When the Elites come out of the warp gate leading to the oddly named Virtua City, they are greeted by chunky architecture, brightly colored signs, and a whole lot of shoulderpads. The sound of gunfire can be heard down the block from where they arrive, and following the noises leads to a a pair officers in black and white armor bearing the VCPD's insignia. They would be there to greet everyone, but the officers are mildly occupied with firing towards the entrance of a jewelry store with a bright green sign with MAXI in vaguely script-ish lettering on it.

"Geez.. How many of these punks are there? Did we even bring enough ammo?" The blonde one remarks as he loads another clip into his pistol, then fires several shots from underneath the police cruiser to take the legs out from underneath one of the more well-dressed robbers.

"Too many. Are the Elites here yet, James?" The redhead replies, glancing backwards briefly before firing off a volley of six shots rapidly, bringing a leather jacketed robber to his knees and making another gangster in blue do a fairly impressive backflip after getting shot in the face. The car they're taking cover behind catches fire, though, and the cops are forced to pick between getting shot in the open or remaining dangerously close to a car that's about to explode!

Luckily, something strangely fortuitous happens: A ten-foot robot decked out in red, white, and blue coloring appears, shoving the flaming vehicle into an alley where it safely(ish) explodes before squatting in place and providing impromptu cover. "Ain't late to the party, am I?" Tina asks with a cowgirl-esque drawl as she slides into cover with the officers, drawing confused looks from the pair followed by shrugs, and then continued shooting towards the gangsters robbing the store.

Meanwhile, the interior of the jewelry store is already in the middle of getting ransacked, with several masked gunmen working on grabbing everything that isn't nailed down while others chase around hostages yelling at the robbers to not shoot them and flailing their arms wildly in the air. Some of those robbers start filtering out of the jewelry store while others start popping out from the fire escape and the roof of a nearby building, poised and ready to start firing on the officers.
Big Boss Machinegun Kid always wanted to rob something. Tall, wearing a bandana around his forehead, a Western-style outfit crossed with a military uniform, and carrying a big gun, a light machinegun to be exact. The gunner is not here to aid the police officers.

He's inside the building, corraling hostages. Waiting for the Elites to arrive. He speaks to several of the robbers. "Alright, keep movin', partners. We've got a time crunch, and it's not gonna be my neck on the noose, y'all hear?" His accent is basically what happens if you cross a true Brit with a cowboy's slang.

As the officers shoot at the door, there's a return volley of fire from the LMG, enough to make them need to take cover. "Ain't nobody's gonna get hurt! Just play nice and everything's gonna be okay, y'all understand?"
Corona Arclite Well there's already a robot here, so who's going to notice the custom vehicle the looks like it rolled off the Fury Road pull up the street near the jewelry store?

At least until it becomes hard to not notice when the spotlights shine over the front of the store, bright enough to be mildly blinding and annoying even in broad sunlight. A moment later Corona sticks her head out the driver side window, briefly tipping her hat in polite but very quick cowboy greeting. "Y'all were callin' fer some help?" Suprise suprise someone else dressed like a cowboy and speaking in the drawling accent to match. Though this one is at least obviously 'not from around here' also in being a fox, but is that even weird anymore by this point?

As gunfire rattles off she yips and ducks her head back in, a few sparks flying from bullets hitting the vehicle's reinforced plating. "Sounds like the party's a'ready started here, hoo boy!"
Rebecca Chambers Virtua City. What an interesting name. Then again, the Multiverse always has some rather unique names and places.

A robbery at a jewelry store, now that's standard fare for cop shows and things of that nature.

Only, this is definitely not entertainment, this is a real life situation here in the Multiverse.

Approaching quickly to where the officers are, Rebecca briefly flashes her badge (with her S.T.A.R.S. ID still intact) before attempting to take cover near them as well. "Looks like I got here just in time," Rebecca says as she draws her Beretta and pops out to try to open fire on the criminals.

A moment later, there's a blast of LMG gunfire, and in a split second, Rebecca has taken cover again. "Just what are we dealing with in there?" She asks to nobody in particular, blurting it out on the spur of the moment.
Rosa Borrasca Seems that the jaguar got a ride with the fox. Thankfully that custom vehicle has room for a passenger. She hops out of the passenger side once they stop, but then quickly presses herself against the vehicle once the gunfire rips towards them.

"Hell, and to think all I brought are my fists. Wonder if I can block bullets with them." She really doubts that, though truthfully she's never tried so it might be a first time for anything.
Tina Natsumi The gangsters seem thoroughly enthused by the assistance of the Britishly accented, yet distinctly cowboy western Machinegun Kid, and his efforts with the LMG keep the pair of officers and the cowgirl outside pinned down through sheer volume. Some of the gangsters are even chasing people out the back door, including one in bulky body armor that looks even more heavy duty than that worn by the gangsters. The body armored gangster jerks sideways as one of the blue jacketed ones near him takes a nasty shot to the shoulder.

"Dang, pard! You goin' for the bandito-style cowboy, huh? Well, bad news for you, 'cause this cowgirl's playin' the part of the sheriff!" Tina shouts out boldly as she pops out from behind her Persona to fire off a few quick shots, taking out another gangster near Machinegun Kid and knocking a few bangles off their pedestals.

Bizarrely, Virtua City seems like the place that's incredibly fragile to the point of absurdity. There's a lot of exploding glass as the gunfire continues, but nobody appears to be bothered by it. A sign advertising Maxim's new lineup gets knocked off the wall, and another machinegun can be seen floating in its place. Somehow.

The arrival of a second cowboy just adds more confusion to the mix since there's now two of them firing at one of them, but one's British, one's a fox, and one's a blonde. Some of the gangsters inside are blinded by the bright lights of Corona's and Rosa's vehicle, making them sitting ducks for the incoming shots from Rebecca.

"Thanks for the assist, gals! I don't think I've ever seen any cowgirls in my movies like you lot before, though..." "Can it, James. We've got work to do!" "Alright, alright... Sheesh." With that bit of banter between the cops done, they shift their attention to trying to get closer to the jewelry store. Gangsters pop up from the nearby apartment complex (and promptly fall off as they're shot) and within the the upper floors of the jewelry store, all of them taking aim and firing in steady bursts at the gathered Elites, spurred on by Machinegun Kid's presence. With the additional cover to work with, though, the cops and Tina (and her Persona) start to advance!

"If y'all ain't got guns of yer own, I got just the thing!" Tina boasts proudly as the back of Uncle Sam's legs pops open, rows of handguns and revolvers open for the taking. They're nothing particularly fancy, but there's plenty to use in this target-rich environment. Civilians are still running amok supposedly trying to avoid getting shot in the crossfire, but some of them seem to have a questionable sense of personal awareness when they stand, shuffle slowly to the right while shouting "Don't shoot!", and then shuffle back to the left out of harm's way.
Big Boss Machinegun Kid is a bit enthusiastic about Tina's arrival, but Corona's arrival just makes him blink, before responding to Tina. "Sheriff, huh? Well, like the legendary Billy the Kid would, I'm gonna rob this place clean. I'm not just any crook, though." The LMG suddenly turns out the door. Those paying attention can probably tell this isn't just a guy with a big gun.

This is a highly trained soldier. One who knows exactly how to use his weapon of choice.

The LMG goes blasting through the jewel cases and shatters the windows, scattering through the streets and towards each of the Elites coming in, strong suppressive fire, as Machinegun Kid starts pushing back from the main floor and towards the exit. Glass explodes near him, causing him to roll for the take, as he swaps out his LMG's ammunition with his bandolier. "Get the hostages moving! I'll keep them busy while you guys barrel away."

Machinegun Kid's shouting towards his compatriots, though he plans to join them as soon as the coast is clear, and continue shooting on the run.
Rebecca Chambers "Don't worry about it," Rebecca says as she attempts to advance towards the jewelry store as well, also firing upon the criminals in the apartment building. "Just trying to do my job here," She adds as she slaps another clip into her Beretta. One thing she seems to have noticed is that ever since she entered Virtua City, she seems to have an endless supply of clips. Always a good thing to have plenty of ammunition.

She manages to take out a few of the criminals who are blinded by the light, but then the LMG is fired off again, and Rebecca is forced to dive out of the way. She feels one of them graze her arm, and while it just barely misses her, she still feels the slight sting of nearly being hit by the bullet.

"Damn," Rebecca says as she stands up and dusts herself off. "I should've brought my tactical shield with me." She takes a moment to catch her breath before regrouping with the VCPD officers.
Corona Arclite "Well, there ya go Rosie," Corona drawls as Tina opens her mech's arsenal for borrowing purposes. Before ducking back down as the machine gun suppression fire shatters glass and bombards across the street. And her vehicle, knocking chunks out of it's ablative plating. She snorts as she taps something on her arm device, pulls her goggles on all the way, and grabs something out of her own oft bottomless seaming arsenal of guns and gadgetry.

Then knocks open the top panel of the vehicles reinforced rollcage and stands up as she pulls some manner of launcher up and onto her shoulder. "Homage. Cute. But playtime's over." There's a plume of launch smoke as she fires into one of the now shattered open windows.

Despite the appearance of the 'weapon' it isn't an RPG and doesn't explode. Instead it deploys its own stabilizers and starts buzzing around, shooting little peashooter guns from it's nosecone as Corona tries to steer it towards crooks and away from any civilian looking hostage types.
Rosa Borrasca She's not super comfortable with guns, but it's not like she's never handled one either. Rosa grabs one of them, a semi automatic, and tucks it into her waistband, before picking up a revolver as well, "Thanks!" She calls out to the mech pilot, before she heads back over to Corona's vehicle.

Using it as cover from the LMG fire, she leans out around the side, taking careful aim with the weapon before squeezing off a single shot at one of the criminals. She's aiming for anyone still exposed, though the guys inside have hostages, "How surrounded are these guys?" She asks the two cops, "They gonna try to book it out the back? Maybe we should cut them off just in case. That's the route I'd go if it's not covered."
Tina Natsumi "How'd the boss get this guy on board?" "Who cares? Let's get going while we can! "We'll never forget ya, MK!"

Why are the gangsters already writing Machinegun Kid off? Maybe it has something to do with how fragile they are themselves. Shots to the legs and arms are enough to put the gangsters down, the primary threat they pose based on the sheer quantity of them and their shots coming from just about everywhere. Between Machinegun Kid's LMG fire and the goons still firing on the Elites and the cop duo from within and outside the store, it's going to be hard to approach the store!

It's quickly becoming a fighting retreat, though, as Corona's drone blasts through a window and lays down further surpressing fire on those still trying to hold their position. There's a few more backflips, some go down clutching their hands, and a whole lot of glass and jewelry being blasted apart.

The gangsters in the apartment buildings likewise start thinning out from getting shot in their bandana'd faces by Rebecca's long-distance Beretta sniping, dropping from fire escapes and some even landing on top of others charging out of nearby alleys. Rosa's got an easy time picking targets from the gangsters absent-mindedly charging out from behind pillars and the previously mentioned alleys, and their armor doesn't seem to do much against the sheer impact of those guns leaving them flat on their backs or worse.

The cops are stalled long enough, though, that there's a loud crashing noise from behind the store as several cars burst out of an alleyway one after the other. "... Guess that answers that question." James remarks to Rosa as the cars go speeding down the street away from the jewelry store, although a few sedans and an armored truck skid to a stop nearby. A lumpy-headed bald man pokes his head out of the window briefly to fire off a few honest-to-god MISSILES at the Elites. Another police cruiser goes up in flames, and Tina winces as those missiles leave nasty scorches on herself and Uncle Sam alike.

"Come on before I change my mind, punk!" He shouts at Machinegun Kid in a gravelly voice, dipping his head back in as bullets plink off the side of his truck and giving Machinegun Kid some time to jump in the back before taking off.

"There's still another cruiser left... Come on, James! The rest of you!" The browd-haired cop waves at the Elites to get in their vehicles of choice before sliding into one of the remaining cruisers followed by James/the blonde cop.

"Don't worry, ladies. Michael's just shy when he's focused." The blonde cop seems to be taking it in stride even as he joins Michael in that cruiser, the brunette looking all-business and unflinching in the face of James trying to mess with him. The cops are followed by Tina climbing into the back of the cruiser while her Persona, Uncle Sam, clambers onto the top of it. "That so? Heh... Well, I'll keep y'all locked an' loaded!" Indeed, the Persona is more than capable of tossing handguns around as needed, and it even drops several into the cruiser to mitigate the need for the officers to spend precious seconds reloading.

.

Once everyone's gotten into their vehicles of choice, the car chase through the city is on! There's an impractical number of vehicles speeding through the streets, ignoring traffic lights since most of them are loaded with gangsters that pop out from the windows with their entire torsos exposed while they lay down LMG fire of their own. Civilians, meanwhile, continue to display their complete lack of awareness as they run across the street, barely avoiding getting clipped by the police cruiser despite doing so with fearful looks on their faces. Why didn't they just wait on the sidewalk?
Big Boss Machinegun Kid gets shot at by the drone. He keeps moving as he fires, taking a few bullets, and, perhaps to the surprise of the goons, reveals he's actually Invincible (no, he can just take more bullets than these shmucks, thanks to body armor under his outfit), even as he grunts from the pain.

As the truck pulls up, after exchanging some arguments over the radio, Machinegun Kid jumps in the back with the bald man. "Got it, Bull! Get moving, I'll suppress their steeds."

As the officers ride after them and leap into the cruiser, Machinegun Kid reloads, and then fires out a window with precision. He blasts at Uncle Sam and Corona's vehicle first and foremost. While he's doing so, he actually speaks up over the radio.

<"Do y'all even care what our motive is?"> He doesn't share it, but he's curious how dogmatic these officers are.
Rebecca Chambers While Tina grabs one back seat of Michael and James's cruiser, Rebecca quickly dashes into the back seat of the other one. She takes the time to reload her Beretta as the officers take off quickly after the bandits. She takes a moment to get her bearings, then sticks herself out the window just far enough to get a look at what's going on.

"Damn it!" Rebecca yells as a civilian is nearly hit by the cruiser. "What's wrong with people?" She mutters to herself before attempting to open fire on the nearest vehicle, aiming for whichever goon might be unfortunate enough to be in her line of fire. At the same time, she's looking around to make sure no one else might trying to attack her.
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite's little drone keeps following the gangsters right out the back door, though it's small size means it doesn't have enough small ammo to fire it's way through several vehicles. But it gives the vixen a remote view of a rediculous number of men piling into multiple vehicles and pulling away.

"Yup, exactly what they're doi--frag!" Corona drops back down into driver's seat as someone pulls up and fires missiles, while setting the drone to auto to follow the fleeing vehicles. One of the explosive projectiles hits the side of the overly modified buggy, causing it to rock on its suspension while leaving several scorch marks and shrapnel gouges in it's exterior. Followed by the Kid's own fire. But this 'steed' is built to take that sort of punishment.

Unlike most of this world, it seems. This is going to be an -interesting- chase.

Presumably Rosa is going to get back in and ride shotgun so Corona gives her a moment to do so, then throws the gears in reverse and pops off the brake to screech backwards in a reverse spin to point in the other direction. "This is gonna be one helluva rodea. Yeeeha!" She shifts back into full gear, slams down the throttle, and the outlander vehicle roars away from what remains of the jewelry shop.

Somewhere admist the pursuit Corona does manage a partial glance over her shoulder. "Hey! Ah gotta drive, get yer metal keeshter topside!" A pair of eyes flicker ominously in the dark rear compartment.

A few moments later they're revealed to belong to her mechanical sidekick, as the robotic jackalope climbs partway on top of the rollcage, and fires off a bolt of electricity from his antlers at the first criminal car to come into range.
Rosa Borrasca Rosa barely manages to make it back inside of the vehicle before Corona throws it into gear and takes off. She's holding on for dear life as things rapidly spiral out of control, "Crazy sons of bitches. I can't believe they didn't lock down the back." But she's sure they had their reason.

She leans out of the side of Corona's car, trying to take a pot shot with one of the guns she grabbed, but it's pretty much just a wild shot. Maybe she'll get lucky and hit a tire or something, "Damn. I need a machine gun or something that doesn't need accuracy."
Tina Natsumi Leaving the shooting to Machinegun Kid, the man identified as Bull gets his truck moving, followed by the cars that remained behind. Uncle Sam gets shot up a fair bit, leaving more nasty-looking gashses across Tina's arms as the damage to her Persona starts to build up on herself, but she keeps her mouth shut as she leans out of the window opposite Rebecca to start firing back. It's a token effort, considering that the truck is armored, but the sedans are quickly proving to be a nuisance as they get in the way of the officers' shots.

"We're gonna have to lose 'em. Keep firin'!" The Bull roars as he swerves around to throw off the aim of the pursuing Elites, combining with the movements of the gangsters' sedans to make hitting anyone in particular significantly difficulty.

Said sedans also seem to be as ridiculously fragile as their drivers. Tires pop off from even a single well-placed shot from Rosa, doors come flying off as Rebecca blasts those foolish enough to lean out of the windows to make sure most of their torsos are exposed before firing, and the cars even spontaneously explode (and do sick frontflips) should someone successfully shoot off all four tires at once. The electricity arcing from Corona's jackalope sidekick results in the same frontflipping explosions when it strikes a vehicle, albeit significantly faster than having to actually blast off all four tires.

"'Bull'." Michael mutters.
"That's right, it's bull! Who knew a British Cowboy would be so tough?" James pipes up with both visible and audible annoyance.
"Not that, James. That bald man is 'Bull' Bobby Louise. He's one of the top enforcers for E.V.I.L. Inc."

"... That's seriously the name?" Tina finally asks, sounding skeptical of just how dumb that sounds.
"It's an acronym for something. I didn't say it was a good name." James shrugs simply.
"Riiight. Eh. Anyway." Uncle Sam pops out a megaphone, and Tina's shouts right into it. <<"Hm... Is it a good one?">>

It's an honest question for a dubiously named organization. Whatever the case is, though, there's a LOT of gangsters coming out of the woodwork. From around the side streets, trucks start rolling in while their passengers dump out bouncing barrels at the pair of vehicles pursuing them. Hostages continue to be ever present in some of these questionably constructed vehicles, too, as they join their captors in leaning out of windows to scream "Help me!" and "Don't shoot!" while waving their arms like inflatable tube people for several seconds before ducking back inside.

The car chase eventually takes the Elites onto the highway, open for all sorts of car stunts, explosions, and even gangsters running into the road itself to take one or two shots at the cruiser and custom vehicle before they're run down or passed by entirely. The Bull's vehicle continues swerving to avoid the worst of the shots, and it doesn't look clear whether it's going to keep going straight ahead towards the DOWNTOWN area, or swerve into the exit leading towards an extended freeway on SEASIDE DRIVE.
Big Boss As the sedans explode, Machinegun Kid keeps the LMG firing as long as he can, making it incredibly dangerous for everyone...except the actual civilians. No civilians are in danger from his firing spray, because he has incredible self-control. To use a weapon with that much recoil, you kind of have to.

As the robot jackalope climbs out of Corona's vehicle, a grenade is thrown out the window and at Corona's vehicle. It'll force her to steer wildly if she doesn't want to take big explosive damage, and hopefully slow her assault on the sedans.

<"Well, I can't tell you why I do this, but I can tell you this: E.V.I.L's back in black, baby." Machinegun Kid laughs, proudly playing the role of the villain, hopefully impressing Bull and whatever superiors are watching or listening along the way.
Rebecca Chambers Rebecca pulls back inside as the gunfire comes out again... but this time she's not quite fast enough. One of the bullets hits her in the chest, albeit in her kevlar vest. The impact knocks the wind out of her requires her to catch her breath as she surveys the situation. "Got me that time..." Rebecca says, trying not to curse herself mentally, knowing that it wasn't her fault. "But we won't let him get away!"

She sticks her head out the window again, looking for any other targets that might need to be taken down.
Corona Arclite "Well, it ain't a machine gun." Corona reachs over the back of her seat with one hand to grab the sawed-off strapped there and flicks it into Rosa's lap. "But ya might as well live up to the 'riding shotgun' while the opportunity is there am Ah rawht?" Scatter fire is almost as good as machine guns, right?

The other hand is still on the wheel as Corona veers one way to avoid a flurry of gunfire, then back the other way to avoid running headlong into on-coming traffic. And then a grenade?! "HANG ON!" That's the only warning they're going to get, and there's already and audible scraping above their heads as Hopalong digs his claws into cab structure.

Corona yanks hard to one side, while using her other foot to hit one of the extra levers beneath her console. Whatever mechanism she trigger shifts the vehicles center of balance as the wheels on one side hit the highway guardrail and bounch off the impact, kicking the buggy up onto only the opposite side's tires. The not-quite-verticle angle as it rebounds away from the guardrail is enough for the grenade to sail past underneath it, only moderately buffeting with the explosion somewhere behind it. Better than a direct hit.

And thanks to the rebalancing mechanism Corona is actually driving it on two wheels like that still. So Rosa's got a higher vantage point to put that gun to use if she wants.
Rosa Borrasca The sudden driving gets Rosa to hang on, as she grabs for whatever she can manage to hold onto with one hand while cradling the scattergun in the other hand. She grunts a bit when they land, but realizes they're up on two wheels. This might not last long, so she has to make it count.

She hops up, and rises up from the open window of the vehicle, aiming at the big boss' car. Sure there's still machine gun fire and grenades and who knows what else flying every which way, but she has to take advantage. She grips the weapon with both hands, and squeezes the trigger. If this is the same one Corona used during their sparring match, it's going to pack a hell of a punch.

Indeed, the E.V.I.L. goons seem to be quite impressed by Machinegun Kid's bravado. The armored truck chugs along as those sedans seem to speed up in their swerving, taking hits from Rosa's scattergun meant for that truck and their delightfully British ally valiantly in the face of the Elites' focused carnage. The Bull, sadly, is focused on driving that truck and making sure it doesn't flip over, but he'd probably be nodding and grunting in approval if he wasn't so focused on not crashing.

He's actually a pretty good driver even in these circumstances, but there's only so much road left before he has to finally settle on a direction. That decision is made for him as Rebecca blasts another oncoming sedan, the ensuing frontflip landing it in the middle of the highway and forces him to swerve just to not crash into it.

That leaves the Bull with one clear way forward: Seaside Drive. He leaves the stunts to his allies that continue firing at the cruiser and the buggy while they try to intercept each of the vehicles. The cruiser is significantly tougher than the civilian-grade sedans, though, knocking them aside even as Michael's forced to punch out the front window for a clearer view through where bulletproof glass had been.

If only that glass was grenadeproof, too.

The gangsters have a considerably harder time taking aim at the buggy with how freaking mobile it is combined with the stunts its driver is pulling off. Some of the more reckless ones attempt to do these stunts themselves, but all they succeed in doing is crashing into a dump truck, turning the lot of them into a flaming wreck that only adds to the obstacle course that is the highway.

Motorcycles start barreling towards the Elites' chosen vehicles, some of the riders bearing SMGs and firing in passing while the more suicidal ones opt to drive directly at the vehicles armed with nothing more than pipes that will probably prove to be kind of useless considering their drivers are not immune to getting hit in the face with a cruiser or buggy.

As if E.V.I.L.'s influence on these gangsters wasn't evident enough, a new adversary appears! Several, rather, as helicopters start to do fly-bys of the Elites to assist the Bull and Machinegun Kid through the chase. One hovers near the armored truck to lay down suppressing fire from mounted machine guns, and the others have goons hanging out from the sides to lay down more machinegun fire of their own!
Big Boss As they approach forward, and helicopters come down, Machinegun Kid speaks to the others in the armored truck, and is about to fire again when he hears something over his earpiece. "Change of plans. I'm supporting the boys in the helicopters and making an exfiltration. But I believe in y'all. Don't let them tear you apart, y'hear?!"

After giving some more rallying to the goons, Machinegun Kid sighs and climbs out of the truck, leaping to a ladder dropped by one of the helicopters. He puts his machinegun on his back, pulls himself up, and fires one last round at the police group, before speaking to the helicopter driver in hushed tones.

"Let's get out of here."
Rebecca Chambers Having caught her breath and realized that she did a bit of damage to one of the enemy targets, Rebecca realizes that they're taking off again. She sticks her head out the window again, only to pull it back in when she sees the ehlicopters coming. For a moment she pauses in terror, then shakes her head, remembering that she's S.T.A.R.S., and that she can handle a LOT worse than that!

"Get with it, Becky!" Rebecca says to herself as she sticks her head out the window and opens fire on the nearest helicopter, hoping at the very least to let its pilot know that she's not going down without a fight!
Corona Arclite There's enough time for Rosa to get off a few good shots before Corona has to drop the buggy back onto all four wheels to be able to make the turn to follow the flock of fleeing gansters down to Seaside. Which isn't going to be a calm drive along the coast, rest assured.

Mostly because there's gunfire -everywhere-, and as Corona does her best to swerve away from the worst of it, there's no way to not take a share of hits. The machine is made for the rough frontier and all the dangers that come with being a gunslinging sharpshooting part-time bounty hunter, but it's going to reach an eventual limit. rAnd we also have idiots crazy enough to drive right up next to them. Swinging pipes, of all things. Or trying to jab them into vulnerable looking parts, maybe. Oh well, Corona knows how to deal with the one that comes up along her side of the vehicle.

She kicks open the door, which he promptly runs into. Mangles the door, but mangles him and his bike even more, and becomes an obstacle for the others as Corona just kicks what remains of the door loose and let it tumble off behind them.

On the other side a thug gets in with his pipe... Only to have it snatched out of his hand by the mecha-jackalope still riding on the outside. Which he chomps down much the same way a certain wascally wabbit would a carrot. Smoke puffs out the corners of his mouth as he amps up his internal furnace for a moment, then opens his mouth to spit out the now super-heated remains as shearing hot shrapnel at the tires of one of the remaining mobster cars.
Tina Natsumi "Got it, Kid! Don't worry, we'll take these coppers out if it's the last thing we do!" One of the more jubilant gangsters shouts, taking Machinegun Kid's spots at the back of the truck to blast away at the Elites with a pair of machineguns of his own. Alas, he doesn't have nearly as much control with said guns, and he mostly just ends up shooting the crap out of the highway itself and buildings in passing rather than whoever he's even attempting to aim at. The helicopter Machinegun Kid goes for remains stable as he climbs aboard, and the pilot doesn't even start to pull up until he's safely on board.

"Understood. Fang will be pleased with your efforts today." The driver replies in a similarly hushed tone as he flicks a few switches on the helicopter, dropping some flares from the aircraft as it rises higher and higher before leaving the highway and the Elites pursuing Elites below.

The helicopter closest to the Elites, meanwhile, doesn't fare quite as well. Rebecca's shots strike the rotors, causing said helicopter to spin out of control and crash into the highway, leaving it and several other cars in another flaming wreck as the cruiser swerves past it to avoid adding to the body count. Some of the less lucky pursuers, though, crash right into the wreck, causing a pileup!

The motorcyclists that Corona dispatches with the power of strategic door opening, meanwhile, add to the absolute mess that the freeway is turning into. The unlucky ones to get hit with the door go flipping head over legs several times over as their vehicles go skidding sideways, crashing into oncoming sedans and pursuing trucks before careening off the freeway. Perhaps wisely, no other drivers attempt to drive directly into the path of the buggy after that.

"Heh. Guess you could call that close quar-doors combat, eh?" Tina belts out an exaggerated laugh to take her mind off the destruction going on around her, and Michael even cracks a slight smirk at that. James, meanwhile, strongly considers the merits of jerking the steering wheel sideways to protest his continued consciousness.

After taking so many shots over an extended period of time, the armored truck's rear tire finally gives up the ghost, and the vehicle begins to swerve uncontrollably. It rams through a few barriers before swerving around a corner, reaching a packed construction site. As with anywhere else in this messed up city, there is a swarm of goons ready and waiting for the officers and the Elites helping them. Gunfire comes from all angles, and the cruiser rolls to a stop as the duo and Tina lay down their own form of suppressing fire to push them back and buy the rest of Elites some time to find cover.

The Persona user continues playing the role of mobile cover zone with Uncle Sam leading the charge, all those dings on the Persona's armor and the bloody streaks covering her face and arms not slowing her down too much.

She can't stop now. She's got an audience to impress!

The construction site is a pretty moderately-built one already, tucked in between two already mostly-built high-rises. There's plenty of spaces for gangsters to come out of, and they don't hesitate to come out of every nook and cranny to assault the Elites. From atop roofes, they jump out guns blazing and fall right off on getting shot. From inside dumpsters, they pop out brandishing and firing shotguns or tossing grenades at high arcs. Particularly crafty ones even come out from around the sides of buildings, charging forward with hatchets in hand!

To make matters worse, missiles come raining down on the Elites from above. "Ha ha ha! Where are you looking? I'm over here, cops!" A gravelly voice roars from further above, the familiar dumpy visage and orange armor of the Bull visible from over a railing. He rains missiles down on the group with gangsters joining in from all directions, opting for the time-tested strategy of overwhelming force!
Tina Natsumi And occasionally hurling exploding barrels down. Can't forget those barrels.
Rebecca Chambers So they've finally got them cornered. There's missiles and barrels coming out at a fast rate of speed. They're overwhelming all right, but Rebecca's not about to go down without a fight! She's come this far and she's not going to give up easily!

"We know where you are," Rebecca yells as she dives out of the police car and rolls towards some object that she uses as a temporary form of cover. "You may think you've got the upper hand, but the bigger they are, the harder they fall!" Rebecca says as she pops out and opens fire upon Bull. "Time to grab this Bull by the horns!"
Corona Arclite This quickly escalates into a matter of who is actually trapped with and by whom. Sure, they've been lead into a place that's fairly cluttered with obstacles and places for gunmen to take a supposed vantage point and rain bullets and missles and explosive barrels down on them.

But they probably didn't consider the finer points of who they were leading into this boxed position. Or that someone would actually take how 'fragile' the structures of this city have shown to be into consideration.

Barrels and missiles explode. And the buggy roars out of the smoke, partially on fire and starting to really show the wear and tear of the chase. The wily vixen was up to something though, if the way she was grinning was any indication. She hits a couple of switchs to deploy and rev up the vehicle's front mounted drilling apparatus. Shoves the 'Emergency Override' (ie a large cinder block) onto the gas pedal. Then grab Rosa and yanks the feline out after her doorless side, Hopalong bailing off to the top to join them.

Leaving the vehicle and it's roaring drill to charge headlong into the construction site. Aimed to ram into and bring down a portion of the structure, will all the gansters trying to use the high ground as an advantage with it. Collateral damage? Yes. -Weaponizing- Collateral Damage? Yes!

It's their fault, they're the ones that trapped her here with them.
Rosa Borrasca Finally a static position. Rosa can work with this. She bails out of Corona's vehicle, against her will, so to speak. Either way she's going out of the vehicle.

Once they land, however, she pulls herself up onto all fours, and takes off. Missiles and barrels galore, but she manages to make it through. She's burnt and smoldering from the flames, but she's inside the building. So now she can get to work.

She's going to sneak through while they're distracted with her compatriots outside, and begin to take out guards everywhere she can. She's an expert in close quarters combat, so being able to get up into their area, she can really lay waste to them.
Tina Natsumi The Elites get some respite from the Bull's lackeys courtesy of Ros and the officers. The gangsters find it nigh impossible to approach as those closest to them are first taken down with deft CQC, and then rapid gunshots from Michael and James that shoot down grenades just as easily as they do masked gunmen. Tina's never-ending gun flow from Uncle Sam helps, too, by mitigating the need to reload and adding one more obstacle between them and the gangsters themselves. She's looking a little banged up from using the Persona to tank so many hits and act as a wall between them and the actual bullets, but somebody's gotta do it!

That gives the Elites free license to unleash absolute hell on the gangsters and their gruff-voiced leader. Luckily for the Elites, the missiles and barrels alike are all incredibly prone to exploding prematurely. Even a single gunshot from Rebecca's Beretta takes the explosives out before they can reach the group, and the Bull can't quite launch them quickly enough to offset all the bullets coming his way. His armor is strong, but he can't withstand those bullets forever, and it's only getting worse as an unseen fist-fighter and multiple gunners take his supporters out. Even he realizes he's on the back foot here. With Corona's vehicle taking out some of the supports to the scaffolding he's standing on top of, the whole structure starts to buckle dangerously

"And you call us criminals? Peh... You lapdogs are even dumber than I look, so you might as well die like dogs!" The Bull falls back for a brief moment, disappearing from sight as the railing breaks off in front of where he was moments ago. An ominous shadow loom sover the Elites moments later, however, as the logo of VIRTUA COFFEE can be seen on the side of a large black truck.

Underneath the truck is the Bull. He hurls it downwards at the Elites, then busts out his missile launcher for one last ditch effort at taking them down with him before the entire structure collapses, bringing the Bull down with it!
Rebecca Chambers After all is said and done, Rebecca finds that things are taken care of. They might have been rough, but at least the situation is under control. "Well, looks like we really put him out to pasture!" She says with a chuckle, remembering how Chris made that bad remark about getting to the 'root' of the problem after dealing with Plant 42. "All in a day's work I suppose."
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite rolls a bit, gets up, and dusts herself off. Not the first time she's had to vacate a still moving vehicle, not the last time most likely either. She was going to just pull out her handcannon and join in the shooting....

Then Bull chooses his insult very poorly. Corona stops, ears perking a moment, and then laying back as she growls in a reconizable 'pissed off' expression. "Ah'm a fox not a dog, you lead-headed limp-wristed sidewinder!" Then she grabs Hopalong and as she picks him up the mecha-jackalope click-click-ka-chung into his weapon mode.

Just as the truck is about to hit the ground Corona makes use of her parkou skills to jump onto the crashing chassis, run up its length, and leap off at the end again. To swing her slag cannon in his direction. "Yippy-aye-ka-ya, truck-a-chucker!" And fire a shot of hot molten metal at Bull's position!
Tina Natsumi There's not much else left for the Bull to do but fall and get shot a lot as his footing is gone and the construction site is reduced to little more than a pile of rubble and rebar, and the truck...

Well, it's good thing the Persona-user's got a few tricks up her sleeve. Busting out a rocket launcher of her own, she fires off an explosive that blasts the whole thing apart in a shower of slag, generally preferrable to getting hit with compared to an intact truck.

With the Bull taken down along with the rest of the construction site, the officers' expressions are uncertain. Michael's the first to speak, saluting quickly towards the Elites. "Thank you for the assistance. There's... There's going to be a lot of cleanup to be done after all this."

"That's an understatement. The coroner's gonna hate us after today." James whistles lightly as he looks around slowly, taking an informal headcount of all the gangsters lying around in various states of consciousness and mortality. "Gotta be at least a hundred of them, if we're counting all the ones from the jewelry store to here."

"At least it's over for now. I don't think this is the last we've seen of E.V.I.L. Inc., but we'll be..." Michael pauses, looking back at the destroyed construction site. He holds a straight face as he looks at James who's conveniently sauntering away and whistling a merry little tune to avoid having to say anything further.

"... We'll call you."
