Ezra Mochizuki RAIDEN CORPORATION CYBERNETICS LAB
EVENING

Under the cover of nightfall, the Watch has decided to assault a Raiden lab found by one Klaus Ridell's hacking skills. It is guaranteed that this lab has some of the captive Abnormals working with Rust, likely being experimented on for science.

The above-ground lab is a standard high-tech laboratory, with both security and cybernetics-related science going on, but it's also avoidable, because Kamen Rider Tetra and the Abnormal known as Sweep scouted ahead, finding paths to their actual target: an underground biotech lab, which is likely doubling as the prison.

Slipping past the perimeter overlooking the sea, they can force their way to the route they've set up to the basement. Getting past the 'front office', slipping past or subduing above-ground security, and the like, until they get to the secured route.

The basement itself is sterile. Clean white and grey walls. It's a sprawling complex, with laser sensors through unused corridors, using sensors to ignore if they detect a receiver from one of the scientists or security. Cameras dot the halls, watching for anything out of the norm. Security is further back, out of sight, out of mind, but armed with high-quality rifles and basic body armor.

Two Abnormals have joined the terrorist attack. Sweep, the fog girl from before who has been assisting Kamen Rider Tetra due to similar abilities, as well as Fuego, the fireslinger who wants a redemption from his previous failure.

The objective is to recover any Abnormals from the lab, and euthanize any that cannot be saved, if such comes to it.

The real question is: is the Watch going in loud or quiet?
Forte The watch is going in quiet.

Forte leads the group down the halls, dealing with subverting each bit of electronic surveilance or security in his own odd way (which involves disappearing for a few seconds at each one, and then reappearing.) He makes little to no noise regardless - floating along, without footsteps and without breathing.

"Just try not to screw this up," he mutters to the rest of the party as he goes.
Hamada Haru     A LITTLE FURTHER IN...

Kamen Rider Tetra has dared to press in just a little farther than he did during the recon mission that lead to the creation of the map. He's currently lingering intangible within the ventilation systems. He's currently pending the advance of the others, however-- there's only so much he can do in terms of stealth, because that was never a part of his training. So far, he's been relying basically solely upon the fact that you can't really observe something that has no physical substance and is clipped firmly inside solid substances.

He has made a point of coaxing Sweep further in with him.

Lingering there in a segment of vent inside a wall, he speaks into his radio, << Exfil Team, I'm going to be running interference. These people are used to dealing with powers, so they're bound to detect us sooner or later. If you're about to be caught, let me know. Otherwise I'll just use my discretion. We've got a teleporter with us today, so don't do any mercy killings if you can help it. We can probably take a closer look and make a more informed decision later. >>
Ben d'Tarkanan      There is a heated argument going on in the lab. Three voices. One is familiar. It sounds, to those of you who have spoken with him, like Lord Ben d'Tarkanan. His is agitated, speaking louder than the other two. "I demand you let me pass!" ... "...That I might judge for my own eyes." ... "I do not believe you."

"...If you do not, I shall have no choice but to see for myself."

"...Gladly would I refund your employer fully, for the breach of contract. Will you stand aside, or must I go through you?"
Xion Quiet is... Well, it's not strictly 'relative', but there is ever the empty-hearted snark of 'we'll keep it to a dull roar'.

Wearing a baseball cap that declares the black-haired girl as a member of 'Confederated Expedite', some sort of delivery service from the prominent box-and-arrow logo on the cap and brown t-shirt top she wears.

For all intents and purposes, Xion looks like a deliverygirl who has somehow gotten lost on the way to the bathroom!

Nevermind the fact that she's nowhere near the delivery entrance, nor is she carrying a clipboard or any packages. She's just wearing clothes for a fake delivery service.

Forte suggests Xion try not to screw it up. "No promises! I'm kind of not sure what 'this' is, actually."

Her footsteps make noise, because she does not float. "Do you think the cameras will turn back on? I don't think 'toilet?' will work a second time."

Toilet won't work a first time, but it CERTAINLY won't work a second time.
Ezra Mochizuki Fuego is near Xion. "That's an awful disguise." Is all the burned man says. "You don't even have any packages." He flexes his fingers, heat ramping up, but not enough to trigger the sensors yet.

Kamen Rider Tetra and Sweep are crawling through ventilation, with Sweep reluctantly pushing forward as a cloud of fog. They can drop into the lab near where the group is about to reach, if they'd like, and get a close view of what's going on inside there or start pushing further. Since ventilations are noisy, they pick up a lot of chatter, but it's hard to make out 'all of it' without getting closer. Three things are of notice: Ben's conversation with the guard, a grunt of pain, and a woman talking about 'energy'. But they're all in different locations, so moving through the vents to pick one would be required if they want to eavesdrop for even a little bit.

Forte is easily able to take out the cameras and lasers immediately in their path, as well as the first two guards, though there's more of both. They go down with injuries, but they're down for the second, and the group can progress into the 'main' corridor.

Rows and rows of labs. The glass is tinted, so they can't exactly see inside besides the silhouettes of humans. There's chemical analysis labs, experimentation labs, and even a single cryogenics lab.

There's also a gunshot, as Ben threatens a guard. After multiple pleas of 'sir, please step back', the guard draws his pistol and fires a single shot into Ben's gut, causing the scientist next to him to shake and grab his head. "What have you done? He's one of those versers! We're fucked!"

The gunshot has triggered a small alarm, not the Big Alarm that signals the doomsday reaction. Someone special is on his way, though it will take him a Bit to stop by, since he's taking it lax and slow since it's just a gunshot. Probably nothing big. He might bring a friend, though!

For the time being, guards are pushing forward. They're armed with rifles, trying to find the source of the gunshot, and, if the Elites aren't careful, them as well.
Hamada Haru >> Gunshot

Well, that narrows their possibilities a little bit in the grand scheme of things, and a lot less in the short term. The attention /should/ be focused wherever that alert happened.

Kamen Rider Tetra crawls forward -- quite literally through Sweep, who is slightly more solid by virtue of being fog instead of essentially materially nonexistent -- and mutters to her, "Go towards that grunting. I'm going to check out some other things. Don't do anything without contacting me."

Having issued instructions, Tetra taps his wrist and self-duplicates. There are now /three/ people clipping through each other. One Kamen Rider Tetra heads towards the sound of the woman's voice, while the Prime Kamen Rider Tetra presses on to advance further into the facility altogether.
Xion "I'm standing next to someone in a hoodie." Xion retorts with a smile, pulling her CONFEDERATED EXPEDITE hat off to hop up and place it on Fuego's head. With a 'shwink!' she produces an empty cardboard box, and shoves that in Fuego's hands as well. "There. Now we match!"

"If we walk away from the gunfire and act confused, I bet they'll ignore us. By the way, I'm your supervisor. You're a temp."

Xion just carries on through the hallway, completely ignoring that someone is probably shot somewhere else. Her (lack of a) heart is hardened against random police brutality!
Ben d'Tarkanan      "Through you it is, then," says Ben, as he reaches out and crushes the gun with one hand, easily breaking both the firearm and the guard's fingers beneath it. Even if it causes another round to fire, he doesn't react to it. The shot clearly hit, but it might as well have been a bee sting for all it seems to have stopped him.

Still gripping the guard tightly, he tosses him over his shoulder without a care for the guard's safety, chucking as if he were pitching a fastball. Just as his opponent takes flight, there appears around Ben a troop of ghostly soldiers, haggard wretches in shades of blue and grey, each armed and armored. He attempts to barge past any further resistance, his ghosts drawing spectral steel on anyone who tries to stop him.
Forte Forte looks over the rows and rows of labs, and then looks over at the source of the alarm, all with the same non-expression.

"..."

When nothing more happens immediately, he proceeds onwards.

Rows and rows of labs... too many to casually search for everything that they're here for. Instead, Forte proceeds to continue floating on down the cooridors, looking for any sort of administration, data storage, or just some sort of handy information terminal.

Accessing a security hub would be nice, too.
Veldus gau Hydrus Walking with 'Someone Special' is a man clad head to toe in strange dark metal armor.  His head covered fully by a helmet trimmed with silver and with two 'eyes' that are special lenses that do a good job of hiding what is behind them.  A strange gem rests where a forehead would be, looking like a pearl.  Silver trimmed armor covers everything else, except for a standard of dark red on the front of the man.

Also, on his hip is a strange gun.  More like a hand cannon, but with extra bits that would seem to do nothing on a normal gun.

Walking with purpose towards the site, he speaks to the person next to him.  "You seem very unconcerned about this.  Or are gunshots on your streets a common occurrence?"
Ezra Mochizuki Fuego sighs as he's given the hat, but he takes the box begrudgingly, pushing forward with Xion. He recommends they go /away/ from the gunshot, if they're trying to be quiet, towards one of the other labs to the side. There's noise of chatter in there, something about 'how they need more bodybags'.

The door's locked, so Fuego moves to open it to get some clues - Xion can leave him, if she wants. If Xion doesn't decide to try and open the door herself, Fuego moves to melt the lock completely, picking his box back up afterwards. There's a corpse on a table - not clearly abnormal, but suspectable. Looks like he was in the middle of surgery, based on the way the scientists are dressed. One of them is clearly upset he's dead - it must be recent - and the other is trying to figure out how the fuck they're going to explain this to security. They're supposed to be kept /alive/, damn it! The scientists don't see them, so they can pull back if they'd like, but that's a clear sign to what's going on here.

But, the gunshot helps. Ben pushes through the security guard, throws him away, and forces his way into the lab. Other security begin gunning at him, when his ghosts appear. They can fight with the security and keep them off Ben, but they might want to silence the Big Alarm before it happens.

Inside is a sedated woman, in the middle of a surgery. She ahs tendrils coming out of her body, which is where the surgery is happening. "Scalpe- oh, shit!" One of them shouts as they spot Ben, as the other freezes up completely. There's one security guard in here, who begins emptying rounds at Ben's chest.

Forte heads for the database. The security room is much further back, and not easily accessible, but the server where they leave their logs is, and he might be able to access speakers and non-security systems through it. To get the info from inside the server, though, he'll have to figure out what he wants - there's a LOT of logs, and a lot of them are labelled uninterestingly.

Two Tetras and a Sweep. Sweep shifts around nervously, but accepts, and moves in that direction. She quickly reports that she found a huge lab nearby, where two people are locked up. One is the quilled guy from before, who is apparently not moving at all, though is breathing. The other is a man she doesn't recognize well but has seen before. There's no researchers inside.

One Tetra moves further into the interior. He can guess, based on how many labs are surgery or holding wings, that they have over a dozen subjects. Probably from previous attacks on Raiden, or picking up strays. He can mark their locations casually, though he'll have to either subdue or slip past security coming towards Ben's location a few times.

Ezra Mochizuki, dressed in his speed suit, is coming in Kamen Rider Tetra's direction, around the corridor, keeping himself slow to stick with Veldus. "Look, they wouldn't call me in if I couldn't fix it. Besides, I have /no/ idea what they're doing down here, so that's why I called you in. This is one of their hush-hush labs." He probably has /some/ idea what they're doing down here, but he's clearly unsure. They haven't seen any of the surgery wings yet, though.
Ezra Mochizuki The other Tetra eavesdrops on a conference call between a high-ranking scientist present in the facility and her executive, who is on a screen. "Gunshot?" He says, to which she replies. "Yes, but we have a Multiversal on loan today, so they can handle it, and Mochizuki's likely on his way. As I was saying, the subject-". The executive interrupts. "The quill man?" "Yes, he is showing a strong reaction to the treatments. We should be able to form new tranquilizers from his quills shortly, and incorporate them into self-defense models rivalling the Diver Organization. This is a completely different method from the AKG, so it requires him alive, unfortunately, otherwise we'd have pulled the plug already. He's not waking up any time soon - a centaur smashed his skull in, you understand."

Complete callousness. She doesn't give a shit about the subject.
Ben d'Tarkanan      Ever since learning of this world, Ben has sought to aid the Abnormals. He thought that protecting this facility might allow research beneficial to them to be completed. He wasn't supposed to have caught that glimpse. It was enough to make him suspicious of their altruism. The people here might not be volunteers, as his employer claimed. It doesn't take long to confirm his suspicion. Laid out before him are people who are clearly here against their will.

"You are without honor," Ben announces loud enough for the scientists to hear, over the din of his ghosts running interference on the guards who try to stop him. They strike with swords, blast the guards with ice, or drain their strength with the chill touch of the grave.

"But I am not," further calls Ben, likely loud enough to be heard even as the others are traveling down the hall. "Any one among you who does not wish to fight me will be allowed to leave in peace." It might as well be an alarm for all the noise it's making, and let's face it... he's not really doing anything to keep them from hitting it.

Just grandstanding while his ghosts wrestle with the guards.
Forte Forte regards the lack of easily-findable data with the same non-reaction he gives to everything else.

Search terms... search terms...

    SELECT * FROM db.logs
    WHERE comments LIKE '%new subject%' OR '%quills%`
    ORDER BY adddate DESC

Hopefully that'll turn up something useful for Hamada's subject - or if not, then sorting by most recent and filtering on 'new subject' might get something useful.

Forte also deletes a lot of unrelated data while he's searching, just to screw over this place long-term. They'll be less efficient at experimenting on people if their records are messed up.
Hamada Haru Kamen Rider Tetra has some bad choices to make, and unfortunately, one of them is that he's really got to deal with the guards along his route. Fortunately, he has one thing going for him at this exact moment-- and it's that the man he doesn't know is coming can't move faster than he can at the moment. They have to match a pace that he can keep up with.

But there's no way for him to take out guards without leaving a visible trail and verifying that something is wrong. At least, not without... doing something that he isn't going to do, here. These people might be questionable, but that doesn't mean Haru wants to be the one to kill them.

There is a light click as Kamen Rider Tetra Prime draws both of his tonfa and presses switches on them. Gently, a voice drones -- muffled by the thickness of the walls, but all the same:

                            << Deletion Protocol: >>

                                  << BREATH >>

In he goes. Kamen Rider Tetra steps into a rapid-fire fight with the guards along his path, weaving between them in a whirlwind of tonfa strikes that are surprisingly /light/ for what he's doing. Weapons are captured with a clack of some kind of advanced ceramic against metal, joints are struck with spinning blows, but the vast majority of his maneuvers are "soft".

They are "soft" because instead of actually 'damaging' them, Kamen Rider Tetra is just straight up deleting the air from their mouth and lungs to make the fight incredibly short.

What makes it trickier is that he makes /himself/ selectively intangible throughout, luring in guards with openings that admit false purchase to segments of body that have no material substance and immediately punishing anybody who attempts to take advantage of it with a quick jab or a forceful, whirling strike to a joint.

As soon as he's able to -- whether it's quick enough remains to be seen, and even if it is it's possible his form clipping into the wall will be observed in passing -- Tetra Prime abandons the inevitable pile of guards to simply hide in a wall and wait.

The second Kamen Rider Tetra nods towards Sweep, heading to the laboratory she indicated. He says to her, "Check on the one who isn't a vegetable. I'll handle the other one."

Circumstances permitting, he goes to check on the condition of Quills.
Veldus gau Hydrus Veldus gau Hydrus says, "Mm," Veldus comments for a moment, deciding not to say anything specifically on that.  The fact that someone like Ezra is needed for protection in a city sense speaks volumes.  For now, that is not the focus of what they are here for.  Though the second part of the conversation gets a wry smile out of the Garlean.

"In other words, a chance to look in on what is actually going on here without directly making your life harder in the short term.  Pretty smart, and something I'm willing to take the heat for should we find anything questionable here," he comments.  It's smart, by Veldus' calculations, and it plays into his own goals.

As they turn the corner, guards on the ground would get his attention.  Veldus moves to check on their wounds, finding nothing that would indicate something like 'a gun' or 'a bladed attack' which are surprisingly common.

He's not a doctor, so he can do nothing for them.  However, he tries to tap on the power of the Echo, to perhaps see what might have happened here.  Regardless of if this happens or not, he raises and draws his weapon ready.  "
Xion The DOOR is LOCKED!
Xion waves off Feugo's hot hands, summoning her keyblade (an empty star-comb'ed affair) with a 'shwink!' and tapping the pad-lock with the tip of the weapon.

The door, obviously, opens.

The keyblade, equally obviously, immediately loses cohesion and disappears back into Xion's inventory. As a method of explanation, she waggles her empty hand. "I make a big key. It works on every lock. Cool, isn't it?"

The door opens, Xion flashing a big toothy Kingdom Hearts Exaggerated Ear-To-Ear grin.

Oh hey! A dead body!

Her eyes pan slowly to the corpse on the table. Her smile twitches. Her eyes narrow. "What did you *do*?"
Ezra Mochizuki Ben and his ghosts take down the security rapidly. They weren't the 'real threat', here, not against Elites. Sure, they can take down a few angry Abnormals, but Elites? Nope.

The real threat is what happens when Ben gives mercy. As soon as they're allowed to leave, one signals the alarm. The big alarm.

DIVER ORGANIZATION IN BOUND - SEVERAL MINUTES

Forte digs into some files, and deletes others. He finds information on the 'quill' guy - his quills are a powerfful sedative, and they're hoping to use it to further capturing Abnormals for research. It doesn't matter which side of the quill or what hits you - as long as it makes skin contact, you're dosed. They're hoping to put it in cybernetics, but the man's braindead, so...they don't have much time.

Tetra Prime steals the breath from the guards, beating them with superior weapon skills and dropping them. He's easily able to hide in a wall, as Ezra stops by and talks to Veldus. "Yeah, pretty much. They're, honestly, probably doing shady shit. My company gets up to some shit. But, hey. Gotta stay in your lane."

He kneels next to a guard, listening. "They're still alive. Good. Let's fan out and find the perp. You do what you need to do, I'm gonna go further in."

Ezra moves to pass by Tetra at faster speeds. Tetra can intercept, though if he doesn't, Ezra will go in BEN's direction.

Tetra #2 enters the lab, Sweep dropping through the ventilation to join him. She moves to the other man locked up, and starts scanning him. She checks for a pulse..."He's alive! Should we try and wake him? Uh...can you break the restraints?" She jabs to the restraints, as she then moves towards a dossier nearby. "They're...experimenting on us. Why? Why do they need our powers?!"

Tetra's guy is braindead. He has a mark on his head from a hoof, where Hesinca smashed his skull, barely 'saved'. He must have been the example of a possible mercy killing. Quills have been removed from his body, and many are in vials, being tested on.

Fuego actually nods appreciatively as Xion opens the door. As they step in, he wants to attack, but. "Who are you? You don't have clearance to be here!" "It's fine, Dave, we're already fucked and it's just delivery. Shit, this is a mess." As the 'supervisor' asks what they did, he gives in. "Fucking- we were seeing if we could extract the big A from his genome, and he had a negative reaction. Started seizing. Dave had the knife, and made a faulty incision. We couldn't stop it in time." "Yeah, and they're gonna kill me! This guy made lightning! Do you know how useful that'd be for someone like the courier? Holy shit!"

They're defenseless, but also clearly murderers. They seem to care more about themselves than the dead guy, though.
Forte He's dead - and he's being kept on life support so that they can extract tech from him. Alright then.

"Such desecration..." says Forte to himself.

He shifts tactics, and goes in full-bore on his deletion efforts - and for this, he doesn't need to be physically in the server. He jacks back out, and simply lays both hands on whatever bit of control panel or actual bit of hardware is convenient.

And then he just starts... erasing. Rending the data into easily digestible chunks and just absorbing wide swathes of it at a time. He goes after the logs first - and then whatever other backups he can access, and from there whatever else he can access easily.

The hardware's still there - maybe some of it's bricked, but it's still there. But all of the experimentation data here is facing the wrath of Forte.

... Well, wrath is probably a strong word. The cloaked figure remains mostly expressionless and motionless as he goes about his task.
Hamada Haru "It's because you have powers, that they need powers." Kamen Rider Tetra #2 explains, simply. There's nothing judgemental towards Sweep, or the corporation, in what he says. He rolls a shoulder, "The presence of power demands an answer of power. Though based on /that/ guy, it seems to me like they've developed toys of their own. Who knows why they need you specifically. Maybe you're the only reason they could do that to begin with."

He adjusts the device at his forearm.

                            << Deletion Protocol: >>

                                   << NECK >>

Laying both hands on either side of Quill's brutalized head, the neck simply ceases to exist. Tetra raises his head enough that it's obvious he's not looking at it, even though he's holding it. A moment later there's a distant roar, as a motorcycle bursts in through the ceiling and rumbles to a halt next to him.

He carefully -- and without looking too closely at it -- puts the head in the sidecar, then sends it away.

Another wrist adjustment.

                            << Deletion Protocol: >>

                               << LIKE OBJECT >>

After that, Tetra simply deletes the remaining body and all of the "related objects" nearby, including the Quills. There's less of... something, in his step, when he moves through the wall to the next room. All the same, he deletes the restraints at Sweep's request.

"I might be able to manage an exfiltration, but only one. We're pretty deep down." He warns.

Kamen Rider Tetra Prime weighs his options and... remains in cover. A part of him wants to fight Ezra just for the fun of it, but he knows that the people who will soon be on the speedy cyborg's receiving end are ideally positioned to fight the interceptor. That leaves people deeper in the opportunity to act.
Ben d'Tarkanan      The alarm sounds. Ben doesn't care. He'd even say 'no matter' if anyone but his ghosts were here as an audience. But there's no one he can project that idealized image to, and so he simply cloaks himself with an invisibility spell. His ghosts do the same.

Together, as one unit, they search the area now that it's been cleared out, walking through obstructions if necessary. In Ben's case, this comes with a cost. Hidden completely, leaving not even footprints or sounds in his wake, he is subjected to the voices.

Where was this mercy in Cyre? In Breland? Where this bravery, in Fort Moss?

The last remark is all he can stand. Now merely invisible as opposed to invisible and intangible, Ben orders his ghosts to fan out and begin freeing the test subjects. They communicate his wishes, but not in a pleasant way. They are without eyes or teeth or tongues, haggard wretches with rusted arms and armor, tattered clothes and wispy hair blowing slowly in some otherworldly breeze. Their speech is in the valley between deathly wheezing and whispering.

go
run
freeee

Ben realizes fairly quickly that this is not a good look, and despite it being a terrible idea, drops his cloak of invisibility. Freeing these people is the right thing to do, of course. But if he can look good doing it, be their hero, have his name on their tongues when they reach safety and speak to their peers. Yes. That would be a much better look.

Grandstanding again, he appears and throws his arms wide and makes a rallying cry that is easily able to be heard down the hall. "The sorrows of this place shall burden you no longer!"
Veldus gau Hydrus Veldus gets a look at one of the injuries, blunt.  Then it was not likely to poison...then they are dealing with something else?  Magic?  That gives a few options, and with a flick of his wrist he snaps a special round into his weapon, and there appears to be a green aura around the gun.  Right now, however, it seems that his guess about Ezra is right.  The boy is smarter than he looks, and than he lets on.

That's good, he will either make a good ally...or a dangerous foe.  Right now, he wants to maintain good relations so that it is the former than the latter.  Ezra heads towards the shot, this gives Veldus a chance to simply go anywhere he wanted.

So Veldus heads deeper in.  Towards the labs and a place to see just what these scientists are doing here.  Even Ezra thinks they're doing something shady, which could play into his hands.  It also means, likely, that the break-in might be the group from before...

No.  They were too brash, too forward.  Were other Multiversal's involved?    Veldus quickens his pace, surprising brisk in his movement.
Xion Xion stands, with her 'delivery girl' disguise, in the entrance to a secure lab next to Burning Man. There's no convenient way to excuse herself from this situation other than running away from it. She's stuck facing this.

A trolley problem. Does it change the moral calculus to step aside and let Fuego do his work? She feels his heart, the rage and flame and heat burning in his breast, drying her face with its warmth.

She can only see the trolley and the switch. She can't count the bodies on the track. Does saving their lives - sparing the negligent, selfish scientists - improve the world?

Does keeping her hands clean, despite her choices within the situation, make a difference between being involved but not making a choice for herself?

Does innocence stem from armament?
Does innocence stem from resistacnce?

Xion's shadow is gaunt in the harsh light of the operating lab, unlinked from her physical form. In her shadow's right hand, a switchblade trembles. Her shadow's head is worse and more disturbing: two 'empty' eyes, like a cut-out, and a cut-out slice of a frowm form a :(-face of negative space that simply should not exist.

Her voice trembles. "You killed a human being to get at some 'power' they had, for selfish gain - for the sheer idea of what you could get from stealing something that wasn't yours?"

"And the person you're worried about isn't the one on the table, but yourselves?"

Xion points at the operating table with outstretched fingers, closing them meaningfully. A dark portal reaches out to swallow the corpse on the table.

"This place is evil and I'm going to destroy it. That's my warning to you. I won't stop you."

Xion steps back, towards the unlocked door. "But I don't have to save you from him."

The door cycles, and Xion leaves through the only exit of the labs. The one that Fuego now solely occupies.

"Trace: On." Xion mutters, under her breath. Long, drill-like swords begin forming in both hands, only to be immediately discarded. She continues through the hallways like that, leaving cracked, throbbing Caladbolgs in her wake like live blocks of colorful magic sword-shaped demolition charges.
Ezra Mochizuki Forte wipes all the data. ALL of it. He has a feeling that, while this isn't the only facility and there's gonna be ways for them to restart using other facilities' data, this will completely cripple this one. They're done.

Tetra deletes Quill's neck. It's smooth. He then deletes the rest of the body, and the quills, killing their research into this man completely.

As the other man is freed and awoken, he starts to shake awake, groggy. "Fuck you, fuck you, fuck-" "Hey, calm down! We're here to help!" Sweep jumps into mist in shock, and the guy stops cursing. He starts to rise, slowly stepping. "Get me the /fuck/ out of here, then!"

That's their one to-go. Veldus approaches one of the labs, finding a woman being patched up right after surgery. She has fish-like scales, and is sedated. The researchers are quiet. And then, the glass shatters, because...

The ghosts manage to free several of the subjects. One of them screams in panic, a sonic scream shattering every tinted glass besides Xion's and Ben's due to distance. This makes traversal much easier, but also makes it clear exactly what they're doing.

Ben is watching them. Grandstanding. A blur, a g-suit, appears in front of him, several feet away. "Oh, you." The voice modulator is on, but he can probably piece exactly who this is from context clues. "I can't let you do that. Sorry, but it's in my contract. Hello!"

His fist swings, burning with intense heat from the velocity, and moves to smash into Ben's face if he gets a chance, trying to burn him and send him backwards.

And then, Ezra takes a glance at the labs, bullets having pierced Ben's glass, and winces. It's clear he didn't know this was a thing, and Does Not Like It...but he's not going to stop.

Xion gives an impassioned speech. The scientists are at first confused, and then scared when the body is scooped up, and then terrified when Xion leaves them with Fuego. Their screams echo down the hall until they're cut off.

Fuego moves to rejoin Xion soon after, body torched, every step burning into the ground. He avoids her Caladbolg shots, which are going to wreck the facility. There's more scientists than subjects, and the scientists are getting blown to bits unless Xion specifically spares them when she chooses to detonate. The abnormals have the right sense to completely avoid the remote bombs, trying to escape with their various powers before they are certainly detonated.
Ezra Mochizuki The Diver Foundation touches down. Six men, three per side. Unlike the body armored guards, these Divers are dressed in actual-factual power armor, each carrying a small pistol, a stun baton, some sort of strange electromagnetic gun, and a dart gun.

They split up as following: one heads down near Forte. One heads towards Tetra and Sweep's position, while another starts heading towards Veldus.

Two head towards Fuego and Xion. One heads towards Ben and Ezra.

They attack based off their foe. If they appear to be flesh, unarmored, or non-cyborg, and aren't specifically trying to hide, they at first check to see if they're personnel. After a bit, however, their orders change. "They want the facility locked down. This is some heinous shit." Tetra hears one say.

Then, any who aren't cybernetic or metal are fired at with darts. Any who /are/ cybernetic or armored are fired at with the electromagnetic guns, which specifically do not give a shit about how ferrous you are. Only that you're metal. Both are devastating - the darts are a strong sedative, while the eletromagnetic guns simply just shock whoever they hit and fuck with their armor.

But, at the same time, these guys aren't super-bosses or anything. Elite mooks, one would suspect. They need to get their work on while moving quickly.

Fuego offers to Xion to go deal with the two Divers for her. There's a subtext that he might not make it back, but she's fighting with passion. Does she accept?
Ben d'Tarkanan      Ben is smashed in the face. This is fine. Ezra announced himself, after all. He does indeed get pushed back, but it's hard. Hitting him is like flogging a corpse--Ezra can be sure that he punched the wizard, but he remains on his feet, digging in his heels. His face is burned by the heat, but even that doesn't seem to elicit a pain response when it clearly ought to.

"You," he says. He knows exactly who it is, recognizing the suit from the theft of Muramasa's blade, and piecing together just who's wearing the suit from the context of the world, the lab, and the mention of a contract. He draws his blade, an exquisitely cared-for longsword with an extra-long handle, featuring a grinning, multi-eyed, fanged monster upon the pommel.

As he lifts the sword, darkness falls over the room. "How can you honor this contract," his voice carries through the darkness. His footsteps do not. "And call yourself a 'hero?'" The last word is when he makes his attack, swinging with all of his unnatural might for Ezra's legs. Perfectly fair and honorable.
Forte The data is deleted. Forte takes a moment to reflect on the differing levels of cybersecurity hardness between the multiverse at large and the home world he left behind.

And then he discards that thought, remembering that his home world didn't quite have that down pat either.

As Forte considers his next move, he gets approached by one of them. He turns his head *just* enough so that he can look at his approacher out of the corner of his eye.

"No," is the simple response given, in regards to any surrendering or questioning or - well, pretty much anything.

And for his troubles (or lack thereof), Forte gets shocked.

"Hff-"

The navi gets knocked to the ground, landing roughly - not anticipating that he'd actually be attacked. "You..."

"... should not have done that.

GAUSSFLAYR N - EXECUTE

Forte's entire right hand from the wrist down breaks apart into blocky cubish shapes, orbits around, and reassembles into a sort of rifle shape - a glowing green core held in place by some otherworldly metal.

"Be glad you're not being deleted here and now," says Forte dispassionately as he aims the Necronic weapon, a bolt of green lighting arcing out towards the weapons that were shooting at him, and whatever they hit starts disintegrating!
Xion Xion smiles, kindly, as Fuego offers to save her from the very threatening Diver Organization. Power armored thugs brandishing weapons, six to a team, march towards them. The shooting will start in moments.

But unlike the lab, there's really no choice. "Thanks! But the Kamen Rider's right. The teleporting one here is me."

A portal opens 'beside' Fuego, as Xion just armshoves the resistance leader into the sworling vortex to safety. She is not precisely gentle, but this is not a gentle situation.

The portal snaps shut as soon as Fuego is through, Xion immediately having to duck darts a she is clearly armed with a spare Caladbolg, which is extremely obviously a chunky drill sword that throbs with barely restrained magical power.

She's littered the place with them, it hardly matters.

Alone, Xion summons a second blade to her left hand, shouldering the weapon. With her right, she takes a fencer's stance, swordtip forward. "If you don't come at me with your whole hearts, I'll easily see the gap I can take advantage of."

Another fusillade of darts are slapped out of the air with preturnatural and effortless skill from her ready stance.

"Get out of my way, racists."

SHE begins advancing on THEM.
Veldus gau Hydrus Veldus comes right upon the ending of surgery, forcing his way into the room he starts to push forward until...

There is a flash, as a headache seems to overcome Veldus for a moment, and images flash through his head.  The surgery is in view, as he watches the experiment going forward.  Taking something from the abnormal, and trying to transfer it into something else.  Electronic?  Cybernetics.  The information is being taken...

The dream subsides, as the sonic bursts shatter the window.  His ears are ringing, but thankfully he is a bit hardier than that.  Still, it's a lot for his mind to process all at once, and even then a bit of a trail of blood can be felt coming down his nose.  He's going to need an Advil for that.

Thinking of a solution, he sends a message out on his radio, while also dealing with the new player on the stage.  He moves over to the doctor, and pulls her into a fireman carry, walking towards the hallway and towards the Driver.  "I am cooperating with you, we should get her to your vehicle before sweeping through here.  You are likely to be dealing with multiversals, so you'll want to stay with me."
Hamada Haru The badge at Kamen Rider Tetra #2's belt shines ominously for a moment. He nods towards the freed man, "Fine, but I'll expect a favor in return. You have special abilities too, right?"

He doesn't wait for the question to be answered, instead waving towards the bike, "Get on. Both of you. Sweep, you're small, get in front of me. If they come in here while we're exiting I don't want you to be in direct line-of-sight. Vulgar man, sidecar. Be careful of the head in there, I'm trying to get it back reasonably intact."

Once the RIDING CONFIGURATION IS ESTABLISHED, Kamen Rider Tetra #2 aims his motorcycle towards the wall, revs the engine, and goes tearing off straight into the wall. Ordinarily, this would be a terrible idea. But instead of colliding with the wall, a thumb-switch on the handlebar is flipped.

                            << Deletion Protocol: >>

                                  << TUNNEL >>

The motorcycle announces, as it tears a hole in the wall and any surrounding materials, sloping up inexplicably as if on a ramp towards freedom.

Kamen Rider Tetra Prime... arrives in time to intercept electromagnetic darts shot at the back of Tetra #2's passenger. They strike him center mass, causing him to jerk painfully in place for a moment before the durability conferred by his transformation allows him to steady himself again. A grunt of pain and a deep breath follows, as his left hand falls to his belt buckle.

Tetra Prime twists the badge in his belt. The badge opens, exposing... something. That 'something' has a reddish-orange core with a yellow exterior, pulsing with what feels like a heartbeat. No, not quite a heartbeat. The words that come next are loud, ringing, even from a great distance.

                            << KAMEN RIDER TETRA >>

                            << CALAMITY PROFILE: >>

                                << INORGANIC >>

The armored warrior leaps into a flying kick that would feel hilariously broadcasted if he wasn't so /fast/. It's aimed at the center mass of the power armored operative and the shock of a direct hit would be bad enough--

But it doesn't need a direct hit. The moment Tetra Prime's boot makes contact with something -- the armor, the floor -- there is a shrieking hum as a partially transparent sphere of shaded space expands outward from the point of impact and simply scours nonliving matter from the surroundings. It expands out into the surrounding lab, up into the ceiling and whatever lies beyond -- probably threatening an immediate collapse of this room, if not collapsing it immediately -- but most importantly threatening to just completely annihilate the operative's power armor.

Up on his motorcycle...

Kamen Rider Tetra #2 twists his belt's badge awkwardly given the seating arrangements, closing up the ominous power source.

Back in the lab...

Kamen Rider Tetra Prime stops existing.
Ezra Mochizuki Darkness falls over the room. Ezra cannot see in darkness. The sword sweeps his legs, knocking him to the ground, but he's quick both in his mind and in his feet. He kicks rapidly, over and over, speedy kicks moving to hit Ezra and start flames on his suit, allowing him to see as he rises.

"Is a chained dog a bad dog, or simply one who hasn't gotten to accomplish their dreams yet?" It's kinda stupid, but it's the only retort Ezra has, as he moves towards the nearby cryogenics lab using the heat to illuminate the sign, though as the flames wear off, he's simply in the light, seeing the big cloud of dark. He has /no clue/ where Ben is in there.

So, he rips off a cryogenics hose, and moves to spray down the entire area with ice cold mist, trying to give him hypothermia if it hits. "Now, kindly, /fuck off/ and /mind your own business/!"

Forte turns his arm into a rifle and fires ta the Diver trooper. The green lightning hits his electromagnetic gun, which starts disintegrating...and melts into nothing. The response is to grab a baton, and start swinging with skill, trying to electrify him and put him on the ground. "Freeze!"

The scientist struggles at first, but comes with Veldus. The Diver operative actually seems...surprised? But he nods, putting away his guns and allowing Veldus to leave with him. They've got trucks up top to escort these people out for questioning.

Xion pushes Fuego through a portal. He didn't like that, but he doesn't have much of a choice. He is spared a Fate by Xion's actions.

And then she starts deflecting darts. She gets the feeling those darts are Bad News, so this is a good idea. However, after firing their darts, the Divers don't keep firing them uselessly.

"EM!" One radios to the other, in earshot.

They swap out to the strange hyperfuturistic guns, and fire two electromagnetic waves, one each, that also affect flesh! They affect flesh /very/ painfully, sending people flying back or electrifying them. Xion can probably resist both, but it's not a pleasant experience, as they start stepping back, trying to keep range with her and fire more electromagnetic shocks that just /screw up/ the senses.

The Abnormals have mostly gotten towards the exit, though they'll need a passage further out, since there's sure to be security up above and Diver to deal with. Not all of them, though - a bit more fighting is necessary.

Meanwhile, one Tetra has the Vulgar Man get on his motorcycle, while Sweep gets in front. "Okay!" The vulgar man scoffs. "Yeah, sure. I'm a fucking ice guy like that." No, that's not a typo.

The room collapses around the other one. His armor would protect him - if it still existed, as it disintegrates. The armor is not what is special about these guys, clearly, though they have /something/ special about them.

They're going to have to dig him out of the rubble.
Forte "Persistent. Tiresome."

AREA_STEAL A - LOADING

And gone. The trooper gets a good hit in - and then Forte is simply gone.

Or, well, teleported somewhere behind the trooper, and then quickly flying away down the halls, similarly evading anyone else heading his way.

Killing these doesn't seem to be the thing to do, so absent a target to delete Forte is just simply going to leave.
Veldus gau Hydrus "Don't act so surprised," Veldus says as he moves along.  "I simply wanted my own assurances.  Unlike most others, violence is not the only tool I use."

Veldus continues to walk out, seemingly not being slowed down at all by carrying the scientist.  Though when she looks at him, those eyes seem to glow with a strange gear or clock in his eyes.  He knows, somehow, he knows.

However, where he goes with this information is anyone's guess right now.
Ben d'Tarkanan      Ben is sprayed with cryogenic fluid, his skin frosting over to the point that, beneath the ice, it cracks and bleeds in places. His leather jerkin freezes against him, and frost accumulates over his eyebrows and mustache. He makes no effort to mitigate or avoid it. Ezra is no longer his priority, and he has made his point besides.

His limbs slow, leaden, unresponsive, Ben nevertheless forces his way forward. He's been asked, privately, to see to the rescue of an Abnormal woman. This is not at all a problem for him, as he's made up his mind to see to the rescue of as many as possible. The ghosts in the hall with Ezra disappear, invisibly making their way to the guards they previously slew in defense of Ben. The guards rise, more like puppets being lifted by a string than like living beings getting back to their feet.

Flanked by a cadre of dead guards risen by the corpus of his ghostly soldiers, Ben arrives to rescue the Abnormal woman. If she can walk on her own, he'll have the zombies take up defensive positions around her, as if escorting her. If not, he'll carry her himself in a suitably heroic fireman's carry.

"Come--and play along, if you wish to know freedom again."

His plan is to just walk right out, and Charm anyone who questions him, engendering a sense of trust and camaraderie. Having fostered that trust, he'll say that she's being relocated, and that the guards suffered some minor injuries stopping the terrorists. He... /did/ just demand Diver's surrender over the radio, though, so his voice might be familiar...
Xion Xion tries to deflect one of the EM rounds with an extremely magical sword.

It is also an extremely *metal* sword, and the energy jumps from the drill-blade into her palm. From there, pain shoots through her whole body. Her stance falters.

The blade that had attempted the parry cracks and bulges dangerously.

Dropping the Caladbolg reaching criticality, Xion takes a step back. "You may want to run."

Her form blurs and pops like static on a mis-aligned television antenna, before she ceases to exist in that point in space.

Meanwhile, in the building, her 'remote bombs' she had scattered on the way out all go off in a groundrattling detonation.
Ezra Mochizuki Forte manages to teleport away, leaving a surprised guard who moves to contain unconscious or dead security guards and scientists.

Veldus gets away simply, with the scientist and Diver. He's earned a connection, for sure.

Ben's ghosts take over the bodies of the guards, escorting the injured woman out. Luckily, Diver Organization doesn't identify him, and they're so busy they don't screw with him. He'll need to get the woman to medical care, but it's much better than where she was. In the process, Ezra disappears. He could have pursued Ben - but for some reason, he consciously chose not to.

Xion's critcal sword causes the operatives to curse. "Go, go!" They don't pursue Xion, especially as she disappears, instead pulling back to retreat. The bombs explode. The facility is /totalled/.

The above-ground lab is probably in critical condition as well, due to the explosions, but up there, there's few if any casualties. They've messed up Raiden good.

Mission accomplished.
Ben d'Tarkanan      Ben takes the Abnormal woman wherever she asks to go, regarding her medical care.

That isn't the end of his business here, however. Money is no object to him. He can't accept the corporation's money, having gone back on his word. Someone more virtuous might refuse to accept it for other reasons. Perhaps those are among his reasons, but the first among them is his personal code.

He arranges a transfer of funds to the Raiden Corporation, covering both his fee, and a generous extra sum for damages. Because he is somewhat stupid in such matters, he also includes his name, all but confirming that he ransacked their facility and sabotaged their research. True to his word, he also has a courier deliver an invoice to the nearest branch of the local government, for 'services rendered towards halting human trafficking.'

It is essentially both a challenge to the city, and a declaration of allegiance to the Abnormals. With the last of his errands complete, he whistles for his horse.

     "Yah!"

He is through the warpgate before the end of the hour.
