Lory Thumper      A fairly simple city intersection has been selected for the combat arena. It seems like somewhere one would typically encounter a threat to someone like Lory, an overqualified city cop.

As she waits for Majima to arrive, she goes through some stretches and weapons and armor checks. The four-foot bunny cop really doesn't look like much of a threat whether it is at first glance or long studious gaze. Long ears, short fur, and big bright eyes make her look cute more than anything.

But, she -does- have obvious weapons like pistols, a riot shield, and what seems to be an almost Batman style utility belt with plenty of slots and pockets and holsters around it.
Majima Goro     The cop finds herself faced with literally the most obvious criminal she can imagine. The man swaggers exaggeratedly with each step, baseball bat held in one hand, behind his neck, and then held in place with the opposite hand. There's a quiet whistle.
"Ehh?" He finally stops, upon realizing that...the four foot bunny is not part of the arena. That's his opponent. His one eye widens for a moment, and he leans down a little, a scant ten feet away. His brows raise.

And then he cackles wildly, back bending back almost too far as the bat is swung around to give him something to lean on. "...Ya know, the best part o' this is there's a non-zero chance I'm 'bout to get my ass handed to me by a bunny rabbit. This is gonna be great. Alright."

He pulls out an aluminum can. The word 'Tauriner' is visible on the side, and he quickly chugs it down.
"...Well, why don'tcha show the Multiverse whatcha can do, huh? I gotta see this crap for myself."

With that, Majima takes a stance not entirely like a baseball player.
Lory Thumper      Lory's ears perk when Majima walks in, and...she kind of stares. She was not expecting an obvious criminal to be her opponent. Nor was she expecting him to laugh like that. And she looks even more surprised when he actually says she might win. "Right, uh..." She scratches at the back of her head a moment. "I'm Officer Lory Thumper of the MPD. Pleased to make your aquaintance!" she says, then puts on her riot helmet and pulls the strap tight before pulling out and dual wielding two pistols. "As I understand it, this place protects against harm so there's no need to worry about hurting each other, so don't expect me to take it easy!"

She then takes off running, a blur of leg movement that carries her at a fairly extreme speed. Her pistols fire in a strafing run as she tries to run circles around Majima.
Majima Goro     There's a crack of the neck one way. Then the other. Then, as Lory pulls out the dual pistols...a breath. The bat...vanishes behind his back, and his stance..changes. He starts bobbing his head a little. His hands start to move back and forth, rhythmically.

His feet start to shuffle, and then he's outright doing a few steps like he's just dancing in place. He's moving so intensely, he's caught...fire? Yes. A pink fire starts emanating from his shoulders.

He doesn't do a great deal at first, as Lory starts shooting at him. The problem is, he's a moving target. Sure, she's moving around faster than him, but he keeps dancing out of the way of the shots just in time to avoid them. By the end of her initial salvo, he's actually moonwalked his way...

Over to a fire hydrant. He proceeds to hop backwards, waiting for the right moment in Lory's movements..before suddenly kicking off the cap on the side, in an effort to let the water velocity knock the bunny out of her stride. No need to get too serious yet, after all.
Lory Thumper      Lory's eyes never leave Majima as she runs. And when he kicks at that hydrant she leaps in an instant, flipping through the air to avoid the spray of water and land still running on the other side. She takes this opportunity to reach to her belt and pull free a black disk with a glowing red center. With a quick toss she sends the disk flying through the air toward the hydrant.

It attaches magnetically and lets out a single beep before exploding violently, sending out metal shards from the hydrant not to mention the jet of water that is sure to follow. And still Lory keeps running.
Majima Goro     The gambit has failed. Majima's gaze is on the incredibly fast lupine as she simply leaps over with remarkable reflexes. He cackles again, actually stopping to clap once or twice.

Then he notices, with a slow, lazy turn to the side, that there's an explosive device on the hydrant.

"...Nani desu ka--"

It explodes. Majima's sidestepping here is rather impressive, honestly. He seems to still have the same rhythm, dancing out of the way of the shards. Sure, the process is tiring, but far, far less tiring than having shards of hydrant in your leg.

Anyway, it's nearing the time he's gotta start taking this more seriously, or she'll just win by attrition, and that'll be embarassing. It seems, to the best of his estimation, that she's hellbent on keeping the circle up. He can deal with that. He keeps dancing in place, watching her movements, and waiting..

And then, suddenly, he darts forward, flipping forward and landing first on his hands, and then twisting around on the ground to swing both of his feet directly into the path of the speeding rabbit. "Waha-haaaaah-!"
Lory Thumper      Lory really didn't know what to expect when fighting a human, much less a multiversal. But so far, it seems like her exhaustive training is paying off! When Majima leaps forward, she simply...stops. What was to be her path is now just empty air. The kicks make her ears flutter from the force, but she manages to avoid being hit. "I'm sorry, I'm not sure I got that." she says with a light smirk.

As soon as Majima's kick has passed, Lory leaps forward again, this time aiming her own flying knee kick at Majima's chin. After which she takes off again. Mobility is obviously very important to her staying alive, both back home and out here in the multiverse.
Majima Goro     Alright. This is getting a little ridiculous. Majima's going to have to start taking this seriously. The bunny just stops on a time, once again, making him look like an idiot.

The pink fire stops. It flashes blue instead. He doesn't manage to move out of the way of that kick, but he moves with it. He's starting to look a little angry as he's pushed back.

"...ya wanna be like that, huh?" He brushes his mouth off a little bit. "Fine. If ya dodge this crap too, ya might just have a chance out here, eh?"

He's got to time it again, but this time, his intent is to grab Lory from behind in the course of her running about.

Heat Action: Essence of Choking

If he's successful, one arm is going around her neck. The other one is going to grab her head, and in one smooth, ruthless movement, twist it to the side. Painful, quick, but somehow, nonlethal. We don't ask these questions.
Lory Thumper      Lory passes by again, but this time she doesn't quite avoid Majima in time. "Eeek!" Not surprisingly, she is rather light. And so when he -does- get a hand on her, the little bunny is easily pulled in. The grip goes around her neck and head, and the twist to the side comes. She only manages to blunt the attack with a quick jerk of her body in the same directly he is twisting so that the neck snapping attack doesn't get its full effectiveness.

But, it still hurts, and just escaping the grappling attack of the bigger, stronger human takes a lot of effort. When she slips free she is panting from the effort. She takes off away from Majima, and it seems like she isn't even going to attack him this time.

Unless one notices the small black disk at Majima's feet. The glowing center lets out a single beep, then explodes. "Nnng...wow. That is a bear of a grip you have there." she says, rubbing at her neck.
Majima Goro     That flare of fire around the ex-Yakuza is only getting fiercer, the cerulean glow intensifying as Lory finally breaks free.

"...ya know what they call me back in Kamurocho?" He asks, taking one step forward just as the device explodes.

He doesn't seem to care. He doesn't look at the boring explosion, he just lets the flames wash over him as he slowly, meaningfully steps towards the rabbit.

"I'm the fuckin Mad Dog of Shimano, little girl!" His face contorts as he starts to cackle. "Show some fuckin' respect, or I'll beat it into ya!" Speaking of which, that bat's slung out again, and with it, that blue flame turns into a brilliant golden light.

Hopefully, she can't run around as quickly now that he's had his hands on her. He swings the bat vertically, but--nowhere near close enough to hit her. It's only as he puts his weight on the bat, and then flips himself over, that it becomes clear.

The bat isn't the weapon. His body is. He's just using the bat as a fulcrum to flip those steel-toed shoes around to deliver a solid, meaty blow to the rabbit's face with them.
Lory Thumper      Lory has to take notice when that glow intensifies. Is he actually on fire? She doesn't think so since she wasn't burned, but...what does it mean? Her ears perk as she is accused of being disrespectful and she looks confused. "Wh-..but I don't think I've been..."

The sentence remains unfinished as Majima flips through the air. The flips causes her instincts to react, sending her to the side. But that wasn't the actual attack, and when Majima comes flying in with that steel-toed kick Lory barely has time to spin around. The blow hits her back instead, where that riot shield she carries manages to deflect and absorb some of the impact.

And still sends her flying forward and rolling across the ground. She catches herself finally in a three point stance, wincing from the blow. "Maybe you should show some yourself! Don't think that just because I'm a small rabbit that I'll just roll over and give up!"

Still tired from her struggle to escape Majima's grip she stays where she is for now and crouches on a knee to fire a few shots from her pistols. "It doesn't really matter what your title is to me! If you're my enemy, I won't let you win!"
Majima Goro Majima's feet clang against the riot shield. He ends up awkwardly landing on the ground, though it doesn't take him more than a moment to get back up.

...It's in this moment that he starts to laugh. "..Ya takin' this too seriously, Bunny-chan~" He starts to sound genuinely unhinged, his smile growing more sadistic. As she draws the pistols out, he...pulls his jacket aside, letting her fire directly on him. His gaze just grows more intense from that one eye.

"Neeheheheeeeeh!" That bat's put away again. That yellow fire flares out...only to return an intense, infernal violet. He slowly unsheathes a knife.

"Nyehahah!" He...throws the knife upwards in an arc towards Lory, but it's lazy. She could dodge it in a second. Heck, there's enough time for Majima to rush in with a spinning backwards roundhouse kick, that...still isn't close enough to hit Lory in the slightest.

It is, however, close enough to the falling knife to kick the handle and send it spiralling towards her stomach.

"...it's kind of pathetic."
Lory Thumper      Lory watches that impressive display with wide eyes, and her little bunny nose wiggles as she watches that infernal aura. The knife going up and the incoming kick both seem to be of low danger. Until that knife comes rocketing in from being kicked! She manages to dive roll away from being stabbed in the stomach, but gets a slash across her side nonetheless. "Nng!"

She rolls back to her feet after the leap, a frown on her face. "What do you mean?! A fight is serious! And..." she exclaims, then her voice gets a bit quieter. "...did you call me Bunny-chan?" She is unsure what she thinks of this. It seems like it might be insulting, but it is also supposed to be an expression of affection and familiarity.

When he says her seriousness is kind of pathetic though, that makes fur ruffle a bit. She pulls her shield around into her hands and pulls out a police baton. "I'll show you serious!" she exclaims, rushing forward at Majima and aiming some quick blows from that baton at his sides.
Majima Goro     The bunny's not bad. Majima's prediction may just come true.

While she's busy preparing herself, he's rushed over to recover the knife. Normally he recovers it /from/ his target, but she's just--so nimble. He's starting to wear down a bit, this is getting ridiculous.

"...Heeehehah..." He lets his head hang down, and as Lory comes back at him...the knife is brought to bear back just in time to help deflect the baton. The hits still ring, though, and it's starting to take its toll on the man.

"... ya got chops." He admits, with a wide, cyclopsean-eyed grin on his face. "...but so do I, eh?"

There's a car nearby. Lory's still pretty worn down. Majima's still got plenty of energy, which makes it a fine time to push off of one heel, and with the knife out...

He's like a tornado, that knife spinning around and around as he dances in and out of range of the police bunny, trying to nail as many strikes as he can!
Lory Thumper      Lory smirks as Majima admits she has chops. "You are definitely danger-OUS!!"

The last sylable is emphasized as she dodges back and forth and jumps and dives, the knife slicing so close each time but just barely being avoided thanks to the shield or just her quick movements.

After one particularly high jump she comes down and aims a baton blow at Majima's forehead, followed by a spinning trip kick to try and bring him down to the floor before aiming another baton blow. If Majima is familiar with such things, he might recognize the poise and style of a proper martial art.
Majima Goro ...Majima's not used to fighting someone this much faster than himself. Alright. What's left in the ol' bag of tri--

Then the world suddenly twists, as Lory successfully gets a leg down to trip him. This isn't as effective as she hopes, however. As he lands, he brings his arms down, twisting around and pushing himself upwards and out of the way of the baton swing. Phew. Well. He wanted a challenge for once. Now he's got one.

He draws out something different, this time. It...it looks like one of those counter-top stoves you see in college dorms. And it's on, somehow. How is it on? It's not plugged into anything. He stalks forward one moment, and then in a swing...

Heat Action: Essence of Portable Stove

Honestly, there's nothing particularly graceful going on. The man has a functional portable stove in his hand, and all he's going to do with it is shove it directly into Lory's face.
Lory Thumper      Is that...a stove? Lory is highly confused by this. Not only because who the crap attacks with a portable stove, but also where did he keep it and how is it running?! And to top it off, he tries to smack her in the face with it?!

She only manages to avoid getting grill marks on her face thanks to a quick sidestep. But, that just means the follow through from the swing catches her in the shoulder. She yelps and winces as it burns, and rolls away from Majima. She slips her shield and baton back into their carriers and pulls her pistols again, returning to her tactics from earlier in the battle. She takes off running again as bullets start peppering Majima once more. "Where were you even carrying that stove?!"
Majima Goro There's a quirk of the brow. "...Eh?"
Majima stil has the stove, and he's able to use it as a helpful defensive tool from the bullets. Sadly, the appliance is mostly wrecked in the process. "...In my hands, ya blind or somethin'? Cause I don't THINK I hit ya face with it..."

Anyway, that weird question aside, he discards the stove for now.

Now he's got to start getting clever, or this is basically over. That purple flare turns blue, the knife gone again. He's gotta time this just right. For now, he shelves the fancy moves. He's just going to move from side to side, taking the time to watch Lory's movements, before moving in simply to throw a few jabs here. A kick there. It looks flashy, but it honestly doesn't seem that painful.
Lory Thumper      Not that painful, but still painful. And even while trying to fend off the blows Lory is taking some purposefully deep breaths to try and regain some energy. This sparring session has been long, and she isn't sure how but Majima's attacks have been tiring her out. With him in close she holsters her pistols and engages him in hand to hand combat.

Each hit she parries or avoids is met with a blow of her own, her paws moving like lightning and her kicks delivered with animal swiftness. "No! I mean...you didn't have it before! Did you?" she tries to explain. Majima doesn't seem like the brightest lightbulb in lamp, but she's trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe some kind of magic and he just doesn't think it merits explaining?
Majima Goro There we go.

Majima doesn't seem to mind the extended sparring session, even if he's starting to sweat, and the gashes and little cuts are starting to add up into something problematic. It's good exercise! You gotta get that adrenaline going once in a while. It's not good for you.

As Lory tries to deliver an offensive, he turns out to be rather problematic to attack. Even as tired as he is, he's just as capable of blocking attacks hand to hand as he is with the knife or bat.

And as soon as he finds a weak point, he steps back. That bat's back out, and this time...well. He's gonna end this, one way or the other.

Heat Action: Essence of Slugger

The first move is a sweeping strike, to attempt to bring Lory down to her knees. If it so much as slows her for a moment, he readies himself, and putting the last he's got in himself, he swings directly for a devastating blow directly to the head.

If not...hell, he's outta ideas. He might as well call it.
Lory Thumper      Lory is obviously a bit frustrated that her own attacks turn out to be just about as ineffective as Majima's. But, even when he finds a weak point, it turns out to not be as weak as it first seemed. The sweeping strike is lept over by the nimble bunny, and the follow up swing is met with a foot to steal just a bit of momentum from it. It looks like it hurts at first as it sends Lory into a spiral...

But she is actually using the extra force to try and add some power to spiraling aerial roundhouse aimed at his head in return.
Majima Goro ...
Majima's bat comes up even as he misses his swing. It's up at least to let him survive the bunny's attack, and he's too tired to really put much give up against it anyway. He rolls with it, even, stumbling a little to the side.

He puts his hand up. "...arright. ...ya know what? ...good enough. I'm done. That's good enough. Ya win." He shakes his head, turning away from the police officer.

"...I gotta be /up/ tomorrow, girl. Ya take way too long ta take down." He offers a wave, literally just..turning to abandon the fight.
Lory Thumper      Lory lands after the attack, then blinks in surprise and her ears lower. "Oh...alright then." she says, then bows lightly. "Thank you for your time! I learned a lot! And maybe you're right. I mean, this place makes sure you can't really hurt each other so I guess I could take it less seriously. Um...I'm sorry if you didn't enjoy it."

She pulls off her helmet and offers a wave back as he turns to leave.
