Old American Sub Pen

The good news was the Sub Pen's Nuclear Submarines were all accounted for in either the Alliance's or the Empire's Navy, but there was the issue of radioactive contamination there.

There were thankfully no automated defences and The soldiers under Colonel Heller's command had secured the cite all of them were clad in Hazmat Armour though save some of the full con cyborgs who were far bulkier and armoured looking than Kotone ever was.

The entrance to the underground complex had Kotone by the entrance her jacks plugged into it as she moved to crack the door codes and get in, the massive doors ground open after an eternity of being closed and the smell of seawater and stagnant air wafted out for anyone who was able to smell things.

"So now we're in and have no idea what's causing the mess if I can get into the remains of the network I can get us a current map."
Orchid      Nuclear-armed Submarines were first developed in the cold war, in the ice-cold logical madness that was Mutually Assured Destruction. Given that one might want such crafts submerged for long periods of time, or at least cruising far from any disclosed location, Nucular-Power was one of the attractive options for such. No exhaust, compact fuel, and with the lack of good oversight, costs weren't an issue.

At least, that's Orchid's guess. The reploid has turned up without her normal hair, just a modular bare scalp on her head. She also is wearing a hat. She's got a small number of drones with her, and won't be using them much for scouting, but for laying fiber-optic cable and acting like relay stations in the cages of metal rebar within the concrete. "So our objective is to make sure the place is safe for the clean-up experts, right?" she asks, slipping a plastic bag on over her head as an extra layer against annoying contamination.
Corona Arclite And once the entrance opens far enough something larger and mechanical and not a cyborb steps through with a bit of a forward hunch to get past the hatch. A dome replacing the normal rollcage to keep the cockpit airtight was new, but otherwise the Foxtrotter was still fairly reconziable. Considering how hard the bright yellow and green Brimsteel uses for construction machinery are hard to miss. "Hope y'all don't mind Ah brought somethin' a li'l more heavy duty," Corona's equally familiar drawl crackles over the external vox emitter. "Made a few mods so she ain't gonna flood on me."

In said cockpit said vixen was settled back in the seat, chewing on the end of one of those MREs. Seriously, she doesn't know why people complain about these things, taste fine to her. But she doesn't have a particularly picky palette either.
Leyanne Leyanne crouches down near Kotone, carrying... what appears to be a modified harpoon gun from a whaling ship. One of the modifications seems to be a magazine feed, along with a few pressure tanks and a larger main air reservoir on the Martian's back. She grins "This thing should be capable of underwater operation... and Mars' has a magnetosphere you could upset by waving a magnet around so..." She grins behind her mask. Today it's the full complex filter unit.
Staren     Staren's usual armor can handle low levels of radiation fine; it's good for operating in space and the like, after all. But in a situation where he thinks he might turn a corner and come face to face with a leaky reactor? He's more wary. Plus all his stuff might get irradiated. This isn't quite as bad as the Prospekt cavern, though, so he doesn't feel the need to include a tether or a magically-shielded cyberbrain.

What everyone sees show up is a generic suit of futuristic space military armor -- it would look at home on, say, Commander Shepard's world. It's light gray and fully covers the face, using tiny cameras for vision. On its belt are a pair of miniature hydrojets for basic underwater movement, as well as an energy pistol. Slung over its back is a launcher that looks like an assault rifle with a large barrel -- missile (or rather, torpedo) racks on the shoulders and forearms complete the armament. It's also carrying a smart-material satchel that can form a water-tight seal.

It doesn't even have Staren's ears and tail, because inside is a generic synthetic body. The synthesized voice sounds just like Staren, though, and he IDs as such in all electronic communications.

Staren glances at each of the others as they come in. He's surprised to see Corona bringing her mech, but shakes his head. "Not at all. You'll probably be safer if we run into the source of the radioactivity... although I'm not sure how you'd decontaminate it. I don't know how the nanomachines they have here do it."
Reyes     Reyes has come to the submarine pen's entrance, dressed exactly as last time. His Techno-Wizard modified Northern Gun 'Explorer' Environmental Battle Armor's fully sealed, and alight with arcane energies. The myriad glyph-circuit patterns etched into the ceramic and kevlar weave glow a faint blue, powering a second superimposed layer of ornate 'medieval' armor rendered in vivid blue wireframe. The armor has been modified, with a number of small attachments mounted on the arms, legs, and flight pack - miniature propellers, also covered in the same sort of glyph-circuits that cover most of Reyes's gear. Extra canisters - presumably of oxygen - are also visible underneath his flight pack.

"Tell me if you want help with that." He remarks to Kotone, seeing her endeavor to hack the door.

He COULD step in and flex his Telemechanics. But there's no rush, and mundane methods conserve valuable brainpower. Literally in this case.

But Kotone wants some extra protection. And so he opens a pouch on his belt, and pulls out something that almost looks like an energy gun... or maybe a holoprojector? It 'fires something' anyways, this strange gadget covered in symbols, and with a few gems tucked into its 'barrel.'

Reyes begins to softly chant something, but his helmet muffles the words. It's not as if he's speaking very loudly. It's slow going indeed, but blueish energies gather, coaelscing into the weapon's barrel until they shine. The process takes about thirty seconds - FAR too long for any competent mage to be proud of.

And yet... once it's done, the funky gadget emits a BEAM that scans up and down Kotone, painting a similar super-imposed suit of 'holo-armor' around her. It's not quite as bright and 'solid', but it's there.
Zwei     Someone nobody asked and nobody invited shows up, because they always show up unasked for and uninvited. Given the cramped indoor nature of a nuclear era submarine pen, meant to be space and material efficient (no point in making something secretive big and impressive), it's only one half of them for now. Fitting 12 feet of something through a 6 foot doorframe is just inconvenient enough.

<<"You guys really do look *strange* when compensating for that terror of clicks on a Geiger counter, you know that? Why is it that you're so much more careful when dealing with something that could just give you cancer, as opposed that could blow your head off?">> Weiss, the humanoid-framed unit, appears in a static flash of blueshifted light and subtle crackle of separating air, already strutting into the dark corridor. She's taken no pains to pretend to be anyone actually human, despite keeping the rippling nickel-coloured hair attached.

She waves her hand limply over her shoulder as she heads in, shooing off any intervention. <<"Don't be a bunch of babies. Really. Or maybe do? If you want to sit outside, that's fine by me~">> A powerful floodlight just kind of 'happens' around her, illuminating the interior up to the next hard turn or split. Already she has her sensor suite running at high sensitivity, reading for emissions of hard radiation, and then directly turning down whatever path it most strongly emanates from.
Reyes     The sudden interjection of a COMPLETE UNKNOWN triggers a small bit of panic from Reyes. A belt pouch opens and a silvery revolver flies up into his hand as he spins around. He doesn't RAISE the weapon, but in all of that flying around Weiss'll have no trouble spotting the array of different-colored gems set into the strange spinning apparatus that replaces a revolver's typical cylinder. A blue opal's locked into place for now. Much of the rest of the rainbow's represented in that weapon, though.

"I use this armor for EVERYTHING, thanks. ... Who the heck are you?" He seems NONE too pleased at the insults being hurled, and MULTIPLE kinds of distressed by her presence.

"Pointer for the future. Do NOT sneak up, unannounced, on a bunch of operatives like this. Someone who's trigger happy might blow your head off by accident in a panic."
Kotone Yamakawa The Sub Pen was built into the island going underground with the actual docking point entrance for the subs extending out into the Ocean, so they'd never have to surface exposed outside of the base itself. Which was a defensive tactic at least on the intent of the designers of the base in question. Kotone would look to Leyanne for a moment with a look on her face that is amused.

"Right hopefully we won't find a nest of the things from the water plant here."

She looks to Reyes

"Thank you."

She notes as he casts the spell on Kotone it's an interesting thing and she looks at it.

"That's pretty impressive."

She'd have used her ARMED suit but it might be too big and it was not rated for underwater operations.

With the magic in place she's good.

"I did get some information from the Commandos, they unaware of anyone from their division getting into the base so hopefully we'll not have anyone home. As for the cleanup, The alliance has been making nice to Japan over it, and honestly, I suspect they might use it to get a foothold here but hey they don't charge money for the clean up only that the site is secure and their workers are protected. They made a hell of a lot of diplomatic gains with that tactic."

She also makes note of Staren's condition for a moment and smirks.

"You know I used a shell like that once."

Corona's mech has got a look from a few of the Alliance troops and most to seem curious about it.

The now magically armoured Kotone is ready to go in and she'd not expected one of Zwei's remote units being Weiss to show up.

A the recovery Command Center. Colonel Heller is opening a bottle of strong booze and taking a glass he knows of Zwei their power and reputation, after all, he's going to need a good drink.

Kotone just about jumps out of her shell at the arrival when all is said an done. She regains her composure.

"Weiss hello, didn't expect to see you this way."

Kotone will turn and head in as the floor light lights up the path there are some old crates rotted out and an old Hummer near the door which might be salvaged for later the base is quiet save for the sound of water.

Deeper in the party would find not damage from battle but from flooding the upper level is clear but the further they go they might spot some still blinking warning lights about sub-levels being flooded.

<<Right Orchid we need to find the source it could be fuel for the subs, old munitions, or power plants a lot of records were lost when American fractured. Get in find out what it is if we can deal with it do so and if we're lucky to do some basic repairs to make access easier.>>

There are several offices they pass which still have intact terminals some appearing to be in low power mode there's also a creeking coming from further down the hallway and one might find an old guard post at a cargo elevator.
Zwei     <<"Exodus Class Armiger Unit, designation: Zwei; Aussterben Initiative tier Lambent.">> Weiss answers almost offhandedly, or as offhanded as someone can be when they have a voice that brings to mind the unsettling image of coming home and starting up one's answering machine, only for the pre-recorded message to sound just irregular and knows-something-you-don't enough to fear that someone is really on the other end, listening and imitating.

<<"I didn't *sneak up*; your reflexes are slow and your primate brain fight or flight instinct kicked in faster than your frontal lobe could check it. That's totally normal.">> Wandering in completely unshielded, wearing nothing more than some slick carbon-shaded and amber trimmed open jacket and high boots setup should already be blatantly clear that Weiss is artificial anyways. <<"And here's *your* pointer for the future~ If I thought you were capable of damaging either one of me, I would have avoided triggering it. Try not to throw threats around when you don't have the balls to go through with them on anything but red anger or blind panic.">>

Weiss' tone abruptly shifts from the elevator recording lady gleefully making thinly veiled insinuations at a schizophrenic rider stuck in the shaft to that of a warmer version of Siri for Kotone. <<"Hey Kotone~! Glad to see you're still alive. Seems like the whole Flotilla gang has been doing well.">> She talks as she walks, but she's also multi-tasking in other ways, charting out and following the highest concentrations of beta and gamma radiation to its source, updating Kotone's and Staren's tactical maps without their permission or a hail request, and zero interface jacking the terminals as she struts past them, causing the monitors to eerily wink on and the OS to boot up in her presence. While Weiss walks around in the real, the rest of Zwei is dedicating a process fork to blitz through the records, looking for submarine arrival and exit logs, names and classes of docked vessels, inventory of material and equipment on base --that sort of thing.
Corona Arclite While Orchid is scouting ahead with her drones Corona trudges her punk-mech over to inspect the humvee and crumbling containers. Best to make sure there's not anything volatile left lying around up here, even if it's not part of the radiation problem. Besides, with the Foxtrotter she can actually pick up the Humvee and move it somewhere else out of the way so it can be collected and salvaged later, without trying to actually get it fueled up first. You know how much of a gas hog those things are? It's astounding they ever made a civilian version!
Staren     Staren just tilts his head at Kotone's comment on his shell, not replying. He watches Reyes cast the spell with interest. "Armor of Ithan? No, it took a long time to cast... something more powerful?" he wonders.

And then, Zwei! He replies to her over the radio, but when Reyes pulls his gun, Staren turns to face them both: "Reyes, this is Zwei. She's..." There's a long pause as he considers and dismisses phrases like 'harmless' and 'not malicious'. "...Probably not going to backstab us. ...If anything she might take the source of radiation off our hands."

Staren walks on into the base. There's some manner of futuristic radiation detector attached to his armor, so he can at least play 'hot and cold' with the mysterious source.

Hey, offices with computers! And it looks like there's still power. He tests what happens if he wakes up the computer -- but he expects to have to pull a drive and connect them to an ecto or something if he wants to recover any records. If they're encrypted, he'll have to hand it off to Zwei and see if she can crack it.

--He gets one step into the offices before all the computers suddenly reboot. It takes a few seconds before he realizes what just happened, and then he leaves the offices to Zwei as he heads on into the base, following the radiation.
Leyanne Leyanne turns her head to follow the two as they approach, and even with her face completely hidden it's somehow obvious that she's glaring at them.

THen she turns to follow Kotone, sweeping around with her big ol' harpoon gun, scanning around for anything that might cause trouble.
Orchid      "Weiss? Nice to meet you," Orchid says to the frame. "Maybe we'll get a chance to know each other better later."

Okay, into the breach. Orchid is maintaining a map, comparing it to any maps on record. She's specifically analysising the hydraulics here; she's not the only hacker on this team. So. Where is the water coming from? And where could the water be moved to. "Trying to understand this place..." Orchid replies to Kotone, a little distracted. The good news is that her tac-map is current, and even shows 'easiest ways out' for each team member.
Reyes     "It's nothing too powerful." Reyes admits. UNcomfortably adding, "I just stink at casting spells like this. Armor of Ithan. Swim as a Fish. Protection from Energy."

He then does something rather weird while Weiss goes on her arrogant spiel. He reaches a hand up to the center-top of his visor and presses a few fingers against it. This... accomplishes absolutely nothing.

As usual, he's fairly glad to be wearing a fully-covering helmet that keeps his expressions to himself.

"... Fine, whatever." He can't actually pin down sources of radiation directly, only infer it as his suit's geiger counter increases...

So far it seems he's not willing to introduce hismelf formally to Weiss. Such is the outcome of a bad first impression, it seems.

Walking into the base, Reyes sidelines into one of the offices and stretches a hand out towards a terminal, focusing his telemechanical talents...

He's intent on 'downloading' a map of the facility and other useful information if he can.
Kotone Yamakawa << I see you busy too. Most of us have turned out pretty well though a few have had to return home to other matters going on there.>>

She notes to Weiss she's glad to see her old friend is doing well as well. She's keeping alert on things as they go she politely does not stir the pot further as she's got her mission to focus on for the moment right? She'll head deep in making for the cargo elevator to get a look at it.

While Weiss able to know one it's with in safe levels on the surface level but a but higher than normal the levels get stronger the deeper into the base. Until one would hit the level of what would be the resupply bays for the subs which used to go there it looks like the source of the radiation is down there.

Kotone had experimenter with other shell types and does have a few spare bodies or even purpose made ones. Zwei's hunt for information would find all arrivals and departures of the subs would end more than fifteen years ago which would line up with when the base was abandoned. The sub classes are all fast attack subs which were for ship hunting or nuclear missile submarines. Some general utility craft and a rescue sub as well which seems to be still docked there.

The Material section will give some interesting things through a prototype nuclear sub reactor for one and several new marks of nuclear missile warhead had been delivered just a few days before the buyout of the American Navy Personel.

THe Humvee is indeed in repairable shape there's still gas in the tank the cargo pallets are some uniforms, office supplies, and bathroom supplies of all things, also two crates of standard rifle ammo as well which are still used in this time period.

Staren meanwhile gets a look. Though one of the computers Staren might notice doesn't seem to be networked there could be somewhere there for Staren if he wants to take a look at it.

Kotone I thankful for the overwatch Leyanne is giving her while she works and soon she gets it up and running which it sputters to life and gives off this horrible screech as the lift comes back up awaiting new passenger and Kotone moves to get on to it.

Between Orchid and Reyes they are able to get their hands on a current map which is the result of Orchid's word and Reyes pulls up a full map of the old base almost all the levels below the third are at least partially flooded there seem to be systems to pump it out but someone's going to have to manually do that.

THe lift will decend down into the lower levels, the option it will get them to the third level where the flooding is ntoicable and the rad levels are now getting to be dangerous...
Corona Arclite The Foxtrotter squats down so Corona can actually look inside the cab of the Humvee. "Huh." Well that will make it easier for the soldiers to move later. But for right now she'll conserve the gas that is in the tank still by picking the entire truck up and carrying it over to the entrance. The soldiers can take it from there, figure out if it needs to be decontaminated or not.

With that in place Corona tromps back over to join the others and the lifts. "What'd we find out? Anything ya actually need an engineer for yer or all you computer nerds got it covered yet?" she jokes.
Zwei     <<"According to the inventory logs, this place should still have a nuclear reactor-equipped submarine and multiple nuclear missile platforms still docked. Left here after a hostile military-economic acquisition. How sloppy! They're all prototypes too! At least send deniable black assets to steal it back you ancient American idiots!">> Weiss laments in an incongruously 'chipper' tone, going off what is verifiably on the monitors without reading them. She leaves the cracked content wide open for Staren and Reyes to read for themselves.

<<"It's been long enough for warhead material decay to start kicking in, but there should be enough to be salvageable still. No biggie. I just wish this place wasn't so cramped.">> she continues. Taking one look at the lift, Weiss' eyes track all the way back to the floor, consulting the schematic map for an instant. <<"See you there I guess? If you don't bug out.">> Weiss then warps out in another crackle of static, this time deep red.

Her destination is straight to the pump station, even if that means appearing completely under a ton of radioactive water. She's not exactly an aquatic unit, but it's not like she can drown, or would short out, and especially not suffer cell damage. If it's all manual cranks and the like, she'll just brute force it with disgusting levels of superhuman strength, forcing anything rusted or decayed no matter how loud it screeches.
Orchid      Orchid isn't getting a good impression of Weiss, if we're being honest, but Orchid is also a diplomat. In any case, Orchid is going to see about where the pumps would do something about the water levels. "Hmmm. I think I know where the radiation is coming from. Let me unleash some drones." The drones Orchid drops into the water are basic fish-types. Deflated blowfish, actually. She instructs them to scout out that third level. "Doesn't look like any active dangers yet," she comments. "Doesn't look like much that needs to be killed."
Staren     Staren's letting people who can hack get the computer data faster -- he's heading on to scout out the radiation. Although Weiss can probably do THAT better too. Heck, she could probably solo whatever this mission is, but someone needs to keep an eye on her.

<"You're kidding. You don't just 'forget' you left nuclear missiles in your house when you sell it!">

Staren groans as she just teleports on. He's left to take the lift down to the third level and head out, following the old map of the base. He makes his way through the flooded areas towards the docks.

<"...Do you think maybe the records are lying, and there's something else here they can't write down? But what could be so bad that claiming you left /nuclear missiles/ by accident isn't even worse...?">
Zwei     <<"It's more likely that the facility suddenly didn't belong to them before they could pull any of the assets out. They didn't want to alert the acquirer to the fact they'd just bought a nuclear arsenal, so they pretended it didn't exist, rather leaving it to rot than allowing it to falling into someone's hands.">> Weiss radios to Staren. <<"Post-capitalist warfare is weird.">>
Reyes     Seeing Weiss vanish from his tacnet connection, Reyes quietly swears. This situation is already hella dangerous and now there's a rogue quantity like this mysterious Zwei-Weiss girl in the conundrum. Hhe's very unhappy about this. Who is she, how did she know the op was happening, WHY is nobody else alarmed at her attitude?

Try as he might, he's unable to reach any answers from just deep thinking.

Still, now armed with a map of the base, he heads for one of the lifts and aims for the submarine-dock levels, flooded or not. His suit can handle being submerged. Even if he has to rough and tough his way through flooded infrastructure or cut through some walls with brute force...
Kotone Yamakawa The Foxtrotter is able to get a good look at the Hummvee which they can pick up later but it will need some repairs clearly.

Kotone is just waiting as the lift descend and Weiss share what she's uncovered.

She looks at Weiss for a moment.

"Old America fell apart, and ya the Empire Empire is like that."

Kotone comment she doesn't seem too fond of the Empire form her tone.

"Lovely, old American nukes the Colonel will likely pay a bonus for the recovery of anything like that. At the very least."

There's a high chance Zwei might run off with it, but right now a firefight before they even get a look at it isn't the best idea in the world.

Then Weiss just chose to go another way down to the pumps and will get to work the good news it the American made this system with the idea it might be flooded. Thankfully, it's still operational there's manual cranks and the like and in place and still working. Zwei will have to through the crust that formed on manual systems. After all, it's been underwater for a fairly long time. Given her strength though? It won't take too long to get the pumps working. Once they are pumping out water, they won't get all section of the base due to the damage but it will remove a good portion of it. Though the sub docks are still partially flooded here.

Orchid gets her drones up and going and will the most dangerous things she'll see are some predatory fish and a few Octopus. One of which is living in a US Marine helmet and swats at her drone till it goes away. She will find the water levels are lowering though and the third level is traversable even if they have to swim it. Kotone seems ready to at this point.

<<I really need to get more water mods with how I change abut with the fleet.>>

Kotone notes as she gets ready to descend.

<<Nukes are not quite as effective as they used to be and are you paying attention? America collapsed around this time so anything is possible. Weiss has a good point about what might have happened. The break of America was somewhat ugly and chaotic.>>

Kotone has concerns but she's worked with Zwei before and against her, she gives Reyes a look. Before she'll drop into the water, the click click click of the Geiger counter she has can be her as she descends. Now turning on her lights even as the water is being pumped out and she's going to make with it to head for the sub-deck. Getting through the other floors shouldn't be much of a trouble and by the time most of the party would get down there? The pumps would be starting to clear that floor and it's a mess. There is a non-combat rescue cub in a dry dock it's covered in sea growth. Yet not so much that it hints at the fact? The deck may not have been flooded as long as the base has been left to rot. Still the reaction is comming from here coming from a sealed seeming armoury well it was sealed. However something broke some part of it and that's why the radiation is getting out, though there's some good goop and what might be the remains of /eggs/ near the entry where to where the warheads and likely reactor are...

"...what the hell?."

Is Kotone's reply as in the now waist deep water she'll move to pull a weapon from her matter manipulator and press forward.
Staren     A bonus for recovery of nukes? "What's he gonna pay that's worth more than taking them? Zwei's going to take them. I'd do the same if I had a ready way to transport them." Staren admits, as they make elevator conversation like they're waiting for the next level to load.

"I could make you something like this." Staren gestures at the hydrojets on his belt. "Only good for basic movement and helping offset the weight of your shell and armor, though. Not great for underwater combat. We could probably get you some kind of mermaid cell, or a ... what are they called, Cetus? Those robots designed for exploring Europa."

As they head out into the dock, the water is pumping away. <"Do we need to be worried about any radioactive stuff in this water getting pumped out to sea?"> Staren comments.

The armory's been broken into? But then shouldn't the nukes be gone? Eggs? "What the hell... some kind of radioactivity-eating multiverse monsters, maybe?" Staren draws his laser pistol as he approaches the hole. Before getting TOO close though, he stops to deploy a drone, trying to maneuver a hand-sized quadrotor through the breach.
Zwei     Standing completely underwater, trudging through the sea pressure and irradiation at a languid pace, Weiss hums to herself over the shriek of crusty but reliable metal being forced to work, flicking the water out of her hair as it descends past her neck, entirely hydrophobic as her frame is. <<"I assume none of you are going to be swimming in getups like those, so, you're welcome~">> she radios. <<"That, and if the nuclear chambers just flood the instant we crack them open, it'll completely destroy anything useful.">>

By the time arrivals get to the docking deck, Weiss is of course already there, being pretty much everywhere today due to her particular design involving extreme ease of infiltration and acquisition. The decaying warheads actually aren't Zwei's first concern however. Weiss is quick to locate the submarine mounted with the prototype reactor, and breaking into the abandoned vessel, scanning and recording the specifics of its power grid, before . . .

Cutting the main power and plugging into it, actually. Not literally; no amount of cabling would drain the full energy density of the running reactor in anything less than several years; that's how they're designed on purpose. There's only so much electricity that can be discharged through it via normal means. Instead, she breaches the reactor shielding --cutting it open if necessary-- to get into wireless power transmission range, and uses her *own* laser system to force the reaction manually, standing just outside the superheated core chamber and slurping up the megawatts pumping out of it with wave capture.

<<Ahhhh, that feels nice.>>
||The bulk of the material will likely require being transported out manually. There is not enough time to consume the entire energy density of that much raw fissile before cleanup teams sortie.||
<<True, but charging up to nominal levels for the time being is a worthwhile indulgence. I guess this is what it's like for humans with a strong cup of coffee in the morning.>>
Corona Arclite There's a lot of things down here, a lot of junk that might or might not be usable still....

But it's all ignored for the sight of BROKEN EGGS OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN amongst the debris.

"I don't think this is gonna be as simple as we though," Corona drawls as she flicks a switch, which makes one of Foxtrotter's claw-hands reconfigure to expose a weapon barrel.

The humvee will have to wait until later to finish salvaging. Things might get ugly now. Eggs + Radiation is NEVER a good combination.
Reyes     Reyes has a wear of wearing his emotions in the way he walks when joining with Kotone. If he had pockets his hands would be in them. As it is, his motions are tense and his head tilted slightly forward in what might be an angry manner. But he's quiet for the moment, utterly focused on the matter at hand...

Finally, he and Kotone disembark into a half-flooded waist level... well... mess.

Which leads him to amble towards the only vehicle that seems out of place, the miniature rescue submarine. He gets near it and puts a hand out onto the hull.... hoping it might have records of where it came from. Or perhaps can at least infer what company made it? By checking out its sub-systems and whatever computers it has on-board.
Orchid      Orchid isn't going to get in a fight with her ostensible allies. What she is going to do is try to see what could have come out of those eggs. "Given that they left eggs, it'd be more likely to be a reptile; sea creature eggs are much thinner. Right?" Well, it at least makes sense.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone is a Citizen o the Alliance so that's where she'd swing it would be logical she'd not want to say the Empire of America getting their hands on them She's also a Paladin and the alliance did call for help while on a wide scale. She'll take a look at the eggs. Weiss is already here and that's something Kotone is used to. From her past operating with them when she was in the Flotilla actively. Weiss doesn't have too much much trouble getting into the reactor she's able to get into range to well just drain the reactor like a cup of coffee the spike in rads is brief as she cleans up eating a good deal of the radioactive material like Kotone might down coffee in the morning before she was a cyborg. Staren Confess he'd take the nukes too if he could.

The Sub Reyes scans would get some information one it's might need external repairs but it was sealed so it's pretty much good salvage, it's a non-combat vessel for one designed to rescue the crews of subs lost deep under the ocean really. He will also find that it was made by a company called Neptune Technologies which operate out of this particular Island chain. Later searching would reveal they are still in business and might be interested in the sub.

The eggs the eggs are an issue, and yes something did get into the armoury and those who were at the water plant recovery? Might recall the strange alien creature that had turned that site into a nest. The eggs do resemble some that had been seen at the plant during the reclaiming? These things seem to have been here at one point but now are gone. There could very well be an ecological problem from these quite hostile invasive creatures. Zwei has managed to drain the sub of power and walk off with all it's fuel as a very nice little prize for themselves while further inspection would show whatever laid the eggs has ripped the contents of the armour apart including the tactical nukes. Though closer inspection would reveal one nuke was at least missing entirely and not accounted for...
Staren     When there seem to be no... creatures still here, Staren moves on in, pistol at the ready.
