Scene #6905: Winter BBQ

Tomoe	Tomoe had been recovering from her fight with the Tyranids and other adventures she's had as of late, shockingly she's been taking easy. She had invited Sarra and Alexis over for food on her. Sounds good she said something about Cooking. The pair would find themselves in a fairly quiet part of Urban Japan and they might click to the idea wait isn't this Kirito's family home? Well the small home it's got a yard and the snow isn't too bad all the pair needs to do is knock on the door or ring the bell. The two might notice some smoke wafting up from the backyard, however.
Alexis	Just because she's from a hot climate doesn't mean Alexis can't handle a little snow. She's trudged her way through a lot worse. This is just a chill in comparison. Hope this Japan has gotten use to seeing less usual modes of transportation, or the tomboy riding up on a literally fiery steed might really stand out. "Still wondering if she meant actual cooking or the in-game cooking.." But there's only one way to really find out isn't there? Alexis reigns the Rapidash to a stop and dismounts, giving him a pet on the snout before pokeballing him, and wandering up to the door. Debates for a moment. Nah, bells are for chumps. She gives the door a good solid couple of thumps. At least she's not one of those Trainers that just barge in and start going through all your stuff, right?
Sarracenia	Indeed she had! And Sarracenia never turns down an invitation from a friend, much less a lady-in-waiting! So, as the time for dinner draws near...a rather large shadow appears above the snowy neighborhood. A shadow that turns out to be a rather large wooden airship that looks much like a Spanish galleon! It descends right at Kirito's house at a speed that seems like it will never be able to stop in time. But, right at the last moment it slows and comes to a stop right above the street below and lowers a ramp. And out walks Sarracenia, wearing a lovely winter coat and dress. A few of her piranha plants try to follow her to the house, but she waves them off as she approaches the house. Just in time to see Alexis! She smiles happily upon seeing the tomboy, then rolls her eyes and smirks lightly as Alexis just pounds on the door. "Barbarian." she says teasingly, then rings the bell.
Tomoe	The worst Alexis would run into is some people taking photos of her or videos which would go up on various Aguma watcher blogs and sites. So most people are used to it and intense debate will argue what VRMMORPG Alexis is a player of. As for Sarracenia would be making the rounds on the various blogs some might even ID her transport from the Game Zone up in the northern part of the country that would also get some attention. The door opens shortly after the door has been rung a redheaded woman who is not Japanese she also got very long red hair that is currently tied up she's wearing an apron which has an image of a BBQ and the words Bacon is a Vegetable. The Redhead grins at both and says "Oh hey you are here comes in." She looks somewhat familiar too and the voice well that is familiar too. There is no sign of a Salamander. "Please come in, food's just about ready!" The redhead then bolts back into the house clearly intent to get back to the cooking.
Alexis	"Hello to you too," Alexis retorts, then glances over her shoulder. "I hope they don't try to ticket that thing..." Then turns back as the door opens, and blinks couple of times at the greet'n'run. Looks at Sarracenia. "Do you know if Tomoe had any siblings?" She's not about to assume, even as she follows the rushing redhead inside.
Sarracenia	Sarracenia blinks at the redhead that answers the door, then sideglances at Alexis at the question. "Not that I am aware...though we have not exactly spent a lot of time at each other's homes." she answers before following Alexis and the mystery redhead. "She seems familiar though. And...sounds familiar." Unless Alexis closes the door, it will probably remain open. Sarracenia has doormen for all entries and exits to her castle, and so just assumes that there will be one here.
Silica	It's not often that Keiko comes to this part of town, but she was passing through on the way home from veterenary school, and decided to drop by. She'd meant to visit Kirito earlier than this, so... She spots Sarra's ship long before she gets close, eyes going wide at the airship. "Miss Sarra's ship?" she muses to herself, hurrying her step. What if something happened to Mister Kirito... wasn't Miss Tomoe staying with him too? Oh dear, oh dear. The young woman, perhaps in her early 20s, rounds the corner and sees the door open. Oh no! She runs, bursting into the house while fumbling with her Augma. "Mister Kirito!? Miss Tomoe!?" she calls out...
Tomoe	The home is simple and Tomoe would have noted she is renting a room form Kirito's family and she might have sent an invite out to someone else to a certain Catte if you will. Either way the Redhead is out back working the grill not seemingly too bothered by the cold some music is playing it's J-pop for the moment but the song shifts into something by a certain famous American country singer and the redhead calls out. "Just a moment I'm almost done here, I been BBQing for the last little while!" The redhead would be in the kitchen grinning widely and she does have a notable thing as she takes off her jacket and moves to get the apron off, after she's seen setting down a tray with foil-wrapped food on it. Flower tattoos from her wrist vanishing up into her sleeve. She seems in good spirits. "Glad you could all make it! Since I hear no sirens nothing eventful happened on your trip here it seems." She'll busy herself about getting the food ready its ribs, some grilled corn and some sort of stuffed peppers from the looks of it.
Alexis	Alexis was going to shut the door, but barely stops from slamming it in the face of another arrival as she barrels in. "Guess it's gonna be a popular party" She shrugs and swings the door shut afterwards and following. "As long as Sarra didn't double-park her airship." Don't come with your elaborate modes of transportation and not expect Alexis to poke fun at it. "Smells good, though. Someone's been busy."
Sarracenia	Sarracenia steps out of the way as Keiko comes barreling in. This girl looks familiar, too! Sarracenia peers at Keiko, then blinks as she mentions Tomoe. "Oh! Of course! These are your natural forms, right?" she asks Keiko and Tomoe. "I had heard that those of this world used avatars, but until now I had not seen any of you outside of those forms." she says, then pauses. "...are you alright?" she asks Keiko. There doesn't seem to be any trouble here after all, so if Keiko is shouting in concern obviously she is in some trouble, right? Sarracenia takes off her winter coat and the winter skirt she has on, both made of plush furs. She has on her usual red dress beneath, and makes her way into the kitchen. "Do not be absurd. One cannot get a ticket for double parking in a street if one's vehicle is parked -above- the street." she says with a smirk. She tilts her head in confusion at the word 'BBQ' though. "I...am sorry. I thought you said...BBQ?" she says, saying BBQ in the tone of someone snubbing their nose at such fare. Then she suddenly pauses, and just as suddenly turns toward Keiko, her eyes practically sparkling. "Wait, did you say Kirito?! Is Kirito coming, too?!" she exclaims excitedly, even saying Kirito with the D sound rather than an R sound.
Silica	When Keiko finds out it's just a princess with no manners leaving doors open, she relaxes. "Ah... Hai... I'm Keiko Ayano, I'm a friend of Mister Kirito and Miss Tomoe. It is good to meet you offline." she replies, bowing formally. She perks up as Tomoe speaks up, taking a breath with a hand over her chest. "Aiiiyah, Miss Tomoe, you shouldn't worry me like that." And then Sarra starts doing her excited fangirl thing... "Well... This is Mister Kirito's house..."
Tomoe	Tomoe says "Ah you caught on normally I don't go about like this but given my relationship with the door frames here I rather be a bit shorter." Given it got to the point once hearing someone go THUNK was a sign Sheena was awake in the morning after all. "Yes I said BBQ? Its honestly the cultural food of the country I'm from. At least it seems that way, why Is there a problem?" Sheena looks a bit confused for a moment. "I'm not sure Kirito may end up with leftover I made enough for him and his family as well after all I did take over the kitchen today." She notes then she looks back to Sarracenia. "Is there a problem?" She also notes to Keiko. "Hey your my friend and a Clearer I can't help but wnat ot make sure my second family keeps safe!" "Given The neogations with the Japanese governmen that Sarra has going on I dounbt it will be an issue. I'll start serving now."
Alexis	".. Yeah, door frames are a bother when made for shorter people." Alexis knows, very well. She pauses, then squints slightly at Sarracenia. "Don't be a rude guest, princess. Some people prefer to cook by their own hand instead of having entire staffs dedicated to meals." Or can afford it. She's been around the girl enough to get a good guess at what she's doing that obnoxious but cute nose turning. Who'd think being friends with high society would be so much maintenance?
Sarracenia	Sarracenia gasps at the news that this is Kirito's house. "Oh my~ I do hope he will not be too surprised to see me here when he gets home! How is my hair? Is my make-up smudged at all?" she asks the other girls in that excited way one does when expecting to run into someone important. The others' comments on the food draws a soft sigh from Sarracenia. "Naturally some prefer to cook by their own hand, but cooking outside over an open flame? It just seems so..." She looks as though she is looking for the right word, then blinks and looks a bit like a deer in the headlights as she realizes the 'right word' might offend one or all of her friends in the room. Which leads to her smiling nervously and letting out a short little laugh. "...intriguing! Yes, intriguing." This probably makes it seem like it was most likely real nose turning, though that doesn't mean it wasn't cute, right? She can only hope as she tries once more to laugh it off. So, she tries to hop on the change of subject train. "Indeed! Doors that do not take into account those who are not of standard height can be quite annoying. I have lost my crown more than once to such a door frame." she says.
Tomoe	Tomoe pauses and adds "Sides some of the great Rulers and Nobles my world has known liked it in some fashion or another. At least now we don't need to hunt Boars. I'd be concerned to hunt a Boar even in Avatar form." She grins a little bit at this then looks to her friend. "So it is your first time don't worry I didn't use spicey stuff!" % She'll start serving the food now. "So I totally hear you I'm tall even for where I'm from then when I'm well the real me I'm even taller." A strange and worrying way to put it. "I think I made an impression of my forehead in my room's door." She also gives Sarra a bit of a sad puppy face. "WOrked all morning and most of the afternon on this for all of you!"
Alexis	Alexis shakes her head a bit, but she's smirking behind it at the recovery. "One of these days, Princess. We're gonna get you out to see what roughing it is really like." She finds herself a seat to make herself comfortable. "At least your boars don't breath fire." She pauses. "Well, your -natural- ones don't." Who knows what the MMO merger does to them.
Silica	"Well, that's actually a funny fact. You see, depending on which game is being imprinted on a specific zone, the wildlife can either morph to fit the monsters, or remain completely unaffected." remarks Keiko, eyes closed as she speaks like one of those academic swots. "A rather facinating interaction with the current turn of events in our world. Boars that freeze things solid, birds that can fire needle-like barbs from their wings, amalgams of different creatures that can use super powered versions of echolocation to stun a prey animal, or spit globs of acid and poison at a distance." You can almost see the glasses adjustment, despite the young woman not wearing such.
Sarracenia	Sarracenia sees that she was right! It would have (and still kind of did) hurt Sheena's feelings! "A-and we shall all enjoy it!" she says to Tomoe in a placating, 'please don't leave me' kind of way before quickly taking a seat at the table. "See? I am ready to enjoy the fruits of your labors! A-and vegetables and meats! Whatever you wish!" The princess blinks as Keiko speaks up. "Oh. Your world did not have such creatures before this game world merged with it?" she asks, mildly intrigued. "Pipeland has had such dangerous creatures for as long as anyone can remember." She also shivers at the mention of 'roughing it' and shakes her head lightly. "I am perfectly content not to rough it any more than necessary."
Tomoe	Tomoe has finished passing out the food and is now sitting sown as well to join the food she pauses for a moment. She looks at Silica for a moment pauses and says "Yes, that scares the heck out of me if we're being honest. The next thing you know Geese will recall they used to be Dinosaurs and set out to /fix/ that." Is she joking it's hard to tell with her tone of voice she also sees the Princess is going to give her cooking a shot. "No magic, no other species that are like us. The last cousin species we had died out tens of thousands of years ago. So alone no magic, nothing like that at all. If you had met me before the death game I was utterly unremarkable."
Alexis	"Welcome to the world of Pokemon." There's not anything better Alexis can say to that. Those are all totally things various otherwise animal-like pokemon do. Silica gets a bit of a smirk before Alexis digs into the meal.
Sarracenia	Sarracenia blinks a bit at Tomoe. "...what are you talking about? We are talking about dangerous and magical animals, not dangerous and magical people." she says, giggling a bit. As the food is placed before her, the princess hesitantly picks up a fork and slowly takes a bit of something to give it a try. And after a few moments of chewing, her face lights up! "Oh my goodness! While I may not agree with the preparation techniques, it is quite good! Smokey, a bit over-seasoned perhaps, but none-the-less quite good!" She eats happily but still politely after that. "The world of pokemon is redeemed though by its collection of cute pokemon. Such as Vulpix!"
Tomoe	Tomoe laughs at Alexis "Well do we get anything for joining?" She seems to be joking about as for Sarra she pauses. "I mean we had no magic anything it was all fiction. I played a game when I was a little kind of like it collected monster and the like as for the food I'm glad you are enjoyed it I mean I'm not a professional." She will eat away with her friends after that is over she'll actually invite them to either a snowball fight or some classic gaming in the den with a few party games she happens to have copies of.
