Lilian Rook     Warping out, it's straight away very difficult to tell where exactly on Earth anyone actually is. Ostensibly, it's some kind of countryside or another, currently under relatively fair weather given the season; snow gathered knee deep at the very bottom of hills and ravines, but light and crunching elsewhere, putting flowers of frost crystals on branches. A fast-flowing creek hasn't frozen over, narrow enough to swim, but cold and rocky enough to not want to. Heavy forestation starts at the opposite bank, oddly broken by the stream of water and narrow, rocky gulch. It's just cold enough to see one's breath, but not enough that some outdoors exercise won't stave it off.

That's not why it's hard to tell where anyone is though. That'd be because of the wriggling violet moss growing on the south side of the rocks exposed from the pale grey glow of the creek water. The fish nobody is particularly familiar with swimming around just under its surface, rubbing shoulders with minnows and frogs. It'd be the patches of thick, wet, tangled black grass that grows out of the snow on the other side of the bank and buds into pale, pulsing flowers, and the fact that the near side of the bank has been scorched clean and salted. Clusters of willow and yew trees mix with mulberry bushes and juniper vines far behind, and ahead is a dense forest of pure black leaves, winking blue lights, and translucent, branching, jelly-like shrubs.

A number of plain, aluminium finished poles have been erected at sparse lengths along the creek, mounted with solar panels, cameras, and small antennae, like weather monitoring poles, except all aimed across the water. Far, far in the distance, a handful of cheap wind turbines have been set up on a hill, otherwise the only sign of civilization anywhere around here.

There's already rustling and crunching in the heavy vegetation on the opposite bank, just organic enough to mentally expect a large wild animal, but so irregular and off-rhythm that it's hard to imagine exactly what. It's just about pitch black under the canopy, despite it not yet being sunset, so it's difficult to see beyond the glow of complex, glittering bioluminescence; it looks a little bit like staring into space outside of a city.
Zenos yae Galvus     A figure in dark armor moves slowly from the warp gate towards the edge of the city and forest. The armor is imposing, the blackened Garlean steel only interupted by the accents, the white mask across the face, and the single pearl like gem in the forehead. Along the back of the head long blonde hair falls behind him. The most notable thing about him is the strange bag on his hip, that seems to contain various blades in it. There is also the red 'skirt' that hangs around his waist, as well as the Garlean symbol along it.

The figure stands there for a moment, observing the snow. A reminder of his home, he muses to himself. Remembering the biting cold of his home, outside the large illustrious cities...a testimate to their ability to survive. However, this land was far less...tame. His eyes cut towards the water, and the observing the other side. The black leaves, the blue lights, and the jelly-like shrubs. This alien-like biosphere gains his attention.

Not that the contient he was from had odd biomes, but this was...wrong. Yes, that was a good feel for it, like the Brune. He walks across the shore where he stands, hearing the beast on the other side. Hmmm...was it just a beast? Could something from the other side give him the challenge he saught?

With a flash, he brings the blade out, swinging it in a wide arc. The swing so vicious that a arch of energy soars out, aiming to cut through trees and through the dark forest itself, aiming to peel back the cloak of his enemy so he could see it. He gives little concern if others show.

"Now, are you the challenge I seek...or another disappointment?"
Sarracenia      Through the established warp point arrives a fairly tall woman of obvious royal blood wearing a rather unique leather dress with red metal plates of armor. She has a hammer as tall as herself with a head that must be heavier than she is. Compared to her dress and the golden crown upon her head, the hammer is rather plain-looking. And...her current crown is apparently part of a pith helmet. They are on a hunt, after all.

She steps out, takes a look around, then calls out, "So, where are these monsters that must be vanquished to save the good people of this unknown world?" Is she expecting a guide to be here?

She looks over at Zenos when he slices into the trees and speaks up, then eeks and brings her hammer to bear toward him. "Have at thee, foul creature!"
Note     The gate's energies swirl and WHOOOOOSH, out flies a youth garbed in martial arts girl, hands outstretched in front superman-style, with a monkey-like tail flapping about in the wind behind her. She's wreathed in glowing energy, a translucenty-white aura that seems to melt the snow that touches it and casts a hint of warmth for anyone who gets close.

The moment she's free of the gate she swerves UPWARDS too, having learned her lesson - DO NOT STAND IN FRONT OF A WARP GATE. You never know what's gonna come out of one.

Hovering a hundred fight over it, Note surveys the scenery with a hand shading her eyes.

It's COLD here. Note's breath is visible with every exhale. "B-brrrrrrrr..." Cold, but not so cold that she can't function.

After a few moments deliberation, she reaches into her outfit, rummages... and pulls out a capsule. With a click and a *POOF* it turns into a bux. Note rummages through the box, pulls out a jacket, presses a button on the box with her tail... *POOF* it turns back into a capsule that she stuffs away.

In a few seconds, she's geared up in a red, puffy winter jacket...

And moments later, she swoops down through the air, upside-down, and performs what looks like a handstand atop of Zenos's armor-horn-protrusions!

"I -THINK- that's them. They feel REALLY weird. Don't underestimate that big one!" For the moment she's just observing the distant... THINGS with all of her senses. Which at the moment is mostly spiritual, given the situation.
Tomoe It was supposed to be a quiet night, she'd been actually back home not at Haven she'd been finishing some dealings with the government group that handled the death game back in Japan. A few questions and things like that. She'd finished up and had run into Alexis they had plans to go hit up the bar at the end of the Multiverse, then the talk of a monster hunt came up, She looked to Alexis for a moment.

Tomoe would be right out the warp gate in full gear though holding a Naginata and not a sword and shield at the moment.

"Here we go again, Alexis and seems things are getting going on the comms.

"Let's focus on the hunt."

Tomoe pauses to look at the other arrivals to assest what they can do. She knows Note's a wrecking ball, Zenos is one hell of a fight and Sarracenia is an old war vet. In terms of skills, she seems to be pleased. The Comm chatter just gets her furrow her brow.

She then will start looking the creatures have to be around here somewhere, right?

"Alexis your crew got any idea of where these things might be?"
Alexis Her hoodie got tore up in the last adventure so Alexis had to find something else to wear for protection from the elements. Almost as soon as she steps onto the snow and watchs a breath whisp frostily from her lips she's very glad she opted for the overcoat. It's not cold enough to be exceptionally uncomfortable but Alexis tugs the collar up fully to keep her neck warm all the same. At least she's got gloves in her bag if her fingers get cold.

"Well ain't this a lovely site. Remind me to fire my travel agent," she mutters sarcastically. Considering all it took was hearing something mentioned involving monsters to get her to derail from previous plans, she's got no one to blame but herself. Well and maybe her companion a little bit for not keeping her in check. But mostly herself.

Anyways, best get down to business. Especially when other people are already picking up signs of trouble. "I think we need a better view of the situation." Alexis grabs one of her pokeballs and lobs it into the air, where it opens and materializes a large raptorial bird. Falcon-like with flame patterns visible in plumage as she spreads her wings and loops back to come down and perch on Alexis' arm. With the other arm Alexis points towards the opposite bank. "Fly over the river and see if you can spot anything Windburn." The falcon clicked her beak in response, fluttered her wings and took off once more.

As the Talonflame soared overhead to make a pass of the riverbanks Alexis held her hand up to shield her eyes and watch. "No need to stray too close ourselves until we know what we're actually dealing with."

Then she glances over to Tomoe. "That's what we're trying to find out."
Gilgamesh      The King of Heroes probably shouldn't be wandering. He's expended a lot of his energy doing a stupid, dangerous thing - protecting a person he...cared?...about? It was hard to really grapple with. Since confessing his thoughts to Priscilla, he'd gotten more...erratic. He'd been *caring* about *people* who weren't himself. Granted, with Enkidu, it had been the same, but this was...this was different. This was something else, something other, something...something the King could not fully understand. Something the King simply had not been prepared for. Caring about another person was something he wasn't...well, for lack of a better word, *programmed* for. He wasn't built to acknowledge and recognize the feelings of others. Arguably, to some people, this was a flaw, but the King knew that if he took the feelings of others into account, it would only weaken his perfect governance. It would weaken his ability to be neutral, weaken his capacity for justice. If he started taking the feelings of others into account, he might slowly become imperfect. More human.

     Was that a bad thing?

He didn't know. It was exciting, not knowing. He could peek into the future, unseal his omniscience, but...no, no. That would be boring. He would savor indecision. He would delight in the turmoil in his own mind.

That's why he's out walking. To think. To savor. To enjoy.

Imagine the look of brief frustration that passes upon his face when he realizes that he's wandered through a warpgate other people are using. Imagine those red eyes knit, those perfect brows ticking together. Imagine that impossibly beautiful face in a scowl.

He contends himself with some amusement by swatting Sarra's back like she's a common tavern wench as he passes by.

He doesn't ask where he is. He doesn't ask who people are. He glances at the others before he simply waves his hand and draws forth out of absolutely nowhere a long staff with an axe-head on the end, shouldering it.

"Monsters are the responsibility of the King, after all," he says idly.
Lilian Rook     Wasting no time, Zenos wades across the creek, finding its waters strangely lukewarm for the chilling weather, uniquely unpleasant in its own right. Stepping up the opposite side, he swings his word through the trees, and the arc of energy saws through the vegetation with a racket of sound that is equal parts dry, brittle snapping, and wet, fleshy ripping, carving a wide patch of sunlight onto a forest floor now pooling with various shades of fluids, causing odd looking fungi and flowers to suddenly close up. It draws attention straight away, suddenly accelerating the crashing through the brush in his direction, until the trees bend out of the way of what comes charging through them.

Just as Note had sensed, there are four of them, as promised. They are certainly black, like a gulper eel's hide or a black river stone, but calling them beasts equally as literally would be impossible. They have torsos of some description, oriented horizontally like a dog, hourglass shaped and weirdly symmetrical from front to back. They're supported on four legs, each far too tall and with too many joints, folding back and under and over again before putting all the weight on an almost stilt-like posture, like the legs of a mosquito except heavily built and barbed, still impossible to tell the creatures' front from its back. A protrusion of what look like vertebrae stand up from their backs, with a line of pulsating lights running down them, blinking rapidly in time with an extremely fast series of constant, loud clicking sounds.

One of them lopes up to the nearest rock, clicking rapidly and huffing thick clouds of steam into the air, scraping and tapping on it with the 'knuckles' of its two-toed legs. Shaking its whole body and stomping several times with its currently forward facing limbs, like an agitated gorilla, it rears back and lets out a sound like a warning siren mixed with deep whalesong, drawing the others to it, the flashing of their dorsal lights quickening.

'The big one' is yet to be seen, but when the Talonflame takes to the air, it can see the alien black forest stretching on for ages, and too close for comfort, the shaking of treetops that comes with the passage of an elephant through the Indian jungle, slowly accelerating towards the group, somehow knowing exactly where they are from that distance and with that much cover in the way.
Lilian Rook     The smaller ones --the 'adversary-types'-- leap off the rocks and come charging in all at once, flanking Zenos, Sarracenia, Note and Tomoe on the forest-side of the creek, surrounding them like pack animals. One leaps up to the edge of a tall, slanted boulder, runs horizontally along it, and kicks off sideways through the air, twisting over like a cat to hit Note to the ground underneath a *lot* of weight; it looks almost sort of fragile, for being the size of a tiger, but must weigh more than a truck. It begins trying to viciously pulverize her under its 'knuckles', throwing its weight down on its many-jointed front legs at the pace of a machine gun.

It doesn't feel like being attacked by a predator intent on eating her, or even in defense of territory. It feels like it is trying to *murder* her. Purposefully. With intent. Eager on smashing her into red paste because it wants to. Zenos gets the same sense when one attacks him straight from the front, pouncing with its legs outstretched, which then fold out their entire 'feet' into hand-sized barbed claws, coming smashing down on him like dropped anvils, and *ridiculously* sharp; easily enough to split a man in standard steel armour into so many ribbons. It's not aiming to eat him; it's aiming to kill him without holding back.

Tomoe is attacked from behind, as the thing snaps its legs over her shoulders like a praying mantis, complete with the massive spines on the inside to puncture her all up and down her torso, and then begin shaking her like a wolf with a rabbit in its mouth. Sarracenia gets much the same treatment as Note, save that since she isn't in the air, one of its limbs shoots out, straightens to a length twice its previous, and *punches* her with its folded claws like a cannon shot, apt to launch her across the clearing and into something hard enough that she won't just go through it.

Oddly, they keep to a distance from Gilgamesh, neither ignoring him nor fleeing from him. They surround him, but stay moving in circles around him, as if the others were baby oxen that they are trying to split from their mother to carry away.
Gilgamesh      Things surround him. This is fine. Gilgamesh has been in this situation before. He shoulders the axe-staff thoughtfully, watching them move in circles. Entertaining. He could probably smash into them with the polearm, but his reach would be sorely diminished if he did that - he'd have trouble on the inside swing. So with a shrug, he lets go of the axe-staff, letting it hit the ground with a heavy *thud*.

He snaps his fingers, and a leather hilt with a dangling talisman appears behind him. Handsome fingers wrap around the blade. With no effort whatsoever, the King draws forth a massive blade, one that presses him down into the ground with a *whud*. It's long and heavy and exquisitely-carved with symbols of beautiful craftsmanship. The blade tells a story, a story in a language likely only Gilgamesh speaks, a story of a far-off peak and a giant swordsman.

Gilgamesh gives the blade an experimental swing once, twice, three times. He sets it back on his shoulders and sinks deeper into the earth, then gestures, a wry sneer on his face.

"Come along, then. You know me to be the King by your stance. Let us see if you have the courage to approach the King when he is so weighed-down! I am at a handicap, monsters; don't you wish to taste the flesh of a demigod? Of the perfect being?"

"Hmmmm? Why not come at me? What have you to lose but your lives? What have you to gain but eternity?"
Zenos yae Galvus     Zenos watches, with /interest/. He is very interested in these beasts, he has high hopes for them and their master. Oh yes...

How long has it been, the feel of a challenge excites him in a way that he can not rightfully explain. Even with the distraction of the small, angry Child, he could not have his day ruined by this. Oh no...

He waits, the swing of his blade clearing a path for them but he does not care. Even as Note treated his armor like a jungle gym. "Be ready," is the only word he gives to her...she will survive, or die, on her own merit. He was not here to play as a team, he was here to kill a monster on his own...their existance mattered little to him.

Then it came, the glorious beast only wanting to /kill/. There was excitement in his eyes, because he /knows/ the intent. He /UNDERSTANDS/ this feeling. He meets blade with claw. The two collide, as spark rings out and the two shower the area with the might of their clash. Under the mask, Zenos was smiling just a little...but this wasn't the challenge he wanted. No...

This was a promise of what was to come.

He notices the behavior too, laughing...

He considers revealing more...but no, they do not deserve /more/. He only desires to draw the larger one...to see if it can be provoked!

"Stupid beasts...you do not fear me...but you can not see the strength that lies beneath...allow me to peel back a layer for you..." And with that, there is a burst of power from Zenos, even as he clashes with the thing infront of him.

There is a wink, as he appears on the other side of the beast. His sword, flashing twice in the moment it takes someone to take a single breath, and come to slice the beast from chest to stomach. Each strike aiming to form a perfect X across the creature...

Before a single sword appeared from above, aiming to slam into the creature's head. It glowed with purple light, Electric Ether, as it burst across the remaining beasts, aiming to try and catch them in the storm.

The power of the Garlean heir exhudes...but even yet he is not fully ready to unleash it all. He walks forward, towards the oncoming creature as he speaks. "Yes! Come! Show me what the beasts of this land do! Show me the power that turns such animals from survivors...to /murderors/! Come now, /DON'T BE SHY/!"
Note     The good thing about being a martial artist of her style is that Note can SENSE these things maneuvering through the brush. While still handstanding on Zenos's helmet (weighing light as a feather to him, if he even tries to measure - she is indeed part-flying) she glances this way and that while Gilgamesh and Sarracenia enter the picture.

"Watch out hammer girl, they're getting ready to--"

That one moment of distraction to warn was enouigh, it seems. WHAM!

Note goes sailing off of Zenos yae Galvus's perch. The pair go bowling to the ground, with the thing landing atop of Note and knocking the wind right out of her.

Most people would probably have just been crushed like that, but--

But as its knuckles come down in a TITANIC SMASH, she bends and swerves this way and taht under the creature, barely avoiding getting smashed. Up until.... her own outstretched hand meets it. "Hggkhhhssssss----!"

Her arm's tresmbling with the exertion, but the girl who's about HALF THE SIZE of said tiger-monster has stopped it. "Wow...these things are DANGEROUS....!" Definitely more threatening than a horde of Grimm, so far, it would seem.

Using the advantage of being UNDER the monster though, she SWINGS her whole body around and SPRINGS up, trying to HURL the creature sideways and away as she somersaults to a landing.
Sarracenia      Gilgamesh arrives, and gives her a very low-class slap on the back. In her already agitated state she whirls with her hammer already in hand, and Gilgamesh barely avoids an actual swing from that hammer. "G-gilgamesh! You...you...are you alright?" Even in his divine beauty she notices how weakened he seems, and her hammer actually lowers a bit. But, she turns her nose up and hmphs a moment later. "Not that I care of course." she says with a haughty air despite the slight smiley smirk on her face.

Of course, any answer she might have gotten is cut off by the creatures suddenly emerging and one pouncing right at Sarracenia. She barely manages to bring her hammer around to parry the blow, and even then she is sent flying back by the hit. "Hyaaaah!" she yelps as she goes crashing through foliage and finally bounces off a very solid boulder. She groans as she gets up slowly, then hmphs. "...I suppose if my hair were a lighter shade he might have blocked it..." she mutters very quietly to herself.

She leaps forward, twirling her hammer as she flies through the air once more, and she uses all the momentum in a powerful downward swing that is sure to send a powerful shockwave outward. "Begone, or you will learn just how dangerous Princess Sarracenia can be!" she says as the recoil from her own swing and the weight of the hammer keep her held in the air like a pole vaulter. "Thank you for the warning!" Sarracenia says to Note in a sarcastic tone as she tries to pound the creature beneath her into the ground like nail.
Tomoe Then Gilgamesh shows up? Given how badly he'd been hurt or so she's heard of given he left weapons laying around all over England. She was quite not expecting to see him make an appearance here but here the King of Heroes is. She almost opens her mouth to ask about his wounds then thinks better than it. It would just cause more infighting which they didn't need more of.

Alexis gets a flyer up into the air saving her the need to act as eyes in the skies herself.

She soon has her answer of where the things are, they are right the heck here and it's time to fight, she's glad she went for Mooncutter tonight, the reach it gave her, would prove to be useful or so she thought. She sees Note is coming under attack and she'll find that she too is being lept at by some horrible bug thing get her from behind she takes some damage as the spine do in a few places get into her she'll twist aim to throw the thing off her using her own mas sand will go to town with her spear to start stabbing and hacking at it.

"We need to get back to back."

She calls out to Alexis, Note or anyone who'd listen to her. Her spear's blade glows bright red as she'll turn to start letting loose with some sort of Sword Art. She hopes to end up burning the creatures she can tag with the currently flaming spear blade.
Alexis Predatory birds were known for their sharp vision, and the pokemon equivilent was no different. Honestly the only reason no one on the ground can see -that- splitting and toppling of tress is because of distance and the lack of a vantage point overhead. The fiery raptor circled back towards the stream boundry, then swooped lower into a charging motion before pulling up and resuming her wary circling.

Vocal communication was hard at a distance so instead she was trained to use certain motions as signals, sort of like a very specific sign language.

"Something else is coming this way!" Not that they don't have their own problems, what with the smaller but equally disturbing creatures jumping part of the gathering. "Okay. I have -no- idea what these are." Definately a type of monster even an experienced creature hunter like Alexis hasn't seen before. "But." She frowns, between their actions and what Note was saying about off feelings. "They're... not predators."

"This isn't survival, this is -wanton intent to kill-."

Alexis turns her attention back towards the forest. Her bird is circling overhead still, but that's not going to be enough. She mutters as she takes stock of who she brought with her, and grabs for a different pokeball . "Keep those busy so I can get a defense ready for -that-." And throws the pokeball. "Take the field Pyroclast!"

The discharge from this one manifests itself into a large heavyset form, orange in color with broad grey hooves and a bulbous head. It resembles a camel... If a camel had a pair of minature volcano craters on it's back instead of humps. Which do indeed erupt briefly to spew some ash and smoke into the air as it bellows. "CAMERUUPT."

"Buckle down and be ready for -that-." Alexis orders, and another puff of smoke comes out, this time from the beast's nostrils as he scrapes his hooves and digs in to brace himself for... whatever comes roaring out of the forest. As he does so several chunks of rocks briefly appear, then imbed themselves into the ground again until the points barely poke out. But as soon as anything gets close to them they'll launch out to intercept it entering the fray.

"Working on it!" Alexis adds over her shoulder to Tomoe. One roadblock to cover all their proverbial backs so to speak.
Lilian Rook     The enemy wrestling with Zenos' sword really puts its back into it, shifting its stance, clenching his blade in its claws, and looking to shake and wrest it out of his grip with as much strength. It crashes to the ground from putting all that weight in when he teleports behind it, only for Zenos to find that front and back apparently don't seem to matter. It's like he's staring at the same creature from either end, and it notices him just as easily from the opposite, identical side of its body.

When he swings for its torso, it swings for him too, unfolding a leg to viciously swipe across his midsection with its hooked meat cleaver fingers in trade. His own slashes crack through its hide, spilling warm, violet blood over his boots, and the third, vertical sword cuts it in half completely. Each half then drags itself upright, and then comes after him anyways, gripping the ground as leverage and springing back at him. The lightning blasts, oddly, seem to be anticipated, as if all four of them can smell the Ether in the air. They skitter and bound through the bolts of electricity, dodging them as if forewarned.

Note puts her force into kicking her assailant away, successfully launching it through the air and off into the terrain. Just before it crashes right into the boulder though, its legs rotate a full 180 degrees, so that it hits feet first, apparently having no qualms about whether it's technically upside down or right side up, if it has such a concept at all. The stone splinters under its claws, its half dozen knees per leg soaking up all the impact, then hops back to ground, its hissing and clicking mixing together into a low posture snarl.

The one that Tomoe shakes looks skips sideways and back across the ground, zigzagging adeptly out of the reach of her naginata even while moving backwards. With the full height and flexibility of its legs, it ducks low under high slashes and leaps high over low slashes, almost slithering from side to side, like a fluid more than a creature of flesh and bone. Spotting an opening, it comes in low and effectively uppercuts her to the chin with both forelegs, hitting like a pistol shrimp this time, but then goes wheeling and bounding away when the flaming sword art catches it in return, thrashing in panic before it dives into the frigid creek to put out the fire.
Lilian Rook     The shockwave of Sarracenia's hammer hurls her assailant well away, flipping through the air several times before it crashes into the boughs of a tree, and then runs its way back down the trunk, making the galloping noises of some loping horse. Driven away from their respective marks, the two menacing Sarracenia and Note seem to be simultaneously considering Gilgamesh with their identical opposite faces, stalking and swaying side to side in the way that keeps them between the two girls and the King.

Grisly cracks flag the extension and sudden rattling of their dorsal protrusions, clattering together like chimes, all their lights pulsing brightly and quickly. One charges for Note again, going straight on, then suddenly weaving low, skidding around to her side, then 'punching' her twice, pressing forward in a leaping stomp, and then extending its leg to chase a dodge, and from its leg, folding out a massive, blade-like bone appendage the length of an arm, scything out to catch Note's legs and scissor them right off.

The other makes a feint towards Sarracenia, but then instead hunches low and *fires* something at Gilgamesh, pulverizing the dirt all around him as much as they fly true. They appear to be small flechettes of some black bone-like substance, but they come with such force that the creature skids backwards and claws forwards again from the recoil. Each one, when it impacts into something, suddenly lights blue and the *explodes* into pinpoint eruptions of intense, inscrutable energy, incinerating pockets of terrain right away. It then kicks out at Sarracenia behind it like a horse, and rockets at Gilgamesh in one ridiculous jump. Just as it does, the one now attacking Note fires its *own* exploding flechettes from its opposite end, at Gilgamesh's back if he faces the melee attacker.
Lilian Rook     That's not quite the end of it though. The rhythmic thumping of rapidly moving, extremely heavy weight grows closer and closer, until the snapping of brush starts to drown out the sounds of combat. A moment later, and the tree cover breaks to disgorge something easily larger than an Indian elephant by half its mass again. Its body is a deep, unpleasant fleshy beige colour, like sand rubbed into skin, and it carries itself on four legs almost like those of a lion, save that they are covered in huge plates of iridescent carapace that make its gigantic, taloned feet almost mechanical excavators by mass. It has a long tail of what looks like exposed spine, whipping and lashing behind it, but its front half appears to be nothing more than a gigantic, fleshy lump, shot through with blue veins, like some kind of gigantic tumour that'd swallowed any kind of head or eyes, leaving it blindly smashing through the trees.

Except it'd found them just fine.

The stealth rocks fire off all at once, smashing to pieces on its armoured forelegs, but riddling its underside with puncture wounds that ooze cold, blue blood, causing the whole thing to quiver in some ponderous, silent spasm of pain. Its claws flex and gouge a foot deep into the earth spreading its weight and lowering its posture, and then the huge mass of flesh that is its front suddenly splits open down the seams, dripping translucent liquid from layers and layers of 'leaves' within it. Half its body unfolds like a lotus, exposing interior rings of white gossamer petals, and deep within it, a radiant white figure so bright that it immediately blots out everything --even the snow around it appears dull gray next to its brilliant fulgor.

The figure is . . . beautiful. Difficult to describe. Vaguely humanoid, perhaps. Androgynous. Two deep black pools for eyes and nothing else. But beautiful all the same. The waves of light that wash off of it diffuse into all colours throughout the purest white, splitting into radial halos and stars that pulse from it in great thrumming tides. The air hums with the sound of resonating glass and tinkling silver. Even for Gilgamesh, the thing attached to the grotesque beast is of surpassing aesthetic pleasure --something that certainly doesn't belong in any society that uses things as crude as wind turbines and radios.

It is, in fact, so beautiful, that it's difficult to look away. Difficult to raise a weapon against it. Difficult to even conceive of harming it. It's the feeling of not wanting to step in pristine snow, or cut into a perfect cake, magnified a thousandfold. Where its perfect black eyes go, the unheard suggestion comes with it.

Lay down your arms. Cease fighting. There is no need to struggle and feel pain. Be at ease. Close your eyes.
Gilgamesh      Aha.

An attack from the front and behind.

This is why he did this!

The King's hand sweeps out behind him. He snags up his axe-staff and brings it swinging up into the flechettes from behind, smashing them upwards with a single, fierce blow. The one coming at him from the front receives the full brunt of his swing with the much heavier sword, bringing it down far, far faster than a normal human could ever swing - let alone hold, for that matter. The flechettes in front of him are blown away by the sheer force. A few flechettes rake across his back, explosions trying to knock him forward, but the heavy blade is *so* heavy that he doesn't actually *move* - just lurch forward. The heavy blade, meanwhile, hits the ground one way or another, splitting it open like an earthquake fissure - and ensuring that whether the creature gets hit by his blade or just lands, it's going a long, long way down, because that fissure does *not* look like it has an end.

The King stabs the heavy sword into the ground, whirling around on it like an acrobat. The axe-staff goes flying, a whistling javelin shooting towards the enemy that attacked him from behind. He lands. The weapons disappear into the Gate of Babylon. The King brushes his hair back elegantly.

He smirks at Sarracenia. "Of course I am alright. I am the King of All That Is. I am always alright."

The new arrival challenges his beauty. Challenges his mind. He can feel it pressing at him, trying to make him take orders. Unfortunately, he is Gilgamesh, King of Heroes. He has never taken orders in his life. Not even from the gods.

So bright red eyes fixate on the beautiful creature, and his sneer widens, as if to challenge beauty with beauty, enchantment with perfection.

"Mongrel, you don't even know who you're dealing with, yet you make such bold statements? I don't know whether to admire your courage or mock your stupidity!"

The King's hand goes to his head as he leans forward. "Tell me, then! Is it courage or stupidity that leads you to imagine you can give commands to the King? Is it bravery or bone-headedness? If it's bravery I might just applaud you before I cut you down! If it's boneheadedness, who knows? I might laugh so hard I forget to kill you!"
Sarracenia      Sarracenia goes into a spinning swing when Note's creature switches places with hers and feints toward her. Though her first attack misses, she spins around with a second strike...and likely accidentally boosts it toward Gilgamesh when her hammer meets its kick. "Get back here!" she exclaims as she chases after it, leaping and twirling like a top to try and pummel the back (front?) of the creature that is engaging Gilgamesh in close quarters.

The princess strikes relentlessly, hit after twirling, powerful hit. Her eyes roll at Gilgamesh's assurance that he is always alright.

Her spinning slows as the boss creature emerges. The princess may be hot-tempered, stubborn, and arrogant, but she is not all that strong of mind. She ends up staring up at the being atop the monstrous creature's back. "...oh my...who is that?" she murmurs, her hammer lowering as she slows to a stop. The princess also has a weakness for beautiful things, and so she is pretty much defenseless.
Note     The moment Note lands she deepens her stance harshly, aims a keen and critical eye towards her weird opponent... but the moment it twists its body around in wholly unnatural ways, she RECOILS BACK in abject shock, confusion, and a little horror. "L-legs don't work like that. LEGS DON'T WORK LIKE THAT!"

The fear factor of this thing just kicked up considerably.

Note backpedals, sliding back a few steps but remaining in stance while shivering a little at the uncertainty of this FREAKY creature...

Better not take chances, says her gut. "Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa---" Clenching both fists and bringing them to her waist while she faces the thing, Note focuses her energy and--

With a *KRAKA-THOOM* golden light rises from her feet upwards, engulfs her, and ignites with a grand flash that hoists, parts, and colors her hair into an array of golden spikes. Black eyes swiftly fade to a vibrant light greenish shade, and that golden light continues to blaze, ever rushing upwards about her.

As if to finalize this change, she neatly wraps her tail about her waist.

And in comes her freakish opponent. She's ready THIS time though, meeting BOTH of the punches with casual blows of her own- casual, but the air ripples and thunders from the pressure of knuckles on knuckles... and then BACKFLIPS solidly over the creature, narrowly evading the scything blade.

Right as it starts turning to fire on Gilgamesh though.. she transitions into a forward somersault spin and attempts to SLAM a heel down on top of the thing and drive it to the ground, then spring away and THEN land. "Too close... its legs are BLADES, too?!"
Zenos yae Galvus     The creature strikes at him, even when it is split in twaine. The claw digs through garlean steel, threatening to tear into Zenos himself, but the man moves just enough...conserving his energy with his movements like a trained swordsman just enough to avoid both fatal blow, and over exertion from moving too much. The claws do draw blood, but the armor is also strong. Of course, most mortal men would die from such an attack.

Zenos is grinning, however. Oh this is /FAR/ beyond what he expected. The Multiverse is a wonderful place, and he becomes more and more thankful everyday for the unification. Laughing, he starts to become excited, perhaps a bit too...manic. Even as both halfs throw themselves at him, he swings again...turning halfs into quarters, and quarter's into eigths...if necissary. The blade, finally burning with fire comes down, aiming to sear away whatever is left.

Of course, the reveal of the giant Elephant-type monster causes his eyes to look towards it. The trap set for it seemed to work, he was almost starting to become disappointed, when.../it/ happens.

Humanoid and beautiful...like a god of something...death? Destruction? Oh he could only hope. However, he starts walking towards it, some might think he is enraptured...but one would also notice that he isn't dropping his weapons. Behind the eyes of the mask, only the creature can see it. His eyes glow with a supernatural light, the pupils becoming clock-like symbols as he continues to move slowly.

"His body is covered in a strange blue aura, it wasn't there before, it's overwhelming, as the every aether around him right now is visible, all consuming pressure as he brings the blade up...and then slams it into the ground. All around him the earth trembles, striking out in a purple energy centered on him. Those too weak to resist might find themselves strugging against the might of the warrior, aiming to render the dogs and perhaps even the beutiful creature infront of him helpless. If not, it still /hurts/.

"Resist this! Resist it...and I can finally justify revealing the depths of my strength? Throw down my weapons?! Oh no...no no no! Not to you...when I finally have the perfect opponet to cut my teeth on! Fight...kill...or DIE!"
Alexis "What the--" Then even Alexis recoils a bit as the thing peels itself a part, hissing behind an arm covering her face. "--Augh! That's a visual I didn't need!" Her Camerupt looks at her a moment, then looks back, and by that point the creature has done it's transformation into something unsettlingly beautiful and seditary. Right now it's almost a shame he was bred to have Solid Rock as an ability, because Oblivious would of been a lot more handy against whatever seductive presence that thing has. When Alexis finally looks back up she just sort of stares at well, less in awe and more befuddled at where that striking imagery came from instead of the hideous thing that had been peeling apart a moment before. "Uuuh... Why would..." Alexis hisses, grabbing a temple with her head. What is this thing, some kind of psychic? Goddamnitall."

Where it's eyes go, it's disabling suggestive goes with.

Fortunately there was an ally to the group out of the line of mezmerizing sight being gazed on the others. An ally both swift and strong, that doesn't make a noise until she's already diving at the beautiful creature, screeching while lashing at the creature with talons that are, as the name Talonflame implies, coated in flames! Beauty matters not to the raptor, only that her Trainer is in potential danger if she doesn't snap out of the daze!
Tomoe This creature is proving to be a challenge, and she was honestly a challenge would be good. Shes' locked in combat with Alexis near her and it's a good time in that respect the fights with the others are still going mostly well. At least from where she can see the fight through before her is what most of her attention is on, she gets a bust to the chops which knocks her head back. She sees it's smart enough to go for the water of the creek. She doesn't chase after it, she starts to chant in Norse, golden runes dance about her body. When she finishes the spell and fires a bolt of lighting at it to make sure it's finished.

That's when the strange figure comes and she finds it suddenly hard to look away.

It's like that first cold snowy day of the winter where you open the door and see everything pristine and hate to step outside as you'll ruin it the moment you step into it.

She shakes her head for a moment she starts to lower her weapon somewhat she's clearly fighting it but is also affected, normally she'd likely be charging at the thing right now intending enage. Right now though she's taking a step cautious forward like nearing something. She takes another step starting to lower her weapons but then comes Zenos' outburst. She shakes her head a little bit. Not fully free but enough she's regained some of her wits.

"Why should we ... do that those things attacked us what do you want with us."

She's a bit behind Zenos but clearly, she's somewhat shaken some of the holds on her mind. She seems to be now be moving to do /something/.

"What are you...Get out ... of my head."

Then comes the warning over the comm and that drives her onward.
Lilian Rook     The creature that assaults Gilgamesh from the front is suddenly attacked by the Princess it'd hit-and-faded a moment prior, suddenly forced to divert course, wheel about and dodge the massive hammer. That means it is caught dead in mid-air by the unnaturally fast swing of the giant's sword, already too massive by far for Gilgamesh to be holding, but also too quick even then for him to be swinging. It is crushed instantly under the sheer weight of it, swatted out of the air and smeared into the huge fissure he opens up, along with a good portion of the brush.

The attacker focusing on Note meets her fist with swings of its own curled claws, still hitting with considerable force, but rocking back on its rear limbs from the recoil of punch meeting punch, swaying to bring its combat limbs back down on her. When she leaps over it, it suddenly rears to stand on two legs in a freakishly bipedal posture, winding up to snatch her out of the air in the mantis-like fashion one had grabbed Tomoe, only to suddenly be skewered through the back by the surprise throw from Gilgamesh's axe-staff and then blown into the dirt by a thunderous heel drop from Note, giving her the sensation of bones breaking in all the wrong places as it ends up crushed like a mangled beetle at the bottom of the crater she'd made.

The halves of the persistent foe after Zenos trade hit for a little while longer, but once split into quarters, no longer seem to be able to get up and fight --only twitch and bleed, revealing insides that are layers of membranes and webs of filaments rather than recognizable, discrete, squishy organs.

The waves of light washing off the main attraction pound against the scenery like the tides on a rock shore, infinite in number, endless in momentum, pulling the world away as they retreat and burying it as they come crashing back. Everything but the kaleidoscope of light and colour and aesthetic pleasure that satisfies some specific combination of primal brain parts in just the right way as to be overwhelming, all fades away. Gilgamesh, most used to this sort of beauty, challenges it directly, and in the subtle shifting and fluttering of its petals, he reads one thing.

Recognition. Not recognition of the King, or his kingliness, but recognition of 'Gilgamesh'. It hasn't read his mind, or anyone else's; it *knows who he is* instinctively.

The Talonflame dives from the air and slashes it with its talons by surprise, leaving thin, ink black scars across the figure's radiant white skin, marring its brilliance and lessening its glow, and in doing so, diminishing its hold. A local cataclysm of obscenely powerful aether rends at its lower body, scorching and blackening its carapace and pulling torrents of blue blood from its ugly, fleshy half. Its four lion legs scratching and scraping to hold itself upright, its two, slender humanoid arms come together to touch the fingertips of each hand to its twin, held before its chest.

All of the white light is suddenly sucked inwards, collapsing into a glittering star that is now painful to look at rather than pleasant, and then unleashed as a torrential beam of screaming white light that blasts Gilgamesh first and full on, before sweeping left to right, back and forth, to cover Zenos, Tomoe, Alexis and her Camerupt, Note, and Sarracenia. Where the beam goes, the terrain it falls on explodes into a million pieces. There's no heat or pressure or transmission of energy --where the light falls, matter is commanded to sever all molecular bonds and rejoice in becoming a towering chemical fireball, and it does so without question.
Gilgamesh      Fascinating.

Gilgamesh leans back as he notices its knowing gaze. As he takes in the flowing petals. As he realizes that it knows him.

Admittedly, that would be a lot more shocking for someone whose ego *wasn't* roughly twice the size of the Multiverse and three times as dense. For Gilgamesh this is almost matter-of-fact. About time things recognized him. He throws back his head and laughs.

     "Fuhuhahahahahahahahahaha!"

"That you recognize me is a testament to your wisdom! If you know who I am, then-"

The blast comes sweeping forwards. It's powerful and dangerous. It's going to force him to expend more of his precious mana, and there just isn't enough in the air of these worlds to make this easy for him. What a pain.

Still, it was kind of exciting, to be limited in such a way. To be fighting uphill like a commoner.

Admittedly, a commoner with enormous power, but a commoner nonetheless.

A ripple. The King snags the weapon out of the air and points it forward, a long, wicked-looking blade, a black thing with red and purple lines that pulse uncomfortably. As the blast comes to meet him, he's mouthing something - an invocation, an incantation. Swirling curses build, runes scattered in the air. The light is about to touch him when his own sword flares not with light but with darkness. Those curses fall into a single point, and then blast outwards into the stream of light, moving to part it around the King like water before a flood. It's not enough power to overwhelm the light, simply part it, a terrible, evil curse levelled from a terrible, evil sword.

Still, it's not a *counterattack*. It's just enough to keep him safe.

Instead, he barks over his shoulder at Sarracenia, "Stop staring at it and fight!"
Alexis "Fucking psychic mindgames!" Okay it's not literally psychic, but it's close enough for Alexis to get mad at, and that helps her to shrug off more of the attempt at control. Especially after her flaming falcon mars the creature's beauty. "Atta girl!" Now about the princess.

Unfortunately it was enough to also piss off the creature, and it starts sucking in light to form some sort of matter destruction beam. Alexis doesn't even get a chance to go after stopping Sarrachina before Pyroclast, also shrugging off the remaining effect once the danger is that evident, bumps into her to knock the tomboy down. Then stand over her. "Gah! What are you doin--"

The Camerupt slams his hooves into the ground causing several spires to rise up and form a wall in front of them. The destructive beam sweeps across the stones and they violently explode, the resulting blast roaring back over the pokemon as he stands protectively over his trainer. Even to a part Fire type that stings and burns, but it was favorable over Alexis getting disintergrated like some bad sci-fi cartoon so Camerupt tanks through the painful experience for her sake.

"--Oh." Alexis corrects herself as she peaks out afterwards. "Good job." Pyroclast grunted back an affirmative.

As the highly destructive beam is being swung around Windburn pulls up and rockets back into the air to stay clear. At the apex she loops over and back, reorienting on the now scarred creature, and swoops down again.

This time the Talonflame folds her wings back as she dives, building up speed to the point that the friction on the air around her ignites and surrounds the raptor in a blazing corona of fire. Like a missile the firebird screams towards the creature again, caring not that Flare Blitz will cause harm to herself as well. Something is being a threat and needs to have the shit brutally beaten out of it for doing so.

This is why you don't piss off falcons, people.
Zenos yae Galvus     Zenos laughs as the /pleasure/ from looking at it turns into agony. He can feel his body writhe in agony, the sweet kiss of it reminds him that he actually still exists...that he can feel it. Even if it's false, it is still an attack...and he can EXPERIENCE it. The laugh is not a kind one, it is...arguably not a sane one. One, perhaps, people like Gilgamesh can understand...the relief that something can actually make him work, even if just...a little.

However, his mind sharpens, like before, resilant to the mental attacks. Those who are 'chosen', and those who 'have the strength to transcend' can push passed their mental boundries. It hurts, but not enough to stop the mad Scion of the Empire from continuing. His eyes still glowing with that baleful light as the beam comes for him.

Instinctively, he knows not to touch it...at least not directly. The sword flashes, swinging a spark of energy towards it to try and defuse it. Then another, and another...swinging the quickly, that those watching might only see him swing it once. It's not completely enough, some of it gets through his assault, and crashes into his chest. The armor starts to shatter and crumble as it moves on...and his faceplate is gone. Revealing the face of the Garlean. He is beautiful, a single white pearl like gem imbeded in his forehead. His hair, golden falls across his head and shoulders. The eyes, glowing clock-like symbols for pupils now revealed to everyone as he brings the blade back...

Swords drop across the battlefield, things created out of Aether, drawing into themselves as each one launches an attack. One a wind attack to try and blast the monster away, another a rain of lightining to hurt, and one fires dividing blasts, aiming to strike it as if it were swing at it.

"Kahahahaha! Yes! YES! More!" For the moment, the prince stands, waiting for the blades to collect their Aether.

"Don't die yet...survive and see if you can survive what lives beyond strength!"
Sarracenia      While the creature was pristine it had Sarracenia firmly in its psychic grasp. But, each hit it takes that stains its appearance loosens its hold on her. Still, she is blasted back by the beam, causing her to let out a shrill cry at the feeling of something trying to simply vaporize her molecules. It leaves her skin almost as marred as the creature's, and her dress is somewhat tattered. Not to mention the worst part...her hair is so frizzy now that it looks like she has an afro!

Despite the loosened grip, it isn't until Gilgamesh looks at her and barks out his order that the hold finally breaks. With a look like the lights coming back on for her, Sarracenia blinks and gasps, then shakes her head quickly to try and clear the fog.

And that's when she notices her hair.

The shrill, piercing scream that follows is loud enough to echo through the forest and possibly hurt the ears of those nearby. "LOOK WHAT YOU DID TO MY HAIR!! Do you realize how much work goes into keeping it pristine and beautiful!!"

The now fuming princess reaches into her satchel and pulls out...a bullet nearly as big as a person with a shark face painted on it. "Take this!!" She throws the bullet upward, then goes into a quick twirl and brings her hammer around, impacting the bullet on the flat as it comes back down, and with a sound not unlike a cannon firing the Bullet Bill goes rocketing toward the creature. When it hits, the Bullet Bill explodes like a bomb!
Tomoe The fight is now underway once more as Gilgamesh comes under assault. The King of Heroes' actions buy Tomoe breathing space as she's more fighting her way through the mental fog she' found herself under and it was time to get with it she calls out on the comm to get Princess who has fallen under its sway fully the heck out of the battle site and now she'll have to trust on Alexis or someone else to do that.

Then comes some sort of reaction? She's not sure what it is but she darn well knows it's not a good thing it's not a good thing she gets on the move and will move for all she's worth as the explosions come. She's not sure how it works just so, she does, however, understand do not stand in it is a /very/ good idea and she's moving now s the chemical blasts keep coming. She pops all of her defence abilities as she moves to get a golden glow as she goes, she's going to try to get in, try to get close to the thing and use her spear on it to hack and stab it as hard as she can, there are no fancy sword arts right now as she does so, no she's trying to just get into it and get hit she also knows she can't blade dodge the death templates forever so this thing has to be in her own words burned down.

"Times up, you are going to pay for getting into our heads like that creature!"
Note     CRUNCH! Down goes the monster... but Note's whole body shudders from the WRONG-feeling impact. She doesn't like this thing. Doesn't like it WHATSOEVER. It's actually sapping her will to fight a little bit at a time...

Only the fact that there's LIVES on the line here is keeping it going now. "Grrrr..." With her opponent down... and gets a gander at what ELSE has been going on.

"IS THAT ONE STILL FIGHTING AFTER GETTING CUT IN FOUR?!" She ISN'T seeing things, right?!

This is ALL KINDS of freaky and wrong!

The moment she feels things worsening though... Note acts on fighter's instinct, and begins to focus her energy between her palms as she draws them to her side. "No time for guessing... time for the New Turtle School's... KAAAAA MEEEE HAAAA MEEEEE..."

The beam sweeps towards her, but just as it's about to reach her... it meets those samd hands, thrust forward and palms blooming open like flower petals! "HAAAAAAAAA!!!"

A torrential outpouring of her own energy slams into the beam with a shower of blue-white on what was already active. Sparks fly everywhere where the KameHameHa wave's clashing against it, forming something almost like a shield.

However, the AREA AROUND HER isn't so lucky. The beam easily hits the ground, causing it to explode instead of her flesh... but, the explosion happens right next to her anyways!

When the light finally passes.. Note's standing there, breathing hard, and covered in scorch marks, sprinkles of blood, and nasty little cuts and gashes on all of her exposed flesh. Her clothes are also torn into ibbons in plenty of places, almost threatening modesty. "No good... need a better angle to punch through that!" The area around her's a mess now though, which is why she's, on closer examination, actually hovering in place....
Lilian Rook     It seems Gilgamesh's answer is 'brave'. Or 'especially exceedingly hateful'. One or both of the two. Splitting the wave of light with the blade of curses buys him a safe island of space as curtains of fire erupt on both sides of him, closing him off from the others save by voice. That alone spurs Sarracenia into action however, and between the bullet bill and the sheer size of the stationary target, there's no way she can miss, immediately sending the creature skidding across the ground and ploughing through the remaining trees from the missile blast to its side, rending open its flesh.

The beam goes wildly spiraling off course, like a laser pointer dropped from someone's hands, scything down portions of forest and then blasting into the air. In the opening, Tomoe manages to slide right under it and begin hacking away at its mounting bodily injuries, spilling thick, cobalt blue gore all over herself as a side effect of the height difference. Blades of wind slash it out at the knees. Hails of lightning fall on its back. Chains of aether explosions flay its lower body to pieces. Summoned swords after summoned swords besiege it under a barrage of attacks more overwhelming than its own. Finally, the falcon missile explodes into its opposite side, blowing its legs out from under it and sending it crashing down onto its flank, scorched and slashed to pieces in a spreading lake of its cobalt gore. The beam sputters out completely once its clawing at the air goes still. The humanoid body slumps over, its light dimming, hands touching the ground.
Lilian Rook     Then its fingers curl into the earth, and the androgynous figure pulls itself out of the rest of its body. Wet and sticky noises follow it wresting its legs from the blossom of bleeding of flesh that had previously been part of its body, looking as if covered in saliva or translucent nectar as it gets to its feet, wobbly from disuse at first, but then straightening up to an easy eight feet tall, glowing brightly again, slender and brilliant like the view of a 'grey' in the headlights of its ship. For a minute, it looks like Zenos will get his wish, but then--

                -----[stop]-----
"Well, I was a little late, but it looks like they're okay. Doing better than I expected, actually." says Lilian, descending to the creek bank, walking a meandering path through the pillars of chemical and magical fire in mid-eruption all around her. She reaches out and pushes away a sharp stone hovering at head level, which goes spinning three feet and stops again. "Glad I didn't stop by to pick up my uniform though." she says, cracking her knuckles as she approaches the lambent giant.
                -----[start]-----

--the creature collapses with a meteoric crash that drives it twenty feet deep into the earth, letting loose a blast of wind and flying gravel in all directions. Without anyone having seen, or sensed, or felt their arrival, one additional person is present, already in the followthrough motions that suggested she'd just punched the thing in the side of the head, landing on the ground a moment later. It begins to crawl back out of the hole, climbing to its feet, and turning its black gaze, it--

                -----[stop]-----
Linian turns and skids underneath the Antengent. Bracing a foot at the lip of the crater, she swings an uppercut for its chest while it is still hunched over and within reach. Her fist connects, its flesh ripples for just an instant, and gold, circular, segmented glyphs layer her wrist, spinning rapidly clockwise as she continues to exert her force in stasis --force held in abeyance until time resumes. Forty times. Eighty times. One hundred and fifty times. Two hundred times. Three hundred times. Breathing out, she releases the glyphs, and takes a moment to let her arm relax, then swings upwards to connect again.
                -----[start]-----

--goes flying straight up into the air on the head of another rising sonic boom, launched way up into the sky on a column-shaped shockwave, the upper blow splattering its blood all around the clearing. Just as it reaches the apex of its flight, it--

                -----[stop]-----
Lilia lifts off her feet, floating upwards at pace until she reaches eye level with the flailing humanoid. Looking down, she swivels around for a good angle, then somersaults and brings her heel down for the same. Two hundred. Three hundred. Four hundred.
                -----[start]-----

--streaks right back down to earth from an instantaneous kick, leaving a white trail of vapour behind it due to its colossal speed, and strikes hard enough to cause the earth to split and rumble, boulders and trees falling into the giant fissure from before. It bursts like a water balloon on impact, painting the entire inside of the crater with its insides, firing a plume of dirt and rock into the air that takes several seconds to settle.
Lilian Rook     Lilian shows up on the edge of the crater a second later, at least obvious as the voice from the radio. It looks like she'd just left home, or just come back from shopping or something, still wearing a slim black turtleneck, leather boots and a warm skirt leggings, rather than proper equipment. She also looks maybe 17 at best, doubly unsuitable for being the kind of pretty that is 'already really pretty and then spent hours today on her appearance', with dark hair hair and green eyes she's coordinated her outfit around. The only thing, for those without supernatural senses, that sets her apart at all, is a slender, four foot sword sheathed over her back.

"Sorry for butting in right at the end, but I was worried after hearing all that on the radio. You handled yourselves pretty well though~ I have a good estimation of your abilities now, and I'm happy to say my concerns were misplaced. Since you did all the hard work, I'll take the contract money and treat you all to something nice in celebration. Your call~"
Alexis The humanoid part is.. oh dear god. Even Alexis recoils at that, hunkering back under Camerupts protective girth, he anger once again flaggared by disgust. "THAT IS JUST SICK AND WRONG!" Now what the hell is the thing going to do--

--Or not do, as a few time shift shenanigans later the remaining portion is also pummeled into visceral oblivion as Lilian makes a late Dramatic Entry.

"Well." Alexis scoots out from under the Pokemon, dusting off her overcoat as she stands up. "Glad we could soften it up for you." At this point it's just easier to take it in stride than worry about it. At least the thing was dead and deader.

With her victim gone Windburn flutters over to perch on the Camerupt's head, tucking her wings down. She can Roost here for a moment and recover some fo the strength expended in that recoil attack.
Note     Well.

    THAT happened.

Note's left ASTOUNDED when it seems like a few strange motions by Lilian-from-nowhere sends the malevolent creature rocketing up... and then back down. A move she herself would have used, had she been less focused on trying to use TECHNIQUE instead of brute force this time...

"Hooooooah... something weird about that maneuver.." But she can't put her finger on just -what- quite happened.

Up until this time, the golden aura's filled the area around her with a strange thrum-whooshing noise... but... with a *BZASH* the energy simply dissipates and all the tension in Note's body goes with it. Her hair falls back down, fading from gold to black and smoothing out once again. "Oooooof... yeah, treaty celebration sounds great right about now! Powering up to gold still wears me out like nothing else."

Although she's looking pretty tattered and torn, and unstylishly bloodied, Note folds her hands across her chest. "By the way, WHERE DO MONSTERS LIKE THESE COME FROM? They're not... right. Not right at all."
Zenos yae Galvus     Just as excitedly as he was...does his mood crashed when the creature falls over dead. He can see the traces of aether left...and the disappointment drains into the same bored expression as he had. Going from near manic to depressive in the tick of the clock. The eyes of the General closed...before opening them back up to normal colored irises. The calm, detatched look of the swordsman returns, as the aether from the various blades die down, before the swords themselves disappear. The sword in his hands moves back to his sword revolver, as the entire figure of Zenos starts to move away. His armor, still serverely damaged from the shot, and his helmet gone as he starts to walk away. Even the aura that had saturated him was gone, completely mute again as he gives Lilian a look.

"Then we can celebrate once I have had my armor repaired, and my blades looked at. I suppose you will want to explain this...and I look forward to hearing it. Until then, this excersion has perhaps lasted overlong." He says, and then simply starts walking back.
Tomoe Tomoe has been able to score some serious damage to open it up for others she will pull back as some for the bigger attacks are on the way to not get caught up in it leaping away and using her wings briefly to get some more speed away from it. It's a good thing too as one thing it's showering gore everywhere. The thing seems to be read and she lowers her weapon as she comes in for a landing taking a deep breath.

Then comes to the smackdown as the breast it just turned into a smear and Tomoe watches in a mix of awe and shock.

"That's one way to make sure it's staying down."

She pauses

"That's one way to make sure it stays dead."

She notes and then looks to Lilian as she replies.

"I won't complain about aid, I'd be a dead woman a long time ago if I didn't take it."

she leans on her spear for a moment to rest and catch her breath.
Gilgamesh      The King holds up the curse blade for a moment before discarding it back into the ripple of space that is the Gate of Babylon as Lilian takes care of the rest of the problem. The King of Heroes waves a hand dismissively at her question. "I am Gilgamesh, King of Heroes, King of Uruk and of Babylon and of Denmark, King of All That Is, Was, and Ever Shall Be. I don't need your reward money. Do what you want. I'm only here for my own entertainment."

The King slides his hands into the pockets of his flowing coat. "It was indeed entertaining, so I'll thank you for that. If you want to treat me, go ahead. I'll grant you the pleasure of spending more time with the King."
Sarracenia      Sarracenia...really isn't sure what happened. They were all beating up on the thing, the freaky creature within the creature emerged, and then...it was in a crater. And then it was somehow up there. And...

Lilian lands on the edge of the crater and Sarracenia blinks a few times. "Wh-...what did you do?" she asks, awed. She has barely experienced anything close to time freeze shenanigans, so basically to her it looks like someone just broke physics to curbstomp something.

As Zenos turns to leave, she blinks out of her awe and frowns, then quickly makes her way toward him. She places herself in front of him, and when he stops (or tries to simply ignore her and pass by) she slaps him across the face, even if he still has his helmet on. "That is for calling me a monkey and a beast who babbles incoherently." she says, then turns to make her way back toward Lilian. At least she doesn't want to kill him anymore, although perhaps he's disappointed to see that.

Sarra puts her hands on her hips and faces Lilian. "The only nice thing I require is payment for a proper spa day after this. And perhaps a new dress."
