Owner Pose
Lory Thumper      Since she put out the invitation, Lory Thumper is already in the arena. As usual she is dressed in her full riot gear including a shield and helmet. She has also set up the field as a large city intersection. Two four lane streets intersect to form a pretty large flat area, and various things litter the sidewalk such as street lights, parking meters, newspaper vending machines, and other such things.

Lory is standing at the far side of the intersection facing the entrance to the arena, doing some stretches and checking her weapons as she waits.
S6     A seemingly ordinary white-haired woman arrives through the arena gate, clad in a black and scarlet uniform. A boxy drone floats beside her, robotic hands dangling beneath it. Of note, her eyes are obscured behind an opaque black visor that appears to be metal or ceramic. Her pace is steady, measured, and quite suddenly comes to a halt when the machine beside her speaks.

    -COORDINATES REACHED.-
    "Officer Thumper," S6 states.
    -COMMENCING VRCS CALIBRATION.-

The vaguely at-attention stance shifts into a readied pose. She keeps her hands free. And yet her weapons move. The katana slides from its scabbard with a flourish, golden runes swirling about its hilt. Its mate, a much larger odachi, soon joins the blade floating just behind her.

    -STATUS READY.-
    "Good evening."
Lory Thumper      Lory blinks a bit at the sudden stop when the machine speaks up, but reminds herself that S6 herself is a machine. She watches those two weapons pull free of their sheathes without any apparent source of force. "Heh. Good evening." she says back, settling into a ready stance herself. "Glad to see that Lost Logia didn't do you any lasting harm." she says as she pulls her twin pistols from their holsters. "And hello to you as well." she says, looking toward the little drone that is floating around S6. She doesn't know just how sentient it is compared to S6, but didn't want to be rude.

The bunny looks at S6 again after that, then smirks lightly. "Hope you are ready for a good fight! Aaaand...go!" she says, taking off at a dead run. Her short legs are a blur of motion as she strafes around S6, and a couple of rounds from those gauss pistols lance like bolts of light through the air. "I was pretty impressed with how you handled that Logia! I wasn't sure about you after that stare when we first met."
S6     "The damage was moderate, though localized," S6 responds when the matter of the Lost Logia comes up, "Repairs were straightforward enough." The Pod's response is cut enough to be a programmed one. A simple and straightforward:

    -HELLO.-

And then the rabbit is off. Concealed behind her visor, S6's eyes track the motion while her body remains stock still. The Pod rotates, however, clearly tracking her movement.

The gauss pistols fire, and S6's weapons react. The first several rounds are missed, burying themselves into her body or grazing past her. The latter two, however, are deflected by the twin swords hovering around her. S6 lifts her hand, examining the dark red fluid marring her white glove with a thoughtful noise.

    -HIGH SPEED PROJECTILE CALIBRATION COMPLETE.-
    -ENGAGE VRCS OPERATIONS.-

    "Right."

S6 crouches suddenly, her odachi sweeping out in a sudden slash. This sails wide of Lory, however, cleaving a lamppost instead. As it falls, the post's midsection becomes surrounded with a ring of golden runes, and it floats there.

The pavement cracks beneath S6's feet before she hurls herself into motion. The Odachi sweeps back to her, while she leads with the smaller katana, sweeping in broad arcs guided by gestures of either hand.
Lory Thumper      Lory's eyes widen a bit as those swords twirl to block a number of her bullets. It's pretty impressive to stop bullets with swords, no matter what the method of wielding! The first swing gives Lory a bit of confidence since it sails wide, but when the lamppost starts to hover while covered with gold runes that transforms the confidence to worry.

Lory is still moving when S6 charges in with the smaller sword. A quick spiraling leap lets her avoid getting hit directly by the blade, but it still catches her in the side. The armor keeps it from going too deep, just a shallow cut really. Lory races away once again after that, but in her wake she leaves a yellow disc of the kind kept on her belt.

The disc grenade explodes a moment later, and a fairly large amount of riot foam is released, threatening to coat and harden on S6 to hinder her movements. As that is happening, more of those gauss rounds lance through the air at near light speed.
S6     -CAUTION-

S6 digs her heels in right when the riot mine is deployed. She springs back right as it explodes, splattering her uniform. By the time she touches down, it's already hardening, and the android bares her teeth as she struggles to break herself loose. Divided between two tasks, her sword's defense is a bit less focused, with more rounds sinking into her chassis. Breaking one arm free, she states, "Pod." while prying at the other.

The Pod's response is immediate. It swivels towards Lory, sides opening up to display several angled VCS ports. After a brief pause, a cluster of mini-missiles erupts from the machine, arcing skyward and then descending on the rabbit officer with multiple lightweight explosive payloads.
Lory Thumper      "WOAH!" is all Lory manages before starting to zig and zag. She manages to avoid any direct hits, but it is pretty hard to dodge an entire explosion. When the missile rain ends she comes rolling out of a could of smoke, smoldering from the explosions and wincing from both the pain of her ringing ears and the pain of many bruises. "Nnng...okay, I really need to get me one of those." she says before she takes off again.

This time she pulls her shield from her back after holstering one of her pistols and charges right at s6. She tries to knock S6 over with a flying shield tackle to the midsection, then as she bounces back she fires a few more shots with her gauss pistol. "What'd you do with that lightpost anyway?" She looks over to see if it is still floating there after her attack.
S6     Breaking free of the hardened foam while her Pod does some of the heavy lifting, S6 is soon ready to move again. Such that when Lory comes at her with a shield, the android braces herself. The impact is solid, causing her to step back and dig her heels in-- but she doesn't go down. Instead, with her hands free due to the VRCS, she curls her fingers around the edges of that shield.

Several rounds of Gauss pistol fire find their way into her once more. Flickers of gunfire light glisten off the visor hiding her eyes. When the question about the lamppost is asked, S6 shifts slightly.

Said lamppost swings in suddenly from the side, at an angle that even if it misses, it slams into the ground. A blow that mangles it beyond recognition, and causes the runes to fade.
Lory Thumper      With her shield held, Lory is preoccupied trying to get it free as that street light comes in. She notices too late and can only let out a yelp as she is smashed into the ground. It takes her a few moments to stumble back to her feet, and she is obviously feeling it when she does. One eye stays closed against the pain and she looks like she is seeing stars. "Oh...ehehe. I see." she says dazedly. She shakes her head to try and clear it, then mmphs. This might have just gone from manageable to outclassed.

The bunny doesn't have a lot of options. All she has are her speed and her few police weapons. But, she does have a few tricks up her sleeves. She flicks a switch on her guns and a pair of needle-like prods extends from each one. She runs in close again and fires them at S6, and assuming they hit a pretty high voltage and a small number of amps are released into the android.
S6     That's not a trick S6 was prepared for. Sucking up damage from small arms will eventually take her down, but it's relatively localized damage. She can work through some of that, barring something critical taking an unforseen hit. Electricity doesn't work so cleanly. For the first second or so, she endures, but when something pops, the android lets out a groan which quickly becomes a pained shout. Unlike many living targets, though, she doesn't keel over. Rather she staggers back, grabbing at the leads and prying them free of herself.

S6 visibly smokes. It's unclear where that's coming from.

She quickly assesses her situation, then settles on a course of action. With a gesture, her smaller sword darts ahead, spinning like a sawblade. With that to keep Lory moving, S6 reaches back and collects her Odachi in one hand. The blade is reversed, pulsing with magic along the edge, and when she finally swings it-- the light leaps from the weapon in a crescent-shaped energy wave directed at Lory's predicted evasion path.
Lory Thumper      The predicted evasion path is pretty accurate! Even though she does a decent job ov avoiding the center of that energy wave, the tail end catches Lory and sends her sliding across the ground, sprawled out from the hit and looking pretty bad off now. Her visor is cracked, her shield too, and she has to wipe some red from her mouth and keep pressure on a wound in her side. "Nnn...gotta end this quick somehow..." she says to herself.

She gets back to her feet, then pulls a couple of those grenades from her belt again. She throws them like ninja stars, and the discs sail through the air just as well. But this time it is a combination of grenades. A few of those yellow ones, and then some black ones. The riot foam seeks to cover and slow S6 again, and the black ones...well those just explode. Then another set of black ones. And another. And another.

Several sets of those explosions happen, the compact but powerful HE grenades meant to take out a major opponent rather than non-lethally subdue a less dangerous one.
S6     S6 plants her foot, making a yanking gesture. Her katana whips back from where it spins, in the same instant that the android hurls herself foward, meeting the weapon halfway and just keeping on the move. She charges right through bursting grenades, showered by foam and shrapnel. A smoldering, tattered android erupts from the smoke and flame, trailing embers from her singed uniform. A crack runs down her visor, emitting a bright blue-white glow.

Both swords spin to life, but S6 is also involved. She leads on Lory with her smaller sword, immediately chaining into the larger in a flurry of blows, accentuated only by sounds of effort.

It ends when the Odachi slams into the pavement and gets stuck.
Lory Thumper      Lory watches in a bit of awe as S6 just charges right through the explosions! The bunny starts to leap away, but just can't quite outspeed the hits. She doesn't take any one serious cut, but plenty of smaller cuts quickly add up, and after the attack Lory stumbles back before finally falling over.

The arena resets, and thankfully all the damage fades away. Lory mmphs softly as she gets back to her feet, then looks up at S6 and sighs before smirking lightly. "Well, I hate to lose but you won fair and square." She holds up a hand, and her smirk turns to a proper smile. "I'll get you next time, though!"
S6     The rabbit is down. S6 remains hunched forward, panting. Only after the damage has reset does she rise to her full height once more. Lifting a hand in a gesture, her smaller katana flips up and spins around-- sliding into its scabbard. The odachi shudders, wrenching free and likewise returning to its home.

She pauses, looking at that same raised hand, she flexes her fingers. This is lifted more, touching the visor on her face as if she were adjusting a pair of glasses. She then lowers it to her side when her POD chimes.

    -COMBAT LOG STORED-

"It was enlightening," the android comments, "Your capabilities are impressive. Thank you for the experience, Officer Thumper."
Lory Thumper      Lory's offered hand seems either ignore or misinterpreted. She holds it there for a few more moments, then rolls her eyes lightly and smirks a bit. "Here." She moves forward and grips the hand that S6 lowered to her side, then gently shakes up and down with an exaggeration of the movements. "It's a handshake. A way to show appreciation and respect to someone else. I'm not sure if they have them where you come from or not, but just in case they didn't. I'd rather not think a comrade who just I just had a very productive sparring session with didn't respect me at least a little."
S6     "Hm?" A noise escapes when Lory seizes her hand. The concerted effort to teach her the method and meaning of a handshake is accepted with an apparently impassive face. Mostly because the visor covering her eyes does a good job of hiding how they've widened in surprise. Her hand is slack for only a few moments, before she firms up her grip and returns the handshake more naturally.

"..I see," S6 eventually gets out, her voice soft, "It wasn't...a lack of respect." She lifts her hand again, staring at her palm, "...I do not regularly deal with humans-- Humanoids-- in a direct fashion. My kind are not equivalent to humans in Indus."
Lory Thumper      Lory nods at that, though her smile turns to a bit of a frown at the revelation. "I know you are just a machine, but I don't see how anyone can dismiss you as not a person. It's like that loud king guy says. It isn't really how you came to be that determines if you are a person. It's how you live, how you feel, what you do with your life...you know, the important stuff."

Lory watches S6 for a few moments as the android stares at her palm. "Better get used to dealing with them now, though! That's what most of the Paladins are, you know. I mean there's a few other robots like you, but we organics are a lot more common." She reaches to pull her helmet off, making it easier to see her face. "And just some advice? If that visor of yours is retractable or removeable, that'll probably help you connect. People like it when they can see someone's eyes. It's still an advantage in combat, though."
S6     While Lory speaks, S6's gaze remains fixed on her palm, though her hand shifts slightly into a more uplift-like posture. Quoting the King of Heroes pulls a thoughtful noise from the android. Something she either hadn't heard or hadn't considered. Or had she known it and just refused to acknowledge it?

"Mmm..." Her hand raises, tapping the visor over the bridge of her nose. In a flicker of magic, the eyewear disappears, "I wear it out of habit. It contains the interface to my VRCS and relays scanner information from my Pod. But it is unnecessary for social interaction."
Lory Thumper      Lory blinks at that. "Huh. That's kind of unusual, isn't it? I mean...an android doesn't need a visor to see readouts, right?" She gives a slight shrug. "But, maybe someone thought it looked cool, or wanted the modular ability that gives you." She continues to watch the android studying her own hand. "Are you the kind of android that eats? Or do you just plug in and recharge? I'm always hungry after a good sparring session."
S6     "It was initially designed for human use," S6 states, "Adapted for use by androids. An integrated interface would also be more difficult to repair. Many of my components are similarly modular." Silver eyes shift sidelong to her Pod, which chimes. Her gaze returns to Lory, "So long as I avoid particularly oily foods, it is fine."
Lory Thumper      Lory blinks at that, seeming a bit surprised. Not by the repurposing of technology for ease of repair, but the oily foods thing. "Wait, really? I thought oil was good for robots?" she says, then pauses. "Well...I guess that would be more for mechanical robots. And I have no idea just how intricate your design is. Anyway, I don't eat a lot of oily foods myself. Mostly vegetables. No meats for me. Although...salad dressing." she says, nearly conversing with herself.

She blinks again, then looks up at S6 again since her head drifted down as she pondered. "Does it matter what kind? I have an itch for some good stir fry."
S6     "I am closer to electronic than mechanical," S6 states in that even tone. Her posture shifts, one hand resting near the other elbow. The dietary admission doesn't surprise her at all, but she sees no need to voice it. Instead, she nods once and steps past the rabbit cop, "Yes. That will be alright."
