Bedivere     The reports coming in the aftermath of the battle with a revived Vortigern are all kinds of confusing. Grail fragments and magical weapons and a certain je ne sais quois have infected the countryside. Like glitter, you can try to remove and mitigate what you see, but there'll forever be more waiting to surprise you when you least expect it.

There are two chief concerns for those who are here to investigate, scavenge, or what have you: the matter of the giant and the matter of the knights. The giant is rumored to be anywhere from twelve to 200 feet tall. The footprints that can be found point closer to the former, though. Either way, giants are things from the age of myth and should not be walking the world today. The knights are more of a confusing point. After all, Camelot exists, knights exist. Why should they matter? But these knights refuse to answer to their identities and have only been identified by those who see them by the color of their armor and heraldry, save the White Knight, who has according to one report identified himself with the name of Lucius. Whoever he is. The Black, Red, and Green Knights remain a mystery.

With these matters known or at least knowable to those who visit, we have a situation on our hands: There's been a thundercrack and a golden shimmering shot fired off on the horizon, presumably from something big and heavy left behind by Gilgamesh in the battle, and whether you want it, you want to put it in a museum, or something else, someone firing it means that's where the action is going to be.
Staren     Staren totally forgot that Gilgamesh threw those weapons and left them lying around, in the heat of the moment. Naturally, now that he's been reminded of them, they're all gone. Damn. There's nothing here but the footprints of his own mecha, and possibly not even those anymore.

While he's investigating the area where Vortigern's castle used to be, looking for stray artifacts... and then something happens. That sure seems worth looking into! Staren reaches into his bag, pulls out... a broom, of all things, and flies over that way!
Orchid      There's a lot you can tell about a person from their footprints. So Orchid, out here to help survey the damage (and maybe pocket one of those weapons should she get the chance) has an idea of how tall this giant is, and roughly how much they weigh. She has a swarm of 20 drones out already, fliers with cameras, and is making her way to the sound of the thunder crack via ride chaser, leaving off more conventional searching for the moment. Her drones follow, spreading out and up, sacrificing detail for range. On the other hand, it makes her more apparent.
Rhongomyniad     The King of Knights is present.

Astride her armored charger Dun Stallion is a figure in ornate plate armor, a great white fur mantle hanging about her shoulders. One hand on the reins, the other firmly holds the Divine Lance with its point raised skyward, wrapped in those braided metal bands. Her distinctive lion-headed helm is also in place. This obscures the actual target of her gaze, only the direction being clear, as the visor swivels across the great valleys carved into the Welsh landscape by Vortigern's own defiant resistance to the will of the Tower that Shines at the End of the World.

    "...Mm."

Something clearly magical goes off in the distance, drawing Rhongomyniad's attention towards it. Her gaze shifts slightly more, as Staren takes to the sky in that direction. She brings her horse about, building up magic beneath and below her mount, "Come, Dun Stallion."

There's no warning, but the horse is used to this-- the mana detonates in a directed burst, hurling rider and charger into a leap many times further than should be possible.
Tomoe Tomoe has heard about the battle second hand, still, the idea magical things littering the region caught her attention. Tomoe had also heard of the knights as well and so she was flying high in the skies over the countryside looking for a place to get started.

She'd taken notice of Orchid and banks down towards he the Salamander has bright see through red wings which she has no trouble using at all.

"So your here looking too, huh? Mind if I join you Orchid?"

Though the two make quite the pair given Tomoe's a bit over six and a hald feet tall when she's in full kit like this. She also seem to be just enjoying flying along too at the moment.
Bedivere     Orchid's drones do pick up one useful bit of detail. The giant's footprints are of inconsistent sizes. At one point they belong to a hundred foot behemoth, and then within a few paces they're down to the size of something more akin to the height of two-dozen feet. It's a clue that helps inform what happens next: Those who are flying (which, apparently, is most present, counting Staren, Rhongomyniad, and Tomoe) get a good view of an enormous giant just erupting from the treeline outside of a shanty-village, roaring challenge to the heavens and slamming his gleaming sword down toward the village in a way that collapses several of the nearby huts with a dull boom.

Of interest, a golden cannon that probably belonged on the walls of Babylon has been uprooted by the slam attack, ending up firing another shot directly at the ground as it has left the hands of whoever fired it in the first place.
Enkidu Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's...

...no, the first one was right.

There's a pretty big bird flying up high, meandering in the general direction of the shot. It's notable for three reasons that most people still don't actually notice, because humans don't look up. Those reasons are thus:

REASON THE FIRST: It's extremely green, and extremely, perfectly symmetrical.
REASON THE SECOND: It's enormous.
REASON THE THIRD: It's heavily armed.

The bird is carrying a frankly unreasonably fancy halberd in one talon, and what looks like a brace of knives in the other. It doesn't seem particularly bothered by the weight and bulk, nor the presence of some kind of golden sunfucker cannon or whatever it is has been unearthed, given it's flying right towards it.

The bird soars over the giant. Giants are cool and all, but it's not really why it's here. But maybe it can just...
Orchid      Well, this suggests two ideas to Orchid: either the giant is changing sizes, or there are multiple giants. Her drones getting a sight of the giant doing the roaring and the cannon going off... "That thing can't be left out here," she muses. "Hey Tomoe, I'd be glad for the backup, something odd is going on," she greets her friend. Also flying horse, flying green bird, and... is that someone flying on a broom? "I hope the big guy is also feeling reasonable," she muses. She does pay attention to the well armed bird; such being more common in her world than most versions of earth.
Rhongomyniad     "Halt," Rhongomyniad commands. Dun Stallion responds by hiking his legs up and then thrusting them down. Horse and rider promptly descend from their parabolic arc at a much faster than intended rate, striking the ground amidst the trees and springing forth with another burst of magic. She lifts the Divine Lance.

In response, a castle turret erupts from the ground, and upon this the goddess and charger land. Neatly framed at the top, Rhongomyniad turns just slightly to show herself and her mount in profile, standing at eye level to the revealed giant.

"You do not belong in the World of Men. There will be no pain if you return to the Other Side willingly. If you do not voluntarily depart, you will be ejected forcibly by the Tower that Shines at the Edge of the World."

This is what she is for, after all. Her helmet lifts slightly to take in the great, heavily armed green bird soaring overhead, then returns to the centerpiece of the current disturbance. Although from here, she can better take in the damage carved into the land by the Vile King, there is a more pressing matter here.
Staren     Well, there sure is a fight between a giant and someone with a canon! The question is: is there even a right side and a wrong side here? Can't assume someone's evil just because they're giant, after all.

Staren flies over the town, making sure to stay out of the giant's reach, and turns up his speakers to max. "HEY! WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?"
Mercy      Mercy makes a lot of trips to the world that is the Metastasis Earth. She has, after all, at least one friend (...?), one project backer (...??), one tour guide (.... ???), and a King (two), that she is friendly with. That means that she does generally start packing up to come help out when things go down, like, say, giants.

"A size-changing giant, eh... that sounds exactly like something that shouldn't happen, because it kind of defeats the point of it being a 'giant', wouldn't you think?" The blonde wonders out loud as she drifts out of What Is Definitely Enkidu As A Bird And Not A Green Chickens way.

"Hi, Staren." She sidecomms, floating there.

? - Enkidu / ?? - Gilgamesh
??? - Lancelot / King - Rhon (Gilgamesh)
Bedivere     If the Giant is aware of most of the newcomers he doesn't let it show, but a gleaming tower and a kingly response? That gets his attention. The tower is at eye level and soon the giant's sword is levelled toward the King. "ARTHURRRR!" He roars. "You're the reason I'm not there right now!" In a display of surprising articulation for the type of creature you're lead to expect. "THIS! IS YOUR FAULT!" He is evidently not in the reasoning mood because that sword gets raised overhead in an attempt to cleave that tower in two.

Meanwhile, at the village, scattered and panicked survivors glance up in confusion and, yes, terror at the sudden interrogation from above as they bolt in every direction, some grabbing their livelihoods and loved ones, others simply getting away as fast as they can. A man in gleaming knight's armor jumps to the top of one of the buildings, which shudders nearly caves in just from his added weight. "Giants and Men are not the best at negotiating with each other," booms his voice up to Staren and Mercy. "I tried, but panic overtook them. I hope it's not too late to end this without further bloodshed." Even so the man in the gleaming helm looks toward the tower just in time to see the sword fall toward it.
Staren     "Do you know this giant?" Staren calls to Rhongomyniad. Then to the giant: "So, does that mean you want to go back? If not, what else do you intend to do?"

He's sure the king of lions can handle a giant swinging a sword at her.
Rhongomyniad     Rhongomyniad tenses. Dun Stallion mimics it, and when the sword comes swinging down, both horse and rider hurl sidelong from a burst of magic. Dun Stallion thrusts his feet out, catching dirt and grass just so and skidding to a halt on a treeless hilltop. The sword carves into the tower she'd left behind, cleaving through stone due to weight and strength, and causing the structure to collapse in on itself.

The Divine Lance is lifted, pointed to the sky once more, "If it is my doing, than permit me to right it without causing further harm." The Lance's metal braiding loosens, that divine light shining through the gaps this creates, "There is no reason for needless bloodshed, Good Sir."

It's impossible to tell where she's looking, but she does indeed lay eyes on that helmeted knight in the shanty town. This does not appear to be one of hers. And yet, who should it be? Her attention returns to the giant himself. If the violence continues, she's already given him a second chance.
Tomoe Tomoe is keeping with Orchid for the moment and then she sees she stares for a moment at the huge giant yelling at the heavens.

"That... would be a world boss."

Tomoe says without thinking much about it certain old habits die hard, it's also heading to a small town.

"It's headed right for the village. Glad to have some back up on this... and that's a strange bird."

She takes note of the bird and some of the other flyers as well.

"You try talking but be quick about it we don't have much time. Also, that's one odd bird."

Says the pointy-eared winged amazon of a woman.

She will now banks in she takes note of Mercy as well?? Hot damn she'll need to talk to her later she also notices Starn but it seems like she's going to be having to move in on the giant.

She will see the King of Camelot is here too and she will move in she has an idea of where this is going she does not move to attack.

"No your not too late sir, and we may need all the help we can get if this goes south."

Tomoe's armour is bereft of Heraldry and marking gave for a several of stylized Crusader crosses on the breastplate, belt and gauntlets.
Mercy      "Staren, what are you here for?"

Mercy inquires from where she floats closer to the knight she is unfamiliar with - Bedivere. "Excuse me, sir, but my good King would like to inquire as to why you are here, and who you are." A pause, then she shifts her head. "Did someone just say they were Tomoe?"
Staren     "What do you mean what am I here for?" Staren asks Mercy. "There's reports of a giant and a bunch of loose magical artifacts. People could get hurt! And maybe I could find ways to help people with those artifacts.
Orchid      "I guess an alternate solution, like moving the giant to somewhere else, isn't in the cards," Orchid says as she pulls the hover-cycle to a stop. There are a number of people here, so Orchid is focusing her attention on the town and the cannon. Is there someone controlling the cannon? Are there people that need to be gotten out of danger? Are there any more weapons evident?
Bedivere     The Giant growls with anger as the blade merely cleaves into a tower, no King. He yanks it free of the stone it's embedded within carelessly, glancing to and fro in his fury until he once again settles on Rhongomyniad. "You're proven incapable. You cannot defend Britain, you brought disaster to it!" He takes a step to the side, smashing another shanty underfoot as he does, lining up with Rhongomyniad's new position. "And now this land is beset by scavenging insects and magical blight, it falls to me to protect her! I AM GOGMAGOG!" He doesn't make an attack though, seemingly temporarily interested in browbeating what he takes to be Arthur.

"Ah. Call me Lucius, gentle folk. I am actually on a mission not dissimilar to our giant foe's, to defend this land. Unfortunately the scavengers are in much the same situation so we had a falling out, and now it's become a mess." He jumps down, grabbing an abandoned motorcycle amongst the shanties that begins to glow and gleam with armor plating. "I'll do my best, I promise you this, to sort it out. Britain only needs one defender but here we have three."

Orchid's concerns are complicated by the debris of the fight. It takes a moment to even find the cannon. On closer inspection it's some kind of heavy ballista, more like a slingshot than a cannon but its arms are folded in against it. It's landed adjacent to the crater it left on that last shot, a gleaming golden sword embedded in solid rock. No, it's not /that/ sword in the stone, for one thing the slab of rock seems to have cracked in half from the impact.
Enkidu The Bird Formerly Known As Enkidu flaps its wings, and then descends towards the ground. It glides on down, passes the cloven tower, and, on the far side, a green-haired figure in plain white drops the last few feet to the ground. It's carrying the weapons in a bundle under one arm now that there's a lack of talons.

Enkidu looks up and around, briefly touching his eyes on each of the gathered Elites. He approaches the White Knight instead. "Excuse me -- did you see where the weapon went?" Soft-voiced, polite, and apparently a servant or something collecting discarded weapons. Lowercase-S servant. Enkidu doesn't 'feel' quite like that, even if the aura of the human-shaped mass of clay is... slightly unsettling.

A moment later, Enkidu looks away, across the shanty-town. "Oh. There it is." He hops-to. Which is to say, he hops to it, clearing great bounds in easy strides. He's bee-lining for the cannon and the sword. Judging by the other obvious artifacts, he's intending to walk off with them.

The giant appears to be, as far as Enkidu is concerned, Someone Else's Problem.
Orchid      Orchid is eyerolling a little at this argument. Why would an island be limited to just one protector? One ruler, maybe, but the mark of a ruler is that they are followed. For her part, she's going over to the Ballista. She'll make sure it's pointed at nothing important, and see about disarming it, so it doesn't go off accidentally again.

Once that's done... she'll start taking it apart, to see how it works. She's got the tools in her bracer to do the job, and it could be interesting.
Staren     "So... aside from the giant's beef with Arturia, we're all working to protect the people, huh?" Staren rubs the side of his helmet. "Well... Nice to meet you, Lucious. I think Britain can have lots of protectors, after all, it's full of people to protect!" He glances over to where Enkidu is grabbing the cannon. Drat. Well, he doesn't really want to FIGHT over it...
Rhongomyniad     "I see," Rhongomyniad states in that even tone of hers, as the giant Gogmagog introduces himself. "These are turbulent times, but make no mistake-- Britain is well cared for by the Knights of Camelot." The Divine Lance is lifted overhead, its metal straps unfurling and dissolving to expose the Lance's shining core.

"Your concern is appreciated. I shall task you with the important duty of ensuring that threats from the Other Side of the World such as Vortigern do not again pass the boundary. As Britain's greatest guardian, this important task can fall only to you, Sir Gogmagog."

Did she just try to Tom Sawyer it? The even, serious tone of the King's voice makes it unclear. However, what is clear is the castle gatehouse rising behind her, formed from immaculate shining white stone. The drawbridge descends, and what lies behind is merely a shining light. As it forms and opens, she speaks in a tone that conveys her Authority as a goddess of chivalry.

"A Knight Is Sworn To Valor. His Heart Knows Only Virtue. His Blade Defends The Helpless. His Might Upholds The Weak. His Word Speaks Only Truth. His Wrath Undoes The Wicked."
Enkidu Enkidu waltzes over and grabs the sword, drawing it forth from the stone and becoming the new King of Britain.

Wait. No. He's just got a sword now.

Enkidu turns to regard Orchid, who is going at the cannon with a zeal Enkidu most commonly attributes to mad priests. "I need that intact, please," Enkidu says. "I want to return it to my friend. It's his." The clay doll's voice becomes curious. "Are you experienced with the workings of artifact weapons?"
Bedivere     Lucius glances up to Staren as the motorcycle starts, evidently a bit thoughtful. "You're not wrong, but that's just the trouble. Nobody is wrong, but neither do they agree. I can't say I agree with either of these two and that. . . is a problem." He guns the motorcycle, which takes off at supernatural speeds. He stops in his tracks as the shining gatehouse rises, as if bewildered or amazed, before turning back around to Staren. "I need your help. Can you get me on that radio you've been using? I have a theory."

Meanwhile at the cannon-ballista, it's evident this is in fact a magical artillery piece, but the sword is the real work of art. At least, Enkidu can discern that the sword is from Gilgamesh's treasury and the cannon is decidedly not. It's something more recent. It is sealed and resistant to deconstruction - after all it survived enough kinetic force to launch it into the sky, but Orchid is able to at least get a sense of how it works, a spiralling groove on the inner lining that the bands are wrapped tighter and tighter by as it corkscrews, able to impart a vicious spin on anything it fires.

The giant's glare falters, seemingly at first with confusion, then a headache. One hand raises to his head. "What- are you say-ING!?" He growls, and then his growl is suddenly in duplicate as his head divides like cellular mitosis, a two-headed giant, one head with black hair the other red, both of them still unfriendly.
Tomoe Tomoe looks to Mercy "Aye I am her, wait?! Mercy? Did you get my message? Though I think now isn't quite the time for that as important as it might be."

The idea of getting punted or steppe don by a roaving raid boss is not high on her list to get. The name takes her a moment to click it was obscure to her but what wasn't that a giant of British Folk-Lore? He also speaks of guarding the British Isles as well.

"My family came from the British Isles a long time ago couldn't there be the need for more than one protector given the current state of affairs?"

So far it's not turning into a fight.

It seems the Once and Future King has similar ideas to Tomoe's right? She does not think things are going to be a fight at least right now she does take note of something she'll start towards it and knee down and there's a paled look on her face.

"I think I found the person who fired the Ballistic but ... we're going to need a hose to wash em up..."

There could be more magical weapons about too which she really should help recover them. Even if they are wasted rotting in Gill's toy vault? Better than they be out in the hands of people causing trouble with them.
Orchid      "Are you sure about that?" Orchid asks, looking over the device, only briefly looking up to politely greed the other artificial creature. "Hello again Enkidu. Anyway, I'd like to learn how it works, and taking it apart seems to be the best way to do that." Okay, if it is sealed against the normal approach, she'll start tapping the device around the rivets, looking for the resonant frequencies. She's ignoring the giant for the moment.
Staren     Staren nods along as Lucius says they all have the same goal but disagree. And then a blank stare for a few seconds as Lucius asks for a radio. Staren just pulls what looks like a phone-size tablet out of his bag and hands it over. "You know how to use one of these...? For now, it's on automatic."

The giant has two heads now. Staren watches it warily. "Any idea what THAT"S about?"
Bedivere     Lucius graciously accepts the tablet, and after setting it up to talk he's driving once again. He at least intends to help, now that evacuees have mostly evac'd, and he sets off once again, this time he's gunning toward the tower Gogmagog so casually cleaved in two. Gogmagog for his part seems like he could literally be torn in two any moment. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Bedivere explains his nature as the Giant of All Legends to those listening in on the frequency, that the real defender of Britain is within the grotesque supergiant, but he doesn't have a lot of ideas on how to draw that out, other than that treating him with violence made him the brute that destroys in the first place.
Rhongomyniad     Facing down the giant Gogmagog, the Lion King does not flinch. The gate was provided as a way to cross the barrier without getting beaten over the head with the Divine Lance, after all. An offer of peaceable resolution and an offer of guardianship in a unique and qualified fashion.

The giant's response also does not make her flinch. Although as the giant becomes a two-headed giant, she simply states: "This was unexpected."

Her helmet swings sidelong to gaze towards the approaching Lucius and his metal steed, before returning to the giant before her. After a moment's thought, the Divine Lance's metal banding reappears, wrapping around it in that complex braid once more. She then turns it about and jams it into the earth beside Dun Stallion. She then reaches up, grasping her helmet with both hands and removing it in one smooth motion. This, too, is placed upon the hilt of the Lance. She shakes her head, tossing her hair slightly to loosen it before those gem-like green eyes open, lifting to behold the conflicted giant.

"Yours is a noble heart. I can see this. It is why I have not visited violence upon you." Her hand lifts and she gestures to the damaged landscape, "This land has seen enough violence. I should like there to be peace. I extend not war, but respect to you and your chivalrous intent. See through the conflict in your heart and behold the truth that stands before you. King Arthur welcomes your aid in guardianship of Britain with open arms."
Staren     So the giant becomes that which people expect of him, huh? Well, Staren's all for treating him reasonably. If Rhongomyniad's plan works, it works. Staren flies after Lucius, to within earshot of the giant. "Come on. We can all be reasonable people here. None of us have attacked you. Why not tell us about how you want to protect Britain?"
Bedivere     Gogmagog is of split minds to go along with his two heads, "No, this isn't. . ." mutters the black haired one, while the right one seems more mystified than angrily confused now, "Why don't you slay me?" He asks. One hand rises to clutch each head. "I am" "We Are" "GOGMAGOG" "GOG AND MAGOG!" There's a blinding flash and horrible spatial wrenching sound, and suddenly two somewhat smaller giants are standing where there was one, each carries its own weapon. Magog has the sword, while Gogmagog has a brutish club that looks like it was fashioned from an uprooted tree.

The one with the club speaks up: "I am Gogmagog. I slew Corineus." The sword: "I am Corineus. I slew Gogmagog." They're not just informing, they're asserting identities. "I am the son of Albion," the club-wielder proudly proclaims, "and I am the founder of Cornwall and with it the Civilization of the Angles," the swordsman proclaims, speaking of roman history. They speak of the same place but two names, themselves carrying many names and ideas. Gogmagog turns to regard Staren with a toothy grin. "I slew the interlopers who dared threaten mother's Albion." Corineus in turn adds, "And I guarded the walls when regular men failed against dragons and other impossibilities."
Enkidu "All treasures in this world belong to my friend," Enkidu says immediately and reasonably... uh... reasonable-sounding. "It might be something that did not come out of his treasury. If that's the case, I would just put it back where I found it." In the crater, one presumes.

Enkidu looks up towards Gogmagog, and then towards the King. "Are you going to kill it or not?" he calls. "Isn't that what heroes do to rampaging monsters?"

Back to Orchid. "Do you know where it came from? Is there a maker's mark on it?"
Bedivere     The ballista-cannon does have a few weaknesses, a sign it is not as worthy an artifact as the sword itself. Eventually Orchid is able to disengage the backstop from the rest of the internals, disarming the cannon but also allowing you to see inside. The maker's mark is obscure. Whoever the smith was is uncertain, but recent experience will confirm that overall they worked for Vortigern, the so-recent ravager of this land. It makes for a fitting slayer of Bretons.
Mercy      Mercy has her own phone out and is doing some wicked google-searching up in the air where she's floating like some sort of extremely hipster angel.

At least the history seems right, based on the research she's doing, even if she's very puzzled by how this is going down. It seems like there's less fighting (which is great, she loves that), and more confusion (which is a headache.)

"So... Your Majesty, what's the, uh, plan?" She asks Rhon.
Bedivere     Lucius guns the motorcycle into a gear it was definitely incapable of when he grabbed hold of it, blue-white flames emitting from his right arm and from the hidden exhaust underneath the armor plating as he suddenly leaps, slanting vertically to hit the crumbling wall of the tower with both wheels, allowing him to drive straight up it and skid to a halt on the crumbling half. "THEN DEFEND THOSE LANDS!" He calls, now that he's finally in the giant's earshot. "Be The Giant Who Defended Your Home, and let us defend ours! We are defenders neither of Albion nor England, but Britain!"
Orchid      With a grunt Orchid pulls the backstop off, actually climbing partway into it. "Maker's mark, maker's mark... 'Kilroy was here'" she reads off something inside. "No, this doesn't look like Gilgamesh's style," she reports, her voice changed oddly by the echoes. "I mean, most of his weapons are melee weapons, right? So why bother with carrying it all one way and back?"
Of course, given how distracted Orchid is, Enkidu could make off with the cannon/balista with her inside and she might not notice.
Rhongomyniad     "The plan is--" Rhongomyniad starts to respond to Mercy's question, when Lucius shouts from the top of the crumbling tower she had produced. Her eyes and then face turn in his direction, dialogue cutting off. Her expression changes just slightly as if evaluating the interloper who had vexed her so earlier in this encounter. After a moment, she returns her attention to Gog and Magog.

"Yes. If they wish to protect-- give them something to protect. This was my initial desire. Although it would seem Sir Lucius would rather then protect on this side of the Boundary, I feel their talents would be best suited on the Other Side to prevent further crossing. A proactive defense." Her eyes close thoughtfully for a moment.

"...I care not. So long as the talents of this knightly giant are put to chivalrous ends. Doctor Ziegler, what are your thoughts?"
Staren     They split in two! Staren figures one will be the monster and one the guardian, but... it's not that simple. They're both talking about mythological/historical events and they don't sound hostile. "Well..." He glances at the tower, then back at the giants. "I agree with Arturia. They want to defend Britain, and noone here has a problem with them doing so. How do they wish to do it?"
Bedivere     The Giants seem to regard this turn of events with almost. . . bemusement. "I see, little man," Gogmagog's gravelly voice rings out. "I was mistaken. This is not Albion, this is not my home. I wish. . . I wish only to return to it and protect it." He sighs, adjusting his club to rest on his shoulder.

Corineus seems a bit less certain, he still has some of the fire that was driving the original giant in him. He readies his sword again, but, seeing Gogmagog has abandoned the fight, he too sighs. "I see. Britain does not need me, but I cannot abandon England. It's clear to me it wasn't entirely your fault that things ended up like this. In my rage you seemed wholly unworthy. Maybe. . ." In unison, the Giants begin to lumber toward Rhongomyniad and the raised gate of the Tower. One holds out his hand and the knight in white jumps onto it, his motorcycle vanishing in so many particles as he allows them to carry him to where Rhongomyniad is. "Is it true the Other Side lies beyond this gate? My long lost Albion?" Gogmagog asks, eyes searching into the light uncertainly, while Corineus sets the knight in white down on the grass.
Tomoe Tomoe has left off the smear now and is searching the remains of the camp for any other weapons that might be magical if they are Gil's she intends to see they are returned otherwise she's going to turn them over to Rhongomyniad. It shouldn't take too long right even as they seem to plan out what to do with the giant, or should we say now /two/ Giants. Man, she's kinda glad she has no real myth or legend behind her like that? Then she pauses as two incident come up and she wonders about her connection to Lorderan and Afterus. That's a chilling thought to be one day summoned like a Servant.

She will halt in her search as the Giants speak of their behaviour.
Mercy      "... I believe it is a good plan, your majesty." Mercy says, honestly. "I have not ever worked very closely with a king in this type of manner, nor any knights in such a way, but if we believe they can be trusted - and I think you do trust them, in some way - then they should have a good, honorable duty, and everything will be for the better of it."

A shrug. "I... think, at least."
Rhongomyniad     "You have my word as the King of Knights. My Word Speaks Only Truth," Rhongomyniad states to the twin giants. She lifts her hand to gesture to the gate and its shining interior, "This is the access to the Other Side of the World, offered to you noble guardians as a way of peaceful passage to Albion. Courtesy of the Tower that Shines at the End of the World."

Her hands lower, gathering the reins of Dun Stallion, and the King nods gently, "It is pleasing to find we are in agreement, Sir Lucius, Doctor Ziegler. This informs me that my judgement is not compromised."

With the young knight placed near her, and Mercy already there, the King once more raises a hand in a knight's salute, "Go forth, noble giants, Gog and Magog, with the blessing of the King to protect you. Never doubt your chivalrous hearts, and rely upon the strength of your brother when the need arises. Together, you are unmatched guardians against all who would threaten from the Other Side."
Staren     It... seems that's that? Staren watches it play out.

Oh, Tomoe. Are you forgetting your legend in your own world, and in the flying castle that's now part of your world? You might be summoned one day far in the future because of that...

As for Staren... if he's summoned as a Servant, it means he died, which means he messed up. Hopefully it never happens. And if it does... he'll have to subvert the system and use it to bootstrap himself back to life. He wouldn't end up summoned in a world that didn't need fixing, after all.
Enkidu MEANWHILE OVER AT THE CANNON

Enkidu picks up the cannon.

Enkidu picks up the cannon one-handed.

It gets hoisted onto a shoulder, held balanced like a serving tray. He doesn't seem to care that Orchid is still inside of it. The bundle of other weaponry gets a loop of chain slapped around it, the dangerous artifacts neatly bundled up and ready for him to bring them... ... ...somewhere. Denmark, maybe. He hasn't really said.
Bedivere     Tomoe's search is not in vain, and there's a substantial portion left behind, even ignoring the ones actively fleeing with priceless artifacts clutched in their arms, both of weapons belonging to the Treasury of Babylon and of leftover arms and armaments from the battle with or for Vortigern. This has been a very successful salvage operation, and yet, it probably isn't even the largest or most successful of them. Just how much wreckage /has/ been left behind?

Gogmagog nods, and after a moment, so does Corineus. "I'll be going first," Gogmagog proclaims, stretching his shoulders with a creak of bone that's almost deafening at his size, and then walking through without a second glance back. Corineus though lingers a moment longer. "I will be back. I can feel it, this air is close to my home, just across the bay. I am needed here, and I will be around. But for now, I'll leave you this bit of wisdom, tiny defenders of Britain. We are not the only beings brought here by Vortigern's assault or as a result of it. Far from it. The White Knight is but one of four riders, though I know not if they work together. Embrace your friend, sympathize not with your enemy, and understand that all who wander the boundary between those are not lost as I was." He too then steps into the gate, leaving behind the aftermath.
Bedivere     The White Knight sighs with relief. "I may well have been wrong." He says after a moment, and then the helmet, a perfectly white, form-fitted helm with twin plumes of teal feathers jetting out behind it, snaps open, disengaging and fitting to his armor, the feathers forming epaulets that drape lazily across his shoulders and over his cape.

The man beneath looks pale and a little frail for a knight, but his soft blue-green eyes and platinum blonde hair are bespoke of purity. "You are not my King, but neither are you the monster I once defeated. I never thought I would be able to speak to you again. Do you remember me, Rhongomyniad? it's Bedivere," he holds out his silver arm, "If you don't, just shake my hand."
Orchid      Orchid is not likely to be summoned as a servant if she dies. She's more likely to wind up as a cyber-elf, or maybe a biometal.

That said, she doesn't notice the cannon being picked up, she's having too much fun taking it apart... Of course, by the time they get to wherever, it's not likely the cannon will be working anytime soon.
Staren     The matter of the giants settled, Staren, too, turns to salvage.

Weapons he finds are to be brought back to Concord R&D, although he's not going to seriously fight anyone over them, especially Enkidu. Or if Gilgamesh finds out and demands them back or something -- he doesn't want to start a fight with the King of Heroes, just to learn what makes these artifacts special.

Bedivere? Staren's heard that name before. He listens to the ensuing conversation through Bedivere's new radio, because he COULD just send a drone over there anyway. And who knows what he might learn?
Mercy      Mercy is in kind of awe of Rhon. It's that sort of fantasy look she never really gets as a realist who is one of the biggest pacifists to walk the Multiverse. Her wings flicker behind her as she finally lands properly, arms crossing over her armored chest.

"Finely done, Your Majesty." She looks at Lucius, tilting her head slightly to the side as she considers him ... then Enkidu, in the distance. Then she looks back at 'Lucius'. Enkidu can take care of himself. She knows where he sleeps, anyways.

     "Bedivere..." She suddenly whistles softly.
Tomoe Tomoe gets her answer Gilgamesh does not care for those weapons any longer and will put several of them into her own inventory for the moment as to better carry them out all those that are not Gils will be turned over to Rhongomyniad care likely to arm her own Knights and soldiers with as she sees fit. She will figure out what to do with these they may be best put to use by the GU or others but she'll have to figure out just /what/ weapons has she found?

She'll figure that out later Scraps form the King of Heroes' table may be quite the find for anyone who is not Gilgamesh. She will also inform The King of Cameleot of the weapons she is hanging on to for the moment.
Rhongomyniad     Rhongomyniad nods once as the giants depart, apparently satisfied, though her impassive face does little to convey this. Only once they are through does she reach down, collecting her helmet and then the Divine Lance. The helmet is dismissed in a flicker of white, and she lifts the Lance. The ground rumbles as the gate's drawbridge ratchets up, and then the entire castle gatehouse sinks back into the hilltop upon which it had been formed.

Can't just leave gates to the Other Side of the World hanging open, after all. The twins should have safely passed through by now, and so there is no danger to them.

"Were you incorrect and they were to become belligerent once more, I would merely force them through with the Lance, as I had Vortigern," the Lion King states in that even voice of hers, "This peaceful resolution satisfies me."

The White Knight reveals his face, and Rhongomyniad turns her head to behold it. She lingers for perhaps far too long. It eventually ends when she closes her eyes.

"You had perished upon returning the Sword to me. And yet you stand before me now. Behold the Lion King whose heart has been righted by your actions, Sir Bedivere," Those eyes open, fixating on Bedivere once more. While her face is still that impassive mask, there's a glittering intensity behind those faintly glowing green eyes, "Would you stand against me once more, or have you come to stand at my side as a Knight of Camelot?"
Tomoe Tomoe will be making a trip to dleiver the blades to Rhongomyniad she's hopeful maybe thee weapons will gain names of their own and become legends in their own right. She pause though as she see the knight reveal himself and she stares for a moment.

"Sir Bedivere?!"

She just about jaw drops at that, she gains control of herself shortly afte rbut it's clear that name drop has hit her like a truck.
Bedivere     Bedivere lets his prosthetic arm return to rest by his side, the holy glow from it subsiding as he lets the magic of it fade to its nominal level. "I was called here for neither of those things, and I had no intention of standing by you, but. . . What I /was/ called here for was to defend Britain as I see fit. The Britain that my heart yearns for is of course, Camelot, whose shining walls never crumble. You may not be my King, but, I think, even more than I need my King, you might just need me. So if you will have me, I will take up the mantle of Sir Bedivere once again."
Staren     Rhongomyniad calls for the weapons to be brought to Camelot; Gilgamesh says he doesn't want them.

Staren just gathers up as many as he can and tries to leave without getting into a confrontation.
Rhongomyniad     Rhongomyniad sees no reason to obstruct Staren, nor is she in a position to do so, with the personally more important matter of the White Knight before her.

"I see," she responds evenly, clearly understanding the reasoning provided, "So you have returned as a Heroic Spirit. Much the same occurred for Sir Lancelot. Sir Gawain preceded my presence."

She makes a thoughtful sound, and then nods once, "Then it shall be so. Let us ride to Camelot. The helpful young lady may require guidance to the gates." Her eyes shift to the tech-angel who's been floating near her, "Shall you accompany us as well, Doctor Ziegler?"
Bedivere     Bedivere is in a similar position to Rhongomyniad on the subject of those ransacking the goods. What can he really do to stop them, and what is the proven harm of them doing this thing? It's a headache to resolve later, now that he's. . . well, where he might belong. He does however give a hearty chuckle at Rhongomyniad's pronouncement of the contents of the court. "I see, so only the two biggest meatheads on our court have returned! Ahh, without Agravain you will be needing an advisor. There's a reason Camelot fell to pieces without him, and my only hope is that I can be a better advisor to your heart than that man is to statecraft."

Regarding Mercy directly, finally, he reaches out, taking her hand and gracefully and perfectly performing the standard knightly partial-kneel and finger-kiss. "A pleasure to meet you, in my new role as a knight rather than a wanderer. I am Sir Bedivere and you, I've gathered, are Doctor Ziegler?" He says. "If you need a ride, my new mount can seat one extra."
Mercy      "If you don't mind, I would like to see more of Camelot, as you had invited me to do so." Mercy says, inclining her head. "I believe Sir Lancelot had volunteered as my tour guide, so I can leave you two be, if necessary."
Tomoe Tomoe is going to Camelot a restored one, this sas going to be quite the experiance for her she gives Bediverse a nod and looks to Mercy for a moment then to Rhongomyniad. "All right then and thank you for the guidance it would take me a bit to find my way ther on my own."

She notes she'll flare out her wing and will fly fairly low to keep pace with everyone else as they head out.
Rhongomyniad     "Very well," Rhongomyniad nods once to Mercy. She clicks once with her tongue, and Dun Stallion starts a leisurely walk down the hillside. There's no hurry now.

She doesn't say anything about beholding Lancelot to guide the Doctor around. Because she's the one who recommended it, perhaps forgetting some important details there.
Bedivere     Bedivere turns, if anything, slightly paler at that, a little grimace passing like an ephemeral shadow over his face. "Ah, no no it will be no trouble. If anything for Lancelot's sake it may be better if I or Rhongomyniad handled it. I've lived in two Camelots and I can probably find everything in a third." He says, a touch of earnesty and urgency in his voice, already reaching out with his silver arm while the motored cuirassier materializes into his grasp.

"Sorry for my rudeness, Tomoe, I should have greeted you as well properly. Perhaps you'll give me another chance when we get there," he says, as, seeing Rhongomyniad already setting off, he settles into the driver's seat askance and elegantly helps Mercy aboard if she's so inclined before matching up to Rhongomyniad's pace.
Mercy      Mercy raises an eyebrow at Bedivere. "For his sake?" She asks, curiously. "Not mine? Her Majesty recommended this, after all."

     Poor Lancelot.
Orchid      Orchid has vanished. Her drones and her hover-cycle are still there, the drones having returned to the hover-cycle at this point.
Tomoe Tomoe smiles abck at Bedivere. "It's fine and I'll be happy to give you anotehr chance when you get there and don't worry I should be able to keep up in the air with you jut lead the way." She grins and will take flight this has been quite a day, and she now goes to Camelot!
