complete* asshole; he's only rubbing it in Nero's face a little bit.

When the other team beats Scathach, he's cheering right along with the crowd. Yeah, that's a /good/ feeling. That's a /good/ feeling.

     Much better than Berserker.
Android 17     Seventeen, hurting a bit from that fight still, rubs his right shoulder.

"Yeah, that was fun." He says, looking towards his partners with a nod. "Good improvisation and team work." He comments, before looking back to the lady of shadows.

"I take exception to that, I am not a child.."

    "I'm Seventeen."
Sanary Rondel      With the battle ended and victory declared, Sanary is in something of a state of utter confusion. She... She should be pleased about this, right? Their opponents ended the fight this time around, and they won, but...

... But dammit, everyone else had flashy moves and cool moments to shine! Sanary had her healing going around to help weather all those strikes for herself and Touta, sure, but there was no big flashy attack to match 17s, Lyria's, and especially not those of Cu or Seifer! She's actually looking somewhat frustrated with herself even as she approaches Scathach with a previously seen gleam in her eye, forcing that irritation away by the time she finally speaks up again.

"S... Scathach, right? You busy after this?" It didn't work on Heracles, but maybe... Just maybe, this time will work!

It's totally not going to work.
Nero      Scathach is already walking away into the opposite exit of the colosseum when Sanary asks that question.

Looks like senpai is still not going to notice you
Touta Konoe     And with Scathach conceding, it is a complete victory in the most literal sense. Seifer single-handedly defeating Cu Chulain, and the combined efforts of Android 17, Lyria, Sanary, and Touta forcing a surrender. To all those in the stands it seems to be a glorious win. In fact, if anyone looks like they won the day it was probably Touta. While he was completely dishoveled, his clothes torn to bits at this point, there wasn't a literal scratch on him now. He looked like he walked away from that fight without a scratch now that the dust had settled.

Though, if anyone asked he was pretty sure that if wasn't for his healing he probably would have been one of the first ones to taken out of this fight.

So as the applause continues Touta briefly waves to the crowds. He gives a brief wave back to the emperor and praetor though unlike the beginning of this event there's much less enthusiasm as there was in the beginning. He looks back to 17 the moment he calls them out.

"Thanks, though you were really putting in the work from start to finish. You gotta tell me how you did all that later. Like what was tha-"

The boy stops mid-sentence as he sees Sanary attempt to talk to Scathach...And then get ignored?

     "HEY!!!!!"

While he had been trying to play off, he was a bit annoyed. Usually he wouldn't have said anything. He probably would have just smiling and going about his business but when he sees Sanary who had been working so hard have her voice falter as Scathach turned away, Touta ends up standing in the between Scathach and the exit all of a sudden.

"Hey, I was okay with it when Heracles left without a word, but you're gonna leave Sanary hanging after she...After all of us fought so hard? You get bored with us already or something...?"

Who would imagine it would be Touta complaining when the dust settled. But he had a reason to, at least in his mind. Scathach had wanted them all to show their prowess. To reach greater heights, or that's the way it seemed. Throughout the fight she was truly encouraging them to show more of what they had. Taking in every detail of their actions. But now that fight was over she was gonna ignore them?

Though besides being slightly disappointed that Scathach was leaving without a word all of a sudden he was more upset about something else. He's pretty sure she held back...She never says it, but when she leaves out of the blue without even acknowledging Sanary it felt like after everything they had done she wasn't satisfied still. That whatever she was hoping for out of their group, even if she surrendered she didn't get it. Which if that was the case he wanted to hear it from the woman herself.
Nero      Scathach stares down at Touta and quirks a brow. "I didn't come here to kill all of you." A faint little smile forms on her face. "I came here to fight an exhibition match. Nothing more, nothing less." Those two spears of hers disperse and the black clad woman continues forward at that, "What that girl wants from me is not something I feel inclined to provide any further than the bounds of this match. And now that it is over, so too has my tutelage."

And she's off again. "You have bested me and earned a glorious victory. Be sure to savor it, boy." Then, Scathach is gone.
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason finds the battle is over now as they have pulled off a victory somehow she looks to Scarthach and her allies. She grins and get sa goofy grin n her face.

"You fight like a Dragoon. Very well fought. You'd have sunk me if this was a one on one duel."

That is a hugh compliment given the regard the Dragoons are held in on her world. She seems pretty happy and she looks to 17, Touta, Seifer and Sanary. "So how about some food on me?"
Touta Konoe      As she leaves he can't really say he's completely pleased with her answer. On one hand, he's glad that she didn't just flat out ignore them on the other hand it feels sorta disappointing she just came to fight an exhibition match and not win it. Though when he thinks what might have happened if she went full force against them...A question arises whether they would have made it out even if Seifer had decided to tag in.
