Raziel It comes.

You don't need to be psychic to feel this hunger.  To feel the desire of this creature.  Though those that are psychic feel it more keenly.  The world shakes as finally, the small part of the hive fleet that managed to home in on Tabor reveals itself into normal space.  While only a /small/ portion, it was still large by ship standards.  The tendril-like ship moves with purpose towards Tabor proper.

On the ground, things are no better.  The cult, even headless, still fights like zealots against all comers.  However, thanks to the efforts of those on the ground, they are contained.  In fact, even slowly losing ground in locations they thought to have under control.  Without reinforcements, they can't win, and without their Magus and 'Father' they certainly will not survive.  This does not matter to them, because despite this they throw themselves on the swords of their enemy with abandon.

Every death their enemies suffer is one more victory for the gods above.

There are many ways to approach this situation.  One could wait for the tendril to land.  It would be most vulnerable to attack and poisoning at this stage, but it would also cause damage to the planet structure itself.  Such damage would not easily go away and would be a nuisance for some time.

You could attempt to fight it with ship to ship combat in orbit.  It would be harder to damage, but even a single major wound could give you the means to deliver the deathly payload that you have.  Of course, you could all take samples of the death payload, and attempt to teleport DIRECTLY INSIDE the creature.

This is highly creative, in fact, this is FAR TOO HIGHLY CREATIVE because there is no guarantee of success.  Or survival.  However, if you succeeded, it would cause the least damage to the planet, and probably spare a great many lives over a lot longer time.  The problem is one of an exit strategy.
Majima Goro Majima's pretty sure he's super hungry for some reason. Which, y'know, kinda weird. He's been busy working, but it's not like he doesn't stop for meals. Sure, they're saying the Tyrannids are causing this, or..something. Maybe they even are. But this is some weird damn shit.

Weird damn shit that Majima doesn't really personally get to deal with. You can't really punch a spaceship. So, instead, he made some plans. Specifically, he assembled a Defense Fleet for the planet Tabor, designed to stop the weird horrifying tendril.

Except...it's a crap fleet. These ships shouldn't be in space. These ships would mildly be embarassing to be seen being repaired in drydock. They aren't even showing signs of life forms onboard, or at least, not sapient ones. Maybe he's got them rigged with AI.

What is notable, however, out in orbit, is the one ship loaded with a truly ridiculous, tremendous missile. It's painted bright red, has a black 'fuck you' spraypainted on it, and is immediately launched as soon as the Tendril appears within range. Perhaps they shoot it down, somehow. Perhaps it is dodged. Regardless, when it explodes...

There is no payload. That's a weird choice.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa knew other forces defending the planet had plans but she'd hooked up with Karian and was on board his ship. This was the highest risk of all the plans but it also had the highest rewards too they were going to board the main bioship to seek out the queen and kill it. Hopefully escaping in the process, she was going to be packing heavy gear for this, today heavy weapons were checked and loaded, her matter manipulator was fully loaded with ammo and what weapons she's chosen to bring as spares.

She then suited up into her ARM Suit awaiting deployment and was well aware she might have to write the weapon system off to get the job done. Which was something she was willing to have happen to get the job done.

<<I'm ready to go all systems checked out. Let's get this done it looks like Majima's got his plan in action as well. So shall we Karian??>>
Karian Icefang     "Aye." was all of Karian's response. He too was armed up to the teeth. Hellfire rounds within his bolter and his ever present blade at his back. Going in with him was his usual squad of wolfguard, each one similarly armed and ready for war. "My ship can't stay too close for long. I suspect they will have bioforms moving to keep the Queen safe." He says, fully expecting to not make it back.
Raziel The Tendril, swarms of hive ships seemingly connected by a single will, drive forward.  Roaring as they start merging together as they get closer to the planet.  Getting ready to send it's feeding tubes to the planet to drain it of all life.  The missile hits one of the lead ships, bouncing off of it and exploding seemingly harmlessly.  The swarm still comes, seemingly unphased by this.  They are...however, attracted to the junk fleet.

Disconnected ships fly out, many of them tearing into the fleet itself.  It doesn't matter what they bite, but most just tear ships apart whole.  Others ram them and drag them towards the main fleet, aiming to consume the biological material whole.  There is a brief moment where nothing seems to be initially happening.

Then something starts traveling through the hive fleet.  Some ships start to turn different colors, while some others start literally rotting.  From Tabor itself, there is a blast of psychic energy pouring into ships starting to sub come to the infection, enhancing the delivered payload and trying to counteract the shadow over the warp.

The poison and disease start to travel through the horde, as cohesion is starting to be lost.  If the main intelligence over the hive could be destroyed, then it would unlikely be able to create another one before the payload destroyed the fleet itself.
Majima Goro Majima, meanwhile, taps his feet. This ain't his kinda fight, but that doesn't make it not his responsibility. He's got a cigarette in one hand, and a cell phone in the other as he gives out orders.

"Yeah. we're gonna have ta get ready to take these bug-lovin' fucks down hard once that wiggly-ass thing's outta commission, cause they're gonna martyr hard."
"...What? Fuck d'ya mean why did I launch an empty missile at 'em? So that they'd think we had jack shit up our sleeves. Of course they were expecting an alpha strike. Now they're gonna eat the damn poison ships, Nishida! If you were right here, I'd smack ya upside the head for that kinda shit! Now get your damn jobs done, Majima Construction style. I gotta make sure that opening ain't wasted."

He clicks off the cell phone, moving instead to a broadband frequency he knows Karian and Kotone are available on.

"Alright, listen up! That's your fuckin' opening, right there. That's the latest in Nurgle 'fuck your shit, bugs' technology, fresh outta whatever weird-ass hole the Nurgle guys get their shit from. I don't even wanna talk about the week I had negotiatin' with those fucks, so it's up to you two to make it worth it. I'mma get these ground chucklefucks offa my planet."
Karian Icefang     With the payload delivered, the Strike Cruiser Ragnarok's engines fire off and the ship begins it's own maneuvers. Any sick and dying tyranid forms that get close are introduced to the cruiser's macro-cannons and other weaponry. It couldn't stay long, and that meant only one type of insertion, though it was high risk already. Karian would lead his men towards the drop pod bays. "Today...we kill a queen." He orders simply, nothing more said as the pods wait for their moment to release and bore into the main ship.
Kotone Yamakawa Majima has a plan, she's sene him in action and he's always been on the level when she's worked with him he asks for the strike team to hold off to let the queen eat some of his junker ships? Then he's totally got it she will have to ask what he cooked up later, should they both survive the day. As She watches on. Kotone can only stare for a moment. Then Majima says what he was up to and she just is left agape she's had a run-in with the plague god's minions before. It's not something she likes to focus on.

She would turn and follow Karian to the drop bay her powered armour roughly in the same size bracket as the armoured space marine was. She would get it into the pod lock it in place and wait.

<<You know if you told me this would be my life a decade ago I'd have said you were insane.>>
Raziel The scene is a mess.  Defense force ships join the fray, trying to do what they can to damage the now sick fleet as it still continues to move.  You have time, a lot more time than you would normally have.  It seems that things were breaking apart for the hive fleet, but not enough so that it couldn't recover.

Pods slam into the largest of the fleet's ships, an amalgamation of disgusting organs, flesh, and other hive ships.  Immediately you are besieged by horrors, the very walls of the ship seem to attack you.  Tyranid warriors seem to manifest from the very walls.  They cut, they shoot, they spit acid and anything they can to try and kill you.  To absorb you into them.

There was something else to their attacks too.  A sort of...despiration brought on by a massive event to their livelihood.  It wasn't JUST hunger now, but their very survival.  It's not savage, but desperate assaults that hammer your forces.  It's a subtle difference, but it is still there.  However, sensors show a massive life form ahead, and the closer you get the more desperate resistance gets.

It's almost like they fear you now.
Karian Icefang     Karian, being a decades old hunter and Space Wolf, picks up on the nature of these attacks and grins under the wolf skull helm he wore. "It fears...Good. Know this feeling, Tyranid. Know that what comes for you will not stop until you are dead...for that is our role. We are the hunters, and you are the prey. To cull the weak from the pack. To tear the throats of kings and queens. THAT is the way of the Wolf...and that is what we bring. KNOW FEAR, Tyranids! FOR FEAR INCARNATE HAS COME!!!" He roars out, his men echoing suit with deep wolf howls and the roar of both bolter fire and chain weaponry.
Majima Goro Well, that's the Tyrannids. Or, rather, his part of it. It's up to the Space Marines and Kotone to deal with the rest. Majima taps his cigarette. Nishida and Majima Construction are on the field helping with the bug-cult cleanup, and that leaves him with one more cult he's gotta deal with.

He taps on his phone. Clicks his tongue.
"Nehehe. Giulia-chan, 's your favorite, Majima!"
He nods once or twice to something on the phone. "Yep. It's time. You know you're always welcome back at my place, but it's time your ships left while the iron was hot, eh? I'm sure Pia-chan'll be just crushed she can't see you off, but that's just how it goes, isn't it? Nehehehe!"

He clicks the phone off, then looks at it again.
Well. He knows that whatever is about to actually happen isn't /nearly/ as good as what he's imagining, so he's just not going to think about it much further than that.
Kotone Yamakawa The battle is underway now what is done, is done and Tyranids are dying in large numbers, yet as always with these horrors? There are always more. This proves to be true, however thanks to Majimia's plan? Regardless of what she thinks of it now has worked wonders to thin them out enough that the pods can make it to their target. She feels the force of her pr impacting into the Tyranid ship.

She just has enough time to get herself free of the crash rigging and get the pod door open before she's swarmed with Nids. Her gun gets to work, opening fire on the Tyranid as they come spraying high powered solid slug Ammo as she moves to keep up with Karian even then her suit is taking damage already she can only guess what form the Queen might take.

<<No offence I don't think they understand anything more than we're here for the Queen.>>

She lays down more fire and /keeps/ with Karian knowing if she gets separated? It's going to make her far easier prey for the alien horrors this alien horror is full of.
Raziel A call is placed, from the surface, there is a chuckle, "Is it time?  Alrighty, Majima-Honey~.  See you at the place," says the familiar voice of Giulia.  Almost immediately after, several ships from the surface launch.  These are not defense force ships, and they are immediately heading the opposite of the others.

They are almost immediately followed by other ships, registered to the inquisition.

On the Tyranid ship itself...it's still hell.  The more you kill, the more come.  Small scarab like creatures try to get into armor and are dangerously armor piercing.  More warriors come from the ends of the halls, only to be mowed down by bolt fire.

Inch by inch you force your ways through, until finally the large artery you landed in, empties into a large cavity.  In it was a large creature akin to a Tyrant.  Large claws on two of its hands, holding two bio-plasma launchers.  It seemed to be half connected to the ship itself.  It does not look as healthy as it should but...

It immediately fires bioplasma at the attackers, aiming to burn away their assault before it can even begin.
Karian Icefang     Once more, the grin appears on Karian's face, but this one was far more predatory. "At last..." He rumbles out. A quick look to note the monster was weakening, thanks to the poison. But just as soon as they enter, bioplasma comes flying. The Wolfguard scatter, though one of the brave warriors loses his arm to the attack. But that doesn't stop him taking his bolter in his other hand and continueing the fight. Karian himself moves forward, grenades flying out as he aims his blade to slice and dice.
Kotone Yamakawa There are upsides to this mission, no bystanders, no collateral to worry about. She can just gun her way through here, well if she can stay alive her ARMED suit is doing a good job at protecting her for the moment but the damage is wracking up warnings are going off as it takes more damage as one set of its arms move to reload it's big gun the smaller set is lobbing plasma grenades into the Tyranid's ranks.

The Fighting is hard the Tyranids have everything to lose if any part of the boarding team makes it to their objective she keeps pace with KArian well enough as they reach what might just be the target.

With her weapon reloaded she'll open fire sending round after round aimed for the center of mass of the hulking Tyranid creature.

An idea forms in Kotone's mind as she fights but she's not quite ready to enact it.

<<Karian I have a crazy idea, I'm going to go after the things tying that horror into the ship...>>
Majima Goro Majima Goro adjusts his eyepatch. His cigarette is doused in an ash tray. Gloves are tightened, and then he's out the door. He has one last part of this plan to handle. The important part of this operation, above all else, is that it is the Concord who has arranged for the defense of the planet. Not the Imperium. Not the Inquisition. The Concord. And for that, one final piece of the puzzle needs to be removed. Now he's got to make his way to the shipyard to see this thing come to an end.
Kamurocho, A Short Few Weeks Ago...
^
A marble, checkered floor. Aquariums. A man in a snakeskin jacket and a priestess of Slaanesh, meeting in a hidden corner of a hidden corner of a single neighborhood of a Kyoto prefecture.
"..Here's what I'm figurin'," Majima says. "While the operation's happenin, we start evacuating your guys off-planet. I don't care where they go. We tell ol' Pia-chan we'll handle the device while she goes after you guys 'fore you escape..."

The man in the snakeskin jacket cracks his knuckles. "..ya think ya got a way to have her ship sabotaged 'fore she flies it out?"

He flips open his cell phone to make one last call. He's going to miss ol' Pia-chan, even if she did badmouth Staren.
Raziel On the inquisitor's ship, something...happens.

The screen for the coms activates, as Pia is forced to see the face of her hated foe, the Cult Leader Giulia stands, resting on what might look like a throne or a very relaxing and deviant chair.  "Well, it seems you took the bait.  Good, the only regret is that the misery that is Mortimer Balman isn't able to go with you...however, my revenge on him will start with you."

She chuckles as Pia looks grimly into the viewscreen, "You will not get away with th-" The ship shakes, as the entire thing seems to change direction.  The surge of energy before?  Was directed at a specific point.  It shoots out, towards Pia's ship.

The Hive Tyrant is shot square in the chest, followed by grenades and slashes from the wolf lord himself.  Scars are left, healing quickly as the beast roars, bringing both scythe blades down towards Karian in a flurry and speed unmatched by most other 'nids.  Bio-plasma sprays the other wolves again before a giant tail spike seems to shoot out of the wall, aiming to impale one of the wolf guards, aiming to start literally eating him from the inside out.

However...

"You can spare your men and your crew what fate I am about to give them, simply drop all of your weapons, trinkets and anything special...and walk through a rift I am about to open," she says, sweet as honey.  Pia, gritting her teeth, but loyal to her men, as they are to her does as she is asked.  The Scions gawk at this, but she stops them with a glare.

She willingly walks into a rift, disappearing from sight.  However, the field from the hive ship only increases, as the inquisition ship hurdles at the hive ship at full speed.  Activating its engines and zipping right into it.  The entire fleet shakes...and the rot spreads much quicker.

Guilia, having sent her first sacrifice to Slaanesh, smiles darkly, "I forgot to mention, I don't hold my bargains to oathbreakers and slaughterers.  Enjoy the bliss of my lord's pleasures...and the knowledge that you enjoy bliss, while your soldiers suffer." she says, turning from the screen as it shuts off.

"My only regret is that Mortimer was not there to share it with you."
Karian Icefang     Karian grits his teeth as the scythes come down on him, but his blade holds strong, as does his strength, and he doesn't give an inch. The poor wolfguard is indeed impaled, but STILL refuses to simply roll over and die. Instead, he tries to cut the tail off and remain in the fight.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is caught in one of the more serious fights she's ever been in and the Hive Tyrant is still going strong. She's done some damage alongside the Space Wolves, yet the thing is healing from them before her eyes.

She has an idea it could be right it could mean nothing. Yet if it works it might just make it easier to kill this biological horror in the end. She breaks into a run now as the Space Wolves keep fighting and her power armour will leap. As it does? She opens fir targeting her shots to go for the strange biological tendrils that seem to tie the Tyran into the ship. Laying down with as much firepower as she can bring to bear on this thing that should not be.

As Kotone reaches the apex of her leap, she is going to make a change in what she's doing as she'll try to get ahold of some of the tendrils to start ripping and tearing t them with her machine's secondary arms. Though this maneuver could very well leave her open.
Raziel Kotone attempts to tear the tendrils out of the Tyrant's body.  The large creature takes exception to this, as the first of them is torn clean.  When she goes to land on it, however, the space on the creature itself OPENS up, like another mouth, and spits more tendrils at her, attempting to wrap her up and drag her down into the creature.

Should she avoid this, the creature turns towards her, as both claws tear down at her, followed by several shots of bio-plasma and a new 'tail' tendril trying to impale her.  It seems she's drawn its ire.

The wolves hold out, the old wolf trying to cut his way out, and he does so, but the damage may have already been done.  As parts of the insides are torn out as the tendril is.  More tendrils fly out, but some of them are just vectors for bioplasma, attempting to tear at the wolves from multiple angles.

However, an explosion rocks the ship.  The rot seems to spread much faster for a brief moment.  However, the sounds of something unholy seems to cry out from everywhere.  The screeches of Daemonettes can be heard as rifts open to let them pour through.  They tear through the Tyranid reinforcements and are now draining the hive mind even more.

More than that, the rot taking advantage of the extra warp energy tries to corrupt more.  They might have a single shot at it while it's attention is drawn in so many other directions.
Karian Icefang     KArian curses as he hears the sounds of deamonettes. "Damn it...We don't need deamons right now." He says. But he also realizes the shot they have, and decides to continue to carve up the tyrant, and end this here.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa idea seems to be working that is good news, bad news it's working and she's got the thing's attention. Which ends up so many tendrils coming at her to drag her into a new mouth has formed just to eat her.

This forces Kotone to break off all forms of attack for the moment to avoid ending up dinner inside the horror, this works but she does not escape the tendrils coming for her, it's a good thing she's wearing the power armour as the plasma shots impact with it burning away a good deal of armour on the torso and right leg of the machine.

Another heavy hit there like that and the cockpit will end up breached. The assault upon her isn't over as a Tendril does catch the machine and does end up pushing through the now weakened amour and into Kotone catching her in the shoulder. Kotone is forced to make a choice, which ends up being rather painful. She will force herself to move and wretch free. She rips the tendril out doing more damage, but freeing her, that arm though is pretty much useless for the moment and the corresponding secondary arm goes limp.

She's still got her primary weapon arm working and she'll lay down more fire trying to make use of the distracted nature of the enemy. Also, the sound of howling warp spawn coming here fills her with utter dread. They need to finish this and get the hell out.
Raziel One last push.

The wolves rally behind their commander and push forward.  They shoot, cut and tear their way through.  Kotone soon joins, releasing shot after shot into the thing.  The creature takes the brunt of assault...

But does not heal.  Instead, finally, it starts to rot. It screeches and writhes in pain, apparently, you got it to use enough biomaterial for it to infect all of the lines it could use.

The good news is that it was going to die, and the entire fleet was likely to fracture from this.  The downside...you are inside of it still.

The really bad news is that the warp has been unleashed on this ship too.  If you don't get off of this ship, you will either die or catch /the heresy/.  Either don't sound so great, so what's your exit strategy?
Karian Icefang     Karian watches the queen die, quickly cutting off one of the 'smaller' scythe's as proof of his kill. "Kotone, we are Leaving!" He shouts. Moving over, he grabs the wounded marine and all but drags him towards the quickly rushing in thunderhawk.
Kotone Yamakawa The creature is dying she can tell its' rotting out it's horrific but there's little sympathy from Kotone. It's time to get get out of here, with the demons on the way and the ship rotting out? It's a very bad idea to stay here, it's time to go. She does not need to be told twice about this. She will turn moving to run for the Thunderhawk. She will not delay at all she will, however, help Karian get his wounded Battle-Brother aboard the Thunder Hawk and then moves to secure herself.
Raziel The scythe is taken as a trophy, the battle brother likely won't survive, but at least you have proof of his, and your, bravery.  Though at a loss.  As you run out the scene is chaos, and not the big C one.  Though they are there too.  Demons are fighting Nids, but the loss of the synapse creature is causing the fighting to become more feral.  The structure is losing cohesion.

Everything is falling apart.

The Thunderhawk swings around, giving you a way out, and taking time to get onto it means you have to fight both sets of forces who are more than willing to kill you as they are each other.  The three way fight lasts long enough to get the last person on...and you take off.

From the window you can see the hive fleet breaking into componet ships, as those ships eat each other, are destroyed from within by demons, or are blasted apart by the planetary defense forces.  All that means is that the only thing left is to unroot the remaining pockets of the Genestealer cult...and this will be over.
