Owner Pose
Lexicon     On the outskirts of the city of adventure there is a fortified facility. From the exterior it resembles a decorative castle, not exactly out of place in Arcade's aesthetic with all the game-influenced architecture. This place is Introversion, Arcade's quarantine site for dangerous viruses. At least it looks nice, despite its less than glamorous purpose.

"The time is now," a mechanized voice rumbles from the parking lot.

    "Okay!" A young girl's response.

A sleek black vehicle resembling a limosine emits a series of mechanical noises, then splits apart down the middle. Spines unfurl, and the entire vehicle turns itself inside-out to produce a large, black humanoid machine of spines and cyan light accents. Absent of legs, the machine produces a long-hafted hammer, planting it on the pavement below it. When it speaks, it is in a mechanized and unmistakable tone.

"I AM THE JUDGE OF DREAD. THE KEEPER OF THE LAW OF MAJIKONE." The hammer is lifted, "BY HER DECREE THIS MONUMENT OF INJUSTICE SHALL BE RAZED. ITS UNJUSTLY IMPRISONED INHABITANTS FREED."

As Keeper bellows his intent, a blonde woman in a white bodysuit crawls up his shoulder, then sits upon it, Processor units floating up around her shoulders like stubby wings.
Alea     "And this is where we keep the viruses that are ready for export to Mordion Gaol." comes Alea's words, leading her little retinue through Introversion. "These should be picked up by /her/ soon. I tend not to be around when she shows up. She's a bit frightening." Alea shakes her head as Ludare presents a disk towards Lexicon.

"This disk has our own quarantine records and procedures from a normal, level green, incident to an emergency, level red, incident. Compare at your leisure." After handing the disk over, she returns behind Alea, "Should we show them the high risk quarantine next?"

Now, the 'castle' is relatively solid, but even the extremely loud mechanized tone shakes some of the property... at least the hanging lights and Alea sighs, "Ludare, secure the compound." "On it, Lady Emerald Soul!" Alea turns to those present, "The rest of the tour is sadly, delayed, but if you're willing to help take care of this ruckus, I'll reward you handsomely!"
Theurgus     It takes a while for Theurgus to arrive, stepping off the System Bus and looking toward the quarantine facility... she can see the source of the voice from here, the sheer size of him.

There's a flare of prismatic light, and then the form of Diamond Soul launches from the terminal to approach the castle, summoning her staff midflight. <"I am in the Drive and enroute to the facility, It will take a few nanocycles."> she radios, narrowing her mismatched eyes as she closes in.
Corona Arclite Too big and too loud is about all the description Corona needed. She hopped in the cockpit, cranked the engine, and made haste for the nearest gate to make her way over to The System. We'll skip the travel transition with the haste she's making, and come right to where another truck pulls onto the lot, this one immeadiately standing out due to the front end resembling a downscaled locomotive more than an actual truck. But that's not the real interesting part, as the truck just stops at the edge of the lot and Corona climbs out of the cab and into the bed, disappearing under the tarp cast over it.

A big ol' diesel engine can be heard revving up. Exhaust smoke flutters the edges of the tarp as it belchs out. Then one large mechanical hand reachs from under the tarp to grab it and yank it away to reveal the rest of the Foxtrotter. The covering is tossed in the back of the bed, the truck's suspension creaking a bit as the dieselpunk exo heaves it's mechaniacl girth over the edge and onto the pavement. A deep *thwoom thwoom* bellows with the exhaust from the stacks on it's back, pistons and gears continuing to make mechanical noises.

Corona pulls down a hand device for the speakers mounted on the rollcage over the cockpit she's sitting here. "Ah heard y'all have a bit of unwanted company."
Lexicon     "Mm," Lexicon makes yet another noncommittal noise. The tour isn't the real reason she accepted this invitation, after all. It's only when Ludare offers a disk that the smaller DCC unfolds her arms, accepting it, "Thank you. I'm more interested in what kinds of viruses you've been capturing, in case they match records from Britannica. Could be useful in identifying any kind of outbreak before it gets out of hand."

Shaking lights draws her gaze upward, then towards the windows and the booming voice outside, "Damnit, really?" A glance towards Alea, then a sigh as she makes for the exit, trailing pixellated white light. By the time she's outside, Lexicon has fully transitioned to Silver Soul, axe in hand.

In the lot before Introversion, the Judge of Dread approaches at what would be a steady walk if he actually had legs. It's an ominously slow float, as things stand. The girl on his shoulder pushes herself up on her hands, suddenly drawn to the sky with a tense expression, "Huh... Diamond's here? That's no good for me." She pushes off further, floating above Keeper. Thrusting her hands out, light flickers around her wrists, condensing into armored bracers armed with long energy claws, "Be careful, huh?"

"CONCERN IS UNNECESSARY," Keeper bellows. Helmeted eyes skim from the emerging Souls to the arriving exo-armor, "ALL WILL BE JUDGED BY THE KEEPER." The hammer-axe is spun briefly, then planted once more in a fashion that cracks the pavement beneath him, "RELEASE THE VIRUSES AND MERCY MAY BE GRANTED."
Alea     Alea's not too far behind, trailing pixellated green light. It's not soon after Lexicon enters Silver Soul that ALea enters Emerald Soul and takes to the sky, spear in hand. "As the owner of this, I'm afraid I cannot acquisice." she replies in a normal voice towards Keeper, a quick look is given towards Topaz curiously. "A DCC?" there's a curious stint as she looks over her curiously. This might not be good. At least she may have the range advantage with her spear.

"I'll give you a chance to ... float away and leave before three DCC's decide to delete you here and now for even thinking about interrupting this tour!" a pause a look towards the new arrival in the desielmech. "You have a full party here willing to beat you like some sort of mid-boss of a first level arcade game! And we won't pull our punches!"

There's a spear twirl, "You get one shot to make the right decision."
Corona Arclite The hammer being thumped to the pavement causes it to shake from the force, but the Foxtrotter plants it's broad industrialized feet to keep from being knocked around by the vibrations. Corona's safely strapped into the cockpit but out of habit she still grabs her hat with one hand to keep it from being dislodged. "An' they complain my machinery is a bane upon noise polution regulations." So the Judge Dredd wannabe wants to break out viruses, which is this world's equivilent of outlaws. That's all she needs to know.

An audible thrum emits from the turbine-like generators in the dieselmech's arms as they spin up, venting steam hissing from the elbows as it clenches one hand. "Ah reckon ya oughta listen to the lass and skedaddle."

But they never do seem to listen, so Corona takes a moment to readjust her goggles and make sure all the readouts are syncing properly, then regrips the controls. The gunslinger arm is already loaded and ready, as soon as Mr. NO VOLUME CONTROL makes a move...
Theurgus     Diamond Soul swoops around, overshooting the building then banking around sharply. She arrests her momentum by throwing her legs forward while the wing-like processors on her back spread and scoop the air. "TOPAZ!" she bellows in challenge, leveling her staff at the golden DCC. "Did my words mean nothing to you? Why do you assault this Drive?" she asks, looking from Topaz to Keeper and back. "Another one of your brothers, I take it?" she adds after, keeping her staff ready, the head cycling through colours in a rapid manner, likely meant as a type of challenge or intimidation.
Lexicon     "He wanted to, I just came to keep an eye on him!" Topaz Soul objects at Theurgus' accusation. "Keeper doesn't change his mind, so it's not like I could stop him like the others!" Well, without violence maybe. Is this the reason MISC has been so quiet lately? It's notable that the blonde DCC floats up and away from Keeper. While her weapons are out, she makes no motion to attack like she had previously, they might be out for defense.

DELETION," Keeper recites Alea's threat, "IS IRRELEVANT." The hammeraxe is lifted, swung in a sweeping gesture, and pointed directly at the Emerald DCC, "THIS STRUCTURE SHALL BE RAZED, REGARDLESS OF THE OBSTACLES YOU PRESENT."

A digital circle of green light spreads across the ground beneath Keeper, then bursts upward, adding a hexagonal energy layer over the construct's copious armor. He then advances on the Introversion castle, leaving his flank open to Corona. He might even be ignoring Lexicon and Alea in front of him, eyes fixed on his singular target.
Theurgus     Theurgus is watching Topaz like a hawk, but the yellow brawler isn't making hostile moves, and so she relaxes just a little bit. She doesn't engage Keeper, keeping herself in reserve, and to keep Topaz in check, should the yellow menace decide to intervene herself.
Alea     Emerald Soul shakes her head a bit at this and advances forward towards Keeper. "I would say that this will be your bad end. Game over!" There's a kick off a green energy field under her feet as she leaps into the air, only to come barreling down with her spear head facing downwards towards Keeper. He's such a big target, how could she miss! After all, she's just jumping into the enemy with her spear like a certain large lizard named job class would do!

Meanwhile, Ludare's inside the Castle getting things locked down and solid, she can at least shore up defenses against this threat.... can she?
Corona Arclite Confirmation enough for Corona that is.

Let's see. Freak's floating in the air, so there's no legs to cripple and ground based obstructions would be fairly pointless. What else can she do to slow him down a bit? His design would make just shooting his undercarriage hard too, especially when he puts up an additional defense. "Guess it's time to get on with this rodeo!" Corona stomps on a foot pedal and heaves forward on the control sticks, and the Foxtrotter springs from idle to action in a mechanical heartbeat. It starts running slightly aside of Keeper's advance path so she can get properly into position. As it's doing so it swivels at the waist, Corona raising the left arm and pulling the trigger. The arm-gun only fires once but it's a loud shot with a hard hitting projectile, being the mecha equivilent of heavy shotgun. Hopefully it's enough to start breaking that defense boost back down.
Lexicon     Large caliber shotgun shrapnel sparks against Keeper's armor. Black coating tears, showing silver stripes of damaged metal in places where the flak from Corona's weapon pierced the defensive shell he'd just erected. What gives him pause is when Alea slams into him from above, piercing the energy shell and biting into his shoulder with her spear. In a shower of sparks, he thrusts his free hand down, casting off the energy field in a point blank energy burst.

Keeper lifts his free hand, gathering cyan-tinted energy crackling with crimson lines. The orb this creates is clutched, compressed, and then dropped. His other hand sweeps back, then slams into the sphere mid-drop with the hammer side of his weapon, knocking the bolt towards Corona's Foxtrotter. Keeper then resumes his ominous approach on the facility, ignoring the sparks from his damaged shoulder.

Topaz Soul to her credit is staying out of the actual fight, though she's pretty clearly anxious for the safety of the one Theurgus called out as her 'brother'.
Corona Arclite "Oh he didn't like that!" Corona yips, heaving hard sideways on the controls and stomping on the opposite pedal that's JUMP instead of RUN. Steam venting veniers flare on the Foxtrotter's back giving it a boost in the abrupt sideways leap. The energy bolt misses the mech, but the detonation when it hits pavement where it had been a moment ago still creates enough of a shockblast to hit the machine with some considerable force and making it lunge even farther than intended.

The large feet hit the pavement and tear it up a bit as it skids to a stop, struts and pistons whining as they contend with the impact recoil. A few lingering sparks ripple over it's armor as they dissipitate into the air. "So it's gonna be like that, huh?" Corona adjusts a dial and flicks a few switchs, even as she's maneuvering a bit closer to Keeper again with the other hand control. The thrum of the arm generators is more audible now, energy krackling around the knuckles of the dieselmech's clenched fist as the arm is raised towards the intruder. "Hey big fella. There's somethin' on yer face."

Corona pulls a lever, and the fist rockets from the arm towards Keep's big dark head, electricity still snapping around the knuckles thanks to channeling along the chain still connecting the flying appendage to the generator.

"MAH FIST!"
Alea     The point blank energy burst sends Emerald Soul back into the air, tumbling. "Okay, we can play the ranged game!" she pauses a moment, then flies back in front of Keeper then rushes at him, moving to stab a few times here and there with a rushing combo, "Rainy Ratnapura!" the spear just keeps stabbing at the metal hunk, trying to at least delay him some as she jumps back a bit, "I'm not going to let you continue forward!"

Bold words for the DDC in front of a honking metal thing!
Theurgus     Theurgus floats down a bit closer to Topaz, keeping enough distance that she can use her range advantage, but close enough to not be bellowing to speak to her. "You truly wish to remain with those who would disrupt the peace like this?" she asks, keeping her gaze on the battle unfolding. "I am not saying your family are bad, but their goals and motives disrupt everyone else's lives, making them sad." she attempts to appeal to the little girl that Topaz is clearly still, at least mentally. "If you could convince your family to renounce their villainous ways... I am sure we could find them positions that leverage their skills. Your brother... is he your brother?" she shakes her head. "Your companion, here, would make an excellent enforcer or defender for the Drive that hosts him. That defensive matrix puts even Mordion Gaol's firewalls to shame."
Lexicon     Keeper halts again when Corona strikes him again. This time it's a large robot fist slamming into the defense-oriented Felon's helmeted face that gives him pause. It's actually spun the judge's helmet around entirely, and when he stops, he reaches up to grope at his face with his free hand. This leaves him vulnerable when Alea starts pelting his armor. His chestplate and other forward armor chips and cracks, other marks made by the energy spear glowing crimson before they cool.

Twisting his head around at last, Keeper's glowing eye shapes narrow down at the DCC before him. His halbard is raised, gripped now in both hands. A digitized magic circle erupts across the ground beneath him, rotating as he brings the weapon down in a horizontal arc. This produces a crimson slash wave that expands as it rushes away from him, until it dissipate past a certain range somewhere behind Corona's exosuit.

    "BEGONE."

"Nnnh," Topaz Soul's inner conflict is written all across her face, "I don't know...! This is just the way they are." Dropping her arms, she glances towards Thergus, "Is it really wrong?"
Theurgus     Theurgus looks to Topaz, an expresion of understanding on her face. "You're conflicted. You want to do right by your family, but you can clearly see the pain they cause to others." she says this as the battle rages, floating a little closer. "Tell me... if I came to your home Drive and began blasting your citizens or your structures like your family are doing to our Drives... would you come to fight me, drive me away or delete me?"
Corona Arclite The moments of disorientation give Alea an opening, and give Corona enough time to retract the chain and retrieve the robo-fist back onto it's arm proper.

Unfortunately the way the Foxtrotter dug in it's feet to brace itself for the flying fist flail means it can't quickly shift to evasive maneuvering like it did last time. The energy shockwave plows into the machine, actually pulling it's anchored feet out of the pavement and knocking it over this time, energy 'hit flash' sparkling across most of it's frame as it topples backwards with an audible crunch. Corona is rocked about in the cockpit a bit, but this is why it's got a rollcage and harness and isn't an open to the air model like a ride armor.

Gears grind and there's a bit of sparking as the dieselmech clanks the fist into the ground and uses it to push itself back onto it's feet under Corona's expert control. Once it's upright it reachs over to grab the opposite arm's shoulder pauldron armor and shove it back into place so it doesn't jam anything. One of the exhaust stacks is bent at an angle, but thankfully not clogged and still puffing out fumes.

Corona huffs, giving her hat a tug down to readjust it, goggle readouts flicking a few times before they resync. Then she reachs to tap something into her armband unit, which is also synced to some of the machine's systems.

There's an loud *CHA-KUNK* as the arm-gun ejects a cartridge, and a similar sound as a new one is loaded in its place. Though it's not the same ammo this time, and the weapon actually rotates it's fixtures to cycle a longer barrel and narrower apeture to match.

Instead of just working the control mechanisms Corona shifts over to insert her own left hand into a glove-like harness and take more direct control of the limb and weapon to use her sharpshooting skills. The weapon arm raises towards Keeper.

Then dips down to a bit of an angle as it fires. The calculated trajetory is aimed to ricochete off the pavement and vector up into the big chunker's underside to get past some of the armor and maybe hit something more intricate. That it takes a specific ammo to bounce the shot and not just blow up the ground, and a bit of calculated aiming, is why she didn't do that at the start.
Alea     Emerald Soul brings up the spear to try and block that slash wave, and it runs right into her, skidding backwards from the impact! "Okay, well, you don't wanna play nice, then I shall not either!" and she goes right in once more, eight strong strikes trying to carve up that armor once more, "Kinestra Slash!" of course, this move is a bit showy off but, it's supposed to be effective at least... and maybe distract it enough to lower its agility!

Providing that, she looks towards the other DCC's and then back at Keeper. "We may need to go all out on this guy, y'know! I'm ready if anyone else is!"
Lexicon     Topaz Soul chews her lip, glancing from Theurgus to the fight below. Her brows knit as she considers her answer. A hand lifts, cradling her cheek with a 'nnn' sort of noise, "But I don't have a Drive. I don't have citizens. It's just us. And if you did that, we'd kick your butt." A sidelong glance, "O-or at least try..."

Corona finds an angle to come up under Keeper's copious skirt armor, the heavy shell hitting something which erupts out the top and side of his hip in a burst of flames and electrical sparks. The followup slash Alea performs capitalizes on this weakpoint, shearing off the shoulder guards on the same side. Shed armor crackles as it falls, dissipating into raw crimson code. That came dangerously close to severing his arm at the shoulder.

The Judge of Dread actually floats back this time, smoldering and sparking. Keeping both hands on his hammer-axe, the machine hauls the weapon up. A yellow blur zooms down behind him. And when he tries to bring his arms down on Alea they don't move-- there's only a metallic grinding noise.

    "WHAT."

"We're going home," Topaz Soul states firmly, "You've caused enough trouble here!"

    "INSOLENCE."

"Shut up!" Keeper's form shifts, hovering higher than he had been-- no, the DCC currently holding the robot in a Full Nelson is actually lifting him, "I don't want you to die! And Seeker would be mad too! We're going home and having a meeting!"

Though nothing's stopping any parting shots for those so inclined, it seems that Topaz Soul has finally decided to do something other than get lectured by the Mad Magician.
Corona Arclite Being the somewhat paranoid sort she is Corona keeps the dieselmech's arm-gun trained on the duo until they're well on their way out of the System. Only then does she finally lower it and pull her hand out of the controll apparatus.

"Ah dunno what ya said to her," she remarks to Theurgus, "But it's a darn good thing you did." She pauses to tug her goggles up from her eyes. "Not that we couldn't taken him... eventually. He mighta done some serious damage in the process."
Alea     Emerald Soul was trying desperately to disarm (hah) him but less armor is better, a break point! She actually winds back up, getting ready to do another thing, "Sylhet S..." the yellow blur catches her off guard and she stumbles back a bit "Ara?" she blinks a bit... looking at the yellow DCC curiously, and watching that full nelson, listening. There's a tilt of her head, is he getting scolded by her? "Please do." she comments in time, "I won't be so nice to allow a retreat next time."

There's a twirl of her spear and she turns towards Theurgus, "Well done. Apparently words got through her... but what did you say to her?" she questions, "I'd be interested in figuring that out, maybe that would work for some other more... troublesome denizens...."
Theurgus     Theurgus floats down as Topaz starts hauling Keeper away physically. She alights on the ground, dismissing her Divinity form and her staff. "I merely gave her the opportunity to see things from our perspective... she is clearly young and naive, but has a good heart despite the company she keeps." states the Mad Magician. "Those who do harm, often do so because they have no other options... I made clear there may be alternatives to their current path. All of them, not just Topaz." she looks over toward Lexicon. "If a Virus like Christmas can live in harmony with the Programs of a Drive... so too can these Felons, if they are willing."
Corona Arclite "Yeah. An oppritunity is all it takes to make a difference." Corona was an orphan on the streets at one point, she knows all too well what just one chance can turn a life around.

She sits back in the Foxtrotter's cockpit, rummaging for one of the chilled storage bins to pull out a flask. Post victory drink!

She'd offer to share, but she's not sure these folks even drink or eat. Hmm.
Theurgus     Theurgus holds her left hand out, and a can materializes from her Inventory. It has a stylized Doc.P. logo on the front, in a kind of mixed red and burgundy. She pops the tab, and takes a sip, keeping her eyes covered from the others with the wide brim of her peaked hat. "We shall see how this plays out in the coming demicycles, I am sure."
Lexicon     While Theurgus, Alea and Corona have their discussion, Topaz Soul hefts a struggling and loudly objecting Keeper and floats up at an angle. She's not headed for the System Bus, but rather, to the far edge of the Arcade drive. Following her by any means would find her diving into Duty Space beyond the Drive's borders. The same sort of escape she's made in the past, though considerably less rushed this time.

    A lot noisier though.
Alea     "What you're not gonna share a drink?" she comments towards Corona, then she turns to everyone, "Perhaps... after this little stint, I'll be increasing patrols around my borders because they shouldn't have been able to get in." she shakes her head a bit and lets go of her transformation.

"I think that's enough adventure for the day, shall we go back to the Cathoderal and play some games to relax from this hectic encounter?"
Lexicon     It's about this time that Lexicon exits the castle-like facility, still in the form of Silver Soul. Once she spots the lack of a certain virus, though, she releases it, glancing towards Alea and Theurgus, then towards Corona. After a moment, the Silver DCC dismisses her weapon as well, hands disappearing into her sleeves, "Well. I helped Ludare lock the place down, but it seems like he didn't even get to the front door. Good work." At the offer of games, Lexicon lowers her face slightly, "I'll pass. I should get the data you gave me to Stylono and check our records like I mentioned earlier."

She also might not want to be in this woman's company any longer than she can help it right now.
Theurgus     "I should return to Locus... I have some data that I want my assistant to look at." says Theurgus, looking towards the screeching of Keeper being dragged away. "I have a theory, but I would rather confirm it before disclosing my thoughts on the matter." she explains.
Corona Arclite "Sorry, Ah didn't know ya folks could drink stuff." Though Theurgus and her can disproves that. The rollcage hatchs up and back, allowing Corona to climb out after tapping a few controls. As she's coming down she tosses the flask towards Alea. "Careful, it's strong." Her boots finally hit the ground, spurs jangling a bit. "Ah s'ppose seein' more of this place wouldn't hurt none."

Whatever control she hit as she got out must of been an auto-pilot or something, as the Foxtrotter turns and clomps its way back to Corona's truck, climbs into the bed, and even pulls the tarp back over itself. Eat yer sparkplugs out, self driving cars! Self parking mecha is much more useful!
