Kalia PREVIOUSLY...

Following the murder of most Psykers (and crewmembers) onboard the Black Ship SULATH'S REACH, and the implosion of its Warp Drive, a tear into the Warp opened briefly, swallowing the remains of the ship and setting loose a massive horror seemingly composed of the dead Psykers. It vanished, entering the Warp in a manner indicating not a being returning to its home, but a ship preparing to make a jump to another system. There had been no news since.

NOW.

Well, no news until now, anyway. Due to the information onboard the Black Ship being compromised, including its travel route and target planets, the Imperium dispatched an unknown number of inquisitors and assassins - not to silence the Elites who spoke of the matter, but to silence the witnesses of the Black Ship back on their home planets. It wasn't supposed to be hard or complicated.

A distress signal says otherwise.

It claims, in short, that a massive Warp horror appeared in the orbit of the planet Losat-IX and crashed on its surface like a meteor, wiping out several villages, and most dispatched assassins and inquisitors by the same stroke. The lot of you are closer than any Imperium ship in any state to respond to this threat - and you can imagine what they'll do if they decide the giant Warp horror isn't worth a deployment and they just decide, instead, that the planet's a lost cause.

ON LOSAT-IX.

An Earth-like planet, save that its sun is blue, Losat-IX isn't anything special to gawk or look at. What is, however, is the massive crater the Warp horror carved into the planet with its entry - dozens of kilometers across and several deep. The beast, like a serpent made of a thousand corpses, is slowly slithering its way out of the crater. It is, inconveniently, headed straight for the nearest group of settlements, which miraculously survived the crash and shockwave (though they'll definitely want help rebuilding after).

Its skin is rough and beige, covered in bumps not unlike scales. It doesn't have a head, so much as it has several maws fused into one another, essentially a sphere of gnashing teeth that will not stop moaning and shrieking in pain.

Kalia is floating by it - nonchalantly, obviously, as if merely following, or observing. Mercifully, the beast doesn't seem empowered.
Karian Icefang     Responding to the distress call, Karian brought his strike cruiser close to the planet. His face was a wall of grim acceptance, knowing that this was likely connected to the events regarding the black ship. "Keep the orbital weaponry on standby. We might need to shell it to do any real damage." He says, making his way towards the drop pods. He knew he could expect help, but the only question he had was how bad was it going to look on the ground.
Staren     Staren's castle-ship-house drops out of FTL, and the Star Hawk detaches and flies towards the planet.

Sometime later, it dives down out of the sky, coming into sight of the worm. And also of Kalia. Staren switches to hybrid mode and hovers near her, while firing a (mecha-scale) laser rifle at the worm to try and draw its attention away from the town.

For once he's not shooting her on sight! "So, why are you here?"
Tomoe It may have been in Tomoe's best interest to just focus on the game zones of her homeworld, this was not to be. After all, she was still alive due to the intervention of outsiders such as Karian. As horrible as the situation had been? Leaving him out to dry didn't sit right with her. So here she was going to stick her head in here one way or another.

Regardless of the issue. She knows help has been requested and she damn well knows what will happen to the planet if they fail, either the warp will eat it or the Imperium will burn it to ash to prevent it from spreading.

Tomoe would arrive by drop pod, having got a lift from the Space Wolves. Even though she was tall by most humanoid metric but she was a runt compared to the marines who normally used them. It took a moment for her to get fitted and she would then drop.

She knew some nearby settlements had survived the impact. However, they won't survive much longer if they don't stop this thing here and now.

She's silent as the pod drops and will be leaping out the moment the pod has impacted with the ground her wings will flare out and she'll take off to move recon and intercept the warp horror and it's not alone. This is going to be rough and she knows it.
Sumiko "Huh...blue sun.  That's pretty cool," Mikoto says, trying to forget about the incoming corpse snake.  Or rather, put off dealing with it for as long as possible.  She takes a moment to examine the land, and in fact, it is quite enjoyable.  However, with how things are becoming, and the snake starting to rise up, she couldn't ignore it forever.

There is a burst of jade, the Magical girl's body quickly being covered in her outfit, before a final burst of jade erupts in front of her, and forms into her sword.  Well, it appears that she can't put it off anymore, and her eyes turn towards both the large corpse snake and the freaky little girl hovering near it.

This thing was huge, so they needed something appropriate to fight it.  She thinks about this for a moment.  Jade barriers would likely be slithered over, or under.  However...

A grin came to the Magical Girl's face, as she dragged the sword along the ground around her before stabbing it into the earth.  From the earth, a phantasmal animal started to take shape.  Trying to invest more mana than normal into it, she allows it to grow to giant size...

Finally, the form of a Grey Mongoose appears, and immediately charges the giant snake.  Why fight fire with fire, when you can fight snake with mongoose!
Kirito     'What the hell have I gotten myself into' is one of the naggling thoughts plaguing Kirito as he surveys the horror down below him on this planet in a corner of the Imperium.

The fact that this incident is related to the one that set off a long discussion of how much of a shithole Karian's whole galaxy is, well, that's pretty fresh in his thoughts and making him pretty worried about those Space Assassins.

He has since decided that he won't be going anywhere NEAR his actual home for a while. His aunt and cousin will totally understand...

But as far as understanding is concerned, the gigantic beast he's tailing is doing a great job of defying any attempts thereabouts. The black swordsman's grimace intensifies with every new look he takes at the thing. How the hell is he supposed to STOP it? He's a swordsman, not a GOD. He'd target legs, but it doesn't have any. He'd target vital organs, but it doesn't look like it has THOSE either. And so he's swooping across the beast back and forth, looking for anything that MIGHT be a weak point. Maybe a gap between the fused flesh that exposes a glowing crystal? Or anything else that stands out.
Sarracenia      As others FTL in or warp gate, another ship appears. This one however actually enters the atmosphere and dives down quickly.

It is also of note that it is a wooden airship of classic Spanish galleon design. The large masts sport huge propellers rather than sails. And as it closes in on the creature dozens of cannon doors open along its sides and cannons with barrels big enough for someone to lie down inside them slide into place.

Riding on the bow of the ship is Princess Sarracenia. Her battle dress and long reddish-blonde hair flutter in the wind, and she looks...well, nervous actually. She hasn't answered many of these calls to arms, and those few she has have been very stressful! "Prepare to open fire, captain!" she says to a nearby piranha plant person, then calls over her radio to the others gathered. "This is Princess Sarracenia Sundew, Crown Princess of the Sundew Kingdom! The Explodette will soon begin bombardment of the creature, so please keep clear of our lines of fire!"

One might wonder just how to keep out of the line of fire of a cannon, but that is soon answered when the ship fires one side of its cannons then rotates in air and fires the other, and suddenly the sky darkens a bit as a swarm of Bullet Bills start toward the target in two waves. They aren't the fastest of projectiles, but they seek their targets relentlessly until they hit something and unleash their explosive payloads.
Kalia     "We're observing," Kalia responds to Staren, without turning to face him. "Their wish hasn't gone away. They won't stop until they've reached it." Their gaze settles on the serpent. "Well, their loudest wish, anyway. There's a lot in there. One just has more voices."

The first shot is fired; a large laser crashes into the back of the serpent, scorching its skin and spreading the scent of burnt human flesh across the four winds. It shrieks louder.

As a magical mongoose charges the horror, it suddenly 'stands' up right, or more vertical than it was before, like a snake trying to appear larger than it is. Limbs detach from its body - those bumps all across it, they aren't scales. They're joints. Countless massive arms spring out like a plumage around its head, lancing out to grapple with the mongoose. Grab it, hold it in place. Lower its jaws onto it like a blender.

Of course, the serpent is massive enough that Kirito can, with his agility and reflexes, effortlessly remain on it, accounting and predicting its movements. As his blade proves for weak points, it slices into flesh, revealing bulbous, angry eyes under the surface of the serpent's skin. Dozens of them. Probably far more. They seem none too pleased about being revealed.

Even less so when Sarracenia's ship opens fire, rocking the body of the beast and revealing more and more eyes across its body as skin is blown away.

Of course, it'd be easy to forget that this thing is made of Psykers.

While its arms and maws try to tear into Mikoto's mongoose, Warp energies ripple around the serpent. Its revealed eyes, from the laser strike and Kirito's slashes, stare at people disjointedly.

Towards the DROP POD containing Karian (and his men?) and Tomoe, it casts WEAPON VIRUS, causing armor and weaponry to start rapidly decaying.

As the eyes turn to Kirito, they cast PAVANE OF SLAANESH, odd rays of pink and purple threatening to slam into him and cause his body to jerk and spasm painfully enough to potentially dislocate some of his bones.

When their gaze turns to Staren, the eyes cast FLICKERING FIRE, sudden spikes in heat threatening to spontaneously ignite the fuel and ammo on his machine.

Finally the eyes look upon Sarracenia's ship, and their gaze is suddenly alive with flames from the Warp. Beings with eyes on her ship - the Bullet Bills included - who look upon the serpent, feel the compulsion to look away in fear under the pressure of the WITHERING GAZE.
Karian Icefang     Karian growls as his weaponry and armor begins to malfunction and rot away. But that doesn't stop him or his men from engaging while they can. The Wolf Lord moves to mount onto the snake-beast, and drive his blade into the eyes and whatever was underneath.
Sumiko Mikoto was not idle, once the animal was summoned, she was moving as well.  Sword over one shoulder as she starts rushing right behind the Mongoose.  When the snake rears up, the mongoose stops charging and starts moving around, stalking instead of attacking.

Mikoto breaks right, as the mongoose breaks left, trying to keep its attention split between them.  When it goes to lash out at the Mongoose, the animal focuses on full defense, trying to avoid its grapple.  However, it's got a size advantage and the unfair advantage of /hands/.

However, inviting the mongoose to your face invites it's terrible bite as well.  It attempts to grab the snake by the area around its head.  Trying to shake its own head and cause more damage to the snake.

Mikoto is not idle, using her stolen SPEED to zip up towards the snake and land on it's back.  Her sword digs deep into the creature and attempts to run up the back of the creature, trying to open it up.
Sarracenia      Even though the piranha plant sailors don't actually seem to have eyes, any that were looking toward the creature are suddenly cowering in fear out of sight of the creature. The second salvo of Bullet Bills never comes, because all the sailors who try to fire the cannons can't focus on the creature.

But perhaps the worst thing is the Bullet Bills. Those shark-faced projectiles which were all following in an orderly cone toward the creature...start veering off in random directions, any directly that isn't taking them directly toward the psyker horror. The battlefield is soon being littered with explosions from Bills hitting the ground, as is Sarracenia's airship as several end up randomly headed toward it.

Sarracenia herself turns pale under the Withering Gaze and turns away quickly. "W-what in the...?!" As was proven in the tests on Lillian Rook's world, Sarracenia has little defense against such things. But, she finds that if she isn't looking at the creature she is fine. This gives her an idea, something she read about in a book on Greek mythology. She reaches into her purse and pulls out a compact mirror, trying to use it to look down on the creature without actually looking at it. Will it work? She sure hopes so, because she and her crew can't do much otherwise.
Staren     Well, Kalia's not causing trouble... "What IS their greatest wish?" He asks.

Kirito suggests he just macross missile massacre the worm. Well, it IS pretty big. He didn't bring the full complement this time, but the right shoulder pack opens and missiles -- not mini-missiles, the kind a human would need a big shoulder launcher to fire one of -- start to fire. They're regular high explosives, targeted at the segments of worm holding the mongoose.

Before he can launch them all, that pack EXPLODES, sending the Star Hawk tumbling through the air. Part of the lower left shoulder pack also explodes, making a great big fireball and scorching the back of the machine but not leaving a lasting fire. The other thrusters all fire at once as Staren purges reaction mass before it can explode, and struggles to gain some sort of control as he careens through the air!
Tomoe So far the responders are people she either hs worked a long time or she believed to be reliable as backup. Kirito, Sarracenia, Karian and Mikoto were here. She'd not seen the last fight before but judging from the radio chatter she's heard she was confident in the magical girl's abilities. She sees the Mongoose summoned, which given this thing was a warp snake from the looks of it a pretty good call. Sarracenia brought some serious firepower, much like Staren and Karian did.

She would be moving in as the attacks star rather than go to get up close she knows that might be a bad idea given her last fight with something on this size scale.

As Tomoe closes she gets durability warning on her hud as all her currently equipped gear even her Aguma has taken a noticeable durability loss.

"It's attacking our gear directly."

She calls out in warning and she'll swap weapons to Caliburn, the weapon blazes with an aura of holy power as she would start to close in for a high-speed attack, as bullet bills are raining all around her she'll be forced to zig and zag, if she took another durable hit like that? She doesn't even know what might happen. She will follow up any major strikes form her allies and will attempt o drive her blade into the thing's body then fly as fast as she can dragging the weapon through the thing form as she goes if she can get her blade in, the first place.

She also keeps in mind Staren has a lot of firepower to let lose yet it doesn't come? Wait what happened there? Mikoto meanwhile is doing a more focused attempt to create a weak point on this thing.
Kirito     All the herking and jerking of the snake-beast has Kirito violently thrown from side to side. Were he a mere human, it'd be enough to send him flying and splattering. But thankfully... he is a Fairy. Every thrashing and slither's counterbalanced with a thrumming counter-force from his wings! And so he stays more or less on the pathj he wants, carving a few nasty trenches into the thing and...

"Eyes...?!" Why would it have eyes UNDER THE SKIN? Never mind how nightmarish this is - and it CERTAINLY IS THAT, sending unnerving tingles all down his spine just from looking at them all - what purpose could they serve?

Seeing them tense up for something though, Kirito acts utterly on instinct and SLAMS his blade down into the beast's flesh for an anchor point and holds on moments before the freakish beams strike. His body's engulfed by the warp power...

Loud, defiant, pained screams are wrung from the Spriggan as his body jerks and convulses, muscles firing wildly and NOTHING doing what it ought to be. He waggles this way and that, almost getting flung from the creature's back... it's a wonder he didn't twist something out of its socket!

But no, he's not going down quite that easily. With heaved, hoarse breaths he hauls himself back to his feet on the creature's back and SLAMS a fist against... something in the air, off to the side. Open air? For everyone else. For him, though....

As he's crouching there, gathering his wits and recovering, bluish-white energy flows along his back from nowhere and coaelsces swiftly into a second scabbard, one holding a golden blade.

"Hrrrruagh!" Hoisting himself to his feet, the Black Swordsman reaches back with his free hand, grasps that blade... and draws it free!

Holy Sword Excaliber is a blade made of radiant, polished gold with a bejeweled aquamarine-plate reinforcing the guard, and a number of jewels set into the pommel.

And he brings this sword about. It shines with PEARLY WHITE power moments before he brings it down straight for those eyes, unleashing a VERY short-ranged burst of Light/Holy energy into the flesh as he tries to simply carve the eyes OUT!
Kalia     Karian's tactics are simple, but let no one call them ineffective. Eyes are pierced and splattered, and the beast recoils like in great pain, more than it had when any other blow struck it.

Kalia looks at Staren, then. "The same as last time. Weren't you paying attention when we answered then?" Between shooting Kalia and not repairing that console, it's true Staren was very busy.

The mongoose bites into the Warp horror. Putrid green blood spews out of its body. In response, the beast tries to angle its head down - it's head is a sphere of maws, so it doesn't need to angle itself especially well to bite back. Lucky it! It also has another weapon up its arsenal. Its blood hangs in the air like a toxic, disease-filled magical miasma. It might be bad for the mongoose, even as a construct.

Sarracenia finds that the beast's eyes have stopped flowing - looking through a mirror is definitely safe, but for now it seems safe to look again, period. As long as it doesn't cast that spell again!

Staren unloads everything he can into the serpent before it can burn any more of it. Explosion after explosion hits the worm, blasting its thin layer of skin away to reveal even more eyes. Is that thing made entirely of eyes, under the skin? It might very well be the case. And now they're all exposed!

Tomoe and Kirito make like Karian and go for the eyes. They slice and burst the eyeballs on one side of the beast's body, and it seems to swerve - as if that were in fact disorienting or blinding it.

And making it very, very angry.

As Mikoto charges in under the cover of her mongoose, she sees the eyes suddenly flare with black-purple energies. Like hundreds of artillery batteries suddenly going haywire, the eyes let loose barrage upon barrage of DOOMBOLTS, which aren't quite as dooming as they sound. They're just awful balls of raw energy (and also, hate! specifically for you, who are in its way). The biggest threat isn't what they are, it's the absurd quantity being released from every eye, jutting left and right in a nervous panic.

Even in the midst of that, the massive serpent is still trying to slither out of the crater, towards the settlements.
Karian Icefang     Karian grimmaces as the beast shakes and sways, nearly causing him to go over to side. But quick thinking has the wolf lord impaling his sword into the monster, trying to use it as leverage. "Damned warp beast..." he mutters, firing his pistol into the side with what little ammo he had left.
Sarracenia      As soon as the effect of the eyes fades, the piranha plant sailors are once again firing their guns. The airship has several holes in it by now, and as those Doombolts start toward them the princess exclaims, "Brace for impact!"

The airship takes plenty of beating from those bolts, and planks of wood rain from the sky from damaged sections of hull. But, it stays in the air for now. And it seems this entire creepy thing is made of eyeballs?! Sarracenia grimaces. "Ugh...how does something like that even happen?!" she shouts, feeling sick to her stomach.

With most everyone in close now, Sarracenia doesn't want to keep shelling the target. So, she pulls her oversized hammer from her purse and has her ship do a flyby. She leaps from the bow and comes down like a comet as she rides the head of her hammer down. She aims herself for the 'head' of that creature, hoping to crush a large number of those biting mouths with the heavy impact and shockwave that her landing unleashes.
Sumiko Mongoose is having a bad time.  Roaring but not letting go as it's bitten into.  The beast nearly froths at the mouth, even as the poisonous blood seeps into it.  However, despite this, it tries and uses it's more dense body to try and shove it back, trying to pin it's head to the ground.

At the rate it is going, it is probably going to die.  However, it keeps pushing forward, its desire to /eat the snake/ is ingrained in its psyche.  If this fails, it starts going into rabid strikes, trying to take chunks out of the snake's head and neck, trying to delay it in any way possible.

Mikoto, on the other hand, is forced on the defensive.  Her sword smashes against the first doom bolt, trying to keep up with the mass.  She becomes a blender of jade sword, doom bolts flying off in random directions, as she attempts to avoid being shot directly.

Until one sneaks by her defenses, smashing into her and sending her flying.  Hitting the ground in a roll, she screams.  The psychic force was not good for her.  Shakily getting to her feet, she holds the sword out.  She can feel the gem darken just by getting blasted.  She should run...

But she's angry now.  Very angry.  A dark shroud seems to cover the top part of her head and face, her eyes glowing as she dashes at full speed.  There is no hesitation, no restraint...she goes all out trying to make it to the snake and leap up onto the back of her mongoose, towards the head of the snake and start repeatedly trying to smash the head with her sword.

"Die...die die die die die die DIE!" She screams, feeling backed into a corner now.
Staren     Staren manages to stabilize, hovering in place low to the ground until the reaction mass dump completes, then transforming and landing in humanoid form. Repair drones are crawling over his right arm pack. For now... he's got the laser rifle still, which had no fuel to explode, so he starts shooting eyes, trying to reduce the number of doombolts it can fling at Mikoto.
Tomoe The target of Tomoe's assault seems to have worked out well, it's hurt the warp horror and she's got it mad, it's very mad now. She'll attempt to twist as she does so mid-air and turns about to chant, runes dance about her boy then a barrage of light rays seek out and home in on the beat eyes and the ones that have been ruined already trying to aggravate the existing wounds they need to burn it down harder and faster.

Tomoe will keep up her attack but it may just end up putting her at risk of getting hammered into the ground or worse given she's having to hold still for the most part when she's changing her light ray attacks.

She needs to think of an idea to keep it from moving towards the settlements somehow or see if anyone else has an idea.
Kirito     All this... ALL THIS... because of the mess of a galaxy this is. Kirito's holding on, though! No amount of swerving's going to fling him off, as he's using his wings to counter the inertia and hold himself down! It gives him plenty of opportunities to unleash Sword Skill after Sword Skill and carve into the beast, while running along it.

He's just... going to try not to think too much about the creature's true nature. It's too depressing. All he can do is silently apologize in his heart with every slash!
Kalia     Karian swaps to his sidearm, taking out several more of the beast's eyes. It swerves, suddenly, as if losing balance.

Sarracenia dives down, slamming her hammer into the thing's... head, for a lack of better descriptors. Some of its jaws break, sharp teeth flying in every direction. It shrieks in obvious pain with entirely too many different voices to count.

As the mongoose starts tearing deeper into the serpent, its advance begins to slow; on the other hand, it starts spewing out more and more of that green mist. Karian can recognize the telltale signs of Nurgle's Rot, as wind blows the mist towards nearby plants and trees, out of the crater, and they immediatly start mutating into horrid plantlife.

Needless to say, don't breathe it in, any of you.

Mikoto uses the opening given by Sarracenia to go for the head as well, cutting through teeth and bone and remove some more of those offending jaws.

While Staren hurried tries to reduce the amount of eyes on the thing, to keep it from going full psychic ham again. It seems to be working, because eventually, the barrages of Doombolts stop.

Tomoe and Kirito are still keeping the pressure on in melee - the green mist is going to become an issue soon, but they have a window to keep hacking into the eyed serpent. With so many of its eyes now hacked apart, it aim falters - its tail thrashes, to exactly no effect, and while the mongoose might be having a bad time from the Rot, it's not being bitten anymore. The arms are struggling to even find it, without eyes to guide them.

    Its eyes stare upward, suddenly.
    Its moans pitiable and weak.

Kalia looks down from their position in the air, and nods. "Of course we'll help. You just had to ask. Show us how much you want to live. Show us the best you can all do, together."

A black aura overwhelms the Warp horror. Its eyes - the remaining ones anyway - start shining a brilliant pink and blue, reflecting flames only they can see. The air gets stale, heavy, the temperature rises. The wind swirls in a circle around the beast, like a twister.

Sparks of pink and blue flame form within it.

It's casting one last, big spell.

TZEENTCH'S FIRESTORM, an enrapturing spectacle of blue and pink fire that mutates the unfortunate caught in it and turms them into foul servants of Chaos.

You have some time until it finishes casting.
Karian Icefang     Karian grimmaces as the rot is spread out, taking a moment to slip his helmet on. Meanwhile, he also swaps over and chuckes a grenade into the next wound he opens up. "We need to immobilize it now, so we can purge this monstrosity!"
Sumiko Mikoto continues to go nuts on it, smashing it with her blade repeatedly, trying to hurt it more than she can be hurt in return.  Of course, her mongoose in this exchange is beyond hurt at this point.  The rot finally gets to it, before disbursing into a cloud of rot and green particles.  It was just her now.

She had to live, she had to live...she had to live!

She leaps from the creature's head, aiming to soar through the awful gas, but does not breath in.  Hitting the ground, her blade smashes into the ground first, as she releases another burst of mana.

This time, however, a giant green spike attempts to tear up from the earth, aiming to try and impale as much of the snake as she could, trying to do as much damage into it to interrupt that final attack.  Even in this state, she knew danger when she saw it, she just didn't care.  She had to kill anything threatening her desire to live.

This is followed by another swing of her blade, a wide strike aiming to try and cut through the bottom of the snake.
Staren     "Damn it, no!" Staren shouts. "You know the spirit of their wish is impossible to grant now!" The time pressure is on now, though, so the Star Hawk runs towards it, getting close and leaping onto its back if needed to make sure this DOESN'T MISS.

The left shoulder pack opens, revealing a pistol grip which the Star Hawk grabs and draws forth, aiming a giant revolver at one of its eyes and firing into it. Its ammo didn't explode because it runs on SCIENCE!, and it fires two bullets with each trigger pull, bullets enhanced with the power of SCIENCE! to hopefully do a lot of damage even to a beastie like this! After firing all dozen bullets into six of its eyes and whatever internal structure lies behind them, Staren hops off the worm and books it, to get out of the way of whatever Karian's calling down!
Kirito     There is NOTHING good about all of those energies flying arouind. On the better side of things, the creature stopped. Kirito takes this moment to backflip away from it and swerve away from the strange fumes leaking from it and being spewed around. He's heard enough about 'Nurgle's Rot' to know that it's not worth touching. VERY not worthj touching it.

    However.

He's been waiting for this moment. Waiting for the creature to FINALLY stop in its tracks.

Because now he can jump down to its side and bring both his blades to bear. "All that trouble just to make this thing stop... this ends now!" KORE DE KIMERU!

Kirito crosses his blades out in front of him. BOTH gleam brilliant golden yellow as energy builds along them, engulfing the weapons. A Sword Skill activates... but no NORMAL one.

SOME Sword Skills can be used when moving, but this one... oh no. This one has a few seconds of wind-up time where the glow builds and the boy's stance deepens. In a normal duel that would be quite atrocious, but against a gigantic, immobile enemy...

    It's just a sitting duck.

"UOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!" Lunging forward, Kirito launches into a SPECTACULAR display of hyperswift slashes. His arms and blades move with prodigious speed, carving glowing gouges through the air and straight into the beast's flesh. Even meeting said flesh doesn't slow down the blows though. The blades move as if physics simply doesn't apply to them, drawing cross after cross from different angles in blazing and punishing light. Each swing scatters one hell of a special effects budget worth of particles and blooming energy plumes and they're happening A DOZEN PER SECOND as he slowly steps forward. All in all, this move makes him look like some kind of crazy living drill carving a huge chunk of the beast away...

AND HOLDING HIS BREATH EVERY SECOND OF IT.
Tomoe The green mist is an issue Tomoe, will not remain in melee for much longer given the plan she's attempting to organize with Karian they need to get it to hold in place but she's trying to do as much damage as she can to this thin. This is more of a mercy kill than anything, in the end, then the horror asks for help from Kalia, oh this is not going to end well. It also seems to be casting a big spell. Then comes the warning about the mist just about what it is. She so does not want to end up near that at all.

As far as she's aware the Space Wolves gunnery crews are lining up the shot and they need to keep the warp horror in the target zone.

She will now start to back off due to the rot cloud, she has no desires to rot away or become something horrific herself.

She backs off and now starts to hover wings spread wide. She is now chanting and just keeps in place. A second later she unleashes a full-on elemental assault.

Spells of all sort are let lose trying to hem the horror in and keep it pinned down, fire blast, lithing bolts, rays of light, burst of holy and even powerful bursts of wind, Tomoe is using her full spellbook which is not something the swordswoman does often, she's clearing burning through all the magical stamina she has. Still, in the back of her mind, she can only hope the souls who made this horror can find peace when they are finally put down.
Sarracenia      Sarracenia has no idea what those blue and pink reflections in the eyes of the creature mean, except that it can't be good. She leaps away and pulls her phone out. A quick dial has the captain of her ship on the line. "Captain! Deploy the Bonzai launcher!" she exclaims as she runs.

The airship, smoking and listing a bit, does as she says. The underside of the hull opens like a huge cargo door, and a cannon that dwarfs all the other cannons is lowered. This one is so big someone could stand up inside it! With a loud hydraulic noise and a heavy KA-THUNK a shell that must be as big as a truck slides into place, its shark face aimed right at the creature.

"Everyone clear out!" the princess radios to her allies, then looks up at the airshipo. "Fire!!"

With a resounding report to match such a heavy weapon, it fires the Bonzai Bill. Much like its smaller bretheren this shell takes a few moments to reach its target.

But when it does, the explosion is unlike anything else. There is an initial explosion that is powerful in its own right, but in the depths of that explosion a growing series of explosions follows, sounding like a machine gun launching explosive rounds. The bursts of explosive power steadily grow in power, then there is a pause before an final explosion that seems as powerful as the rest combined.

Once it is all over, there is surely a deep crater in the ground and definitely a huge mushroom cloud overhead.
Kalia     A grenade into the beast does a good enough job staggering it; its arms flail, unable to defend it, eyes remaining eyes spasm, unable to focus on anyone or anything. Karian has blinded the beast thoroughly - now it just needs to die before it can invoke its firestorm.

Mikoto causes a spike to impale the serpent and cuts through its bottom; Kalia's gaze turns towards her, but is ultimately reclaimed by Staren, who prompts a response.

"It isn't for us to judge whether or not someone can accomplish what they desire. We only exist to give them the chance to. Whether they have the strength of will to carry through or not, is outside our control," they say, adjusting their scarf as they tend to.

The Star Hawk's SCIENCE! revolver plants nasty rounds right through the serpent; it collapses, spewing forth its green blood into the crater, quickly starting to pool up into a lake of liquid Nurgle's Rot. Not something you want on your planet, for sure.

Kirito unleashes his ULTIMATE TECHNIQUE, or one of them at any rate; with so much snake to hit, it's very difficult to take any one swing and not hit something, vital or otherwise. He carves and carves, removing eyes and hidden limbs at breakneck speed.

If the serpent had any mind to get back up, Tomoe's incoming spell barrage does a good enough job keeping it down on the ground - fire seems especially effective, burning its blood before it can scatter too far, while igniting the airborne toxins and creating safe pockets of air to breathe.

All of this sets things up perfectly for Sarracenia. The massive bullet crashes down - hopefully everyone has time to get away - and the ensuing explosion vaporizes what remains of the Warp horror. Then again, that's not new, and Karian can surely confirm denizens of the Warp don't exactly leave bodies behind. Which is good, because boy would this one be a taint vector.

It looks like he won't have to call down an air strike after all, but he'll definitely have to send specialists down to get rid of the Rot. AKA probably burn everything in holy prometheum.

Hey if it works, don't knock it, right?

Kalia glances about in the wake of everything. They don't need psychic powers to know they're going to get shot again if they go down to be ~social~. Maybe another time. The magical girl has their interest, after all. That's a strong will to live. And so Kalia disappears, who knows where.
Sumiko Mikoto turns to slash again.

BOOM.

She goes flying from the explosion of the bill, landing head over heels as she rolls until she finally stops, flat on her back staring up at the sky.  Groaning, she sits up and rubs her head...ow that hurt.  What was she doing...?

Then there is a cradle of smoking snake parts and a disappearing ghost girl.    Shuddering, Mikoto just lays back and lets the transformation vanish.  She'll just lay here for a moment.
