Hellwarming Trio As promised, nothing's happening! At least, nothing yet. There's a certain red-haired girl with cat ears sitting on a strangely wrapped up wheelbarrow, though, watching the freeway in front of her with a bored look on her face. Said wheelbarrow and catgirl are both on the roof of a conveniently labeled fireworks factory, and it looks like she's just about ready to leave when...

There's a screech. A car fishtails out of control for no reason beyond being a Jersey driver, and it strikes a truck. The truck careens in turn, and it tips over onto its side, blocking off that side of the freeway in a matter of seconds. A good dozen cars, going at standard freeway speed and having the sheer bad luck to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, end up as the victims of a rather grisly pileup.

All Rin needs to do now is find a good spot to get the fire started, and then she can move on to phase two of her plan.
Hesinca According to legend, if you embark on a worthy and righteous quest, an angel will descend from heaven to bless you and assist you in bringing order to the world.

However, the opposite is also true.

A glowing floor tile appears near Rin's spot, and a demon centaur bursts forth. "Ah-ha! Who's ready to cause a major traffic accident!"

She pounds her fist into her other palm, and then looks down at the scene.

"Oh, they... they did it to themselves already."

"This is the problem with humanity these days."
Robin Sundance      A grappling hook latches to the side of the factory roof.

A man trailing rainbow sparkles from his scarf flips up, over Hesinca and Rin, and lands in a perfect ten-point landing, one hand over his chest.

There are flowers in Hesinca's and Rin's hair.

     A pair of black-eyed susans.

     Justice.

The man smiles. A keyring comes out of nowhere. He spins it, idly, a gunslinger spinning his weapon. It jingles and jangles. "Bonjour, madamoiselles~."

     "Allow me to introduce myself."

The white-haired young man steps forward. "Je m'apelle Robin Sundance. I have twenty-four years of age." He sweeps his hand at their hair. "I love flowers. I teach French at a charming private academy."

     "And,"

He holds up a strange object. It looks like a vault door, but an oversized belt buckle? "I am here to stop you."

He slaps the buckle on his waist. The belt grows around it instantly. "While I would have no problem with you doing as you please with the dead, there are no doubt innocent people inside. Mais, more than that, emergency services are likely on their way to rescue who they can."

"So it is, I think, my duty to stop you, oui? Or at least slow you down."

He holds up one of the keys. It has a domino mask on it. He slams it into the side of the belt buckle, takes a stance, and says, "Transform."

                               B-B-B-BURGLAR!

Robin spreads his arms as armor forms around him. Two headpieces, equal parts antennae and key-shape. Red-and-black armor with highlights of gold. A rippling black bottom-cape, like the ends of a trenchcoat. And, last but not least, the eyes, locking into green gems, with a black domino mask wrapped around the lenses.

One gauntlet goes to his head. A single finger rises at the two. "Masked Ranger, Thief."

"An advance notice, ma belle madamoiselles; I'll be snatching this victory."
Rubi-Kan Vagrants      The roar of chemical thrusters. The whine of an engine. As a rider passes, all those drivers who weren't killed outright in the pileup have their wounds heal. The engines and thrusters grow louder and louder until a heavily armored, undoubtedly milsurp hoverbike pulls high above the truck. It falls back down to the tarmac.

Bercilak pulls it into a graceful, controlled drift, coming to a stop as his armor rapidly materializes over his towering, muscled body. He steps off of the bike. It disappears, deconstructed by an encroaching tide of blue light. His axe, a massive bearded thing with a straight edge and clear indications of advanced technology contained within its head, appears in his hand.

"...and Bercilak of the High Wasteland am I." He cracks his neck just as that horned helmet appears, a cloak of helleria grass and helleborne flowers growing at his back. He gives a few warm-up swings with his axe, then beats a meaty armored fist upon the huge harness over his chest in challenge. "If cadavers thou lest, thou shalt not hath theim here."
Hellwarming Trio Maybe the window? The vent spewing out hot air would probably be a good spot to get things started. Before Rin finalizes that step of her plan, she looks up as Hesinca makes her appearance and comments on human tendencies.  "Yo. Is that a problem? It makes my job easier, at least. Killing them myself would get too much attention, anyway." She replies with a shrug, conveniently ignoring the fact her plan would and already has brought more attention in the form of the white-haired Robin.

Also, a flower in her hair. It actually mixes pretty well, color-wise. "Whoa. You're that guy from the radio!" Rin laughs excitedly and peers in through the window again, not quite registering right away that he's there to actually stop her. "So anyway, I'm thinking of putting it in through..."

Wait. He /is/ there to stop here. He literally just said it. "Emergency services? Oh, right, humans have that around here... Well, they're probably gonna die anyway, right? Human healers can't be /that/ great. But if you're really that sure of yourself..."

Stepping away from the window, Rin holds her arms out to the side as wisps of flame appear on each side of her. She draws a wide circle with her arms, moving the flames above and below her before stomping once and bringing her hand to her face in some kind of vaguely threatening pose. "Don't think I'm gonna go easy on you!"

And then she hears the voice of a certain green knight. Freezing up for a moment, Rin clears her throat and inches ever so slightly in Robin's direction vaguely. ".. A-anyway. Don't butt in! The fires have to stay stoked somehow, and it's not like anyone's gonna miss them, anyway!"

And so, the battle begins! Rin moves to strike first, leaping from side to side as a veritable buttload of flaming wisps launch outwards in a cone, coming out in fairly straight lines that intersect with the next wave coming out from each hop. Even here, she's still fighting with somewhat specific patterns that, conveniently enough, are facing away from the very windows and vents she had been considering moments ago.

MEANWHILE

The pile up is pretty bad, but sirens can be heard in the distance. They're probably coming from the opposite direction, because the freeway pileup has completely blocked off that side of the road.
Hellwarming Trio ALSO MEANWHILE

Utsuho is hard at working managing the fires in her neck of the woods. It's kind of rough, but she's starting to get a feel for it again after what that fox did. She will not be relevant for the rest of this scene.
Robin Sundance      Thief has clearly never played a shmup. You can tell, because when he moves to dodge, he gets clipped by the first flame. Sparks crackle from his arm as he's sent sprawling directly into another pair of blasts, which elicit more sparks, which sends him flying, rolling backwards along the factory roof until he hits one of those big metal air conditioners factories keep on top. He groans slightly. Alright. Perhaps that wasn't the best of ideas.

The Masked Ranger stands up and rolls his arm, bouncing back and forth on his heels as he gets himself back in gear. As Bercilak undoubtedly goes in, Thief goes around. He springs off the radiator into a run, circling around the cat-girl. The Rifler, sleek red-and-gold grapple gun, snaps up into his hand, and he fires the hook-

-and misses Rin by a mile. It dangles off the roof of the building uselessly.

     Or...

Thief gives it a single tug. The hook goes taut - and then launches him forward, one hand on his head as if holding onto an elegant hat. He goes shooting into the melee, his foot whipping around for a roundhouse kick at Rin's head.

The Rifler carries him off the side, but that's no trouble. The Masked Ranger just snags his foot on the edge of the roof and props himself back up in a show of acrobatic stupidity common in this sort of thing.
Rubi-Kan Vagrants Rin: It's not like anyone's gonna miss them, anyway!

This draws a single, mocking belly-laugh from Bercilak. "Who art thou, to announce swich? Som-bodi withoute frends, I trow." As those flaming wisps launch outwards from Rin, he stands in place, watching her movements, bringing the haft of his axe to slap into the waiting palm of his left hand. Apparently having taken her measure, he begins slowly marching forward.

There--an opening. He dashes through one of her flames, his heavy harness clipped at the abdomen as he makes a thruster assisted juke around it, positioning himself in front of the factory's main entrance as Robin vaults to the top. The hem of his cloak ignites as he drives his axe into the asphalt. A massive venus flytrap sprouts under the spot he anticipated Rin would hop to next. Bercilak yanks the axe from the ground and charges her position at a full sprint.

A thrust of the weapon's eye is made at her stomach, an attempt to knock the wind out of her mid-leap. The axe is flipped around in his grasp, and he then attempts to use the flat cheek as a hammer to knock her into the venus flytrap with an overhead two-handed swing.
Hellwarming Trio That actually looked kind of nasty. It doesn't make Rin feel bad or anything, though, as she starts laughing instead when that hook goes right past her. "Hah! For all that cool suit stuff you got on, you're a lot better at catching on fire than firing anything and hitting with it!" She laughs, she wipes a tear off her face for posturing purposes, and she even laughs when Bercilak goes right for the jugular.

"As if! Master and Okuu'll never turn on me, so that's way more than whoever's up over there, anyway!" Apparently, she seems okay with just being able to name two, but her laughter stops abruptly once she realizes what's going on with Bercilak predicting her movement and intercepting her fleet-footedness with a charge right where she's going.
Oh hell.

The thief makes contact first, his foot connecting solidly against the side of Rin's arm as she brings it up to not get booted right in the face. It sends her staggering back a few steps from the impact, putting her in the prime position for Bercilak's followup swing. Rin shrieks as she pulls the wheelbarrow over to block his axe, the wood splintering and her leg getting chomped on by that plant as she's pinned down from three sides.

"Fine, fine! If you wanna go this hard right away, then we'll go hard! We'll go extra hard! Come on out!" The wrapped thing on the wheelbarrow bursts open on one end as a swarm of zombified* fairies bursts out of it, flitting about and firing off a blinding barrage of bullets the pair from close range. Worse yet, however, is what happens when the fairies get touched by Robin, Bercilak, or even Rin's followup flames: They start exploding** in bursts of yet more bullets!

*They're just dressed like zombies. They're having fun with it.
**It's just a bigger spray, and then they take a dive.
Robin Sundance      Thief swings himself back onto the roof just in time to get hit by a whole mess of exploding faerie bullets.

Or, well, nearly get hit, at first. To his credit, the Masked Ranger is actually both nimble and evasive, weaving and ducking and dodging and rolling. He baseball-slides under a faerie explosion. His hand catches the ground to turn around mid-slide, then backspring with the momentum over another faerie. He lands, sidesteps a third, and-

-gets caught by the fourth and fifth exploding near Bercilak, cutting off his escape route. These blasts rock along his body, more sparks and explosions erupting from the suit. Thief stumbles, almost hitting the ground, but manages to stay on his feet.

"Bravo, madamoiselle," he manages, "Tres impressive."

"Mais, two can play this game, oui?" He holds up a big, cartoonish prison key - one of the Breaking Keys. It has a hat on the inside.

He jams the key into the Vaulder and spins the wheel.

                               M-M-M-MOBSTER!

The armor on Burglar Form's hands turns black, with white hands. The coat turns black. The key antennae flatten out like a hat brim. Gold and silver stripes run all down the body like a pinstripe suit. A key-shaped symbol appears right under the neck, like a tie.

Thief raises the Rifler in both hands. The hook becomes a handle. He grabs it and points it at Rin.

     He pulls the trigger.

It's an old-school tommygun. Except, you know, for the part where it's shooting lasers that look like grappling hooks, and the part that it's not spray-and-pray - it's crazy precise, laser-curving nonsense to suppress the faeries and maybe hem Rin in for Bercilak to really get a shot off.
Rubi-Kan Vagrants Rin: As if! Master and Okuu'll never turn on me, so that's way more than whoever's up over there, anyway!

The zombified fairies were a most entertaining obstacle, upon his journey with Reimu, Marisa, Muramasa, and Tamamo. At the time, he had charged through them. But if Rin is going to go all out, then so will he. He's not just a brute--Bercilak's skill with his axe is rare even for those who favor the weapon, and his agility, while falling short of Robin's is impressive for a man of his size even without the armor's assistance.

Burst of flame from Rin's bullets, and collateral from those zombie-costumed fairies which explode outside his reach nick, dent and melt his armor, which quickly regenerates to mend the damage. Choking up all the way to the beard and holding the axe with one hand, Bercilak uses the weapon's heavy head as a blast shield, making strikes with the cheek to soak up those explosions point-blank.

He punches and swats his way through the cloud of fairies, using his legs and shoulders to drive the force of the blows, tossing the axe to the other hand when necessary so as not to turn his back on Rin.

<Tac-Watch> 4 Robin Sundance says, "Monsieur, allow me to play her game back to give you an opening."
<Tac-Watch 4 Bercilak says, "Verily!"
<Tac-Watch 4 Robin Sundance says, "Tres bien. Follow my lead."

Robin's thinking of something. Better distract her. "And hau wouldst thou ilike hit, if I quelled thy master and Okuu," he says, spearing the haft into the earth to create a field of thick stumps before the factory, hemming in the advance, "...onli to saciate hunger of a place thou hath ne'er ofhered? Swich is preciseli what thou profren theim withinne yon craftinge-place." The opening comes.

Bercilak's thrusters fire, and he races through the explosions caused by Robin's lasers, feet never touching the ground as he flies and darts through each gap created. Finally, Rin is within striking distance again. Rolling to the side to allow more of those homing lasers to strike her, his feet hit the ground with a heavy thud. It's combo time.

The butt of the haft cracks in a rapid two-handed strike aimed at her temple. More of it is used, as he attempts to press it past her guard, into her throat to throw her to the ground. Following that, a rapid series of fluidly moving swings, utilizing the very tip of the weapon's edge in arcing under- and over-hand swoops, culminating in one broad, sweeping flick of the beard, meant to sweep her up and toss her into the air to grant Robin more clean shots.
Hellwarming Trio Finding her footing (figuratively only, because of that damn plant), Rin chuckles confidently at Thief's compliment and only just stops herself from holding the back of her hand to her mouth for that OHOHO laugh.

Mostly because it'd look weird on her. She doesn't really have the height or the tone for that. "Scared yet? It's not too late to run away!" She starts laughing, but quiets down once Thief retrieves a giant key. She's not quite sure what it's for, but the curiousity is too much for her not to stand there and watch while he does that.

He unlocks a hat and transforms with it. He freaking transforms with it. Despite facing off against the Masked Ranger,  Rin can't help but cheer at the transformation in excitement... Right until he starts shooting more of those grappling hooks at her. She's protecting the sides of her head this time, expecting another flying roundhouse kick to the face, but that just means she's a sitting duck when they're actually coming right at her!

The lasers sweep over Rin repeatedly with a great deal of frustrated yelps, and the fairies are all but wiped out between said lasers as well as Bercilak using them as batting practice. Some of them might even look like they recognize the knight for an instant before getting battered away, too.

"Quelled? Wait, you wouldn't..." The distraction is successful as Rin's eyes widen at first, then narrow while an actual scowl crosses her face. "You're bluffin'. You're supposed to be some kinda knight, right? But..."

But what if he does mean it? She's seen him in action before, she's seeing it again, and she doesn't even know much about the Thief or his willingness to take things even further. While Rin's thoughts are occupied, Bercilak closes the distance, and her wheelbarrow isn't quite full of fairies or corpses enough to weather more of those strikes. Instead, she starts trying to deflect the blows with her arms, stepping back and forth just far enough with her free leg each time to mitigate the impacts at least a little bit instead of taking every single one at full force.

On the plus side, getting launched into the air gets her leg free from that venus flytrap, but it also means getting hit with more lasers on the way. She doesn't come down immediately, though, but remains in the air as a blue and white fireball forms overhead.

"Master trusted you... If that's what you're really plannin', though, then I'll make sure to bring your corpses back with me!" Sounding actually enraged, Rin reaches into the glowing mass before flinging it towards the pair of Elites, sending down an  avalanche of flaming* bullets.

*The factory is still relatively safe, at least. For now!
Hellwarming Trio MEANWHILE

Emergency services have finally arrived, and they're hard at work getting the survivors out! There's also a lot of rubbernecking going on, both from people driving down the other side of the freeway and from people stuck behind the overturned truck. It's not like they have anything else to do while waiting for the tows to arrive.
Rubi-Kan Vagrants Rin: You're bluffin'. You're supposed to be some kinda knight, right? But...
Rin: Master trusted you... If that's what you're really plannin', though, then I'll make sure to bring your corpses back with me!

"Thou'rt wrothli," says Bercilak in response, "Bicause I threpened thy frends. Bicause thou'rt caren of theim!" He calls up at her. Bullets begin to rain down on their position. Better their position than the workers in the factory. To reach her, he'll need more than his microthrusters. He'll need his steed.

As fiery impacts fall all around him, the massive hoverbike is called forth. He steps astride it and guns the throttle. His venus flytrap is incenerated. The Green Knight races into the sky, axe held quite differently than when he was on foot. He weaves through the barrage, but there's too much. Scorch-marks dot the thick armored plating of the bike, smudging out the motifs of hounds chasing alien prey. One strikes heam dead in the face, lifting the helmet from his head in a partially molten misshapen heap.

As he pulls into a perilously tight barrel roll to weave through another wave, he comes back up with several smoldering holes in his chest, one punched all the way through. The wound heals rapidly, though the armor doesn't mend as quickly.

"Nau thou perpend wherefore we inseke to halt thee--bicause thei binethe us hath frends who art caren of theim als." He charges her position head on, playing chicken with her, attempting to ram her with the cowcatch of that armored mechanical beast of a bike. At the last second he inverts, attacking from above with a punch to the top of her head, using the bike's force to augment that of his blow, and burning her with the thrusters as he passes.

"Thire is plenteth of sorwe in the world withoute thy lachesse quelling!" He pulls a tight loop which would likely be injurious to any rider less hardy than he, to make a quick follow-up at-speed. "If thou wouldst saciate thy flames, thanne make discreteli thy quelling! Ifinde theim that deserven hit! Elles that, AL-WAIS SHALT I HALT THEE!" The edge of the axe is brought up against her in an underhanded swing as he passes by a second time.
Robin Sundance      It's an avalanche of fire.

Thief wastes no time. The Rifler Tommy snaps up. Like a gangster in an old-school movie Thief starts firing into the air. The laser-hooks catch as many of the flaming bolts as they possibly can, punching through one, two, three at a time - but there's just way too many. In short order Thief has to give up, bringing his free hand over his head. The rain of fire comes down.

     Explosion.

Thief goes spilling to the ground in a shower of sparks and smoke. Unlike his prior stumble he just flat-out falls, slumping as if a bag of concrete was dropped into his hands. The roof he's on is cracked, and is quickly, quickly caving in under the weight of Thief's body. Chunks of concrete and rebar fall against other layers of roof with loud thumps. A moment later Thief falls with them.

He lays there among the rubble for a few seconds, long enough to let the ringing in his ears clear out and the pain across his shoulders fade. Then, carefully, he pulls himself to his feet. He wobbles.

An old-timey key with a top hat spins into his fingers. He snaps it into the Vaulder and spins the handle.

                             PH-PH-PH-PHANTOM!

The armor turns black and white, layered with a silver trim. The key-shaped antennae fold forward, then close together to form a visored impression of a top hat. A metallic red rose appears on the side of his chest. The gold key tie from Mobster Form turns silver.

The Rifler Tommy spins in his hand. He grabs it by the hook and snaps it sideways. It extends into a cane. Thief tucks the cane under his elbow and hops up the fallen cement.

He lands in a kneel, his coat-tails flapping behind him. Thief stands and looks up at Rin high in the sky. "Oh la la~. So high up, and so quick on her feet, with so much fire behind her."

Bercilak hops on his bike and goes shooting into the sky to draw her fire. Thief spreads his arms in a shrug. "Well, that is one way to get there. Mais, not one suited for me, I think...I shall be right behind you."

He slams the key into the Vaulder and turns it. Sirens begin to wail. Alarm-lights flash across the belt. The door-handle starts to turn. The top hat symbol pulses.

Thief spins the key out and jams it into the hilt of the Rifler Cane. He turns it once.

     And then he disappears.

Without warning there's a glowing red gash in space behind Rin. Then another - an X!

Then an X to her right!

Then an X to her left!

As Bercilak charges in from the front, the Xs spin, trailing ruby light.

     They're roses.

                               R-R-R-REVEAL!

Thief reappears, swinging the Rifler Cane directly into one of the spinning roses. The three of them close in like great hands to clasp Rin with all the force they can muster.

MASQUERAID!                                  The Rifler Cane flips upside down as Thief falls. It just...deploys a stylish rose-shaped umbrella. Thief drifts safely downwards, pressing two fingers against the place on his mask where his lips would be and blowing Rin a kiss as he falls.

He lands, snaps the umbrella shut, and tucks the cane back under his arm.
Hellwarming Trio Rin's panting by the time the avalanche of flames dies down, moderately regretting putting that much energy into the attack so soon. What's worse is that it doesn't look like either the Thief or the Knight have given up, either, and now she's on the back foot with the counterattack beginning right through those very flames. Bercilak comes riding in first, momentarily hidden from view by the flames until he's close enough that Rin just has to suck it up and dive right at him, trying to intercept the blow before it can catch her fully.

It catches her right in the face. Thankfully, it's Bercilak's fist rather than his bike that does so, but it's not exactly comforting to get hit by a motorbike regardless.  The followup swing keeps Rin in the air long enough that she has time to contemplate her life choices, what Bercilak's just said, perhaps a witty response instead of just letting her temper flare up again at being played so hard (and even getting set on fire herself to boot).

That, or just figuring out how to extract herself from this. Alas, her brain isn't quite that fast, and she only has enough time to think about how to fall somewhat gracefully just in time for the Thief's sirens to begin wailing from further below. She sees the blackened armor, the fancy top hat, the silver tie, and even his sudden disappearance.

How the hell is she supposed to deal with that? Relying on her intuition, Rin closes her eyes while drawing more energy from the fire that she still has in her back pocket (figuratively), opening them once the first X appears and slamming her fists forward into...

Nothing! There's two more Xs. There's roses. She's been around enough danmaku battles to know where this is going, and the best she can do is clench as the roses slam in, pummeling the angry cat as she continues falling.

"Rassa.. Freakin'... Alright, fine! You wanna hold onto some corpses so badly, you can keep 'em! But only if you can take this last one!" And then she's losing her temper again. Rin stops herself in midair, already smoking and battered pretty badly, but her fighting spirit is still going strong! Mimicking that kiss blown by Robin, she brings the last wisp to her face to blow on it gently, releasing it into the air. It expands, then starts bursting with rapidly zig-zagging waves of fire. Although it's not quite at the same intensity as her previous attacks, it's still putting out a lot of fire, and it seems to be her last ditch effort to try and put the Thief and the Knight down!
Robin Sundance      Rin ignites the sky again.

This time, Thief is ready for it.

He twirls. He spins. The cane comes up occasionally, not to deflect the flame but to push *him*. The flames that get near him are close and brutal - sparks exploding across his chest, the occasional stumble, the occasional fall - but Phantom is clearly much more suited to this role than Mobster, much more suited to dodging and surviving and dancing around attacks. He abuses the momentum Rin so graciously grants him to spin and whirl, turning near-definite hits into close misses. When the attack ends, Thief lands in a front-flip, cane tucked under his hand, and brushes his fingers across the hat-visor.

He spins the cane and plants it on the ground, leaning on it expectantly.
Hellwarming Trio After Rin finishes firing off that last wave, she starts laughing again, her confidence returning even as her attacks stop. "H... Hah! How do you like that, punks?! You're not so tough. I'll take you all on, and then...!"  She sounds a bit woozy, and she might have went a little too overboard on that last one.

Rin drifts towards the still-solid part of the factory's roof briefly, makes it about a foot over, then just drops right out of the sky. She definitely overdid it.

MEANWHILE

The factory workers are just going to clock out now and get the hell out of the way. They're not getting paid to stick around for whatever this is.
Robin Sundance                                  CRIME OUT

Thief's armor breaks apart as Robin goes running. This really isn't even a question; there's two options, and only one of them is a real option. He could let her fall...but, again, that's not a real option.

Robin puts one foot on the radiator, hops up, snags Rin out of the sky in a princess carry, flips forward, and lands, skidding to the end of the factory roof. He stops at the ledge. Now that he's untransformed, it's clear that Robin is bruised, bloodied, and all kinds of not great; his shirt is shredded, his face is bleeding, there's burns across his torso.

     But he's still standing, so.
Rubi-Kan Vagrants Rin: Rassa.. Freakin'... Alright, fine! You wanna hold onto some corpses so badly, you can keep 'em! But only if you can take this last one!

The last one is a formidable attack indeed. As he comes back for another pass, Bercilak puts the bulky, armored bike to use, soaking up the brunt of the attack. Pulling into a hard bank, zig-zagging streams of fire buffet the thick armored plates, melting through them. Smoke rises from the internals as something inside catches on fire. Though the sparks quickly die out, it's far from the only damage done.

Swinging his axe about him to use the cheek as a target shield, Bercilak himself is still struck, his cape set ablaze, his armor blackened, deformed. The heavy harness upon his chest is heated to the point that the synthetic weave beneath it catches fire, too. He grunts, smoke rising all about him, stinging his eyes even as nanites rapidly counteract first the immediate threat, then the wounds, then the irritation. Even with that, his thick, armored form bears the signs of intense battle, scored and partially melted as his own injuries are prioritized. His axe, lifted and poised to strike, lowers when he notices that Rin has worn herself out.

<Tac-Watch> [4] Bercilak says, "Doth thou hath her?"
<Tac-Watch> [4] Robin Sundance says, "Oui, un moment."

As his armor begins to mend itself, and the bike's heavy plating does the same, Bercilak turns and comes in for a landing. Robin's wounds, and Rin's, begin to mend themselves: broken bones set and fuse, cuts are disinfected, new skin grows to replace what was lost, burns salved and treated. It's nowhere near as quick as his personal healing factor, but it can treat the most serious of injuries and beats waiting around at home. Or in a fiery hell cavern.

He dismounts from the bike, approaching, regarding the unconscious troublemaker with a furrow of green brows. "I am not unfavored of her stacioun, ne her servicies. But so hop I she shalt take this dai to herte, and quell not lachesseli he'onne-forthe-wards." Robin is given a pat on the shoulder.

"I knoue the wai to her master's dweling-place, if thou lest not ileve her where-sum she might iwakien and take to werde ayen the ungilti." The axe disappears, consumed in blue light. "Elles that, I bid thee god-dai, sib."
Hellwarming Trio Instead of being treated to a dainty anime-girl sigh on the catch, Robin and Bercilak get to hear Rin letting out the equivalent of someone doing a decent cat impression half-hissing and half-hocking, but really tired. She's light, at least, and still in enough of a daze that she doesn't scramble or start clawing at the Thief immediately nor kicking out at Bercila.

Instead, she's just slumped over almost bonelessly. "I'll take your... Day... Hard. Not like I was gonna take anyone that wasn't dead already." She mutters with all the piss and vinegar that would be expected of someone far younger looking, even crossing her arms after a moment and huffing indignantly at the interruption. Still, she's not going to object to getting a free lift to her place.

Her wheelbarrow crashes into the ground moments later with that terrible wood-on-concrete bashing noise. At least there were no other people in the factory to worry about getting hit by the thing.

MEANWHILE

The situation on the freeway is finally turning around! Tow trucks have gotten the truck off to one side, so cars are finally free to start moving again, albeit slowly. The injured are being checked over by emergency medical services, and they and said services are thoroughly confused by the lack of apparent injuries despite the terrible crashes and small-ish number of immediate fatalities.
